Speaker 1 (00:01):
Is the best of two pros and a couple Joe
with Lamar Arrington, Rady Win and Jonas Knox on Box
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
The Green Bay Packers made a move yesterday that a
lot of people are trying to figure out when it
comes to their quarterback Jordan Love. So he agrees to
a one year extension with the Packers. It's worth up
to twenty two and a half million dollars and in
an essence, replaces the fifth year option next season. So
they're almost getting ahead of this as opposed to having

(00:36):
to make a decision afterwards or declining they pick.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
They did make the decision, but this is the decision
they made.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
But this isn't the fifth year option.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
It's not, but this is what it does for the
Green Bay Packers. So they get Jordan Love for an
additional year for thirteen point five million. The fifth year
option would have been twenty million for Jordan Love, so
they saved themselves about six and a half million. And
the different is he's got incentives within that that allow
him to potentially make up the twenty two almost twenty
three million. So you know, if you're looking at it

(01:08):
from the Packers standpoint, it's a huge win because you
get a player that you liked well enough to trade
up four in the first round the draft, and you
get him now for two more years, not only this year,
which is the last year of his rookie deal, but
also thirteen point five million with you know, a little
bit of upside if he plays and becomes the player
you hope he's going to be.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Where this doesn't make any sense is for Jordan Love.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
I mean, the whole point of everything players have sacrificed
throughout the years for free agency, and another things that
they've worked for with in the Collective Barritent Agreement is
so that you could get as close to free agency
as possible, so you could see what your worth is,
what your market worth is, and not even necessarily as

(01:54):
a player figuring that out, but just threatening the team
that you're with that you might become a agent and
they might have to go back to the drawing board
at your position, and that's enough to force them to
give you a deal better than they would.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
So the interesting thing to me and all this is
what did Daniel Jones end.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Up get making like one hundred and forty million, one
hundred whatever the contract end up being total value, which
is kind of irrelevant, but he is gonna get paid
about forty million a year, all right. He was in
a kind of a similar situation where they didn't pick
up his fifth year option.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Played out the fourth year played well.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Although fifteen touchdowns, the five interceptions and thirty two hundred yards,
you know, isn't gonna be wowing people a lot in
regards to the passing game, right, but he improved his
touchdown interception ratio. The team obviously played really well, especially
why he was he was starting, So you know he's
able to capitalize that into a big contract. Are you

(02:54):
telling me Jordan Love can't throw more than fifteen touchdown
passes this upcoming season, because I think he can. I
think with the talent that they have there, their track
record that Laflores.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Had, I think he's capable of that.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
And so if you're saying, yeah, he could probably do that,
then I'm saying he's leaving himself out of the running
for a huge contract because instead he's then going to
be locked into another year at thirteen point five million,
maybe twenty two.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
So this made no sense to me.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
From Jordan Love's standpoint, unless he just really doesn't have
the confidence in himself to want to take that sort
of risk.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
In one year's time, say yeah, I'll be fine.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
I'll be good enough to be able to showcase what
I'm capable of and potentially press free agency.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
So it makes.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Complete sense from green Bay standpoint. He doesn't make any
sense from Jordan Love standpoint.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Has this ever been done before?

Speaker 3 (03:48):
No, but it will probably become more common.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
I mean, there's a list of guys who haven't had
their fifth year option picked up, and I'm sure you'll
see teams potentially offer them this.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Sort of deal.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Say hey, look, we like you, we just don't know
enough about or you know, like Chase Young is a
player that I'm a bit surprised. Yeah, they didn't pick
him up, and I don't get it, like I would
have picked it up because he's he's dealt with a
bad injury. You give him a little extra time to
see what he can grow into or become. And even
though that's that number is kind of expensive. I mean,

(04:18):
do you spent the pick on him? And he is
a heck of a player when he's healthy. So I
don't know it, just I think you'll see this more
often than not. Because teams are looking for a way
to keep players but not pay a premium, and obviously
outside of the fifth year option, they feel like the
next step would be a franchise tag, which no one
ultimately wants to.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Have to use that if you're from a team standpoint,
because the cap hit.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
Yeah, I just think it's it's it's really based off
the kind of what you just said, the uncertainties. Now
why the player would do it. I have no idea
why the franchise would do it. You one hundred percent
understand that as you kind of laid out, and I
mean with Chase, that's to me that they're they're not
sold on his bill of health. And if you recall

(05:04):
he missed basically all last year, Yeah, you know due
to an injury that I think took place like long ago,
the year before, and.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
You know, what will he be? You know what is
he to you know, to become?

Speaker 6 (05:19):
I feel like the inside information is the reason why
these decisions to to offer this where it comes from,
it's it's more intimate, more intimate knowledge. So it's like,
all right, they might have came to Jordan Love like, look, man,
here's why we're going to do it.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
We don't know what you're going to be.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
We don't know how this is all going to play out,
but we want to show you that we do have
some confidence in you. And so I think it does
serve a purpose to the player. Where it does. You
can look at it and say it does show a
it does show a level of commitment from the organization.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
It's just it's just not a significant.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
One the chase.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I was just going to say, it's the torn acl
and he also had a ruptured pateel attendant. And Ron
Rivera made some comments not long ago talking about his
commitment and talking about his health. And one of the
problems I guess they had is that he decided he
wanted to try and rehab somewhere other than in Washington.

