You know, I feel like Brady Quinn and I have

better I feel like.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
That was a button moment, but we can't do it today.
But that's all right, you know, well this this is
my point. Okay, what what's your point?

Speaker 3 (01:48):
We were trying to say, if you're the Pittsburgh Steelers
picking at the top of the second round, yep, if
you're either trading away that pick or you're going with
Joey porter Ge Joey.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Portered, I mean, how crazy is that? How cool of
a story is that?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I mean, that's what we That's what we said was.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yes, and you were saying, no, they should take a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
I can say they should. I said that was what
was being discussed.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, he said, don't be surprised.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, And and I put that out there because one,
Jay Glazer, I'm gonna just call it out like Jay
said it, so I was just repeating it. I'm not
going to own that.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Sure that they didn't.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
He didn't say cornerback because like there's so many times
someone says, oh he's a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
No, no, he said quarterback. He said, if Hendon Hooker
was still there, he was at round two, let alone
Will Levis, that they would think about taking him with
their pick. That's what he said.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Now you know what you did get right though? You
said Will Levis should leave the draft after slipping out
of the first round.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Yes, and he did. Good.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Come on, man, he should have stuck it out. Same suit,
same everything, same bo make it off with everybody else.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
He's a good looking kid. His family, his siblings are
good looking siblings.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Anyone else could looking around him.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
His girlfriend is good looking. Everything was just good looking.
The only thing that was a bad look was he
didn't get his name called. Was that was it? That
was it? Otherwise everything was on point. Even mom looked good.
Like everybody's just good. Just a good looking family. Now,
God blessed the will Levis and the Levis family and

(03:22):
the love his girlfriend. Now that's out.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
To y'all.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Now they're going to Nashville, and there's a lot of
good looking people.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
In Nashville too. Yeah, there's a lot of good people,
good looking people in Nashville. Everybody good looking around him.
It's just he was good looking.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Mind looking at him.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
I didn't mind looking at them being on the camera,
not getting drafted. And they kept showing them, and then
it was a new good looking sibling or a new
good looking person, and it just started. The numbers started
to rack up, entirely up, and I was like, how
many good looking sisters doesn't have?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
You couldn't stand up, you were I won't.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Say that it got that that you know, critical, or
that that I did not get that involved, but I
will say I mean, just at a glance, it was
like wow, Like every time they show Will, it's like
Will's a good looking dude, Like he is, like he's
a fine young man. And then they just kept showing
fine young ladies that we're sitting with him, and most

(04:21):
of them looked like him. That was the weird thing.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
So let's see if you guys can guess this, all right,
I want to see if you have.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
When there was one the only way I was able
to tell her A part was her hair was darker
than the rest of them. That was the only thing
that kind of separated him, is darker hair. But you know,
it is what it is.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
So I just typed yes, yes, definitely not a dud
at all ud. But I just typed in Will Levis
into Google. Okay, what would you guess is the first
thing that ding me? Meaning that is correct? So there's
there's a lot of horny people out there that just
want to know who was Will Levis sitting with apparently

(05:00):
at the NFL.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
And that's ridiculous. I mean, it's preposterous that it's ridiculous. Yes,
I think it's ridiculous. Yeah, that shouldn't be the first
thing you want to know. The first thing you should
want to know is how does Will feel still sitting
here waiting to get drafted.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
What's the second thing?

Speaker 4 (05:18):
How good looking the people were around them? And who
are they and how old are they? That'll work there?
You go, that will work there?

Speaker 2 (05:28):
You go?

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Not for me, you know, not for me. I just
think for anybody who's eligible and out there. I mean,
why not want success? You know, you are the company
that you keep and you know these people were sitting
at the NFL draft, which means that there's some success
success connected to them.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Absolutely, you do tend to not realize when you're in
that position, like or just even being in the spotlight,
like the ancillary things that come from that, Like I
remember just playing in the festival and my sister's half
jersey and how much.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Run that got. Like people to this day will.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Still come up and they'll be like, hey, I remember
seeing Aja's sister with that half cut jersey on you
guys still married, And.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I'm like, no, I was my sister. Yes they're married.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Like no one even got the story straight.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
The only thing they remembered about it is the half jersey,
And I was like, it's so.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
I mean, even the draft, like sitting on there.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
For a while, and I was I had my high
school sweetheart with there with me, and like that was
what people would would talk about our Google search or whatever.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
The tough part about it is in some ways, like
you're prepared for the spotlight and everything that comes with
it as an athlete, especially when you played at a
big university or you're you know, in the spotlight from
high school to college, college to the NFL. But the
people around you aren't, and obviously the internet can be
a crazy place. So I think that's the toughest part

