(01:27):
was double barrel action on Monday night football in the
bar by the way, I didn't know this, but lead
to Lap sent me over a clip that apparently Dan
Levatard and those guys were busting our balls. We're calling
a double barrel last night on Monday night football.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Every single time.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Hey, god forbid, I'm trying to sell Panthers Saints to
the public.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Okay, why are you saying our balls? Like, I don't
understand that yours?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Well, No, they were talking about the whole show because
it was apparent our lack of enthusday as for previewing
the Saints and Panthers, because, as Lebar pointed out, last hour,
Steelers Browns was the main event. I mean, Panther Saints
was just kind of like, uh, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Well I think you could tell too, I mean which
crew is on?

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Which was uh, which one were Troy and John? Oh yeah, yeah,
that's one of the better like robberies in the NFL.
Like there's just a lot of hatred there. I mean,
like LeVar was looking up big thirty three stats for
the state of Pennslovanias, No, I mean also to be
a fan of the Steelers, like no ties to the Steelers.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Like That's how I think we ventured into that conversation.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Yeah, I'll tell you what man like football in the Midwest.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
Like people.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
I guess I can count pas the Midwest.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
But people like I think people do like people say
West for Pittsburgh for some reason.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Yeah, no, I get that.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
I mean I think that the people are like Midwest
like people like when you talk to them, like their
manners and their mannerisms and all that. But no, I'm
not surprised there is some someone was critical of the
double barrel because that was something you came up with, Jonas,
and as we pointed out out the gate, that doesn't really.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Make any sense playing it, by the way, that'd be
ten dollars by the way too, because that was a
very passive, aggressive approach to what you said, we're trying
to instigate something there.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
I just got to find ten I gotta find ten
dollars for pointing out that somebody was critical of our.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
And we play back our own sound of our preview
of Fundy Night Football because double barrel never came out
of my mouth, not one time other than to repeat
what you said.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, pause, now listen. I just I look at these.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Thing.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I just I'm trying to get people excited for two
games on at the same time. If they would stagger it,
it wouldn't be called double barrel. Like if if they
would stagger the action, but instead they wanted to put
both games on at the same.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
Did they comprehend you saying it that way? You know what?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
You know what I'm sad about today? What's that football tonight? See?

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Instead of staggering them, just put it in prime time
on a Tuesday night.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
Baby, I'm watching.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
I'm watching.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
He made me choose and I didn't like. I didn't.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
It was like, I don't like this one versus this one,
like just make.

Speaker 5 (04:21):
Games in the beginning were awful. It was tough to
watch man just sloppy.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
I mean, I mean, as a defensive player, I like
the way, but that wasn't even good defense.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
It was like the ball was like even when they fumbled,
it'd be like the most miraculous fumble you've ever seen,
the ball be kicking around, bouncing around.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Which it was. It was.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
That's not like defensive football. That was just like sloppy.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
I thought the hit that made or was it the
tight end that hit it or somebody hit it out
of somebody it was about to be picked off.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
He hit it, the other guy catches it.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
It was just a real it was like real trick
shot type action that was going on. Like it wasn't
r normal type of stuff. Yeah, it was. I agree
with that. I can't be mad at that that that conclusion,
But I will say this, I like the fact that
Pittsburgh's defense scored on the first place. How big is
number fifty six for Alex Heighsmith?

Speaker 6 (05:16):
How big is he?

Speaker 4 (05:17):
He looked huge compared to t J.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Watt.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
After he did he look so much bigger the camera something.
He was closer to the camera. I was like, God, Le,
I'm sure he's looking us up right now.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Well, Lee, Lee actually did pulled the sound of our
previews six yesterday.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
Okay, he got.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Two hundred and forty two pounds. Oh that's not that big.
That's not big.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
No, it's not six four like a giant.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
You say six four.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Two, that's what this is saying.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Wat's supposed to be six four to two fifty two
oh well, didn't look that way.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Uh Lee, So you got this sound from yesterday as
previewing double barrel action on Monday night football. Let's hear
this double barrel breakdown, Double barrel action Monday night football.

