we've got some cheating or concern over signal stealing or
(01:23):
whatever you want to call it, or intel having involving
the Patriots. This is seemingly popped up again. First and foremost,
we start with the most recent developments, which are the Patriots,
who will be in Dallas to take on the Cowboys
coming up this weekend. The Patriots as of right now
are six and a half point underdogs on courtesy of
(01:44):
our friends at Draftking Sportsbook. So you would think, okay,
Dallas has got all the advantages here, but apparently Brian
Schottenheimer and the Dallas Cowboys are concerned Brady Quinn because
Will Greer and Ezekiel Elliott are former Cowboys and maybe
they've got some intel on what's happening there with the offense.
Speaker 5 (02:01):
So just so people understand on the outside, this is
not the first time that any team has ever picked
up players from an opponent. Okay, and this happens all
the time in the NFL, in particular with practice squad
players and probably more so with quarterbacks. They're going to
bring a player in, they're gonna pay him, and they're
(02:22):
probably gonna ask him while he's there to run scout
team and give them every little thing about the system
that he was just in. So the reality of this is, yeah,
there's probably things that Zeke Elliott and Will Greer know
about the Dallas Cowboys offensive system that they were going
to tell the New England Patriots as they prepare for
(02:43):
this game. No different than any other scenario where this
has played out in the past, you know.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Decades of the NFL. So not that big of a deal.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
Not sure why Brian schatt Hiver is making such a
big deal about it, because again, this stuff happens all
the time. I guess maybe he's more concerned with the
fact that Will Greer was there and as a quarterback,
you are pretty you know, you're pretty I guess well
versed and understan like knowing everything that goes on. Sometimes
(03:15):
you bring in a practice squad player at a different
position or any other player in your active roster and
they may have only paid attention to their position. So
Zeke Elliott might have been like, yeah, I only really
pay attention to what the running back stuff is, so
you know, this is what they do or this is
how they align if they're going to run this sort
of play or something like that. Quarterbacks are paying attention
to everything they can be like, hey, man, here are
(03:35):
their hands signals in two minutes to the wide receivers.
Here's their calls to the line of scripts they want
to change this. Hey, here's their defense. Here's what they
check to if you give mempty. Here's what they check
to if you do this or do that. This is
what the defense for Dallas checks And like, you know
all of it because all you do is sit in
a film room. You try to figure out different ways
of scheming guys up, and you've got to understand every
(03:56):
single person's position on offense and.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
On defense and what they're required to do.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
So maybe just because of the position and who it
is and Will Greer and he says, all right, like
that's where our disadvantage is, where we might not be
able to make a lot of the calls that we've
used in the past because Will's privy to them or
he knows them.
Speaker 6 (04:16):
I think Dallas is in a curious position based off
of all of the given scenarios. And like, I'll defer
that you know the response there to to what you
know Q just gave. But I mean if you look
at what they got coming ahead, I mean they're they're
They're not in a super favorable position to have a
(04:43):
whole lot of wins, are they. I mean, if we're
if we're looking at what could possibly happen in terms
of them being favorites and in winning games. I mean,
how many of these these next games are are are
we giving them? And I think they're going to be
in game. I mean, even though the Rams haven't figured
out how to really win at a rapid clip, they're
(05:07):
they're a little bit more. I think they're a little
bit more competitive than what I was anticipating them to be.
I mean, they they if they had a little bit
more offense, they could have very easily got out of
that that Bengals game would have win. I mean, their
defense is still playing pretty good.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
So you're referencing because they've got obviously New England this weekend,
then they're at San fran and then at the Chargers.
Speaker 6 (05:32):
Yeah, so I'm thinking I'm looking at the Rams as
maybe the Chargers. I think they're going to have a
hard time with They're going to have a hard time
with the forty nine ers. They're gonna they're going to
have a hard time with the Patriots. You know, the
Patriots aren't winning, but they're not a bad team.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I think they're going to smash the Patriots personally.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
I mean, I would assume that they get the Patriots,
but I don't know that they get the next two.
So they might split the next four. And what happens
when they have what what should be what should have been,
or what could be the most anticipated matchup that they'll
have if they're doing what they're supposed to do as
(06:11):
a team, which is they go up against the Eagles.
So if you if you had that Eagles game, they
could very easily lose three of their next five games.