(07:05):
is you know, it's not the tough part for Will.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Will.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Will's in a great scenario. Now he goes to the
Tennessee Titans. He doesn't have to rush to go play.
They've got Tannehill there, They've got a team that can
run the football. He doesn't have to do it all
of his arm. And by the way, it's close to
where he played college ball.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Right.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
That always plays a little bit of a factor too,
being in a familiar surroundings or somewhat.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
But it's like.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Everyone else are the ones that aren't prepared for that
and for that transition, for that moment, what comes along
with it.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Like that's the toughest part of all of it.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
But I'm just glad so many people enjoyed, you know,
watch the draft this week.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I talk to my kids about that too. I told
both my sons wi girlfriend. No, I mean, they have
very they.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Probably came to you. They're a daddy. What's happening here?

Speaker 4 (07:53):
I mean they have super attractive sisters. Daddy. So that's
her name. Yeah, Okay, she's a state or too. By
the way, is she look it up?

Speaker 2 (08:03):
What's for Nile status going on there?

Speaker 4 (08:05):
I don't know she was she might have been an athlete,
I don't know, but I'm pretty certain she's a Penn Stater.
But yeah, I was telling my sons. I was like, man,
could you imagine being good enough to go in the
first round where you're at the draft and we're sitting
at the draft, I said, from mom on all the
way down, I said, you got to figure for man,
that'll be six years so the baby will be fourteen

(08:27):
by then, so she'd be pretty pretty big, almost at
the age of the middle child right now. But they're
all really good looking, like six foot built, well nice features,
I said, got Lee, I said, the only ugly dude
there be me. But you know, Penn Stater we are, yeah,
I told you, man, Yeah we do it all right,

(08:48):
We do all right up in state college. Yes we are,
Yes we are.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Definitely are islands, bro, Yeah you know what I mean.
Get you some LeVar Islands two ten, you know, go
party at chance with my boy DJ Richter Richter Richter Richter,
Yeah you know, yeah we get it in Yeah, we
definitely get it. In and some really good looking people
in state college. Well, now the world knows that. You know,

(09:17):
we're not the best kept secret anymore. So all the
recruits out there. If you were wondering if you should
go to the middle of the state because it's not
it's not Pittsburgh or Philly, or you want to go
somewhere else where, it may be warmer. I mean, you know,
they're really good looking people's in central central Pennsylvania as well.
You know, definitely are there you go proof right here

(09:38):
that that is proof, a lot of proof. I mean,
that's that's that's that's proof. Shoot was there? That's interesting?
Will Levis, Uh no, not there. Let's say that I
don't know. It's well, at least it's not a competitor. No, no,
it's not a competitor. Definitely not a competitor. Yeah, it

(10:00):
was more of a comrade a constituent. Did you hear
Mike Rabel with the same outlining, They asked Mike Rabel curvature,
they asked, They asked Mike Rabel, They said, so what
does this mean?

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Yeah, about that, but okay, changed subjects, like what does
this mean for the quarterback room? And he said, Ryan
Tannell is going to be the starter, Malik Willis is
going to be the backup, and will Levis is going
to be the third quarterback on Monday. And that's how
we're going to do it every day. They're going to
basically take it day by day. It feels like there

(10:43):
could be an opportunity for will Levis if he shines
that he that he could get that job. Like it
feels like if will Levis performs well, we saw this happen.
Remember when the Eagles traded away Sam Bradford. They brought
in Carson Wentz and there was an injury I believe
in Minnesota, and they try away Sam Bradford. I just
wonder if it gets to the point where Tennessee looks

(11:04):
at this and says, we're kind of in a rebuilding spot.
It feels like we've done gone as far as we
can with Ryan Tannehill and in that division, which everybody
feels like Jacksonville is the runaway favorite right now based
on what they did last year. I just wonder if
we're going to see will Levis sooner rather than later
in comparison to where he may have gone somewhere else
in the draft. Towards the end of the first round,

