Speaker 2 (00:39):
Hey? What version are we reading this hour? Version one
too two?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Version two?
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Damn. I just want to make sure I'm on the
same page as y'all. See, you can't undercommunicate, you know
what I mean? You can always you can always make
sure you're over communicating, you know what I mean. Yeah,
we're going versions.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Here A rundown virgin two though.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, I mean, but you know, some of us don't
like using facts, bro. I just like, that's why I
asked the question, just to make sure we was all
on the same page.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
That's all based on that picture. You ain't got it
got any more.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
I don't. I definitely don't. Yo, it is pretty much gone.
I'm gonna go do a quick and dirty forty minute
workout possibly after this show. I'm gonna run down in
their weight room. It's gonna be quick and dirty. I
mean dirty is like dirty dirty damn. Then I'm gonna
get no rest in between. It's like, just go, Joe, knockdown,
(01:36):
like knockdown, like maybe four exercises with like three sets,
no rest, Just go.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I think if you work out over an hour, it's
it's kind of you. It's a mistake. I just I
think you can get everything you need to get done
in under an hour.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
I like resting in between, though, like it's not great
to do it, but I like thinking about my next set,
you know, doing the perfect rep so I don't rush
through my lipts. So I'll be in the weight room
for like.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yeah, I'm kind of like LeVar. I'm somewhere in between. Actually,
I feel like some days I like doing what Levard does.
Some days I like doing what Jonas does. It just depends,
It just depends. The rest allows you to go to
like a really dark place before that next that next set,
you know, like like some like five year old on
the playground like that sort of like dark place, like,
(02:26):
hey man, I remember, I remember what Tommy said to
me in the playground back when I was five. If
I saw him again right now, I would chuck him
like you hold onto some of those things.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
You know, it's crazy. I use. I use some real imagery,
like dark, dark imagery, like the dragons from from Game
of Thrones. I'll be listening to that song, the realistic stuff.
Yeah it's not realistic.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Wow, you know, get your fantasy whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
But I would actually be like, you know, thinking about
the war scene where the dragon came out of the sky.
They was looking up and he you know, he fired
up all of the ships, the you know, the fight
boats and all that stuff, and in my mind, I'm
the dragon, and then I grabbed the weight and and
and that weight are those those boats that that the
dragon is burning down? You know what I mean? And
(03:13):
then I start feeling like this, this this bolting jolt
energy that just jumps into my body. It just comes
out of me. And I just grabbed that weight and
I'm like, own this weight, take this weight, and I
throw this weight around. Then I'm done.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah, I'll say this.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Listen. That awesome.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
I mean, I'll say this, the dragons Game of Thrones
was cool, and then the ice Dragon popped up completely
changed my opinion on which was the better dragon dragon.
I mean the blue eyes b that's I know, I
love it what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
But I knew the one that was alive, and I
didn't like the fact that it.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Died the first. But when the Night King touched his
hand into the dragon's head and the eye opened up blue,
that's how I get in the gym. Like, that's how
I am.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
All right. You know, why didn't they do an ice
dire wolf. That's I'm curious about that. You know, so
time they go that route. Why why didn't they turn
one of them into you know, a zombie, you know,
night crawler.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Why they call them white walkers?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
You know why they got to be white walkers? None
of them was white?
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Why do that?
Speaker 2 (04:28):
It's gotta be we hadn't had one in quite some time.
I mean, man, glad we touched on one before the
show got too far in.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Yeah, we had to hit our quota. Oh, by the way,
I forgot to mention white walkers.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Ain't that nothing? I mean maybe they was. They was
giving us a hint. You know I did. I did.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
I did forget too.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
White people.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
They walking for some reason.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Lee, fast forward and through all those scenes.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
By the way, I did you so stupid? I did
so stupid. I did forget. I did forget to make
you guys don't.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Want to this. Okay, just look at this one.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
I do want to apologize to you guys, because he's
got to get this sen Yeah, it's a football Friday ahead.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yeah, come on.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Yeah yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, okay, come on, come
on Friday saying that, come on yeah Friday, Yeah, come
on Sam?