And if they were to lose three of their next
five games, how are we looking at this, this Dallas
Cowboys team. I mean, I know how we're expecting them
to do and what we expect to see them do
in terms of and I'm not saying we as in me.
(06:34):
I'm just saying for those who think that they're going
to the super Bowl, or you know, think that this
is a team that's really, you know, really good, what
I mean, how are we looking at you know what
what what they they are moving forward?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
I see what you did there, because is there.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
Some I mean, is there real concern about their schedule ahead?
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Why are you coming to Brady and I because we
had Dallas.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
And that could have been ten dollars if I was you.
But yes, yeah, I'm actually gonna.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
Side with with Jonas on this one. I do got
to feel like that was kind of shots five.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
I'm sorry, yeah, I mean it would have been had
to been double barrel because's two of y'all bang, double
barrel bang bang.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
I mean we're three games in the season, guys. Yeah,
we uh. I'm not saying, I'm just saying, is it definitive?
Are you confident they're two and one? I get it,
I'm not panicking.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
I think every single year you can usually point to
one game where you're like, what the hell was that
from one of the best teams in the NFL, And
you know that was it last week I think for
the Dallas Cowboys in a bunch of different ways.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
So look, they're seven point.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Favorite and and Brian Schttenheimer's worried about him getting sick.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Did you see Bill O'Brien's response by the way.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
I'd love I'd love to hear this.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
Bill O'Brien said, because Brian Schottenheimer and he may have
been joking and said, well, you know, they're definitely gonna
be interrogating Will Greer and Isekiel Elliott, et cetera, et cetera.
It's a Bill O'Brien says. It comes down to players
on the field and the coaches putting the players in
the right positions to make plays. And that's what we're
trying to do. I don't think we're trying to hold
a light over anybody and say tell me what you
did on July twentieth of twenty twenty three. We're not
(08:12):
doing that. We're not interrogating anybody. We're just trying to
put together the best game plan we possibly.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Can can can I be honest to like players would
be apprehensive about giving up certain information because they were like,
they didn't want to be a player that just got
cut and signed because they knew stuff, and they'd tell
stuff and sell out of their teams because that kind
of stuff gets around too.
Speaker 6 (08:33):
But to your point, players dude, like, oh, Claires definitely do.
And I went to New York, I still had my
I still had my Greg Williams playbook on yeah you
did and why they and while you know, Dale Lindsey
tried to be a dickhead.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
YA might want to. You might want to. You might
want to, we can't. Yeah, might want to stump that.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
You can't say that on the air.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
You might want to dump that. But I wanted to
say it, and I said it. So that's just how
it was feeling. I basically said I couldn't understand it
when I was in in Washington, like, yes, I did.
I chill out. I went to three Pro Bowls under
three different defensive coordinators. That's that's really hard. Yeah, right,
So when I gave us when I sat down with
(09:15):
our offensive staff, I sat down with our offensive staff.
I went over our our checks, like when they when
they get to the line, here is what they're going
to say, and this is this is you know, this
is what they're going to say when they give the
offensive line what the.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Snap count is.
Speaker 6 (09:32):
I gave the checks for the defense, like this is
what they checked to when they when they hear you audible,
this is what they checked too.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
They're going into his own coverage. It's going to be
most likely old out. Huh. Now, I didn't sell them out.
I had no loyalties to to that. That's true.
Speaker 5 (09:50):
And that's, by the way, that's why I think a
lot of players feel it's like, well, dude, they cut me,
So I don't give a crap. I don't care if
they're upset that I'm giving up all their information or
I have their playbook.
Speaker 6 (09:59):
That I would have thought about that for for we
parted ways the way that we did.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
And the difference is back then, like you actually had
physical playbooks like you could you could literally take out
all this stuff of your playbook.
Speaker 6 (10:13):
Now a notebook, here's here's the plays like here it is.
Now the iPads, that's a whole lot. They's a lot different.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
What did you get?
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Do you guys have three ring binders like traffic keepers?
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Yes? But yeah traffic keepers. I look, you have with
the little kitty on the front.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
But now they have iPads, And so what they try
to do is they'll just take the iPad from the player.
What quarterbacks usually do is you walk in and I
used to do this day one whenever they try to
give me iPad, It's say, you know, I really like
writing down notes and having like you know, some tangible,
physical playbook, Could you mind.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Printing one off for me?
Speaker 5 (10:47):
And so they would have to have someone literally print
one off specifically for me because I was an a
hole when really if I like, I didn't get cut
to all seven years in the league. When I sent
that three wing back, there was no pages in between.