Speaker 7 (06:02):
That's right, double barrel Yeah time football, Monday night.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Don't you that? Saints Panthers? How about that Stiller's brown brown? Yeah,
so it'll be that'll be a funny look at double barrel.
I mean, what's the problem. I mean, it was clearly
stated they didn't stagger the games. I got that correct.
So Levatard and those guys are wrong. I'm right there. Wrong,
screw them. Got it right, it's double bar What do

(06:29):
you pay attention to the Levatard least sent me the clip.
I didn't even know about it. Least send me the
clip for some reason.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I mean, clearly, people like commenting on what we comment about.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
You know, I like those guys though, they do good stuff.
I've been a fan of them for a while.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
So but that said, hey say goodbye anywhere.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
He's out just a matter of time now. Like those guys,
they offered me a job. Yeah, not true.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
You know, I'm loyal. You see my bad tattoos, loyalty.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
I'm all about it.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
So yeah, the unfortunate thing is you don't have a
bad Fox Sports Radio tattoo.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I'll get one. If you're buying, I'll get one.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Yeah, I'll buy your Fox Sports Radio test.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Should I get the should? Should I get the two pros?
And a cup of Joe logo? Somewhere on my body?

Speaker 6 (07:20):
You would?

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Would you would that? Commit? Make me fully committed?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Don't stay somewhere like be specific because.

Speaker 6 (07:27):
Somewhere on my body were my body? Hey?

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Man? Yeah, I don't know what do you want it?
I mean, I'll do whatever you guys wants. You just
tell me. I don't never mind, I don't right. Can
we move on the Bryce Young start to the season.
How are we feeling about this? Because it does feel
like Carolina is maybe further away from being a little
team than even I.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Can I say this?

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Man?

Speaker 5 (07:52):
If it feels like there is a cap on their offense,
like they just cannot push the ball down the field.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
And I know it's twofold.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
Like we saw how bad the on line protection was
in preseason, and that's clearly a concern. So now you're
trying to game plan around that and you're not gonna
be allowed to hold on the football unless he's you know,
scrambling around making plays. But I think there's a fear
because how small he is that you don't want to
subject him getting hit.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
And it's like, well, look at some point you.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
Have to lay in the bed that you made and
that's you took Bryce Young where you did. You can't
not take shots or take opportunities to stretch the field
vertically just because you're worried about him holding on the
football and getting hit. So like they've got protection issues.
You can even make the case they got some speed issues.
I know DJ Shark came back last night. He's one
of the faster ones, usual and healthy. It hasn't really

(08:43):
displayed itself, but it just feels like thirty yards an in,
like that's what they're working with, and no one feels
threatened by them making any plays deep down the field.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
And and then.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Today's NFL that's a problem, Like if you can't threaten
team down the field, you're gonna have a really really
hard time coming up with any offense.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
I'm just I'm just hoping.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I'm just hoping that they figure things out in a
way where whatever it is that Bryce Young is comfortable
doing that. They like, we talked about this yesterday on
this show. I believe it was yesterday where we were
talking about I don't know what the identity is. You're
trying to figure out what is the identity? I don't
even remember what it Wasn't this talking about? No, No,

(09:31):
I know it wasn't this thing, but but.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
We were talking about it was Penn State.

Speaker 6 (09:36):
It wasn't Penn State. I forget who Q was. It
was the charge? Was it the chargers?

Speaker 4 (09:40):
It was the chargers?

Speaker 6 (09:41):
Okay, so so I kind of feel like that wasn't me.
Somebody else said.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
No, you said, you said chargers.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah, I repeated it after who was said I still
want to give Jonah scrat Lea.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
Said, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
I think that we got to figure out or they
have to figure out what Bryce is really in game
comfortable with even really in practice, What are you comfortable with?
Like what do you feel like you can do best?
And I think they got to run with that and
they got to ride with it. Like I just feel
like right now I look at them and I just

(10:24):
feel like it's just not in sync. It doesn't look
like he's comfortable with the way he's being used.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
Now.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I don't know if that's something else, but I would
say it's because you need to give him plays he's
comfortable with, or give him terminology that he's comfortable with,
Like I don't I don't really know what it is,
but you got to establish like what he like, identity wise,
what he can comfortably get into, Like is it handing

(10:53):
the ball off, is it flare passes?

