barrel action on Monday Night football. That's right, and apparently
there are several people who are not happy with that terminology.
We'll get into all that for you here. We are
going to look at the games closely, including the major
injury for the Cleveland Browns and is Deshaun Watson performing

(00:23):
up to his two hundred and thirty million dollars guaranteed contract.
The Steelers get a big win, but there's still a
problem in Pittsburgh Bryce Young's performance early in the season.
Derek Carr struggles early in the season as well too.
Plus we're gonna have another edition of in case you
missed it. We've got some concerns in Denver and Cincinnati
at the quarterback spot. And we've got you in and

(00:43):
you out. It's all yours coming up next here, Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe on a Tuesday, Fox

about it? Double barrel action on Monday night football last night? Huh?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
There's a lot of people who wish they could use
that double barrel themselves.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Oh geez, well, I'm just saying some sloppy football, well
sot off talk here on a Tuesday morning coin.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
It was some sloppy fooks. Was a lot of people
who were in pain watching that last night.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, but it was kind of entertaining.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I didn't like I didn't like that they were at
the same time. I didn't like. I thought you said
yesterday you did like that. I like, I did not
know that they were airing pretty much at the same time.
You know, I didn't like it. I'm gonna tell you,
I didn't like it because I could clearly feel more
energy from one of the games than I did from
the others of it. I mean, it's not because I'm

(02:30):
from there, it's just because it was just it felt different,
like the energy of the telecast, the quality of it.
It just did. It was different. It just felt different now.
And it was like I kept switching back and forth
for a long time, and then it got to the
point where it's like, man, this is dull, Like this

(02:50):
is boring, this one isn't. This is the cool class,
this one isn't. This is the house you want to visit.
That one isn't. And it was just kind of like,
all right, well, I've been left to decide. And so
I did.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I mean, based on how that first quarter went in
Cleveland Pittsburgh, I was.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Just I stayed there. I was like, this game's drunk.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
I haven't seen many games with turnovers like just crazy
plays first and Nick Chubb injury.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Man, so sad prayers and blessings with you know, out
to him. It was. That's about as gruesome as it gets.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I didn't even see the the full injury. I just
saw the hit on the knee. For me, I saw
the way it would it started to bend, and then
I just clicked off. Yeah, yeah, I don't need to
see that.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
You know.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
The sad thing is he tore that exact same bee
in college, I mean LCL, MCL, PCL dislocated knee.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I didn't realize it was that bad until I saw.
I think it was schefter It listed the details of
that injury. I didn't realize it was that bad back
in twenty fifteen.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
This one might be worse than that one. Yeah, this one,
this one could he could be done. Yeah, he might be.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
That's so man, I I can't imagine there's anything left.
Like the how his leg bent and the way it looked,
and he.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Tried to get up at first, and then he was
like oh new new and went right back down. You know,
I was gonna say too.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
At the beginning of that game watching him, I kept
thinking to myself, is he the best running back in
the league? I mean, people people wanted to give credit
to like Derrick Henry, But they're both right there.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Saying the type of they're the same type of back.
You know, they just wear you down. He's so powerful
and he's so strong, and he sees he sees the holes,
you know, where you can run to so well, you
anticipate so well. He makes it look easy, like he
doesn't give you splash plays. But when you watch him,

(04:50):
he's not flash You're not going to be like, oh
my gosh, look look it's you're going to be like,
he's got he got six yards, he got five yard.
I see him hit.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
People sometimes from like oh god, you know, like that
kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, but like I get that, but he's not He's
not a flashy dude. He's not like a shaking bank. Yeah.
He's more like and that's what people look for, you know,
that's what you look for. I look for, big old back. Like,
I don't know, people don't talk about side there, you know,
give me something. They don't talk about him like that,

(05:26):
though they like they should. It's like the point you're making,
you're making the point. Now you're debating the point that
you made. I don't know. I don't know why they
don't talk about him like it's not the way they
make that's my opinion. It's like, why isn't he the best?
But why isn't he like considered the best back in
the league, Like because he makes getting yards look easy

