(01:46):
So we had the game of the night in the
world of sports. It was the Bills, it was the Jets,
It was the Aaron Rodgers debut. It was September eleventh,
Rogers running out onto the field within American flag. It
and met life, all the hype, all the conversation, and
Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Went crashing, yeah, crashing down in a heap of fire.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Four plays, goes down with an injury, and the fear
is that it is a season ending injury for Rogers,
and it will be an achilles injury that will be
revealed via MRI coming up later on today. Robert Sala,
the head coach, spoke about the injury and spoke about
the situation following the game and just talked about how
(02:33):
he feels seeing Rogers go out the way he did.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
All Right, I'll deal with the quarterback real quick, concerned
with his achilles. MRI is probably going to confirm what
we think is already going to happen.
Speaker 6 (02:46):
So prayers tonight. But it's not good. That part sucks.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
I'm enjoy this when winning in the NFL is hard,
regardless of who the quarterback is.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
Personally, I don't hurt for me. I don't hurt for
our locker room.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
I hurt for.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
Aaron and how much he's invested in all of this.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
You know.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
So I'm still gonna say prayer. I'm still gonna hold
the home. But you know, my my heart's with Aaron
Ren and no or Els.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
I mean, they did win the game. So that was
the winning sides coach talking. We're gonna get to the
losing sides coach at some point because there's some real
question marks about his quarterback. But as it pertains to
this game, the storyline obviously is Rogers at thirty nine
years old, dealing with what appears to be a season
ending injury. This is something you've dealt with in your career, Lebar, Yeah,
(03:32):
it sucks, man. That was a real bummer. And you
could tell just by the look that he gave as
soon as he went back down to the turf. I
just was watching and thinking, Oh, that's it. It's gonna
go just like this four plays in and that's that's
gonna be it for Aaron Rodgers this year.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
That sucks.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Sucks for him.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
All right?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Where do we start with this? Do we start with
the injury? Do do we rewind to Green Bay?
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Do we like?
Speaker 4 (04:03):
Where do we That was the first thing I asked
myself when I saw the injury take places, like when
we do the show tomorrow, where do we start?
Speaker 3 (04:11):
First?
Speaker 4 (04:11):
And foremost thoughts in prayers is what I came up with,
right Like, you want them to have a speedy recovery
whatever the injury may be, and that's most likely where
you start. The second place I ended up going to
was Green Bay. Just saw Jordan Love have a very
(04:38):
nice outing in their opener, and people are high on
the prospects of what Jordan Love can represent for Green Bay,
which led me to my thought. Connected to Green Bay,
whether people like it or not, Gundakuns and other Murphy
(05:01):
are probably sitting somewhere like we dodged a bullet and
and may have realized that, you know, in everything that
was taking place, that the possibility existed that that's where
Aaron Rodgers was at in his career. You don't know
what type of information that these these teams hold on
(05:23):
the health of these players. That was not the most
insanely ridiculous tackle Jonas like his legs got caught and
and you know, an Achilles type injury can happen any type.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Of way, but it almost like you almost felt like.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
It was possible that from prior injuries that this could
be something that was the injury could be imminent for
for Aaron Rodgers, is what I'll say. And so to me,
you look at you look at the way everything unfolded.
He left practice with a lower leg injury during camp.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, at some point He's had calf issues pop up
the past couple of years, and I think a couple
of different times in camp to where you know, we
were making the joke like, well, you know he's got calves,
must be nice. And then now you see it and
you go you look at the side angle. There's a
slow motion side angle that's making the rounds on social media.
You can see the achilles explode, like you can see
(06:33):
the side and the pop and you can almost see
it shoot back up into his calf. And so I
don't I wonder about it into it.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
So the thing about it is is calf injuries and
lower or calf problems. Lower leg problems generally generally are
leading towards you getting it, and I know first hand
you generally are heading towards pop a rupture. And and
(07:03):
so it's unfortunate that it took place for Aaron Rodgers.
It's unfortunate for the Jets because now we don't get
to see what they would have been if they had
Aaron Rodgers. Every every story doesn't turn out like Tom
Brady's story, It really doesn't. There there are harsh realities
(07:25):
that are connected to play in the game of football.