(11:26):
seems like there's a lot worse situations and scenarios for
will Levis and going to Tennessee with Gia Duddy, assuming
she goes with I don't see.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
I think if tan Hill's there, unless they moved on
from him or something, he's the guy. You know, he
kind of went through this last year with Blake Willis
and Lake Willis got drafted. There's a bunch of hype
around him, even though I think a lot of people
who watch this tape knew that he was going to
need some time to develop, and you know, they put
him in play and clearly's not ready yet. And it's
probably one of the reasons why the Titans went with

(11:57):
will Levis when they took him there, because they feel
like he's probably got a better shot of being the
guy after Ryan Tannehill. But this to me is more
of a battle between will Levis and Malik Willis for
the backup spot and then Ryan Tannerhill is going to
be the starter. I just he he's got such a
better foundation of you know, knowledge, experience, you know, his

(12:18):
his timing, anticipation within the offense, all those things, and
you talk to people you know last year who going
into like training camp, preseason all that, they're like, you
just you can't. You can't replicate that if you don't
have that experience. In the NFL, it's hard to replicate,
especially for the coaching staff, the ease of being able
to have a guy that's you know, been there, done that,

(12:40):
you're not worrying about him walking in the huddle and
give him the right play call. You know, as much
as that sounds like oversimplified for people out there, when
you've got a rookie quarterback you're worried about that, you know,
you're give him the call in his helmet and he's
repeating it and it's not anything he's done before because
they don't. You don't do it at the college level,
And so a lot of times you're making sure he's
just getting people lined up, he knows where people are

(13:02):
supposed to be. It is an entirely new process for
a lot of guys walking into the league. So I'm
not saying will Eviscan handle that or he won't be
ready at some point, but to me, it's it's Tannehill
his job unless they move on.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
From him, which of Hendon Hooker in Detroit third round.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
I mean, he needs time anyway because of his knee.
So this is this is one of those where you're
gonna see Jared Goff for a year and then after
this year, you know, once Hennon Hooker has had the
chance to be in the system, then they'll have to
make a decision on where they feel like he's at
and hopefully he can make enough progress through practice and
rehab where you know, maybe he could be on the
active roster to back up, or he can get some

(13:41):
live game reps. But torn ACL nowadays, I mean they're
really I mean they're pretty patient with it. You know,
usually it's it's gonna be a ten or twelve months,
you know, the whole guy's coming back in six to
seven months. You know, that used to be a thought,
you know, Russia rushing guys back, but I think that's
also led to more you know, reinjury are issues with
it down down the road, so there's no reason to

(14:02):
rushing back.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
In my opinion, it's two pros and a cup of
Joe here. Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Jonah totally like derailed this whole entire segment by the way.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
I don't know if there's so much him as it
was who you brought with him because plus one if
you will, I'm just say, if it was will left,
is that that created it?

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Checking? What were we supposed to talk about? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Well we're gonna. I mean that the NBA is thrilled
that the Golden State Warriors eliminated the Kings because it
sets up a Golden State LA Lakers matchup.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
In the next round.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
That hot, Yeah, so that is bad to look.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Forward to Draft plus one hot Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
I agree. By the way, at the end of your
first year, Discover credit cards automatically double all the cash
back you've earned. That's right, everything you've earned doubled. Seriously,
terms and check it out for yourself at discovered dot com.
Forward slash match all right, to come up next here
on Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. There was
a punishment handed out in the NFL, and it resulted
in the swapping of picks. We'll get into that for

(15:10):
you right here on FSR.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. You
can hang out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. So,
coming up later on about twenty minutes from now, we're
gonna have another edition of You In or You Out.
We've already gotten a I believe a little bit of
a preview from Lee to lapis to what one of
the questions is going to be, So that'll be interesting

(15:48):
how we sit stepped that topic. But we will get
into that for you again a little over twenty minutes
from now. So Jonathan Gannon, who's the new head coach
of the Arizona Cardinals, he's together all the weird noises
when he meets with his players. So he just he
just didn't meet with the media during the draft, just decided, yeah,
I'm just not going to do this, like he didn't