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Yeah, Sam, come on.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Come on, come on, all right, kill it, kill it,
kill it now, Yeah, come on Friday night is come on? Yeah,
football Friday, rock so hurdle, white out weekend.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yeah, it is a football Friday here.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
It's a white out Friday here. Damn why I gotta
be a white out? Screw you, Lee, you know what
I mean? White out. No, no, it's a white Friday, baby,
it is.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
It definitely is. And we started off Week three in
the NFL talking about the missing pieces for the Giants.
Obviously Saquon Barkley, they had some injuries on the offensive line.
So the injuries there for the Giants, you know, are
having a little bit of an impact on their performance
to start the year, and they're just not that great
of a football team right now. But then you start
looking around the NFL and you go, man, we got
(06:26):
a few quarterbacks that are banged up. We are two
weeks into the season. Obviously Rogers is gone for the year,
but now you've got Bryce Young who's expected to not play.
He's gonna miss this weekend's game. Anthony Richardson's still in
concussion protocol, Joe Burrow's dealing with the CAF issue. No
one knows whether or not he's gonna play on Monday night.
Brady Quinn, what the hell's happening to your position here?
This is a rough start when this many quarterbacks, starting
(06:47):
quarterbacks are going down two weeks into the season.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah, I think it's interesting.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Like with each one, there's obviously like a different story
behind it. You know, Anthony Richardson has been hurt the
past two weeks, right, he had to leave week one,
and minshe had to come in. And I think it's
in partant because of their physical style of play that
that he you know, he utilizes when he gets outside
and runs, and obviously Shane Steike and their head coach
and play caller, you know, he wants to play the
(07:13):
strengths of his quarterback and if you if you're asking,
like which rookie quarterbacks looks the look the best, Richardson's
look great when he's in there. So it's it's it's been,
it's been a good thing for the Colts. However, it's
come at his detriment where you might see Gardner Minshew
this week because Richardson's still in the in the concussion protocol,
which and by the way, anyone who saw that play
last week, you probably missed it, but you know, he
(07:35):
scores the touchdown and he slams his head in the
back of the ground. He got up, celebrated, and then
I think he started, you know, feeling symptoms once he
got over the sideline. But kind of a bizarre play.
And if you you know, didn't catch it on the
replay to see how bad his head hit, you probably
would have missed it. With Bryce Young, I think the
more concerned thing there is that was the big question
(07:56):
mark about him. You know, if he was a little
bit bigger, people have had less concerns about him. His
ability to hold up the protection hasn't been great at
all this year, and now it's it's two weeks into
the season and he's already potentially he's already going to
miss this game. We don't know how much longer it
will be, but Andy Dalton has been announced as a
starter for this week for Carolina. So concerning, but that's
why you have Dalton in the position that you do.
(08:18):
I just think long term, you know, if they can't
fix the protection, they can't get you know, given some
weapons to stretch the field vertically, it could be it
could be a rough going for for Bryce Young. And
Burrow's battled, you know, early season injuries. I mean last
year was what appendicitis or was that whatever it was.
You know, he's he's just he's kind of battled injuries.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
This time of year.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
Go back to his college days at Ohio Stateim got
hurt in the spring and impacted his ability to play
in the spring game.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
So a bit bizarre. But you know, the hard thing
for them is they let.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Will Greer move on who is on their roster, So
it's Jake Browning if Burrow can't go, And it's nothing
against Jake brown he just has He's got one pass
attempt in his career in the NFL, and so that's
it's tough to think he's to be able to come
in there and give them what they need. And on
top of that, their offensive line play, it's supposed to
be the best bros had they have struggled, and so
(09:08):
he's a sitting duck back there with that calf injury.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
I mean, I'm not gonna touch that. That's a quarterback's analysis.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Yeah, but I mean, you know, it's not not ideal
for the league when you've got you know, four out
of thirty two or are dealing with this hurt this early,
and you know it's.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Like, but look at it this way. If guys don't
get hurt, you don't get the opportunity to discover a
Rock Party or a Tom Brady or whatever be So
when somebody goes down, the opportunity is there, and I
think the entertainment value of it is seeing if guys
can step up to the plate and do Like Andy
(09:46):
Dalton had a time where he was considered to be
an elite quarterback in the National Football League. Now he
gets an opportunity later on in his career, the twilight
of his career. Can he do something with it? You know,
any of these younger guys that may or guys that
haven't played very much get the opportunity because a younger
guy has gone down in Richardson or in young and
(10:08):
you get the opportunity to step in and play play.
