Speaker 3 (02:15):
I know I am.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
I got my tragger grill, Fellas, and you know what,
I'm feeling pretty pretty pumped up and pretty happy about that,
all right. But something else that's hot other than my
grill is this college football.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
This NCAA.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Reported violations Jeff one hundred and seventy five reported violations
seventeen active investigations into sports gambling. Now, while I will
say one hundred and seventy five violations sounds like a lot,
and seventeen active investigations sounds like a lot. In college,
(03:02):
is that considered a large number?
Speaker 4 (03:05):
No, that's like two football teams like worth of players. No,
it's not a lot. I think it's jarring because it's
just you know, these numbers are made public now, but
that's not I mean in all college sports. I mean
that's like that would imagine as one percent of one
athletic departments, right, but it's not that many.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Kids, right, Okay, So with that being said, nonetheless, gambling
violations being reported for college, yeah, is listen, it's nothing new, right.
We remember even they made a movie Blue Chips with
Shaquille O'Neill and Penny Hardaway and all those how that
(03:45):
you know, guys were getting paid to point shave and
different things like that. But just the whole conversation that
has been swirling and circulating around about NFL players getting
like some of these guys lost their jobs and probably
we won't even be able to play again based off.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Of gambling violations.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Now if it comes out of that seventeen, that it's
a player of significance, you know, somebody that's going to
impact Georgia or somebody that's going to impact Ohio State
or Michigan. Now, if it's big name players that start
to come out and be named in that seventeen, that
I think it takes on a different a different type
(04:28):
of tone.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
But for now, you know, how how do you see
how do you view.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Violations and investigations popping up into gambling in the college ranks?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
All right, so let's be very clear on this. It's important.
This is an important distinction here. You mentioned blue chips, Right,
that was a point shaving scandal. Right, players, A player
on the team wasn't players because it wasn't Shack or
Penny or any of the new kids. It was a
player for the previous year, right, who was point shaving?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Right?
Speaker 4 (04:58):
And in basketball typically had it's done? Is you you
manipulate the over under the total?
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Right?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Because you can do that by as a as a player.
I think basketball is the easiest sport. If you ever
want to fix the sport, it's basketball. You know, you
you miss a few shots, you turn the ball over.
It doesn't even look that different. These violations that are
being discussed are not point shaving violations, right, that would
be a bigger news, that would make national news. It's
players in states that have legal sports wagering. There's about
(05:27):
thirty of them now and there's even more my state
North Carolina. I'm shocked where we're finally getting it at
the beginning of the year. It's players that are just
wagering on sports, right and n C DOUBLEA. You don't
have to wager on sports while you're in college, makes
makes total sense. I understand the rule. The thing about it,
LeVar is players have to be responsible for their own
(05:51):
actions here and you know the rules, like the rules
are stated very plainly for you at any of these
compliance meetings, but also just common sense. Right, you can't
wage your own sports you have at your school. And
I don't like when I look when we played, obviously
there was no legal sports gamble. You could have gambled
I guess with a bookie or someone found some other
(06:11):
way to to you know, to get your you know,
get your fix in. But I don't get the fascination
with you know, the risk of losing your scholarship, of
losing your opportunity to play sports to wager minimal amount
of money on games. Right, every time we hear about NFL,
even NFL players wagering on games that they've gone in trouble,
(06:31):
it's like twenty five dollars wagers, right, fifty dollars wagers.
You're not getting back a lot of money there, and
the risk to me is not worth the reward. These
gambling companies and this is the way it should be. Right,
These gambling companies are able to track make who makes
their wagers. And the reason why it's good that they
can do this, LeVar is they can track if there's
(06:53):
an abnormal amount of money on a game. For example,
the story came out a couple months ago where the
Alabama baseball coach right told a friend about a pitching
injury presumably because it starting pitcher did't pitch in the game,
to go bet on LSU Right, And the story came
out a couple of days ago. The coach's friend went
to the counter and and and and wanted to put
one hundred thousand dollars on a college baseball game, which
(07:15):
is which is a flag. But it's good we have
these these you know, these these ways to flag bets
like this because again, the integrity of the games that
we care about most, and we don't want players to
to be fixing games, which I don't think is happening
at all. But players, Look, guys, I gamble a lot
now that I'm done playing. It's a lot different now.