(16:09):
he didn't want to be a part of.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Well, it's interesting. I mean it feels like Arizona would
want to make nice with the media at this point
with some of the other stories that are out there
with the Arizona Cardinals, but apparently he did not want
to meet with them, and there was a swapping of
picks between them and the Philadelphia Eagles. We talked about
the Eagles earlier because there was some tampering issues going on,
and so now the Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals

(16:35):
ended up swapping what third round picks and then what
was it a fifth round pick next year. I believe
was the total compensation. But it's it's a bold approach
for the Arizona Cardinals and Jonathan Gannon not wanting to
talk with the media during the NFL Draft. It's kind
of interesting how that, how the whole thing is playing
out there in Arizona.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Well, he just, you know, he's just making sure that
he sets a tone, you know, just making sure people
know that you know he's coming for them.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Is that we're going to be the worst team in
the league.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
And well, that's what you think. He's got another thing
coming for you.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
They're going to be picking number one overall next year.
They're going to be so bad. The Aarsona Gardibles are
going to be so bad. They're gonna be everybody second
bye week in that division. Geez, they're terrible.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
I mean, it's an NFL team.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
We just they're like what two years removed now from
being a playoff team. I know, but just let's just,
you know, let's see how things work out. I think
I had to do more with the fact that they
didn't want to try a light too, just all of it,
you know, the fact that I mean they were were
essentially tampering, right, And that's how this all came about.
That was what like flew under the raidar was a

(17:43):
Friday that that.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
This came out, Yeah it can. And so he didn't
speak with them. And this was because remember when we
were in Arizona, they still hadn't hired their head coach
because the Eagles were in the Super Bowl, so what
was going on. So when he was in town, they
were already having conversation about him taking the job. Like
I remember, Albert Breer was even saying that it feels

(18:04):
like it's down to a couple of guys and that
they're waiting on the Eagles to finish up their Super
Bowl obligations and then they're going to make a decision.
So I just I don't know when this whole tampering
stuff actually took place, but it ended up swapping picks.
But yeah, it just feels like this is going to go.
This is a prelude towards an awful season for the
Arizona Cardinals. Is where this feels like it's.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Going to go.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Just saying, Man, I don't know any team in the
NFL I can think of who who I'm less optimistic
of this upcoming season than the Cardinals.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
What doesn't sound like they're going to trade DeAndre Hopkins
at least that was, like, you know, kind of the
word coming out after the draft, But who knows, you know,
maybe they're just haven't got the offer they want. And
this is that time too. I think when you're an
NFL team and you go into the draft, you've got
some needs that you're trying to address. But the reality
is the draft is how you're gonna build your roster,

(18:55):
and a lot of times the meat right after the
first round you get to like between the buns, if
you will, as far as the substance of your roster,
because that's the and I'll just put it this way
as the cheap labor that's going to allow you, especially
if you're a really good team that's got a quarterback
under contract, under like a bigger quarterback contract that allows

(19:16):
you to build the rest of your roster and it kind.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Of build out around that quarterback.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
But you're not always expecting those guys to, you know,
come in right away and start and play. There's a
number of teams like I'm kind of I look through
their all their picks. I was just looking at the
Green Bay Packers. I don't know how many of those
guys are gonna be able to break it and start
right away. You know, for some of them it might
be the case, especially the two tight ends they drafted.
But outside of that, I mean it maybe the kicker

(19:41):
they took it, I think the sixth round. I mean,
a lot of those guys are gonna be adding depth
and eventually developing to become.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
The starting player that they're looking for.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
So that's that's going to kind of more of where
I think, you know, when you're looking at looking at
where we're at now in the NFL offseason, all those
veteran guys like a Frank Clark, for example, who is
a proven edge rusher in particular in the playoffs, or
DeAndre Hopkins who's under contract but there was some rumors
he might get traded. All that heats right back up

(20:11):
because there's a lot of teams that if they didn't
get a guy in the first round or two that
they had a high grade on they feel like can
be a impact starter right away. Now they're gonna go
right back to that veteran group and they're gonna add
those guys onto the roster. And it may even be
after they evaluate some of these young guys through OTA's
and mini camp, and so they might get a feel
in the summertime and they might say, hey, we draft

