Speaker 3 (01:29):
Great man, where did you go?
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Let's go football week every week morning until mid February.
How's that? Damn right? You know?
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Now that last week?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
No, because you didn't have the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Game, Oh like like the week before, Yeah, the week before, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
You know, like an actual game. Gonna shop it on, right, yeah,
and then start throwing some bodies around.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
This game doesn't count against the overall actual record.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Though, right, No, no, no, no, Let no bodies hit
the floor.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
No bodies hit the floor.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Let no bodies hit the floor.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Now. One body that may or may.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Just getting into the spirit, that's all.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
One body that may or may not be hitting the floor.
For the Indianapolis Colts is Jonathan Taylor, because man, oh man,
did that thing get ugly? In a hurry. Jim Mersay,
I think it was Thursday, took to Twitter and just
made his comments felt about the running back position, and
Jim Mersay talked about, well, you know, we already negotiated
(02:38):
some sort of a deal with you know, the CBA,
It was already collectively agreed to and all this other stuff,
and then you know, it's it's within bad faith to
go ahead and start complaining about it after the fact.
One of the people that commented on Jim Irsay's tweet
was Jonathan Taylor's agent. Jonathan Taylor's entering the final year
of his rookie deal. He's been trying to get a
contract extension done. He's with this ankle injury that he
(03:01):
suffered last year, so he's been on the pup list.
There's been kind of this weird back and forth, and
then apparently Jonathan Taylor requests a trade last week. We
don't really hear about it. He meets with Jim Irsay
on Saturday night in Jim Mersey's bus during practice. The
meeting goes for about an hour, and neither really disclose
(03:23):
what was being talked about, and then it goes public
via Stephen Holder, who's been covering the Colts for a
long time, that Jonathan Taylor would like a trade. And
then Jim Mersay, while at training camp, is asked about
the situation, has just said they don't have any interest
in wanting to do a contract extension at this time.
And so, while he's sitting there on a golf cart
(03:44):
just sort of waxing poetically about the whole situation, he
decided to just get down to the bottom barrel of
what this all means for Jonathan Taylor and himself when
it comes to the NFL in this contract negotiation. Let's
take a listen.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
I die tonight and Jonathan Taylor's the league. No one's
gonna miss us. The league goes on. I mean, you know,
we know that the National.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Football rolls on.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
It doesn't matter, you know who who comes and who goes.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Welp, I mean you have all the way real, Let's
let's get right to the bottom of the barrel here.
We're all gonna die someday.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Oh thanks Jim, Yeah, thanks man. Yeah, death is inevitable.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Okay, cool, He did explain, he did say what probably
every owner is thinking though, Okay, and to your point,
there's a lot of industries that are like that.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
I'll put it this.
Speaker 6 (04:37):
Way, Hey, man, if I didn't uh, you know, if
I didn't log into you guys today, you guys been, man,
I wonder where Bratty's at.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
But the show would go on, you guys. It would
not be.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Like, oh you had some time on Brady, the show
went on.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
Yeah, you guys would It wouldn't be like the show
would stop, like it would still run from six to
nine am Eastern time, and after the show you.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Like, oh my gosh, oh man, that's sad.
Speaker 6 (05:02):
But hey, so what are we doing with the show
tomorrow for the rest of the week. We got a
third guy coming in, Like, let's be real, like, there
is there is truth to what Jim Ersay said. I
think what's shocking about this is you just never hear
an owner publicly admit that and say that, And that's
(05:23):
what's surprising. And Jonas did a great job of just
taking about two and a half minutes to really lay
out the red carpet for this discussion, but there was
one detail too that he didn't include, and that's apparently
when Jonathan Taylor showed up for his physical, he also
claimed to have I think it was like a back
(05:44):
injury or something that maybe occurred that was outside of
the team facilities.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Now that's significant because the team.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Now views that as an injury that occurred off site,
which means they're not responsible for paying for his salary
or anything, especially if they put him on the Non
Football Injury List the NFI, which is possible, and they
could drag this thing on through the entire season and
not even pay him if he happened to get injured
(06:15):
outside of team facilities, are not actually part of a
team activity in the offseason, which is potentially what they're
going to claim. So this could get really ugly really fast.