(07:36):
But when I play LeVar, I never thought about, like, man,
it'd be so much better in my life, like a
gamble in my sport. Like that just seems. It seems
odd to me that you have all this focus on
on you know, integrity and sport, but then also want
to gamble on it. So this is this is what
was gonna happen obviously when you have legal sports wagering
in certain states. But it's not. No one's fixing games.
(07:57):
So if you're listen, just just don't do it. Just
wait so you're done playing. Okay, wait till you're done playing,
and you can gamble all you want. It's not worth it.
I don't want to stand even the NFL side, like
Isaiah Rodgers is never playing the NFL again. He bet
on a player on his team to get a certain
number of yardage. Uh, He's never He's never played the
(08:18):
NFL again for a thousand dollars wager guys making meal
mid six figures. He's never playing the NFL again because
he decided to waste over one single bet. It's not
worth it, guys. And I think that you know, there's
nothing that the NCAA has to do or teams have
to do. Sometimes of are it's up to the personal
responsibility of the individual to follow the rules. You know,
(08:42):
we we we want to blame the NFL. And they're
not telling the players know that they are. They are.
We've been in those meetings. Obviously changed now, but there's
a sign in the locker room about gambling. Not many
signs in the locker room. It's what about gambling and
buckling your helmet correctly, it was like the two the
two big posters in the locker room and and and
players have to take responsibility of a NAA player. This
(09:04):
is on you man. You know the rules, the time
promise you your school has told you the gambling rules.
They think they're arrogant and not gonna get caught. And
I don't think it's I don't think it's a big deal.
Obviously the number sounds big. Oh, it's scary. They're just
wagering on sports like like like me and you would.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
You know, Jeff.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
When I saw the story, I immediately I immediately thought
about my time in college.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Now.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Things seem to be dramatically changing in the landscape of
how athletes are coached, how they're treated, how they're handled.
I mean, with all of this nil stuff going on
in the portal, it's just it's a very volatile time
in college athletics, and I start thinking, well, how can
(09:54):
that play a part in what's going on. We had
the conversation. I don't know if it was yesterd Day's
show or a prior show to it, but we started
talking about how governing athletes and governing players has to
be a form of art in order to keep your
players in your school. Now, I would suspect that of
(10:22):
those seventeen that are under investigation, that they are very,
very spoilt and very detached individuals. That's what I would suspect.
