start off your Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Morning Show staffing update.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yes, Brady Quinn's going to be back on the show.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Go ahead when when, Jonas.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
You know, we're just gonna go ahead and get that
out of the way.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
When when is he going to be back?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
We will have a further update on that at some
point through the remainder of this show and then and
then we'll update you tomorrow morning to let you know that, yes,
he's still on the show again tomorrow morning. So that's
the that's the very latest on at as we continue
to get inundated on messages and tweets and all sorts
of fun stuff with that. All right, we have a
celebrity doing the show with us. That celebrity is none
(02:11):
other than Justin Cooper.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
He is.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
The star the blockbuster film Liar Liar back in the
day with Jim Carrey.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Just going to do an extra three hours, Yeah whatever,
let's just knock down extra three hours.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Out of the goodness of his heart. And the reason
why he's got to do this out of the goodness
of his heart is because apparently lead to lap ran
into some plaine issues flying back from the East coast
and thunderstorms. It's a thing and mechanical issues. Correct, that
was the other one that came out. So, uh, Lee
was supposed to be here.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
He's not so true issues. But he did send the
video of the challenge that was offered to him by
one Jonah. I didn't think he was actually gonna do it.
He did it, and he was. He was pretty efficient
with the way he did it. There you go, there's
that he was.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, there is that last uh yeah, he uh he
let it fly there at the airport waiting around.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
But if that's what you want to call it, letting
it fly. I mean that was I gotta say that was.
It was almost LeVar esque.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
You know, it's a bunch of crap though, And and
the more I think about this, you know, people are traveling.
I saw some report yesterday. Fourth of July is coming up.
There's gonna be like record travel members, especially because Fourth
of July is on a Tuesday, but Monday's technically a
holiday as well too, so people are going to turn
this into a four day, full blown five alarm bender
(03:49):
and the travel apparently is going to be through the roof.
You know, it's crap is that we're seeing more and
more airlines cancel flights. We're seeing more and more flight issues,
mechanics issues, whatever they're coming up with. So when people
just have to hang out in the airport, does the
airline cover your drinks and your food or no? Of
course not, why would they?
Speaker 2 (04:10):
You know, they give you they actually give you enough
money to get some potato chips, a candy bar, and
maybe a gatorade or a water sweet. They also give
you a voucher for specified taxi cab and they give
(04:30):
you a voucher for a hotel room. Nice. That's what
you get.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah, that's what it is. So in Snati, they won't
even float you like a free bag of rolled golds
one of those next pillows.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
They don't even give you. They don't even give you
enough to go to McDonald's or to the local fast
food dip and get a full full meal. And it's
it literally is enough for some snacks at at the
if the hotel has one of those you know, little
(05:00):
snack bars or whatever.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
And then the other thing is, I mean hopefully the
hotel and whatever they've got going on is still open
at that time, because some hotels maybe they're it's slow
and they're not anticipating they're going to get a rush
of people whose flights got canceled and they'll go stay
there at the hotel that night, So maybe they close
the kitchen, maybe they close a little pants are.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Well most I mean well kitchen like no Jonas. No,
there is no kitchen at the hotel you're going to.
That's first and foremost. Let's get that out of out
of your your thought process. And as far as it
being open, it is open because people walk into those
(05:46):
types of hotels at all times of the night. Well, listen,
they haven't turned into be in any bed or anything
at the hotel. Uh, they just look at the you know,
they look at the camera, or they're just sitting up
front waiting, Like yep, the next wave is in of
canceled flights, like these hotels are making out. Man, I'll
(06:09):
tell you that the hotels are making out.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
I just the more that this happens, because it seems
like this is a regular occurrence every day.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Oh, it's regular. It's just it's regular.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
You fly a hell of a lot more than I do.
But the more I hear about this, and the more
I see people go through this and their days are
just ruined, or they've got plans to get somewhere and
it's just ruined. Or they've got a loved one who's
sick and now they just can't see him, and who
knows if that's potentially the last time they're going to
see him. Like not to take a darker drastic turn here,
but all of that stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
People, you're impacted, you bro, You are one hundred percent correct.