(06:25):
And Ron Rivera and then maybe weren't too fond of
that approach, and that's that's maybe what led them to
not picking up his faith year option.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
I mean, he didn't play for an extended extended amount
of time, Like I don't know how far past the
amount of time that it was. I don't I don't
want to speak out a term, but he didn't play
for a long time, Manya, And I think he tried
to come back at the end of last season. I

(06:54):
don't know if if it was successful or not. I'm like,
I'm kind of blanking all my recollection of it, but
it just I don't know. It just it doesn't sound right.
It doesn't the Chase Young situation doesn't. It doesn't feel
right right now for one reason or another. And it
just gives me, it gives me the thought that it

(07:16):
just he's he's not right.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
It's not it's not right.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
But I don't know. We'll see how it plays out.
But it's almost like we're going to take a chance
on you. We want to take a risk on you.
But as Q said, it's going to be a measured
and it's going to be a limited approach to that
commitment because we just need to know. I just need
to know if I'm gonna give you all this money.
I just need to know.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
I guess just that from a playing standpoint, if you've
waited this long for your turn, and you're Jordan Love
and you're his agent, you're like, dude, let's go give me,
give me this year, give me this year to go
a ball out, and we'll press into free agency. And
now there's a number of factors that could play a
role in this.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
They could be.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Looking at next year's draft classes, saying, oh, I don't
want anything to do with that, because because right now
I can tell you there are teams who are clamoring
for you know, Caleb Williams at number one, Drake Mayo
be number two. There's your top two, and then it's
let's he's next after that, Quinn Yewers out of Texas.
If he has a good year, he could be that
rising star we saw like Anthony Richardson this year. Spencer

(08:20):
Rather was a talented quarterback, a five star kid when
he first got to Oklahoma. He's found his way down
to South Carolina. He's got some ability, and then we'll
see if anyone, you know, ends up putting him in
that category. And then of course there'll be others. There'll
be others who will be a part of that conversation.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Michael Pennix, Michael Penis.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Could be I don't you know.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
We'll see, we'll see how teams view him.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
But there's some injury concerns he's had.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
I think maybe both acls and maybe one for sure
has been he's torn twice. But you know, he there's
just there's a lot of competition for it. And so
very similar to this year of the draft, and you
watch Will Levis fall and everyone's trying to figure out, well,
why there's only three teams that really were looking for
a quarterback. After that, it was like, oh, well maybe
there will be some teams, but they're gonna have to

(09:08):
find the right value to trade up and take you
in the first round. And whether it was the La
Rams or some of the others, they just they didn't
and so he ends up falling to Tennessee in the
second round. But maybe his agent and him are saying like, look,
you know that that's your competition there. We're looking at
or projecting who else could be free agents. This is
Kirk Cousins last year in Minnesota, it's Ryan Tannehills last
year in Tennessee. You start kind of going through the

(09:31):
list of quarterbacks who might be in there last year,
and you go, okay, well those guys might have you know,
there might not be space for me, you know, to
be one of the top free agents next year if
that is the case.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
So there's a lot of factors into these decisions.

Speaker 5 (09:46):
But I mean, as a former player, I'd be sitting
there saying, no, I can go surpass what Daniel Jones did,
And then what's Green Bay gonna do.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Are they gonna go out and get one of those
other guys.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
They're not gonna be, by the way, if he plays
well enough, they're not gonna be a position to take
one of those top guys. So it's just I feel
like they left potentially a lot of money on the
table for Jordan Love.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Well, there's a story in the NFL that's back kind
of Deshaun Watson. Oh yeah, Deshaun Watson, who's got himself
a little.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
Bit of a fetish that's done. Yeah, it's interesting.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
There was these two cases, these two pending, you know,
the cases from a couple of women who still have
not been settled with They want to go to civil
trial and they want to have their voices be heard.
And you know, it should be pointed out that before
we get into the statement from Tony Busby, which is
something to look at. Yeah, Tony Busby's back. It should

(10:57):
be pointed out that regardless of what happens in this
case that popped up yesterday, according to Tony Busby, Watson's
not going to face further sanctions by the NFL because
he's been punished for the accusations that came in the
same timeframe in twenty twenty in twenty twenty one when
he played for the Houston Texans, so that according to.

Speaker 6 (11:17):
It's a civil these are civils, yes, So you know,
I would assume that if they were criminal, these are
criminal trials, then you know, the NFL has to approach
it differently.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
If the guy comes back guilty.