And I don't know, LaVar, I think it's surprising because
Jonathan Taylor and health has been so good for them,
But I guess if you look at the state.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Of the running backs in the NFL, it kind of
speaks for itself.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
I think that's totally what it is. Is. Ersay is
looking at the value that that is there for the
running backs, and he's making the organization is making their
decisions based off of what the market is saying.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
This feels personal though well he I.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
Mean, but he kept it all the way one hundred
from the hip. If you don't think that, that's how
these owners feel about every single position out there, possibly
other than the quarterbacks position. And even there, Jim Ursay
had to deal with that with Andrew Luck. He went
through having to continue the show without your main star.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Do you think he scarred from that? I mean possibly,
wouldn't you be?
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Yeah, I mean honestly, once in a generation talent like that,
and he just like, I'm done all of a sudden,
especially if I I.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
Mean, let's just be real. They tanked like Peyte was hurt.
They tanked that season. They did all they could to
try to field a team that would hopefully warrant them
the number one pick.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
I mean that that's how that worked out.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
So I think if you took that on in doing
that organization, that say what you want about the Coles.
They've been pretty competitive throughout the past two decades. A
lot of it has to do with Peyton and Andrew Luck,
but like I mean, even Philip Rivers when when he
came in for a year and some of the others.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
I mean, they've been competitive. So yeah, maybe you're right.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
You know, maybe that one season where they had to
tank for it and they get luck and the stars
the line and it feels like they've got another future
Hall of Famer on their roster for years to come,
and then he kind of and then bam.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
You know, yeah, And that's where I think if you're
saying it might be personal, Jonas, I know you might
have been taking a different angle and I don't want
to step on you, but but it definitely could be personal.
Like he might have commitment issues. You know, he probably
had to tell himself that several different times that the
show goes on, like I got to make it and
(08:39):
started crying, maybe started singing, but naked with his with
his cowboy pants, and that's.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
What I thought may happen.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
Yeah, like maybe Thursday Nights is when they uh, what
was of his band of straight shots?
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Or is that someone else?
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Now that's James Dolan, He's got.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
That's right shots. Well whatever the leaning trees, the leaning trees,
that's right. Maybe they've got you know, a couple. I
don't know, Jonas.
Speaker 6 (09:06):
You know that you were you were a musician, like
you do you guys like have like one day a
week or something.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
You get together and play and.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Jim out session. It's like a practice, you know, you
get together and uh, you know, full pads. Let it
be known, like who's got what, who's working on what?
You get to create.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
But here's my question. But here's my question. If the
name of your band is Jim Ersay and the Leaning Trees,
don't you have to have Jim Mersey for the show
to go on? Maybe you were to if he were
to die. I don't know.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
He called the Leaning Trees and you move on. I
mean we've seen other bands move on without the lead singer.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Yeah, Journey got that new singer and they have a Mississ.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Just like him. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
Well, and no disrespect to Nirvana, but like Kirk o Pain,
Kirk Obain passed and they turned to food Foot checked.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Out what really well they didn't, I mean kind of.
It was the drummer from Nirvana, you know, started Food
Fighters and then Food Fighters is pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
I like the Food Fighters. Dove Man.
Speaker 6 (10:11):
Yeah, I mean, Jonas wouldn't say likes either Nirvana or
Food Fighters, but you know, I just.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Song was dope.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Fighters have some good songs. I just think when you
look at the list of great bands from the Seattle
grunge era. Nirvana's clearly at the bottom. I mean, I
don't know what to tell anyone.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Can we come back to some Nirvana out of the
next berth?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah? Probably?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Mark, is that possible?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Didn't didn't anything anything.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Great?
Speaker 1 (10:41):
It's gonna say, didn't Nirvana do a remake of You
Be forties Red Wine?
