He was set to go off at three to one odds.

Racing commissioned veterinarian scratched Forte after a workout this morning
due to a bruised right front foot that the horse
sustained earlier this week.

Speaker 7 (01:06):
Hey, Galla's great, you guys watching gallup at Galas great

an obvious Yeah, it seemed.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Fine to me. I woke a lot worse than him.

Speaker 7 (01:20):
I think they were overly cautious, but I have to
understand and respect the fact that they're overly cautious.

Speaker 6 (01:26):

(02:05):
sues doctor James Andrews. We know doctor James Andrews for
malpractice after ACL surgery. The interesting conversation. UH commanders support
DC in efforts to gain control of RFK Stadium site.

(03:58):
up on Game and up on Game Presents. Wherever it
is that you get your podcast from. We appreciate that.
As I mentioned, if you missed anything, just make sure
you go to the podcast, because our one was pretty good.
We talked all basketball. We'll also have Ret Butler coming
on as in fact, I did not mention that, but
we will have Ret coming on to talk Canelo Alvarez

(04:21):
fighting tonight. That's going to be a big pay per
view event, and there's a UFC, a major UFC event
as well, so we'll talk about that. I failed to
mention that in the headlines, so my apologies there. But
let's start with Frank Collindo right now. Guys, this is
a pretty interesting conversation that I had with this legendary

(04:42):
comedian because.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
It was it was very.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
It made me aware, It made me do a little
bit of introspection, a little bit of digging deep and
you start to think about things. He gave a little
bit of perspective, and I thought it was interesting on
some of the aspects of his care and maybe why
he does and doesn't do some of the things, a
little bit more than what maybe people have anticipated. Check
out this week's legendary moment. This isn't that sert conversations

(05:10):
with a Legendgay.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
It presents conversations with a legend and now this is
your legendary moment.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
It just takes a certain mentality to be able to
know that you belong. I know C. T. Fletcher said, well,
somebody got to be the baddest and there might be
one out there that's the baddest. Well, I'll tell you what,
there's still one out there that's going to knock the
hell out of that, the baddest one as well. So
you have competition, you have competitors, and if you weren't

(05:44):
good at what you're doing, you would not have had
the longevity that you've been able to have. Well, I
found a niche, all right.

Speaker 8 (05:50):
So my niche was the sports thing, which is what
really which is what I knew, right, And I did
it because I like I like sports overall. I knew
more about him in sports, so I would go, that's
the route I really took. I'm trying to say this
the right way. I worked hard in certain things, but
I could have worked in other areas and done.

Speaker 9 (06:10):
A lot more.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I can do impressions all day of all.

Speaker 8 (06:13):
I can do that type of stuff, and I even
stopped doing it for a while to try and do
some other stuff. But realize, well, that's really what people
want from me. You get tired of being the thought
of one thing what you were in your first the
first life that builds you, and then there's the second
life that turns you into this thing you really want
to be. And whether you get there or not you

(06:36):
never know, but get yeah, just make the effort right.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
That is that.

Speaker 9 (06:40):
So I'm in that.

Speaker 8 (06:41):
I'm kind of in that right now where I'm trying
to do something different. I'm proud of the stuff I did,
but I you know, I would turn down shows They're like, Okay,
we want you to come on, and now you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Do this character.

Speaker 8 (06:52):
That's gonna you're gonna start doing a Morgan Freeman voice.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Then you're gonna do a Robert Denny Junior voice.

Speaker 8 (06:57):
And then you're gonna go back to Morgan.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Like I can do. I know, I could do that.

Speaker 8 (07:01):
It's not doing anything for me.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
How about I play a character? Oh, we want somebody
else for that.

Speaker 8 (07:05):
I'm like, okay then just you know, people always ask
me why are you not doing as much TV? And
I'm like, well, because I don't want to keep doing
the same thing. I've done that and now it's time
for younger, new people to come in. I think I
still have some of that sports mentality. Why I watch
some of these new new people coming up, I go, oh,
they're really good.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
I've done this.