It happened, and it's it's unfortunate for for Aaron Rodgers
to be in a situation like this.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
So let me just add because obviously you have direct
knowledge because you suffered the Achilles injury, what is the
rehab like? Because I have heard that rehab for an
achilles is brutal.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
It's the surgery is painful, the recovery is painful, and
the rehab is painful. It's all painful, and it just
depends on what your tolerance and your threshold for pain is.
But you got to break up the scar tissue and
your heel. You have to work to get the mobility
(08:13):
back and the flexibility of the foot and the ankle.
You have to build your calf back up. My calf
is still small from from that that injury. I felt
like it was like letting an air out of a tire,
which I don't know what it's like to have a
tire obviously, but I've driven on I've driven on a
(08:36):
car that was losing air and the tire and you
know how it feels.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah, right.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
I just felt like I had no air in my leg,
like no bounce, like my it just wasn't alive.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
And I like.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
Limped for like two three years man before before I
really kind of got to a point of where I
could walk normal.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
It's a hell of an injury. Man.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
It's probably one of the worst injuries you can get,
and people come back from them all the time. I mean,
Kobe played through a rupture one time, obviously historically speaking,
It's just it's a complicated injury, and at his age, Jonas,
(09:23):
I just don't know why the hell you would try
to come back from an Achilles rupture, a full full
Achilles rupture. I don't know why you try to come
back from it. So then the next question is what
does this mean for his career, you know, and does
he come back or does he retire? Is that the
note he goes out on, you know, it's kind of
(09:47):
the reality of that that injury is. It's it's that's
a hard rehab.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Man.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
I can't imagine if this is going the way that
everybody expects it to be in its season ending. I
can't imagine that he wants to go out like that.
I I really can't. I just I look at it
and I think that he had such he was so
excited about the potential of playing in New York, but
he just was quoted as saying, yeah, I could see
(10:12):
playing until I'm forty five, Like it just rejuvenated and
I don't know if it's a direct shot at the Packers,
but there was something about being with the Jets that
just freshened up his feelings about playing and wanting to
be in the National Football League. And the idea that
he's going to walk away after four plays on an
injury like this, I just I find it hard to
(10:33):
believe now how effective.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
He is, it sounds horrible for that to be the
way it would end. But at his age, Like how
old is.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
He thirty nine? I don't know. I don't know, man
thirty nine with wear and tear, and he's been banged
up before, and I think this is if I'm not
miss I mean, he's suffered a couple of different injuries.
You know, just early in seasons. There was a collarbone issue,
there was a knee issue that he suffered. He'd like,
he's dealt with some stuff that's knocked him out and
(11:04):
he's missed significant time. And honestly, you know, like one
of the first things I thought of after you started
to see the reports and you started to see the
concern that he wasn't going to come back, and then
he's being carted off out of the blue tent doesn't
this just showcase how incredible Brett Farv's run was as quarterback,
how many games he played in a row, My god, man,
(11:27):
like you need there's got to be some Obviously the
durability is a factor, but there's also got to be
a little bit of luck that goes out.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
To the most. So I was the one that almost
broke that streak. Did you know that? Oh you er?
Speaker 4 (11:40):
If he didn't have a bye week after they played
against US, I folded him up nice and neatly and
sent him over to the sideline. If they didn't have
a bye week, he would have missed that next week
and I would have been the one responsible for breaking
his record.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
But you should put that, You should put that in
your Twitter bio, like if not for a bye week,
I folded up Brett Favre and what a ruined n freak.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Nice and neat too, bro. It wasn't sloppy, carry on,
it was it was neat.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
He did have a hell of a run. It takes.
I hate the word luck because.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
I'm not a big I'm not a big believer in luck.
I just think you make your luck. But in some
cases like that was bad luck for him. To get
hit and rolled up on like that and for it
to pop the way that it did in that circumstance,
that's bad luck.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
And like he that's just that's he didn't have luck
on his side.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
So you brought up you know, when you have the
calf issue and and stuff down there starts to you know,
hurt or you deal with pain or different.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
It gets tight.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
I was on the stretching board every day, like two
three times a day, on the stretching boards, stretching my
calf out.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
So when you said that, it reminded me of when
Richard Sherman did his achilles in a game. And I
want to almost positive was a Thursday night game, but
I remember he did his achilles and he kind of
gave the I told you so as he was coming
off the field like one of those because I think
(13:22):
he was dealing with the same stuff to where it
just didn't feel right. He felt like there was some
tightness there, there was something going on, and then ultimately
he got to the game and it popped and he
lost the rest of his you know, season, And I
think that was later obviously later in his career with
I think it was the Seahawks. It could have been
the Niners been almost positive it was Seattle. But the
(13:42):
point being he knew something's gonna happen, like something's about
to happen here. This is a problem. And I just
wonder if Rogers felt that because this is a couple
of different times this is popped up and look, not
wishing this on anybody, but man, Joe Burrow dealt with
calf issues this offseason. He missed several weeks. I just
(14:05):
wonder if there's something to that from a medical standpoint
that once you start to deal with that stuff, maybe
you need to take more time.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
He was in Seattle when he did it. Yeah, so
versus the Cardinals.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
That sucks, man, But it's a bummer and it's man.