Speaker 3 (10:47):
But I hope not.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Now.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
On the subject of the back injury that the Colts
reportedly are claiming, Jonathan Taylor showed up with Jonathan Taylor
did go to Twitter, which is where all the stuff
gets handled. I mean, this is where the stuff gets
cleared up. And he said one never had a back pain,
two never reported back pain. Not sure who the quote
sources are, but find new ones. His old thing's a disaster.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Hey. By the way, I saw y'all's I saw y'all's
favorite agent in the casino after the fight. Was that
Saturday or the day before yet? All right?
Speaker 6 (11:23):
Yeah, he's propped up looking tough next to that craps table.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Huh.
Speaker 6 (11:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Probably someone else to the dice for him.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Huh. He was walking with Micah. I saw Micah in
the casino. He was walking with Micah. No, we did
not speak or acknowledge each other's presence.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
Yeah, well, of course he wasn't walking by himself. That's
just not a style.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
No, no, no, he wasn't by himself. So it was
interesting though, because I'm sure he hears if somebody's told
him that we talk about him on the show. He
certainly didn't acknowledge my presence, and the feeling was was
certainly reciprocated back.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
He's actually the new Little David.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
He's like Little Dandy, but Little Danny's out of the.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
You should have pulled you should have pulled an ers
and just walked up to him and said, hey, listen, man,
I know we haven't seen eyed eye and a lot
of things, but you know, we're all gonna die. And
I don't even know him. It is what I don't.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
I don't. I don't even know him. That's not even
a thing.
Speaker 6 (12:19):
It's probably a good reminder of the thing like sets
the tone and perspective for people. You know, Hey, man
just wants you to know we're all gonna die. So
what you feel like, it's what you're doing is significant.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Can we please hear Jim Mr say again with just
words of wisdom to start your Monday. Nothing but positivity
from the.
Speaker 5 (12:40):
If I die tonight and Jonathan Taylor's out of the league,
no one's gonna miss us.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
The league goes on.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
You know, we know that the National.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
Football rolls on. It doesn't matter, you know who who
comes and who goes.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
I mean, I mean I wanted to say if I
lost my team tonight, because that would have went.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
To the show goes on like that. He's being truthful.
Speaker 6 (13:08):
I mean, Tom Brady, Tom Brady's arguably the greatest resume
in NFL history. He's retired, he's moved on. It's like
and the league just kind of pivots. They're like, well, yeah,
you Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow. And I mean, if
you looked on social media when Joe Burrow got injured,
you'd be hard pressed not to find a story and
(13:29):
article and updates something about his injury or justin Herbert's contract.
I mean, the show really does go on in that respect.
It's pretty humbling when you really think about it.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Yeah, but I think you could.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
That's supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yes, it's supposed to be. But it's like you're in
the middle of a contract negotiation. It's like, why don't understand,
why don't you see my value? Because you're gonna die.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
But he put it in perspective. But Jonas, he didn't
say if if Jonathan Taylor were to die. He said
that Jonathan Taylor were out of the league. It's actually
that's even that's even more that's even more hard hitting
than the we're all going to die because you said
you said something that's inevitable, you actually really say it, Jonathan.
I'm okay with you not being in the league, active
(14:16):
in the league, like the show will be.
Speaker 6 (14:17):
I just realized, I hope Jim Orsay never meets my
children because I feel like he's gonna be like, yeah, well,
you know that's Santa Claus guy and the Easter Bundy
and uh, you know, like anyone else who happens to
currently be in their life, he is going to absolutely
(14:39):
take a battle axe too.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
But don't worry what happened to Grandpa, Jim? I had
a little too much.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
What are your daughters? Got? Her favorite car? It's like
her favorite car in the world. She cruises around the
neighborhood and shows up and goes. I don't worry about it.
In the next hurricane that'll be wiped out. Thank you
appreciate it, Thank you.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Jim I got ahold of the Easter Bunny. Don't worry, though,
there's still going to be an Easter egg hunt.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
He's almost the last.
Speaker 6 (15:14):
He's the last one you want, like advice or telling you,
like something bad's gonna happen, right.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Oh yeah, it's just.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
Can you imagine jimmercy on hard knocks, Like he's actually
in there for the player, you know, cutting and all that.
