No navy lopsided? Okay, well, okay, better better question. What
about Navy plus twenty and a half? Anybody any Navy
plus twenty and a half? All right, apparently I'm in
an island alone. It is awesome here first time for
me personally in Dublin, Ireland.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Man, you notre dame fans run deep good god, yeah
it is.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You have made your presence fell here. So it's a
lot of fun so far.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
A ton of fun.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
And by the way, thank you to Busker's Bar Kieran,
who's right over there, the owner.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Thank you guys so much for the hospital. Yes, awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
We're very lucky to be here. Obviously, not all of
us were able to make it over across. What do
you what do you get at You're missing one of
our teammates.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, Lee's right there.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
I'm right here again, I'm right here.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
I don't know what you're referring to, but no, it's
been a lot of fun, obviously, and then we couldn't
have made this couldn't be possible obviously without the help
of so many great sponsors and people.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Jade, where's Jade? First?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
And foremost Jade the Great, She's right then there all
right by her shot or two.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
But Panini Trading Cards.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
It's the official trading cards of Fox Sports Radio's air
Lingus College Series coverage live from Dublin. Obviously air Lingus,
which just fantastic accommodations that they were able to provide
as we flew here on behalf of air Lingus Horizon Therapeutics,
where science and compassion work together to transform lives. And
we'll be attending the Horizon Therapeutics tailgate party before the

(02:47):
game on Saturday. And then of course Budweiser, who made
our broadcast today possible live from Buskers Bar here in Dublin.
So everybody involved that made this possible. Can't thank you
guys enough. It's been tremendous. We have to walk around. Yeah,
we did Dublin yesterday kind of see some things. Full disclosure.
I've never been outside of North America, all right, So

(03:08):
you get like you get me on a freeway and
I start to go into convulsions. The the electrical thing
in the hotel room. That took me a little while.
I had to call Lee thinking that somebody didn't pay
the bill. I didn't realize you put your card in
and then everything turns on. So I'm walking around the dark.
I'm like, man, why isn't this no ac no nothing.
I can't get it.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
I'm like, did somebody what am I missing here? Yeah?
Apparently that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
You put your card in the in the little slot there,
and that's how everything turns on.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
I'm just glad we're not rooming together.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah, I just you know, there's been a couple of
a couple of things here that we've been trying to
figure out as we go along.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
How about this morning I learned I've never seen this before,
baked beans for breakfast. That that was one where I
was like, eating baked beans.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
I'm not even a big beans fan.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
That's protein, but I mean it looked like people were
eating lunch for breakfast.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
It was a little much.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
I mean, by the way, one of the biggest meathead
moments I've ever seen in my life.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
So we go to that.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
We're at a steakhouse last night, and of course, because
you're probably thinking of.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Yourself, you know, steak's not enough. You know I need
more protein. So what do you do? What are you
gonna do?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Order two eggs to throw on top of it. For
no reason whatsoever this guy did.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I thought that was something. I thought that was something
they did here. It was one of the options.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Throw some fried eggs on top of the meat. Why
not good? Yeah, we're gonna do it Hawks Moore. Yeah,
it was.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Check it out a chance yet, Yeah, that was that
was a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
And then just you know, apparently like the bike lanes,
you're just not supposed to watch Jonas.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I mean, what do you want from me? Jonas almost
got hit about five or six times. Yees. Yeah, they
were getting pissed. They were started get before were starting
to get what is even like you're apologetic about it.
You're actually have a horn.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
You know, you're making us look bad as as tourists
and guests coming over here.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
What's the point of happened to horn that?

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Like God gave you a horn and a middle finger
for a reason, okay, and it was for driving. Let
people know, Ay I'm here, or I don't like what
you did and you throw that bad boy out the window.
These guys have horns, like lay the horn on. I
don't know what's what a bike lane is. I'm still
trying to figure my way out around here.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
You're from California, you very well know what a bike
lane is.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Okay, the bike lanes are a little different in California.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
You gotta like navigate pass sleeping bags and all the
other fun stuff that comes along with it. But I'm
just saying like there's there's a lot going on out
in California. You know, like you're just depending on what
bike path you take. But it's, uh, this is new
now you are a regular here in Ireland.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Yeah, I mean I've been to Dublin many times because
I'm from Dublin, Ohio, which it does. There are some
similarities to Dublin, I are. You see some similarities back
in Ohio some structures and some of the some of
the buildings, some of the Actually you'll if you drive
out of the countryside, you'll see a bunch of stone
kind of walls dividing up property lines. We have that
in my hometown. So if you go along Dublin Road