That's the entertainment value. I don't think it's bad for
business at all, because you get the opportunity to see
if somebody can actually do something that's out of the
ordinary or out of the expected in getting these opportunities.
So it is what it is. It's the greatest that
(10:28):
everybody knows that football is the greatest reality TV show
that that's ever been created.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
The one thing I'd say too, is that, and this
is going to sound awkward, but the NFL emphasizes quarterbacks
too much.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
They really do.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
I mean, I think it's for these situations where you say,
if you weren't making every single team about the quarterback,
then you're not as concerned when this sort of thing happens.
And there are obviously capable guys like LaVar just touched
on Andy Dalton Gardner, minh Shoes, very capable. We've already
seen them this year coming in spot duty and do
(11:03):
a good job. You know, there's other guys who can
step in and do it. I mean, hell, Nick Foles
won a Super Bowl, you know, coming in as a backup.
So I just think at times we overemphasize it so
much that we fail to realize.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
I mean, look at Josh Dobbs.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Josh Doubbs just got to Arizona, right, and the dudes
like literally single handedly kept their team in games.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
He's played phenomenal for them.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Yeah, I mean it's just we we tend to like
overemphasize it, and I think when then when injuries happen,
we just like, oh, what's throwing the towel. It's like, dude,
there's a lot of guys who are capable of stepping
in and giving spot work. And by the way, there's
other dudes in the team stepping up to making plays.
So I'm not sure how you you know, put that
toothpaste back in the bottle.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
It kind of is what it is.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
But I do think the NFL needs to do a
better job of highlighting other position groups, other players, especially
considering like the impacts that they have in the game,
whether it's at cornerback, wide receiver, edge rusher, o line, whatever.
There's some great people, personalities and other faces that could
be the face of the NFL as opposed to just quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
That's why when they're talking about how Peyton Manning can't
find anybody to do the quarterback season two on Netflix,
and Stafford might do it, but he's like everybody's turning
him down. It's like, dude, turn it over to another
position group, Like make other people the stars, Like let
people get to know them, just like people got to
know Kirk Cousins all of a sudden, Like how your
narrative on Kirk Cousins changes because you go, man, he's
(12:27):
a really likable guy who works his ass off and
his teammates like him for a reason. I think you
could do that with other position groups and you could
start shifting the focus to some of those other guys.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
Look at the Kelsey's, Yeah, look at the Kelsey's podcast,
Look At what the Kelsey's have done. You has a
center and a tight end. Granted Travis used to play quarterback,
but like those are two entertaining dudes. Do you know
how first off, can I petition for Jamal Williams down
in New Orleans. That's one of the funniest human beings
you will ever find. He is, so he's awesome, and
(12:57):
he's the most unique person you'll ever meet if you
talked to him, because he's got such unique perspective. Like
there are dudes littered everywhere in the NFL who are
super talented. I mean, look at Pat McAfee, I mean honestly,
and then like look at aj and the role he
plays in that Like Aj if if you knew Aj
when he was a player and all his teams would
tell you just like he day much man. He goes in,
(13:19):
he does the work, he cracks some jokes every once
a while. But like now you see him all right
on TV. How McAfee about him? How would you know
that about Aj Hawk? I mean, like you act like
you know the dude. Well, I'm just saying, like you
see these guys who, like the media didn't really highlight
when they were playing, because one was a punter and
you know one of the one was a linebacker. And
(13:41):
then now you see what they're able to do when
you give them a platform. Like there's a lot of
guys who are talented like that. And I'm not saying
like a ton of Pat McAfee's, but you've got a
lot of guys who you know, could could be highlighted
on some of these series and shows, and it shouldn't
just be specific to a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
I agree with you. Michael Parsons is a character. I'm
telling you, you get around him, he is a character. There
there are some guys in the league that are just
straight up fools, just straight up characters, LaVar.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
I'm not criticizing because you know me. You know the
vehicle I drive, you know how I work, you know
the shoes I wear. Michael Parsons strikes me as somebody
who's very frugal. Is that correct?
