(01:14):
I share with you guys the bad news first before
we get to the good news?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:18):
You ready for this?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Sure? All right? Yeah? What's up?

Speaker 4 (01:21):
All right? So here's the bad news. I am doing
what many people across the country are doing. Ripped up
my powerball ticket, you know, played. But here's the good news.
Los Palmitas mini market in southern California is where one

(01:44):
single ticket was sold and one over one billion dollars
in the power ball.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
So somebody out there, probably in the southern California area
unless they were traveling through, went to a mini market
in Los Angeles, bought one ticket and just won themselves
one billion dollars. And they still haven't claimed the prize
because they have no idea, no clue what's going on. So,
if you're one of those people listening on the blowtorch
AM five to seventy LA Sports right now just wants

(02:16):
you to know if you want to kick back a
little bit of something for us for letting you know,
to check your ticket. If you went to Los Palmita's
mini market, we'd appreciate it. So congratulations one billion dollars
Rich or whoever that person is. Geez, you imagine that
waking up on a Thursday and going, I just got
a billion dollars. What does that end up being? Like
five hundred million Brady after.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, probably like six hundred million after taxes and had
to pay It depends on if they haven't like paid
out one in a lump sum, which I would always advise,
or if it's like through an annuity so you get
a per period of time.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Oh could you ever spend all that?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Oh? You could do it. I think you could do it.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
I mean the first thing you'd end up doing is
you could just you buy a sports franchise.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
That's true.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
Have you one way of doing Tyson spent four hundred,
yeah a million, if y'all recall I mean he blew
through four hundred.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
You could do it.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
If if you've listen, if you don't understand the value
of a dollar, you can definitely lose it pretty quickly.
It's the one time expenses like you start splurging, you
start doing things that that you really believe are just
kind of. You know, you're having a good time with it,
and you're doing what you want because you have money,

(03:27):
But then you start to realize that there are a
lot of extra fees connected to the things that you
did because you have a lack of understanding as to
what comes along with some of the things that you
make purchases on well.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Right, it's like buying a really really expensive house. It's like, well, yeah, okay,
I can afford this, but can you afford to take
care of the.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
House in years? Yeah, I'm going to make car like
you get call.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
I just felt like getting me another Landbow, Like okay,
you gotta get some tires from tire rack. Yeah, you know,
the engine is going out. You can't just go around
the corner to Jiffy lou with your Lamborghini that you
have right now, you know, you got to find out
where you got to go and then how much does
that cost?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
So I'm just sad.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
You could, in theory, definitely run through four hundred five
hundred million dollars, even though it sounds crazy to think
that you could, but you could.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Yeah I couldn't. You could, I really couldn't. I just look,
I would still drive the same car, the same Sanford
and Sun truck.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
Well, I mean that's your prerogative, but I mean you
should live a little. I mean you do only as
far as I know. You only get one. You know,
you get one go at life. You might as well
do a few things that you like.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
You know, simple man, hard, hot lunch, failed guy Brady
knows that.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
But if you if you want a billion dollars and
you get five hundred million of it, you know you
could take just take a million of it and be
a douche like all the way, Like, just be as
crazy and as reckless as you want to be.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Just take one of them. Well, I would advise that,
just one.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Just take one, you know, going to strip club, throw
up a million dollars, don't you?

Speaker 4 (05:15):
I mean, right now, you know, let's see what kind
of crack reckless?

Speaker 5 (05:23):
John Moran showed you what what a room looks like
with a couple thousand dollars, you know, covering up the room,
going there with a million?