(05:56):
in Dublin, Ohio, you will see that. So that was
one of the first times when I drove across. We
went from we got in a duble one drove across
the country to Galway, everyone's thinking about this Galway girl,
so I was trying to figure out what's the deal
with her. Didn't find her, but we ended up staying
on the other side of the country for a few days,
came back across.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
It's uh.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
I'll tell you what. Driving on the opposite side of
the road too will get you. Initially, you gotta be careful.
You almost got to hit yesterday because you were stepping
off the curb and you were looking the wrong way.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I mean, this is not my problem. Look I'm there.
They need to do clearly.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And also just because I'm a bit of a horse's ass,
if we're gonna be truthful about it, I almost went
down the wrong escalator, so I just by habit, I
started veering off to the right, and then I realized,
are my legs not working? No, No, it's coming at me,
so I gotta go down. So it's just everything's in reverse.
So there's just there's a lot going on. A lot's

(06:48):
happening here, Lee, apparently because for those of you, and
I don't know if anybody has a friend like this
in their life, but when they go someplace, they love
to really take in everything, and by everything, it's all
the little touristy stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Lee loves that. And the second we got into the hotel,
he saw all the pamphlets the.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
You know, if you want to, like, you know, take
a you know, learn how to fly kites for fifteen
pounds an hour or whatever it is. Or if you
want to, like, you know, go walk around and look
at a building that may or may not have been
built in the nineteen twenties.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
You get like, and Lee's got to grab all those.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
I've already set us up for like three tours after
the show today.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Yeah. But but on the.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Bus top us, I will say this, I wouldn't trust
either one of these guys as far as walking to
go to a certain places one time. Okay, the half
mile thing, we were a half mile for four miles away.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
From the hotel.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
I was really just trying to get you to a
bar where you could have your first Guinness, which we
did accomplished.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
We did. We did accomplish that, Yeah, we did. I
mean that was that was cool to see.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
And then we fed into your gambling habit as we
realized there was a sports book right across.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Away from the bard. It was great.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Why doesn't America have that it's it's it's a damn shame.
And you know that in California you can't even legally
do it, legally do it because there was some law
that didn't get passed, so you can't do that. It's
just a missed opportunity. Look, I've said it before and
and I stand by this. If you don't gamble on sports,
I just think you're a wretched human being, like you

(08:25):
are missing out on so many great things.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Like think about it.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
For example, Navy's got no shot against Notre Dame, no
shot whatsoever. But if they keep it within three scores,
then maybe we've got a shot to make some money
on this whole thing.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
You know, like.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
There's there's an option and a possibility for people.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
It presents.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Oh, it provides things for people other than that Notre
Dame is going to go out there and just.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Blow them out. Someone say there's more than one option.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
There's a triple option technically, Yeah, there's that.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
There is that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
I was going to preview the game right now where
we're thinking here, well, you got to go to the stadium.
I walked by this, I didn't go inside, and it's fantastic,
it's awesome.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
It looks incredible.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
I mean, it's one of those places where you wish
you had the opportunity to come play Notre Dame and
played a game like this. Unfortunately we only went to,
you know, places domestically, like we got to play in
the Meadowlands. We have to play in Baltimore. This would
be special, though, I think for a lot of the players.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Could you imagine Brady Quinn and Jeff samar Joe walking
around downtown Dublin back in the day, Oh my god,
I forget Zibby Scitvy would be right there with oh
my Godzimy trying to get in a fight at a
bar with someone.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Just yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
We were given strict instructions, by the way from our
cabby that took us here, places to go, places not
to go. Why you want to stay away from this
spot and that spot. He had some not so nice things.
I mean, Buskers is great, loves Buskers. Some other places
around here not so nice things to say about it.
So we've been giving the We've been given the tour

(09:54):
from many of.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
The locals here.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Thus far, we haven't got in trouble so far. No,
we've been here like twenty four hours though still got time.
We do, Yeah, we still got time, especially.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
With Lee, plenty of time all the time. Yeah, Lee's
I mean this it could be a problem.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
Will they let me into Trinity's College after I go
to the bar?

