So we talked about the Jets loss to the Chiefs
on Sunday Night Football and all the other fun stuff
that came along with that. As far as the coverage
(01:22):
of it went. And then we move over to the
other two. A couple of other teams playing in the
AFC East, and that would be the Bills and the Dolphins,
and of course the Patriots got blown out by the
Dallas Cowboys as well too. It feels like yesterday Buffalo
kind of made a statement that, yeah, we're still the
(01:43):
goods in this division because that game against Miami it
looked like it was going to be competitive like last
year's games were. And then Josh Allen and company stepped
on the gas and have recovered nicely from that opening
night loss to the Jets that saw Zach Wilson in
place of Aaron Rodgers and a time loss on a
on a special teams play and inability to close it
(02:04):
out late. It feels like Buffalo's really made some strides
there since that Week one performance.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
I mean, they're the top of the division right now,
are they not.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Yes, I mean the way Miami looked last week, the
way I mean the Bill's defense wasn't a full strength,
and the way they've made the Dolphins offense look and
I think the flip side too, the Buffalo is just
a more complete team and if they bring the type
of physicality they they've brought the past couple of weeks,
and they've got you know, balance on offense, and they
(02:32):
can play defensively like that, controlling a line of scrimmage.
Speaker 5 (02:35):
They're not really missing much.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
And if you looked at the rest of AFC, Kansas
City is still winning. They still got that combination of
you know, Mahomes and Reed and Kelsey, and the defense
has played better.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
But Cincinnati's out.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
I mean, I have a hard time believe they're gonna
be able to overcome what's happened.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
My Super Bowl pick. It's not like it's so good
right now.
Speaker 6 (02:57):
So it's it's like if you if you really start
looking at the AFC and how you know, muddy, it
kind of maybe looked because of all the great quarterbacks.
We're about what a quarterway in the season. I think
we've got a good idea of who's in who's out.
And the Bills are definitely one of the top teams
up there next to Kansas City still and they've proven that.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
Now if you had any.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Doubts about it over the past two weeks, you know
what was proven to me that Stefan Diggs is angst
and anger and being upset may have been heard, may
have been validated yesterday, Just what a Keishaan Johnson's book,
What did it say? Just get me the damn ball? Yeah,
(03:39):
just just get Stefan Diggs the damn ball. Let him,
let him cook. And and you know what, shots out,
uh to to the offensive staff, to to the QB,
Shots out to everybody who who heard that that cry
and saw that anger. I mean, if you're going to
be the type of guy who's as fire and as
(04:02):
adamant about what you believe in and what you want,
then you had better deliver. Like you mentioned Charlo going
into the to the break of the end of the hour.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
You can't talk like that dude talks.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
And then go out and put what he put on
film on film, Like you can't do that, Like it
doesn't work out that way, because that's like the crywolf scenario, Like, Yeah,
nobody's ever going to listen to you and what you
have to say ever again, like, don't ever think that
you're going to sell yourself or a fight based off
of you talking. And for a moment in time, we
(04:38):
try to figure out, like what exactly is wrong with
Stephan Diggs, like, why is he so upset? It's carrying
over into the new year, this, that and the other.
And you know, I just think that you saw yesterday
what he's been fighting for, what he's been screaming about,
or what he's been uncomfortable. Just Bill to just build
(05:00):
the damn offense around getting me the ball and I'll
do the rest. And and he did it in the
biggest game of their year, of the year so far.
I mean, I thought, after what they did to Miami,
did to Denver last week, it could have been a
tab that misleading because Denver isn't that good of a team.
I mean, they struggled to beat Chicago, sorry Jonas, but
they did uh.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
Not not not struggle like they had to come back.
You can make the case that Chicago probably more gave.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Away that gave away the game. So I'm not going
to say I took away too much from the spanking
that they gave Denver. Almost could have been actually in
a way, could have been a little misleading in in
some some ways. But nonetheless, Tua is the hottest football player,
(05:47):
considered the hottest football player, and oh man and and
then everybody talking about slowing down Waddle and and and
the Cheetah and they did. And you know, everybody came
out of that game talking about did they show the
blueprint as to how you beat the Miami Dolphins. I
would say no, but yeah, but still you got to
(06:09):
have the personnel to do it. But I mean give
credit to the Bills. I would not have seen the
Bills having that decisive like I could. I could see
them winning, but I didn't think that they would be
as decisive in their victory as they were, and I
mean as impressive as as Stefan Diggs was in the
Gang Decisive.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
It was decisive. I mean, I mean I thought it
was decisive. It was decisive.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Right.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
THEUS White injuries bad though, that's that's a tough break
for the Bills on defense. And you know, the card
it off right, they carded the achilles. I haven't seen
if it's confirmed as of yet, but that was the
expectation that you know, he did his achilles and it
was one of those things where he seemed like you've
heard people talk about where they say when that happens,
(06:57):
it feels like somebody kicked you, and you could what
they said, Well, yeah, that's what I've heard just in
talking to it.
Speaker 5 (07:03):
It does feel like you've been like hit, kick kicked
all the time. Jonas, does it feel like again.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Like he get kicked. Yeah, Yeah, that's what it feels like.
And you could tell. You could tell on that replay.