Speaker 6 (11:30):
But civil suits, I mean, that's that's you know, you'd
have to assume if they had the numbers.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
That's a great question though, or a very point only
because I don't know that that's necessarily true. Jonas just
kind of touched on it. I think the NFL has
said they're not going to punish him again for anything
that came up during that period of time.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, right, and there are these.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
Two no this that period right, this is from that period.
This is just there's two individuals who decided not to
settle their case, right, and they feel like they've got
a better shot of receiving some sort of more compensation.
Well compensation, but even I mean, ultimately you're just trying
to do.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
It's not always about money.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
It's about trying to in this case for two because
Jonas can get into the details. But Lauren Baxley is
the woman's name, and she she wants him to admit guilt,
you know at this point, like that's that if there
was a settlement that would want to be. One of
the conditions is he has to put out an omission
of guilt, which I don't think he ever has, right.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
No, yeah, he's always maintained his don right. We never
heard him come out and say, yeah, I'm sorry, you
know that I did this. I mean, I think he's apologized,
but I don't think he's ever apologized in an admission
of I did it, like right as people said.

Speaker 5 (12:47):
And she's looking if she was going to settle, and
this could just be attacked by Tony Busby to try
to get them to essentially settle for whatever monetary amount,
but also you know, admit her that he did he
did something wrong. You know, apolishing admission of wrongdoings and
also you know, to make sure there's a promise of rehabilitation.

(13:08):
Which is interesting that you know, Buzzby and her would
say this, and her as in Lauren Backxy only because
you know, I was under the assumption that he had
to go through rehab during his you know, time being
suspended by the NFL.

Speaker 6 (13:22):
That is what the NFL said. Part of stipulation was
he had to do something like that.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
And it was almost like that was the NFL's way
of justifying, well, yeah, it's eleven games, but he is
going to have to see, you know, do rehab and
go see it as specialist and a therapist and all
that stuff. And the fact that this is even being
brought up makes me wonder whether or not that stuff
is happening.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
I would assume that it would be.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
I can't imagine that he would want to mess around
with any of that stuff. But Tony Buzby said the following.
When it comes to this civil case that is still
pending there amongst those many cases, I believe twenty three
or twenty four. You lose track at a after about
five or ten, so we're up to about twenty four.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
Will be cheerful, don't be too harsh. You know who
represents Deshaun Watson.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
Who's that again?

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Oh gosh, yeah, he.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Might send them. He might soon the galls out for you.
He might my lawyer. I certain my rights under the
Fifth Amendment. You say his agent, He said, his lawyer,
Thank you. Well, you don't hire David look at it
for legal work and may come home. I thought he
could do it all. Not there enough.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
So this is from Tony Busby. Quote.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Today we filed emotion to put Lorne Baxley's case on
the trial docket in the Houston court where it was
originally filed, Busby said in a statement provided to Cleveland
dot com. And it was Mary kay Cabin who reported
on this and did a great job. So quote all
other victims and did Deshaun Watson litigation that this firm
represented have settled their claims. Missus Baxley, to her credit,

(14:51):
has refused and wants a public trial. I intend to
help her give her that she's entitled to have a
trial on her claims. I will proudly present her case.
Miss Baxley has a strong case, and I encourage the
internet trolls to take note as we proceed, So Tony
Busby's not letting up a foot on the gas full throttle,
and Tony Busby is going after Deshaun.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Watson here again.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
So right when you thought if you're the Cleveland Browns,
all right, at least we got the tough stuff out
of the way, Let's just focus on this season where jobs.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
Could be on the line, most notably.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
For Kevin Stefanski. Here we go during the off season
for the Cleveland Browns that have to deal with more
of a more drama.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Surrounding Deshaun Watson. And it's two yet thirty.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Min and this thing goes one to two ways.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Either gets dismissed or there could be a settlement where
it doesn't go to trial, which I believe a jury
decides on this wants to hear the evidence of whether
or not it should. But the other key point to
this is it's in a court in Houston, So you know,
I would assume that if this does go to trial,
it will impact Deshaun Watson in the sense that he'll

(15:57):
have to continue to travel back and forth to Houston.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
If it doesn't get dismissed.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Two hundred and thirty million guaranteed, and he's going to
see every cent and.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
This he had going on, He's not going to see
every cent. You know, well you know what I mean,
He's had he's had to pay out settlements.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Yeah, I mean there's some settlements and.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
There's going to be I know, it isn't always about money,
but it is always about money.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
But I think about.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
Too though, Like as much as you point the finger
to Shawn Watson, Jimmy Haslm signed him to that.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Yeah, yeah, like what does that say about Jimmy Haslm.

Speaker 6 (16:32):
Yeah, it says that Jimmy has you know, I saw
and and uh, you know, shouts out to to Fox
Fox's uh shenon Sharp. He did an interview with uh
with Steve Harvey not too long ago, recently, and Steve
Harvey is like, I'm a Deshaun Watson fan and basically

(16:52):
went on further to say his advice to Deshaun was,
you know, just don't turn over when you're getting your massage,
Like just stay fake down, you know. And my whole
thing is right, Yeah, I mean, and he is a comedian,
so you know, I think you know the root of it.
I mean, maybe he is just being funny. But to me,
there are a lot of people out here that I

(17:13):
don't think he did anything wrong, and maybe someone like
Jimmy haswin clearly. I mean, with the type of investment
that they put into him, they don't feel like he did.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
They believe this story. They believe he didn't do anything wrong.