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah, the less you in whatever you do after that. Okay,
it's like, you know what's amazing.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
So back home in the States, there's like these designated
times where you could have a drink, and anything beyond
those times you kind of get judged.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
You know. It's like, God, you're having a beer that
early unless you're an airport.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
An airport is a safe space to drink at any
point time whatever you want.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Oh yeah, yeah, then then you're fine.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
But like you'll get like the people will give you
this look like, oh my god, you're having it well
on a Tuesday night. Really, this is what out here.
If you're not having a drink, you're in a hole.
It's like it's completely the opposite. Like everything is the opposite,
the escalators, where the steering wheel is, your thoughts on drinking,

(10:56):
everything is the complete opposite. Yeah's kind of nice, it's
really nice. Yeah, it's just like, you know, like people
just having a pint. Yeah, let's just go have a pint. Okay,
like I don't know, I don't know why, but okay, yeah,
let's go have a pint. And it's uh, it's been
a lot of fun to sort of see a new
a new dynamic and just how people do things elsewhere

(11:18):
and to be a little bit more cultured.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Yeah, I mean it's good for you. It's the first
time you're really getting out.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
So yeah, outside of what at least, yeah, I'm telling
you Mexico, so farthest I've been like they like people
are asking me quite like they're looking at my passport,
going has this everything ever been used?

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Like, I don't know why I have one?

Speaker 4 (11:35):
You really don't need one until now, not really like
I don't there's well at least you got yours though,
so that's good.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Jeez, what are you getting at? Oh no, we're good, Okay,
we're good. All right.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Well, hey, listen, that's the thing about this show. You
never know what you're gonna discover. And speaking of which,
at the end of your first year, discover credit cards
automatically double all the cash back you've earned.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
That's right, everything you've earned doubled.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Seriously, c terms and checking out for yourself at Discover
dot Com Forward slash Match. So it is two Pros
and a Cup of Joe here Sports Radio Brady Quinn,
Jonas Knox of the Ear the Great lead to Lap
is riding with us as well too, and all of
you live here from Buskers Bar in Dublin, Ireland. Can't
thank you guys enough for hanging out with us and
spending a few hours with us here on a Thursday.

(12:14):
We're gonna have the usuals we got in case you
missed it coming up later on. Maybe we'll have some
over unders as well too. We got you in a
U out. It's gonna be all yours. It's a three
hour extravaganza from Fox Sports Radio live here at Buskers
Bar in Dublin, Ireland. But one team in the NFL
may have made a major mistake.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
We'll tell you who that is next.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
It's two Pros and a Cup of Joe here Fox
Sports Radio. Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you live from
Buskers Bar in Dublin, Ireland. Now back home, this would
be like what three to twenty in the morning in
LA And well, I'm just saying out here, he's just standards.

(13:12):
You know, it's kind of nice doing a show where
the street lights aren't on.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
I'm just saying, it's kind of nice. You know, in
the middle of the day.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
People are having a couple of beers and a couple
of pints and they're just enjoying all the sights and
sounds that Doublin offers.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
So it's a lot of fun being here.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Of course, Now coming up in about twenty five minutes
from now and another edition of In case you missed it,
We've got maybe the greatest parental support of all time
in the NFL. This is what you want for out
of a parent, This is what you need in a parent,
and somebody has provided this coming up in a little
over twenty minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.

(13:48):
So we got a little bit of a problem in
the National Football League.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
What's the problem?

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Apparently the going rate for a third string quarterback is
three number.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
One and a third round pick. Apparently that's the.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Going rate because in San Francisco, Kyle Shanahan and the
forty nine Ers, Yeah, they've had to just spend enough
with the Trey Lance experiment as being the next franchise quarterback.
It was announced yesterday by Kyle Shanahan, the forty nine
Ers quarterback, that Trey Lance is now QB three. Sam

