So the Cincinnati Bengals started off last season zero to
two and went on to make the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Well they've done the same thing this year.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, it feels a little different, though it does different
about it different. Joe Burrow's got that little calf issue
that popped up again yesterday, you know, reaggravated. We can
talk to doctor David Chow coming up next to hour
opponents that they lost to too. Yeah, and that feels
a little different. Like your started off your season already
(01:41):
two games back in your division. That would I would say,
I don't know if my I don't think it was
two divisional games back to back last year that they lost.
I don't believe I recollect that.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
But I mean if this year, if it was, we
can clean it up in the podcast. Well I don't
I believe I'm correct in that assessment assumption. Let me
do my home. Yeah, we're efforting here and then let's.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
See what we got here. Huh oh, Yeah, you're right.
Pittsburgh in Dallas last year you go so one divisional game, yeah,
but not too two in a row. It's kind of
hard Man. So you mentioned this that Burrow just didn't
look right week one, you did say that, Yeah, and
(02:27):
so here we are again. And now you know he
was talking after the game about it being you know,
his calf was really sore. We obviously saw what happened
with you know, Rogers and his cafe issue. I'm not
saying that's a prelude to this is going to be
an Achilles thing that pops up, but it just it
feels like something's amiss. And I don't know if it
is just because he's not healthy or whatever, but he
(02:50):
has not looked.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Very good early in the season.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
No, yeah, So but congratulations with the Baltimore Ravens. The
Baltimore Ravens are a two and oh team. I've been
trying to tell Brady for weeks and weeks about you know,
my guys, A Flowers, been trying.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
To tell them for a long time.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
But Lamar and the Baltimore Ravens do look like the
best team in that division. I know Cleveland's gonna play
later on tonight, so we've got a WESTREADI yeah, and
so I just I look at it and I go,
so maybe Baltimore could be one of these teams like
Miami that could be a sneaky contender making it making
a run here.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
Why is that a surprise to you? Though they've been
consistently a team that gets to the playoffs. It's more
about what they do once they get there.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, they've been a letdown. I've picked them to go
to the super Bowl, like the last two years they've
been Well I'm not saying that. Yeah, I mean, but
how much of a contender can Baltimore be? That's I
think that could be question that that you have to
ask yourself right now.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Look that they can be a.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Team that I think gets to the AFC Championship game.
Right Like, if you look at right now the AFC picture,
the AFC West is not as good as thought.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
You know, Kansas City.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
You throw up there at saying they're the lead team
as a one to one football team. Las Vegas is
right there with them. That division is not what we
thought so far. Now you can make the same case,
I guess about the AFC North. It's a little unfair
because you know, you got divisional matchups, so you know
some of those losses are coming against each other. A
little cannibalism, I guess, But I just I look at
(04:24):
it and think, they we know they're a playoff team.
It's how far they can go in the playoffs. And
what I think you like seeing is this is a
new offense with Todd munkin week one kind of shakey
versus Houston week two look better, the passing game look better.
So and it helps to get Mark Andrews back. I mean,
obviously he was the missing agree at week one. But
I look at it and I think this team can
(04:45):
be a team that's dangerous, can get on a run.
But they got to get healthy in the secondary, and
this offense has to continue to evolve. And I think
then you do view them as that legitimate shot once
they get once they get it. I don't think any
team wants to play the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
I don't. I think people are like, well, look at
their truck record.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
I was like, yeah, but asking any defensive coordinator, they
don't want to have to game plan for Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
He was putting some balls on the rope yesterday too.
I mean he was he looked pretty good, man, he
looked was that bad?
Speaker 3 (05:18):
I mean, you're you're gonna get on me?
