remember Michael Irvin? Remember him LeVar? Yes, okay, I was
just wondering, well, it's been a little while since we've
(01:50):
heard from Michael Irvin. He does tie into this next story,
but I was just thinking about that, okay, because I know, uh,
he is knopping on the air at all since that incident.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
And it's been so long ago.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
What are you talking about, Yeah, just the moment of contact,
so to speak with What are you talking about? Somebody
at a hotel in Arizona And apparently apparently that still
hasn't been sorted out because he's really still off the air.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
He's seeking a billion. Yeah, it just something up there.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Huh, what's it's been you know, four months? What's going on?
Speaker 2 (02:25):
You know it just it might be a couple of years.
I mean, going for a hundred million or so, like,
you know.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
It does feel like that one they were AFL network
was pretty quick to pull the plug and be ready
to not be ready to you know, plug it back
in apparently. So so there's there's all that stuff that's happening.
But the reason I bring that up is, yeah, you
brought it. Michael Irvin a few years ago. He was
talking about DeAndre Hopkins and his relationship.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
A few years ago with.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
With Bill O'Brien and it's just back and I believe
twenty twenty. So Michael Irvan was talking about the situation
between DeAndre Hopkins.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
So this was while he was still on NFL.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Now, yeah, he was still on there, so clearly a
long time ago. And so Michael Irvin and talking about
that at the time and talking about hopkins relationship with
Bill O'Brien, because Bill O'Brien was the GM who traded
DeAndre Houston for what Johnson I forget, Yeah, there was
a David Johnson. Johnson I think he was a part
(03:28):
of the deal. But point being, Michael Irvin said that
he spoke with DeAndre Hopkins and DeAndre Hopkins felt that
the reason he was traded is because Bill O'Brien thought
that he had too much influence over the locker room.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
And I remember this.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Bill O'Brien called DeAndre Hopkins. According to Michael Irvin, who
has been gone for four months, bill O'Brien called DeAndre
Hopkins into a meeting and said, last time I had
to have a meeting with a player like this, it
was Aaron Hernandez. Oh wow, I don't know about you,
but that's not the comp I'm going for.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Robbie very offended.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
I would be as well too, but apparently not because
DeAndre Hopkins has got himself another visit lined up, you know,
he's on this free agent tour and that visit is
now following the Tennessee Titans the New England Patriots, who
Bill O'Brien is now the offensive coordinator for yet again.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
So that's a very different role, in a very different
position that Bill O'Brien finds himself in. So but with
that being said, all right, I mean it is a
very different position than being the head coach and GM
of a team. But again with that being said, I
would venture to say that the feelings that a player
(04:51):
has for a coach when a coach wrongs him is
a feeling that doesn't go away. That feeling doesn't go away.
So take that for what it's worth. You're not going
to be like, oh, you know, I'm good now, Like
this is a dude that made that comp that you
just referenced got rid of me during the golden years
(05:12):
of my career. Why would you have a problem with
me having an influence over the locker room. Let's let's
let's kind of let's get to the bottom of that.
You know, I'd like to understand why you have a
problem with me. Why'd you have a problem with me
having influence over the locker room? And everybody said it
was because he wanted Deshaun Watson to have that influence
(05:33):
over the locker room, and so he removed the element
that that maybe kept kept Deshaun Watson from being able
to transition into that ultimate leadership role. Which, even with
that being said, what's the problem with that. Michael Irving
was a fiery type of guy. I've never heard that
(05:54):
that Deshaun DeAndre Hopkins is a fiery leader. I ever
heard that before. So it's not like he's in the
locker room like sunning people like going up in the
Shaun Watson's faces, like, Yeah, I'm an old head from Clemson,
You're a young buck from Clemson. Stay in your place,
Like I doubt that was the situation that was playing
(06:18):
out in Houston. So please justify to me why you
felt it necessary to get rid of me based off
of your thought process. I would be curious to know
what that is. But I think this is an open shutcase.