These airlines got to do better. Ever since COVID, it's
just been weird. It's just been weird. And then you know,
they have all these different rules and stipulations as to
why they're not liable for what happens, but yet they
(07:01):
want this industry to continue to be what it is,
and quite frankly, at the end of the day, people
have to fly. This isn't just this isn't one of
those industries where it's it's kind of like, well, screw you,
it can't it can't be. It can't be that because
people still, like as many times as I've sat there
(07:21):
and I've looked at at the the sign, the logo,
and I'm like, you know what, you mother efforts, you
you dirty soobs, you sons. I still gotta fly. I
still have to get on airplanes. And so it's just
kind of like one of those those things where you
(07:42):
have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable flying anymore. Like
flying isn't even like I don't I don't really enjoy
the airport process of flying anyway. It's like I'm okay
once I'm in my seat and I'm ready to go.
But now the whole idea of traveling by air has
(08:07):
become one of the most stressful deals that you will
be part of because you're expecting now the unexpected of
Oh it's the crew oh, we timed out. Oh it's
a part on the plane. Well, bring out a bring
out a better god banged plane. Then you're bringing out
(08:28):
a plane that's falling the hell apart. Bring out one
of those planes that works.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
The part on the plane is my favorite. What part
is that.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
They had us on the plane?
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Is it the lock to the to the water bottle fridge?
Is it that?
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Is that what we're waiting on the last time, I
just I just had this happen. We get on the plane,
they bored us, They bored us on the plane, and
then they go yep, yep, yeah, we uh, you guys
got to get off. There's a technical issue that has
to be addressed. And oh, by the way, we have
x amount of time before this crew clocks out, so
(09:03):
we have to.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Hope shift change.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
We got a hope that we get this thing fixed
quick enough actually and then get you and which, by
the way, I had that happened where they took us
off of the plane and then continued to work on it,
put us back on the plane, rushing us talking about
we have ten minutes, we have seven minutes, we have
(09:26):
four minutes, and then they stop saying anything, and the
next thing. You know, everybody's seated and everything's ready to go,
and they're like, we're sorry, you know, we we have
to get off. And that literally was it that that
plane ride was canceled.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
But it goes back to your point, because you're dependent
on them, you can't.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Do a damn you can't do a damn thing about
it because.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Of your cross country What are your options?
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Taking a train? You have options, you have no other options.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
It's just like the whole thing is just it's actually
pretty amazing the bu business model that they've been able
to can just put together and roll out and people, I.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Mean, everybody's not getting a plane, even if you bought it. Yep,
everybody ain't getting a plane. So that's that's I mean,
you could call at a monopoly on any type of
airline because everybody can't. You can't just oh well, i'll
(10:25):
use my car, or i'll use my friend's car, or
i'll rent a car. You ain't just written a plane,
you know. So I mean some of us do, some
people do, some people loan them, but it is that
is what it is.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yeah, But that's up on game money, you know, like
most people don't have up on.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Game well flying private. This for what tomorrow flying out privately.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Again, it's your relatability that I think the audience is
really grabbed on.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Well, I'm sorry, I'm sorry that wasn't relatable, but I
was telling you the.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Truth, Liz. I appreciate him, by the way. A lot
of people are envy because they'd rather, you know, do
whatever they need to do to fly private than deal
with the crap that lead to last and many others
are dealing with around the country.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
It's hey, man, stay up, Lee, stay strong, babyyy.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
You saw the way he was drinking. He's not staying
up anywhere.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Well, and he was doing like he had some weird
ass message that he sent to us accidentally sounded like
he was heading to the Blue Oyster. Yeah, the local
bar from police academy.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
How often did you guys run into mechanical issues when
you were flying team team flights around the country.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Never? Games, Never, It's just never. I can't ever recall
a an issue with the team flight. Ever. That I
can recall doesn't mean it didn't happen. I just I
think that they took care of those things before we
got there.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
I mean imagine that you just handled well.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
I mean kind of sort of different just because you
got flights that are pulling in from other flights, Like
Charter was there, so they kind of had an opportunity
and to make sure everything was in proper order.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Listen, there are people listening right now that you're a
fan of a team that just stinks.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
They're awful, But they're not going to get delayed unless
it's weather. No weather that that will play apart.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
And the thing is, no matter what bag of crap
they roll out, they're still going to make money, just
like airlines because you're dependent on them for your entertainment, Like,
no matter what happens, you're dependent on them. And it
just that business model applies in a lot of other
facets of life, not only in the airlines, but there's
a lot of sports teams out there. I can tell
(12:41):
you this right now, growing up a Cubs fan, Yes,
like the best player in the history of the Cubs
is Wrigley Field, and that's all that matters. As long
as they got right. For as long as they got
wriggly Field, they don't need anybody.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Else's nammer and play for the Cup.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
No, no, no, Ernie Banks. You know some would say, who.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Would Hank Aaron played for Montreal Braves.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
He played for the Braves. But point is, as long
as you've got something that are going to keep people
coming back, if they're dependent on it, they're not going anywhere.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
That is very true.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
And there's a lot of bad teams. Look it's true. Uh,
that's true.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
As your boys. Ion, he's getting a lot of run
on this, isn't he?