I would suspect that they probably probably don't deal with discipline. Well,
this is just me, just suspecting. And I don't know
(10:45):
even if it's a casual approach to it. To think
when I was in school, you could become a casualty
for missing class. You could become a casualty for being
late to a meeting. And when I say a casualty,
I'm talking first it's the doghouse, which is you're getting
(11:08):
you're getting you know, Saturday or Sunday, Sunday conditioning and
stuff like that always touch with you today, which which
you know you and I both know, Jeff. That's ultimately,
they're putting you in a place, in a space where
they're testing you to see if you're going to quit,
because sometimes they want you to quit. They don't they
(11:30):
they're not going to send you away, but they're going
to make you quit. And then if you don't quit,
but you continue to still mess up, then that's when
it turns into you're going to get your scholarship taken
away and you're going to get sent home, or you're
going to just be forced to leave and transfer out.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
That's how it happens to me.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
If you get caught up in a gambling charge, that's
way more egregious than missing class or missing breakfast. Like imagine,
I used to wake up. I used to I used
to go do my workout early in the morning, try
to try to go back to my room and get
at least maybe an hour to forty five minutes of
(12:14):
sleep before we had to go to mandatory breakfast. Could
you imagine not being able to sleep well because you
have to make breakfast because it's mandatory, like it's it's
so there were so many rules, and there was so
many things that were governing our time and our energy
(12:34):
and our schedule. To think about the fact that now
gambling is now added into the scenario of things that
have to be monitored and governed by the school. I mean,
things are our our climate is changing, our culture is changing,
and it's changing so rapidly, and I just wonder do
(12:56):
we do we run the risk of getting to a
point of where the technology and the opportunities because quite frankly,
like you said, you had to have.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
A bookie or some some sort you don't you didn't.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Have access to to being able to just do certain
things that we're going to get you in trouble. And
now in this society and this culture, this time, and
and and our you know, our world, you do like
the technology is right at your fingertips, and some people
treat things like candy crush or or like any of
(13:31):
these other games, it's just something to pass the time,
it's something to do. I think it's very I think
hearing these these seventeen investigations, in the one hundred plus
violations being reported, I think it's very dangerous. I think
it's a very dangerous time. And it's going to be
(13:52):
hard if guys, if you start seeing marquee guys that
that that violate, if this becomes a true and then
now it has to become the conversation of how do
you govern that? Because you're not paying these kids? So
are you going to just kick the number one quarterback
off of your team? Probably so? But men, what happens there?
(14:16):
How do you govern them from there? Where are they
able to go and play? Are they suspended in the
NCAA ranks? Like how does all of this work? There's
so many different layers to this conversation, very complicated, very complex.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
If you asked me.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Yeah, I don't think we're going to find out it's
a starting quarterback of a major college because they're already
getting millions of dollars at nil and like you right,
like this is like they're not wagering one hundred dollars
in a game. I don't think it's it's.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Going to be.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
You know, we sawt Iowa. It was like the wrestlers, right,
it was like other. It was like other. You know,
other players who who were you? Just not You're not
as big of a brand as the quarterback. So I
don't think it's it's that big of a concern from
that angle. But yeah, I mean, if one of those
guys is doing it, they're gonna get popped. I mean
they're gonna get in trouble for it. And again, it's
not worth Juice's not whereas juice is not worth the
(15:06):
squeeze man. And again I understand you're exactly right. Collegereble
and collegeports have changed so much. But the players have
to you know, the players have to take responsibility here.
You know the rules. You're being tracked, man, like they're
tracking you all these apps like don't be a dummy
if if it really is important to you to place wagers,
(15:27):
like if if it matters to you that much, There's
so many ways to do it without doing it yourself, man, like,
come on, be smarter. So it to me, this is
like a they used to. I think it's still drug
testedt NFL combine now even though they don't drug test.
I don't think players anymore much in the NFL, and
it was always basically a mental test, right, a competency test.
(15:50):
If you failed a drug test to the combine, you
knew when it was happening. You the exact that you
were being drug tested. Don't fail a drug test, right, Like,
you knew that. Do whatever you smoke eleven months out
of the year, you just can't smoke the month heading
into the combine, right, right, you knew the exact date
of the test, you knew what was happening. And it's
(16:10):
a competency test. It's a it's a street smarts test.
It's can you follow the rules enough? You know, if
you were a college athlete, if you set up an
account on any of these of these websites, of these apps,
they're going to know who you are and what wages
you're placing. Have a friend do it, have a relative
like the LeVar there if you really want to gamble
(16:33):
in which again I would stress don't do it in
college you But if you if you have to do it,
if it's like you gotta gamble this game, have someone
else do it for you. Man, It's just it's just
a test of competency. Of can you can you know
you you know the test is coming? Are you prepared?
And I think that a lot of players obviously what
one hundred and is players man like, come on, guys,
(16:55):
come on, come on, get it right.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yeah, to me, it is crazy. And you know what
else is crazy that I didn't start to show off
with it's a football Friday.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Friday night?