You're going to go in and you're visiting. You're visiting
the Patriots because the Patriots need a receiver, you need
(06:41):
a place to go, but you need to also keep
the interest alive in you being picked up as still
an elite receiver. And that would be what I would
go with here. I don't think he has any intentions
of going to play under Bill O'Brien. I don't think
he has and the intentions of of going and playing
(07:02):
for the Patriots. And you know, I had this conversation
on up on Game with with with TJ and Plexico
and yeah, and and and TJ was basically making the
point that, as rumor would have it, DeAndre Hopkins may
or may not be one who enjoys practicing. He may
(07:23):
practice at least once a week. And that's that kind
of what what what's what's out there on him? And
that's not a regardless of what that represents, that's not
the Patriot way. And and so you may run into
some some interesting type of kind of clashings of philosophies
(07:47):
because DeAndre is not young. He's not a young guy anymore.
So he has an idea how he does things. He
he has a a way. I'm sure that is established.
But you know, when you go to a different team,
you got to get down with how they get down
in order to be able to fit because you're not
(08:08):
coming in as the man. So that could be one
of those things where knowing that philosophically, they probably may
not match matchup philosophically wise. So I think this is
just he's taking the he's taking the trips jonas that
(08:30):
are presenting themselves and it could possibly make him more
attractive to one of the teams he would like to
go to. Or or the second thought process is he's
seeing if there's a team that's going to offer him
the money and money talks BS runs marathon. So if
the Patriots offer him a nice amount of money. Then
(08:54):
you know what, I can deal with Bill O'Brien for
a year or two.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
It is kind of interesting the stories and reports that
were out there because DeAndre Hopkins talked on a podcast.
I think it was the im Athlete podcast, I believe,
I believe I have that correct. But he was speaking
and talked about all the quarterbacks he wanted to play for.
And I just don't recall Mac Jones or Bailey's Appy
being on.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
That one well, because they're not going to be on
that list.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
I didn't see Malik Willis or Ryan Tannehill.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Or what because they're not on that list.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
I think what this says is that much like Odell
Beckham Junior who ended up getting a really good deal
from Baltimore, DeAndre Hopkins is probably maybe finding out that eyah,
maybe the market isn't wasn't what you thought it was.
And I just wonder, then then what's the approach because
I'll say this right now, I think he's got a
(09:44):
hell of a lot more left in the tank than
Odell Beckham Junior does. Like I don't even think it's closed.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I would agree with that.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Because you look at the past couple of years for
DeAndre Hopkins. And yes, he's thirty one, and we could say,
well he was injured, Well, he was injured a couple
of years ago. He didn't really deal with injuries last
year like he had been. There was a quarterback carousel
because Kyler Murray got hurt. There was a suspension, and
then there was a suspension, and.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
That's significant, six games significant.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
And that was part of the reason why he missed time.
Like I would actually argue coming off the injury and
last year, this is probably the healthiest he's felt in
a long time, based on the amount that he didn't play,
and and the end in Arizona was was a rough
one bill O'Brien's decision making at that time. I think
Bill O'Brien probably felt like the writing was on the wall.
(10:32):
He wasn't, you know, he wasn't in Houston much longer afterwards,
and I think maybe he felt a little bit of
the pressure to try and get things done or get
the organization headed in the right direction. And as we've seen,
Houston's been the armpit far to the NFL ever since.
I mean, they've been terrible, they've been churning and burning coaches,
so I wonder if both those guys get together look
(10:55):
back and go, man, maybe it wasn't really our dynamic.
It was where we were. No, you don't think so,
Hell no, you don't think so. Come on, okay, So
DeAndre Hopkins the practice aspect of all this that was
talked about up on games.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
And if that's if that's how he is, I would assume.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Un the two Eastern time on Saturdays.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
But thank you. Just want to point out is it
noon to two?
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Yeah? Nine to eleven?