Speaker 7 (10:56):
Is it pushing that downfield? I hope he's comfortablehead of
the football off right. Signed me up, buddy, I'll come
out of ressigrement for Yeah. Here, I'll give you the
best handoffs you've ever seen. And that might be what
they need to do.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah, I just think they got to establish it doesn't
look like that's established in Carolina yet. Like their defense
looks really, really good, and that kind of makes it
hard because you have defense that can win games for
you and your offense isn't quite up to up the par.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Just I just I hope he gets through the season.
It doesn't take too much of a beating, like because
he is small, Like you watch a little dude, and
like there was a point at late in that game
where he tried to get away from Tomrio Davis and
there was just no shot and it just I just
hope he gets through the year and he's not taking
too much of a pounding to where it's going to
affect him the rest of his career, like you know,

(11:51):
and c. J. Stroud kind of feels like he's maybe
in the same spot as well too in Houston.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Like both those teams, he's in a bad situation. But
you knew that was going to be more of a struggle.
I thought that Carolina would be a little bit further ahead,
like a little bit better.

Speaker 5 (12:07):
But I thought they'd be better running the football because
they finished so well last year running the ball, playing
good defense, and it hasn't really been the case so
far this year. You know, even with the addition of
Miles Sanders, we also tend to forget. Look, Miles Sanders
is new to this roster. Adam Feelen's new to this roster.
Jonathan Mingo is a rookie pick as well. Chark was

(12:29):
there last year or is he knew as well?

Speaker 6 (12:32):
I think Chark was there last year.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah, I think he was.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Yeah, I think he was as well.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
No, he was in Detroit last year. He was Detroit.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
So like if you really look at if you look
at the nucleus.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Like what they have around them. I mean, you guys
tell me like that's it's like.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
Out of the gate.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
People expecting this to work like that with a rookie quarterback.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
I was just caution. People will give it time.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
You know from all accounts, you know, from watching Bryce
Young high school to college callege, NFL.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
He'll figure it out.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
Like if there's one person you get bet on to
figure it out, he will, and I think they collectively will.
But they have to figure out a way of stretching
the field vertically. They do not have that right now
as part of their offense, and I think it's hurting
them in a big way.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Frank Reich, the head coach who's the guy in charge
of seeing whether or not we can get the most
out of Bryce Young this season, spoke about his quarterback
following last night's loss.

Speaker 8 (13:24):
I thought Bryce did some really positive things. Made made
some players with his feet, made some good decisions, made
good throws, showed plenty of things that we want to see.
So it was encouraged by that. I know how hard
it is to play that position. I've been around in
a long time, and I know how dependent it is
on everything. So we all got to get better. Everybody's

(13:44):
got a better coaches and players. So that's that's the
way we work through it.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
So there it is, Frank Wright talking about his young quarterback.
And now the Carolina Panthers do have They go to
Seattle next, They've got the Vikings after that, and then
they're at Detroit and at Miami. So not exactly the
easiest start to a career. A couple of those road
games are tough spots. Miami looks like one of the
better teams in the league. Seattle is always tough to play,
so uh not a not an enjoyable start thus far

(14:11):
for Bryce Young. I mean, I look, I thought he
was going to be Rookie of the Year. I thought
there was real value in it and.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Would he not be?

Speaker 5 (14:18):
Well, there were two games in the season j b
Jon Robinson, Bijon Robinson, he was the betting favorite one. Yeah,
and by the way, we're two games into the season, like,
can we pump the brakes on this?

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Well, yeah, but this is what we do. This is
fun and zero two this is what you did. Yeah,
we did it, We did it.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Yesterday.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Okay, let's continue this conversation. Then the New Orleans Saints
are now two, and oh we buying them or no,
you guys believers.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
I'm buying them because of the division.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
They play fire too.

Speaker 5 (14:46):
I'm buying them because of the defense or the defense,
and then the division they plan. If they were in
another division, I probably wouldn't be buying them.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
I'm not buying them outside of the division because I
don't think their offense is good enough. But I mean
I said that Dallas isn't going to be good enough.
And right now, you know, are we buying Dallas after
week two? Yeah, y'all were already buying them anyway.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
We had them before the season. We were saying, y'all
were already by we arrived early to the party.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
How about them cowboys.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
I'm on the fence. I'm on the fender right then,
this defense at all I was. I was out on
on Dallas.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
But this is like you last year there with the Chiefs,
like I'll be honest and took that stance and then
you're like.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Nope, I'm just gonna stay here.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
I don't care. I don't care.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
It's like all right, man, it's it's LeVar and Trrrington.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
I'm looking at Colorado and the Cowboys as the same.

