tyrack dot com The way tire buying should be. Man, Jeff, So,
(01:03):
I'm looking at three guys in the NFL, yes, that
have made things way more difficult than they ever needed
to be.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Okay, let's hear them.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
So we've got Jim Ursay, Yeah right. Colt Steam owner
has been a just a masterclass of what not to do,
how not to handle a situation this offseason with his
running back Jonathan Taylor. You've also have Stefan Diggs, right
Bill's wide receiver. He had to deny a report this
(01:34):
week that he wanted out of Buffalo might have stemmed
from I don't know, getting kicked out of practice the
first day, because he's still ticked off five months later
about a lack of targets in the playoff loss against
the Bengals. So just Stefon Diggs is on the board.
And there's also Ron rivera Washington Commander's head coach, who
(01:54):
just a couple of weeks ago said, now all these
players are complaining about Eric b enemy who hasn't been
ahead coach, and that's part of the reason why he
doesn't know how to kind of like shift gears a
little intense shocking. That would be a big deal with
the enemy interviewing fifteen times for a head coaching gig
not landing one of them. So if you look at
these three guys, who has gotten it wrong the most,
(02:18):
who has made life more difficult for their team? Is
it Jim Orse making life more difficult for the Colts?
Is it Stefon Diggs making life more difficult than it
needs to be for the Bills. Or is it Ron
Rivera making life more difficult for the commanders?
Speaker 4 (02:32):
It's Ron Rivera who hadn't Well, I'll tell this in
the moment. It's Ron Rivera. Right, he had no reason
at all to make those comments about Eric Benemy like
that was I was self inflicted because no one was
asking him. He volunteered the information himself. Yeah, there was
no purpose for him to say those things. Now, obviously,
(02:53):
how they play this year will determine whether or not
we really care about those comments. Right, you know, if
he plays well, no one will care. They'll just kind
of chalk up to Roger and have said that. But
he didn't have to say those things. It was very
odd that he did, Like, there was no reason to
say that at all. And uh, the jim irsay thing.
(03:17):
I mean, this is jim irsay man like he he
is what he is to me. It doesn't change in
all of the Jonathan Taylor situation, Like Jonathan Taylor is
still going to be in a situation whether or say
open his mouth or not. In my opinion, again, it
didn't change very much of how I feel about that situation.
Who's the other guy you mentioned, the third guy? Oh yeah,
(03:40):
he's a wide receiver. Man, he's got her debut. They
didn't bother me very much.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah. Look, Ron Rivera, just volunteering that information is just
it makes zero sense whatsoever?
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (03:57):
And how you gotta think about this? What's most likely
to linger when real games are being played. Listen, if
the enemy who's intense is a little intense during a
game and he's having words with Terry McLaurin or whoever,
we're gonna revisit this and it's been Oh here we go,
Eric beenemy again. Intense, maybe too intense, YadA, YadA, YadA.
(04:21):
It's just it was completely unneeded. I also think that
Stefan Diggs, as ridiculous as this sounds, it's already a
thing right now there are he's got to deny reports
he wants out of Buffalo, Like what happens if the
Bills lose too straight? What happens if Stefan digs a
little animated on the sideline? Again, you're just making life
more difficult than it needs to be. Winning in the
(04:42):
NFL is hard enough. Absolutely, you don't need to start
like setting hurdles in front of yourself as you're running
a race, you know, and that's what each of these
guys have done.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah. Again, the Stefan Diggs thing, I kind of just
chalk up as as uh wide receivers, man like part.
They have a very individualistic job, right like they're by
themselves on an island. They are, They're just kind of
they're kind of just they sort of have to have
(05:11):
that cockiness to play that position. And so I don't
really mind if it doesn't become distraction. I who knows
if it's actually distraction for for Buffalo. But they didn't
bother me as much as as other positions acting that way.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Nah, here you're great on a curve a little bit, right,
Like it's the wide receiver. But the thing I always
go back to is, hey, if you get upset that
you're not getting your targets, especially in a playoff game,
I get that, this is July, this is five months
after that, and you're still bent. You know? That to
(05:47):
me is a gigantic red flag of what happens if
you lose too straight, what happens if you don't get
your targets in week eleven or whatever. You know, are
you gonna be able to handle that? Are you gonna
be team guy instead of me guy? And so I
can't help but have serious questions about that. Hey man,
you got slack if it's during a game, but five
(06:09):
months after the fact and this is still drama, Like,
come on, man, that's too much. And yeah, maybe you
maybe you deduct a few points because Jim Mersey is
just crazy. But that whole thing, goodness, you talk about
making things way more difficult than they ever needed to be.