Speaker 4 (05:30):
How you how good are the narcotics at one million dollars?
One million dollar mark? Like, how good are they?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Like Scrooge McDuck up in that strip club.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
I'll be swimming in that joint, you see people backstroking
towards you all kinds of stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah, well, I think money rafts, you know.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
You know, I think maybe at some point maybe the
NFL p A might want to consider, you know, buying
out their president. You know, maybe that maybe that could
be a move. Because j C. Tretder, he was on
Ross Tucker's podcast recently talking about, you know, just sort
of the issue with running backs not getting what they're
worth and all that, and he offered up, you know,

(06:06):
the potential and some advice for how to handle this situation.
Here was j C. Trender.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
You need to try to create as much leverage as
you possibly can in any situation. And that's the tough
thing with the franchise tag or being restricted to movement,
as it decreases your leverage. But then you have to
find creative ways to build leverage elsewhere.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
And I think we've seen issues now.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
I don't think anybody would ever say they were fake injuries,
but we've seen players who didn't want to be where
they currently are have injuries that made them unable to
practice and play. But you're not able to get fined,
and you're not able to be punished for not reporting.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
So there are issues like that.

Speaker 6 (06:46):
I don't think I'm allowed to ever recommend that, but
at least publicly. But I think each player needs to
find a way to build up leverage to try to
get a fair deal. And that's really what all these
guys are looking for is to be compensated.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
It fairly problem solved, just to start taking injuries. I
mean it feels like that. I mean, that's a easy
solutionnaire like that seems like that's where we're a.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Look, this is it's a simple conversation in some ways
and it's complicated in others. Right, I mean we've we've
heard other people discuss this. Right now, the running back
position just does not have any leverage, but you could
make the case that, I mean, there's other players right
now who are trying to exercise what little leverage they have.

(07:29):
Right Zach Martin has come out and said he feels
like he's underpaid, you know, being the top guard in
the league. I think most would would agree. I mean,
Madden would agree. He's got a ninety nine rating, you know,
so there's that if you want to use that as
a data point, but you.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Know he's being paid.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I think six and a half million less than the
top guard, which is Chris Linstrom with the Atlanta Falcons
in the league right now. And he's saying to himself,
man like I should be compensated more, and he's going
about it by saying maybe he's not going to show
up to training camp, and very similar to say Kwan
when he's talking about, hey, I'm going to show them
what I'm worth by not being there. That's really all

(08:07):
the leverage you have as a player is you being
able to say to them, if you want to find
someone else to replace me, good luck, and you could
pay less for them, but they're not going to be
as good as I am, and our team will not
be as good as we would be if I was
in there.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
And that's the that's that you know, opportunity cost, that's.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
The gap of what you get between that star player
and the next guy who's trying to replace him.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
And any business, as Albert kind of touched on, will
tell you, you're.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Always trying to find the most talented people for as
cheap as possible, Like that's just capitalism, that's just how
this whole system works. And it's no different than the NFL.
The difference is there's just not many mechanisms that are
in place to allow players or even in the NFLPA
to exercise leverage, which without going through a really painful process,

(08:55):
and that's potentially upsetting fans. That's you know, going on strike.
If you're talking about the players union, that's sitting out
right like almost like a little mini strike. If you're
an individual player, it's uncomfortable. You were at Saquon talking
about he does want to do it. No one wants
to not play the game they love and be able
to make millions of.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Dollars doing it.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
But there also comes a time where you're saying, like, man,
I should be getting more for putting myself in this
position of risk. But unfortunately the NFLPA has time and
time again, at least under de Marie Smith back when
he was the executive director.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Now it's was a Lloyd Howell Junior.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
I believe he's recently replaced him. They haven't done a
good job of saying these are the two singular issues
that we all agree on and that we all need
to get behind, and instead they've gone for you know,
weed incramentful. Sure that's one of them, but like six
or seven things where you've incrementally got a little better

(09:53):
right or tried to claw back some of what we
lost as players of twenty eleven.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
That's why I say we And that's the hard part
is listening to it. It's like, look at the owners.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Every single time they come to the negotiating table for
a collective bargaining agreement. They have one or two things
they're focused on, and every single time they get them,
every single time.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
And I get there's difficulty.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
With you know, thirty one owners as well as the
Green Bay Packers organization which Mark Murphy offsly acts as
their owner. I understand thirty two guys together is a
lot easier than two thousand players. And you know, even
sometimes you're talking about guys who are in college who
aren't a part of that union yet that are going to.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Be when some of these issues impact them. And so
I get the difficulty in it. But this is to
me at least.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
The start of what could be a fracture that occurs
in whether it's from running backs to off its alignment
or whoever else. At some point there's going to be
some drastic measures taken in order to exercise their leverage.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
And that's the only thing they can do is hold out,
not play.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
There's really not any other mechanisms in play right now
for some of these positions and some of these players
who are frustrated with what they're getting compensated.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
There's a lot to it, man, and I don't have
very much to add to what you said.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
I think there are complications to.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Trying to do the right deals when you're representing a
body such as the National Football League player. I would
also say it's pretty it's pretty interesting because what we've
seen historically is that the owners are going to figure
out a way to be the bank. They're the dealer, right,