Speaker 6 (15:40):
I'm just waiting for this fall off to take place.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
So wow, all right, shots fired, coach front.

Speaker 6 (15:48):
I don't do that.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
I don't even do that. It's not a shot fire.
It's not a shot fired. You're just not making it personal.
Did you just make it personal?

Speaker 6 (15:58):
I just I'm surious that when it's going to fall off.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
By the way, how about the fact that people are
dusting off Dan Lanning's comments from July and trying to
put this in and groove it into the preview of
Colorado persons. He had these comments about what has Colorado
done when asked about the move to another conference, and
now they're bringing this back to try and build up
the hype for this weekend against against Oregon and Colorado. Listen,

(16:27):
Orgon's going to win that game. Like all of this,
it feels like everything is being forced down our throats
when it comes to Colorado and hyping up and building up,
and they want trash talk and sunglasses and all that.
Can't we just let this play out? They're probably going
to lose their next two. But it was a three
and oh start to the season and they're ranked in
the top twenty five.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
It's been a success so far.

Speaker 6 (16:47):
It's a success either way.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Yes, well, okay, but if they lose the next to
LeVar is is that what you're looking for?

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Is that what you're saying.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
I'm not looking for anything.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Do you want Den Sanders fired if they lose an
next two?

Speaker 4 (17:00):
See, that's that's what that's trying to know.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
That's him. That's not me. I'm just trying to clarify
what you said, because you're saying.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
What I'm saying is I'm waiting because I've mean, that's
what I'm anticipating is that they're not gonna win very
many more games. I'm I'm I'm happy at what's going
on with with Colorado, but at some point it's like
it's still this is college football.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
It's big time college football.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
They're going to play some big time teams, and I'm like,
I'm anticipating that the feel good story is going to
come to an end. I mean, and I mean come
to an end, like I mean, like whoa, they are
getting throttled type type stuff, But I mean it's still
a win. It's still a win. They got three wins.
That's that's two more wins than what they got last year.

(17:51):
They're relevant, They're they're the hottest team literally in terms
of popularity in college football right now. They're the most covered,
you know team and the most you know, I guess watched. So,
I mean, there's a lot of wins in there. But
and that's like Dallas. There's a lot of wins for
Dallas right now.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
I think I think waiting.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
For the fall off.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Brady, what do you think the Fox Sports radio headline
would be of Levar's take? Just now?

Speaker 5 (18:16):
Oh, they'll clip off what you all just said and
explaining yourself that will not be part of it, LaVar.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Well, they'll take the clips that you saying shots fired
at PROWN, Yeah, exact.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
They'll take jonas well. Are they going to call for
Dion's job if he losing? Levard? Like, that's what's going
to happen here.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
You know what, though, I'll give you credit because there's
so many people who are so afraid to admit what
you just did. And that's just truth, right, Your shooting
doesn't hip. I'm just doing my job, that's all I
hear you. That's the problem is there's so many people
that watch. Like last week Colorado CSU is the most
watched college football game. It was on at ten pm Eastern,
So just real quick shot fired at the West coast.

(18:57):
Just going back to the comment about the early kick.
Guess what, like people on the East Coast are still
awake watching at ten pm.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
That's how much they care about college football.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
They'll get up for the noon games, they'll watch all
of that, they'll tailgate for a lot, they'll go to them,
they'll come back, they'll watch all.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
The games even later in the night. All right, So
that's the difference.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
But there is so much intrigue about Dion and Colorado
is all of it that it was the highest rated
game last weekend. Now, I know we didn't have a
ton of you know, big matchups which create bigger ratings,
usually trying between blue bloods, but the curiosity and even
this week this will be a huge rated game between

(19:37):
Colorado and Oregon because this is now that team that
I think if you're asking people honestly, Colorado is a
twenty one point underdog on the road. They don't have
their best player in Travis Hunter. No one is giving
them a shot at keeping this close. But no one
wants to say that because they're afraid of being put
on as a board.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
But here, yeah you could to get canceled.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
Yeah, but like I mean, come on, but to your credit, LeVar,
you're being honest about your assessment and all this. Now
I would say you take called out on the twenty
one points.