(05:48):
and it's like it's like, oh wait, he's like a
power back. But it's like he's almost what he said,
it's five point four a player or something like that.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
He's averaging his entire career. Crazy, this average over five
yards his entire career.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
It's kind of crazy. He's been it's said super set too.
He's just super.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Said, been the best player on that offense for a
number of years now. Because there's Deshaun Watson's just not
the same player he was. He just doesn't look like
the same guy he was in Houston early on, and
I know that there was a conversation about is he
ever going to live up to the two hundred and
thirty million dollars guaranteed? If the Browns have got to
be looking at this going, man, we gave up a

(06:28):
lot for this, and now we're out Nick Chubb for
a significant amount of time, maybe for good, and now
we've got to rely on Deshaun Watson to try and
pick up the slack and he just doesn't look like
the same quarterback he was years ago. It's weird.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
He just had you well.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
I was to say, it's only two games in. There's
a lot of football left to be played. I was
gonna ask you guys, like, how many games do you
need to see from Deshaun and Cleveland. I mean, the
truth is in Houston, you know, he at times was
prolific and everyone talked.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
About, you know, he's a I mean, I'll boll it
this way.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
The people within the Browns organization that are a part
of making that decision.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
It was the top five quarterback, top five quarterback. I'm like, really, like,
is he not anymore? Well, no, I wouldn't have.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Said then like like he really ever you convinced yourself
into top five quarterback and that's your pitch or your
line if you thought he's a top five quarterback. I
mean you could literally rattle off probably, I don't know
five right now pretty darn quick. I mean Mahomes, Alan Burrow, Jackson,
I could probably see Rogers when he's healthy, Like there's

(07:34):
your five, Like he ain't in that. So I just
the whole idea of what they paid him, how it
went down, how he's been since he's gotten there. It
lends you to think, Okay, like how long is this
this leash on him? And I think it's I think
it's pretty damn long. I think it's all this year.

(07:56):
I think it's probably the next.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Two hundred and fifty some million in length long.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I think, yeah, it's the next it's the next two
years for sure, and then we'll see.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
But yeah, he looks like a shell of himself.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
I mean it's hard to watch the times and the
personal vowls like he's getting called on him. How sloppy
is with the football. I mean it's almost like that thing.
It was like all looped up the way it was.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
What let's hear let's hear from Massage. I mean, Deshaun
Watson last night's game talking about what he can do better.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
I gotta protect the ball. We're not gonna put it
on anyone else.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
You put it on me.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
I can take the full blame. I can take the
criticism and I'm going to do that. And I told
everyone in the offense, the whole team, I'm gonna do
better for this team, for this organization. So we can
win games like that, and I'm fine with taking the
criticism and I will be better.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Hey, how about that little accountability from him. It's nice
for a change, you know, it's good. Good to hear
from the guy. That is true. That is true. Now,
I feel like Brady Quinn is largely responsible for the
chance last night for fire Matt Canada. Uh from the

(09:17):
crowd there in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
What chance you're talking about?

Speaker 1 (09:20):
You know, the people, you know Channing, let's you know
they wanted Matt Canada fired.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
I have no idea what you're talking. Do we have
that like sound or anything.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
I don't help us out here.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I mean it just, I mean, it was there a
chance that maybe someone said, our producers sound last night.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I mean, listen it just you know we're you know
we are, we are putting that together. We just wanted
to make sure that it sounded putting extra.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
I thought for a second, like, you know, maybe you
know we would have it like coming into the show.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
It's just let's let's take a listen to the the
crowd at Acupuncture Stadium, whatever the hell they're calling it now,
chanting for the firing of an offensive coordinator that Brady
Quinn has been calling for for a couple of years now.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
They tried to drown it out there, trying to help
us the boy out. They're like, hey, let's turn up
the music here, right.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
It appears like that this has starting to gain some momentum.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
I mean, how y'all feel about picket after last night?
I mean, are we putting it on Canada? Or we
we picket it's Canada? Man? Like when he drops back,
I mean there's two issues.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
One you knew with the pressure you were going to
deal with given the Cleveland Browns pass rush, and I
didn't feel like they had a great game plan for that,
Like how they went about trying to, you know, mix
up some of the protections from the place and the screens.
Like it's just there's no feel to it. It feels
like he's just spinning through a roller dex. Remember those