Speaker 1 (05:19):
I mean, my god, put it on the rope again.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
I've been clean all show, working on a perfect game.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Right now, I'm gonna I'm gonna move on from that
because my interpretation of where we could have gone with
that is probably horribly bad.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
And no, that's what I was thinking.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Where are you thinking that?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Yeah, when you you're a whole pause thing. Earlier I
was like, well, I mean you need to pause for
that though.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Damn so so so Lamar Jackson threw through some really
fine balls. So Lamar Jackson was really good in the
passing game, uh yesterday and during during the course of
the game, good well rounded game. If they if if
(06:01):
their defense can find a stride and stay with that stride,
that would be anything resembling what Baltimore has become known
to be in terms of how they play defense, they
can be a legitimate contender out of the AFC. Like
I'm looking at the AFC yesterday, I'm looking at the
(06:23):
league yesterday, and when you like look at the way
like games were playing out, I just kind of feel like,
don't we have to continue to start rethinking how we
look at at who we think are the good teams
and who aren't the good teams, and I just think
it's like kind of redefining itself.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Is it time for the game I want to play?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Oh I believe? Yeah? Yeah, yeah yeah, I would love
to play that game. All right, So let's play that
game then? All right, So you want to start with
owing two teams or you want to start with two
and oh teams.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Let's start on the high the two and oh teams
right now?
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Okay, so two and oh teams in the NFL? Are
you a believer or not a believer?
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Right?
Speaker 2 (07:06):
So we start with the Miami Dolphins. Do you have
any by the way, I think game show music here,
let's say are you a believer?
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Really?
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Really set the tone here that is.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Definitely Are you a believer or not believer music?
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Are you on a game show? Announcer intro? Come on,
here we go. Now it's time for America's favorite game.
Do you believe in this two and o team? First up,
the Miami Dolphins. Yes, yes, I agree, resounding yes, Yes,
the Miami Dolphins, I agree. Next up the team just mentioned,
(07:39):
the Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Yes, come on, I'm gonna say I'm gonna say no
because I've believed in them.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
So much in the past, and they've let me down.
So I'm saying, no, this is personal. Come on, bar,
it's personal. That's personal personal.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
See Dion said it, so you could say that it's personal.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
I believe in the Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 5 (08:02):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Next up we go over to the NFC. What about
the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
No, I thought.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
I am definitely about Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
My Super Bowl pick thet I don't believe.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yes, I don't have winning.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Next him on their props, but I don't believe yet.
What about the Philadelphia Eagles. Yes, hell, yes, believer in
the Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Yeah they are to though, yes.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
It's crazy, and then next time it's too close games
we go over Tom I'm a believer in Dallas more
than I am Philly.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yeah, I feel the same. I mean I get what.
I played out the season that way.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
So no way.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
What about the Washington Commanders, Hell, not so much. Yeah,
I'm not not not a believer in the Washington Commanders,
although I'm happy they are too or No, but no,
I'm not about Do you have to say that because
you played for No, I'm not at all.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
I feel like you kind of had to say that,
because not at all.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
I have no relationship I played for.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
You don't play for the Commandos, I played for.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
I play one year for the New York Giants in
the National Football League.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Who did you play for?
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Washington Washington Redskins? Jesus, Oh, we gotta dump that's there,
goes the game show. How is it bad to say
the team that you played for? Like I can't, like,
you can't say I can't say it if it's on
my check stubs, like it's on all my check stubs.
So I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
I don't even want to say what I'm thinking right
now because I didn't find this funny.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
But I can't come on, let her fly.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Say.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
I was on a podcast recently, okaycent gentleman, A gentleman
who said the name of that team yes, referred to
him also by that name, yes, And I was like, oh,
all right, Like I guess people are just gonna that's
how they refer to it. And then I was like,
if I said that, I feel like I get in trouble.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
But but why well I don't look the same, but
I mean neither.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
But neither do I. I don't either. I'm saying, is like,
am I going to get in trouble.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
I don't know. I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
I mean I played for him. Like what am I doing?
Like what am I saying? That's incorrect?
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Like literally, I'm with you my entire pro career, I
played for that team. I'm with you, Like you can't
say I can't say. I can't was that revision in history?
Speaker 3 (10:27):
I can't say it. I'm saying I can't say it.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
I'm saying my employer was the Washington Redskins. Now they
might be known as the Commanders now, but that's employed me, commandos,
that's but that's who employed me.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Hey, It's like that guy in Ireland, Brady that just
dropped it in middle middle of the conversation, just dropped
the R word, just like oh yeah, what about the
Washington and then just hit.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
It like can you get upset at me for saying
that my employer was the Washington Ridskins?
