(01:27):
of you watched a game that was a preseason game
last night in the NFL, but nonetheless it was Monday
night football, and nonetheless you had a major streak on
the line. Twenty four game preseason wins streak on the
line for the Baltimore Ravens. They care a lot about it,
and the Washington commanders get it done. And you're probably
(01:50):
thinking to yourself, well, where did I hear that? Like
somebody was trying to tell me that Washington was a
threat to break the streak last night in national television. Well,
if you were listening to the show yesterday, you would
have heard one LeVar Arrington. Right before he stood in
line for seventeen hours to get his passport so that
he can go to Ireland, he had this to say
(02:12):
on what that game could look like last night, that would.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Be cool for them to snap the winning streak of
their neighbor. I mean no doubt about that. You have
some bragging rights on that. And if there's a team
that does that consistently through the years, it's the Washington
football team on the Commanders that that usually do it
for some strangers like who knocked off who was undefeated
last year?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Phil Washington? Yeah, didn't Washington knock them off?
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yep? Yeah right now Washington?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Yeah they might. They might be the street breaker, didn't they.
Weren't they the ones that gave the Steelers their first
loss that year that they were undefeated.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Yeah, they were. Look at you that that's correct. It
was on a Wednesday game.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
It was j Washington is like one of them teams
that do that that like they win crazy games.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
How about it, LeVar Arrington, just a round of applause.
Guy calling a shot? Calling a shot? What do you
think this is over? Unders that you win every week?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
I got I want people that want to win. They
don't need no more mouses, We need more doles.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
So yeah, you've got you've got two more. You think
the Steelers are going to be a playoff team.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, they're no less than second place in the AFC
North and then.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
You think Stetson Bennett is going to be starting games.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
With the Rams this year. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
I mean at this point, who's going to doubt you?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
I mean people are going to doubt me? Yeah, man,
that's all right.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, but they.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Can doubt me. You know what in the world would
ever make you believe that them doubting me matters to me?
You know, it's like, what is it? What does your
opinion matter about me? You know what I mean? Like,
it's not my opinion of myself. I know what my
opinion is on my son? Did you get what I
just did right there? What did I do?
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Who's Who's that?
Speaker 2 (04:08):
An impression of who? God? Why are you blinking on
such an easy one? It's so it's so easy. Ah,
it's coach Prime. Before Lee gets in your ear and
tells you, so there you go.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Oh, I wasn't thinking Coach Prime. Yeah, I wouldn't have gotten.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Yeah it was Coach Prime. He just totally told the media,
Like what would give you guys the impression that I
care about y'all's opinion of me. Hey, by the way,
it's not my opinion of me, So I don't care
I don't care. Y'all didn't make me, so y'all can't
break me.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Hey. By the way, speaking of opinions, Michael Irving's back,
Huh is he back?
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:46):
He's coming to FS one. He's gonna be working with
Skip Bayley.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Is he coming one?
Speaker 1 (04:50):
He's going to be a contributor? How about that? Okay,
we were wondering.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Uh, we're all making your rounds man. I mean, Mike,
Mike know how to get in and out. Well, I'll
tell you that. Didn't he work at ESPN for a minute.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, he's doing stuff at ESPN obviously.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Time.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
I mean he was comfortable. Oh now FS one, huh,
all right, ain't too many left, ain't too much left?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah. So so Michael Irvan's going to be, uh going
to be part of the rotating I thought that.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Had already been established. Isn't it going to be him,
Rachel Nichols, and Richard Sherman.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yeah, Richard Sherman will be there. And then I thought
there was somebody else, Lil Wayne. Yeah, Lil Wayne's going
to be there. So Skip Bayless is going to have
a lot of people to I wonder, like, what percentage
of Skip Bayless and Michael Irvin's conversation will be about
the Cowboys. You think in one hundred and five percent
or one hundred and eight percent of their conversation. I
(05:51):
feel like that's kind of where that is.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
I mean good for Skip though, I mean obviously he's
very well revered.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Oh and Keishaan Keshan is going to be part.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
I did hear that. Yeah, I did hear that.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Now that that mean that's a that's I mean, that's
strong group. I'll tell you that it is strong personalities.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I also, I to your point on Skip Bayless, there's
a lot of people like to take shots at him because, oh,
what you know, Skip is this and he's that, and
they go after him because of the stuff he does
on social media and on Twitter and all that. Anybody
who's ever talked to Skip Bayless, anybody that that I know,
like Rob Parker and Skip Bayless are good friends. Skip
(06:36):
Bayless is Rob Parker over to their house for the
holidays every year because they know Rob doesn't have a
fan Rob Parker, and so Skip comes and and brings
Rob in and says, hey, come come hang out with
my wife. But but my whole point is, so when
you hear like all these people that like take shots
and say, oh, well he's this bad guy and this
(06:57):
evil guy and all this. I don't know. That seems
like a lot of people who have options who are
signing up to work with Skip Bayless. Like, I just
wonder how much of it is a bit overblown. And
the media got a hold of, you know, taking Shannon
sharp side, and no matter what happened, they were always
going to sign with Shannon. It's kind of where feeling Why.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Why is that you're gonna hit that button? P fet
What are you talking about? Is that? Who are they?