(11:44):
Like you go to the casino, like you may hear
some chiming go off, some screams and hollers because somebody won.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Well, why do.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
You think you only hear those screams and hollers every
so often? Because between those screams and hollers, you know
the dealer is winning. You know the casino is winning.
And that's kind of to me, that's kind of how
That's how the league is, and it's set up. It's
set up where the owners are going to benefit and

(12:15):
you know what, guess guess what, guess why because they
created it. It's their business, it's their business model, and
everyone else is just a guest at the table as
it applies to these franchises and how the owners handle
and how they run things. And clearly it's working because,

(12:37):
as we just mentioned, you could be a horrible owner
and still sell your franchise at a record setting number.
So when you look at what takes place, what trends happen,
what what, what players are getting paid, what players aren't
getting paid. Listen, these these owners are going to go

(13:02):
with where where it's supposed to be. And there's nothing
there's nothing, I mean, there's really nothing you're going to
be able to do about it, like except your job,
because again you can start to do the whole well,
we're going to hold out unless you can get everybody
to hold out, unless you could get everybody to strike,

(13:25):
unless you could get everybody to support one position group,
because they may feel like, well, hell, they're going to
do it to the running backs position. They may do
it to the guards position. They may they may do
it to the defensive ends position. They may do it
to other positions. Unless you can get everybody on the
same page, which what is the same page on that,
because those numbers are going to fluctuate and change and

(13:48):
move and be different anyway. It's just it's it's such
a complex conversation to have.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
And can I ask you a question just on the
dealer in Vegas front because I mean the running backs
at this point, there's nothing like that in that Yeah, yeah,
because I do. It brings up an important point. Do
you think the dealer ever feels bad when somebody loses
a hand like at blackjack?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I think they do feel bad.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Okay, because I can almost guarantee you they do, because
when I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago,
I played a couple of hands of blackjack, and.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
I love, all's going to be a different because white.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Whitejack wasn't available. What you wanted me to say, Yeah,
that's fine.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah, well white Jack was playing right next year. He
was losing his asses.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Okay, it was yeah, the equal opportunity losers at the
blackjack table.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
That was just the guy sitting sitting next to name
was Jack.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Yeah yeah, but me guess he was off that day.
Is that what you're getting at? Is that the end
of that joke. Here's here's what I would say. I
sat I sat. I sat at a blackjack table and
it was twenty five dollars minimums, which is way over
the top for me, and I said, okay, I got
a good feeling. I've played four hands of blackjack and

(14:59):
maybe forty five seconds. And the look on the dealer's
face was almost worse than mine, because I would I
had seventeens, eighteens, I had a twenty. At one point, he.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Was pushing you or beating me.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Oh my, like a ramp to me, and I just said,
like a lax it is literally I just said to
the guy, well, thank you very much, and he was
like on the verge of saying I'm sorry, but he
didn't know what to say. So I do wonder how
often that happened here.

Speaker 5 (15:27):
How much money you have, God give that last bit
of money that you're gonna use, and you gotta walk
away from the table. It's such a it's such a
defeating feeling. It's such an empty feeling. Yeah right, it's
worse than it actually kind of feels worse than getting
broken up from. Like I can recall the worst time

(15:47):
I was like, somebody broke up with me, and they
broke up with me for one of my friends on.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Top of that, and that felt horrible and it doesn't
even felt right.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
It didn't even feel as bad, didn't even feel as
bad as is that Like you walk away from that
table after you're giving your last dollar that you're going
to use. It's it's a it's a lonely feeling walking
away from that table, like you've been taking full advantage
of and.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
You knew it for your friend, you're gonna stay there, huh.