Speaker 6 (17:27):
And I just find it interesting because there is the
truth is there somewhere what it is, you know, and
it could be truth by interpretation too, you know, I don't.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (17:40):
It's like that's one of those complicated, you know, conversations
to have the closer you are to this situation. But
I mean there's a contingency that doesn't think that Deshaun
Watson is wrong.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
If there's nothing wrong.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Happening, if the truth is somewhere in the middle, then
the middle is well, maybe not all to twenty four
weren't willing participants of what happened, But maybe it's like
ten or eleven, which is still ridiculous to think about
long term.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
To use, I would go back to the initial when
there is thirty that came out as accusers and then
thirty that came out in defense, You're you're still going.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Okay, this dude's got a problem, right, you're sick in
the head.

Speaker 6 (18:19):
If you have many different sauce therapists, the number itself.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
You've played for one team, and even if you travel
a lot, okay, but like there's something off there that's
it's predatory in nature. And I think anyone who looks
at the you know, from the prism or or from
the perspective that has daughters, imagine if that was your daughter,
she's she's a massage therapist. She goes in assuming that

(18:44):
you know, this is going to be a professional, you
know deal where she's going to do what which she's
been trained to do, and instead it turns into something
sexual or a decent exposure, exposure or something else. I mean,
imagine how you then feel as a father, Imagine how
you then feel as a mother or sister, et cetera.
If you're getting that story coming back to you, I mean,

(19:06):
you be beside yourself. And so again, I would be
besides Deshaun Watson, if it was my daughters, I'd be
right beside him, and we probably be in the more
work or in lock up, because that's that's how it's
going to go down, and that's what I'm saying, is
I lived an amazing life, Like I've lived enough life

(19:27):
for for three four people. So let somebody come. Let
let let one of my daughters come home and tell
me that somebody did something like that, And y'all have
my admission.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Right here, because I would, I would plead guilty.

Speaker 6 (19:39):
I would, I would tell the courts, I'd tell everyone
I am guilty of the law that I broke.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Yes, do you want too? I took it into my own.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
Do you want us to represent you so we can
at least get somebody?

Speaker 3 (19:50):
No, I don't. I don't.

Speaker 6 (19:51):
I don't you know, because I'm not even joking right now,
like on on everything I love. Let one of my
daughters come home and tell me somebody did something like
that to them, and that's.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
So we mountain up. The point is like, that's that's
what I look at it through. Is you know, I
do think there's some truth in some of these and
like Jonah said, and maybe it's not all of them.
I mean, you'd like to believe all of them, but
you know, you know that there's certain people who have
different intentions and that that's a possibility too. But there's
too much smoke for there not to be fire. Yeah,

(20:24):
I mean, come on, that's the general issue with all this.
It seems predatory. It seems like something crazy was going on,
and so I continue to go back to but then
you have an ownership group that and by the way,
like when people say, well Jimmy has on, those guys,
you know must have been okay with it. They didn't
do that much digging around because they didn't get involved

(20:44):
in the process of even looking ato Sean Watson until
very late into that offseason. I mean that he was
going to Atlanta, it was a done deal, and then
they turn around and give him a deal that he
can't refuse. That quarterbacks are still trying to get in
this league that no one else will give.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
While all this stuff is out, Yeah, why all of
it's still going on.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
They got into a bidding war over a guy who's
got close to thirty pending lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct,
and they grossly overpaid what Atlanta was offering. And it
was so much so to where Deshaun Watson already had
a Falcons jersey and he didn't even think about it,
but it was sitting on like a foosball table when

(21:25):
he posted a picture of his Browns jersey. So the
Browns willingly outbid Atlanta because they had to have Deshaun Watson.
How bad must things have been with Baker Mayfield or
how desperate must they have been that Jimmy has them said,
forget all that stuff, We'll give him two hundred and
thirty million dollars guaranteed.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
How can you say no, it's crazy?

Speaker 5 (21:42):
But this though, like, how does that make you view
him as an owner for being able to.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Contribute to that agreed? Like I don't what's his?

Speaker 5 (21:51):
And that's why I feel like every every chest, Yeah,
every owner looks at him though and goes, not only
did you put us in a tough situation? And whether
Steve Bushatti with Baltimore and Lamar Jackson or whoever else put.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
What a questionable dude?