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Right? I thought it was eleven to eleven to.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Two, noon to two, nine to eleven.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
I don't know. It's nine to eleven here, yeah, June
the two. Yeah, you're right, jeez, I should know the
time of my own.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
SHO sixty eight in Hawaii.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
By the way, well, thank you. You would think that
whatever whatever idiotsyncrasies that that DeAndre Hopkins has, Bill O'Brien
has a fix on him. I mean, that's the coach
that was around him the longest, right, I would assume yes,
(11:58):
easily six years old. I think it would easily be
the one that's been around him the longest. So whatever there,
whatever their relationship dynamic is, it's it's been well defined.
And and so I if there there is no speculation
Bill O'Brien knows who DeAndre Hopkins is. DeAndre Hopkins knows
(12:22):
who Bill O'Brien is. If Bill O'Brien and the New
England Patriots represent DeAndre Hopkins' last opportunity to play in
the National Football League, DeAndre Hopkins has a decision he
has to make. He has a choice that he has
to make if they're interested enough to want to bring
him on board. But with that being said, I don't
think Mac Jones or DeAndre Hopkins changes the fortunes of
(12:46):
this team. Oh, come on, I just don't. I just don't.
I don't. I don't get that feeling that you're you're
putting your team in the direction of going towards a
super Bowl again, which that's generally New New England is
super Bowl or bust when you when you think about
who they are as a team and what they've accomplished,
and who Bill Belichick's what he represents. So I don't
(13:10):
think that the needle is moved that much with this,
And and to me, that makes this a dangerous proposition.
The reason why it's a dangerous proposition is if I'm
DeAndre Hopkins, Am I really going to take this risk? Like,
what's what's worse having to sit out and wait for
somebody to get injured so I could get a possibility
(13:31):
of getting onto a roster or going to a roster
with a guy that did me dirty before. I mean,
it's like the saying goes, you know, you do me
dirty once, shame on me, you know, or shame on
you actually, and then if you do me dirty again,
it's it's shame on me. I should have known better.
So anyways, I'm not bush, I'm not GW but you know,
(13:51):
I kind of butchered at a tab bit. But it's
if you mess it up the first time, it's shame
on you. If it gets messed up a second time,
it's shame on me, Like I should have known better.
I just don't think DeAndre Hopkins is going to want
to be in a situation where he deals with somebody
that would actually say to him the last time I
had to have a meeting like this, it was with
Aaron Hernandez. I just I just don't see how you
(14:13):
come back from that.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
That's like, you know, the meeting somebody and they say
you know, you remind me of who's that Ted Bundy. Oh,
thank you, I appreciate it. That's it's very good of
you to say that. What a kind person and a
kind thing to say to somebody. It's it's not the
best comprom the world, but when it comes to these
DeAndre Hopkins in New England one of the things. And
Belichick's known for this. I think this is part of
(14:36):
the reason why he brought in Cam Newton when he did.
Apparently Belichick has been a huge fan of DeAndre Hopkins
for years and has always felt like he was a stud.
And Belichick does do this where if there's a player
he admires at some point, he'll kick the tires on
the possibility of her.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
He's a fan at the end of the day. I
mean he's a hard ass, but he's a fan. And
when you have guys you're fans of, I mean, why not.
You know he brought in Randy Moss, you know, didn
he bring in t O t O? He brought in
Chad Johnson. Johnson, Yeah, I mean he'll bring you, he'll
bring you in. He'll bring you in. And maybe that
(15:16):
plays a part in this too. Maybe because we've not
mentioned Bill Belichick. Really it's all been about Bill O'Brien.