Speaker 5 (16:17):
I mean you brought it up and I was the
star player on the team and you left me for
like one of the role players man, like you know,
I guess I guess he was.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
He was, you know, and he was shorter than me.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
You know, what do you get that?

Speaker 5 (16:32):
I'm not getting that anything. I mean, she she did?
She what was she started dating them?

Speaker 2 (16:39):
I mean maybe she couldn't handle the spotlight. You know.
You know what I'm saying. You couldn't handle all the
attention you were getting with it hurt.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
I threatened him, I said, I beat your ass, like,
I can't believe you do this to me.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
I thought we was boys, you.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Know, I never was that guy ever again, though, like
I value myself close, we were super close. We ended
up going to the same college everything, like you know,
we were we were cool. We were cool afterwards, like
after it all settled in, and then I was kind
of like, you know, I put put my you know, game.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Stage back on. This was high school. You made it
sound like it was okay, oh like recent Like no, no,
I thought this was like NFL. That's how I thought.
That was your pointed out.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
But I would never lose to somebody in the NFL, man.
And first of all, I wouldn't even care if somebody
took if I had a chicken, a dude took my chick,
I got'd be.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Like, you can have her, like, you know, just keep
it moving.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
But high school, high school, I still had feelings and emotions,
man like, like things mattered, like your feelings could get hurt,
you know. So yeah, not not not the league. The
league would have been totally different, Like you've been like,
oh you you think you stole.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Her from me, Like I'll let you have her. Yeah,
there you go.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
That's rough.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
It's hard, docklights. Sometimes.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
I hope you and Larry Centers patched up your relationship.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
And Larry high school together.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
No, we played in the pros though, I know, I know, yeah,
that has been known to happen in the league.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Though I don't want to school North Hill who think
it's behind a paywall. You know, I don't know if
I can get.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
To it here. His initials were CP. I'll tell you.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
That North Hills Hammer and uh where his name was.
There's Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you.
All right, so go up next. We have been anticipating
a move and an announcement in the world of sports,
and apparently there's some reasoning behind why it hasn't happened yet.

(18:46):
We'll tell you what that is here on fs R.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six a m. Eastern three am
Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up in about twenty minutes from now, we are going
to talk about what could be a first in the
world of football, so make sure you stick around for that.
It could be a little bit of history in the
world of football. We'll get into that for you again
twenty minutes from now from the Tairaq dot Com studios

(19:24):
and another edition of You and and You Out. So
PAC twelve Media Day. I don't know if if you
guys are aware of this. Brady, I'm not sure if
you're aware of this. It's Friday in Vegas tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
There's some accuracy to that. There's some inaccuracy. There's actually
a dinner this evening in Las Vegas, and.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
That's one of the best parts of all the conference
media days. The PAC twelve dinner has typically been one
of the best events to go to.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
So that's tonight. I'll be there. Then I'll be in
Vegas for PAC twelve media days. But why was that
master us? So it's just and what what casino is that?

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Well, it used to be in La So they now
have changed this and a lot of conferences has done this.
This is like the unofficial start of the season. They
start the year Latin. I'm talking about the dinner. It's
in the mastros Is in the Cosmopolitan, right, Well, that's
what I'm trying to explain to you is it used
to be in La So it's in the La mastros
I don't think they're not doing it at a Mastroses.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Okay, gotcha, got it, got it?

Speaker 4 (20:32):
Yeah, but it is a Resorts World is Worthy venue
and I've heard that. But that's that.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
A lot of the stuff's actually over at Allegiant Stadium.
Which is what I was getting to is all these
conference media days now they're having them, you know they
they basically are at the place where the season ends
for the conferences. So you know, Big ten there will
be at Lucas Oil pac twelve is an Allegiant. You
kind of go on through and you see like they're