Speaker 5 (22:05):
Well, not only does it does it frustrate them from
a business standpoint, but I think there's also a lot
of other owners that are like, are you serious? Like
this is the guy you want to give that deal to?
Like this is this is the guy? Like this like
it really put every single owner then, not only as
a player that has done more on the field, like

(22:25):
a Lamar Jackson or whoever else you want to throw
that conversation, that's next up Joe Burrow already, et cetera.
But every single other quarterback that has done that on
the field already and has also been better off the
field doesn't have thirty pending lawsuits. I mean, the whole
thing is, it's absolutely really it still blows my mind
to this day and we're talking about something that's already

(22:46):
over a year old. Like that decision has already been made.
It's still hard to understand how Jimmy HASLM would make
that decision.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Let me ask you a question, because I know you
still are close with people in Cleveland obviously and in Ohio.
But in the city of Cleveland, when people that are
connected to the Browns or cover the Browns, how is
this landed with them?

Speaker 3 (23:05):
I mean, honestly, it's mixed.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
I mean you get some people who are like, I
don't know enough about it, and I just want the
Browns to win.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
I mean, that's the thing, Like this was born out
of desperation. They went a.

Speaker 5 (23:17):
Quarterback, apparently Baker, they draft number one overall, who wins
them a playoff game that wasn't good enough. No, you know,
he plays to an injury his final year there, still
it's not good enough. Whatever happens happens. And then they
moved on to Sean Watson. And the sad thing is
like Jacoby Brissett actually played some good football for him
last year, but not many people highlight that. They just
they want to see what they have in Watson considering

(23:38):
the investment they made. But you get this kind of
mixed reaction to yeah, you know, it's stinks, but we
just really want to win like that. That's how it
That's how it comes off, is they realize that, like
you know, at this point, yeah, he's our quarterback, so
we got to support him, you know. But the second
things go wrong, I think they're all going to be like,

(23:58):
all right, good, thank god, we can just get someone.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Else in here.

Speaker 6 (24:02):
It's crazy because they did a whole They created a
whole campaign around when all that stuff happened with Ray Rice,
a whole campaign, and only because they were able people
were able to see it, right, I mean you think
about no one was able to see what could you
imagine if some way, somehow with all these people that

(24:24):
have come out and said what Deshaun Watson has done
if someone actually captured that s on camera and we
were able to see what.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
That man did.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
Could you imagine the I mean, but the idea of
what the the representation of the league and what that means,
like the conduct policies and all the codes that that
have been put in place to govern the players.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Can you imagine the s.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
Show that would be if there was actually footage that
that confirmed and showed the lewtness of the situation that
took place.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I forget where it was who came out with it,
but there was. They released the testimony of the women
and there was a common theme in how he had
his preferences and it's so revolting and so disgusting the
way it was described. If there was video of that,
I would love to hear the NFLPA try and justify

(25:26):
why he didn't deserve at least a full year suspension.
I would have loved to have heard their justifications said.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
It's why I think what Lauren Baxley is doing is
important because if she does get this thing to trial,
we will be able to see some of this stuff
come to light. And so there's part of me that
hopes that, like we get at least that per perspective
and everything that happened from the trial, and maybe even
Deshaun Watson's too, because he hasn't really spoke on any

(25:53):
of this. Now listening to that would have to further
the conversation of the NFL, even though they they've already
levied the obviously the the disciplinary actions against Deshaun Watson.
Then we won't go any further.

Speaker 6 (26:08):
If it gets bad with the exposing of information, If
it gets bad, what is the NFL going to do?
We already we said we're not going to further punish him.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
I don't think they can do anything.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
They already I think that was part of the part
of the grads.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
And there still is one other pending lawsuit that's early
in the discovery process, so that is also out there.
It's not as far along as this one is, so
there's still, you know, more information to be gathered.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
Got what a disaster?

Speaker 1 (26:42):

Speaker 8 (27:01):
Know you're sick and tired of these stupid sports shows
where the hosts say stupid things like Tom Brady's the goat.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Or Lebron James is good at basketball, which he is
clearly not.

Speaker 9 (27:12):
See.

Speaker 8 (27:12):
We give you smart takes, and we also bring on

years now the combination of Lebron James and Anthony Davis
are going to finally get it done.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
And here they are.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
P here they are p up one nothing over the
defending champs in the Western Conference SEMIS.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
You got to be three COVID year doesn't count thrilling.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
We're getting nailed, Petris, were getting nailed by the King.
This is the dream we were.

Speaker 9 (28:11):
I could hear it all the way from the Bay Area.
You know, there's a woman that there's a reason that
that woman had a full body of orgasm at the
Philharmonic the other night, but nothing touched her because of
the King Man.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
Man music for I'll tell you.

Speaker 7 (28:26):
It was that night.

Speaker 9 (28:27):
Anyway, I had a hard time. You guys have a
new address on the internet. I guess you changed studios
And it was like giving the DoorDash driver the address,
like while he's in your neighborhood, circling around for a
few minutes. So happy to be on, but good morning
to your people, Lee and burto Hey, look at that. No,

(28:49):
it feels like they're trying to put a wrench in
the spokes of my day already.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
No, no, nobody would do that.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Facade. Listen to the sounds like ya, Hoomie, Doug e.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Dog Petros, do you have laker fever?

Speaker 2 (29:05):
I mean, how much is this going to inundate the
radio show in the afternoons there?