Speaker 7 (14:19):
Four plays, four plays, four plays in Like, we just
spent the whole entire first segment talking about Aaron Rodgers
and his Achilles tendant when that was a hell of
a recovery for the New York Jets to be able
to bounce back.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
I mean, if I'm Zach Wilson talk about having to
stay prepared and stay ready in the midst of what
has literally been a brutal last year for him. In
terms of how he's viewed what has taken place and
where he ends up and listen, I don't I don't
(15:00):
look at him as being the catalyst per se. The
defense was the catalyst of winning that game. But he
had to make some big throws down the end of
the game, UH for them to get into position to
do some of the things that they were able to do.
So he did deliver in some aspects of all of this,
(15:23):
and and they were able to get through the game
and win the game against a quality opponent. I mean
that got that got lost, and I think it gets
lost because we probably.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
All know that that's the demise.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
I don't mean to laugh about, but I think we
all know that that's the demise of the jetsas I mean,
and they do have some talent. They do have some talent.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
And that was a fun game last night.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
There was that catch was ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Gall is pretty good.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yeah, he's pretty good. It is two pros and a
cup of Joe Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington,
Jonas Knox with you. You can listen to this show as
always on the iHeartRadio app. So we are gonna have
the usuals coming up later on, we got another edition

rather an hour two. We're also gonna have you er
you out to close up shop in our three of
the program. And again it's all yours until nine am
(16:18):
Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific here. But there was one
aspect of the injury last night to Aaron Rodgers that
could change the future for one other team in the NFL,
and we'll tell you who that is. That's next.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you here, come it up
in we'll call it about twenty minutes from now from
the ti Raq dot Com studios. An NFL All pro
is in trouble. We'll give you the details on that
here again twenty minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.
So one of the aspects to the injury last night
(17:10):
to Aaron Rodgers. And again we are a waiting word
in confirmation. But the feeling out of New York and
amongst people that have watched the replay of the injury
and just the mood of Robert Salah and what he
thinks this is going to turn into is that Rogers
is going to miss the rest of the season significant
amount of time, obviously because of the Achilles injury. Well,
(17:32):
one of the other aspects to this, and you mentioned
how the Packers may feel about this, that maybe they
dodged a bullet with everything going on, the injury and
Jordan Love's performance in week one.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
I mean, if everybody's being honest, if they're being honest, Jonas,
didn't you think about Green Bay at some point?
Speaker 1 (17:51):
I don't like to swim in the negative waters, you
know me.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
I'm not saying swim in negative water. I'm just saying,
did you or did you not at some point sit
there and be like somebody in Green Bay right now
sitting there like dang oh yeah with dodge the bullet.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Yeah, And I think that you know and whether or
not you know he's playing. Look, because the other part
of this conversation is people want to point to the
MetLife turf. Was that injury because of the turf.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
No, it's the the guy landed on on him. He
landed on him, right, I mean the way it happened,
it definitely would be the way that an achilles rupture
would would take place because it stretched. Like the way
he landed on his foot and the way his foot
(18:41):
was planted in the ground. I don't care if he
was on grass, I don't care if he was on
asphalt or concrete. It's just the way his foot, his
toe was was locked in on that on the ground, right,
and it was all the pressure was being taken by
his achilles tendon basically, Like that's just that's just that
was just the way it kind of played out. But
(19:04):
if his achilles tendant wasn't ready to rupture, it wasn't
going to rupture, that's the thing about it.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
It probably was already ready to go.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
Like that was probably his Achilles tendant was probably on
the clock.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
That's how that's to me.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
That's what my experience was, And and people that I've
spoken to about achilles injuries, it's it's something that has
been very prevalent, Like you mentioned, Richard Sherman, you know
I've talked to I remember one of my teammates, Lamar
and Marshall, a couple other guys that that I had
spoken to that I you know, played with or or
(19:41):
known as as you know, colleagues and fame, and all
of the stories were very similar in nature. Was that
you felt you felt that something was off about, like
your heel would be very very tight, like you you
like some people talk to about how you had like
vibrations going through your your the heel of your of
(20:05):
your foot, like different things, but they were all very similar.