Speaker 8 (07:23):
It's almost embarrassing. I feel like you're going and playing
in legends, you know, college legends, football games.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah, flag games all the time. Guys, have you have
you ever found yourself feeling like you were just over it,
like I just don't want to do it anymore?

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Like did you get that?

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Did you ever have that moment maybe possibly during your
your pro football career or anything else that you may
have been doing at some point in time where it
was like it was just it just felt like it
was just time to do something new.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
I mean when you're talking for me, I never had
that with football.

Speaker 10 (08:08):
It was just always fun for me to be able
to play a kids game for a kings ransom, so
to speak.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
I've always enjoyed it.

Speaker 10 (08:17):
I never We all get tired of at times the
monotony of practice and doing those things, but the locker
room and the games and the preparation, I never got
tired of it. And it could be because growing up
I didn't play a ton of football, and so when
I started playing it, I wasn't worn out physically or mentally,

(08:39):
and so for me that that never has happened. But
when you think Craig Callendo, you, I mean, we all
think of the impressions and things of that nature. So
it's going to be really hard for him because when
you hear that name. To me, that's the first thing
that pops up in my mind is him doing those

(09:01):
type of impressions. And so we must see him do
other things before we hear that name and think of
something else. But at least for me, no, I never
really got tired of fed out with football. You get
tired at times of practice, but it was.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Just too fun for me. Man.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
We was fortunate enough to have Craig up up with
I believe it was two training camps in the row
when I was with the Giants. He came in and
you know, gave him some, gave us some last when
we was having like the real tour days, which these
young kids don't know nothing about, he would, you know,
come in and make some jokes and he was just
when you saw him, it was just all about impressions.

(09:40):
I think the NFL had them on years ago. Uh,
coming on NFL Sunday and he was just you know,
doing impressions of coaches and players and you know, he
could just do it all. And I understand it. But
for TJ. I had that feeling my my twelfth year,

(10:01):
going into my last year my deal. When I was
in Pittsburgh, I knew that the day training camp started,
I was like, you know what, this is gonna be
my last year. I don't want to do this no
more and go I think, going in with that mindset,
it's almost as if I was saying, I say, you

(10:22):
know what, man, I just want to enjoy it, not
get hurt, and be able to walk off into the
sunset and just you know, I have a great career.
And it didn't end up that way. And I still
think to this day that that mindset of me, you know,
approaching the season, that way of you know, I just
want to enjoy it. I'm a player and not get hurt.

(10:44):
And I ended up tearing my rotator cuff and my
labor and it was a career and the injury for me.
And when that happened, it was like, you know what,
I don't want to do this no more. And that
was my mindset going in, But after I got hurt,
it was definitely the mindset had completely just shut off

(11:05):
up because you know what, I've done everything basically in
this game that I've set in to do, and it hurts,
and it's time to turn the page and walk away
and and and be proud about it, because you know what,
I don't want to do this no more and it's
perfectly fun.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
I felt like Washington. My experience in Washington forced me
to kind of feel like there's something else on the
other side of this, and it forced me to think
that much earlier than what I wanted to. And so
when when everything kind of went the way that it

(11:46):
went in Washington, I actually felt guilty when I left
and was in New York, like I'm sitting here looking around,
I'm happy as hell that I'm with my friends. I
was familiar with obviously with Plex familiar with AP. He
got really close with with OC. You know, just got
really close with with a few guys and really really

(12:09):
enjoyed the camaraderie and the atmosphere that existed in New York.
But I felt like a trader, Like I felt like
a straight up like you are you are just this
ain't okay, you know, because I went to the East.
I went to the NFC East. And while I had

(12:31):
I made the decision. It was the best decision for
what I was trying to do, which was I wanted
to stay in a major market.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
You know.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
My other opportunity was Green Bay. So it was between
Green Bay and New York, and I knew more of y'all.
I was comfortable with y'all, and it was it's great
city and it's close to to d c's where my
parents are. So I chose New York. But I just
felt like a trade, you know, the first time, I
didn't feel like a trader. Plex. If you go back