Speaker 6 (20:08):
That's just me.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
But like your assessment is honest and it's and you're
not afraid to say a lot of people are afraid
because they feel like they'll receive backlash from you know,
whoever it is that is rooting for Dion and all that.
But there's also I think a fair amount of people
who do want to see if this ever comes back
down to earth.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
And the thing is, I'm not rooting against them. I'm
just saying what I think is going to happen. Like
just like I'm not rooting against the.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Difference that take the under in Iowa Penn State, right,
Like take the under its lower scoring game.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Maybe, I mean our defense showed up in Illinois, Illinois, Illinois, Illinois.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Yeah, but your offensive line struggling against the.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
They a little bit, A little bit, I got I got,
I got.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
A bone to pick with the offensive scheme. Man, You
all need to have some more pre snap creativity and stuff.
There's not enough going on. I don't I don't think
you guys doing it. You're had any you know, service
to help out your running backs and hope it some
things up.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
It's Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you here. So coming up, we are going to discuss
a team in the NFL who's off to a slow
start and it could involve a nether loss. This upcoming weekend,
we'll tell you who that is right here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Comeing
up a little over fifteen minutes from now from the
tire rack dot Com studios, we are going to have
another edition of would you Rather some hard hitting questions
and decisions. We're gonna have to make here live on
the air, sports, non sports, you name it, that's yours
here coming up a little over fifteen minutes from now.

(21:53):
Let's talk about one team in the NFL who's got
this thing they like to do where they start off
the season zero to two. Then that's the Cincinnati Bengals,
who find themselves in that spot yet again, as they
are zero and two to start off this year, much
like they were last year. Last year they went on,
made the playoffs, made a deep run, went to the
AFC title Game. We all know that their mayors shot

(22:14):
his mouth off in Cincinnati and Travis Kelsey let him
hear about it afterwards, but still survived to know and
two start and we're a deep run, playoff team with
an opportunity to go to a Super Bowl this year.
They're owing too, but their quarterback is dealing with the
reaggravation of a calf issue that popped up in training camp,
and Zach Taylor, the head coach of the Bengals, discussed

(22:35):
at what it could look like in the future and
could Joe Burrow miss any time when it comes to
the calf.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
That is our world where you would consider sitting Joe
down for a week or two just to try to
get him all the way back to one hundred percent
for the duration of the season.

Speaker 8 (22:51):
I think first of all, we got to hear what
the doctors have to say before we start to assume anything.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
So once we get that information, we have those figure
out what we're gonna do.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Is available for Monday?

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Who's up the years?

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Yeah, it's hard for me to say right now. So
they've got the Rams this upcoming Monday, and if Joe
Burrow's not in the lineup, they're going to lose that game.
And if they lose that game, they're gonna be oh
to three. And that's a rap on the twenty twenty
three season for the Cincinnati Bengals. And that's that's just
gonna be what that is a rap.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
You don't think there's any way they could come back
from that.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
No, at Owen three. No, Baltimore is not going anywhere.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
And I mean Cleveland didn't look great last night.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Yeah, but I look at the AFC and I got.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Like, Pittsburgh's like a light in the world on fire.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
What do you mean they got their offensive coordinator?

Speaker 5 (23:42):
You look at the AFC West, who's dominating outside of
Kansas City it's a one to one football team.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Well, I think the Chargers are going to be the
O and two team that make the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Yeah, you've been high on them, but again they're in
a must win game this week. Who do they play?
It's two to two teams?

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Yeah, Chargers? Guy, who are they playing this week? Are they?

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Now?

Speaker 2 (24:00):
The Raiders have the Steelers and you hear the Chargers
got this week again?

Speaker 4 (24:04):
Minnesota?

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Yeah, Minnesota. Oh yeah, that's that's a bier.

Speaker 6 (24:07):
Minnesota is in a win in Minnesota's as win.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
So yeah, I just think Cincinnati and the I think
doctor David Chow was saying on Twitter that he thinks
this calf issue with Burrow is going to linger into
you know, in middle of October.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
Well, they've got a veteran backup there, don't they.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Who is it?