They were all very similar in nature. And to hear
that he was dealing with those lower I would be
curious was the lower leg injuries that he was dealing with?
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Were they on the.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
Side of the foot that that the Achilles tendant ruptured?
Speaker 3 (20:27):
I would be I would be interested to know.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah, Lee, can you look that up just to get
confirmation on I believe it was that just the side
that he suffered the injury. Was that the side that
he had the calf issue on, Like which side was
the calf issue on? Because I think that it I
believe it was. But Yeah, the point is, like when
people are having the conversation about MetLife URF, first off,
(20:52):
just pointing to Metlife's urf. They changed it this offseason.
That was a story that came out because they've dealt
with those issues before. The Jets dealt with the Niners
lost a couple of different players a couple of years ago,
one of them being Nick Bosa, who suffered an injury.
So the MetLife turf has been a problem. But I
didn't look at that and go, oh, well, that's a
turf issue. That's just the way Leonard Floyd landed on
(21:15):
him and the way he got sacked and tackled. And also, look,
Rogers was under siege a little bit just through the
first four plays. He had to scramble to throw the
ball away on one of his other pass attempts. I
think might have been his only other pass attempt to
where he had to just get rid of the ball
because he didn't have a lot of time to do so.
And I think that was when Mackai Becton went low
(21:38):
to try and block it could have been Leonard Floyd
again and Rogers scrambled away. So just it felt like
that was something that maybe was on the verge of happening.
It's unfortunate and if people want to have the conversation
about grass versus turf. Big picture, we had that conversation.
Julian Edelman pointed out, look for soccer games, these international
soccer games overall out of natural grass. Maybe this is
(22:02):
going to be something that moves that that conversation in
this direction because it's Rogers, and when things happen to
star quarterbacks, rules are all of a sudden change and
the game has changed. So maybe that's maybe that's something
they investigate. But as it pertains to the Green Bay Packers,
you know, it was a little bit disappointing last night
(22:22):
just from this sense. Part of the trade compensation when
they did the deal for Rogers and sent him to
the Jets was that if Rogers played sixty five percent
of the offensive snaps this year for New York, their
conditional second round pick that the Packers picked up in
the trade would bump up to a first round pick. So,
now that he's not.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Playing, to give up a first round pick.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Well, no, now that he's not playing.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
They don't have to give up for first.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Yeah, the Packers are going to end up with the
second round pick instead of it being moved up to
a first right, Yeah, So that's.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
That's what I meant. That's what I meant. Yes, that's yeah,
I get what you're saying. Yeah, that's it's I mean,
there's a lot. There's a lot here, man. There was
a lot riding on Aaron Rodgers from from both both sides.
But I just you can't help but to think, like,
if you're in Green Bay and you're watching that game,
(23:17):
you feel for them. I would hope that everybody that
represents green Bay were first empathetic to, you know, to
to what Aaron Rodgers would happened to him for one. Yeah,
but but you can't help but to think that they're
sitting there like like, what what would our season look
(23:38):
like right now had that injury took place in green Bay?
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Had that took place in green Bay?
Speaker 4 (23:46):
And and and that's like, for me, was this It
almost seemed like if there was any time, that would
be the perfect time for you to get Jordan Love
involved in the in the team, involved in being the
store order finally making the.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
Move to move forward. It was probably this off season.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
You know, things had run dry between the organization and
Aaron Rodgers got a very contentious over the last couple
of seasons. It just seemed like This was the right time.
If you're going to ever at any point in time
make the move to get Jordan Love acclimated and activated.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
This was the time.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
And so it's crazy to think that this was the
year that you probably was the most critical year to
get Aaron Love in if Aaron Love was indeed going
to be the guy of the future moving forward.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Excuse me what I said, Aaron.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Who's Aaron Love? Aaron together?