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Is of am on Friday? Yeah, it's a ball Friday.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
Do it? Yamble on it? Nah, don't do that.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Oh yeah, football Friday. I'm so sorry that I didn't
do it on time, but maybe it was perfect to
do it at that time because you know what, well,
Jonas isn't in to do it, so but we still
did it in his honor. So it is a football Friday.
We're gonna take a quick break. Coming up next on
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Live from the
(17:44):
tyraq dot com studios. Could the forty nine ers be
the best roster to ever win a Super Bowl without
an elite quarterback?
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Hmmm?
Speaker 1 (17:54):
A couple of teams' names come to mind when I
think about that.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
We'll talk about that.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
We'll get to a lot more on the other side
of the Break's two Pros and a Cup of Joe.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Fox Sports Radio will be right back.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio IP.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Singing Now on the Wall, Welcome back in it is
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Yeah, great great mornings,
Great day, got some great topic. He's got my man
Jeff Schwartz with me.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Yo yo, Jeff.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
It's it's uh, it's This is an interesting topic of
sorts to discuss. Can the forty nine ers be the
best roster ever to win a Super Bowl without an
elite quarterback? I find it to be pretty pretty interesting
(19:01):
just based upon the thought process to two teams come
to mind very very quickly. But there there are three
obviously that that you could throw out there. The first
one that comes to mind is the what is the
eighty five Bears?
Speaker 4 (19:19):
Yep?
Speaker 3 (19:20):
That one.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
And while I think McMahon was was a pretty cool personality,
I think we would all agree that it was the
defense that was. Yeah, the catalysts of that team, and
you had some pretty pretty impressive players on that offense
as well. But then the next one, the second, well,
(19:43):
the second one that comes to mind is obviously the
two thousand the Ravens that that Ravens team was yep,
I mean, that's just phenomenon. It's hard to say it's
the most phenomenal d but it just kind of seems
like it's possibly the most phenomenal defense ever in the
(20:07):
history of the game. I don't know, some would debate it.
And then there's the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, of course, and
that was two thousand and what three two?
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Okay, three?
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Yeah, And that was so Brad Johnson was the quarterback
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he was a really
really fine quarterback at the pro level. And then you
had Trent Dilfer and Baltimore as the quarterback that year.
And I don't think anyone would make the mistake of
thinking that Trent Dilpher was a franchise quarterback in this league.
(20:41):
So now they're having the conversations about that possibly being
the scenario for this upcoming year's forty nine ers, that
they could actually win a Super Bowl and we don't
even know who their quarterback is coming into the season.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
I find that difficult. But what's your thoughts on it?
Speaker 4 (21:03):
I think the question is the more, are the Niners
the best rosters that ever win a Super Bowl? Like
not even that, like the best roster with the worst
corp of situation ever. Think about this, they have Okay,
they have the best stuff tackling football. Okay, the best
pass rusher in football, right, the best linebacker in football, possibly,
(21:27):
the best running back in football, the best slash guy
kind of like a Deebo Samuel right, kind of a
combination running back ish wide receiver right. Best. Last, Okay,
they have one of the better safeties in football in Hafungo.
Very young safety, but very good. Right, he's gonna be
make He's a possible All Pro this year. Think about that.
They have the best player at multiple high leverage, high
(21:50):
leverage positions right off to tackle, pass rusher, and yet
it's like, well, yeah, they don't have a quarterback. I
don't think it'll win a Super Bowl. Like it's nuts, right,
I can't recall even the teams that you just mentioned
didn't have the best player every position, like like like
the Niners, Doud Baltimore Ravens were close, right, aug did
(22:11):
ray Lewis ed reed? Like you know, they were closer than.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
But they didn't really have it on offense, right, Like
they had Shannon Sharp at tight end, he's older. You know,
they had what what was it would have been Travis
Taylor and uh who would have been the receivers on.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
That that team?