(20:33):
these guys, we thought they would be able to come
in right away, pick these things up and be ready
for us come training camp preseason, but we need to
bring in a veteran. That happens all the time, and
so that's kind of the part of the season we're at.
So I don't know, we'll see what happens with Arizona.
They might be more to rebuild mode at this point.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
But Zeke Elliot's another one of those guys still waiting around.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
There's a lot of names, like when Jordavion Clowny's out
there as a free ag. Yeah, there's a number of
names of free agents who are out there that will
get signed. And for some of those guys, they're like, yeah,
I'm not going through ots in mini camp.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
You know, I'll coming for training camp.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
But there's no point to risk my youself going out
there and playing and getting injured. At this point, like
I I'd rather them, you know, then be able to
make a decision, say, I know they need me now,
that's why they're bringing me in for training camp.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
What would you do? Would you just sign Zeke if
you're Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones is, by the way, still
saying that the ship hasn't sailed on bringing Zeke back.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
I mean, if you can get them at the price
tag that you want them for. I mean, I think
he serves a purpose. He could be a short yardage
down back. It's just a matter of what he wants
to do. I think he's more valuable there than probably
he'd be anywhere else. But if he did go somewhere
else for the right price tag, you're getting to me

(21:49):
a situational down back. And that situational down back and
Ezekiel Elliott is I think where he is in his
career now, he's still effective in getting some good, good
heart yardage short yardage situations, and he's good in pass pro.
He does a great job, a very solid job of

(22:09):
how he handles things and uh past past protection. So
I mean you would get a you would get value
and and having them on your team.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Just sign with Philly and get it over with, Like
if that's where this is gonna go. If he's gonna
sign with Philly, it wouldn't be the first time they
took h for a swift, I know. But Philly is
signing everybody, so I mean, I mean they.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Brought into Mark and everyone, they brought into Marco Murray
when they still had a pretty good who who was
the was it Corey Buckholder?

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Who was there with a swift?

Speaker 1 (22:40):
They've got gain? Well, they they kept Boston Scott. Then
they signed with Sean Penny too. I mean, that's that's
a lot. They're not all Gray Sermon and Kennedy Brooks
and the roster. It's a lot of running backs. I
don't I don't see that.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
I mean, but just while you add it, just go
ahead and sign him. Well he didn't go to george
Just what Philly is the problem?

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Well, had he gone to Georgia, that would have been
another and another guy. They would add it onto the list.
But yeah, so we're going to see.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
You on herschel You know he's still in shape, Herschel Walker.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
He didn't win the.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Election, so you know you got a little time on this.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Eh.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Yeah, maybe maybe he does.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Were a wolf s or vampires?

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Yeah, that's true. By the way, we are brought to
you by DraftKings DraftKings Sports Book as an official sports

another edition of You In or You Out coming up
here shortly. But for all the latest from around the

(23:35):
world of sports. Eddie Garcia is in.

Speaker 7 (23:37):
All right, thanks Jonas. We'll start with NBA Playoff. Actually,
we had a Game seven and a Game one. The
Warriors go to Sacramento beat the Kings one twenty to
one hundred. Golden State led by Steph Curry's career playoff
I had fifty points, most points ever scored in a
Game seven NBA playoff history. Cavan Looney pulled down twenty
one rebounds to help out. Golden Sate takes the series
four games and three. They'll face the Lakers in round

(23:57):
number two of the Western Conference playoffs. The Heat beat
the Knicks in New York one o eight, one on
one in their second round opener. Jimmy Butler twenty five
points to lead Miami, although he hits up for an
ankle injury in the fourth quarter of status for Game
two unknown. Miami finished the regular season just three games
over five hundred. They were the eight seed that needed
to win in the play in to make it in
the playoffs. They're now five to one so far this
postseason NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs a pair of games sevens

(24:20):
Panthers beat the Bruins in Boston four to three in
overtime on a Carter Verhege goal in sudden death. Florida
takes that series four games to three. They'll face Toronto
in the second round. For Boston, they had an NHL
regular season record for wins and points this season. They
for forty three points better than Florida. They blew a
three one serious lead and they were up with one
minute to play in regulation in this one, but then