Speaker 5 (24:26):
Jake brownings Thorn would pass a tep now he's yeah,
he's smart enough he can execute it. It's just, you know,
right now, this is supposed to be the best offensive
line Joe Burrow's played behind, and they need it to
be if he's going to try to play through this injury.
Because you could tell I said this week one, he
doesn't look as mobile doesn't look as comfortable moving around,
and that's a problem. Obviously, he's had a tendency to

(24:48):
hold on the football. He's got the knack of being
able to buy time and use his legs and and
create plays off of that. And if he doesn't have that,
it becomes a much more conventional offense, which is you know,
an NFL standards easier to stop. So look, it's an
uphill battle because of how the season has got kicked off.
You know, all the data we have on the whole

(25:09):
eleven and a half percent, if you want to want
me to be honest, it doesn't apply to the playoffs
since we've had seven teams on each side make it in.
So that dates back to like the nineties where we're
only had six on each side, so a little more
wiggle room I think here to get a team in.

(25:29):
I will say this, they were my Super Bowl pick,
so it's going to look really, really bad if they
get off to an zero to three start for me
to think that they've got what a six percent chance
or whatever it is from there to make it into
the playoffs and make.

Speaker 4 (25:42):
A run in a Super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (25:43):
But I don't know.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
I don't feel like there's too many teams right now,
at least in the AFC that are dominating outside of
San fran, outside of Philly, outside of Dallas.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Who would you say has been really dominant for me?
Miami is the other one.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
That I I want to say yes, but then I
kind of go, I don't know though. It's almost like
you're waiting for for that, You're waiting for that that
to fall off.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Oh, come on, you live in South Florida. You're gonna
be dissing, I know.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
And that's the thing is, I don't want that to
be the case.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
I was just talking yesterday with some folks about how
awesome this year has been for for really Miami sports,
Like when you started off, you know with the Final
four and messy and everything.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
I mean, it's been a ton of the heat.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
We're in the finals, you know, looking at how the
Dolphins have got off to a good start this year,
so the Marlins are in the playoff hunt, Like, it
has been an incredible.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
Year for South Florida sports.

Speaker 5 (26:40):
I should say Southeast Florida, not to include Tampa, but
even Tampa's off to a good start at two and zero.
So it's just it's been a lot of fun. I
just there's there's always there's, there's reservations. And we talked
about Tampa yesterday, and you could make the kiss same
case about Miami, Like they're one injury away from Tua
to where this offense doesn't look the same.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
And the Angles find themselves in that spot to where
their quarterback's injured and their offenseing it to look the same,
and they're going to lose to the Rams if they
don't have Joe Burrow on Monday Night football. Because the
Rams say whatever you want about them, they're scrappy, Yeah
they are. They play hard, and so I look at
that and I go Stafford goes on the road. You know,
he had a couple of interceptions, but he hasn't played

(27:21):
all that bad. He lit up Seattle the first week.
They go on the road, and you're going to get
a Joe Burrow less Bengals and we're going to be
starting zero to three to kick off your season. So
a lot of team with some playoff hopes and Super
Bowl hopes, and it just feels like, I don't know,
the Burrow stuff just feels like it's going to linger
on a little bit longer. Maybe maybe similar to the

(27:42):
Josh Allen injury suffered last year. That seemed like it
just lingered on and continued on. So it is two
pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.
By the way, I found it rich that Brady Quinn
lumped Messy coming to Miami's MLS team is part of
the success of Florida Sports this year.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
How has that not been a success?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Dude? The guy walked into a Publix and somebody asked
him to bag their groceries. Nobody knows who he is.
MESSI stinks he shouldn't be lumped into anything successful going on.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
You know, I get why people hate them.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
Space there, space, Yeah, I.

Speaker 5 (28:16):
Get why people have so much hatred towards you. You
really do stoke the flames of hatred. I mean, it's
almost like you took a cheap shot online. MESSI there,
listen trying.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
I'm tired of it, tired of you hyping up South
Florida Sports.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
Up with it. You're like, you're following on social media
is what you are?

Speaker 2 (28:33):
I don't have one.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
You do gave MESSI ilacerated liver or something?