Speaker 9 (29:09):
I mean, well, they're going to talk about it, Yeah,
they I don't Yes, it's a huge deal. The Lakers
are in the playoffs and winning when people are allowed outside.
We're no longer arresting people for surfing on the skateboarders. Yeah,
so which is changed. Yeah they're not, Yeah, they're not.

(29:31):
My favorite thing was when they put a bunch of
sand in the skateboard parks so to make sure no
one could go outside.

Speaker 7 (29:37):
Because it's good.

Speaker 9 (29:39):
You wonder why kids are all mentally screwed up these days.
But anyway, the fact that they're winning games while there's
people in town that can go, and even Jack Nicholson
showed up at the game the other day, it's pretty
remarkable to see how the city comes to life for
the Lakers. And Ron James though annoying and says a

(30:03):
lot of pretty annoying things. He rubs a lot of
people the wrong way and no one can figure out
all these sports and had talk types yesterday are like, well.

Speaker 7 (30:10):
Why does he rub people the wrong way? Why?

Speaker 9 (30:12):
It's like, have you been around the last six, seven,
eight years? I mean, were you there when the Jim
Gray thing went down? So Lebron James in town winning
games with people in the stands against the Warriors, who
I believe. What did they go down O two and
still beat the Kings?

Speaker 7 (30:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Yeah, sure, so true.

Speaker 9 (30:31):
You know, let's let's slow our role. It's one game.
But the fact that they made it into the second round,
this seems like a bigger round than the conference semifinals
because of the matchup and people are excited. Why not,
you know, something to be geeked about in La Cool.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
I'm curious, petro as obviously waiting somebody's leg to fall off,
you know, go ahead, I'm sorry, no. As like the
Knicks have kind of re emerged as a contender, at
least in the East. One of the things that kind
of come out from it, at least from the East
Coast perspective, is you hit a lot of people showing
up in Madison Square Garden.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Yeah, the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
I feel like that's always kind of been the case though,
But if you had to throw up between the Laker crowd, right,
especially during the playoffs when when the stars come out
and they're allowed to come out, I should say, and
then the Knicks and obviously Madison Square Garden, which one
you're going with?

Speaker 9 (31:25):
Well, I've never been to Madison Square Garden, which that
makes me, you know, that makes me a really legitimate
sports guy.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
But wait, so in all your time, you've never been
to Madison Square Garden.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Well, why it's Madison Square Garden. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (31:39):
I don't know New York. I haven't been to New
York very much.

Speaker 9 (31:42):
And my last time I was in New York I
think Carson Palmer won the Heisman. Okay, so it's been
a while. It was like one year after nine to eleven.
I mean I have not I'm pretty sure that's the
last time I've been to New York.

Speaker 7 (31:55):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (31:55):
And the time before that, we were playing against Penn
State in the meadow Land in the year two thousand
and Carson was in college and that was the first
year LeVar.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Was not on the team. I wasn't there yet.

Speaker 9 (32:07):
Yeah, first game, Thank god, because watching the tape all
summer wasn't fun.

Speaker 7 (32:11):
That guy's not going to be there.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
Don't worry. If Joe wanted me back, I would have been.

Speaker 9 (32:18):
But we did like a boat, yeah we did. We
did like a boat tour around the island, Manhattan Island,
but we didn't like so Anyway, I have not been
to New York very much. But obviously, you know, you
drive around New York City. You feel like you're in
a romantic comedy or something, at least I did when

(32:39):
I was twenty something.

Speaker 7 (32:40):
So let's talk about La Brady.

Speaker 9 (32:43):
The Lower Bowl in Los Angeles at Staples Center, for
the most part, is generally people that want to be seen.
And when the Lakers are terrible, like the way they
started out the season, like two and ten or something
crazy like that, you get a lot of receptionists with
their boobs out, you know, people that are you know,

(33:04):
these are my bosses season tickets. But I'm here and
it's almost like a club, the La thing, And you
guys can attest to this.

Speaker 7 (33:13):
A lot of the people at Laker games.

Speaker 9 (33:16):
I mean, the playoff atmosphere is different, but Laker games
night in and night out, and it's always been this way,
have always been I'm here.

Speaker 7 (33:23):
To be seen, kind of like a club.

Speaker 9 (33:26):
In fact, they should put mirrors up everywhere because nobody's
that interested in the game and it's a lot of,
you know, people that want to want to be somewhere
to connect to something in the social pipeline. I don't
think that's the case in New York City. I just
think it's a bunch of mailbox head New York fans,

(33:46):
and well.

Speaker 7 (33:50):
I just always thought that they have.

Speaker 9 (33:52):
Whenever the Dodgers used to play the Mets and now
the Yankees, you know, with Interleague and stuff, those people
would just flock into Dodger Stadium. And the reason is
because they live here, and they would come with their
giant mailbox heads and their mat and shirts and forget about,
you know, the whole thing. And it's just like, God,

(34:14):
you know, why is your head? So I have a
big head. Don't get me wrong, but it's like you
just place these giant Italian looking heads on these you know, shoulders.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
Basky all Italian, Yeah.