(24:41):
Florida tied it and then won it in overtime. Crack
and beat the Avalanche in Denver two to one. Oliver
b york Strand scored both Seattle goals. Goaltender Philip Krubauer
thirty three staves in net I to beat his old team.
Seattle takes the series four games to three. They'll face
Dallas in round number two. For Colorido, the defending Stanley
Cup champs are out in round one. They've now lost
six straight game. Sevens baseball games of note, we had
the Rangers roll over the Yankees fifteen to two. Josh Young,

(25:04):
a grand slam homer drove in five for Texas, the
AL West leaders. The top team in the AL Central
is the Twins. They beat the Royals eight to four
behind Sunny Gray, who had proved a four and oh
with the win on the mound. Orioles won their six
straight series, beating the Tigers five to three. Was the
Dodgers wrapping up a three game series sweep with the
Cardinals with a six to three win. Marlin sweeped the
Cubs with a four to three victory, and the Padres
down the Giants six to two. That was the second

(25:25):
game of a two game set played in Mexico City,
both won by San Diego. Now back to Brady Quinnavar
Arrington and Jonas Knox in the Tirack dot Com Fox
Sports Radio studio.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
She said, you really rubbing it into the Boston Bruins.
I mean, it's already been a big morning, and I
just feel like you keep hammering in the poah.

Speaker 7 (25:42):
Well, you know, kind of as a historic loss. So
you know, you got to report the news.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
I know, but I mean just like you feel like
you're just like, over and over again, you're just pounding
on them. It's like they've had enough. I mean, stop
the fight already.

Speaker 7 (25:54):
They stopped the fight.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Oh there he's knocked out there over.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
You don't know this, but I actually paid Eddie Off
a little bit for this, Oh just because I've got
in laws who are big Boston Bruins fans.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
I feel like they've taken enough punishment on this show.
So now it's time for the progressive play of the day.

Speaker 8 (26:12):
Along the nearboards, Bennet finds it to the circle for
Hagey's on Top, Toby Scores, Carniverer, Hagen Top Show and
the Panthers winning it over time. The Panthers stunned the
Bruins in Boston, and the Panthers are moving on of
the round too.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Carniver Hagey.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
The Panthers have wint it over.

Speaker 8 (26:27):
Time, bore three the final, the Panthers take Game seven,
and they're moving.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
On Panthers Radio Network on the call. Did he take
a breath did that game?

Speaker 2 (26:38):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
If anyone was watching, though, did you see when they
scored with the empty net under a minute or about
a minute left in the third period, that entire place went.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Silent like you would have thought they lost like that.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
It was like it was like there was one big
punch that hit everyone in the in the gut. It
just knocked the wind out of them. You know, you
could literally hear the air deflate from that place.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
You know what I was thinking, if Boston wins that game,
if the Bruins win that game last night, I think
they would have won the Stanley Cup because I think
that would have been the big hurdle. They got passed
the hiccups early on and now they were gonna move on.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
I'll tell you how another you know NHL player like feels.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
I mean, obviously you know.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Talking to other guys that that are playing, you know,
they that's how they felt like, if Boston was knocked out,
the Stanley Cup was up for grabs, but if Boston
made it through, they'd for sure be the favorite moving forward,
kind of building that momentum through the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
So what a disaster?

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Man?

Speaker 1 (27:32):
What a disaster are we saying that it is? I mean,
is it the Bruins that lost it? Or are you
going to give any credit to the Panthers for winning it?

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Well, I mean, yeah, I'll give some credit to the Panthers.
I mean, I know they're your Florida Panthers.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
There.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
You're the pride of just.

Speaker 5 (27:47):
Asking because it seems like we always have to pick sides.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Whenever there's you know, a three to one.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Lead and a team gives it up, it's like, oh,
you know what a you know, you know it was
the Bruins blowing it. It's like, I don't know, maybe
the maybe, the maybe the Kiatts just found a way
to win.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Kiet what do they call it? What was the Winnipeg
Blue shirts blue sweaters?

Speaker 1 (28:08):
No, that was for the Columbus Blue Jackets. They're called
the Manitoba Sweat.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Cooats sweat coats very good. It is two pros and
a cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you. And by the way,
that was the Progressive play to day. Progressive makes things
even easier. They will help you on to your home

Progressive And that call was courtesy of the Panthers Radio Network.