(20:57):
all surrounded by the places pretty much with the exception
of the sec they did.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
There's a Nashville this year. They're all at the places
where the season's gonna end.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Is a Tomahawk steak Oh man, you could eat that
in one sitting, well, I.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Share, share I have only Jonas takes a doggy bag
from a steakhouse because he can't finish his stick.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
I listen, I want to have something for the rest
of the week.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
You know that Tomahawk is pretty big and every once
in a while, depending on how I feel, I take
that bone that that's accompanied by the meat that's already
been removed from it and and and properly sliced. I
eat the meat off of that bone sometimes, really I do.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
And I hold the bone in the middle of mastros.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
Well, yeah, hold it for you.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
I mean.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
But Deon Sanders will not be a bad PAT twelve
media day probably going to be there. He's the star
of the PAC twelve now, and he's not going to
be there because he's you know, he.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Got to go. It's actually a pretty big deal.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Yeah, so he's got you know, they dealing with that,
but they're not going to be removing the foot. That
was a conversation that was had. But he is going
to be having more surgeries. And then I'm looking around
everywhere because I was under the impression I'm trying to
see where were they? Where's that the media rights deal
they were going to announce? I thought that was happened.
Where's that? What happened to that? I thought they were

(22:23):
announcing some media rights deal they packed twelve.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Was they don't have one? Do they?

Speaker 4 (22:28):
No?

Speaker 2 (22:28):
No no deal? I don't think they got one done.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
They're they're working on it, and and and the difficulty
is twofold one. They're they're not receiving. I think the
amount of money that they were hoping they were going
to the Big twelve last year really beat them to
the punch and provided a safe haven for schools who
are looking for financial stability and by way of joining

(22:53):
a conference that has a strong TV rights media deal.
And just so everyone out there understands the economics of
how sports essentially are working the TV rights media deals.
When I say TV I mean linear meaning like your
broadcast channels, your cable channels like your Fox for example,
or cable FS one for Fox. And then you're also

(23:14):
your digital rights. You know, that's becoming a bigger thing
as Amazon gets more involved obviously in the NFL, but YouTube, TV,
all these different you know, the these different platforms that
broadcast live events, all these media rights are is the
lifeblood of everything.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
It's what makes these leagues work.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
It doesn't matter if it's over in Europe and playing
you know, Premier League. It doesn't matter if it's the
NFL or anything else. It's what makes the leagues work.
So for college football, it's no different. And the difference
here is the fact the Big twelve got their deal
done last year and they were able to essentially kind
of carve out an agreement between Fox and the ESPN
or Disney in this case, and you know how that's

(23:56):
gonna work, and so they know exactly by the end
of their deal their teams can making upwards close to
fifty million. I think I saw, and I don't think
the Pac twelve is gonna be anywhere near that. And
so now that's a concern for every school as they
look around and say, well, how can we compete, How
can we you know, not run a deficit every single
year having sports programs?

Speaker 2 (24:17):
You have two options.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
You either cut sports right and with Title nine, that
makes it difficult because then you're gonna have to cut
a lot of men's sports in order to make sure
you have equal scholarships on both sides, or you're gonna say,
you know, we're just you know, we're gonna have to
run a deficit and try to figure out an other
way of funding this somehow and see if we can
get help, or you could try to find another conference.

(24:39):
And so I think that's the other thing at play
here is, you know, conference expansion is still an ongoing conversation.
I'm not sure it's done, and I think because of that,
there's hesitancy from the PAC twelve to announce potentially whatever
they've agreed to or have an agreed to, because they
don't know if there's stability of even the teams that
are currently in the conference staying put, like they could

(25:02):
make an announcement before the season that they're jumping to
another conference. So there's a lot of things up in
the air right now. For the pack Troll they're in
an incredibly tough spot.