Speaker 9 (34:28):
Big, those swarthy people with moles, Aaron Judge, Jersey.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
Hey, how big a hat do you wear? Fitted hat?

Speaker 7 (34:37):
Seven and five eighths that's not that big.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
That's pretty big, actually, pretty damn big braid.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
I mean anything over seven and a half, which, by
the way, just so you know that that your dome
you make fun out big, my dom is your dome
is bigger than mine.

Speaker 9 (34:48):
Petros, I have a big head. I'm not I'm not
upset about it. Your head's just larger than life.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Brady. It's good. So my hat size is a seven
and three eighths.

Speaker 9 (34:58):
Oh yes, no one, No one's gonna believe that pebble head.

Speaker 5 (35:05):
Hey, that's not a Hey, Millbox said, let's go back
as you continue to keep offending the Italians from the
East coast.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
But have you heard that my sandwich?

Speaker 9 (35:18):
What I'm saying is, you know, I get the vibe
that there's realer the realer fans are in New York City.
I don't think I don't think that's going across a
bridge too far to say the people in New York
are more real fans. No, really, but seeing Aaron Rodgers,
there a bunch like I hate the well, let me

(35:39):
get some prg and I'm showing up at the game
like punk ass. Prince Harry and Megan Markle showed up
in a Laker game and it's like, get your ass
off the kiss cam.

Speaker 7 (35:48):
You can't kiss a hologram. Harry?

Speaker 5 (35:51):
Were they were they kissing? I mean, what's there saying?
They had the kiss cam? It was very awkward and
she like pulled away.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
I mean, are they in a good spot right now?

Speaker 2 (35:59):
I'm don't know, I don't know better spot than Tom Saron.

Speaker 7 (36:03):
Rodgers right out with Randall Cobb on.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
The kid did he really breaking news? Petrick?

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Are Megan and Prince Harry? And better place in Tom
Sappulvita or whatever. That guy's name is, Tom Sandoval? Yeah,
that guy too? Him and what do you have it?

Speaker 9 (36:19):
Look, don't don't live in la and act like you
don't know everything about the van I don't.

Speaker 7 (36:24):
I hate that about people.

Speaker 9 (36:25):
Everybody acts like they don't know about.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
I attached Petros on Twitter to every story I see
about them, but I never actually read them.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
I just point them out to you.

Speaker 9 (36:35):
So there's a lot, there's a lot of a lot
of a lot of scrap chewing from those reality types
still trying to make that a fair story, you know,
circulating news by another revelation. You know these people, they really,
I mean, just to be a reality TV star in
your like twenties or like late twenties now comes around

(36:59):
you're like forty two.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
That's pretty tough to.

Speaker 4 (37:01):
Look at the bear.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
They're still trying to hold onto it, aren't they.

Speaker 9 (37:04):
Well, I mean I think the show, not that anybody cares,
but it was a show that was a spin off
of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Speaker 7 (37:11):
For a bar that one of those old crones owned and.

Speaker 9 (37:18):
They followed the lives of a bunch of young people,
and the show is pretty popular, and the people all
sleep with each other and say stupid things, and you know,
uneducated want to be actors and waiters in LA and
West Hollywood.

Speaker 7 (37:30):
What's not to love? And the Pump's rule, Yeah, vander
Pump rules.

Speaker 9 (37:34):
And the show was kind of quietly going away because
everybody was aging and nobody liked the young cast. And
then all of a sudden, this dude cheated on his girl,
longtime girlfriend, with this young doe eyed hottie, and the
world caught a flame and Bravo took advantage.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
A ratings ploy. Are you saying that? Are you calling
conspiracy theory? Maybe there wasn't an affair and this is
just for all raw for ratings.

Speaker 9 (37:57):
No, I guess there was an affair, but they certainly
they certainly poured lighter.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
Fluid on it on the h's all scripted?

Speaker 9 (38:04):
Isn't all scripted TV? Pretty reality TV? Yes, not the
way you would think, right, It's much more. It's not scripted.
It's a lot more like we're going to put you
here and you're going to react how you said you
were going to react because we talked about.

Speaker 7 (38:19):
It, right, like you always have this.

Speaker 9 (38:23):
It does, but it's not like you know, you say
this and you say that, you know, it's not scripted
in that way. It's more manipulated, like you're maybe I
didn't put it right, Like if you're a reality guy,
let's say you're on the Bachelor or I mean, it's different.
The shows are different because if you have your phone,
that's a different show.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
Right.

Speaker 9 (38:43):
There's these shows where they take your phone and won't
let you email and watch you slowly go crazy while
they manipulate you. And then there's these shows that play
the long game that manipulates you while you're out in
the world and have your phone, like the Bravo shows,
Real Housewives and all that. And the truth is like
you'll have if I was Brady's producer, like after the

(39:05):
show today, I'd be like.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
You didn't like that rap lyric that LeVar said, did you.

Speaker 7 (39:12):
Tell me about it?

Speaker 3 (39:13):
You know?