(13:03):
and you look at that season that we had together,
my first games, I looked like a shell of myself.
I look like some trash. I'll be the first one
to tell anybody, like I did not have a good
first few games. You know what game I came out
and played Dallas. Yep, I come out in the Dallas
game and it was me, like that was me. It

(13:24):
was the first. It was like Dallas over overrule being
a trader. It's like I didn't feel bad making a
play like I'm going out here, I'm gonna want these boys'
asses and we're gonna get it in. And that's exactly
what I did. And that was my last game of
my career. But I blew my ass.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
It's not.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
You didn't have that feeling initially. The business made you
have that feeling. The business made me feel. But you
know what, in life, you never know what's gonna make
you feel like I need to move on.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
You just never know.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
It could be tragedy, it could be it could be success,
it could be longevity. Like it just you just old
whatever it may be. For me, it was it was
the business aspect stole the love of the game. It
wasn't just It wasn't like working out and sacrificing all
the things that we do to be able to do

(14:20):
the things that we're able to do. You want to
love the game. I need to love this game. I
can't be doing all that stuff that that's that's physically
grinding on you like that, and I don't have the
love anymore, Like I didn't have that true love of
the game. It turned into a business and it was
like for a little bit I was able to go

(14:42):
in and work out and be there because it was
just business. But once I realized that just business was
not enough. I needed the love and I needed that
energy to go with it. It was like it was
kind of I was on the clock, you know, I
was on the clock and so so crazy enough. Coincidentally,
I blow my achilles tendon and it was like, you know,

(15:05):
I told Kaflin, like, look, I honor my contract, but
I'm in pain. Like I was kind of in my
mind I was done and and they allowed me to
walk away. But man, it was, you know, it just
business changed it for me. But anyway, shouts out the
friend Colliendo. Man, I appreciate you all stories as well

(15:25):
in terms of you know how how that approach of
you know, maybe sometimes there is things that make you
feel like there's more out there and you want to
do it. I mean, clearly we're all doing media right now,
We're on the radio, so we have chosen different career
paths that we have taken taken up so and not
doing too bad. And you know what, in fact, this

(15:46):
is up on Game, our show that we do. And
make sure you keep tuned in and stay locked in because.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
We're we got people outside on the street calling my
man panteam man.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Yeah, yeah, that is very true. Well, I mean he
does have a hell of a head of hair. I mean,
and it looks like maybe what you come on where
you're at panting with the oils.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Poo.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Yeah, it shouts out to to panting and to panting
and himself. DJ Richman's Ada Plexico Burgs. We're gonna take
a quick break. This is up on Game. Fox Sports
Radio will be right back.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
All right, welcome back in. It's Up on Game. We're
lying from the tyrack dot com studio, fellas Robert Salah,
and we'll we'll get to Retrhet Butler from Pretty Left
Hook podcast off of Up on Game presents after our update.
Uh to talk about some boxing and some some UFC.

(17:31):
But Robert Salah had notions of Aaron Rodgers's Witch wish list,
said it was silly that that that was even discussed.
I don't think it's silly at all. When when a
player of that caliber has a wish list and they're
of that age, you probably want to bring in guys

(17:54):
who know your offensive style, your your offensive schemes. You
probably want to bring in maybe even alignment or you know,
you may want to bring in a running back, whatever
it may be, but it is it is it silly
to think that Aaron Rodgers came in having a wish
list for the New York Jets to want to come there.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
If that wishless is of players that are worthy, then
it's perfectly fine. I have no problem with it.

Speaker 10 (18:27):
But when you just bring it in players to bring
them in because they're your homies, they are potna's, They're
not gonna have a problem with it. And so I'm
going to have a problem with Randall Cobb being signed
because as of today, this is wide receiver is in

(18:47):
a position of need for the Jets. You have Garrett Wilson,
you have Alan Lazard, you have Corey Davis. As of now,
you don't need receivers now. Aaron Rodgers may want Randall Cobb,
but you don't need them. They bring in a Marcedes Lewis,

(19:11):
is that that to me would be.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
A player.