It was just an empty binder like you'd buy off
a shelf at Target.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Heisted them. Of course I kept a books. Yeah, I
did too, even since college.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
You know, because now you're trying to run that with
some high school kids, they're like, what the hell's going on?
Speaker 6 (11:18):
Exactly exactly, That's exactly what the idea of it was
as a coach.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
So this wasn't the first allegation of potential having an
advantage for the Patriots that was being discussed yesterday because
a couple of well, one's a hall of famer, one's
going to be a Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger and
Jerome Bettis, we're talking about the Patriots. Yeah, the Football
Room Footballing with Ben Roethlisberger podcast, and they brought up
(11:46):
a situation that took place back in two thousand and
four in a playoff game to where they feel like
the Patriots, much like maybe Brian Schottenheimer thinks and some
of other others have alluded to and been proven to
be true, had a little bit of anvantage, but it
wasn't so much on the up and off.
Speaker 7 (12:06):
They're not even a question mark. They're not even a
question in my mind. It was fourth and one. It
was fourth and one. They called time out. First of all,
coach did this back in the day. This meant counter
They saw this. Coach called it office line. Coach did
that on the sideline they called time out. Who normally
(12:31):
goes to the sideline on time out? The defensive captains, right,
They told the noseguard Washington, They pulled him to the sideline,
big four hundred pounds guy. He don't want to go
to the sideline and come what he want to go
to the sideline for? They yell and made him go,
And I always thought that what are you going to say?
He would always the sideline.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
Came back. Then we want to play. He loops into
the hole.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Washington?
Speaker 7 (13:00):
Does they stop us on fourth down? Right, that's a
critical play in the game. They had our signs and
they called a time out to get them ready for
that play because they knew it was coming, no question.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
In my mind.
Speaker 7 (13:19):
I remember vividly because out thought, why is this big dude,
Why this big dude going to the sideline?
Speaker 2 (13:25):
So that was Ben Roethlisberger and Jerome bettis rehashing a
game from almost twenty years ago. They can't get over.
Speaker 6 (13:31):
So there was why is this big mother lover going
to the sideline?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
I mean, unless they were taping practice. Is it not
outside the realm of possibility that you're watching game film
to get ready for something and you notice a coach
on the sideline every time he does.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
This kid game film dude.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
TV copies you see it, you hear it, Like we
used to scour through our own TV copies to hear
what are you with the audio nowadays?
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Especially on Fox?
Speaker 5 (13:58):
My god there, I mean the audio amazing, the pads
crack and everything.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
But you would you would comb.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Back through to say, like, our cadence are code words
like what did we say that you're you easily can hear?
And what do we need to change for this week?
And we would have three to four different plays for
a specific run to the right. I mean that's just
that's just how you do it. And you'd have like
various categories depending on the type of run that it was.
(14:27):
You'd have like a state, you'd have a boy name,
girl name, like whatever it was. You'd have all these
different ways of being able to getting to the call
that you wanted in these various categories, especially in no huddle,
but even signals like I mean, the defenses are always
you know, privy or or like, are always concerned about
them getting their signals because of the way they signal them
(14:47):
in and stuff. But offensively, like outside of being able
to give in your personnel groupings, which doesn't matter because
the defense is going to see it, that's not really
much you're you're getting because you're always coaching the quarterback.
So I'm not exactly sure, Like again, unless they're a
filming practice, what was off limits at that point.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
In time, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (15:08):
I thought it was interesting, you know, back and forth
in banter, because my whole thing is, if you're thinking
this way, and this is nothing new, obviously, this is
something that has existed for quite some time. I mean,
a player, you know, coaching staff could implement things that
(15:30):
throw off what's going on. I know Peyton Manning did
it with the Omaha. You know, at first people thought
they had a jump on when Peyton went with Omaha,
and then yeah, and then it.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Was turned in he turned it into something totally different.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
Well, by the way, New England is the first one
to start using that. New England this is back to
the two thousands.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Like the first.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Playbook I ever got in it coming from an four
Patriots team. Omaha was the call that we used to
go on a quick cadence like we Omaha blue go
like once once you heard that blue, the line more
firing out because the ball was coming up.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
So Peyton Manning stole that from the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (16:10):
I don't know if they stole it, but I don't
remember hearing Peyton said that early in the Colts. I
remember hearing, you know, obviously New England saying it and
they're like two thousand and one two that was there,
that was their quick cadence. I'm not sure, maybe it
means something different for him, but it seemed like it
was part of the cadence there, and I just remember
New England saying it first.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
I just I remember.