He's like, well, you know, you just weren't good enough
for us, but hey, look we're all gonna die one
it doesn't really matter.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
But don't worry about it on your death.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
You think he'd be putting a lot of salt. You
think he'd be put a lot of salt on his
egg McMuffin while he's saying it though.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Jer like sald on the rim of his margarita.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
I mean, why why did Jerry even have the top
on to the salt. He just had the top off
of the salt and put it on the way he
puts so much sold on that egg McMuffin.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
You think they think there's enough sodium in McDonald's products.
That you don't need to.
Speaker 6 (16:09):
I was just watching the video last night about their
fries and how they only use certain rusted potatoes.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
They have a high quality of what they use.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
But then like the chemicals they put on those things
man in order to ensure that they like properly grow
and develop, like farmers don't even go out in the
fields after they put this pesticide on it for five days,
it's so potentially toxic. And then they put it in
like these big like storage facilities that it takes I
(16:40):
don't know, another period of time for all the gas
to be extracted out of it, because they're literally not
even edible for like weeks. And I was like, oh, okay,
and that's those are the potatoes that they use to put.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
In McDonald's fries. Pass on that eventually.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
But guys are in like hazmat suits, gas mask going
into these facilities to like check to make sure like
all the gas is extracted out of these potatoes to
make them survive and grow and develop into like the
perfect russet potato to then cut up to put in
the McDonald's front.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
One of those guys walked up to Jim Mersay and said,
I'm not sure about the conditions we're working, and say, well,
what does it matter, We're all going to die anyways. Okay,
thank you, get back to work, clock in, clock out,
make us some fries, and then we're off and running.
So that's fun stuff from Yeah, you bet hey, who's
making the fries. It's that guy over there that's got
the nuclear war costume on. That guy. He's making your fries.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Great? Cool?
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Can I get a large?
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Then?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
If we're gonna do this, let's go on doing.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
With those chickens and the and them meats too. Then
that's what they're doing with the potatoes.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
Potatoes, it's like potato, like the Captain America of chickens
is what they're cutting up.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
You know, those things are like biological and modified.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Oh man, so fun stuff. Good to hear from Jim
mersay a straight out of it.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Well, good luck to you, Jonathan, Good luck to you.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
Man.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
That sounds like it's going end well.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
But you know, Jonathan, look pick up your toe tags
on the way out.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
We proved the way I'm here.
Speaker 6 (18:11):
None of these players right now that try to have
these hold ins hold outs negotiations.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
I mean, there's another owner. We'll get to that's taking
a pretty hard stance too.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
It's a big off season for the owners in this battle.
They're they're doing, they're performing at a high level of.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
The owners that will get rid of their own They
ain't playing around. The owners is on a tear. It's
the it's the year of the owner.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
That is true. They probably feel so much more confident now, like,
oh my god, the guy who knows all the dirt
is gone. Great, Yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
The one that we'll talk is gone.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
The one that will will airs out is gone.
Speaker 1 (18:45):

By the way, he's listening on the podcast. It's Nirvana
that's being played right now. Just a little heads up,
so you know, we're referencing here, just thinking about everybody.
That's what I do here on this show. By the way,
coming up in about twenty minutes from now.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
So what do you do?
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Yeah, from the tire rack dot Com Studios. So what
Yonas does we've got for this show? Bad look for
a football powerhouse, A really really bad look for a
football powerhouse. So we're going to get into that for
you again, coming up twenty minutes from now here on
Fox Sports Radio. So we had, you know, I sent
boots on the ground coverage. I'm gonna call it Ja's
(20:15):
on the ground. We had J's on the ground coverage.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
You sent boots to cover what? Well?
Speaker 1 (20:21):
No, I mean we had you were there, LeVar, Come on,
up on games.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Oh you sent me, you sent me here?
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Well, no, but if we can tag off, got.
Speaker 4 (20:31):
Me my media credential and everything. Listen, I'm trying to
understand this. You sent me here to be on the
ground for the coverage.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
No, but I'm going to barnacle off of you. We're
going to barnacle off of you and use this as
LeVar was in Vegas representing the show. Oh and hanging
out with David Mulligan.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
I actually wore I actually wore balinci AGA's to the
to the fight.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
What the hell?