Speaker 2 (14:21):
He is? He's cheap, very cheap, cheap.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
How cheap? I feel like there's a story behind this.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
No, he's cheap, he's just he's very aware. I mean
he spends money, he spends you know, he buys things.
But he's just very he's just very aware. He's he's
just he's cheap, because.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
I've seen like him send tweets out where he's like
complained about the price of something people.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Like going to a park, how much you got to
pay to get into a park and stuff like that,
how much you cost hot dogs and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Here's the thing, though, is when you grow up and
people just give you stuff for free, especially as an athlete,
it does become like you become more aware when you're
like having to pay for something.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
You're like, oh, didn't you Like I know I did.
It was like God, like, wait, I gotta pay this
for some nikes, Like, well.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
See, my parents made me have a job.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
I've had a job since I was fourteen, so I've
always like they've always kind of prepared me for that,
and so I've kind of always known the value of
a dollar.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
But there's definitely like that element like when I.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Knew, I always felt like, well, I knew that dude
was getting stuff for free because he's complaining about everything,
Like I was like I always trying to pay for stuff.
I always felt bad, like I would never want to
take a handout from someone, especially you know, obviously housing
the pros.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
All that is.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
I'm like, I have money to pay, like like I'm
not someone who like needs it. Like I have money
to pay you, and you're trying to run a business,
So I have no problem paying you.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Like small businesses, small businesses, I do that, But like
Nike and under Armour and when you go into places,
I'm like, I'm looking at that stuff. I'm like, I
want to grab a big bag and I want to
put everything in that that can fit into that bag
into that bag. And I'm not paying for it. And
if I have now as a civilian, you gotta pay
(16:13):
for it. I'd be like, wait a second, one hundred
dollars for a pack of socks?
Speaker 4 (16:21):
What bro I saw a guy from Nike when we
were back at Boulder last week, and the dude was like, oh, yeah, man,
yeah he used to he used to be with us
and all that.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (16:32):
He's like, And I was like, yeah, man. I was
like every foot injury ever had those in your shoes.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
I was like I was. I wasn't wearing a pair
of Nikes. I spent a total ass. I said, you
all need to stop producing stuff and sweatshops over.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
There, bang I'm just saying, man, like every injury I
ever had a Nike cleat.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
I'm not gonna pull punches. I'm gonna be real with you.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Well, I if we throwing out. When I was wearing
under Armours cleatstom bitches was breaking off during I had
to I went through like three four pairs because the
bottoms was breaking off. Like I'd be walking off the
field like why should I feel the field on my foot?
I'd be looking at the like the first iteration, Yeah
it was, I was, I was, I was. I'm actually
(17:20):
the first player that left Nike to go with under Armour.
I went on there. They try to say is ray Lewis,
because I guess it's a better story he's a Baltimore guy.
But it was made that win. But yeah, you're right,
it was that they had just switched over to doing cleats.
I was the test crash test dummy, and I gladly
did it for the check that they gave me. I
did do it for certain.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Protect this yummy right now. If Graduate Hotels made shoes,
I'd wear those, that's for sure, would you. Yeah, that's
the way I work.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
That's why you got your arm resting like that huh hotel,
get seat the recherr.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Arm accommodation for that version two arm rest.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Yeah, versus babies kill this one. That's not an opinion.