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Of course he is. By the way, did you see,
uh Mariah Mills got a face tattoo of Zion? Did
you see that? No, right across her cheek.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
No, she didn't.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
I swear to God. Yeah, she got a face tattoo,
says Zion that came out over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I do not believe that.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I swear to God. Look it up, literally, a tattoo
on her face, says Zion. And Mike, he d up and.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
He hed down. Holy smokes, I'll just say this. And
if you could get that down with an adult film
star where you turn one of them out, y'all shouldn't
be criticizing Zion. Y'all should be giving him some properties.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Yeah, there are certain people, like if you run into
a doctor and they're amazed by your recovery, or your injury.
Like that's saying something because they've seen it all. If
you run into an adult film star and they're so
impressed by you that they get your name tattooed on
their face, which is part of the body that'll be
featured in all sorts of roles coming up, that's saying something.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Maybe she's Jewish.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
What's that supposed to bean? What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Zion's that's another word for Jerusalem, like.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Call well, well and in Stafarian, you know faith, that
is like you know, well, yeah it is, oh yeah, yeah, Motherland,
it is the Motherland. It is. It's like the place
Zion is, mountain Zion. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Well, apparently it's on her face now, so the Motherland has.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Moved first to her face, to her face.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Yeah, how are her co stars supposed to concentrate?
Speaker 2 (15:18):
You know what I mean, there's no way. It's a
real tattoo.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
It's real.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Yeah, it's you see how big it is?
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah, the tattoo right, yes.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Yes, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
As somebody who owns a pair of bad tattoos, that's
the worst, one of the worst I've ever seen. Mike
Tyson's kind of got a little tribal effect to it.
I'm into it. There's some people who get like a
tear drops tattooed. I don't mind that. That shows that
you could cry at any moment. She's got Zion on
her cheek.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
He clearly does more than just dunk a ball very hard.
He is a dunking master. He can throw it down.
I wonder if he does windmills, if he does back
(16:16):
you know, backwards. I mean, I just I mean that
is a big, old powerful young man there. I'll tell
you that definitely is. And I would assume like ray J,
ray J got popular, he could sing. I ain't gonna lie.
Ray J got a good voice, and he well, he
(16:37):
was known as Brandy's brother for a really long time,
Brandy's brother that could sing.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
And then what happened, Well.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Then he did up Kim k and deed her down,
and then he became really really really famous, like really
really really famous. My point of making that is Zion
probably will be st after after every woman that pays
attention to this story. Yeah, what in GE's name would
(17:09):
make an adult film star? Go get this man's name tattooed? Incursive,
real nice, real big on her face, and she ain't
bad and and she ain't bad looking. It ain't like
this was like like you look at like, oh, Zion,
(17:31):
what are you thinking? Like what are you doing?
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Like she ain't bad?
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Well maybe maybe if it doesn't work out for him
in basketball, there there is a place for him in
another industry. That's what I'll say.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Listen, he's got a couple hundred million in the bank,
he's got a pair of shoes that exploded while he
played a duke, and apparently.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
He's got an adult film star with a tattoo on
her face.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
She's got his name as a bed to show off
in our next flick. It's really something here, and.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
I hope it's a I hope it's a temporary tattoo. Man.
I hope that bad boy fades away. I hope it
fades away.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
I don't think it's going to just just this what
it is? Just this what it is? Yeah, that's a
that's the way that works. It is two pros and
a cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, it's
Savar Arrington Jonas Knox with that. You can listen to
this show as always on the iHeartRadio app. So we're
gonna have the usuals coming up later. On, we're gonna

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Two Pros and a Coming Joe Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington,
Jonas Knox with you Hare coming on. We'll call it
about twenty minutes from now here from the Tiraq dot
com studios, we are going to have somebody in the
world of sports. Who has been mocked, he has been
(19:38):
vilified or villainized, whatever it's called. How about you, He's
been made fun of and apparently he was right the
whole time. So we're gonna celebrate that individual coming up
here in about twenty minutes from now on FSR. Hey,
this socks stinks? Was this Andrew w h or whatever?