Speaker 2 (10:53):
God?
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Can you get can you get up?
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Like honestly? Like am I getting called in?
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Like?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Am I getting canceled for saying that that I worked for.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
It's like Brady played for the Notre Dame fighting Irish?
What are they trying to say about Irish people?
Speaker 1 (11:06):
They're fighters.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
They all fight.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Irish people fight.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
A bit judgmental there, I think, I.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Mean, let's do this, let's get this game.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yeah, do you believe in this two and oh football team?
What about No? The Atlanta Falcons. Nope, I'm gonna say no.
But I do love what they've done so far. I
like what they've done. That's Jon is a is a beast.
I'm gonna say.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Now, want to stay in the South.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Next up we go to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
No, No, I'm in.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
I think I'm in into. I love what Baker's doing. Man,
They've got and they.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Still have a good like to believe.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
I'm just saying in the NFC South, is there that
many teams that you really look at?
Speaker 3 (11:55):
South?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
I guess i'll know tonight the Dirty South. But I don't.
I don't believe in Tampa this year. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
I like what Baker's doing. He's cooking. He looks good, man,
he does.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
He's baking.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Their offense looks better than the offense look last year
with Tom Brady.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
Well, he's more mobile, like he gets some zone reads
stuff in there. He's gonna moving around.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
He's all fired up talking trash. I love a fired
up Baker Mayfield. He's so much fun to watch.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
Mike Evans, godwins, you know, making grabs. Come on, you
have Penn State being represented there. You got to be
a believer in the Chris Well this morning, I feel
pretty dangerous.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
I I don't believe in Chris, I said, I don't
believe in Tampa Bay all.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Right, last, but not least the final two and oh team.
Do you believe in the San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Forty nine ers. Yes, yes they are.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
They are one of the better teams in the NFL.
Not a big surprise there. So there we go. That
is a look at your two and oh football.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
I mean, did we want to go oh and two
and before we wrap this up?
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Yeah, we want to.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Jonas would try to drag us onto another segment, but
we probably can go and let's try to.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Get all right, So here we go. The New England Patriots.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Yes, wait, you believe in them being an oh and
two teams?
Speaker 1 (13:09):
I believe in them being able to turn it around.
Is that what we're saying? Believe believe or not? Yeah?
I believe that. I believe that they can turn it around.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
I believe that's especially with the Jets their situation, and uh, look,
the Bills are one and one right now. It's not
like they're on too and starts, so they definitely have
a shot. I think they played a tough schedule to
start off the season, that's yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Yeah, I believe the New England Patriots can turn it
around as well too. Next week, go over to the
Cincinnati Bengals. Yes, yeah, I mean they did it last year, right,
I don't oh, you don't know.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
It's bad, it's a bad start, but wow, I must
still say they can turn.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
It's eleven point five something percent of the time you
start ohing to you make the playoffs. I mean they
did it last year. Yeah, I mean, well, the stat's
kind of all over the place.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Again.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
We were talking about that on the JKS.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
This weekend show.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
That had a great oh this weekend too. By the way,
I listened to.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Them all yeah, but I call it the Penn State game.
You know, did they with a lot of people there,
didn't they call it a Penn State game? Yeah's say
to them, Yeah, I'm pretty certain I listened. All right,
So the so we're we're looking at the Bengals. Yeah,
the Bengals going to next up, the Houston Texans are Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
They are hanging C J straight out to try. Man,
you can't let them throw that much. That offensive lineing
is to protect it better than you run the football.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Do you guys believe that there's hope for the l
A Chargers.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
No, that's that.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Seat's so hot. I don't think can sit down. He's
standing the rest.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Of the They will make the playoff.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
You're saying it right now, they're making the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Are making the playoffs. Book that lead.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Book it.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
I'm gonna say, book it, Eddie, book it, Eddie. I'm
gonna say no. Next the Denver Broncos. Oh no, it's over.
I mean, can I see this much? They have been close.