Speaker 9 (39:13):
And Brady's you know, he's in his confessional and he's
looking at the camera and he's saying, yeah, you know,
LeVar does all this West Coast rap stuff. He doesn't
respect the East Coast EPMD and the stuff. You know,
So you say that, right, and then you also have
some other weird, awkward conversation with LeVar maybe in another
time that doesn't even involve this, and they will splice

(39:36):
that together show, right, So so does that explain it?
You know, it's a it's a little bit, it's a
little slicker than you know. Brady comes in fuming, LeVar
stands up nonplus. You know it's not you know, it's
a little different than that kind of script. But yes,
the vander Pump Rules is clinging to its last moments

(39:57):
of a scandal.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
Man.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
You know your stuff, you know how to put all
this stuff together. Man, this is this is something I
would have thought the Lakers would have lost last night.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Yeah, well I was on that boat.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Now.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Now your thoughts Petros on Lebron James saying that Anthony
Davis's jersey will be raised to the rafters at one
point at the Crypto dot Org Arena.

Speaker 9 (40:20):
Your thoughts on that, Well, if they look they're away.
They won one game in the second round. But if
Anthony Davis wins a few titles or another title as
an LA Laker putting up these numbers, I don't see
why that wouldn't be the case. I mean, we see
those a lot of those jerseys up there, though, It's like,

(40:41):
I don't think they would have put Paugasol's jersey up there,
even though he was deserving. I think they did it
because of the Kobe connection and his connection to Kobe's family,
and that probably was a little bit overdue. And obviously
Shaq is up there and all that stuff. Sure if
he wins a title. Outside of Florida. With all the

(41:04):
Baltic guys having lunch every day, having the time of
their lives, everybody else hated the bubble except for like
all those dudes from the Baltics.

Speaker 7 (41:11):
This is great. He saw the shine. We get the
kla many.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
Sounded.

Speaker 9 (41:25):
They were like sitting at dinner every single They're like, oh,
check out the dudes from the Baltics. There's a Viza
Zubos and Luca Punch Its breaking bread for the twentieth Dan.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Hello. This on just what the Italians sound like when
when they came down of.

Speaker 9 (41:44):
Oh my god, sausage head mailbox had Italian fans. That's
all you get there. Chris Rock and Spike Lee wearing
some stupid outfit, get him on Twitter.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
If you are Italian and you have some thoughts on fresh,
papak is calling out the size of your head at
the old p on Twitter. That is at the OLDD
on Twitter like walking sweating sausage.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
I did. I did ask it a sign guy once.
I was like, what are you on?

Speaker 1 (42:16):
Man?

Speaker 3 (42:16):
And he kind of jacked up. He's like, moot sorell
and he's like, those are my peds. I was like, okay, well,
there we go. That's a PD moot Sorell and pursue.

Speaker 10 (42:25):
I was like, okay, yeah, I would rather be in
I'd like to see what Madison Square gardens, like a
lot of euro cards outside the venue there.

Speaker 3 (42:38):
When you decide to go, will you let me know?

Speaker 5 (42:40):
That would be appointment like TV for me just to
sit in person next to you and take in the
entire crowd environment.

Speaker 9 (42:49):
Ever we've been to Boston, I've been to TD Bank North. Yeah,
thoughts of this game and what were all? It was
like a Springsteen concert, just like white arms, you know,
everybody had everybody was white and they all had their
arms up Springsteen, white people love well.

Speaker 7 (43:08):
It was a Celtics game and Springsteen is all white.

Speaker 3 (43:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (43:12):
Yeah, So what did the bottom rogues sound like? They
all did that song. They love that song, climbing up
the topsail and I lost.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
My lave, Oh dropkick Murphy's.

Speaker 9 (43:27):
And I lost my lives. That's all they do, and
they dance around like Irish people. There's a lot of
mailbox headed Italians there in Boston too. If you've ever
been in the North End.

Speaker 4 (43:38):
Come on Petrose, we appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Congrats again on your lakers and for anybody that was offended.
If you have a mailbox, had tough balls. Flag up,
I have a delivery.

Speaker 5 (43:56):
Go out, look at your mailbox and then give a
fuck in the mirror makroom.

Speaker 7 (44:00):
Hey Brady, I want you to go. I want you
to go.

Speaker 9 (44:02):
Get the globe from your kids class.

Speaker 7 (44:07):
I was actually seven and one fourth.

Speaker 5 (44:11):
I was actually gonna go out to Southwest Ranches and
look at a horse and then look at the mirror
and see if this you have a longer face exactly.

Speaker 7 (44:18):
I guess it's just real small up top.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
He does have a longer face. He doesn't have a big,
big ass head, but it is a.

Speaker 5 (44:24):
Longer Hey Brady, not that globe d the Petre says,
Hey Brady, why the long face. Damn.

Speaker 9 (44:33):
All right, Hey, I'm going upstairs to make some pasta.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
There is Petros papen egg Is again. Get him on
Twitter at the Old p the Coast of the Petros