Speaker 10 (19:17):
He's basically an extra alignment, And so I would I
would look at that differently than I would look at
them signing Randall Cobb.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
But yes, Aaron Rodgers has a wish list. You want
to appease him, you want to make him feel like
he has. Some say so and I get it.

Speaker 10 (19:34):
But at the end of the day, Robert Salah can
say what every old there's no wish list, Yes there is,
and you.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
To it and I get it. I get it.

Speaker 10 (19:45):
You know he's a quarterback and you don't want to
piss him off. But I'm not signing Randall Cobb because
it's not a position that I need.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Man, it's slapping everybody right in the face. I mean,
and not be a wishless You got on the phone
with the man, he told you what you wanted and
you gave it to him. There's no way that Adam Lazard,
Mercedes Lewis and Randall Cobb, who he was all teammates

(20:15):
with on the same office in Green Bay and up
in New Jersey playing for the Jets. I mean, come on,
so lot, man, what do you think we are here?

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Listen?

Speaker 4 (20:26):
I know he was at Michigan State. You, my guy,
just saw you in the game a couple of weeks ago. Well,
come on, man, don't you know what they call it?
A bunch of bologna bologney. That's exactly what it is.
The man got what he wanted. He wanted to get
OLDBJ but the Baltimore Ravens gave oldb Jail an offer
he couldn't turned down in a one year, fifteen billion

(20:49):
dollar deal may escalate the eighteen million he went and
chased the cheese. But as far as and Rodders is concerned,
he basically got the players from his former team, the
Green Bay Packers here in New York playing for the Jets,

(21:10):
so he can say whatever he wants to say. But
that man has some kind of pull when you can
tell the GM and the owner and the head coach,
these are the guys that I want, and you go
out there and get them.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
I personally don't have a problem with it, like I problem.
And that's why my whole thing is is why are
we even making like why is there even a big
to do being made about it? Like why why is it? Like, oh,
it's silly, it's silly to have a wishless Like why
is it silly? The man is older. If you had

(21:44):
a quarterback that had TJ. Huschman Zada and Chad o
Cho Senko on the same receiving corps and you had
an opportunity to get one or both of them on
the new team with you, y'all not trying to make
that happen. Hell yeah, y'all trying to make that, especially
especially in scenario, was.

Speaker 10 (22:02):
To publicly say, oh, we're not doing this to a peace,
be upfront and honest about it.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
So what is it? So what you're trying to appease him?
He's a two times I mean he wanted to. He
just won the MVP back to back years, you know that.
I mean, he's he's motivated. He's highly motivated, clearly to
have a good season to prove that he's he's more
than what maybe they made him out to be in

(22:31):
Green Bay. Why not appease him? Why not even come
out and say, you know what, Hell, yes, we're giving
Aaron Rodgers what the hell he wants, which is, I
don't care, homeless, whatever list there is. We're gonna make
sure that Aaron Rodgers has that and is happy coming
to New York to play for the New York Jets. Well,
what's the problem with that?

Speaker 4 (22:52):
What Roberts lad needs to be worried about is winning
football game period, because if he does not win football
games with Rogers, that quarter down, Yeah, he'll bring you
bringing all these players in. Let me tell this, he
has to make the playoffs. The last he has to
make the playoffs. If he does not win with this

(23:15):
group of guys that he has, he ain't got to
worry about being the head coach of the of the
New York just in twenty twenty twenty four because he
won't be there, so all the pressures on him. There's
no pressures on Anon Rodgers. He's going to go out
and play and play. Well, we suspect that he will
with the guys that he has in his offense and

(23:36):
that defense that they have. They are already picking the
jests win the AFC East and go to the Super Bowl. Well,
he needs to worry about to win the football games.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
M all right, Well, we're gonna bring on Rep Butler,
a pretty left hook podcast on up on Game Presents.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Just after.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
We talked to Isaac lowingcros Let's get our update and
then we'll talk to boxing and some UFC HI. Low
what you got, fellas.