What do you always seem to sat.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
With you people?
Speaker 2 (07:29):
How could you and you know that, oh no, you
know that Skip Bayless has a black friend that he
has over for every holiday because he has no family.
Sounds like the blind side to me. I didn't know
they So they about the hop Rob Parker and and
take his right. They're gonna take him to Rob Story
in Hollywood, and Rob was hot, try to shake him
(07:54):
down a little bit later on after.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
They're gonna end the conservatorship? Is this over now?
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Samuel L. Jackson is all play? Rob Parker?
Speaker 1 (08:03):
You are the official odd couple side piece.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Who is gonna play Skip Bayless? Who's gonna play Skip
Bayless in the movie. That's that's what I want to know.
Who's who's Skip Bayless? McConaughey, I'm a woman, Matthew McConaughey.
Why he's too cool.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
We're gonna take hold on.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
They're both white? Hold on? But well that was Skip
Skip Skip is cool? Though, Skip is cool? And then
I guess Lil Wayne would play Lil Wayne in the movie.
He play himself in the movie. Okay, well makes sense.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
I mean, listen, I just I'm I'm excited to see
this rotating cast. I think it's gonna be a lot
of fun.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
When does it launch? When is it coming on?
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I think next week.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Because they've been off for a while. Haven't you listened?
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Football seasons coming up fast? I mean, we're a week
zero for college football, you know. You know what I've
wondered about this though, for anybody playing any of these
teams playing, and this goes above and beyond Notre Dame
and Navy that are playing this week, did you ever
feel totally prepared for your first college football game every year?
Because it seems like I did. I don't like to
(09:18):
me it just feels like it comes up so fast
and then you're just hitting. There's no preseason game, there's
no nothing.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
You just Jonas Jonas because you've never gone through a
college training camp.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Oh yeah, you didn't play the game.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
You didn't you didn't play the game. I did say
you didn't play the game. I did say from the
bottom of the deck. I didn't say you never played
this game. Say I think it's funny, Well I didn't.
That'll be ten dollars. I said you never went through
a college training camp.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah, but you don't have any preseason games.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Bro. The intensity of college training camps are I mean,
it's believe you me. I was just in state college.
And the way them dudes looked coming out of out
of training camp, like they're ready to do anything and everything,
(10:16):
but continue to be in training camp. Like it's like
I talked to my son yesterday. He goes and my
son is like, you know, if you know Keno, Keno
is one of the most like buttoned up dudes, like
like about his business, laser sharp, focused, ultra competitive, all
the like checks off all the good good dude boxes,
(10:38):
and he's like, Dad, I'm burned out. I started laughing
because he's played juco football for the last two years.
Like he's only played football for three years. This is
his third year playing football. He's been a basketball player.
And I was like, what's what's the most challenging thing.