(14:23):
Darnold is going to be the backup Brock Purty obviously
the starter after his run last year. Trey Lance obviously upset,
they decided, you know, maybe just go home for the day.
He missed Wednesday's practice, which I gotta be honest with you,
it's a little a little odd for me.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
I would have stayed in practice. I think they let
him take the day off. Ye, he's disappointed, clearly a
lot to this. And then, by the way, Brendan Allen,
who's done really well, was in their camp. He would
be the guy who would most likely be the third
string quarterback if they moved on from Trey Lance and
kept three.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
So Kyle Shannan says, this isn't them giving up on
Trey Lance.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
You know, by any means. I don't know about that.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
But here's the thing, this is surprising and not surprising
at the same time because it felt like the way
they were so adamant about brock Purty, once he comes back,
brock Purty, once he comes back, he's the guy.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Brock Purty.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
They could not make it be known more that brock
Party was the starting quarterback there in San Francisco. And
I just can't help but look at the Trey Lance
run as Niners quarterback and be like, you can say
whatever you want about him.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
He never really got a fair shot.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
There was no real opportunity because when he did get
a chance to play, he played in a monsoon in
Chicago last year. The weather was awful, and then he
goes into the second week of the season and he
suffers that injury and next thing, you know, with the injury,
Jimmy Garoppolo steps in and the rest is history.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
And that's it.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
He's just never gonna start, most likely never going to
start another game for the forty nine.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
Ers in the regular season.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
So he got a mon's soon and he got a
broken leg or whatever it was, and that's Trey Lance's
time as starting quarterback for San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
The other thing that's.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
Hard to think that only playing one season at a
lower level in college football and then in an exhibition
game during the COVID year that he was gonna be
able to come in and actually play in the NFL
like right away, like that or that small sample size
would be all you needed to determine whether or not
he could.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Play in the league or not.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
It's hard when you hear them say that they're not
giving up on him, because it feels like that could
be true if they're looking at a scenario where it's
like a Jordan Love Aaron Rodgers. But that's not what
we're looking at. I mean, brock Perty was a seventh
round pick, and I think what he's displayed so far
is he gives them a chance to win a Super
Bowl right now, at least the short sample size. We've

(16:48):
got a rock party, and that's where this roster's at.
I mean, look at Christian McCaffrey, Deebo, Samuel Trent Williams,
all these stuff, George Kittle. They are loaded defensively now
with Bosa and everyone else they've got. They're loaded, and
so I think it has as much has anything to
do with the fact that they feel like they can
win in a weekend NFC, which I think we'd all

(17:08):
agree it's Philly, it's San Francisco, and then it's I
don't know. I mean, how many other teams do you
really feel confident in are going to be a playoff
team in the NFC right now? You can't feel overly
confident outside of those two rosters.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Can't.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
And so if I'm looking at it, I'm saying to myself,
they may say they haven't given up on him, but
it seems like right now they're definitely not thinking about
his development. And I'm sure if they can move on
and get any of that draft capital back, they will
and they'll just say, let's wipe our hands of this.
We've got a young guy we feel good about. We
have a veteran that's experience. It could be a backup

(17:44):
play well in the system. The hard thing is now
is what could you get in return for that, given
you gave up a bounty of picks to get them.
And the tough thing is if Kyle Shanahan, who has
been a quarterback whisper I mean, everyone who's played in
that system has played phenomenal, with exception of Trey Lance,
And so if he don't have his stamp of approval

(18:05):
right what kind of trade value is that gonna Warran.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
And you mentioned the one year, the COVID year that
he played, so that means going, well, that was one game. Yeah,
oh yeah, the one game he played, So that means
going back to twenty nineteen, between pro and college, Trey
Lance has played five games. So where's your where's your
evidence of Hey, give us a third round pick or
a second round pick for him? Like there's like he

(18:29):
has no value whatsoever. And honestly, I feel bad for
the guy because this is example and exhibit one million,
four thousand and five, whatever you number want to throw
at it.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Opportunities everything.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Trey Lance had his opportunity, got injured, brock Perty got
his opportunity, got injured, but put together seven games of
sample size before then, and now he's QB one.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
For the Niners.

Speaker 4 (18:53):
I would add opportunity and then situation circumstance.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
So the situation in San Francisco is great.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Unfortunately for Trey Lance person, he hasn't had enough experience
to be able to walk into that scenario and succeed
right away. I mean the system that he's in Kyle
Shananon's offense is drastically different and what he was asked
to do at North Dakota State. So that was a
transition in and of itself. So you're right, I mean,
opportunity plays a part of it. Usually everyone gets an opportunity.
You just hope that it's the right situation and circumstance.