Speaker 6 (24:02):
This morning, Kentucky derby favorite Forte was scratched from the race.
He was set to go off with three to one odds.
Forte's owner Mike Roppoli, saying that a Kentucky state horse
racing commissioned veterinarian scratched Forte after a workout this morning
because of a bruised right front foot that the horse
sustained earlier this week.

Speaker 7 (24:21):
Hey Gallus, great, you guys watching gallup. The gallop grat
came off. They said he was off a tick. It's objective, man,
It was not. It was not like an obvious Yeah,
seemed fine to me. I look a lot worse than him.
I think they were overly cautious, But I have to
understand and respect the fact that they're overly cautious.

Speaker 6 (24:42):
That audio courtesy of WDRB Television. Ropoli went on to
express frustration about the consistency of scratching decisions from state
to state. Today's NBA Playoff Action tips off, oh Loo,
state to state Apparently, Today's NBA Playoff Action tipping off
at three to thirty Eastern from the state of Florida,

(25:02):
the Miami Heat hosting the New York Knicks Game three
of the East Semis, with the series tied at one.
Then tonight at eight thirty, Game three of the West Semis,
as the Los Angeles Lakers host the Golden State Warriors,
with the series tied at one. Finally, fellas. Yesterday, during
warmups of a professional rugby match in France, a bull

(25:22):
got loose on the field of the stadium, sending macho
rugby players from both teams sprinting away and jumping into
the safety of the stands. The bull, along with four
of its friends, was supposed to be part of a
pregame ceremony quote to honor local livestock unquote ironically sponsored

(25:42):
by a nearby meat processing plants that was run by
the owner of the home team. The bull eventually slowed
down and was brought back under control by its handlers.
Now I know that if a bull, a rogue bull
began running amok on an American football field before one
of your games, you guys would not flinch back to you.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Yeah, we gotta go ahead and take him on down.
We're going Yeah, No, I'm gonna get out of the way.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
We are out of there.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
I don't think I'm going to jump into that one.
I think I think better of that one.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
But what I won't think better of is bringing on
this next guest. Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Knowledge is about to be dropped on your head. I'm
ready for up big stage, like an upper cut to
the chip. Here's Red Butler from pretty left hook.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
Ef What up? Though?

Speaker 2 (26:39):
We got my man, Red Butler on a pretty left hook.
How you feeling, my guy?

Speaker 5 (26:45):
What's going down?

Speaker 9 (26:46):
Man?

Speaker 5 (26:46):
We're rolling solo state to state.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I heard that, you heard?

Speaker 2 (26:55):
All right? So look we got Canelo versus Rider tonight
we got UFC What what what number is a two
twenty eight or two eighty eight? I believe one of what.
I believe it's to eighty eight. That that's that's popping
off tonight. Talk to me. Let's start with Canelo and
and obviously his fight fighting Rider. Uh, this is an

(27:19):
intriguing matchup. I mean, I don't know. I don't know
that it should be too much of a problem for Canelo.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
What what is this?

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I guess the question is what is the fight for?

Speaker 9 (27:32):
Why?

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Why is Canelo doing this fight?

Speaker 5 (27:35):
I mean, honestly, what as for? Is it's a homecoming
fight for Canelo. It's the first time fight back in
a home state of or I say country of Mexico,
but his home state of Guadalajada. He has never fought
there since he was an amateur really and lashing Ford
in Mexico was twenty eleven. So the King is back.
You know what I'm saying. He's been showing America love.
Mad Long Night's back home, and that's what it's about.