(28:35):
So so that was a fun game to watch. We
had three game sevens and all the road teams won.
How about that? It just going on the road. And
you know, for everybody that was mocking the Golden State
Warriors and they're eleven and thirty road record this season,
they won two games on the road. But it felt
like that series took a turn when dearon Fox's finger

(28:57):
broke once that started to go in that direction, it
felt like, you know, Sacramento was kind of.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Up against it.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
Now we're going to get Golden State, We're going to
get the Lakers in round two. Laker fans really excited
about it. Dylan Brooks, by the way, was fined for
not speaking with the media.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Again, Well good for him. I mean, we're getting fined.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Why should you be fine for not speaking to the media.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Well, you should be fine because you spoke to the
media when it was still speaking to it should be
spoken to the media. And then you chose not to
speak to the media when it wasn't good time to
be speaking to the media. So take that fine saying.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
Yeah, but when he did speak with the media, he
gave him so much that that should make up for
the fact that he didn't give him anything the other
times around. You know, I feel like he went away
above and beyond. He called out Lebron James.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
It wasn't a good look. It was a bad look.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
You can't talk that talk and then when things don't
work out, not face the music.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
That's the reality of it.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Can ask this question, though, do you feel like with
all these home teams losing as a fan base to
fans take more of like, oh man, like we were
a part of it, Like we're supposed to be that
that extra player, right, that extra advantage of home ice
or home court advantage, right to do it, and.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
They should be held accountable, That's what I'm saying on them.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Like it's I mean, I'm just saying, you get all
these road teams winning.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
I mean, so those fan base is like they're probably
walking in thinking, like feeling like the players, like, man,
we thought we had it.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
I thought we had it.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Yeah, that was on us.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
I mean maybe it was just one too many beers
where you got a little quiet. You know there at
certain periods of time, weren't creating enough noise and disruption.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Yeah, I'm with you. I'm tired of the players getting
all the blame and the coaches they should be held accountable,
right Like the Patriots that was neutral site, that was
a Super Bowl, So them losing to the Giants, whatever
it happened, its little different. Yeah, everybody in Boston in
Colorado except for Jack Johnson because he was playing injured,
so he gets you know, he gets a passed out.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
We're just talking.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
About the fans here that we're not even talking about
the players.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
Players, we obviously know they're gonna be upset and they
realize their impact on it. I'm just saying, does the
home crowd realize their impact when they when you have
a monumental.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
Loss like this.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
I think every home crowd yesterday in those game seven's
players and fans should all be held accountable except for
Jack Johnson. That's the way I feel about it again, Okay,
that's how I feel about it. I think he's exonerated
from from Rinie gilt when it comes to all this.
That's my guy, Ja any of this. Aim and I
golf together, Jack Johnson, Big Golf. I would like to

(31:33):
meet Jack though, but no, I don't want this.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Well, any guy that's going to have some marinarisace on
on the autograph and and put d bag on there,
and I want to meet him.

Speaker 5 (31:48):
Well, he might have been coaching to some of that,
if I'm not mistaken too.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
When when Dad a little bit right there, when he
when he came to when you came to the golf
out and you golf with him, I'm pretty sure they
were moving that day.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
And you said your sister was pissed at him.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Oh, she was so bad because he got hammered.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
He was so hammered and he went back and obviously
like couldn't really too much.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Yeah, so my sister was mad at him. She was
mad at me, but she wouldn't admit it.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
I remember you said, You're like, yeah, my sister's pissed.

Speaker 9 (32:18):
I was like, why is it?

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Yeah, Jack was only supposed to be here for a
beer and it was.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Like four hours later.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Yeah, it was like getting dark out and he was
just now leaving.

Speaker 6 (32:28):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Yeah, it was fun though, the old Blue Jacket. It

Speaker 12 (35:08):
It's May one, which also marks National Black Barbershop Appreciation Day.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Oh my gosh, Brady and I got this.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Oh my, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
I'm sorry, old. Let let's go over this again. What
is today?

Speaker 12 (35:21):
It is National Black Barbershop Appreciation.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
What the question is?

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Are you in or are you out of? Are you
wouldn't get it? Man, Brady and I got this. Sorry,
I'm gonna set this one out.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
I'm gonna set this one out.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Why is it specific to barbers.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
And black barbers?