He goes it's just high intensity every day, every day
(11:01):
and I'm like, bro, it's an everyday sport. You got
to bring it every day. That's where people that's where
people go wrong, what their estimations are like. It's not
oh I just needed to make it through this practice,
or oh I needed to just make it through training camp,
or oh I just needed to make it through this game.
(11:22):
It's every day and those who are able to sustain
that level every day are the ones that thrive. And
in college, the reason why you're prepared for the first game,
unlike how it is and the pros, is because you're
really not going to have to play four quarters in
(11:44):
college if you're a major, major program. Now, if you're
a smaller program and you're going up against one of
those major programs, I don't really know what that looks like. Now,
if you're one of those teams that's going to come
out and play a big game right out the gate, like, okay,
Penn State West Virginia. That's a big game right out
the gate. Two competitive teams, you know, two teams that
(12:07):
can can make some noise.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
I know a couple of guys are gonna be calling
that game for radio. What about that, well, Penn State
West Virginia.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Yeah, how'd you know that? Yeah? I told you that?
Oh yeah, your guy called you.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Yeah, yeah, I got sources. Don't worry about me.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
I got it covered. Okay, I am going to call
that game. Yeah, I just I you you have to
believe like Penn State probably has a player ready to
play at every position at least too deep and in
(12:41):
some cases three deep and in some cases four deep.
Like if you think about it from that perspective, then
now you're you know, I don't have to be in
the perfect playing condition week one to play four quarters
because we have enough guys that can sub in where
you can keep guys fresh and be able to continue
(13:04):
to play. If the game were to be a tight
game that has to go down the you know, down
to the end, down to the wire to win. That's that.
Generally speaking, you don't play games so tough this early on,
but if you do, like if You're playing a navy
that that may not be as good talent wise as
(13:24):
a Notre Dame, but are ridiculously disciplined, you know, execute
the way that they execute, you know their soldiers, and
so you you have to you know, you have to
be prepared for the elements and what comes along with
that early on in the year. But I think it
could be a tab it overstated to say, how do
(13:47):
you get ready for a game when you don't have preseason,
like you don't have scrimmages or stuff like, cause you
do scrimmage like you do have real live games scrimmages
in her squad in college, you have enough players to
do it, and they they they scrimmage. So they have
scrimmages where they you know, they take guys down and
(14:08):
stuff like that. You get you get the real feel
of real reps in the practice that you know, you
have your scrimmages. So I don't think that's ever been
a problem.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
And they're banging at these practices.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Sometime, banging, clanking, clanking and banking.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington Jonas Knox with you
all right, so coming up. One team got a little
bit of good news in the NFL. Apparently somebody has
had a change of heart. We'll tell you who that
is right here on FSR.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Rainy Whinny around on worm Mon going down.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
I'm going girls.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
You know who sings this?
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Sa bar? No?
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Here does this remake? Corn?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yeah? Yeah, No, nothing new? What in your hands in
the air like you don't care?
Speaker 5 (15:16):
Looking at the new Yon Dance, New Yon Dance, New
Yond Dance. Quick now now come on, mamen emen once,
no word word.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
It's Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here by the way,
coming up in a little over five minutes from now. Word,
There's been a little bit of a rebirth in the
world of sports. Something you grew up on that all
of a sudden is back in a big way. We
will explain what that is coming up here a little
over five minutes from now here on a Fox Sports
(15:48):
Radio by the way, speaking of back in a big way,
Apparently Josh Jacobs is the Las Vegas Raiders and they're
running back who's coming off a career year. He had
yet to sign his franchise tag. He's been wanting a
long term deal. There was some speculation where he get traded.
He is not showing up to training camp at all,
and the Raiders running back is expected to report to
(16:10):
the team before Week one. That according to Vinnie bon
Signor of the Las Vegas Review Journal. And so Josh Jacobs,
much like Jonathan Taylor, who was unhappy with his team,
but apparently he's happy enough to possibly sign that ten
point one million dollars franchise tag and play running back
for the Raiders this year, which is this always kind
(16:32):
of felt like this is where this was headed and
this was the direction they were going to go. So
good news for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
There that is good news.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Who could use any bit of good news they could
get at this point in time. I'm just saying it.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
In a preseason in that division, anything can happen.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
In that division, though, I feel like the Raiders are
kind of up against it.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Well he likes one, two, three, four, five injuries away
from being able to like that's it, have a chance,
that's it, six seven, eight nine.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
You imagine going to do a season as an NFL
team being.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Like, man, listen, guys, I know we're gonna do a
lot of sprints. We're gonna lift a lot of these heavyweights,
and we're gonna run a lot of these plays. Now,
I gotta tell you, I don't know why the hell
we're gonna do it, because we're probably gonna get our
asses kicked by all the other good teams in our division.