(11:04):
things like back in the day, Yeah, going all the
knaves and all your contacts and.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
You can't never find the one you want to find
when you're using those things. That was like Matt Cameron
trying to find the right playlist. This hell is that contact? Man?
I just saw it the other day then you can't
find this. What the hell is that good play that
is going to help us get to touch it? Oh?
The one, the one that George Pickens across the middle final.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Oh No, it's just it feels like there's there's never
like it doesn't build off of one another. I've said
this before, but you know, you go into a game,
you have your scripted first fifteen all right, so people
out there who don't know you have fifteen plays you're
gonna run to start off a game.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
And why you do that is A you feel like,
you know practice those B.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
You know, so you should be executing at a higher
level right out the gate. B.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
You're gonna show them formations.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
You're gonna show them personnel groupings, right the type of
you know, positions that are coming out there. You're trying
to test them with you. You're trying to confirm what
you've seen on tape. Right, Like they might play a
certain coverage to this formation, and we want them to
play that coverage because we know how we're gonna get
guys open. You know, they might play a certain you know,

(12:13):
they might bring a certain blitz versus this personnel in
this formation, and we want them to do that because
we've got this screen called in or we've got a
blitz feed off this. So those first fifteen you're taking
down information and then what you do with that information,
then you make adjustments moving forward.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
You don't see any of that.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
It just it feels like he's rolling through a rollodex
picking different plays, like nothing builds off of each other.
Like how many times do you see something in the
first quarter, first half that you see them come back
to and have a wrinkle or a double move on
something or tweak a little bit and you're like, oh, yeah,
I remember I saw the first out they did that,
Like you don't see it. It's just it feels like

(12:53):
they're just out there calling plays. And that's, you know,
to me, what's been frustrating as a quarterback watching it,
because you're saying, this guy's gonna have a hard time
succeeding if you've got a play caller who doesn't understand
how to actually, you know, call plays.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
In the NFL.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
So look, I'm never one to call for another man's job,
bibe about families and stuff and all that, but they
got a problem call and place like I'm not the
only one to see it. Clearly the entire fan base,
and you could see flashes of like picket scrambling making
something happen, or you know, picket finding pickets, who's wide open,

(13:30):
who then takes the ballroom runs past everyone in the
field for a touchdown? You go there, it is, But
that's more speaks to the talent of those two players
than it does the actual play call.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
So what's the fix because if Tomlin got to get
a new host c Yeah, but it's two weeks in,
so like if you were going to make that movie
you would have done.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
That's a horror one. Now that's a horror. I don't
have the answer for that. You don't bring in a
new guy now, I mean, I don't know. I mean,
do you think it's too late?

Speaker 1 (14:00):
It's two weeks in?

Speaker 2 (14:01):
What you think? You No?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
The hard thing is is you got to I mean
Tomlins obviously extremely loyal to the group of coaches that
he's got.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
You know, and he's not going to disrupt things like that.
He wouldn't disrupt it. If he would, if he were to,
he would have done it before. Now.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Yeah, I mean, I look at their coaching staff and
the quarterback coach, Mike Sullivan, has been in the NFL
a long time, and he's someone who you know, could
call plays.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
I'm sure if they wanted to.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Now, I just don't know how big of a difference
you can make in season like that. It's hard to
make wholesale changes and change up a bunch of stuff.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
So that's difficult, especially with a young QB like I
could see if he had been around the league for
a while or whatever, but he he's what.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Second year yeah, second yearly to your point, a young offense, right,
and young offense.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Yeah, it's some young pieces on that team.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Okay, So what if we get down later in the
season and the Steelers are seven and eight and Mike
Tomlin's got his five hundred or better record on the
line two games left, I.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Don't think you do it. Then you make the move,
then it's way.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Too You got a five hundred record on the line
and consecutive season streak for Mike Tomlin. You got to
protect that at all costs, Soway, and it is gone.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Let's get off the play calling scener. No one cares
about calling for someone else's job. It was like the
walking wounded out there. So many guys got hurt.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
I mean MIKEA.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Fitzpatrick was out at one point. You know, you had
like Denzel Ward was out of one point. There's another
dB oh Greg Greg Newsom for the Cleveland Browns was
out like everyone's just getting hurt. That game was nuts.
I mean, that's just how physical I think the AFC
North is. But my goodness, man, people getting knocked out
left and right.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Now we do it in the four one two.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Dumb boys was was jumping off of front though on
both sides of the ball. I mean, they were getting
after it.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
And by the way, t J. Watts the all time
sack leader in steel history.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
That happened kind of quick, huh.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
I know that.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
I was, man, I was like Kevin Green, Like Kevin
Green is in like literally like number two position of
all time sacks. But I think he did a lot
of that in well, Saint Louis. I think he did
a lot of in Saint Louis before he even came
to Pittsburgh. Is probably what happened.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Where the longest, because that was the other I was,
that was the first thing that came to mind him
going really it wasn't okay.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
You mean, when Kevin Green was with the L A.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Rams the Rams, the Rams, not not the Ram. I
mean it was the Rams. I mean, la round they
were it was the Rams. God dang, he went back
that long ship's dump that dump, that dump that anyway. Yeah,
I didn't know he went back that. I guess so, though, no,
that is yeah, I guess so. But it was the