The Giants didn't do that with Saquon Barkley. The Raiders.
They're expecting Josh Jacobs to report before week one if
(06:34):
if Mark Davis had done a Jim mersay, I don't
know where that situation lies, right. So it's just Jim
Mersey completely mismanaged that whole thing with his tweets and
his comments and his response to that. It has just
been just a comedy of errors from that guy.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Yeah, but I think we're in the same situation no
matter what he says, Jon and Taylor will uh will
play for them this season and that'll be the end
of it. Like that's just what it is. So it
was actually reported right now by Tom pellisarrow NFL Network
(07:11):
that the Raiders are not going to trade Josh Jacobs
at all and hope he shows up for week one,
as you said that, So yeah, I mean there's no
there's no reason if you're Jim Mercy to antagonize Jonathan Taylor.
That's what it does, is it turns off the rest
of the building. Now, I understand that that money and
(07:37):
you know that that kind of cures all all evils,
right when it comes to the relationship with the owner
and player. Right if you were to pay Jonathan Taylor,
and I think they would all forget about it. And
but it's not. But the rest of your of your
organization and the team is looking at your comments like
what is our owner is what is happening right now?
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Right?
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Why is he being so vocal about this? What is
the the reason behind this? And I think that that's
where say is airing, right, is he's not understanding how
this plays with the rest of the team, right, right,
And the look that this you know that that that
this shows the rest of the players on the organization
and and look, players obviously playing don't understand you know though,
(08:18):
the whole running back value argument. Obviously they want everyone
to get paid, which I totally understand, but you're turning
off the rest of your organization with these comments, and
I just it's it's it's it's unforced error. Right. You
don't have to You did not have to do this
to yourself, Sam Rover. By the way, who know who?
Just volunteer now. Again, the difference is obviously if they
(08:39):
play well, who cares? But you're right though, the second
there's argument in the sidelines, and Eric the enemy is firing. Man,
he will argue with people on the sidelines, right, that's
that's it's okay, that's what he's He's done it before
and it'll do it again. I have no problem with that.
But that'll blow over fast if they're good.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah. I love your point about Jim Mers because it's
bigger than just Nathan Taylor trying to get his long
term extension and the Colts unwilling to do it the
way Jim Irsay has handled that situation. You're right, there
are players in the locker room like man, they're trading
JT like this. How are they gonna treat me? You
(09:14):
just creating drama. You want to limit distractions in drama,
not created and The thing that's so stupid with Jim Mersay,
like you said, it is the unforced error. It is
completely unnecessary. Everything regarding the running back market is in
the team's favor, yeah, everything, And yet that wasn't enough.
He's like, man, these agents talking about running backs getting
(09:37):
more money, I don't like. Let me Let me go
to Twitter real quick and just fire one off fast.
He had everything in his favor, that still wasn't enough.
He just wanted to drop the people's elbow on running
backs just one more time. Just what these freaking agents
are getting under my skin? It was so stupid, made
absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
None, And he can't just he can't help himself, man,
he can't. He's just going to continue to undermine his
own his own interests by opening his mouth.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Hey, by the way, how about what you look at
the Colts and Anthony Richardson. He will start the next
preseason game. Why why would he sit out against the
Bears and then play the following week. I don't get that.
I don't understand that.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
So they claim that, they claim that the joint practices
basically handle you'll handle the work for that week, and
maybe they're not doing joint practice this week. But like,
I just don't I honestly don't buy that. I've done
some of those practices before. I don't think they take
the place of an actual game getting reps, which I mean,
(10:47):
I you know, I just I don't buy that. I
know coaches feel that way. You know, the preseason rep
thing is interesting to me because you have a situation
where you have these older coaches, Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin,
Pete Carroll, Bill Belichick. They play, they play there, they
play their players in the preseason, and younger coaches just don't.