Speaker 6 (16:33):
Hearing the scouting reports on Peyton Manning using Omaha and
and just getting getting those those type of deals or
getting that type of information, and he changed it like
he was saying it anyway, like just to throw people off.
I think the point, the point I'm making is you
(16:54):
don't have to stay married to what former players or
previous players may know about what the characteristics of what
you may do to audible or what you may you know,
what what they may say in those those certain scenarios.
So I mean, that's that's you know, and that's up
to coaches being aware, like, Okay, they have Ezekiel Elliott.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
We've had Ezekiel.
Speaker 6 (17:17):
Elliott for a really long time, so he's going to
have some information that that we we should be thinking about.
That's a part of game planning. I mean, that's just
a part of it. It's not new so to me.
If if you're if you're lazy in your approach or
I don't want to say lazy, if you're confident enough
in your approach that what you do is going to
(17:40):
work regardless of what a player may may know, then
you you, I guess you maintain what you do. But
if you want to put some alterations in there that
you know, okay, if a defense is coming in because
Ezekiel Elliott gave them, or like I said, when I
gave our offense, you know, tendencies and stuff like that. Greg,
you know, Greg Williams would have I'm certain he would
(18:02):
have been aware of the fact that I had all
kinds of motivation for us to beat Washington. And and
and whether you think I was smart enough to know
a playbook or not, you should be maybe aware enough
to say, he probably knows our checks. So let's change
our checks. Don't patch your head when it's Tampa two,
you know, don't do that. Don't don't do this when
(18:25):
it's a blitz like play it, play it. Don't don't
do this when it's a play at play it.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
It's the same as our show, like we could hand
some you know, random three people are rundown. They can't
do it like us. Though they get everything, they can't
do it like us.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
I mean, that's that's all. What I've always thought was
kind of blown out of proportion. Is like, in real time,
you're gonna see something trying to adjust. It's just it's
so hard to be able to ultimately execute on what
they're seeing in real time and take advantage of it.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
I always feel like it's gotten overblown. Yeah, well, but
our rundown.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Man fire, it is too a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox
with you here. All right, So coming up next here
from the tire rack dot Com Studios, there's a player
in the NFL that could be putting together the most
magical season of anybody, and we'll tell you who that
(19:16):
is right here on FSR.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up less than twenty minutes from now. It is a
Wednesday tradition. It is our midweek awards, the good, the bad,
and the ugly. We will hand those out for you again,
coming up twenty minutes from now from the tire rack
dot Com Studios. Well, one of the field good stories
in the NFL this season has been the performance of
(19:55):
Josh Dobbs, a guy who's been on like six different
teams at one point during the course of his career,
He's been in the league like what seven six seven
years something like that. And Josh Dobbs was traded to
the Arizona Cardinals two weeks before the start of the
season and then thrust it into the starting lineup for
a team that everybody assumed was going full tank or
(20:17):
the quote unquote collapse for Caleb and instead they've played
their ass off. Josh Dobbs got his first career win
as a starter this past weekend against Levar's Dallas Cowboys.
And yet he goes to the team store, not only
can he not find his jersey for sale, he can't
even get it customized. It's not even an option to
get Dobbs customized in the Cardinals team store. He went
(20:40):
to social media. They have since rectified that and now
you can get a Josh Dobbs jersey if you feel
inclined to do so. For one of the feel good stories,
maybe this year's Geno Smith potentially with the way that
he's played thus far, and it's awesome to watch.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
Yeah, I mean early on, that's a bit of high praise,
you know, split through for what over four thousand yards
last year.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
We'll changed to take next week.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
I'm not I'm not sure we're quite there yet. But no,
Dobbs has played phenomenal given the circumstances, getting traded to
a team so soon before the season, and then you know,
hearing that he was going to start him like, no way. Now,
the young man is super smart. I think he's still.
I think he was like starting start going to be
an astronaut or something put in his back at Tennessee.