(19:20):
And it was in San Francisco for the team. It
just really wasn't Trey Lance's time to succeed. So look,
hopefully he finds a landing spot where he can develop.
But the hard part is is you look at next
year's draft class and to me, it's loaded. I mean,
it's literate with guys who you're gonna be talking about saying,
why would I want to give up draft capital to

(19:41):
take a guy that might be a project. He's further
along in his rookie deal where eventually and and plus
number three overall, he's gonna be more expensive than what
you're gonna be drafting next year. So it's gonna be
tough to see who would actually be willing to give
up anything for him outside of a fifth, sixth round pick.
I really think it'll be that low, given not only

(20:02):
the financial circumstances, but I think the lack of really
performance when he's played, and just worries at his rookie
contract and.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Also he's gonna get labeled some not so nice things people.
They're gonna throw out the bus term and all man.
He didn't trade three first round draft picks for himself.
He didn't put he was just a prospect. They made
the move and it just begs the question why did
they do it?

Speaker 3 (20:29):
And it just screams too.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
And we've seen obviously what happened in Washington, the RG
three and Kirk Cousins in the fourth round. Everyone kind
of scratched ahead and said, why would you take Kirk
Cousins in the fourth round if he took RG three,
And then he come to find out later on it
was Little Danny who wanted RG three. It was Kyle
Shanahan and his dad who wanted Kirk Cousins. And this
just screams to me of John Lynch loved the upside

(20:55):
of Trey Lance, and Kyle Shannan was like.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Well, isn't always will It's got to be that was
a trade up to try to lure Green Bay into
taking that spot and trading for Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, that
had to have. There was a report that came out
that summer. It was supposed to be a done deal.
Green Bay backed out, and that had to have been
what this was about. And I think San Francisco got

(21:19):
caught in a position where they said, Okay, let's go
take this guy. He's got some upside, maybe he can
be the quarterback we hope he's going to be, and
they end up falling into a position where it doesn't
work out because they had Jimmy g Right. They had
this scenario where he could sit, he could learn, he
could take over, see what he's made of, and they've
ended up finding that guy in brock Perty instead, and

(21:39):
now they are gonna have to move on, unfortunately for
a huge price that they pay. But that's the only
way them trading up to that spot given what they
gave up, makes any sense.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Because there was the mac Jones rumor that was out there.
Well maybe it was mac Jones.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Maybe it's like all right, but still like three first
round picks and then you know you're the third pi.
It just yeah, so something must have fallen apart, and
you've brought that up for a while now that there
had to have been something else on the table, Otherwise
it doesn't make sense. My question is did they deserve
more credit for finding brock Purty or more criticism for

(22:15):
three first round picks to take Trey Lance and it
never panned out because they kind of get bailed out.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
They do to a degree. But then that leads to
my next question. If they don't succeed, if your Jed
York and this doesn't work out with brock Purty as
good as he's been, it's been a small sample size,
and I think if you looked at the difference between
why Trey Lance could maybe warrant getting drafted where he was,
and then why brock Purty got drafted where he was, right,
a guy who played a ton of college football at

(22:43):
Iowa State, right a place where they love to gamble. Also, yeah,
that is true, which he didn't get popped for that. Yeah,
he's got that going for.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
It, but didn't his backup, wasn't it his backup I
think got popped.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
I mean he did partake in some of the games
that were gambled on for my own I mean it's
not to say that like the backup probably didn't know
the tendencies of brock Purty.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
During Okay, maybe, yeah, that makes some sense. I digress.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
The difference is obviously the upside of what people thought
Trey Lance is gonna be capable of being. And obviously
you don't see that in brock Purty as much, which
is a direct like comparison to kind of Jimmy Garoppolo,
Like you moved on from that guy that you didn't
feel like it gets you to a super Bowl, similar
skill set to brock Purty. So that's what's fascinating to
me is if they end up not being able to

(23:24):
win a Super Bowl with brock Purty and they do
move on from Trey Lance and this thing starts to
evolve where they don't end up having the success they
thought they were going to have, at what point are
they held accountable for it?