Is if Bill O'Brien is a real player in this situation,
which he's really not, it's Bill O'Brien ship, it's Bill
O'Brien show. Excuse me, it's Bill Belichick's show. And and
for what it's worth, if he, if he is the
(15:37):
deciding factor, then that's different. Whatever that whatever that exchange
is between Belichick and hop is going to be to
me what defines what takes place, because otherwise, if it
comes down to, like us having this long ass, drawn
out conversation about Bill O'Brien, who I think is a
non factor really when you think about it, I mean
(15:59):
he is the off coordinator. Some people will be like, well,
why is he a non factor? He's calling the plays,
la la lah. Yeah. If Bill Belichick makes the decision
to want to bring in DeAndre Hopkins and their team
has been struggling and you're trying to get Mac Jones going,
and and for what it's worth, Uh, if somebody's going
to go on the hot seat if that offense doesn't perform,
(16:21):
it's not going to be Bill Belichick. It's going to
be Bill O'Brien, so at the end of the day,
Bill O'Brien has a vested interest in DeAndre Hopkins having
a good year. Everybody has a vested interest in guys
having good years, and so that would supersede and over
over to me, overrule any type of feelings that O'Brien
(16:43):
and Hopkins will have towards one another.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Also, if you look at that division, the AFC East
is not the division you want to have the least
amount of talent, and it feels like it could be
a problem for do England.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
This year was a problem last year.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Yeah, it was. It's two pros and a cup of Joe.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, Sabari Arrington Jonas here all
right to come it up next from the Tirak dot
com studios, a solution for one of the big issues
the NFL is facing right now. We'll tell you what
that is.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Next, I'll tell you about a solution. This market has
been super brutal. Everybody's talking about inflation. We know it's everywhere.
And recently I met with my guy, Dutch Mendenaw who
has that solution. All right, a solution, some of a solution.
Dutch is the founder of rad diversified. He's a patriot,

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Dupros and a cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio. He's
LeVar Arrington. I'm Jonas Knox coming up later on this
hour about twenty minutes from now. We've got an FSRIR
always fun, we report issues, injuries, ailments. It's all yours again.
A little over twenty minutes from now, or about twenty
minutes from now from the ti raq dot com studios,
var Arrington, we were talking about Aaron Rodgers and the
(19:03):
New York Jets and him saying, you know, this is
the most fun he's had in forever. Robert sala has
had a lot of commentary this offseason as well too.
But there's an issue for the NFL that involves the Jets,
it also involves the Bears, it also involves the Saints,
and it also involves the Washington Commanders. Apparently hard knocks
(19:24):
is not nearly as high on the list as a
lot of people in the NFL were probably hoping it
was going to be. The Saints have come out publicly
and said they're not interested in being on hard Knocks,
the Bears have said publicly they're not interested in being
on hard knocks, and now apparently Count Robert sala In
is one of the people that is not interested in
being on hard Knocks. Take a listen to the Jets
(19:45):
head coach Rob have you heard of.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
You guys are hard knocks and on yet I haven't
gotten ordering like that. I know there's several teams that
would love for Hard Knocks to be in their building.
We're just not one of them.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Yeah, so that's unfortunate. So apparently the Washington Commanders are
the only team that fits the criteria that the NFL
is put together.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
And they'll probably do it.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Yeah. Well, like, all right, So I got a couple
of ideas wanted to run by you. You tell me
what you think of these. So here's here's the idea.
I believe that you've got three choices here. Either it's
the Washington Commanders, And I do think that if the
Commanders had gotten their sale of the team figured out,
(20:28):
that they would already be the team that'd be hosting
Hard Knocks and doing this all all this. I don't
know if the NFL wants to shine a bright light
on what the hell is happening between Dan Snyder and
the new ownership group and the NFL and all that stuff.
It feels like maybe the NFL would want to steer
clear of that. So Washington is one option amongst the
(20:51):
teams that fits the current criteria that the NFL is
put together. All right, here's another option. You ditch the
current criteria and you give it to the green Bay Packers.
All this talk about Rogers and the Jets and him
taking potshots. Wouldn't you like to see green Bay featured
on HBO?
Speaker 2 (21:11):
But you would have to They would have to want
to do it too. Yeah, but if that was an
option that, I mean, that is an option too, isn't it. Yeah, Well, no,
they're not on the option list. They don't fit the criteria.
What what what takes them out of it?