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Uh, Jermaine Lewis was was like the punt returner, but
they didn't have was pretty good though after receiver's position.
They didn't have I think was Derek Mason on that team.
I don't know that he was didn't have a bow,
but they had they had Jamal Lewis in the backfield,
I do know that, but they you know, yeah, they
(22:49):
didn't have.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
A different era. It was also a different era like
you did. Us didn't have like you know, it was
a it was a run first era.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
It was a run first era, but they were able
to run first through the AFC North.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Yeah, and now that's that's difficult.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
And then the Hall of Fame left tackle, which obviously
the forty nine ers will have as well. So you know,
it's sort of sort of the same thing. It's close,
it's close enough for the discussion, but nonetheless it's pretty wild, right,
Like the Niners have this whole offense and defense that's
so elite, and yet it's they they have either Brock
pretty off an injury, and I think Brock party will
not play as well as your guys. Look, there's one
(23:24):
Tom Brady. Okay, that's it. We just stop comparing every
late round draft pick who plays decently well with Tom Brady.
All right, he's not gonna be tom Brady. All right,
there's one Tom Brady. Tom Brady is coming gone. He's retired. Now,
that's it. There's no there's no more tom Brady's. So
I think it's it's unfair to brock Pray to compare
him to Tom Brady. Then you have Trey Lance, who
(23:46):
you know, the potential's there and we all agree, but
we have not seen him play long enough even determine
if he if he can do it. And then Sam Darnold,
who I think anyone in this offense will will play
well as we see with with any quarterback who's had
in this offense. But you know, Donald's obviously not the
answer to a long term success, you know, you know
in the NFC conference, that's it. Like they don't have
(24:08):
and Trey Lanes are supposed to be the guy, right.
They spent a lot of draft capital on him, and
unfortunately he doesn't seem to appear to be that guy.
And they build a great roster, like they have all
the pieces in place to making this work, and they
just don't. And it's wild because their roster gives them
the best opportunity to win in the NFC Conference. I mean,
(24:30):
if you put Dak Prescott on that team, you put
you put Jingle and Hurts on that roster, I mean,
you put you put I even Kirk Cousins on that roster,
like you have yourself a legitimable contender, and in my opinion,
without that quarterback, you really don't. I don't buy LeVar
this brock perty year or two turns into like an
all pro type guy. It's it's just it's not what
(24:52):
I believe. I don't know. Maybe you do, and I'm
wrong on this one, but I just don't see that happening.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Uh. I'm curious.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
See it's it's the it's the injury part that that
threw it all off to me. If brock Perdy doesn't
have to deal with the whole elbow situation and seeing
where he's at health wise, I gotta say I honestly
was very impressed with the way he played and and
(25:19):
if he were healthy throughout this offseason and coming into
the season, I would say that he would have the
opportunity to be on a higher trajectory than what I
have him on now. But I think the injury kind
of maybe derailed my, you know, my belief in the
fact that he can be that guy for them coming
(25:43):
off of that type of you know, time off. But
I'm not a believer in Lance. I'm not I'm not
a believer that he's going to be the answer for
this team. But this is why you lace him up.
He is a top draft pick, so he came out
highly recommended, high saw after and he has an opportunity
here if party doesn't make it back in time, which
(26:07):
people are saying he might make it back in time.
But even if he does make it back in time, again,
I'm not certain how he's going to play. So Trey
Lance still might get an opportunity to play anyway, depending
on how Brock Purdy comes back and plays. But I
think when you're looking at it from I guess a
more critical a critical eye in terms of what the
(26:27):
roster and the personnel like shapes up to be. The
reason why I find this to be so intriguing is
those teams that we mentioned and that we named, all
you have to do is is basically not mess it up. Yeah,
you know, you're in a position where the defense in
which I mean they ended up losing to Kansas City anyway,
(26:50):
the year they made it to the Super Bowl, but
it was kind of the same thing.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
I mean.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Jimmy Garoppolo to me is a good, fine football player.