Speaker 2 (20:05):
We like and we like what we do. Whoa, whoa what?
Speaker 5 (20:18):
Huh so uh so uh LeVar Arrington, We've got ourselves
a little bit of an update.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Some news for you in the NFL when it comes
to a quarterback situation, talk to me, all right, According
to Tom Pallisero of NFL.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Network, because he wouldn't know, forty.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Nine Ers quarterback Brock Party, he is heading to Jacksonville.
Let's hope his flight wasn't delayed to work with a
private quarterback coach, a sports performance expert. And it's showing
that he is making progress on.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
His discovery faster than what was originally anticipating.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Yeah, and the feeling is this is a good sign
in hopes that he would be ready for the start
of the regular season.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Bro You know, y'all remember that time and period in
life where there were these two Olympians. One was an
American sweetheart, the other not so much, and both were
were medalist hopefuls, and then one felt as though there
(21:30):
would be too much competition. And then all of a sudden,
there comes this dude out of nowhere with a tyre
iron and then just takes it to Karragan's leg. Oh
it was Nancy Kerrigan and Tanya Hardy. I mean, Trey Lance,
if you're listening, you gotta figure something out here. Man.
(21:51):
You you can't let him get on that field before
you get on that field.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
By the way, Tanya Harding, yeah, misunderstood.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Well, we just had a segment where we talked about
tattoos on adult film stars. I mean, Tanya Harding took
her talents to the adult film industry as well.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
He doesn't you know at this point, Well.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
I don't think everybody, I would say, would have preferred
to have heard that about Nancy Kerrigan, but that never happened.
But she did get banged out on that, I mean
that godly pause that that guy did hit her her knee,
and and you know she was not able to compete.
(22:34):
You know, she was sitting there like why why.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
If you remember that. Why if you sit and if
you just think and say that story out loud to somebody. Now, So, yeah,
there was these two Olympic hopefuls and one of them
hired somebody to take a tire iron doing nothing.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Some people really believe in subscribe to when at all
means and any means necessary.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
You know, yeah, how bad you want it?
Speaker 2 (23:03):
How bad do you want to Trey Lance?
Speaker 1 (23:06):
You want it with closed casket, you want a dog? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (23:14):
So I oh day long.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
So moral of.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
The story is you think Trey Lance should hire somebody
to take out brock Perty's knees.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
You didn't hear me say that? Okay, because I do
not want to be held liable for if it were
to really happen. But tell me another way that uh
rock party doesn't start if he gets if he makes
it back healthy.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Look, I think the forty nine Ers quarterback situation is
the most fascinating storyline heading into the season. I think
from so many layers of you've got Trey Lance who
they've I mean they drafted away a or traded away
a ton to draft him. I mean all that draft capital,
the three first round picks, whatever it was like to
(23:59):
move all the way up there to take Trey Lance,
and he might never really get an opportunity because because
the last pick of the draft, yes, and he's got
the lead, he's he's in the driver's seat because everything
the Niners have said, everything John Lynch and and everything
(24:21):
that that Kyle Shanahan have said, has all been about
brock Party's our guy when he comes back. Brock perty
Be's healthy, He's our guy. And Trey Lance is sitting
there with all that draft capital that that they used
to acquire him and take him, and he really in
defensive Trey Lance never really got an opportunity because the
one game he got to start, he got to start
(24:42):
a couple of games. Jimmy Garoppolo was hurt, but that
was early everyone knew, so he got a little banged up.
But then last year he was the starter and the
only game he got a full run in was that
monsoon game in Chicago to open the season. Nobody looked
good neck it was like unforeseen, whether they've never seen
(25:03):
anything like.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
That.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Was the next week okay, So it's literally he had
one game in a monsoon and then week two he
got heard and that's it. So it's like everyone's talking about, Wow,
you mean brock Party is clearly the guy you have.
Like the Niners have no idea what Trey Lance is.
They don't know he's.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Here's the problem. Brock Party has played himself into those sentiments.