But I can say this, if we prepare for that
(17:31):
unexpected circumstance of maybe one of those guys gets hurt,
maybe Patrick Mahomes goes down and we get to play
a Patrick Mahomes List team. Maybe Herbert goes down and
we get to play a Herbert List team. I don't
know how much we gotta worry about the other one,
the other guy, but I just say this, We're gonna
(17:54):
do all of these things, and we're gonna work hard
just just in case one of those unforeseen injuries take
place and then we got a chance. Guys, All right, Okay,
clap it up, Let's break it up. Everybody go get
you closed on, Let's go get this work in, and
let's let's prepare and hope that injury takes place.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
You know, you don't what I've wondered about.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
That would be a dope team team meeting. Like man,
I walked out. I joy, like, hey, man, coach kept
it real, didn't he? You know what.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
One of the things that I was thinking about that division.
There's a chance and I don't believe that this is
the case, but I have seen this sort of thrown
out there. There's a chance that Russell Wilson just might
be washed. I mean like that, that's a real possibility.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
I mean I said that.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
And and like Nathaniel Hacking getting all the blame for
everything that went wrong last year, that well he deserves,
he definitely did. But Russell Wilson lost all this weight
in the off season and.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
All I mean, Russell Wilson could have made him not
lose his job like he could have. He could have
overcome the coaching. You know, that's what players do, they
overcome coaches.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
I just I wonder, and we were running short on
time with Albert Brier, but I just I wonder what
Sean Payton's confidence level is in Russell Wilson really though,
like not not what he maybe says publicly, but I
wonder what it really is, because if we're going to
be honest about this, had the Chargers job been open,
(19:26):
Sean Payton's taken that job and he's not taking the
Denver job.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Was the taking that way?
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yeah, Like this feels like Sean Payton took this job
because it may have been the best, you know, one available,
and he didn't want to wait around another year to
come back, and he didn't want to do broadcasting again.
So maybe that was the plan. But it wasn't like
Denver was option a for Sean Payton, like he wanted
that Chargers job. Like that was the speculation. And so
(19:54):
I just wonder if there's the potential, if you're looking
for hope for the Raiders that maybe Denver's quarterback is
maybe he's seen better days. That's what this is.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
We're gonna find out. I mean, I'm not going to
cast the judgment on him. He has the opportunity to
prove that he's got a lot of game left in
him or you know, he doesn't. And and that's the
beauty of this game and this sport is you get
the opportunity to prove prove your supporters correct and prove
(20:27):
your naysayers incorrect. But in the end, I mean that
comes down to, you know what he does with it.
If I were a betting man, I would probably go
down the lane of just playing it safe and say that,
you know, I would expect much of the same. They
(20:48):
they got some issues with their receivers, you know, obviously
with injuries or health health issues. I just don't I
don't know what he's I'm not certain of what Russell
Wilson will be for the Denver Broncos. And and for
one reason or another, I mean, listen, from everything, I
(21:10):
don't know him, never met him, have no beef with
him or anything. I just always like to shoot from
the hip, like be on my my no cat no
cat rule, you know what I mean. And you know,
just just looking at how everything played out last year,
I think the biggest thing that he has to do
(21:32):
is become a person again. And and sometimes that's hard
to do when you're not a person for so long.