We are going to kill this one. Watch watch us
do it, and watch us do it.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
The Internet's gonna go out and all three of us
and we're gonna screw it up.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
That would be the funniest junk.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Two Pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox

guys want to hear Zach Wilson convince you of something.
(21:45):
He's gonna try and sell you on something. So there
was yeah, well, I mean so he was asked.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
He was as honest, you know, she doesn't want to
hear it, Well, come on to it.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
I'm just saying, I'm kind of kind of over it.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
I want to hear it, all right.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
So, Zach Wilson was asked about the potential of the
Jets bringing in another quarterback because I don't know if
you know, that's been there's been some rumblings and maybe
they would go to their direction. And here was the
starting quarterback for the Jets. In his response, Jets haven't
brought in another quarterback kicked out as a mode of confidence.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
So I actually don't look at it like that.
Speaker 7 (22:20):
You know, for me, it's I'm the guy right now,
my numbers called, and so I'm gonna go out there
and do everything I can for this offense. And you know,
that's not something I really need to worry about because
right now I got all the guys in the locker
room behind me, and I just got to lay my
trust in those guys and go play football.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, screw you haters.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
So I'm talking about right, I'm not with Q on this.
You set that up for us to want to listen
to that. What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (22:43):
This is what you left me for.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
What do you mean?
Speaker 4 (22:51):
And by the way, it's not like they reportedly didn't
try to sign a quarterback. They try to sign Chad Henny,
who apparently turned down their offer according to reports.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Though, well, I mean, you know, like, why wouldn't if
you were a veteran court Here's let me ask you
a better question. How bad does the season have to
get for the Vikings before they consider trading Kirk Cousins
to the Jets.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
I think if they lose this one, I think. I
think if they start off oh and three, you have
to give a song consideration. The only thing that makes
me think though that they can they feel like they
can bounce out of this is you just trade it
for cam Akers and so you're you're starting to kind
of build on this roster. Cam Akers is it his
last year, I believe, on his rookie deal. So I
don't know that you just lease him for the year
(23:37):
and make that move unless you're saying, like, hey, we
still feel like we could battle back from this and
out of this. I mean, is anyone right now running
away with the NFC North No, Well, the Bears are
running away from there, running away from it, right, Yeah,
you got the Bears oh into Viking.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Or is Detroit and two.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
Case that's right, that's right, and then you've got Green
Bay's one on one right.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
So my whole.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Point is just like you're not no one's running away
with it. I don't know you have to the panic
button yet. I think if you were in a division
where it's tight and their's is you go try to
play out this year and see if you can't win
the division, make a run.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Once you get to the playoffs. I think that's how
you have to play it.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
But if they lose this week and I don't know
who the well, the Vikings have Carolina after that in
week four, so it then comes down and that's on
the road, So it then comes down to how they
kind of see their season outlook depending on how this
week looks.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Yeah, it's uh, that's that That would be an interesting
But now, Kirk Cousins, is that a fit for Nathaniel
Hackett in that offense? If that's a move that they
decide to make, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
I mean he's playing enough now, he's played enough West
Coast offenses. Well, I don't I don't think that'd be
an issue for him. He's a smart, smart guy. It
may not be exactly what you want your one under
in season like this, but he could do it.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
He's very capable of that.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
I think the hard thing because is long term, like
why do you want to go there?
Speaker 3 (25:09):
You know you?