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Well, the criteria is you can't have a first year
head coach. You have to have if you've made the
playoffs in the last two seasons.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
They have made it in the last year.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Yeah, Like they've got just these weird rules.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
That I mean that one. That one they made it
the year before.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
I mean, yeah, so they don't qualify.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
But I'm just saying, though they made it the year
before and the reason why they made the playoffs is gone,
so should not decu it like there should be some
type of disqualification, like like avoiding like it's two years
of the playoffs, or if the playoff that was made
the main player leaves, then you should be qualified to
(22:05):
be on the show. Or in the end it just
has to be mandatory.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Or if you're a four point favorite at home in
Week eighteen against the Lions and you gag away that
game at home like that, that I should I just.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Think that put I think that this becomes absurd to
try to figure out who's going to be on the show.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Well, here's what you do. You call up Brian Goodakouns
and you say, hey, man, a rod sure has taken
a lot of swipes that you publicly. What would you
say if HBO walked into the building and saw you
write up on a on a ten speed to practice.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
No, they're going to see what everything that Aaron Rodgers
was talking about.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Yeah, but he's got to get his revenge. Listen, this
is an opportunity for Brian Goodacuns to take some shots
and swipe in the direction of Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
How many people know who he is? Who Goody relevance
of who he is?
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Yes, it is no good Brian kudakoutst I don't even
know if I'm saying his name right right, correct? But
you know what. Listen there. So there's your option. And
then also to your point, here's the third option. So
either it's the commanders, you open it up and it's
the packers, or you just get rid of it altogether.
Because let's be.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Honest, I don't think you get rid of it. You
just make it mandatory. Yeah, but I mean you don't
get to choose if you're going to be on TV
and what your time slot is on Sunday or Saturday
or Thursday or Monday or Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. You don't
get to choose that.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Wait. See you think they can make teams like to
do this again?
Speaker 2 (23:39):
In the end, this is the way I look at it.
For this to have happen the way that it happens,
them to have the access that they're able to have,
this is something that they had to agree upon. This
is an agreement. So there's a contractual obligation here. So
with that contractual obligation being in play, just choose a
gad dang team, man, Just choose a team like who cares?
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Okay, choose a team, all right, so you get your
choice of teams. If I don't need.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
A choice my top three team, I go Washington.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
So even like and I'm saying, we open it up
to the entire league.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
If it's the entire league. I want the Jets. I
want the Jets. I want to know about the Jets,
because everybody is hyping this Jets team, hyping them. I
tell you another one that would be interesting. I think
that Miami would be interesting. Yes, yeah, I think that
would be interesting with.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
You know, Mike mcvape. I mean, why why wouldn't we
Why wouldn't we want to see Miami? That would be fun.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
They're loading up and if they bring in Dalvin Cook,
that team is loaded.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
They are.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
You know, they got Jalen Ramsey this this offseason. They
already they got the cheata of the year before they
they brought in. They might be bringing in not only
would Dalvin Cook, they might be bringing in an all
star helmet, a helmet that's so freaking amazing and just
pumped up that you know that, you know he just
(25:07):
toua never will hit the ground, never touch the ground,
And you know what they need to do it they
can figure out how Tua could throw the ball in
one of them like little one of those big bubble balls,
right that I mean to me, that would be that
would be the thing, like anybody gets like a yard
or two close to to of the bubble ball blows
up its bubble ball.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Like look, we just like touch on that briefly, like
this idea that yeah, listen, he looks great in OTAs
and he looks good. Dude, You're not gonna know whether
or not he can go and take a hit without
you know, convulsing on the ground and going through what
he went through last year.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
Until he gets hit exactly.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
So the idea that it's every all this stuff is preventative, preventative, preventative.
What do you think the chances are that Tua never
ever suffers another concussion the rest of his career? Are
we going to do this for his entire career? Because
to me, it feels like if he suffers a concussion
three years from now, has enough time passed before everybody panics.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
It's just amazing to me how they're saying preventative measures
with the helmets. Like, I'm all about advancements and equipment.