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Oh wow, I didn't even have Wow, I didn't have
Jordan's on man, LeVar.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Yeah, what are Balinciago's expensive?
Speaker 4 (21:02):
Uh, they're pretty expensive. Can you look up how much
they're stylished? They're very they're very stylish.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
What is they're Italian? If you can't tell what the name?
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, I just want to see what the price range.
Speaker 8 (21:16):
Some people would pronounce it Italian, Yeah, Italian yeah, Italian
to make something yeah, not Italian yeah yeah, because I
put that eye in that out Italian shoe.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Yeah, I hear you do. We have a price on
the whatever their agios or whatever they're called.
Speaker 9 (21:39):
The cheapest Balenciaga's I could find, and sorry to put
this out there is around nine hundred dollars.
Speaker 4 (21:46):
No, the cheapest one you could find.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Cheapest in the men's section. Yes, so you wouldn't see that.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
At Martyay, so those would not be a mar or yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Or or we'll dress for.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Ross, dress for less. You know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
Yeah, right, you might see something in there, might be
a defective pair.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
So could we talk about I mean, I don't want
to sit here and gloat and say I tried to
tell you about Terrence Crawford.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
That's a lot you did, say, Bud, you did, man.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
That fight was over after that first jab.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
I'll tell you what, it was not a pretty pretty spectacle.
If you were a Spence fan, I was. I was
blown away. So for me coming into the fight, I
thought to myself, Okay, looking at them, Bud was the
better athlete, and I thought for some reason that Spence
would be the better boxer. And so early on in
(22:43):
the fight, what you saw was was Spence walking down
and cutting off the ring, closing down the ring on
on Crawford, and I thought that was because he wanted
to limit Bud's movement and that athleticism. He wanted to
kind of neutralize it and keep him in in front
(23:05):
of him so that he could kind of get his
range and start working him out. You know, he touches
the body quite a bit, he uses his jab, and
he starts to kind of systematically wear you out. The
only problem is is that Bud looked like he was
cooperating until you saw him blast off on him and
(23:27):
started hitting him, and then you realize that one that
Bud actually was inviting him to do it. Two, he
wasn't panicking once Spence jumped in there and was trying
to exchange somebody shots and some jabs with him. And three,
I mean his quickness to just come straight down the
(23:48):
middle and jab and touch Spence's face was I mean
it was. It was a brilliant game plan executed by Crawford.
That fight man. I mean, he didn't he walked him in.
I'm not going to say it was like a rope adope,
but it kind of was. It kind of had that
feel to it, like he was allowing Spence to think
(24:11):
he was the aggressor and then he started rocking him.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Yeah, he took the first he almost took the first
round off like I'll let him have this one. I'm
just gonna feel it out. And then once he got
his timing down, he just kept like Spence kept walking
into the jab and it was devastating.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
And he wasn't he wasn't quick enough to offset what
what Bud Crawford was bringing bringing his way. I mean
it got to the point of where before the the
TKO took place, you actually were like you felt like
it was a throw to towel and.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Yeah, they should have stopped. He took damage.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
He didn't need to it could he took damage he
didn't need to take. I mean, he was wearing his
ass out, it was and it was so it was
such a dominant performance by Terrence Crawford that to even
sit there and immediately have the conversation of a rematch
(25:07):
almost seeing like you didn't care about Earl Spence's health. Yeah,
you aren't considering his health to say so you don't
want to go back in the ring with that man,
But there is there's probably gonna be a rematch, and
it'd be interesting to see how the tone of this
this rematch takes because but Crawford totally like This probably
(25:27):
should have been his hardest fight of his career, and
maybe it was, but the way it looked watching it,
it looked like it might have been his easiest fight.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
So Errol Spence has the loser has the rematch clause,
so he has an automatic rematch clause. He's already said
that he's gonna take it. And ye, I don't know
about you, guys, I'm just not all that interested in
seeing it again. It's kind of like, I mean, I.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Would want to see it again. I would want to
see it again to see if now because I almost
feel like, Okay, you put together a game plan that
you thought would work against Terence Crawford. It fell horribly
on its face and you had no adjustments in fight
for it. So now that you have that on film,
(26:15):
now you know how he's gonna fight, you can you
prepare yourself to be able to win the fight. That's
why I mean to me, that's boxing, right, So maybe
a different a different approach and maybe not stocking him
as much as he did, maybe you know, taking different angles.