I mean they gave away week one, Week two. I'm
not sure how you view that. That hell we got
(15:11):
at the end, that's a that's a damn PI. Yeah,
but I feel mary to get to where they were
at cause.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
I know, I know, But it's I'll put it this way.
It's a new offense, there's a new head coach. I
still give them. I think they can climb out of it.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Okay, I mean Russell Wilson might be the second second
best quarterback.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
In the state. Wow.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Yeah, I'm not kidding.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
All right.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
So now we transition over to the Minnesota Vikings. You
think they can turn it around? No, yes, I don't.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
I do.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
I don't I do.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
I mean, who's running away with that division?
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Nobody's running away with it. I just don't believe in them.
The Chicago Bears, hell, turn it around.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Hell no, let me tell you something.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
I can already see it now, Caleb Williams with that
Bear see and you might be.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
The only one who can turn that thing around.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Yeah, I think. Goodness, don't worry, there's seventy percent. The
next week go over the final. How about the Arizona Cardinals.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Although it's been really fun to watch, but it's hard
not to think that there wasn't a mess is sent
down from Micaeh Bidwell Jonathan Ganner and saying, Hey, you
know we're tanking this season, right like, we're not trying to.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Win these games.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
They play hard, man.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
They play hard. Josh Dobbs playing really well. That's been
the biggest surprise to me. And no one's gonna pay
attention because they're going to is how well Josh Dobbs
has played. Considering the circumstances. He's been there like three weeks, right,
and he gives them a fighting chance every single time.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
Credit to Josh Dobbs.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Are you guys shocked that the Raid are one and
one and not aner and two team we're judging right now?
They may as well be.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
They could be last week one, by the way, I
would love it.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
I would love to include the Raiders and on it,
but they got one way.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Have you seen though the stats on Buffalo off of
the loss? With Josh Allen, the way he played Week one,
it was like he had the red ass. You knew
the Raiders were in for a spanking, Like you just
knew that was set up for.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
I was surprised the Raiders had a lead. Oh my god,
this is just not going to go well. And the
next thing you know, you look over and it's like, oh,
Buffalo's got the ball again. Buffalo had I think it
was a forty twenty time of possession advantage. Every time
I looked at the TV, Buffalo had the ball again.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
So so that's our this edition of two and zero
zero and two. Are you a believer?
Speaker 3 (17:50):
It's yeah? Do you believe? Do you believe? Do you believe.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
You know, next time we believe, Jonas, I think we
gotta put the Don't Stop Believing song on a game music.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Yeah, you know, don't Stop Up Believe.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
I think that's better than the Share song.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Yeah, hold on to your Bed?
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah yeah, yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Is it that one of our interest songs.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
That's a good one.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
It is a good one.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
Jonas is gonna trash it because he listens to trash
as well. It would be better than the one Brady picked.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Yeah, Jonas.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
The type of music Jonas listens to, it's like you
literally take your hand out and you grab a hammer with.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Your other hand and just pound away your hand and
you can't feel that.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
No, no, no, you grab a weight the hammer and
you just.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
See what you can do with it. My song should
be living on a prayer Man. I'm going to be
singing that this weekend. Boom yeah at ten no and
beaver Okay, you know I'm planning on doing like tell
me what you guys think. I know we're up on
the break, like been up on a break at that clock,
but you know what, Like I want to do a
(18:55):
movie night at our baseball stadium on Friday nights when
I'm in town. What do you think? What do you
guys think? Like put like like almost like a drive
in but not like you know how people are.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Why are you you doing this? Why?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Because I think it would be fun?
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Like do you like not do that as a kid
you always wanted So there's.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
No But I'm just I've never done I've never connected
with our fan base like I've been doing this year
ever and it's been I've.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Seen promoting it.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
It's been freaking phenomenal. Man, Like I go crash tailgates
like I've always had to do.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
So you've kind of always done that though, right, Yeah,
but not.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Like like I walk all the way around like just
seeing everybody. It's kind of it's like really cool. So
I was thinking to myself, like I'm gonna do a
tailgate party on Saturday. But it's a late game Saturday night.