(21:26):
So super super smart guy. If anyone could handle it,
he could. But just give them the circumstances of not
being able to practice with these guys much, not being
able to play with the guys much, and then going
out there and being as competitive as they are. And
I know a lot of people are probably like, dude,
they're one and two. What are you talking about? They
should be two and one. They gave up what a
twenty what was it? An eighteen twenty point lead one
(21:47):
of the Giants. Yeah, I mean, I mean they really
should have been able to close out that game. To me,
it wasn't on him for why they didn't. But that
being said, a tremendous story. I'm glad they finally got
his jersey. That's had been a little bit deflating things.
This is the NFL, right, and of course they have
issues like that.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
It must be cool to see your name on the
back of a jersey as a player, must be sweet.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
Come on, that happens in little league and you know
high school sometimes, and you know it happens. You've never
seen your name on the back of a jersey.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
No, God, no, not at our high school. We didn't
even have matching road and home jerseys. Like I had
a different number, I said.
Speaker 6 (22:30):
Some high schools, Now, I don't. I don't think that
that's very common. You're not going to see it. It's
not common to see it, but it does. It does
happen from here, and you know it depends on the school.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Yeah, I mean, how do you feel about him taking
a swipe at your guy MICHAEH. Parsons though, on TikTok,
Parsons was talking about how he's got you know.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
Throwing throwing darts at him.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Yeah, and so Josh Stobbs went on TikTok and I
was acting like he was dodging.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Darts, dodging dart.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
What do you think about that?
Speaker 3 (23:00):
They won? It's all in fun.
Speaker 6 (23:02):
I mean when that's I mean, to me, that's part
of sports, right If you if you do something one
way and you come out on the other side of it,
and you didn't come out on top on the other
side of it, then the people who came out on
top have have the right to respond the way that
they want to respond. Makes it fun sometimes, you know,
(23:23):
especially when you're a Michael Parsons. I mean, people are
going to take swipes or or take take shots. He's popular,
he's he's the man right now.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
So yeah, by the way, see that I did look
this up. Dobbs majored in aerospace engineering during his time
at the University of Tennessee.
Speaker 5 (23:41):
Yeah, I told you, dude, I wouldn't lie about like
he's stuff super smart, like super super brainiac type dude.
So again, if if that's the hardest thing, like you
get to a new system, and I don't know how
much familiarity he had with Arizona's offensive system. I mean,
he's That's the one thing you can say about being
around a teams is you play in so many different
(24:02):
offenses there you're like, yeah, I don't care what it's called.
That's like the that's the easy part is I just
got to remember what it's called in this system. I
know what concepts are gonna work versus what, and I
just got to make sure I know in this offense
what that concepts called. It's all the same stuff, like
it really, it's all the same stuff. There's some minute
details that you're going to change and tweak as far
(24:25):
as your dropbacks, your timing and what maybe they're asking
the wide receiver to do and all that.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
But for the most ball, football's football.
Speaker 5 (24:32):
Right, Like, if you want to be cover three, you've
got multiple different concepts you can go to and it's
all the same. It's just it's called some different So
it's always about speaking that different language. And he clearly
has been able to pick up on it really fast,
which is super impressive.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Thirty five to win Comeback Player of the Year. Josh
Stobbs on DraftKings. You know, I mean he.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Stated his way though, because there's a couple like bigger
names right.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Lower, Well it has been someone plays.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Yeah, he was a healthy he was a healthy and
active last week. Right.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
If some way, somehow, when he makes it back onto
the field, he will become the biggest story and they'll
talk about his comeback and getting onto the field.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
No, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
It's like he's he was a healthy scratch last week,
like he's he's back.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
They're just not playing.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
I mean there's been a major shift in the odds
because he was a minus two fifty, so you get
a bet two fifty to one one hundred on DeMar
Hamlin and now he's a minus one oh five, So
two a Tagoba Lowe is creeping up on him.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Jesus keeps this up. Yeah, Two is balling.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
W comeback Player of the Year at MVP in the
same year.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
I don't think they'll give him both though. You know
how the NFL is, They like to share.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
I mean it's a feel.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
Good story sharing, sharing his carriag.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
Yeah, come on, man, all the criticism to it took.
I mean, as of right now, two is the MVP
of the league. Yeah, and I don't think it's close.
And then there I also saw the Offensive Player of
the Year. The two leaders right now are justin Jefferson
and Tyreek Hill. It's got to be Tyreek Hill.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Right, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (26:04):
Jefferson's been awesomer. He leads the league in yards, He's
averaging on hundred fifty yards a game.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Almost right, now, Yeah, well you just you don't look.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
At them that way because they're owning three instead of
three and oh like tyre killing the Dolphins.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Yeah, they also leave the league in fumbles. Do the
Minnesota Vikings. That's a problem. They fumbled the wall a lot.