Don't stand right in front of that man like he's
(26:37):
too quick for you. You can't stand right in front
of him. You got you're gonna have to create angles.
I would be interested in seeing a rematch just to
see if strategically as good a team as as Spence has,
would they be able to put together a better game
plan to make him more competitive in the next fight.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Have you guys seen the Aero Spence car accident? Have
you seen the video of it?
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Okay, yeah, So back in for peel to know. Back
in twenty nineteen, Errol Spence, you know, went out and
was throwing back some throat burners and decided to get
behind the wheel of his car. And he's got some
fancy it's like some car you guys would drive.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Around Itamborghini, I believe, Yeah, I believe it was a Lamborg.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Grady's got like two or three of them. And so
he's he's driving at a high rate of speed and
same thing, same family. But he was driving at a
high rate of speed and he gets in this accident
and the only reason he survived is because he wasn't
wearing a seatbelt. He got ejected from the car and
the car was mangled.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
And so say that again, the only reason he survived
because he.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Was not because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. He was
ejected from the car.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
It's crazy, and you can you don't hear that very often.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
You can see his body, you can see his body
flying in the air. And I don't think he's ever
been the same since. And he didn't like there were
no broken bones, no nothing. He in ic U for
a couple of days, but they say there was no
long term effects or anything.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
Man.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
I hear him after the fight. You just hear him
ever since then. He just seems slow, like there's something
going on there, man, And and they don't nothing medically,
was ever diagnosed. Nothing. And I just don't think he's
the same guy. And when you hear him after the fight,
I felt bad for him. Sounded punch drunk after the fight, so.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
I mean he was punched.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
He was punched. His hit man.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
At one point on the big screen, you could see
his hair was even being impact about him blows like
you know how they show him in slow motion and
they see how their face, you know, how their hair off.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
His head, your hair, like you know, let's get out.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Of here, you know, damn, you know how, Let's go
the other way.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
Boy opens up and quick and the way the oh
my god, you can see the way the riffles ripples
off of the hand. Yeah. Well yeah, his hair his
hair started parting ways and it was like a brisk wind.
Speaker 6 (29:17):
That the hair ran in the back of his neck.
His hair just escaped for a second in the back
of his neck.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
How many fights were there in the crowd. There's always
a fight at a boxing match.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
I didn't see. I didn't see any fights in the crowd. No,
And it was it was. It was walled to wall.
It was wall to walls.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
It was.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
There was not an empty seat. Yeah, it wasn't an
empty seat. And people was all they were up in there.
There was a lot of people up in there, man,
there were a lot of Did.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
It feel like uh, like like a Mayweather fight?
Speaker 4 (29:51):
Yeah? Did it? Definitely did it had it had big,
big fight all over it. I mean it was. It
was really fun. I met I met. I met Kenya Martin.
You know, he's him and uh and Kevin Garnett are
my favorite basketball players. And I met Kenya mart I
finally met him, so that was pretty cool. I knocked out.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
He seemed like one of the coolest dudes. He was like,
to me, the method man of basketball.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Yeah, that's a hell of a pool, bro.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
I saw him, actually saw him a couple of weeks
ago at a Starbucks near Burbank Airport when I was
coming back from Vegas.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
And why are you stunting on me? Are I played
it this long in my life to meet Kenya Martin
And you're going to say, oh, yeah, I saw him
at the other day.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Well, no, the point the point was, he looks like
he could still play.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
He's great ship looked like he could still play.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
And how many basketball players look like they're in bad shape.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Oh that's a great question.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
But he still looks like he literally still looks like
he could play. Though I don't know his son, his
son's son handed me too, like his son's biggest. He
put his big, big ass strong hand on my shoulder.
I said, God, dang, you young son. Can't be sonning
me like that.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
It's like Andre the Giant with Bobby if.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
You if you play football boy, I take you down,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Like I had in order to be my son. Then
in there do they have to call your son?