Speaker 6 (28:40):
You know.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
Oh geez. By the way, we are brought to you
by Discovering. At the end of your first year, Discover
credit cards automatically double all the cash back you've earned.
That's right, everything you've earned doubled. Seriously see terms and
check it out for yourself at discover dot com. Forward
slash match. By the way, how about the death threats
to uh Henry Blackburn for the chief too on Travis
Hunt her.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
That's both horrible.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Well, that's fun. That's deserved death threats because he he
lit up Travis Hunter and knocked him out for a
few weeks there for the you know what the jury was, Yeah, lacerated?
Was it deliver or yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Like what I just said, And so he's a transition.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
So three weeks I heard about that, Mike, Yeah, I
heard it.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
I was getting the Discover spot in. I wanted to
give a shout out to Discover. I know what you
were doing, all right, I'm a radio professional here. Oh wow,
I got it. But Heisman Trophy chances are are out
the window. For Travis Hunter, I don't know they were
much was still there, but after that.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
There was still some time they were there.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
I think because of what he was attempting to do,
which is so unique. All the snaps he's playing, which
did come down after Week one. You know, he hadn't
been playing quite as much. He I said this at
the beginning, Doris Sanders is the one that's going to
continue to get the shine because of the stats will
be able to put up and at the most important position,

(30:07):
and the way he's you know, being able to kind
of direct this team and especially this past week, a
ninety eight yard two minute drive right like, those things
create Heisman moments for Travis Hunter. Like they almost would
not have to have as much success as a team,
which would then allow him to create have a little

(30:27):
more shine because of being a two way player and
his impact and all doing that, it would almost kind
of stand out as opposed to you know, shadoric quarterback.
Maybe that's the tough thing when you've got two Heisman
candidates on the same rosters. They're gonna split votes and
you almost have to have it go a certain way
for each one to have their chance of winning.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
But it's tough.

Speaker 5 (30:48):
He's he's one of the best players for Colorado, if
not the best. He changes how they do things schematically,
and to not have them during arguably the most difficult
stretch of your seasons is awful. And look what Henry
Blackburn did was no doubt considered an illegal hit, dirty,
whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
It doesn't warrant death threats.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
I mean, Travis Hunter even said that as well in
commenting about that, that it's it's football like stuff like
that happens out there on the field. I hope some
people can get their sanity back and stop being crazy
about all the stuff.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
People death threat over way less just weirdos out here.

Speaker 6 (31:28):
Man.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Just take a look in the mirror this morning. If
you're one of the people who did it, just look
at the mirror and say you're a weirdo, because that's
what you are. You're a weirdo.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Very good point two pros and a cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Radio, by the way, lead to
lap Is wearing a sweater that says you're a weirdo
on the front on.

Speaker 6 (31:50):
The fire Yeah, does it really say that?

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (31:53):
Send a picture?

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Can you post that on Twitter?

Speaker 6 (31:57):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Just send that out all right? So coming up, we
are going to have another edition of would you Rather?
We've got some tough decisions to make in the world
of sports and beyond, and it's yours here on FSR, be.

Speaker 3 (32:08):

Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and Jonas
Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.

couldn't be more excited to announce a podcast called Up

Speaker 6 (32:27):
What is Up on Game?

Speaker 1 (32:28):
You asked, along with my fellow pro bowler TJ. Huschman
Zada and Super Bowl champion Yup, that's right, Plexico Burds.
You can only name a show with that type of
talent on it.

Speaker 6 (32:40):
Up on Game.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
We're going to be sharing our real life experiences loaded
with teachable moments. Listen to Up on Game with Me
LeVar Arrington, TJ. Hutschman, Zada, and Plexico Birds on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
From oh Man Little Alison Chains. So I'm talking about
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. You know what that calls for a little
bit of lotion on the hands, So that calls lotion up.
A little soft ass hands, a little soft boy.

Speaker 6 (33:22):
A little soft ass boy.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
All right, So coming up a little over ten minutes
from now here, we are going to talk about, you know,
one coach in the NFL who was not in the
mood to hear from the media following the game last night,
and about one's talking point and storyline that has popped
up that we've talked about on this show before. So
you'll hear that that sound coming up here again a
little over ten minutes from now before we get to

(33:47):
another edition of Would you rather? Though, want to let
you know we are brought to you by Progressive Insurance.
Progressive makes bundling easy and affordable. Get a multi policy
discount by combining your motorcycle, RB, boat, ATV and more,
all your protection in one place, fundle and save it Progress.
Let's make.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Would you rather your random topics, sports or otherwise?