You're Russ. You're danger You're dangerous Russ, like your your
Sierra's husband, like you're whatever it is that that is
circulating through his mind. He's gotta he's got to re
(21:53):
re redefine that because what I felt like I saw
last year, it wasn't so much that Russ can't play anymore,
it's that is his act. Has his act not been
accepted or bought into in Denver by the players. You
can't just come in like, Okay, you come in with
(22:14):
a resume, that's great, But you can't just come into
a locker room and be a dude that is so
high lifted and removed that you can't relate to the
guys that you're working with the whole office thing. That
probably set a tone. It probably set a tone like
(22:35):
did he probably? I mean, is it possible that he
was walking around like he was better than dudes? It's possible.
Is it possible that he could have been perceived as
being an arrogant dude? It's possible. Is it possible that
he could have been perceived as somebody who's condescending, especially
if you're on the sideline as a quarterback telling people
other grown ass men to chant run, run, run past
(22:58):
past past. I mean, I just feel like he has
to humanize himself again in order to make the connection
that would be necessary for all the elements to come
together and work in his favor of having success. I
think that's the bigger issue versus is his talent level
(23:21):
diminished or is his skill leveled down. I don't think
it's about his talent or his skill. I just think
that it's more so about those other elements.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
It's two pros and a cup of Joe here. Fox
Sports Radio. Coming up in about fifteen minutes from now,
we'll have another edition of You and of You out,
But right now we welcome in Jason Howarth. He is
the senior vice president of Marketing and Athlete Relations for
Panini America. Kind enough to spend a few minutes this
year on a Tuesday morning. Jason, what's happening? How are you?
(23:50):
Jonas and LeVar?
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Hi? Jason, Hey, Jonas?
Speaker 6 (23:52):
Hey, Hey, jodyl Luvar. How are you guys doing all right?
Speaker 7 (23:55):
Good?
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Yeah, we're good. Man. I get it. Just I'm curious
because obviously I grew up and the trading card form
that we dealt with back in the day was, man,
you buy a pack of cards, you get something. If
you buy baseball cards, you'd get this this crappy piece
of gum that felt like it was going to break
your teeth when you bit into it. And then you
go and you buy these slides and you see what
(24:17):
they're all worth, and it felt like, Okay, well those
days are gone. And then over the past couple of
years it's exploded again. NFTs trading cards, collectibles, memorabilia. I know,
you guys at Panini America are crushing it right now.
When did you see that, all of a sudden, this
(24:37):
was back trading cards, This entire world was back in
a big way, like it's man over the past couple
of years, When did you first notice it?
Speaker 6 (24:46):
Yeah, that's a great question, I would say. You know,
the Paninian market came into the US market in two
thousand and nine with the NBA license and the and
got the NFL license with their acquisition of Don Rus,
And over that period of time, we really started to
rebuild what collectibles was about about, really honing in on
(25:06):
that level of scarcity and how important scarcity was to
maintain that overall value, taking it and taking it away
from what happened, you know, when we were kids and
having that bad bubble gum. Uh and you know, what
I say is, you know that that growth, that growth
in the category where we really started to see it.
I always kind of point towards the Jason Tatum NBA
(25:30):
Rookie class. You went from the Tatum Rookie class to
the Luca danc Trey Young Rookie class, to the John
Moran and Zion Williamson Rookie class and then this you
know massive you know propellant. You know, this massive movement
and excitement around the category with case breaking and things
that were happening in that space, which you know case breaking,
(25:51):
which is where people are opening up product online and
sharing it and and and purchasing the product online is
part of a larger community.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (26:01):
That that started to happen nine years ago, but it
really took off over the last five years.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Jason, how is Panini adjusting and adapting to the NIL era? Like,
what what has it? What has been the main focus
or the main approach that you guys have taken to
to be able to navigate in and grow and expand
within this NIAL era.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
It's it's a great question with our you know, we're
two years into NIL. I think the first year we
were all kind of you know getting our seed, you know,
dipped into the water to see how it was all
going to play out. Obviously, lots of things, lots of
movement in the space. Continues to you know, kind of
evolve in the space that you know, on a daily
basis from from an NIL perspective, but you know, over
(26:51):
the last year we really honed in on dialing up
you know, guys that are you know, have proven themselves
at the collegiate level. Some guys that are also you know,
built up some excitement coming into the you know, coming
into the collegiate space. So you know, guys like Quinn
Yours that you know who you know who we signed
as an exclusive athlete. You know, guys like Caleb Williams,
(27:13):
Guys like JJ McCarthy and kJ Jefferson. And then you know,
as I mentioned, those guys that are just stepping on
the fields for the first time. You know, guys like
Arch Manning at Texas who's exclusive with US, or Zion
Branch at UFC, who's going to be a really exciting
wide receiver to watch this year. We've really just honed
in on the guys that we think are going to
drive collectibility.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Jason Howarth joining US here on Fox Sports Radio, Senior
vice president of Marketing and Athlete Relations for Panini America
with us here on FSR. SO, I want to ask you,
as you mentioned, you know, Quinn, Yours, arch Manning, Caleb Williams.