(16:59):
Rams anyway. It was the Rams. But yeah, I didn't know.
Like and then you started like I thought about Greg Lloyd,
I thought about Joey Porter, you know, I didn't you
know James Harrison had to have had a lot of
sacks as well, right, Yeah, I mean there's a lot
of guys that like got sacks for Pittsburgh. So but

(17:20):
what a hell of an accomplishment. I'll tell you that.
The Kidd's the hell of an accomplishment.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knoxley,
we are gonna have the usuals coming up later on.

But we do have ourselves a move that was made

(17:46):
in the NFL yesterday that is a big payoff for
the future of one franchise quarterback. We'll get into the
details on that for you here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific

Speaker 1 (18:10):
App Zu Pros and a Cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming
up in about twenty minutes from now from the tire
rack dot Com studios. A member of this show has
pissed off an entire fan base. You'll get the details
on that again coming up twenty minutes from now in

(18:30):
another edition of In case you missed it here on
Fox Sports Radio. Well, we'll see the Big Unveil in
about twenty minutes.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Got to be relevant enough to piss people up tire
fan base. Nah, come on, bar that's cue? No, yep,
what what did I do? Big Uneil? You pissed. I
don't know the.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Big unveil in twenty minutes, Hey, did you see there
was a big unveiling in Kansas City. It was called
a giant payday for Patrick Mahomes. Awesome, nice little deal
for Patrick Mahomes. There the little restructuring going out with
the Kansas City chiefs. Hohme, he's just going to get
what two hundred and ten million over the next four seasons,

(19:12):
and it's fully guaranteed. Just something along those lines. But
I thought, you know, there's a bunch of people thrown out,
a bunch of numbers, so it's probably appropriate that we
bring it to you the only way that this show
knows how to do it, and the best of anybody
on sports radio and television. May I present to.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
Thee now for more on this Two pros and a
cup of Joe. NFL contract analysts Bran te Quick.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
All right, I guess it's time for me to go
analyze the restructured contract of Patrick Mahomes, which is partially
a birthday gift, but also well it just deserves where
the guy is the MVP of the league, wins a
Super Bowl, was a Super Bowl MVP. I think triple
Crown there. Yeah, Mahomes will receive twitter and ten point
six million dollars over the next four years. That's twenty

(20:08):
twenty three to twenty twenty six. It's actually the most
money ever for a player over a four year span,
very deservedly. So he can reportedly earn up to two
unar and eighteen point six million by the time his
restructured agreement ends in twenty twenty six. So put it
into this context. Okay, we know about the initial deal

(20:32):
that he signed. I think it was what ten years,
five hundred and three million dollars.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
That was initially what he signed. So I think about it,
he's almost getting half of it in a four year span.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
Jesus, you know, to put a comparison to Shaun Watson's
deals turned thirty million. It was fully guaranteed for I
believe a five year deal. This happens in four years.
So however you want to look at it, it's a
lot of money in a short amount of time.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
And you got it. Love that if you're.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
Patrick Mahomes, his agent, or even any other quarterback out
there who's looking at structuring a deal, so.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Patrick Mahomes cash it in. They can't City Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Why do they do it now?