People look white out right, the White House is going
to be crazy. So it's going to be so many
people in town and and at the baseball stadium they
(19:59):
play the they play the games during the day on
the big screen, and I start thinking to myself, like
that's pretty cool, Like you come up in the stadium,
you can watch the games that are going on. They
have liquor license, so you could buy drinks like you
can get food stuff like that. So I was like, man, hell,
why not do a Friday night like movie, Like let's
(20:19):
all hang out in the baseball stadium in watch a
movie while you get a LeVar Allen or get some
wings and some fries. Like sounds like kind of cool
to me. I don't know. Fun you got you think
that's pretty cool? Yeah, no, I think would you do
it when you come hang out?
Speaker 2 (20:34):

(20:57):
We've got ourselves around here anymore. We've got ourselves.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Although there's a whole lot of dust right there that
you can get a hold of.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
We sure do. But we've got ourselves coming up next here.
From the tire rack dot Com Studios. A situation in
football that involves a lot of haters and a lot
of people that were very upset at something that took
place over the course of the weekend, and it's yours
here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radios.
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming
up in we'll call it about fifteen minutes from now
from the tire rack dot Com Studios. It is a
Monday tradition. We're gonna have an FSRR for you here
when we report any issues, injuries, ailments from a long
weekend for all of us here on the career. So
(22:00):
we'll get into that for you again a little over
fifteen minutes from now. So let's get into the big
story in college football, the double overtime thriller between Colorado
and Colorado State. Colorado gets done. There was a lot
of hooplah Brady Quinn was there, Lol, Wayne Concert, Rob
Gronkowski eating turkey legs, rock the party. Yeah, everybody was there.
(22:21):
It was a party on campus epicenter. Man. So what
was the difference between this past weekend and the weekend prior?
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Brady?
Speaker 2 (22:29):
As far as the atmosphere goes.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
I mean, we had a little wheezy there.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
I mean, Gronk was there, a craze or a craze
however the hell you say the DJ's name of it
was like, there's a people were there, man, Master P
was in the house.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
P was there.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
See, there's all sorts of dudes like I mean, it's
just it's a different vibe. Man, When when Dion's there,
yn't they don't He was there the week before, but
I'm sure he came back and he lives in Denver.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
You know.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
It's just it's hard to put into words the promotion
around all of it, Like, let's just cut to the chase,
forget forget the environment.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Then the atmosphere. Atmosphere is great. It's been great the whole year.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Though this is a one win team a year ago
that these people are ecstatic about prime and where their
team's at. The Jay Norvel comments really fueled all this, right,
and it played into what Dion's been preaching forever about
how it's personal and talk with him. You know, at
(23:33):
a certain point, players get tired of hearing their coach
try to motivate them. It's kind of like water off
a duck's back, and so you look for other forms
of motivation, and Jay Norvell gave them motivation, if you will.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
The only thing I wonder in question is if it.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
Became a distraction at some point, because that was I
would say probably their sloppiest performance. And I know Colorado
State was coming off of buye, so they had a
couple of weeks to prepare, and they've had a couple
weeks to dissect with the weaknesses like Colorado can't stop
a crossing route, my god, like all a Colorado State.
There was one guys across the field, you know, and
(24:11):
there was just completions and opportunities there all day. So
clearly they exploited some weaknesses. This is the first time
where you saw Colorado kind of falter a little bit.
The previous two games. They've taken advantage of being ahead
in the turnover margin. But I do wonder if it
became a bit of a distraction almost where things became
(24:33):
more about I mean, you saw the pregame scuffle. Obviously
there's the cheap shop by Henry Blackburn on Travis Hunter
that knocked him out of the game. It almost became like,
we're not as focused on making adjustments and all this,
We're more focused on like the are it's personal and.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
The emotions that tied into it.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
Now that being said, they've now found a way of
winning a game three different ways, right opening up on
the road the way things kind of started there versus
t taking advantage of that and really for out the gate,
like getting a lead and keeping and battling to maintain
that lead. Then next week, you know, they kind of
same thing where they were able to control the game,
(25:12):
they just couldn't really break it oup until the second half.