Speaker 4 (25:11):
Yeah, it just feels like much like COVID last one
to the dance, like they were the last one to
figure everything out, and now they're just kind of waiting
around and twiddling their thumbs and trying to put something
together at the last minute.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
So but again, you know, sooner or later they're just
lolling for Dion to get them that big deal right
and then and then we'll see how long he's there for,
and then then they're gonna have to answer that not just.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
Man, I'm concerned for Prime health wise. I hope he's
I hope he's good. Like forget the whole anything else
first and foremost I hope prime is is you know,
he's okay. But then now getting back to football, I mean,
could you imagine the amount of build up that's been
created around him. As you mentioned, he has become the

(25:58):
face of kind of you know, this off season for
for you know, not only for the Pack, but heck,
probably for kind of college football in general. And there's like,
I mean, does it cross your mind there's a possibility
that he might not be able to coach, Like that's

(26:21):
kind of wild to me.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Man Like, my understanding is that it's a routine follow
up what he's going through today, that it's.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
Not yeah, but the last, the last, it's a follow
up to like the last, Like that was a really
really it sounded like a really intense deal that he
had to deal with when he went in for the
I guess it was a surgery, right, It was a procedure,
you know, to fix his the dislocated toes and then
there was another blood clot I think that was found

(26:50):
in his growing or something to that effect, And it
just makes you start to think, like, man like, he
it's so wild. He doesn't miss on his social media,
so no matter what's going on, he's he's almost like Diddy.
He lets you in on everything that's going on, like
they they they document everything.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
He doesn't miss a beat. But it's like that's a serious.

Speaker 5 (27:13):
Yeah, Like he's dealing with Like it's almost like life
threatening stuff that he's dealing with. And in terms of
how how serious it is in nature, I started thinking
the other day, like, man, what I think I brought
it up to you Jonas, like what what if he
can't coach? Like what happens? I think like that would

(27:35):
be a wild scenario. If he just wasn't healthy enough to.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Coach, it'd be be terrible, I think, one for the players,
for the sport. But uh, he does have a tremendous staff.
Like That's where I don't know that he gets enough
credit for a lot of the guys that he's brought
on his staff that are good coaches and so they
are equipped to probably handled a period of time without him.
But you know, as we've talked about, I mean, I

(28:00):
think you mentioned it either yesterday or last week.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
When we were all working together, like it's it says
it's just like Bro.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
It doesn't say Colorado, it's just Prime.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
He's it's just probably.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
I said that didn't I say that last week.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I can't remember.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
Maybe you both said it last week, but Guy's got
one more time to do last week tell you that
what you talk about and and and y'all was probably
text messaging why you were drinking pina coladas and Mitchelata's poolside.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
But you get my point, and like you've made that
point is he is everything when they identify the Colorado
program right now, he's He's why a lot of kids
commit there and go there. He's the attraction of why
they can competitively recruit. And so you know, you could
sustain I think with the staff that he's built for
a period of time. But I mean not having like

(29:02):
long term security. When you're talking to parents about Hey's
Prime going to be here in two years, you know
is gonna be able to make it through this?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
That's concerning. There's no doubt about it. And I think
I think any.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Player or parent would be concerned, especially with the stuff
we've we've seen right now.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Okay, God willing everything goes well with Prime that scene
and I know they open up at TCU, but that
home opener Brady September ninth against Nebraska, you're going to
be there aren't you Q Oh yeah, I can tell
you what man be going.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
To be lit all right.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
There are some venues that you look at and just
say wow. Like I remember the first time I visited
there when they were recruiting me. That stadium sits up
against the mountains kind of there in Boulder.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
It's a backdrop. It is incredible.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
There's nothing like when Ralphie runs out and you see
that behemoth of an animal. That's like there's like dudes
trying to like, you know, direct it, and you're like,
if this thing wanted to that buffalo just run through
everyone dragon, But no doubt about it. That thing is
such a powerful, powerful being. But it's just awesome, dude.
And like I said, I've always been a sucker for

(30:04):
the gold Helmets. So for me, like you know, whether
it's Notre Dame or Colorado when I was young, like
seeing that come out, it's just a it's a good look, dude.
So I'm excited for the season. We've got a really
cool slate and there's so many questions. Like we talked
about Bama today in their quarterback situation. You're talking about
the best coach in college football history. You got Colorado

(30:24):
who may be coming back now with Prime and the
energy he's bringing. There's just a lot of interesting you know,
I guess conversations that are going on in college football
that should make it for a really fun season.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
Yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun. It's fantastic.
Any what else is fantastic?

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Time?

Speaker 7 (30:39):

a black turf is gonna do.