I do not think he's reason why they lost that game.
He's part of it. Yes, he missed a big throw
in the game, but it was a two possession game
and late in the game, and that defense, that daunting defense,
gave up, you know, to two scores to lose the game.
(27:16):
I think that the defense let them down. I don't
think that's something that would have happened with the eighty
five Beers with the two thousand rated went to two
thousand and three, the you know, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
I know, if you to up to here, but you
were the second pick overall, Trail Answers, the third pick overall.
I was drafted like two forty ones. I don't have
this experience that you have. How much mental like pressure
is there with that draft pick on Trey Lance to
kind of return healthy and play up to what people
expect him to be.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
I mean, I think there's always going to be pressure
when you go high, and there's always It's interesting because
when you're a high draft pick, not only is their
pressure for you to play, there's a pressure for you
to be the best. That's the difference if you if
you go on a different round or later round, they
just want to see you be able to play like
(28:11):
did one of our did did our seventh round draft
pick pan out?
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Is he on the field.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
But if you're a number one overall pick for for
a team, they want you to be a difference maker
and whatever it is that they've gotten to know of you.
Like for me, it was if I didn't make an
emphatic play, it just seemed like I didn't have a
(28:36):
good game, Like if I didn't dive over a line,
if I didn't hurdle somebody, if I didn't do something
that was outrageously out of the norm, it just seemed like,
you know, oh well he had he had nine tackles, today.
You know, it's like all right, you know it wasn't
it kind of you're you're measured in your weight on
(28:57):
a different scale. And that's it's interesting because if Trey
Lance plays like brock Purty last year, is.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
That good enough?
Speaker 1 (29:07):
It might not have been good enough based upon where
he was drafted.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
Well that's the thing, right, So like your people, it's
a good it's good point that the LeVar is making
here because the expectations on your career are often tied
to where you're drafted.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Absolutely fair unfair.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
Right, And so you know I was I was a
seventh round pick and I ended up playing eight years
and it's like, well, great, dang first round pick playing
eight year. Sometimes people are like, ah, you know, you
don't win a super Bowl. You know, it's a lot different, right,
And so with Trey Lance, you have a player who's
drafted third overall at quarterback, like you're expected to win
(29:46):
a championship. Fair unfair that those the expectations placed on
you when you're drafted. And I do feel like a
lot of times, you know it's it's players, they understand
those expectations, but it's a little unfair. You don't choose
where they're drafted right, and some players get overdrafted and
they get drafted too high and the expectations aren't really
(30:08):
fit for their talent level. This is part of sport, right,
It's part of life, yes, and you know players at
times have a hard time kind of not understanding that
but playing their career around those expectations.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yeah, indeed they do.
Speaker 1 (30:21):

Speaker 1 (30:43):
I don't know that the forty nine ers are going
to win as Super Bowl, but I know they're going
to be really good. And speaking of being really good,
let's get a trending from our guy, Eddie Garcia.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
What you got my guy?
Speaker 4 (30:55):
All right?
Speaker 5 (30:56):
Thanks, Lavart. We'll get you updated on news from the NFL,

For NFL quarterback Philip Rivers is staying busy in retirement.
He and his wife Tiffany have announced that they are
currently expecting their tenth child, a baby boy. Congratulations to
the Rivers family.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
On number ten, who has more, Shawn Alexander or Philip Rivers.
I think Shawn Alexander has them beat.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
Doesn't he He might?
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Actually, yes, I think Shawn Alexander is the winner of.
Speaker 8 (35:38):
But yes twelve seid.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Hey, man, hey to you guys.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
I I my wife and I can't do that. Why
you start stunning, Jeff, start kid, kid going, I can't
even fathom twelve kids. We'll go with two where we're set.
We're set, and a girl. We're good to go.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
This one showed me. Oh my, oh my, oh my,
six oh my, oh my.