Speaker 1 (23:37):
By the way, how loaded are the Niners that they
can just cough up three first round picks and it's
like whatever, we'll be in an NFC title game no
matter what.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yeah, we're gonna be fine.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Like there are teams around the NFL that want a
fraction of their success and they're giving up three first
round picks for a guy who who's gonna end up
playing in four games for them, and there's still a
Super Bowl contender.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
I know, I mean that, and the fact that it's
in a city where there's poop in the sidewalks everywhere,
Well yeah, there's But again, I mean imagine having to
be a player there. As good as things are, you
walk outside of that facility there in Santa Clara and
you step in apolocra.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
All that's fair, But again, nobody's perfect, you know, and
a lot of us have flaws, and so you know,
we're not here to judge or criticize them. They've got
a you know, a Super Bowl contending team there at
Levi Stadium. You know, it's been a little bit of
a wild ride for the forty nine ers when it
comes to quarterback. And doesn't this also kind of show
you man that Jimmy Garoppolo, mister steady, All right, mister steady.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
You know everybody, everybody.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Wanted to bust Jimmy Garoppolo's balls because he hung out
with a porn star. Bigger crimes have been committed, especially
in that city, probably last week in the NFL. Actually
well yeah, oh yeah, and again we're gonna touch on that. Yeah,
that's fair too, But like Jimmy Garoppolo, just guys minding
his own business. Okay, maybe he may or may not

(25:04):
have like a brasser's password. He meets some date, he
takes her out to a bar, and next thing, you know,
everybody's got to judge the guy because he's hanging out
with Mariah Cherry at some pub in downtown San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
See.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
I think now he is exonerated on all charges, Jimmy
Garoppolo based on what they went through and their quarterback situation.
Jimmy Garoppolo, mister consistency, Just mister consistent the whole way through.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Should forty nine fans want to brock Purty maybe to
fall in his footsteps?

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Yeah? Let me. He got to a Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Yeah, I mean, look, if not for that third and
eighteen completion to Tyreek Kill in that Super Bowl, Jimmy
Garoppolo is probably a Super Bowl champ, he's probably still
the forty nine ers court. Yes, so yeah, listen, this
just stands the test of time. Jimmy Garoppolo exonerated on
all charges. And I think we just figured it out
here live on the air, live from Buskers in Dublin.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
All right, so cheers to Jimmy Garoppolo.

Speaker 1 (25:57):

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Two pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. Now, if you've paid any close attention over
the past couple of years, you know that the airline
industry has been destroyed, destroyed. I mean, lead to lab
slept outside a train station in the Northeast next to
a bumb Just imagine, look at this, Look at this

(27:29):
fine looking man.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
You had to cuddle the bum just to stay warmst.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
So he spooned with a hobo outside a train station
because his flight got canceled. So just imagine lead the
lap sitting next to some homeless guy. They've got dodging,
they've got a broken pool queue, they got a sewer
rat on the end of it, and they're just cooking
up something over a fire.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
He looks comfortable, though it feels like you actually are
really taking it in.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
I felt at home, yeah, as home as I feel here.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Yeah. But like that's all because of the airline.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
All because your flight got canceled and you got jerked
around by some crummy, sad sack airline, which apparently means
that you weren't flying air Lingis. That's right, because air
Lingus is an Irish airline that flies from sixteen North
American destinations to Ireland and beyond. Dublin is a hub

(28:20):
for connecting to over seventy destinations across Europe. Get a
warm Irish welcome when you get on board. The staff
could not be more accommodating. Mary Keane was fantastic. She
helped me out the entire flight. And I don't know
anything about travel. She walked me through the whole process,
the lay down, flatbeds, just the food and entertainment home

(28:42):
I got. Everything is fantastic. The Wi Fi on board
never an issue whatsoever. Pre clear US customs and immigration
on your return home from Dublin. When you land home
in the US, you simply grab your bag and go

sponsors of the air Lingus College Football Classic with this
year's game, Who's this year's game?

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Come on, Notre Dame, come on, make some noise. Notre Dame.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Be a line, Notre Dame and Navy, and next year
is going to be Georgia Tech and Florida.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
That's how you're trying to set him up. We did
command give a little more.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Hey, who's playing in this year's air Lingus Classic Navy?

Speaker 3 (29:29):
And there we go, there we go.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
We're weak now talking about I mean not not you know,
not bad considering Brady Quinn told us the truth about
Rudy a couple of days ago on the show. I'm
just saying sorry about that, guys, I'm just saying sorry
about that.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Right if you had your hopes up, those are god.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Hey, all I said was there could have been a
lot of walk on players that fit that story in mold.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
That's what I said. I was more curious about how
he lost his girl. Yes, yeah, that's a problem. That
was the first thing I asked Rudy when I met him.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
It was that was the first question I had, because
I kind of knew the other stuff from playing.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
I just was more curious what happened then. Because the
way it's presented, he walks home.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
He passes by some Christmas tree lot, which guarantee they
were more affordable than they are now. It's you you,
but you buy Christmas tree now it's like thirty eight
thousand dollars. But he walks by, and then he walks
in to spend the holidays with this family and his
brother's with his girl.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
Yeah, he's like that quick. I'm like, that's pretty quick, man.
I mean, you'd really love your brother and be okay
with that, I guess. But well, people didn't realize he
went and served in the in the military for a
couple of years. Yeah, and then came back. So it
was a little bigger gap than the movie Portrade.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Well, I mean listen, if you're Rudy and you're listening,
might I recommend Notre Dame minus twenty and a half?