This was one where now they needed it the final
moments to go into ot to be able to do
that the way they did. Good teams find different ways
of winning games and that's part of it. But again,
the headlines kind of stole the show going into it,
and I think that's one of the things that, like
you hear other pundits and people talk about, like we Hey, yeah,
(25:34):
my mom taught me to take my sunglasses hat off
to when I'm talking to adults.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Here's the thing Dion does too. Like anyone who sits.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
There and makes comments saying that like, well, yeah, he
should take a sunglasses, he does.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
He does.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
If you walked around their facility, you would literally see
a sign outside of all the meeting rooms no earrings,
no hats, no sunglasses. There's not dudes sitting in their
meeting rooms when they're going through all of this catch
with the It's not like that's happening. Like what you
(26:10):
see is a promotion. He sold one point two million
on Friday alone on his sunglasses on Friday alone, one
point two million.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Like people get too.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Caught up in the show and what they don't see
is like what's underneath. It's like the tip of the iceberg.
There's a lot of player development. There's a lot of
things going on underneath the surface that you don't see it.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
I'm what businessman, I'm just sitting here running to numbers
of my hey brouh, Holy smokes.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
But that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
Like it's it's it's unfair because you get pundits, people
who don't know that want to comment on it like
they do. And then and it's like, well, yeah, you've
never actually been inside the facility. You've never actually seen
what he's preaching to these young men, what they're talking about.
So I just every single time, I'm always sitting there,
like a lot of people just they only focus on the.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
X tier and the show and everything else that goes
along with it. You know. I just that's what kind
of bothers me about it.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
But like like a Michael Harrison kid, you know, I'm
catching I think that the go ahead touchdown all that,
Like I bet him on the elevator. Couldn't have been
a nicer young man. With the way connect himself every.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Entail too, you could tell he's a cool kid.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Yeah, all of them.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Like all these kids you come across and meet, You're like,
they're good kids.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
They're getting good coaching.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
This isn't some like flashy thing like it was all
for promotion of the sunglasses. But like people, people read
into it way more than they need to.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
It's crazy to me.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
I thought the the the waiting to see the game
was tremendous, The fact that it was a night game
and all this stuff happened leading up to it. I
thought it was I'm like, really like, I'm waiting for
this game, like it's a playoff.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Those fans and those students looked a little worn out
by the time Bro, I got that.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
I can't even imagine.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
I saw some people.
Speaker 4 (28:11):
I was like, like, they ain't gonna make it.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
I couldn't even I can't even imagine.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
But they were going hard for what twelve fourteen hours at.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
That point, it was at four am.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
It's a lot of excitement, man, Yeah, dang, it's just
you know, and you said a lot right there, and
just for me, my take on it was when when
you look at how that game played out. I mean,
Jay Norval is a blue collar type of guy, and
Novel Norvel Norvel some sets. Yeah, my apologies, Norvel, you
(28:49):
know to me for their team to raise their level
of a performance, because that's exactly what they did. I mean,
the kid come Era, it's unfortunate that he goes out
with with the you know, the targeting, but I mean
he was a he was a game wrecker. He kind
(29:10):
of wrecked the game for for them, for Colorado State.
It was as competitive a game. It delivered on so
many different levels in terms of the entertainment aspect of it,
the production as as Q said, it was, it was
all there. It was, it was all there in its entirety.
(29:35):
And to see it play out in a way where
Shador Sanders is put in a prime time situation where
the game is literally solely on his arm and in
his hands ninety eight yard it's good man, the kid
(29:55):
went ninety eight yards. So in a game where the
intensity level and I ask myself the same question. If
this type of intensity is created every single week because
of the amount of attention that Dion Sanders is garnering,
can these kids continue to handle the intensity level of
(30:19):
what it feels like going into those games. I mean,
there's that's got to be a different level of fatigue
on these Colorado players than it would be on other
teams out there. And week three of the college season,
so is that going to be that way the entire
season is Week four? Is the intensity level on these
(30:40):
kids going to be the same as they continue to
move forward? And can they handle that? Because that is
that is a lot of weight on those Coloraderado players Shoulders.