(11:08):
And it's like, well, I mean, I get it, but
you know, maybe these older coaches are onto something here. Okay,
they want They won a lot of football games, and
you know Ady Reeds starts fast every year. Maybe that's
why you know he plays his guys in the preseason.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Yeah, Like, if Mahomes is getting a few drives, I
would think it would make sense to get Anthony Richardson
out there with his limited college experience.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
Rogers played three drives. I want to say, no, he's
played four drives. The starting offense has played five because
they want to work the young guy. So like Andy
Reid will keep in his starting offensive line, typically one
more series to let a backup quarterback in opportunity to
play with the one offense, which is actually, I think
pretty genius. So I don't think an offensive line has
(11:52):
had almost more like a good offensive line, like the
Chiefs have had more, and the Eagles don't practice, you know,
don't play preseason games. He's off its line, which is
top three. NFL might have the most reps of any
unit who's any good this preseason because they value that,
the know the ability to have those guys play together
and work with the It's pretty it's a smart thing.
(12:13):
I think to get your backup quarterback sort of one
series with the one offensive line because that might have
to play at some point this year, and give him
opportunity with the.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Ones totally absolutely makes sense. I like that approach. Hey,
coming up next on Two Bros and a Cup of
Joe Live from the tire Reck dot Com Studios. We've
got some season win totals here, Jeff in the NFL
and the money it's jockeying, you know. We're seeing some movement,
a couple of teams moving on up, moving on up
(12:46):
in terms of their season win total. So We'll go
team by team if the money being bet makes sense,
if they're on the right side or not. That's on
the way. I'm Brian No, He's Jeff Schwartz. This is

We love the season win total bets in the NFL,
and the money is moving. The money is moving, my friend.
(15:02):
So if you compare where the money was, where the
odds were on August first compared to now, you see
where the money is going. So I'm gonna throw some
out and you tell me if you think the money
is moving in the right direction or not. Okay, so
the money is moving on these teams to the over.
So do you agree the Dallas Cowboys their season win
(15:26):
total is nine and a half, the money is moving
to the over that.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
I like it?
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Do you like that?
Speaker 4 (15:31):
I do like it. I think that if you were
to look at the Cowboys and the success they'd had
the last couple of years and the roster they have,
I would say, yes, this is a good movement. However,
the Cowboys are such a public play at all times
that it just kind of I think clouds sometimes the
(15:52):
ability to want to wager on them. But I think
if you choose the over under, I would go over here.
Nine and a half, right, yep?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Nine and a half. Yeah, that's a loaded roster man.
Twelve wins last season, It's like losing Zeke is not
a dramatic loss, you know. And Dak missed five games
and threw a ton of picks. I see them getting
to double digit wins, so do I.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
Yeah, Dak socket throws many picks this year, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
How about green Bay seven and a half? The money
is moving to the over. I don't like that. Where
are you Green Bay? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:23):
I think seven and a half is a perfect number
for them. I mean, do you see them winning once?
Speaker 2 (16:30):
More?
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Likely? Seven games? Or nine games?
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Seven game?
Speaker 4 (16:33):
Seven to me? Right?
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah? Yeah. I look at that roster and I say, Okay,
Aaron Rodgers took a step back. He had back to
back MVP seasons, and his numbers took a step back
last season. What is Jordan Love gonna do in his
first season as a starting quarterback? Is he gonna do
better than Aaron Rodgers last year? I don't. I don't think.
So that's just where I begin.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
The music's on now I like it?
Speaker 2 (16:54):
No, finally on Sam he started three minutes ago. Sorry,
got that.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
All right?