Speaker 4 (25:10):
I'm not exactly sure of the contract he signed, does
he have a no trade clause where he's got the
ability to say to the Vikings like, yeah, I don't
want to go there, because why would he want to
get traded? To a spot where he knows it's you
know there, and then free agency. I don't know, like
there's a long term opportunity because I do.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Remember that when he signed the first guaranteed deal with
the Vikings, the other team that was in consideration, and
this could have been just a leverage point, but the
other team was the Jets. Like it came down to
the Jets and the Vikings. So it's something he's kicked
Caryers on before, so maybe he would.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
Jets actually offered him more money and he took less
for the fully guaranteed deal with.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
The Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 4 (25:49):
And by the way, there is a no trade clause,
so he would have to approve whatever team gets traded to.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
I think the only thing about going to the Jets.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Is is you say to yourself, you know again, it's
Rogers team once he comes back healthy. So what am
I doing outside of being here for the next however
many months. I think you maybe want to stay put
in Minnesota, see if you can't win the NFC North
and then worry about free agency or worry about your
long term prospects after that.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
And trade deadline is October thirty first, it's usually Halloween
or in and around that time frame. So at that point,
if we've got the Chargers this upcoming week, and if
you mentioned you got Carolina after that, say they lose
to the Chargers, they're zero and three, but they beat Carolina,
you've got the Chiefs, the Bears, and the Niners. So
(26:35):
you're probably looking at what two and five at that point.
If my math is correct, then it probably isn't. And
you're sitting at the trade deadline a two and five
football team, and you're looking around the NFC, and depending
on where those other teams are at in the North,
it is at least something that you know, you wonder,
I mean, if they've already gotten rid of Dalvin Cook,
(26:56):
if they've already kind of made decisions and have said,
you know, we're not discussing a contract extension with him,
I just wonder if that would be something that they
would be interested in doing. But you know, hey, again
he did he did take less money to go to
the Minnesota Vikings. So maybe they're still insulted and Jets
fans are still upsetive.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Zach Wilson ain't worried.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Man.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
The team's behind him. You know, he's behind himself, and
there's no reason to think that he can't get the
results that the Jets need. I can guarantee you what
he's going to show up to his suite with with
his ice leaned out necklace again, might even come grilled
up this time. It's it's it's Zach Wilson's time. Do
(27:35):
what you need to do. There, you go done.
Speaker 4 (27:38):
It's got to be disheartening the fact that, you know,
you keep hearing the team say, hey, look we still
believe in him.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
He's still our guy.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
And you know, even after they brought in a guy
because you know clearly you weren't doing well enough, you
then see them say, oh, no, he's our guy.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
He's our guy.
Speaker 4 (27:55):
But they keep searching for someone else to come in
that room because obviously they don't feel like what they
have is gonna be adequate for them to try to
make a run at the playoffs. I almost feel like
this year is a bit of a wash in a
way for them.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Now.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
If they didn't want to bring in a veteran like
a Matt Ryan or Carson Wentz or whoever else is
going to throw in the conversation, Cam Newton like go
after a guy who's done it, has been there before, succeeded,
and if things don't work out, so be it. But
if you end up somewhere in the top five, top
seven of the draft, you're gonna get a hell of
a player that's gonna be there for Aaron Rodgers when
(28:30):
he's coming back healthy. And I think that's one saving
grace for Jets fans, Like I know you don't want
to write off this season after two weeks, but it
just I kind of feel like that's one perspective you
may have to adopt, otherwise you might go crazy watching
the rest of this year.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
You mentioned that in the notes. I think it might
have been yesterday where you talked about if this season
goes the way and it is a wash season, they
could end up with being such a quarterback heavy draft
class with the best non quarterback in the draft. That's
a possibility.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
I mean, who you're talking Marvin Harrison junior out of
Ohio State, a wide receiver you want to go there.
You're talking Joe Alt left tackle on a Notre Dame
like they've had issues on the old line.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
I mean, there's a lot of a.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
Lot of opportunity there as far as who that that
next player would be so imagine Garah Wilson and Marvin
Harrison Junior with Aaron Rodgers good luckies.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
That would be tremendous.
Speaker 6 (29:28):

That's right.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
More than one reason for that is that what.
Speaker 8 (33:59):
Do we.

I'm allowed to take away from that.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
But but let's go ahead and uh and figure out
what the hell you got.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
For us today, Columbia.