Speaker 4 (24:48):
I'm putting Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love together, which would
probably be a sweet combination. I just think this was
the time for Jordan Love to be put in and
it just it's just wow, the timing of such a
serious injury of nature taking place to the person that
(25:09):
he replaced, and it happened in a different a different state,
a different city, a different stadium, and that's going to
be to me, that's probably part of the storyline here,
because there was no real significance outside of that because
Aaron Rodgers didn't do We can't sit there and say, Okay,
(25:31):
the New York Jets were heading towards a Super Bowl
before Aaron Rodgers got injured. There is nothing to really
report or talk about in terms of what Aaron Rodgers
impact has been on the New York Jets because it
was not he didn't do enough. There was nothing done.
There was nothing there. Four plays in and he's done.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
He didn't even complete a pass, Like it wasn't there's
it's almost as if his career with the Jets thus
far never happened. It's been build up and hype and
conversation and hard knocks and Dalvin Cook signing there and
a lot of you know, expectations like I thought the
(26:13):
Jets were going to be a playoff team. I didn't.
I didn't think super Bowl. We were discussing, you know,
what are fair expectations for this team. I thought they'd
be a playoff team with Rogers, but you know, the AFC,
that's a daunting task to come out of the AFC,
and they didn't even get the opportunity. They got four
plays in and now we're waiting word on what everybody
assumes is going to be a season ending injury. Meanwhile,
(26:34):
the Packers, you know, and obviously we're on in Wisconsin
right now, they're looking at it going, yeah, we miss
out on a first round pick because they didn't play
enough snaps. But after what you saw from Jordan Love
on Sunday You're You're You're in an okay spot, and
it did feel like look and also he's thirty nine
years old, like.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
He's not young.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Yeah, and so it was either sooner rather than that
Green Bay was going to move on. I think the
issue that people had was when they made the move
that they made and drafted Jordan Love, and then Rogers
went out and had those seasons all of a sudden,
like the clock was ticking and they were waiting for
(27:15):
the one down year that he had. The problem is
it took a little bit longer because he had two
MVP seasons. He just decided, all right, screw you, and
this will be the way I want to finish things
up here. And then, you know, I would assume that
probably members of the Packers organization are going to reach
out to him at some point when they get the news,
and of course.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
They are, well when they get the news, they already
know the news. Listen, He's had a brilliant career. He's
one of the greatest players to ever play the game.
It's unfortunate that it happened, but nonetheless it is continued
to be a harsh reality that people have to accept
(27:55):
is that in football, it's not a matter of if
you get injured, it's a matter of when. And that
does not discriminate. Injuries does not discriminate on the biggest
stars versus the non stars, the franchise players versus the
non franchise role players. It doesn't discriminate. Injuries happen, and
(28:16):
sometimes serious injuries they happen, and I think that that's
kind of it's pretty wild timing and pretty I don't know,
I don't know what the right word would be for
it happening to Aaron Rodgers. I'm sure a lot of
people could come up with different words that they would
(28:37):
feel are maybe relevant. I don't know what the appropriate
word would be for, you know, I guess what the
timing of his injury. But I do know that that
is a part of this game and untimely injuries. Injury
is always going to be untimely. There's no such thing
(28:57):
as an on time injury. Right, So, you know.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
What, I think, I'm okay getting hurt right now. This
feels like the window that I'm okay with getting hurt.
Right so, you know, I got about fifteen minutes to kill.
You want to injure me, you know, just why not.
We'll get this out of the way now.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
It's a good never a good time this man. But
it'll be interesting to see how he handles this. You
know what direction he goes in is a is it
a comeback story or is it a story of I've
proven myself. I did everything humanly possible to be the
best that I could be and it's time to move on.
(29:36):
An Achilles' injury will make you take inventory. Believe you me,
believe you me. I'm a I'd like to believe I'm
a pretty tough guy. Like and when I say tough,
I really mean tough in the sense that not I
go around and I can fight or anything like that.
I'd like to believe I'm more of a tough guy
(29:56):
in terms of I know how to deal with pain,
like extreme amounts of pain, because I've gone through extreme
injuries and amounts of pain that have gone with that.
The Achilles rupture for me, at times had tears coming
(30:18):
out of my face because of how bad it hurt.