Speaker 2 (17:03):
How about the Saints? Nine and a half? The money
is moving to the over I think that's a good
way to look at it. Do you see ten or
more wins or nine or fewer? I see nine or
fewer myself. Maybe I'm just met because my Saints let
me down last year and a heads up met with you.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
So I just look at at the roster and at
Dennis Allen, and the roster is you know, the one
thing Saints fans always say is the salar cap is
an imaginary thing talker doesn't matter, right, Brian, the salar
cap is not a thing that we worry about a
new I'm like, well, how about when you lose a
lot of players, And I think Derek Carr is you know,
(17:43):
he's probably a little underrated for his career, but kind
of doesn't come up in big moments. I would not
bet on a Derek Carr Dennis Allen combination to go over.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Really, so you're you're going thumbs down on them.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
I'm not going under either, but I'm not just not
wager on the over here.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Yeah, just to stay away for you, Yes, if I
had to, I'd go under if I had to.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
As you don't know, Brian and I have a season
long bad again this year where the Panthers win more
games than the Saints.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
We very well could and uh, for the people that
don't know about this goodness, we had five hundred dollars
Saints versus Panthers, who wins more games over the course
of the entire season, And it came down to Week eighteen,
those two teams are playing each other and the Saints
(18:35):
have a chance to kick the winning field goal. They
miss it. The Panthers then moved down they kicked the
winning field both field.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Goals at the end. Did they both like have back
to back field goal misses the Panthers end up eventually
winning at the end or.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Over time, I'm sure, but I do know the Panthers
they made theirs. Whether they missed before, I'm not sure,
but they made theirs at the Adam.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
We were and we were together in Cincinnati watching that unfold.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Right, so we're doing the morning Show countdown to kickoff
leading up to all the games. Jeff literally puts five
to one hundred dollars bills right in front of me.
The games in New Orleans, we both felt going in
that the Saint's probably gonna win that game, and it
did not work in my favor. Did not work out.
How about the Titans seven and a half? The money
(19:23):
is moving toward the over. You think the Titans get
to at least eight wins this year?
Speaker 4 (19:28):
So this is a vable I trust the head coach wager, right,
because do we know who their quarterbacks are? Guys? Have
you looked at the roster of the Titans right now?
Speaker 2 (19:39):
It's quarterman of Hill to begin subject to change.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
I know his season total for passing yards is three thousand.
I bet the under because I don't think they play
all season. Wow, it's not ideal obviously. And then if
not him, it's now lifetime sponsorship with Hellman's Mayonnaise, will
le This Willis or Malik Willis. And I'm not sure
(20:05):
you've noticed the Tons offensive line might be the worst
the NFL right now. Like it's just they're in a
bad place offensively. Derrick Henry, for as good as he is,
do you know what his You know, his rushing number
this year is like eleven hundred yards not even a lot.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Wow. Wow, that's low for him. Yeah yeah, wear and
tear o line.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
I'm on the the no on this one, you're on
the under yeaow. And I like again, I like Rabel.
I think I mean, he dude, he plays it every year.
They play the Chiefs, and they play him like the
toughest they all season, right them in the Bengals. I'm
all for Rabel. I just think that when you look
at at quarterbacks, man, I mean, how many when do
(20:47):
you get? Guys? This could often be an easy equation,
right you look at at quarterbacks, the teams are playing
and the quarterback on your own roster, and I go,
I go, I go to this all the time when
we do this on my podcast, is like look at
when look at at again the quarterbacks they play. But
also when you go pick division winners, Brian, the division
(21:10):
winner most years is the one with the best quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
It's the way it goes. Yeah, often times.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
So I just don't see Tennessee winning a lot of games.
Not because I don't like their staff or their defense.
They don't have a good quarterback.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Jeff. Can you imagine I don't know what the season
win total for the Titans was last year, but the
Titans are seven and three. Imagine if you have over
seven and a half, over eight and a half, whatever
it was, you're sitting at seven and three. You're counting
your cash. They lose their final seven games in a row.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
I think I had I think I had them no playoffs.
I love it, and I thought, I can look up
my win totals from my stretching from last year. I
think I had them like no playoffs, and I think
I hit that obviously, Yeah, I'd ran it. Ryan Tannehill
under again passing the yards that was very you know,
that's very good for me.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Man.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
You had to sweat that one out because they had
a chance in week eighteen, right when you're in against Jacksonville.