So this this my last year as a head coach.
I was doing like I was looking at products to buy,
and there is these shoulder pads that came out that
absorbed like blows and I was like, man, I'm not
(26:30):
a believer of it. They're more expensive, but they say
you it absorbs the blowing away where you It's just amazing.
So I did the demonstration with my guy Brooks and
he put the pad, the padding that goes into the
shoulder pad over his hand and took a hammer and
hit that bad boy like all out, like as hard
(26:54):
as he could. He hit this pad with his hand
underneath the pad and he was like, you you don't
feel the hit. I was like, while I was very
very nervous and scared that this could be a ploy,
I just didn't believe it. So I had to do it.
So I put my hand underneath the door the pad
(27:14):
and I said, you know, have at it. Just don't
miss and hit my fingers or anything like that. Hit
the pad. So they hit the pad. I don't feel
the pain at all. I don't feel the blow nothing,
like It's just dull. It was a doll like I
could feel like something, but it was so dull that
didn't even matter. Right. So I'm like, wow, this is amazing.
So you start to think about like the advancements in
(27:36):
technology are so amazing. But you're talking about covering a shoulder,
you know, covering a chest plate, covering a knee, covering
a thigh. There's nothing. There's nothing there that says, Okay,
the rattling of that is going to create long term damage, right, Like,
(27:57):
I don't care how stable, how dull the blow is
that takes place to your head, your brain, unless you
can do something that stabilizes your brain inside of your skull,
what are we talking about and all?
Speaker 1 (28:14):
And also like this is just fel like to his
concussions or him hitting the back of his head on
the turf. So yeah that maybe that you know, this
would improve some of that. But dude, like what if
he scrambles from the pocket and he dives to make
a first down and a guy there's a glancing knee
shot to the ear hole.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Next whatever, it could be anything, Jonas, if it rattles,
if it rocks your brain and your brain is hitting
off of your your skull, like it just you're not.
I don't know that there's any technology that can keep
your brain in place. Yeah, like what like, okay, you
got all these new airpads and this, that and the other,
(28:54):
and technology that the helmet shifts and moves with you,
and this that it does. Does it matter if your
head gets whipped back or it hits off of off
of an object. And somebody's going to argue that down right,
They're going to say technology studies, this, that and the other.
I'm sorry, I have yet to be convinced that you
(29:15):
can stop somebody's brain from being rocked around in their head.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
There's been improvements. You're never going to fix it.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
You're not. I'm sorry you're not.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
And then god forbid, you're playing on you know, artificial
turf and you hit your head. I mean, then that's
a whole other issue.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
You know. The funniest thing about when you do this
is it's just funny as hell because when you think
about artificial turf, that is kind of a hard surface.
I mean, they put the flubber down. But then on
top of that, that stuff is not recyclable, Jonas, you
can't recycle artificial turf fields, which is another reason why
(29:54):
you should be thinking about getting rid of it. And
in fact, my people at Pennington, you know, the American
Grass Sea Company, they're on a mission to ban turf
fields with their hashtag flip the turf movement. Did you
know that thirty two percent non contact knee injuries have
taken place? Well, we didn't even throw out their head injuries, right,
(30:17):
So there's that aspect of it. The grass, natural turf,
it's forgiving when you hit it. So make sure you
go to Pennington dot com slash Flip the Turf now
to learn more and sign a petition for teams to
hashtag flip the turf to real grass.
Speaker 1 (30:34):

Braves lose at home to the National six to two.
It was the Blue Jays beating the Twins seven to six.

the FSR IR report.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
All right, stick city, you got one? Do you want
me to go?
Speaker 2 (34:28):
You go?
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Okay, Okay, here's the situation in the setup. Went to
church yesterday morning with my wife and our two year
old son, which basically involves me walking around with him
because he doesn't have the patience to sit in mass
and and deal with all that. And you know, we
(34:54):
were at the Spanish Mass, so yeah, him and I
are are the only two people there that don't understand
what's happening. But we go there and it's a very
beautiful setup and just kind of cruising around and listening
to mass. So after mass ends, I had to use
the bathroom. You know, no, no, just you know, number
one standard, no big deal. And uh, I go walk
(35:16):
into the bathroom at church and I'm standing in line.