Speaker 3 (30:44):
All right, it's coming up next.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
This is maybe the greatest parental advice ever given from
anybody in NFL history.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
This is fun, man. We come back next year and
do this. Yeah, went possible.

Speaker 4 (31:22):
Yeah, and I know the Notre Name crowd won't be
the same, but we'll find it. We'll find another crowd.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
We'll get it. Ah, well, I mean come on, or
maybe they will. I don't know. Maybe we'll bring a
bunch of.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah, listen, with the time we've had so far, everybody,
come along again.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
Let's do it again next year. It'll be a lot
of fun.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
By the way, coming up top of next hour here
from the ti raq dot com studios, we are going
to mention a deadline in the NFL. Somebody has has
marked their line in the sand. They have said this
is when it needs to happen or else. We'll get
into the or else portion of that coming up here
again a little over ten minutes from now, before we
get to another edition of In Case you missed it, though,

(31:57):

sports or entertainment. Good thing, the guys are here to
bring you in case you missed.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
It, and for that we turn it over to our
executive producer, Lee lap Good more than everybody.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
Good morning, everybody, Good morning, Busters, Bar, good morning.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Jonas, Good morning Brady.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
I guess it's not good morning over here?

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Is It's not that still?

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Is?

Speaker 4 (32:34):
I mean?

Speaker 5 (32:34):
Ye yeah, kind of kind of sort of. So I'll
take that, guys, in case you missed it. Cowboys second
year defensive ends Sam Williams was arrested this uh a
few days ago. Hele hey Brady, Hey, Brady Hey Lee.
He was arrested for the unluffled carrying of a weapon
along with some marijuana. Well, Jerry Jones, Cowboys owner, was

(32:55):
asked about it, always the optimist.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Take a listen to what he said.

Speaker 8 (32:58):
First of all, I'm so you never think of who
the eighty six, which is more often the case than not.
This shine sounds a little hollow up, but he does
in his mature in years, was he going sixty six
miles now?

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Last year?

Speaker 4 (33:13):
No?

Speaker 3 (33:13):
This year?

Speaker 8 (33:14):
So he's thirty four miles an hour last lat year, then.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Sixty six, So that's him to prove it, all.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Right, it's a fair point. Listen, he's going sixty six
mile an hours this year. Last year he was doing
one ninety eight or whatever. And yeah, I mean, come on,
twenty two miles.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
For hours less?

Speaker 1 (33:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (33:32):
What what speed? It was? The end?

Speaker 5 (33:34):
He was in a sixty fifty five excuse me, fifty
five mile for hour?

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Wait, so cop pulled him over for one to eleven over?

Speaker 4 (33:41):
Yeah, man, I thought you could get at least like
fifteen miles prower over.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Don't ask me. I walked through a bike lane and
I almost get tased here. So I mean, I can't think,
God forbid, I just listen, Jerry Jones. That is the
type of parental advice you won.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Listen, Dad, I screwed up. What happened?

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Another speeding ticket? Okay, right, but it's thirty two miles
an hour less than last year.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
I mean two years from now he won't even be driving.
They're just like he's gonna be so safe. He's just
gonna sit in a park car and be like, hey,
I progress, We'll just keep lowering.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
At thirty two. I've got bigger feet, and I feel
like sometimes you.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Like people get hey, roundup, applyus for Brady's big feet. Yeah, goodan,
Dave Baths.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
What I was gonna say is when people say, oh,
they've got like a heavy foot when they drive.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
I feel like sometimes we have bigger feet, it's a
little harder. So maybe he's just got a really big foot. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
And by the way, you know there's I would rather
not buying that theory.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
Well, no, I do buy I know you have small feet. Well, yeah,
I have small feet. That's the problem. That is the problem.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
But I also think I would rather deal with somebody
who drives too fast and somebody who deals and dealing
with somebody who drives too slow. If you drive slow,
you are a nuisance to people on the highways.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
That's probably what Jerry Jones once Yeah, I mean if
he got fired up when he found on Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
See, so again, I just think Jerry Jones is being optimistic.
There's too many negative stories in the world of sports,
and the fact that Jerry Jones has taking this approach
I think is commendable for old Jerry.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Good for you.