That's man, that was a wild bet, no doubt. We'll
get to how the money has moved to the under
on the season win totals and just a bit first though,
Eddie Garcia our main man here to spin us around
(22:22):
the landscape. What's going on here? Eddie?
Speaker 4 (22:24):
Thank you, Brian.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
We'll start off with news from the NFL, where we
have some clarity on the quarterback situation for the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers, at least to start the season. They have
named Baker Mayfield as their QB to start the year.
He won the competition with Kyle Trask, who will serve
as the reserve for at least the start of the season.
In baseball games of note, we had Justin Verlander tossing
six shoutout at nings for Houston. He's now three and
(22:46):
one since returning to the Astros Is. The team gets
a seven to three winner with the Red Sox. For Houston,
they are just a half game back of Texas for
the top spot in the Al West. The Rangers lost
their six in a row, falling too the Diamondback six
to three. Meanwhile, Arizona has moved into a wildcard spot
in the National League, but now a half game up
on San Francisco. The Giants fall out of a playoff
spot for now after losing to the Phillies four to three.
(23:06):
Trade Turner with the walkoff hit to win that one
for Philadelphia. Red's over the Angels four to three, Cincinnati
just a half game out of that last wildcard spot
in the National League. Mike Trout did return to the
lineup for the Angels from injury. He was one for
four with an infield single. Marlins are one game out
of that last wildcard spot in the NL. A shout
out the Padres three now things starter Hey sus Lozardo
and three levers combining on a three hit shutout. He
(23:28):
had the Rays rolling over the Rockies twelve to four,
while the Orioles lost to the Blue Jays six to
three in ten innings. So Tampa based now two back
of Baltimore for first in the AL East. Mariners make
it eight wins in a row with a six to
three win over the White Sox. Seattle still is one
game up on Toronto for the last wildcard spot in
the America. They're also just one game out in the
AL West race as well. For the White Sox, they
(23:50):
fired their vice president Kenny Williams and their GM Rick
Hahn earlier in the day battle of division leaders in Milwaukee,
with the Brewers topping the Twins seven to three. Meanwhile,
the Cubs lost to the Tigers eight to six, so
Chicago is now three and a half games back in
Milwaukee for the first spot in the Nlcentral, but the
Cubs are currently holding one of the two final wildcard
spots in the National League. Dodgers lose to the Guardians
(24:13):
six to three. Now Cleveland has to win the division
to make the playoffs. They're not going to be a
wildcard team, and they did gain some ground on Minnesota,
but they're five back in the AL Central as the
stands right now. Braves edge of the Mets three two,
and the Yankees lose to the Nationals two to one.
That's nine lost in a row now for the Yankees,
their longest losing skid since nineteen eighty two. Now back
(24:33):
to Jeff Schwartz and Brian Ownetirack dot Com, Fox Sports
Radio Studios.
Speaker 2 (24:37):

I should have put Seattle in my parlay instead of
the Dodgers. I just thought they're going up against Cinderguard.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Well, you haven't helpful, you haven't done any any bets
on the Giants lately.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Oh gosh, those stupid giants. Many they wrecked the one
parlay giving up the two run homer against the Braves
a few nights ago, and then they, uh, you know,
next day they're like, let's beat the Braves even though
Brian doesn't have a dime on them.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
You know, by anyone ever told you need a little
bit of help too much? No, I used to. I
used to do. I used to gamble daily on baseball,
and it is.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
That's very it's very stressful there. Listen, man, there are
lulls in every sport that you bet. Like you've said
it before. With the NFL, there will be a week
maybe two where you just can't win. You can't win. Yeah,
it happens, but you got to weather the storm. Jeff,
just got to weather the storm. That's all. Just go
(25:51):
a little smaller, maybe less parlays. Just just start stacking wins.
That's all you gotta do. Stack wins. Okay, let's get
back to this season win totals in the NFL. So
the money is moving. The money is moving here compared
to August first until now we can see where the
bets are coming in on him. Now we got to
(26:12):
pick the right side. Is the money on the right
side or the wrong side? So the money is moving
with these teams to the under. Okay, So do you
think this makes sense? Denver is at eight and a half,
the bets are into the under. Do you like that
or do you like the other side?