I mean, whatever happened to three points of pressure? You
know on the football?
Speaker 3 (26:26):
I mean someone say four point tight? Yeah, yeah, something
else say four points of pressure.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
I was always a six points of pressure.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
It's kind of like, you know what happened to with that?
Speaker 5 (26:34):
By the way, to your point, I think the old
school way, like back when you know, LeVar and I
were in high school playing, they used to say three
points like that or they'd say that to you, and
then it was almost like remember when there's like eight
minute abs and then some guy was like I could
do this in seven seven minute abs, and then something
else comes out at another infrom like six minute.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
It was like that.
Speaker 5 (26:52):
With ball security, they're like, no, no, no, no, we use
this meth called the four points of pressure.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
And everyone's like, oh my god, are you serious. How
do you get four? Oh? Okay, that's how you get
four points of pressure. You know.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
The next thing, you know, like five points of pressure,
how you hold the football?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
You know.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
The first workout book I ever bought it was called
the ten Minute Chess Builder, I swear to God, and
it was awesome.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Yeah. But and a month later, the nine Minute Chess
Builder came out.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Yeah, and I felt like it was totally out. It
was like the new iPhone back in the day, exactly
felt like it.
Speaker 5 (27:23):
Bro, You're on that ten minute plan on over that
nine minute the same games.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
So there it is. That is your coverage of the
Arizona car does thus far in twenty twenty three.
Speaker 3 (27:34):

Come on, Jonas, It's like one of the most legendary
songs ever.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Yeah, I mean come on, like, huh ho? What are
they saying there?
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Who knows?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Let's go.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
Right.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
There's gotta be a lyric rundown on this song somewhere.
I just want to know what they're saying there when
they're chanting whatever.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
It is so stupid.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
This song stinks. Two pros and a cup of Joe here.

executive producer, lead to lat By the way, did you
find out the lyrics on that? According to the Google
machine from what I could find? And this is the
official song.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Let's go, Let's go. I knew it.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
HM, got that right?
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Something about it interesting?
Speaker 2 (31:16):
Might be an Italian though I don't. No, Well, that's
pretty h Yeah. Let's move on, all right, As we
do each and every Wednesday, we start with the good
and this week, LeVar, you have the privilege, Yeah, you.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
Know my good This week comes a little bit off
of the beating path, but is nonetheless kind of sports
related my former teammate, John Gilmore tight End. We were
we were together at Penn State. He played for the
Chicago Bears, played for the New Orleans Saints. We were
back at the white out game. They're traveling back to
(31:51):
get home, him and his girlfriend and his son. His
son's on recruiting visit, and a dude starts choking in
the airport, like to death's choking, and John's girlfriend like
got it out, got got whatever it was, dislodged out
of his throat, and got him breathing again and saved
(32:14):
the dude's life in a Philly airport.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
That's awesome, very good.
Speaker 6 (32:18):
That the guy could have passed away, was turning blue
from from the reports of the accounts given, and she
got him breathing before the emergency medical response team got
to him.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
So that was good.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
And shouts out to the VET for jumping into action,
doctor Evet, by the way, for jumping into action so
quickly and saving.
Speaker 3 (32:41):
That that man's life. Yeah, that was awesome, great work. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
there you go.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
You know, see, not everything bad happens in an airport,
you know, Yeah, you're right, just just a few things.
It pays not to be hostile in airports.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
That's right, don't be hostile. Yeah, say the life, that'll
be ten dollars.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Oh, come on, what else you will? Fellas? That was good,
But you can't have good without the bad. Brady, what
was bad this week?
Speaker 5 (33:11):
I mean, I think there's an obvious one out there
for me voice, and uh, it's gonna be trying to
play a critical moment in a football game with ten players. Yeah,
that's that's probably as bad as it gets. That's when
you don't get over. But I'm gonna pick something else.
All right, I'm gonna pick something else. I'm gonna pick
on the fact that somehow the NFL has allowed this
(33:37):
whole Taylor Swift thing to completely take it by storm.
I mean, we had so many guys who are football
guys who tuned in just to watch either their Bears
or their Kansas City Chiefs, or maybe some of the
players on their fantasy team. That's all they wanted to
do was just watch football and get away from all
(33:58):
the bs, all that.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Blah that goes on.