It hurt so intense, like the the amount of pain
and that moment in time is something that will always
stay with me. And I wrecked a motorcycle. I wrecked
(30:39):
a motorcycle and had to like figure out how to
start walking again. There was a lot of things I
had to deal with pain wise after that accident. That
achilles tendon rupturing is is right up there with wrecking
a motorcycle into a guard. It's it's up there in
(31:03):
terms of the amount of pain. I never fod. I
don't recall ever like having tears come out my face
and I'm like, I'm not saying I was weeping, Like
I'm saying, there was so much pain where you're like
shaking your hand and shaking your fists and tears are
coming out of your face like unforced. It's just like
(31:27):
it's just happening. That's how serious. That's how that's how
painful an Achilles tendon injury is. But people have come
back from it. Yeah, people have come back from it.
And the technology and the way these these techniques are
doing the repairs have been really good. So it'll be
(31:47):
interesting to see how, you know, how he you know,
if he decides that he wants to try to come
back and recover from it.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
Yeah, but it's we will again keep you posting on that.
Any updates or new was on the Rogers injury and
the status of him for the remainder of the season.
We'll have you covered here on two pros and a
cup of Joe throughout the course of this show. But yeah,
we did get confirmation here quickly that the calf issue
Rogers dealt with was in the left calf this preseason
and that was the the same calf and lower leg
(32:17):
that was injured last night. So whether those two are connected,
it feels like they probably would be.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
But again, whatever, no, you never know. There's no reason
to like over speculate on it, Jonas. But I'm gonna
just be honest with you. You feel that thing before it
goes you definitely. Everyone that I've spoken to that that
we you know, we compared notes on on ruptures. You
feel it for a little bit before it goes. Yeah,
(32:44):
and he probably was feeling that that. You know, he
was feeling it, and you know, it's just unfortunate. You know,
you hope he recovers well and recovers quickly. Yeah, would
love to know at some point once once this all
settles in, you know, is he going to hit the
rehab process to make a comeback or you know, or
other be interesting to see.

In case you missed it, Corball pro dB Adam Pacman
Jones was arrested at Cincinnati International Airport WOW and booked
on misdemeanor chargers of alcohol, intoxication, disorderly and terroristic threatening.
When he was released, he had told WKRC TV that
(35:24):
he was released and that he was simply asking to
be moved to another seat because the phone charger for
the two seats he had purchased wasn't working.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Barbaric, but he was told that they would have to
turn the plane around.
Speaker 9 (35:35):
But he Vihetmaly denies all allegations, says, I am hurt
and this is embarrassing.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
So he made terroristic threats on the anniversary of nine
to eleven at an airport. That's bad timing, Yeah, not ideal.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
There's never any good timing for terroristic right.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
Yeah, the eleventh or the twelfth, doesn't really matter.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
This guy's a terrorist.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Jeez, I'm a great deal from Mike North here. But listen,
did you know he got after it a little bit?
And uh, you know he's I will say this, this
the his relationship with Chris Henry's kids and just the
(36:22):
way he's handled that. Like I know, pac Man went
through some stuff obviously early in his career that were,
you know, some problematic things. And this isn't the first
time he's had an issue at the airport. Remember when
he knocked out that guy who was like trying to
fight him at the airport years ago. There's video.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Remember when he got knocked out in a boxing match.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Pac Man did, didn't he? I don't know that he did.
I know Frank Orr did or Yeah, no, no, not
Frank or Adrian Peterson did. He fought lay?
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Yeah, but I think pac Man got knocked out man?
Speaker 1 (36:59):
Did he?
Speaker 9 (37:01):
He lost to Bobby Laning in rough and rowdy fight.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Yeah, he lost to rouugh and Rowdy via barstool. So hey, listen,
hopefully you know all of misunderstanding, and you know we're
off to bigger and better things for pac Man Jones.
What else we gotta leave, guys, in case you missing.
Speaker 9 (37:19):
Lebron James is reportedly ready to commit to Team USA
for next year's Summer Olympics in Paris. He's already spoken
to Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Jason Tatum, and
Draymond Green about coming on board as well.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
Cool, that's just it's football season. Nobody gives a crap
about the Olympics next year. Right now, who cares? It's
football season.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
Maybe the timing of it is because the US just
get upset by somebody.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Yeah, but like it's football season, nobody cares.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
But I think that's the point. Lebron is strategic like that.
The US just lost to somebody in the semi finals
of what the World Championship or World something. Yeah, so
you know, So now I guess he's doing his his
rendition of the the dream team.
Speaker 1 (38:10):
Yeah, he's got to recruit. He's gotta go out there
and recruit, you know, top of the dim Damn.