(27:55):
He's telling out fifty Selvis or t J. Black, this
is real, big business man.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
Yeah so he So he's back home fighting in the
same country where he was eating bad meat. Put that
bad beating in his mouth, tainted meat.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
He listen, I.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Don't even know the guy that he's fighting. I like Canelo.
I have a lot of respect for him in the
boxing world. But moving forward, like, what is next for Canelo?
Is he going to fight uh to kill Stevenson or
Tank or anybody? Chavez Junior? Who is he going to
fight that? We know who the hell the other opponent is.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
Man.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
We first of all, we love the court, so we
don't want him to get murdered. This man is way
bigger than him.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
No, I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
I don't think so.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
Rick with your point Canelo right now, honestly, the biggest
battle in terms of the public opinion is against.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
And I would love to see it, and they would never.

Speaker 5 (29:05):
He did say it, had something to say about this,
and he said, look, buddy, I'm not retired yet.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
Relaxed and yeah, rider Canelo is the hell of a fighter.
He's a hell of a fighter. But he's coming off
of a loss to BiVO.

Speaker 10 (29:27):
Now he this this here, everybody will say, is an
easy fight for Canelo, easy fight in within seven or
eight rounds. They want to see him fight benevetezuh Morell,
David Morrell, Charlo. He wants to fight Belvo again. Canelo

(29:48):
hasn't been fighting the type of fights. Even when he
fought Belvo the first time, nobody wanted him to take
that fight. He took that fight and lost, and then
it was like, oh wow, but everybody was saying at
that point in time, he was kind of still cherry picking.
And so Cannelo is gonna have to start fighting fights
that are more fifty to fifty. I can't recall the

(30:12):
last fight that Canelo had that was a fifty to
fifty fight, even even when he fought Triple G. I'm sorry,
he's not coming off loss. He fought Triple G. Even
when he fought Triple G the last time, that wasn't
a fifty to fifty fight. I mean, so many guys
had avoided Triple G for years and years and years
In my opinion, Canelo included and then got him at

(30:34):
the right time, and so when will we see him
in a fifty to fifty fight.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
So I'm gonna push back on that because I think
Triple G wasn't for the fifty to fifty fight. It's
just the last one.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
He was a little aged.

Speaker 10 (30:45):
But I think you really don't think Cannelo and them
waited Triple G out. I mean the first time, Yeah,
it might have been fireatness.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
He wanted to be a multi weight class world chap.
I mean he would have to Serki Koba Lev. He did,
he went and became light heavyweight champ. I mean, we
can't blame a man for chasing Gratis. We can't.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
That man.

Speaker 10 (31:11):
He took that fight strictly for the money. He will
admit he wasn't ready to fight. Everybody knows that.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
I mean, the people wanted to see Triple G three.
And at the end of the day, boxing is still
a wild West and it's ruled by the people's whims.
I mean, it's not like a super lift on of
league or a tournament system, so we know the public
still dictates what people want. And yes, to your point, no,
Canelo wasn't ready to fight David Benavita's, but I think
that's also because Benavita's hadn't fought anybody he respected. Now

(31:38):
I think he definitely looks crazy if he doesn't fight Benner.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
John Brighter, who is writer or fault, Well.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
We're not going to really know writer like that because
he fought mainly in Europe. But he did fight Danny
Jacobs in one.

Speaker 10 (31:51):
But that's all I'm saying. And again, I'm not a
Canelo basher. I love boxing. I think Canelo is number
one pound for pound box in the world right now.
But humm, you can't say. You can't say, oh, Benavidez
isn't fault anybody, but you fight other people that haven't
faught anyone either.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
That's that's a mean But you know.

Speaker 5 (32:13):
That champion privileged. I mean, it's unfortunate. The boxing game
needs a tournament system to get through over these politics.
But when you're the champ, you're gonna pick and choose
how you feel unless you feel like somebody's gonna meet
that money mark, which was taking so long for Tervice
Crawford in their respense, it's always the brand, always the brand,
and Benavidez was known outside of boxing.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Puris, do you do you want to touch on this
UFC at two eighty eight with with Sterling and Kajudo
or do you want to stay Do y'all want to
stay with with boxing? Because I honestly want to go
into UFC. But I mean the conversation here to me,
that kind of I feel compelled to throw out there

(32:55):
is is to double down on the fact that they did.
Ain't as tanged Jim Gray dead ass Tank? Is he
the face of boxing?