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Do you think because they wanted to get it done,
probably at the beginning of the season.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
It took a little little longer than they thought.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
But look, he should be compensated as the top quarterback,
top player in the league. He's earned that and this
contract reflects that now whereas it didn't kind of as
you watched other quarterbacks sign extensions getting paid more money,
and still Mahomes is sitting there in the contract saying, hey,

(21:41):
remember when I signed that ten year deal, you know
that five hundred million, that full commitment to you. Well,
now I'm like the sixth highest quarterback paid, like I
should probably still be number one if I'm playing that way.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Do you think it had anything to do with why
it took a little bit of time or it cleared
them to do it after they got Chris Jones finished up.
Would there have been any type of relation there in
terms of or coincidence that it happened not too long
after that got done.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah, no, I mean it's not a coincidence. It's all obviously,
you know, related to one another. Because we don't know
the exact details as far as how they're structuring it
at least yet. We'll see that once the fine print
comes out, but we'll see probably a fair amount of bonuses,
signing bonuses, etc. That helped create the cap space structure

(22:34):
necessary for Chris Jones as well as Patrick Mahomes to fit.
But the Jones deals only a one year deal, so
you know, he's allowed himself a chance to go into
free agency next year. This could be helping to create
cap space for the future of Chris Jones wants to stay.
I mean, clearly we saw his impact, you know, coming
back for Week two, he was phenomenal. Or it's just

(22:56):
preparing to go into free agency and try to pick
up some guys to replace him if they feel like
they're not going to have a chance of retaining Chris
Jones for the future.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Man Patrick Mahomes already, and he's got obviously a long
time to play, but already we're looking at like a
top five, top ten quarterback all time credential wise started
the career and he's got what you know, eight ten
years of high level football to go. And hope, I
hope it's completely changed the course of how you view

(23:31):
Andy Reid as a head coach historically, how you view
the Kansas City Chiefs, like they're just consistently going to
be looked at as a team that's going to be
a Super Bowl contender for the next ten years.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Let me ask this, and I'm not giving you much
time to research it, all right, how much do you
think has earned over the seven seasons that he's played
in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
A shade for.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
I'll say.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Seventy million, one hundred of Levar's closest almost one hundred
twenty million. And what's crazy about that to me is
he didn't really play his first year. He's really done
in six years of playing because member, they only played
the Week seventeen game in his rookie year and that
was it. And they just made the decision to switch.
And he was his MVP of the league in this

(24:18):
first year starting, and all he knows is AFC Championship
games in Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
I still remember when they made the decision to move
on from Alex Smith, and people were like, man, this
is a pretty bold decision. They were a playoff team,
Alex Smith was playing good football. They traded him to Washington.
You're gonna you're gonna turn the keys over to this
Patrick Mahomes guy. And he goes out the first week
against the Chargers and lights him up, and it was
I think, was that the here he threw fifty touchdowns
or something like touchdowns?

Speaker 2 (24:43):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (24:43):
It is too like that's the case study for quarterback wins.
It's not a stat because everyone's like, well, I don't
know this guy. It wasn't a winner at Texas Tech.
You know, Texas was a winner, talented. I wasn't a winner.
You know, you can't you can't take that guy.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I don't know. He's pretty good winner. Now.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
It's like you can put a player in a terrible situation,
circumstance and he's gonna have a hard time being able
to win games. It's why I repeatedly say that is
like we always give quarterbacks too much praise, too much blame.
We always overrate their impact on the game, like we
just do. This isn't basketball, where you could be a

(25:24):
two way player and you're on the court the entire time,
and it's much easier to isolate you and get you
those one on one opportunities or put you in a
position to really take over a game. It's football, like
you're out there for a third of the staffs, and
there's a lot of stuff that plays of role into it.
But look, he's been phenomenal since he's first started playing.

(25:45):
It's a very deserved contractory structure.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
And I think the one thing with the loyalty show to.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
The Chiefs out the gate for a ten year deal
where he really didn't need to and it's the only
unique deal like that you're gonna was was this Like
the team had to own up to restructuring his deal
every so often to make sure he's still happy.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
And this is one of those examples.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
If I were Andy Reid, I'm not going anywhere. Like
there's all this talk about him retiring. There was talk
after this last Super Bowl, you know, could this be it?
Maybe he'll come back for one more. Why the hell
would you leave if you've got this guy in the
prime of his career.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
There's a lot of talk right now about, well, hey,
the Chiefs are one to one. The offense doesn't look
that great without Eric P. Enemy. I'm just saying, man,
maybe it was all Eric P. Enemy.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Was a lot of talk about there, like two games
into the season.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Loose Tyreek Hill win a Super Bowl, no problem whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
I mean, he still threw for over three hundred yards though. Well,
I mean and in the last game, I believe what
they just played Jacksonville, right yeah, y yeah, and Kelsey
came back, which Kelse wasn't in the first game, right,
that's yea. I don't, I don't. I wouldn't get I
wouldn't panic on it. You know. Again, I don't know