Speaker 5 (35:14):
What else, Yeah, guys, In case you missed it, Kevin,
we've talked a lot about fights in training camp.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Yeah, joint Donnie Brooks, especially during the fisticuffs.

Speaker 5 (35:23):
Yeah, absolutely, Well, guys, In case you missed this, Brown's
head coach Kevin Stefanski. He's got a policy that's different
than anybody else. If it involves a starter, he now
has to play in the upcoming preseason game. But if
it's with a player who's fighting for a roster spot,
a backup player, they don't get to play in that
preseason game.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
I mean, I understand the intent behind this. The problem
is is he's gonna have a start to end up
playing getting hurt in the game.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
But this is the This is also the problem when
you hire a werewolf as your head coach, he makes
decisions like this.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Hen a werewolf. Still, he looks like Jim Caviezel. He
looks like a were wolf. He looks like an actor.
He looks like a were wolf.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
He looks like he could have been passionately cry like
you throw a silver bullet on the table and he'll vanish.
I'm telling you, he looks like a werewolf. Look up,
Kevin Stefanski right now. I'm not saying he's a bad
looking guy. The dude looks like a were wolf. I
would say he's a good looking guy. He looks like
Jim Caviezel. You ever seen the movie Silver Bullet, No
where the Reverend turns into the were wolf.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
You never see silver bullet? No, oh my god, what
year was that man? Stephen King, Like a couple.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Of weeks ago. It's a new release release. Yeah, you
know something like that. Gary Busey. Gary Busey plays an
alcoholic boy.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
What range? Can you imagine that? He plays a kid?
He plays an alcoholic You believe that? Shocking? Yeah it's amasic.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Oh man, but yeah, Kevin Stefanski, he looks like a
were wolf.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
I think that. I think that clears that up.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
By the way, that policy's not gonna matter when they
only have two or one preseason game in the.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Future, are they Are they going down to Uh, they're
really gonna knock it down.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
And yeah, they'll go down to two. And I have eighteen.
Come on, a shod number of games.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
What a shame. I love the preseason.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
If I was a coach too, I wouldn't like an
odd number of games because like, you don't have that
year where you go, well, we went five hundred, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
Like you can't can you fly? WI wasn't that bad?
That was always the bailout. Now it's like, dude, you.

Speaker 4 (37:11):
Either go nine and eight or eight nine, and that
difference it could be you keep your job.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
What else we got, lee, guys?

Speaker 5 (37:16):
In case you missed the Angels, GM revealed yesterday that
shohe Otani has a torn at ucl this second time
he's had this.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
He will not pitch again for the rest of the season,
but he's still able to hit. Suppose, So okay, all right,
I mean I don't know.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
Now he may get excuse me, sorry, yeah, sorry across
the stream, sorry sam uh Now he may have to
get his second Tommy John surgery.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
How does that work though? Like did the first one?
I always heard those things make your arms stronger.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Well, I think if you get a third, you just
get a prosthetic. I think that's how that works. You
end up looking like the guy in the fujitebu Harrison
Ford's chasing down Whatever.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Happened to Henry Roading Gardner or like Rookie of the Year?
Can they just like tighten the thing up like that?

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Great point? But it wasn't he an American pie? Was
was Rome Gardner? An American pie?

Speaker 8 (38:08):
He was?

Speaker 3 (38:08):
You know something like that?

Speaker 8 (38:09):
He was?

Speaker 3 (38:09):
Wasn't he? He was like the dork in a an
American Pie? That was the same actor. Yeah, I think
says Henry Roar.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
You believe we're playing a childhood star of being like
a major league basement picture to then being the dork
in an American and.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Now you're on set with some guy who made love
to a pie, you know, like, yeah, think it's almost yeah,
the same guy.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
How's the WiFi here?

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Lee?

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Yeah? What what probably are you? Okay? Yeah, I'm doing good.
I'm doing good. Okay, I just got my Guinness here.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
It's been a smooth hour, you know, so much. So
we're coming back for two more. Here a Busker's barn,