Speaker 5 (33:02):
Now?

Speaker 2 (33:04):
That to me that that victory by Tank was the
fight that he needed to take if he was going
to claim superiority in his weight class and and for
what it's worth, maybe even in boxing outside of where
Tyson Fury sits in the heavyweight division.

Speaker 10 (33:20):
Var right, talk to me, has Tank been in a
fifty to fifty fight yet? I mean this last fight
he was just saying, I.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
Think he hasn't.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
No fifty fifty fight is going to be Devin Haney
or the winner Devin hay Haney fights.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Are we saying fifty to fifty as in the bag
takeaway first takeaway, fifty test and win the fight to
be the number one pound for pound boxer in the world.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
You gotta be in a fight where you don't know
who's gonna win.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
You didn't know who was so everybody knew Tank was
going to win.

Speaker 10 (33:57):
This last fight were Tank seventy had Tank winning? Well, well,
who in his weight class is going to give him
a sure?

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Devin Hainty demon only two. I think the RCA fight
was a big fight. That was a significant fight, a
significant move in fact, right now today that is the
fight of the year to day, that's the fight of
the year, the fight of the year.

Speaker 5 (34:23):
And it sold out and they sold one point two
million pay per views, which is a gold standard in
fighting and also the first time Tank had sold over
a million pay reviews bymb SO. But Canelo has done
that seven times in that same building.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
He also he lost one dazzing or whatever.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Didn't he lose one like convincingly lost the first one?

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Who against Triple G?

Speaker 2 (34:49):
No, didn't he do that against may lost.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
The first one, but it was a it wasn't a loss.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
They caught well the Triple G fights, yes, but what
about the the It wasn't the Floyd Maywell the first
big fight that that that what we would say was
a fifty to fifty fight.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
That wasn't a fight.

Speaker 5 (35:06):
That fight that was a mob that it was over
the hill, and he showed him that he was not.
It wasn't a fifty fifty fighters.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
Hey, the fight of the year are between these three Canelo, Tate,
Davis and shakor Stevens. Whatever fight we can get out
of those three, that is going to be the fight
of the year.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Which one is more likely to happen. Are we more
likely to see Saul take a big fight against one
of these guys or see the Terrence Crawford and the
Errol Spence fight, which one is more.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Likely to happen.

Speaker 5 (35:41):
I went to the tank fight against Ryan, and my
sources told me that Terrence Crawford and El Spence is
going to happen and will be announced in the not
too distant near future a lot of money. And Terrence
Crawford felt like he was getting disrespected because he has
never really been a box office star and Earl Spence
has done big numbers and Cowboys Stadium. So it's just

(36:01):
the economy. The scale was messing up the bag. But
I think they're figuring it out now. Man.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
That's my man, that's that's a hot take right there.
Make sure we clip that one. Shoot that one out
our man Red Butler, a pretty left hook podcast on
up on Game Presents. Make sure you check them out.

We're gonna wrap the show up on the other side
of this. We'll take our choice. Is it gonna be
Titans Taylor Lawan suing for malpractice or we're gonna talk
dc RFK stadium site efforts for that. They both sound

(36:47):
kind of corny, but Taylor Lawan actually sounds a little
more interesting. So we're gonna talk about that during the break,
and we'll come back and you'll see what we give
you when we on the other side of the break.
This is up on game Fox Sports Radio. We'll be
right back, all right, all right, all right, welcome back

Jokis back to Murray Murray on the grived knock gone
from the side by de Andre eight and the Suns
has the ball?