Speaker 4 (26:31):
I would take the under. I don't buy this Russell
wilson resurgence. I think that his style of play doesn't
fit at all what Champagne has historically done with an offense.
I'm not saying Champagne can't change what he does, but
I just don't believe in in Russell Wilson's ability to
(26:53):
be a different quarterback now after all these years. I
mean that the idea of kind of well, we'll run
the football will keep out of his hands. I mean
great until you until you need a third down conversion.
I like some of the new offensive line editions, not
all of them. I mean, Mike McGlinchey has issues past protecting.
I just haven't like I canna see Russell Wilson, you know,
(27:15):
just playing this much much more functional offense and go well.
Before I decide that I'm buying the Broncos, I just
have to. I think Russell Wilson. I don't think players
have a down year like he hadn't just bounce back
like it. It just doesn't work that way for the
(27:36):
most part. When you start going downhill at his age,
you start going downhill, and now he can bounce back
enough to be respectable and not play as poorly. And
I think he won't play as poorly because just by
having Sean Payne as his coach. But there's not a
there's not a magical rebirth happening with with Russell Wilson.
The all of NFL history will tell you that's just
(27:57):
not gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Yeah, Look, man, I don't think that he's gonna be
as bad, but that still might not get you to
nine wins, you know what I mean. Like he was
bad last season, I see him being better. But you're
still in a tough division. You got the Chiefs and
the Chargers. You play the AFC East from top to bottom. Yeah,
that's not easy, and so yeah, I could see the
(28:21):
under here. How about this team? How about the Colts
at six and five? The money is coming in on
the under, A bit of a wild card with the
rookie quarterback and Anthony Richardson, I think he's gonna struggle initially,
not a lot of college reps. I can see the
under more clearly than the over for the Colts, but
is that is not a tough division, so it's a
(28:42):
sneaky team, but we're not asking for double digit wins.
Seven and ten gets you home. I still see the under, though, I.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Would definitely get the under of that situation. I think
that's certainly the right play here. I'm much sure i'd
wager on the under. But you just spent the first
hour talking Anthony Richardson, like he just there's not a
lot of expectation on him this season because I think
he's just I don't think. I know he's very green,
and you know are they are? They solidified offensive line finally. Now,
(29:12):
I say there's a lot of questions still with them,
and I think that the under is I know that
their schedule is easier to be the under. It would
be the play for me.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
How about the Patriots seven and a half? The money
is coming in on the under.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
Yeah, those people are crazy.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I love the over, and I know it's a tough division,
but we spent some time talking about it today, Jeff.
I think the Patriots they're gonna be a team. It's
not a oh hey, we're playing the Patriots circle that date.
You know, Belichick's been twenty five and twenty five post Brady.
I don't know that. Oh Mac Jones, it's coming to
(29:49):
our stadium. We gotta be ready, man Like, I think
the Patriots are gonna sneak up on a few teams.
They're gonna win a couple of games because of that.
I love the over and that's a real defense.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
Agree.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Yeah, Bill O'Brien being there that helps out a lot.
How about shoot teams with high wind totals Bengals and
Eagles each at eleven and a half the money is
coming in on the under for both of them. What
do you think about that?
Speaker 4 (30:20):
I think that the Bengals under is because of Burrow's injury.
I think the Eagles under is because people look at
losing both coordinators, which I think is that is a
really big deal and thinking that they're going to struggle
because of that. I think the Bengals are really good,
and I would it's really hard to set eleven and
(30:43):
a half, right, Yep, yeah, I think that no sharp
is taking over eleven and a half wager for a season.
If we text our buddy right now, Bill Bill Krackenberger
and say, hey, man, we're taking an over for a
season in total of eleven and a half, he would
tell us to save our money right.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Right, or I'm rooting for you guys.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
I'm root for you guys.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
That's a stupid bet.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
Which means like, I don't I'm too nice. He's very nice,
not gonna tell us our bet, stink. I asked him
a middle. I was asked him a joke about a
middling a game yesterday and he's like, he's like, no, no,
don't do that. I have a great middle opportunity, man,
I have you Florida at plus seven and a half
and if Cam Risey Utah starter is announced is not
(31:27):
playing that game, the total is gonna go to like three.