Speaker 9 (34:11):
All right, lead to lab What do we got, guys?
What have wanted to ask for a while? Would you
rather see an annual rivalry game between Penn State, Notre
Dame or Penn State and pitt.

Speaker 4 (34:20):
Oh that's a tough one.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
I would say Notre Dame, but I'm biased, like I
know that would be huge in the state of Pennsylvania.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Yeah, I would probably say Notre Dame because I think
it's a bigger game, like we we be souning pit,
like Pitt sunned us for a little bit, like with
Marino and all of them in Dorset and all of them.
But these days, I mean for the last like long
long long time, you know, recent years, we sun pit.

Speaker 6 (34:50):
So I'd rather us play against Notre Dame.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
I think it had I think it had more historical
like implications connected to it.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
Sure, yeah, I agree with that.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
I mean, look, I'll be open.

Speaker 5 (35:04):
I don't like the scheduling of Notre Dame since they've
had this partially agreement with the ACC because it's cut
out the opportunity to play Michigan, Michigan State, produe Penn
State if they want, like all those big ten schools
that regionally are close, you're competing against and recruiting and
everything else. But it's just a more similar brand and
style of football. And so that's that's something that obviously

(35:27):
I have zero control over, but I do miss like
I think back fondly to those rivalries, those matchups, they
were much more difficult than looking at the schedule for
Notre Dame. Now, with the exception of maybe you know
three four games a year.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
But when's the last time they played? Was it two
thousand and seven? I'm seeing I think that's the last round.

Speaker 5 (35:45):
Played my senior year that I think they played in
Happy Valley after I was gone.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, I never played against Notre Dame. I would have
loved it. I would love to have that opportunity didn't happen.

Speaker 9 (35:57):
Guys, would you rather have chap lips that never heal
or terrible dandriff that you can't treat terrible dandriff?

Speaker 5 (36:03):
I hate chap lips the worst thing in the world.
I always deal with it, especially going out to border
every week. How dry it is out there. It's like
every single time. Man, it's it's awful.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
You know what The problem is?

Speaker 6 (36:14):
Both look very gross.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Yeah they're both nasty. But you can wear a hat
and just cover that out. But the problem with just
shave your head. If you start using lip bomb, your
lips have to have it constantly, and then when you
go a day without it, then you got problems. Especially
if you deal with weather. Like you pointed out, it's
just going to be an issue. I'd rather wear a
hat and cover up dan drift than I have to

(36:36):
deal with you know, my mouth looking like it exploded, right.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
But then once you expose your head from taking off
the hat, all all, you know, all deals are off
like they're going to be like what the WTF?

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Well, go to Colorado. They keep their hat on all
the time, you know, even when they're talking to people, sunglasses, hat, everything.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
I'm gonna go chap lips and just walk aroun around
with a big jug.

Speaker 6 (37:01):
Of basiline.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Lips.

Speaker 6 (37:05):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with chapped lips.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Kind of walk around with vasselin anyway, don't you a pause?

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Well done? Well done?

Speaker 4 (37:18):
Guys.

Speaker 9 (37:19):
Would you rather be friends with a rich person who
hates dogs or a poor person who loves dogs?

Speaker 6 (37:25):
Rich person?

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Well, Brady's rich and hates dogs.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
So I have a dog there, literally, he has a dog. Man.

Speaker 5 (37:33):
Yeah, you don't have a dog, Jonas, Geez, I have
a dog too, So wow, we do, Jonas.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
He's dead. What do you want from me? Yeah, I'm loyal,
real dog lover there, I'm loyal, loyal. He's not a
pair of shoes, he's not a pair of flip flops.
I can just toss in the garbage and then go
out and get him a pair loyalty, I've had a
few dogs.

Speaker 9 (38:07):
What else, Guys, would you rather I've got a bone
to pick with you or I've got beef with you?
Say again, would you rather have someone say to you,
I've got a bone to pick with you, or I've
got to I've.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Got I'm I'm taking off on you if you say
you got beef with me, so tell me, tell me
we got got a bone to pick.

Speaker 4 (38:27):
Bone depict sounds like a teacher saying it

Speaker 6 (38:29):
To you, beef like I'm, i'm we gotta fight