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Get it over the booker three pointers say all right,
and that was clearly uh yeah, we basketball play of
the day. I didn't get the credit, so I didn't
know what's probably in my in my notes. Yeah yeah,
k K t a r Suns Radio Network.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Uh so I take that back. I walked that back
through somebody under the bus, and I shouldn't have my
bad bo.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
He got it though. We a team. We're gonna figure
it out. Hey, we got it. We got it.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
If you missed anything, make sure you check out the
podcast up on Games can also check out up on
Game Presents as well. All right, we got two interesting
stories here. Commanders support d C and in efforts to
gain control of RFK Stadium site. That's interesting they want
to put. Uh, they've been trying to put a stadium
in d C. So the Washington uh DC football team,

(38:40):
the Commanders can play you know what in d C.
So that's been an interesting deal.

Speaker 5 (38:46):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
And then the second is Taylor Lwan sues doctor Andrews,
who is a critically acclaimed famed surgeon knee surgeon specialists,
and they're saying he malpractice after an ACL surgery, which
one y'all want to jump on and go ahead and
take it.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
I mean, we can jump on both real quick. I
said a few weeks ago that that Mayor Muriel Bowser
wanted to get all teams back in d C. I mean,
r f K is a legendary on the south side
of d C. So we hope we get back there.
We hope they get back there. And you know, we
see this a lot, especially with Lauan and everybody knows

(39:25):
that doctor Andrews one of the one of the most renowned,
you know, NFL surgeons in the business.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
And you know, it happens.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
You look at you look at what happened to to
Tyrod Taylor, and some of these things that are going
over with the doctors and surgeons and and things that
it happens, and he was never the same after after
his ACL injury. And now he's on the sideline and
you know he's he's uh sing doctor Andrews.

Speaker 10 (39:54):
And we know when it comes to builds at these
stadiums LeVar U, the city, the state, the county that
gives you the land and puts up X amount of
money and raise taxes. Uh, that's where the stadium is
gonna be built. And so if the city, if d
C can come up with the best deal, that's where

(40:15):
it's gonna go. And then if they can't, then you
know somewhere else.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Do you not think that d C doesn't have the
money then why then why would they print money?

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Then?

Speaker 2 (40:30):
Because they don't. They don't.

Speaker 10 (40:31):
They don't want Dan Snyder and they didn't either they
didn't like the relationship they had with them or they
just didn't like him.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
That's what it is. So maybe with new ownership things
would change.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
Because they you know, they were able to build a
new baseball stadium which was very nice and Acostia and
you know they've done they've done you know things in
the nation's capital. I mean, they can do it if
they want to do.

Speaker 10 (40:53):
It's just it works out because when you think the Commanders,
you think d C. You don't think Virginia, you think RFK.
That's why I think it's pretty interesting. Like I don't
think they need to have a big ass stadium. I
think they need to have a stadium that kind of
captures the essence of what they were when when they.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Were what they were and it become what you were before.
You want to capture what you were.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
You want to capture what you were, right, but you
want to be something totally new. I still it was
now getting big and better. I mean, I don't know
that they need a bigger stadium plex.

Speaker 4 (41:28):
When Resking, I'm sorry, when the Commanders Stadium was built,
that was the largest capacity stadium in the NFL, and that.

Speaker 10 (41:36):
Was I know RFK. I know that visitor locker room.
I know that was terrible. They need to Mexican. I
know that visitors locker room was terrible.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
Man, the.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
Better it'll be absolutely fantastic if they can get back
into DC.

Speaker 10 (41:52):
And you know with Taylor the one suing doctor Andrews,
it's what Plaque said, when you one of the best
surgeons of our generation, how do you find him at
fault I wish him the best. We all lose our
careers at some point, you hated to be over an injury.
Wish him the best. Yeah, same here, wish him the best.
Doctor A is one of my guys personally, so you know,

(42:15):
I hope it works out for everybody involved in obviously.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
That's one of my former team in Washington. I hope
it works out for the city and the district as well.
So hope y'all enjoyed the show. Jonas Knox is coming
up next with The JKS Show, The Jonas knock Show.