That's like, I may get I can get a four
and a half point middle.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
Uh huh, but it's pretty good middle And he's like, nope,
don't do it, not like this and this and this right.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
So yeah, I understand people not taking the money, not
taking the over at eleven and a half, Like, I
get that. But in the Bengals and he goes are
both you win a lot of football games if the
wagers I wouldn't touch. I wouldn't touch any of those.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Yeah, how about these last two two teams moving up?
The Texans go from five and a half to six
and a half. Same thing with the Raiders. Why why
have the the Texans and the Raiders each jumped up
a full game there?
Speaker 4 (32:08):
I think the Raiders have a chance to have a
number one pick in the draft more than absolutely to
win the over to hit the overs.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Yeah, I think for them would be that Texans.
Speaker 4 (32:19):
I have no I have no idea.
Speaker 6 (32:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
C J.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
Stroud's rookie season, he looked better in the second preseason
game It's just there's so much to do, so much
going on, right, Like he had a couple of nicer throws,
but it was third and one, third and two on
the first drive, delay a game penalty. It's like, bro,
it's third and two, Like, just call the play, get
it going.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
I don't know this is breaking newser now, but Chris
Jones Chiefs Steven Tackle tweet out thank you God. Is
that like a is that a got a deal I'm
coming back maybe? Or is that a like just a
bless you blessing in the you.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Know, just thought well, felt spiritual this morning.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
It feels like he just probably got paid.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
It feels like you got paid. Yeah or else? They
said the rosary. I don't know one of the two.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Yeah. I know he gets paid.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
He will. It's just a matter of time. Nick Bosa,
I don't know what the Niners are doing waiting this
long to pay Nick Bosa's This dude's one of the
best pass rushers in football. They're gonna open the check book.
I don't understand why teams drag their heels before they
do what we all know they're gonna do. They're gonna
pay these.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
Guys, well, they have to they should pay these.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Guys, right, so why drag it out. I don't get that.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
Cash flow issues. I don't know. There's some weird NFL
funding rules which make no sense still, I don't know,
because you have to put the money in escrow, so
you have to it's so dumb for those who don't know.
This is a rule that was initiated back when you know,
team owners weren't weren't billionaires on the side, right, Like
Josh he has just bought the Commanders. He's a billion there,
(34:00):
Like he has a hedge fund. Like owning a team
is the second job for him, right. You know David Tepper,
the Panthers owner, owning the team is a second job
for him. There are owners like the Marra family, the
Rooney is like their job is their football team. So
they so because of you know, back in the early
fregency period, there was concern that these large signing bonuses
(34:22):
would not be paid out because owners couldn't afford it.
So they made the owners put the money into escrow
and keep it in there so they could pay the
signing bonuses over the years, or the bonuses guaranteed money
for the players. Well, they still make them do that now,
which is silly because everyone can afford it now. So
what that does is it is it hurts players because
(34:45):
owners say, well, we can't afford to keep all that cash,
we can't pay you as much money. So it's really dumb.
Like other chiefs. The Chiefs have to put Patrick Mahomes
money in escrow because they can't afford to pay him.
Is that is that we're going with right now? So
maybe there's that always puts a role in some of
this stuff, like maybe the you know, Jed York Is like, yeah,
(35:05):
I just don't have seventy five million to put an
Esco right now?
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Remember the Rams team owner Stan Kronke.
It might have been the relocation fee. He just cut
a check.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
Well, Stan Kronkey is and he paid and I give
him much much respect for this. He paid his entire
stadium by himself, no tax payer money.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
And that's the thing is the fee. I forget what
it was. I want to see over. Yeah, it was
right around five hundred and five to fifty whatever it was.
He was like, oh yeah, I'll just get the check
book out real quick.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
There you go, I mean, and you it's like, how
about his run he said, a RAMS championship, a Nuggets championship. Yeah. Yeah,
this guy's just living the dream right now.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Yeah, and uh, the weird microphone moment with Lisa Saulters.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
Remember that these guys the Josh Harris handshake the other night, right,
they don't know they're they're not like regular humans. You
don't know how to they don't know how to operate
in a society that doesn't include boardrooms and zoom meetings
and like assistant helping them out that that's what they
don't do.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Stan, you can just look forward and address the crowd.