(27:01):
why I panicked on him the year before. I felt
like he wasn't. I just remember I didn't feel like
he was protecting the ball.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
He said they needed to trade him.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
If I recall, I didn't say that at all. You
didn't say that. I didn't say that. I just didn't
feel like he was protecting the ball as well. And
I know we went over the stats, but then I
gave it like further thought. Sometimes it doesn't show in
the stats, like turnovers are turnovers, but protecting the ball

(27:30):
can can show itself in different different manners like careless
passes like or or maybe not careless but way too risky.
You know. I just felt differently this year. I look
at what they're doing and it's kind of like it's
a slow build, you know. You see Pachecos is starting
to assert himself and become a larger part of that offense.

(27:53):
And I think that they're going to be fine. I
think they're going to be fine. I don't know what
to what capacity or what degree that is for for Mahomes,
but he's going to be the catalysts. I mean, and again,
three hundred yards, two touchdowns. They did, you know, to

(28:13):
me what they needed to do to win against a
team that I think we're all high on in terms
of with Jacksonville. So yeah, I mean defense, it looked
pretty damn good. I just I wouldn't panic about I
went panic about Casey No, there's no or Patrick Mahomes.
It was just more of the comparison because the enemy

(28:33):
is not there now. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Well, I mean, you know, look at Washington, it's like, Okay,
this might not They're undefeated right now.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
By the way, where did you this new voice you've got.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
You've got a lot of voices.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
This one's good. It's almost like you're you're holding you're
pinching your nose and talking football like.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
You know, that's baby talk, man, Like he's in baby
he's in baby dead mode.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
No, it's the people who are like, oh, I'm scure
to say it out loud. But my god, I mean
Washington Commandos, Eric Vieennemy, my god, play it's the well
right now.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
It's like they don't want to like be like just
let it all hang out and just be like, hey, man,
I think the commanders are better with Eric Viennemy than
the kids the chiefs are right now.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Popular opinion. No, you guys don't like that.

Speaker 6 (29:23):
No, oh no, don't say it out loud. No, Patrick,
dear god, don't say that out loud. It's two games
into the season. Oh no, it's just like different. It's
like the it's like the water cooler talk. Yeah, that's
what you get. You get on the Alpha.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Something that got me dumped to.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
By the way, the places still have.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
By the way, I've also I've also figured out why
LeVar was out on homes last years. He just you
just sometimes try to be a contrarian to Jonas, and
I like, we'll say a contrarian to you guys. Yeah,
I do, because I was gonna say you like, we'll
say something. You'll be like, no, We're like, why love
are you Like? I don't know, but no, it's just
my opinion and I don't like you. And yeah, I

(30:04):
like that feelings. You know, I like gut feeling, Like
you said, I don't like facts. Like It's like, I
like gut feelings. If my gut tells you ever think
that's like maybe I had a bad enchilada or something
and maybe that that's impacting your gut.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Feels possible, But but I'm going to base what I'm
feeling with my gut off of all given factors. Do
you guys see that it could a bad enchilada?

Speaker 3 (30:25):
You see the text I sent you about the red ass, Yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Yes, that's the what they guts say about for you, Like, yeah,
why why is that? Why is that that they don't
like anything to be nicely said about stated about the
you know, the fighting irish What.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
I feel like that lives within the college football world
where like you've got these matchups week to week and
there just tends to be more fun, more chatter about them,
and like that's one of them. So for those out
there obviously who cannot see it, it was basically this
like health ad of people who are like had their
hand on their butt with a big red around it,

(31:12):
and it just said something like anytime someone says something
complimentary about Notre Dame Ohio State fans reaction.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Send it to Breer see what he says. Yeah, it

Speaker 1 (33:21):
And for that we turn it over to our executive producer,
Lead lap Good.

Speaker 8 (33:26):
More than everybody, guys, in case you miss it. College
football fans are not too happy with the layout for
Week five Colorado USC kickoff time being twelve pm Eastern
nine am Pacific time for Big noon kickoff.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Oh see Colorado.