That isn't that isn't hypothetical, That isn't that isn't contingent
upon anything. He earned that right to be considered the
starter for this team, for this franchise. He carried them
(25:45):
back into uh, the playoff race, and as everyone would
say it, I mean, and it seemed like it was
a whole lot of passion and intensity. Not looking at
it from the reality of he got his ass knocked
out out of the game, But they looked at it
from the standpoint of if they had Brock Party in
that game, it would have been a different game for
(26:08):
San fran. Yeah, they weren't saying if Trey Lance was
in the game, it would have been a different game.
They were saying, if we would have had our man
Rock Party in that game, if he doesn't get knocked
out of that game, it's a totally different game. I
think that the players believe it's Brock Party. We know
the GM thinks it's Brock party. Now, the question is
(26:30):
what does Kyle Shanahan think, because if I can recall correctly,
I've never heard him come out and just flat out
say Brock Purdy is our guy.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Well, they've alluded to it, like they've said, yeah, he's
you know, if he's healthy and he's ready to go,
Brock has earned the right to be our starting quarterback.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
I would just say this, I think Kyle Shanahan is
probably planning on having to go with Trey Lance. I
wonder if this is a conversation because Trey Lance hasn't
looked good in OTA's I mean they did have OTAs
or or many camps by now.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
And he's all he's still recovering from his injury. I
mean he's more he's farther along than Brock Purtty is,
but he's so.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
We haven't seen him in practice either.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
They have, and they've said that he's looked better, he's
shown improvement, but it hasn't been this glowing support.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Like if if you're if you're hearing reports that say
he looks better and he looks improved, what are you
what are you basing that off of? What is that
looks better and he's improved. What what what does that
look like?
Speaker 1 (27:35):
George Kittle came out recently and said, you know, some
of the stuff that he struggled with before, he's not
struggling with as much now some of But like you
hear the like this is just to sum it up
because people have commented on this within the forty nine ers,
obviously John Lynch, Kyle Shanahan. The feeling you get is
Trey Lance, Yeah, definitely shown some improvement, and we're happy
(27:58):
for his improvement and success.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
It just sounds like you want to say but at
the end of everything you say about Trey Lance.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
It's true though, that's all the report said.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Again say it, and I'm sting.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
Everything about Trey Lance is so far, he's shown improvement
over where he was last year.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
But he's not brock party. Give me another one, give
me another.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
That's the overall sentiment.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Because you could, you could chop it up and present
it however you want to present it. But it just
sounds like at the end of it it needs to be.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
But he's not rocketing exactly. And and that's why that's
why this whole thing is talk about.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Now that first off, if you if you ever go
as high as as a Trey Lance goes. I find
it hard to say that you were a bust. You
just didn't live up to maybe what the hype or
the expectation of somebody at your draft position. But you
can always say JaMarcus Russ can always say this is
(29:02):
the number I went in the draft. He can always
say it. And for that you had to do something
that was everything but bust. You had to be far
from bus to be able to get that draft grade,
knowing how hard it is to get drafted to begin with.
So but talk about bus potential. That's a bust of
a pick.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
And you would assume in every other situation in the NFL,
you would assume if they committed that much to trade
up and draft him, that he would have. You know,
ty goes to whoever's got the most capital behind him,
and that would be Trey Lance. And the Niners are
saying everything, but so maybe they've seen something in practice
(29:46):
that would indicate to them, Yeah, as much as he's improved,
he's still not anything that we saw from brock Purty.
And maybe all of that is coming out in one
way or another through some of this messaging publicly. But
The idea that you know what Trey Lance is after
one game as a starter in a monsoon is crazy
(30:06):
to me, Like the whole thing is wild.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
No, I don't know that they know what they have.
I mean again, you know I always say this, This
is my saying. The beautiful thing about sports is that
you always, if you're in these situations, you always have
the opportunity to prove people wrong. But it sounds as
(30:31):
though brock Party not trying to have him, and good
for brock Party.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yeah that's great.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Brock Party can get himself back healthy and ready to
go again. He realizes that this is an opportunity that
he needs, not let Trey Lance ruin for him, because
let Trey Lance get in there and ball out. You
know what, Brock Party becomes mister irrelevant again. Great, I
would assume great trade value. I would assume the trade
(30:58):
value is there, or he's just's a dope ass backup
like he started off to beat.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Yeah, it's just the whole situation. Just to see Trey
Lance's career. And he comes in and he plays a
couple of games, you know, his rookie year because Jimmy
Garoppolo gets a little banged up and then finally you
hand the keys over. This is gonna be his real shot,
and the guy play plays in the monsoon and then gets.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
Hurt by the way. Another thing you have to deal
with in sports is the idea of you have all
this pressure on your neck because everybody thinks that somebody
else is better than you.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
Yeah, it's uh.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
As, the top pick for this team. You're sitting there
looking at it like, man, they just got rid of Garoppolo.