You don't have to look at the microphone. It's okay, right.
Speaker 4 (36:18):
They don't, Brian, they don't know any better.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
They don't all right. Coming up next on Two Pros

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Barsh being waved home.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
He's gonna score and the Pills I just want it.
Speaker 5 (37:45):
Trey Turner wins it with a smash.
Speaker 6 (37:48):
Back up the middle off of Devall in the Phillies
take a four to three win.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
I'm probably no. He's Jeff Schwartz here on Fox Sports Radio.
We're in for it Ros and a cup of Joe.
That was the Progressive play of the day. Yeah, it's
uh so in directed me. I feel like that's as
the Giants lost to the Phillies four to three, Progressive
is making things even easier. They will help you bundle
(38:17):
your home and car insurance together so you can save
on both. Learn more at Progressive dot com or one
eight hundred Progressive. That audio was courtesy of Phillies Radio Network.
I'm mad at both teams, Jeff, because the Giants, as
you know, they screwed it up against the Braves a
few nights ago, and then the next day I'm like, ah,
(38:37):
let's get it with the Phillies. You know when Phillies
trade Turner get a hit, he did, Phillies score four runs,
win the game. They fell short on both against the Nationals. Dude,
that was the little league field game. Terrible. I've been
on a cold streak over here.
Speaker 4 (38:52):
How cool was the Phillies and Nationals in the in
the crowd for the little league won't serious? Game? Was cool?
Speaker 2 (39:00):
That was great. Yeah, if you're a little kid and
you got Bryce Harper watching you play that, that that'd
be a thrill. Absolutely, it would be no doubt about that.
Now we got greatness recognizing greatness here, Jeff, this is
the hoodie. Bill Belichick waxing poetic on the Greg Hill
Show on WEE I about Taylor Swift. Check this out.
(39:24):
That was pretty impressive.
Speaker 4 (39:26):
She's tough and then she just stood out there and
played right through it.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
So are you officially consider yourself to officially be a swiftye?
Speaker 4 (39:33):
Now? Officially, I don't know about that.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
But I don't know what especially is. It seems like
Aaron Rodgers is, oh, are you a swifty I don't
know about that.
Speaker 4 (39:45):
He sounds like those contents look fun, I'll tell you that.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
Yeah, And he was talking about a concert at Gillette
Stadium where it was raining really hard. She played through it,
and so she earned Bill Belichick's respect. They want to
say this in radio, you never know who's listening. Think
about a musician, you never know who's out there. I
don't think Taylor Swift thought, man, I better bring it tonight.
Bill Belichick might be in the crowd, you know, But
(40:11):
there he was checking it out.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
I love it. I love that Bill like clearly has
a personality, but just chooses not to show it to anybody.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
Right, Yeah, that's where he is. He said that he
enjoys the song. You need to calm down. That's what
he's going with you. So that's pretty good. You've got
to calm down. That's very appropriate.
Speaker 4 (40:32):
That Taylor Swift rejected Travis Kelcey's overtures. But I feel
like we do need a Tailor Swift Bill Belichick, like
something like some sort of some sort of like sit
down interview, some sort of meaning of the minds two
geniuses of their generation, two of the best to ever
(40:53):
do it.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
Yeah, sit down conversation over coffee. That's you know something.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Something has to something like you know they did that
that the Belichick saving things. They do a Belichick Tarot
Swift doc there.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
That Belichick saving thing was great.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
I watch it like once a year. It's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
Oh it's Would you go to a Taylor Swift.
Speaker 4 (41:14):
Show, Absolutely, but not for the money that they cost.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
So you're not going, right, Like, I would check it out, man,
if tickets are on the house, absolutely I would go.
But top dollar, dude, that tour has generated one point
four billion dollars. Good for her. Fun hanging with you,
Jeff Hey, we'll be back on Sunday the kickoff. Check
us out, then have a good day.