I mean, that's a lot of pressure that they have
to deal with. Going into these games, so it'd be
interesting to see, I mean, Kenny Ken maintain.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
It's definitely gonna be intense the next two weeks, that's
for sure.
Speaker 2 (31:05):

After your sports weekend happens, so it's time to get
the FSR IR report.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
All right, who's got something they want to report?
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Well, I was migraining this this whole last two weeks
for some reason.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah, man, I'm a classic migrainer since like since high school,
I've gotten them. Like I'll go through seasons of them,
Like I'll go years without getting them, and then every
so often I'll go like a couple of weeks where
I get them. And I got some really really bad ones.
So there's my eye. I was definitely sitting in the
(33:27):
dark steaming, you know, try to moisturize my nostrils and
my nasal passage and all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
Does that help? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Well yeah, because because for me, dry dry air triggers
me sometimes.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
California always dry.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Oh no, not always dry. No, it's kind of cozy.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Humidity.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
It's not No, it's not humid. It's it's like a
little bit of you know, you got a little bit
of air, like moisture in the air. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's a little no moisture. Anyway, I was hurting, man like,
and I mean I got one on on Saturday morning,
and it's like, I don't know, it would be the
(34:11):
equivalent I would assume I've never had this happen, but
it would have to be the equivalent of like a
Boa constrictor being wrapped around your head but only squeezing
you where you can feel the pain on one side
of your head, and you don't know when they're going
to come, but you can start to feel like the
onset of it. Sometimes it's really really not not fun
(34:35):
at all. Actually, no it's not. And they put me
when I say, ir, this was literally a weekend f
s R I R oh.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
It makes you feel any better. I ripped my shorts
in the supermarket bending over to grab something that.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Makes me laugh, it makes me smile, blew out the
entire back.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
How do you? How do you do that?
Speaker 2 (34:54):
So I think they weren't really no, they were like
these I mean they're older shorts for sure, because everything
I have is you know, is older. And so I
was with my son. My wife wanted to go to
the mall, and I had zero interest in going into
whatever crummy stores you wanted to go into because they
(35:15):
were going out of business. So him and I went
over to this like a jumper room with no where
they've got like these these pits, you know, those like
those places where they've got these pits of like foam
blocks that the kids can jump in. It just turned
into my son doing atomic leg drops off the edge
onto me and me going into convulsions, and I think
(35:36):
during the course of that there was a micro tear
in the back of my short to I was crow
When I was at the supermarket later on, I bent
down to grab something and hurt.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
It all the back.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
Oh yeah, and.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Everybody was looking like.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Okay, so so now I tried. I tried to play
it all. I used my hand to cover the back
and tried to make it seem like I was just
stretching my shoes older. And then right as I do that,
some guy in one of those motorized scooters goes, excuse me, sir,
can you help me out please? He was over by
the beer aisle, and he asked me to get him
eight Fosters paint cans a beer.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
And I'm trying to do it. Do you not see
the skip mark on my pants?
Speaker 2 (36:19):
I'm doing it, but I'm trying to cover my ass
while I'm getting him these paint cans of Fosters, and
tried to play it off, and dudes like we all.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
Got problems here, man, like somebody else is.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
It a motorized you know?
Speaker 1 (36:37):
And your pants were ripped?
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Yeah, like everybody's got something dealing with I don't have much.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
I'm pretty lucky, but man, I was tired as hell
Saturday for that show and everything.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
I was up late.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
Trying to find a private plane to get Rob Gronkowski's
ass to our sets.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
What happened?
Speaker 3 (36:56):
His flight got canceled on Friday out, so it is
almost midnight on.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
The East coast and you were trying to find it.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
I was like, this is my job, but I'll do it.
So I literally called everyone I could.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
I had like billionaires who were like okaying flights to
be able to take off. They couldn't find pilots who
want to leave that early. So fortunately we found one.
We found one, and Monk was able to come up
clutch and make the flight and it all worked out.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
But man, I was stressing.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
That was We promoted that for a week's time, and
I was was the last hope still recovering my billionaire friend.