That I mean, that gives me an opportunity to play.
But this guy, this guy, they they really they really
like this other guy. And you gotta deal with that pressure.
You gotta look at your teammates. Your teammates is in
the locker room, like man, But when Brock Perdy gets
(31:59):
back and there's that guy in the locker room, believe that, Jonas,
you better have some thick skin because there is that
guy in the locker room that's gonna be like Brock, Hey,
bro bro Brock. So whenever whenever he's moving around, he's
got to see that the team, the army looks at
this general, not this one. They look at this one
(32:20):
as he's the guy that's the leader that becomes a
difficult environment to have success in. So if Trey Lads
has success, you believe me, it will have been thoroughly earned.
He would have pushed through a lot of adversity to
have success as the starter of this team.

Speaker 8 (35:02):
Is that's right, that's right now, you know, with all
the sports betting going on, all the partnerships with all
the major.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
Yes, uh, I don't even I don't even say that.
That's not even a line in the.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Movie making up the line. I remember, like, what script
did you get, LeVar?
Speaker 2 (35:26):
I remember Hill?
Speaker 4 (35:28):
It's anyway.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
The scrap Oh cool. So people people.
Speaker 8 (35:40):
Are wondering, you know, is Pete Rose is gonna get
into the Hall of Fame now because everybody's okay with
betting and you know, of course the answer is no.
But I didn't even I didn't even know this. When
Ohio legalized sports betting. The first person in the entire
state to place a legal wager within its borders was
Pete Rose.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Because he's making so much money off of everything everything
else he does as a Hall of Famer, that of Fame.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Red I don't know how much he's making selling his
autographs at the Forum shops of Caesars.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
And bab bro he makes bank. I mean, look, they
have him at every show. He does every show.
Speaker 8 (36:17):
Well, I don't know if he's gonna make as much
as he might on this bet that he placed. It
was a publicity stunt that was orchestrated at the Hard
Rocks Sports Book in Cincinnati, and he put one hundred
dollars down on the Cincinnati Reds to win it all.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
Oh, I hope it happens.
Speaker 8 (36:32):
At the time, they were listed at plus ten thousand
and so yes. Now they are currently sitting at top
of the Nlcentral, Like.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
If Pete Rose should walk up to if he does,
if he wins this bet and the Reds win it all,
he should walk up and just have somebody take a
picture of him grabbing his crotch with one hand and
holding up all the money he won in the other hand,
right in front of the Hall of Fame in Cooper's
town and just saying I got your Hall of Fame
here and then just walk away on these This is like, man,
(37:04):
what a what a fish? Is the perfect ending to
one of the longest running sports debates we've ever had.
I hope the Reds win the World Series because of this.
It's not gonna happen, but I hope they do. All Right,
what else we're getting?
Speaker 4 (37:16):
Well, I am heading to Las Vegas later this week.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
There's too I'll be there.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Stunning announcement.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Yeah, I'll be there.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
I'm going on Thursday.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
I'm going tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Nice are you pay? You're gonna play the WSOP?
Speaker 2 (37:29):
What's that?
Speaker 4 (37:30):
The World Tiers a poker?
Speaker 2 (37:32):
No?
Speaker 8 (37:32):
Oh, that's why I'm going. But anyway, so I thought,
I I like this story here.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Thank you you're lying. It's an interesting one.
Speaker 8 (37:43):
Twenty three year old man posed as the owner of
the Circa Hotel and casino and called the casino cage
and somehow got multiple payments of hundreds of thousands of
dollars that was supposed that he said was an emergent
urgency payment to the fire department, so he got away.
(38:04):
He had them delivered on off site drop offs. He
got away with one point one million dollars.
Speaker 1 (38:10):
Oh wow, if at this point in the game, you're
you're you're able to fool Vegas, you should get to
keep half the money. Like, do all the prison time
you want, but he should be able to keep half
the money.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
Maybe he was telling the truth. At the time, they.
Speaker 8 (38:25):
Only recovered eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars, so he
so he put away one hundred and fifty grand and
just said, you know, I'll come back to this later.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Perhaps God, that's wonderful.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Good for him.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Heartwarming story.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Who