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Like, I don't get it.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I don't get it, but I want to hear how
y'all respond to this.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
Are y'all in or are out?

Speaker 2 (35:48):
Okay? So whiz or is it not?

Speaker 1 (35:50):
I was gonna address the first thing, the fact that
it's May Day. So I remember when I was out
of the Seattle Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
This is a decade ago.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
But they like people would trash downtown Seattle, and I'm like,
what's going on?

Speaker 2 (36:04):
They're like, yeah, it's like May Day.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
It's like an anarchy day or something, and they would
like be smashing windows all this stuff in downtown Seattle
all because it was May first.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
I'm like, is this I don't remember this going on
anywhere else?

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Why?

Speaker 5 (36:17):
I don't know, saying like look it up. It was
the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
And I remember like seeing like the Nordstrom store, which
I believe their flagship store is in Seattle. That's where
it is all started up.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
And I'm like, why would you I'm out on May Day? Yeah,
I'm I'm in on the Brothers barbers though.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Yeah, I mean that's great.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
I'm in on.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
I don't need my haircut though, So if I like,
don't go today, am I not supporting?

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Yeah? No kidding, I mean that's what I don't. I
don't get it.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
By the way, Rob Parker owns a barber shop in Detroit.
He does, so, Yeah, I'm in lee, my guy, Rob Parker,
the Rob Parker. Absolutely, it's also a phone in sick day.
We know we're birdos in on that scene as.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
These actual national days they actually are, but they may
face this up.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
It's what national date is today.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Well, it's a number of people. I could give you
this that a holiday.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Who makes these lists up?

Speaker 3 (37:15):
It will varies, Uh.

Speaker 12 (37:17):
I think that I was reading up on the National
Black Barbershop Day and it's been around since.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
So hard for you it's been around.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
That's a home games from here.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
It's been around since the forties.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
I think, where they.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
Why are we just hearing about this?

Speaker 4 (37:47):
And they wanted to put this out there for so long.

Speaker 12 (37:51):
I wasn't gonna do it, but we jumped on it
and it was it anyway, Moving on because it is
May Day. It's also dustin May Bubblehead Day at Dodger Stadium.
Do you guys show up early for bubbleheads?

Speaker 2 (38:03):
In er out? Oh?

Speaker 1 (38:04):
I don't get although I went to a Marlins game
yesterday and they gave us these like.

Speaker 5 (38:08):
Bucket hats, these tied I bucket hats.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
Those are cool.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
Yeah, my kids love them.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
They're actually reversible, although at one point they were like
filling their hat full of peanuts, So I mean I
ended up holding all the hats at the end, just
trying not to lose them. Because that's the thing is
my kids, in particular my three girls, they will go
berserk on me if I lost one of those hats,
even though they'll probably never gonna wear them again. M

(38:33):
It's like that odd thing with kids when they just
they hold something so near and dear to their heart,
yet they don't really use.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
It or play with it that much.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
I don't get the bobblehead thing, like I remember starting
lineups when we were kids. Starting lineups are cool, but
I don't get bobbleheads, and those are people will buy
those and then resell them on eBay for ridiculous prices.
They'll just mark them up and resell them. They even
do some of those bobbleheads based on some videos.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
You just got.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
Let me try cleaning the hedges.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
I'm in on that limbo.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Are you that bibblehead had anything to do with that
limbo sting?

Speaker 2 (39:15):
I'm in on that.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
It's a weird spot for an armpit, unsaved arm pit?

Speaker 9 (39:23):
By the way, is that back? Is that past? Is
that back?

Speaker 2 (39:30):
I know it used to be a thing. Is that
coming back around too? I don't know. I mean, can
I not ask the question?

Speaker 9 (39:41):
Good?

Speaker 2 (39:43):
I figure? I think maybe Willow Smith? I mean form
was that never a thing looked like text messages?

Speaker 11 (39:49):
Man?

Speaker 4 (39:51):
No, it was a thing they call what the tree
hugging situation was was that was the you know, I'm
just saying, so is it back again?

Speaker 3 (39:59):
I don't know, but on donkeys shoulders, Oh, Jonas went
to the armpit, but it was.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
His last comment, donkeys, where'd you get that? You didn't
make that up? Did make that up? Did you see
the video?