Speaker 9 (34:11):
Guys, I was introduced to Carolina barbecue sauce last night.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
It's like mustard based.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Very sweet, very tangy, very tangy.
Speaker 9 (34:17):
Yeah, I'm I'm immediately in her. You guys enter out
on Carol Carolina.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
That's how i make my my barbecue sauce. I'm in.
I'm all the way I prefer.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
I'm not a guy.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
I don't like the tang.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
I like Brady Hushman's adas, nothing nothing.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
I like spicy, and I like the smokier stuff as
opposed to the tang.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
I'm with Jonas on that.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Maybe it's just because I enjoyed Kansas City barbecue so
much and it's got a different little kick to it
in Texas. Some of the places I've been, I mean,
Dreamland down in Tuscaloosa. Oh yeah, or excuse me, Birmingham
is where I'm location too.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
That's spots legit as well.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Yeah, I made a mistake when I went into Dreamland
and Birmingham and tried to ask for something that wasn't
on the menu, that didn't go Oh god, yeah, just surgery.
I just I asked him. I said, hey, do you
guys have try tip? And she just looked at me
and said, no, everything we have is on the menu.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
I want a calif Do you have tip?
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Hare liked would have a bottle of a dollar of
grape poo pond.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
But yeah, that was not not a highlight for me.
Speaker 9 (35:47):
But what else, Well, I want to stick with food
just for a second. It's ice cream cone day. But
I don't care about ice cream cones. I care about
this fat baby that LeVar just introduced introduced us to.
He's basically a pasta bread bowl in the shape of
a home. It's a garlic loaf just stuffed with like
fetishiniel fredo and.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
Plant of them if you keep looking at one of
them is a pizza and they wrapped the pizza like
a cone and they put spaghetti in it. It's like
a pepperoni pizza too. I'm in, I'm in. I just
know I'm just going to be in the restroom for
about five.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Hours really, and my soul is that like.
Speaker 3 (36:25):
We would be hugging that toilet too.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
I know where I'm going after the show is going
to be a fire alarm that goes off in my
brain and my soul.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Where are you going back?
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Going back up the brooms.
Speaker 9 (36:37):
That you got starting to I just wanted to spare
everyone in the lobby.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Oh wow, by the.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Way, by the way, the the SS crop duster came
out at the baggage claim yesterday. Lee to laugh was
the pilot. I mean instantaneous right on in huh. I
mean just it's just instantaneous disgust. And I said, I
I can't be around this sleep away.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
That's crazy thing short when you gotta laugh about how
bad it smells, but then move, that's when you know
it's real. Like when it's bad, you're like, oh, that's bad,
Like that's like, dude, that's gross, like and you standing
there it's like, that is what it is. But when
it's so bad that you start laughing, like my daughter,
(37:23):
I hit my daughter the other day. My eight year old,
and she started laughing and then she started dry even
and I was like, naw, that's bad. We I had
just parked. She jumped out of that car. She was
looking to turn back and looked at me and was
running into the house, taking her head like dad, man,
(37:44):
that's what it's bad. When you laughing, you gotta get away.
So good for you. Do it, do it right. Question
of the week.
Speaker 9 (37:51):
Are you guys enter out on the Roman Empire? How
often do you think about the Roman Empire?
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Well, you know, I did my college thesis on was
my Yeah, how you say thesis?
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Thesis?
Speaker 2 (38:08):
You can tell thesis? Uh So anyway, yeah, on it
and that's yeah, I'm all, I'm all in on that.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
Well, let me let me put you guys. Let me
put you guys up on some game here.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
So that is actually an old trend that's been going around.
And so obviously, uh Matt, who's big on TikTok, Yeah,
he filmed this last week.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
But we yeah, we kind of knew that was that
was the case. We knew what we were talking about.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
All right, what else, guys?
Speaker 9 (38:37):
We got Steelers at Raiders Sunday night football. Are you
guys enter out on the fire Canada, chance the fireback Canada.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
That's play hell for that. But I'm but I'm in
that