I mean those are you know, big names. Caleb Williams
is going to be the number one overall pick in
the draft most likely. I mean he's you know, you know,
(27:55):
Heisman Trophy winner and some people are talking about maybe
he wins it again. How do you guys identify players? Yeah? Right,
How do you guys identify the players that you want
to partner with? How far in advance is it a
couple of years? Are you looking even you know, previous
to when they get to college? How do you go
(28:15):
about that process?
Speaker 6 (28:18):
It's a great question. I would say that traditionally pre
nil we you know, we're able to really you know,
basketball and football are a little bit different from a
dynamic point of view. Those basketball kids are playing, you know,
at the collegiate level for six months before they turn pro.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
You know.
Speaker 6 (28:33):
On the football side, obviously there's more time, you know,
to to kind of evaluate players. So usually you're looking
at them in the year two, you know, but now
with the with the onset of NIL, we really need
to be in front of it. So it's you know,
looking at those kids that are coming in from the
high school level, like Arc like that, you know, like
Zach Zachariah Branch, you know, seeing what they do on
(28:56):
the field. They're seeing what they do it you know
some of these you know, all star games for lack
of a better definition, how they perform. And then you know,
looking and talking to people out out there that watch
the games, uh to to get a better sense of
who they are. So we're we're starting earlier and earlier.
You know, It's it's really you know that you know,
(29:17):
what are they doing at their senior year? You know
where they committed? What are they doing at some of
these you know events like elead eleven and and other
you know, other programs like that.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Do you guys ever anticipate and because it's it probably
would be risky and and maybe not worth the risk
business wise, bottom line wise, But I'm just curious. The
NIL also affects high school also, and and you you
mentioned guys like art and stuff like that. When you
get a when you get almost like a can't miss
(29:50):
name or a legacy guy like like say LeVar Arrington
the second uh, and and and they're coming out and
they're they're like highly touted. Are you guys going to
make a move on that part of the industry or
will you guys leave that kind of relatively like untouched.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
Great question, LeVar I would say that there would be
zero risk for LeVar Arrington the second, So we'd be
happy to jump on that. Okay, no, but but but
what I would say is, you know, we we've already
started to move in that direction in some cases on
the basketball side. You know, earlier this year, we signed
Trey Johnson, who's going into his senior year. He transferred
(30:31):
from Texas, uh, you know, from a Texas program to
Link Academy in Branson, Missouri. So he's one of our
exclusive athletes on the basketball side, projected to be a
you know, top player in the twenty twenty five class. So,
you know, I would say we're already there on the
basketball side, you know, because we have to be. You know,
(30:52):
the the dynamic that's really interesting from an ANIOL perspective
is that every state is different in terms of, you know,
what you can and can do with high school athletes.
In terms of whether they have rights for their own name,
image and likeness. And we believe every player should be
able to, you know, generate revenue off of their own name,
image and likeness regardless of where they are, you know,
(31:15):
So so we have to balance out, you know, what
are the rules and the guidelines across fifty states, because
it's not you know, it's not universal. So we're looking
at that. And then you you have other people that
are making decisions, like Trey where he's decided, you know,
and certainly like Quinn, you know, who was in a
similar situation on the football side in Texas, you know,
(31:35):
leaving school early to go make sure that they could
you know, do something with their with their Nile rights.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