Speaker 4 (36:13):
Luckily he made billion of dollars.
Speaker 6 (36:15):
That's expensive a man, ten kids, Like, do you understand
that you can coach against your wife in a five
on five basketball game?
Speaker 2 (36:28):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (36:29):
Yeah you can. Also, we were one away from a
full football team.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
I mean somebody said.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
He could be the quarterback and they can play the
other positions, and you.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Got to start an eleven yep.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Oh man, my dad comes from a big family. But
there they were from down south, so you know, I
could go into the reasons as to why there was
ten of them, but it might not be received the
right way. But but just know that we we owned
a farm, a tobacco farm, and well, you know, the
(37:04):
more boys you had, the more tobacco you could, you know,
get down and.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
Pool down for you know, no charge. Uh.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
But anyways, that's that's an interesting story. Shouts out to you.
More power to you, Phillip Rivers. Uh, you would assume
now he's got a great babysitting uh, babysitting roster, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Probably imagine these babysitters.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Right, Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
I would assume the oldest ones aren't even in the
house anymore by this. By this time, they're probably graduated
high school and off the college. Some of them might
even be adults by now. I mean, that's you're talking about.
This is probably what he's been. He's been around a while.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Phil forty Is he about forty or is the older
than forty?
Speaker 1 (37:49):
He's probably right around forty forty one maybe yet young?
Speaker 4 (37:54):
Yeah, you have kids, off.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
He's the daddy. Yes he is. He's Yes, he is. Okay, Lee,
what else Let's get off of this one.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
Guys.
Speaker 8 (38:03):
We've talked a lot about the Jets being selected or
should I say, forced into hard knocks. Well ahead of that,
they have signed all Pro defensive star Quentin Williams to
a new deal four years, ninety six million with sixty
six guarantee. That's the most in Jets franchise history and
make some second highest paid if you look at averaged
right behind Aaron Donald. So yeah, goodrrections to Quinn.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
Yeah, good for him. My first thought is when I
saw this yesterday as a chief span, is Chris Jones
about to get paid because they're you know, they're in
a little bit of a contract scalemate and now this
is out, you know he'll get the money that he deserves,
which is about thirty thirty million dollars.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Well, quinnen, he's a baller and he's probably gonna have
a really really big year. So but you know what,
so is Chris, So it should be fun to watch.
But congratulations to Quinn.
Speaker 8 (38:57):
Guys, in case you miss it Draft Day. On the
NFL Draft Day, oftentimes the girlfriend's cap capture the headlines. Well,
Lill will Levis's girlfriend, get Duddy, she she captured a
lot of people's attention with her tiktoks. I guess is
what the kids use nowadays. Well, Burger King also took
notice and has signed a lucrative deal with her. She's
(39:18):
grown in popularity, more than doubling her social media presence. Again,
congratulations to Giat Duddy, will Levis's girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
I mean, what what type of deal is she doing
with Burger King.
Speaker 8 (39:30):
You know, I'm trying to figure out the specifics those
are leaking as we speak, but she's still no no
dollar amount has been given out or what's going on,
just saying that it's a lucrative deal with Burger King.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
I mean, every Burger King needs a burger maybe.
Speaker 4 (39:51):
I guess all right, good, I mean all right, I
mean I'm all about that will make as much more.
And he's like, get in life.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Was there any products that they sold that like had
queen in it?
Speaker 3 (40:07):
Like was it a frosty or was it?
Speaker 4 (40:10):
I was there at Burking in that many years. I
do not know.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
I mean, growing up, I like Burger king Berger's the
best because they were flame broiled, you know, flame flame grilled.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
I'm just saying I ate a lot of Burking as
a kid, I just haven't had any probably as a results.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Those whoppers they sure were good. Let's just doesn't mean amazing.
The double cheeseburger was really good. I don't know. That's
that's interesting. I'm waiting to see what that's going to be.
So let's check that out. But until then, we're going