Speaker 8 (33:45):
Obviously, West Coast fans are not too happy with the
nine am kickoff time ten am Mountain time.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Geez, yeah, way to go, Brady. Why'n't you let him
sleep in a little bit, you guys.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Get Yeah, Well, the issue is one of the reasons
why the pack trolls no longer existence, because you guys
haven't cared about football for a while.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
So unfortunately, start caring now. You can't. You can't be
upset now.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Okay, that's the swan song of the pac twelve deepest
conference right now, best quarterback play, and now you want
to start caring about kickoff times? And by the way,
you know who cared about you know, being able to
play early? And then some of these windows USC and UCLA.
That's probably why we went to the Big ten. Yeah,
because no one out there on the West Coast cares

(34:27):
enough to get up and watch it. People on the
East Coast, they'll be up early, they'll be watching it.
I realize there's a time difference, but just saying if
it was at nine am, they'd.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Be out there.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
We've already done a game at ten am local time
in Colorado. Those kids are up at four am for
those games. So apparently there's just, I don't know, maybe
a little disconnect to the West Coast kiddos who are
upset about the start of the game.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Yeah, stop crying about it. Look at it is a
trial run for when they do go to the Big ten,
you know, like get to get some of the rust
off and get after it a little bit at naches.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
You know what I miss.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Like one of the early things I remember I first
saw was like kegs and eggs, Like I remember, yeah,
with my my buddies brother and it was like an
early kick game. I think it was a nude kick
at one o'clock kick something like that. But he took
us over to like a house party, and I'm like,
this is the coolest thing ever. People just get up,
start getting ready for football tailgating and they're like drinking

(35:22):
and then eating eggs and all that. I was like
this is pretty deep.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Yeah, I love it. Apparently the West Coast.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
They don't do that, Sam, you you did kegs and
eggs One time.

Speaker 9 (35:29):
I went to visit my sister when she was a
student at the University of Pennsylvania, and we went to
a penn Princeton game, which is a rivalry game in
the Ivy League.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Huge game.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
Yeah, huge game.

Speaker 9 (35:38):
I was about to say what Quaker fans say about Princeton,
but I won't because it's radio. But yeah, it was
a lot of fun with a game I think was
at like you know, eleven am or nude or something.
We had some breakfast, had some beer.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
Are you keg and egging it this weekend? Jonas? Lee?
You got keg and egg No? I don't need that early. No.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
I mean I if I was going to eat that
early would definitely be a graduate hotel though, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Yeah. I'm staying at the Graduate this weekend too.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Yeah. State College. Yeah, he got State College on lock.
I've got Columbia on lock with Lee. Yeah, Brady's probably
still renting in Boulder.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
I mean this is this week yeah, right, LeVar Allens
and wings for me.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Damn that early in the morning.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
Breakfast food baby all right? Yeay? What else?

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Yea, guys?

Speaker 8 (36:32):
In case you missed this, Erie County Sheriff's off Is
held a press conference yesterday announcing that the Good Morning
Brady announcing that they found a Bills fan stuck in
a thirty to forty feet deep hole at the new
construction site for the new stadium. But get this, not
was he Not only was he stuck there, he was naked,
covered in chemicals from a porta potty and high on weed,

(36:53):
LSD and cocaine alive. I mean he's treated for his
treated for uh, for some injuries, having fallen in the hole,
covered in chemicals.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Just the injuries, not the weed LSA, LSD or cocaine addiction.
Just the injuries we're gonna treat him for. That's nice.
How how did he get in the hole?

Speaker 8 (37:13):
He just he decided to jump the fence at and
then fell it.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
That's pretty funny.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
I I mean, what would prompt you?

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Like?

Speaker 3 (37:30):
What?

Speaker 1 (37:30):
What order do you think it win? He started smoking
weed first and then went LSD to coke or coke
to LSD. What do you think was the.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
You can't make sense of no sense? Man?

Speaker 1 (37:42):
I mean, but I mean, there's no, there's.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
No way of knowing, no, because it could have been
at the same time, it could have been simultaneously, like
it could have been a lot of things going on
at the same time. Man who knows, he doesn't even know.
He wouldn't even be able to tell you.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
And he had poor potty juice all over them, Jesse
from breaking, breaking.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Bad, disgusting.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Well, ookay he celebrated the big bills win, so you
know they're tearing that state.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
I bet you he's dehydrated really bad. That he needed
a lot of ivy fluid, you know.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Damn yeah, may some kegs and eggs.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
You do all them drugs, don't you.