Speaker 5 (34:03):
Okay about god knows what an entertainment and everything else
what was it again? Blah blah blah, Like no one
cares about Taylor Swift on Sundays.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Okay, it's it's football.
Speaker 5 (34:19):
That's all we care about is watching our team's kick
ass or get their ass kicked. I don't care whichever
one it is. Okay, do something, I just do so
it has to be football related, Okay. I don't care
if she was taken out in a popcorn machine. I
don't care that she was talking to Mama Kelsey. Okay,
the Kelsey family in the NFL is becoming royalty. Both
(34:40):
those young men are gonna be Hall of famers. They're
incredibly entertaining. Don't try to steal our show with your
touring Taylor Swift bs. Okay, I know that's gonna upset
a lot of Swifties out there, but I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
All right.
Speaker 5 (34:54):
We respect you and your concerts and all the stuff
that like Taylor Swift does going on. She's incredible at
what she does, and obviously she made a billion I
think she gross to whatever the number was for it, sewer,
but stop stepping into then our Sunday, our sacred place
that is the NFL and football.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Okay, let us have it.
Speaker 5 (35:14):
Just let us have this one thing before we start
trying to dominate everything else in the world.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
All right, that's all I ask.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
How would they feel of all of a sudden in
the parking lot before Taylor Swift concert we set up
bowling the ring. Probably didn't like.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
It very much. Bowl in the ring.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
Or we had Antonio Brown jump on stage and start
de roping.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
Which is probably actually possible at some point.
Speaker 6 (35:34):
Or man, there's a bunch of things and between each
song they just go up to the luxury box that
Travis Kelcey is sitting in, like jumping up and down, like,
oh my god, oh my god, Taylor Swift just performed
really well on that song. Now, oh my gosh, all
my high fiving people and stuff like that, Like you
don't want to go in between each song to see
Travis In fact, during the song.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
I mean, I'll take it a step further. Why don't
we do this but shoot everyone up with tordole. Let's
clear out every ticket in the pit, right, that's closest
up to the stage that the Taylor Swift concerts. Let's
just run nine on seven, Yeah, nine on seven, all right,
We'll do nine on seven and then after that we'll
have one on one drills between offensive linemen and then
and obviously the defensive lineman.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
How do we do that? Then? Is going on at
the concerts going on? I think that that is phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
That's brilliant. Oh man, I'm so glad somebody said it.
I'm tired of this crap. I'm so fat up with it.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
And that's still getting milk.
Speaker 5 (36:31):
By the way, Jesus, Like now they're comparing their real
estate holdings.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
I'm like, is this what people care about? Like, no, no, wonder, like,
there's this stuff going to crap right now. I almost cussed.
I almost pull a LeVar.
Speaker 6 (36:46):
Yeah, it happens because we purpose. I didn't slip. I
just was just that's where I was at in that moment.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Well, guys, that was pretty bad, But uh, let's see
if we could get much worse than that.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Jonas, what was ugly this week? Oh well, I mean,
don't listen to me. Listen to the Bras Radio network
for that. Swung on a fly ball George Rank center field,
Suzuki over to his right with root.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
He dropped it.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
He dropped the ball, two run score.
Speaker 5 (37:12):
Oh he was right there and Suzuki lost it.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
What a break for the Braids.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
And they have the lead.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Unbelievable Cubs with a one game lead in the playoff race.
There's five games left to go, They've got a lead,
a six to nothing lead. They get to the eighth inning,
they're about to get out of a jam, and say,
is Zuzuki completely whiffs on a fly ball. This is
like Brett Brown back in the day. This is like Bartman.
I mean, you know, Leon Durham, I mean, this is
(37:43):
just another of long history of the Cubs and their
disastrous issues when it comes to clutch performances and clutch moments.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
Do you really think the Cubs are gonna be able
to win a World Series?
Speaker 2 (37:53):
No, but I'd like to see when the playoffs. For
God's sakes, they should be in the playoffs. They were
running away with this thing and now they've turned into
a craw bag down the final month of the season.
Speaker 5 (38:02):
Well that's just because you're a Chicago sports fan and
you live in this sort of misery.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Now listen called down the Middle. No interest on either side.
Just feel bad for Cubs fans.
Speaker 6 (38:12):
Don't be one of them.