There's a little bit of a line in the men's
restroom and people are waiting to get to the urinal,
and this older gentleman walks up to the urinal and
he's just kind of doing his thing, and this guy
cut a fart that sounded like a duck drowning in Chili.
(35:37):
I've never heard anything like it.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
It was sound like it was drowning, and it.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Was revolting and shocking, and I'm thinking of myself earlier.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
It was not a dry Oh no.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
No, no, no, no, no, like like just it was so
foul and there wasn't even like a thought the world
of you know, I'm at church, and like, you know,
like why don't I take this outside? It was just
I don't care who's around. I don't care who's in line.
It's a small bathroom, it's an older church. I don't
(36:14):
care what's around me. I'm letting this thing fly and
you're all just gonna have to deal with it. And
I'm trying to hold my breath and I go, I
take care of business. I'm washing my hands as fast
as I possibly can because I'm running out of air.
And I leave the bathroom and I just think to myself,
why did guys feel like that's the appropriate time to
(36:37):
let one fly? You ever notice that, like you'll be
in a restroom and some people's behavior in restrooms are
so are so revolting, and I just can't seem to
figure out, like who thought or who introduced who introduced that?
Who introduced not washing your hands? And who's the genius
(36:58):
who introduced flushing the urinal midstream? What's the point just
so you can add like, you know, so you can
see two streams collide and make it like a waterfall effect,
Like what's the point of all of that? And it
just made me think while I'm trying to hold my breath,
why certain behavior still happens in restrooms all these years later.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
It's amazing so that I just think that that's that's
a land of the lawless, you know. I think that
you figure out very quickly that that all bets are
off in the restroom. It's it's just all it's just
your manners are gone.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
I don't care.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
Everything that just does not exist, like no courtesy flushing
like you said, just just the you know, the sounds.
And it's just it's interesting the people that just come
out and then that very person that made that that
duck drowning under that chili will come out of that stall.
You'll hear the como flush. If it's a if it's
(37:59):
an automatic, it's not always a given that it'll flush.
If it's not an all automatic, if it's a if
it's a manual, it may or may not flush. And
then that one said individual will just walk out of
the restroom.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
Oh, I don't even know if.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
The look straight out of the restroom. And you know,
and what's crazy about your situation is you're in church.
That's so so what you think the next thing they're doing,
the next thing they're doing, they probably ain't made three
steps before they're patting somebody on their back. God bless you,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
And just the whole idea that look, if you're in
the stall, I get it because that's kind of a
confined space, so it feels like, okay, that's a little
bit private. This guy's at the urinal.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
That's still weird. It's just still weird for me. All
of it is still weird.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Bombs away. I don't know if he washed his hands.
I'm hoping that he did, and then walked right out,
probably kneeled to Jesus and kneeled to God before him.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
And Jesus was up there looking at him. Nasty, nasty you, Jesus.
You know I can't I can't use the word I
want to use, but you're nasty.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Jesus is like, hey, buddy, appreciate you stopping by. I
want you to go and leave your trousers in the trash
can outside. You've got a problem. I've never seen anything
like it was. It was mind boggling that he thought
that was appropriate to do at that point.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
I don't understand why you are one of these people
that want to keep them from coming into the House
of the Lord. My bathroom experience led to me never
going back. Asked why did you stop worshiping in the house? Well,
(39:46):
I went into the restroom of the house, and you
know what, I just had a horrible experience.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
But you you've talked about that. You've seen people watch
stall and just go straight up word the world.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Not you're at a restaurant though. It's horrible. Man, you
should be ashamed. You're one of those people, and one
of y'all listening to this show right now. You should
be ashamed of yourself, wash your hands. Man, wash your hands.