Speaker 4 (31:20):
No, it's it's totally in how the hand hits your shoulder.
You know, when the hand hits your shoulder like that
you've you've been sonned, you know. And I didn't like
it at all. You know, I wasn't offended by it,
but I was just like, you can't be putting that
big ass hand on my shoulder like that man, like
you know, Yeah, I don't know, just didn't feel good
(31:42):
to me.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Some people have to discover that stuff the hard way,

more heat on there for the old Michigan fans over.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
The weekend, they wow.
Speaker 9 (35:37):
Over the weekend at Michigan Stadium, they were holding a
barbecue for recruits. Hey Brady, Hey LeVar, Hey you guys.
And in case you missed it, a picture from this
barbecue has gone viral of the plate of food that
they were serving to recruits, which included a Plaine hot dog,
a single chocolate chip cookie, as mac cheese, and chicken tenders.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
But if you're looking at.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
The photo, a little marks from a grill.
Speaker 9 (36:04):
Yeah, it looks like no grill marks. I can see,
not a lot of seasoning.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
No grill marks.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
It's like a kid's You got this up a kid's menu.
Speaker 9 (36:15):
It does look exactly like a kids.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
It's mac cheese, chicken fingers, a cookie, and a hot
dog with a lemonade on the side. What do they want?
Speaker 4 (36:26):
Yeah, it looked like a cant Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
I think they saved all the budget for their nile fons.
Speaker 6 (36:32):
And I mean, I mean, you tell me, would you
rather have a crappy lunch and maybe five thousand bucks
in your pocket or great point, a nice, elaborate, expensive lunch.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Just because they give you that pretty doesn't mean you have.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
To come to Penn State. We'll give you. We'll give
you a good barbecue. Come come to Penn State.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
What would they serve a Penn State lamar, come.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
To our big house. Well, at least the hot dog
would have grill marks on it, you know, yeah, that's all. Yeah,
it wouldn't be hot water. It wouldn't be hot water.
Hot dogs and State College we will grill them.
Speaker 6 (37:07):
You know what's crazy about stuff like this on university canvases.
Sometimes you have to use their catering, and so you're
kind of subject to like you can't like use like
an outside cater for stuff like that. You think they'd
have like better catering, but sometimes that's just how it works.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
You get what you get.
Speaker 6 (37:26):
So yeah, kind of, I mean it's kind of like
a university policy.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Yeah, well what else we got? Well?
Speaker 9 (37:34):
Speaking of nil arch, Manning made his first NIL deal,
partnering up with Panini America for a custom made trading card,
which was auctioned off for just over one hundred thousand dollars.
People are calling him a hypocrite because he said he
wouldn't do an NIL deal until he got us some
starting reps. Well one hundred percent of that one hundred
thousand dollars price tag is being donated to charity.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
So there you go, little nil news for you.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
Whoa man? But if it was, yeah, but it's theirs
who cares.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Yeah, I don't get why people get upset about it.
Speaker 6 (38:03):
If he can make money, haven't make money, you know,
But there's two misconceptions here.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
What's the problem.
Speaker 6 (38:10):
So he does this card and they get auctioned off
to one of a great charity. He's still signing a
deal with Pannini though, like he'll still make money off
of his card though, as he should.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Yeah, there's nothing ball with that.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
But it's not even a big deal.
Speaker 6 (38:31):
But I'll say, how many of the quarterbacks who aren't
starting could make that sort of money?
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Probably not many?
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Yeah, zero, unless their name is Arch Manning.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
It's like, who wants an Arch Manning card?
Speaker 4 (38:45):
Though?
Speaker 1 (38:46):
What's the what's the appeal? I don't get the.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
He's a part of the Manning. He's a part of
the Manning family tree legacy. If he turns out to
be what he's supposed to be. Yeah, that card is
worth a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
For Christ's sake. Okay, you want you want the dog
to have a trading card too? Do they have a
family dog?
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Sure we're doing that.
Speaker 4 (39:06):
Why not? Why not you sign named Art if he's
named Arts.
Speaker 7 (39:11):