You could tell on that replay that he turned around
and was looking for somebody.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
Did you talk about that on TV last week? You
got kicked?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, he got kicked.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
You talked about that kick on TV.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
We talked about you know, you've worked with someone long enough,
you just can anticipate and you know exactly what they're
gonna say and do, And like.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
I feel like that's where Jonas and I am.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
We're like just I've heard him talking about achilles injuries
like that so many times, and.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
What makes me laugh is like the bar you tore
your achilles.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Like you better than anyone else could probably describe how
it feels.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
But Jonas likes to go into this explanation. It feels
like kicked that I said.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I didn't say experienced it. I just said I heard it.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah, Jonas, Yeah, the funniest. My little bros are are
the best. I think you guys are the best. Somebody
would say something to me, and I was like, man,
to know my dudes is to love my dudes. Man,
Like I think you got fun. Oh they were just
you know, they were just like you know, hey, whatever.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
Hair and there.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
You know, you just get people like that try to
take shots and it's like, nah, we're all good, man,
We're definitely all good, like all good, like not even
some good, like we're like extra credit good.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
I don't know this is going yeah no, no, no,
that was it. That was it.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Yeah, that was it. I wasn't going to go any
further than I wasn't going to be the sample collector,
you know, deal like like we're that all good.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Like, you know, I mean, yeah, can we talk about
the pots we should?
Speaker 5 (08:51):
Is it? I mean? Can we say he's on the
hot seat yet? Can we say the seat is hot yet?
Can I can I feel? Can I peel back some turkey?
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Please?
Speaker 7 (08:59):
Do so?
Speaker 6 (09:01):
I've been at a debate with like, there's this whole
analytical debate that I've been on in our show with
Bear about like when teams are down fourteen score a touchdown?
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Do you do you go for two? You kick the pat?
Speaker 6 (09:17):
And I'm like, look, every single coach I've talked doing
the NFL understands the analytics and that you go for two.
And it's if you really want to get into the
deep dive into the math, you basically calculate what's called
the expected outcome and how you'd go about calculating it.
If you're trying to win the game, if you believe,
based on your stats and analytics, you have a greater
than fifty percent chance of converting the two point conversion,
(09:40):
you would go for two every single time, because when
you get two tries at a two point conversion, your
expected outcome is gonna be greater than that, obviously than
if you go for a pat. And the reason in
saying that is at a minimum, you're you're gonna be
if you get the two scores, you're gonna be tied
going in the overtime. On the upside portion of that,
(10:01):
you can win the game in regulation.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
And so over the.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Past couple of weeks, he's like, well, look at this
guy like Bill Belichick.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
He didn't do it. I go, well, Bill Belichick.
Speaker 6 (10:10):
Also just kicked for a field goal down thirty five, Like,
explain to me the logic.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
There and the analytics there.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
Well, maybe he didn't want it to be his worst
beat that he's ever I have no idea, but it's
just funny to me, Like there's there's by the way,
like Bears like a very analytical guy. So it's funny
to me when you get like people who are who
are around analytics the pick and choose when they want.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
It to support their argument. I'm like, look it, it's math.
It's not like my opinion.
Speaker 7 (10:37):
It's math.
Speaker 6 (10:37):
And every single person I've talked to in the league
that looks at it this way. Now, I can't make
any sense of the beat down the Patriots took outside
of the fact that they just don't have the horse power.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
You know, Judan got hurt too on defense.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
I think that player goes, well, yeah, maybe it was like,
y'all suck.
Speaker 7 (10:53):
I don't suck.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Listen, y'all could say a lot of things suck. You
know what doesn't suck me? I don't suck'mat right, y'all,
y'all suck. Kicked the field goal.
Speaker 6 (11:04):
And there's a lot of people who are who had
that whole debate between him and Tom Brady and they
feel like maybe it's that debate's.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Over and jud got was it a bicep.
Speaker 6 (11:15):
Chwards biceps tend in which you know he's gonna have
to you know, I've heard different things about whether guys
can play with it or not, but it sounds like
he's going to miss some time.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
I've heard it feels like you get kicked in your arm.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
Oh does that happen very often?
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Yeah, that's what it feels like when you suffer an
injury like that. Yeah, and Mac Jones got benched for
Bailey's appy, so you know, of course.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
Well Belichick said afterwards, didn't get benched. He just said
there's no point of him being out there.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
So well, I could be being even due to potential injury,
that he's the start.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Of the rest of the season, due to potential poor play,
there was no reason for him to still be out there.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Imagine if our boss said that to us, like, yeah,
there's no reason for you guys to be on the
air tomorrow. It's okay. It feels like we got benched.
You know, it feels like that's a problem. But look,
and I know people are gonna do the whole well,
you know, this is you know, an indictment of Belichick.
And now this looks like Tom Brady's won that debate
and all that. I just you know, fair point, I
(12:18):
got it. But you know, he did take him to
the playoffs the first year, and they got blown away
by Buffalo in that game, but it still counts as
a playoff spot for Belichick. So yeah, there is some
optimism there for New England. And then Dallas and that
defense man they like, they just they get a hold
of the football and they're thinking score every single time.
(12:39):
And then you know you've got Mike McCarthy and company
faking an extra point to score for two early on
in that game. That was just a disastrous performance for
Bill Belichick, and you made mention of it, Brady the
worst loss in the history of his career.
Speaker 5 (12:55):
Tom I was mentioned of a hot seat. Does the
seat heat up? Does it?
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Is it warming up? I know y'all said he's sitting
on a glacier. Does the seat is the glacier sitting
on melting down? Is it melting down?
Speaker 5 (13:09):
I just I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
I think he's gotten too much equity built up with
Robert Kraft.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
I don't think you're ever gonna hear him get fired.
I just don't like how it would be worded if
they wanted to, would be he would you know, say, hey,
we've agreed to go our separate ways or step down.
You know what I'm saying, Like, I just I don't
think it's gonna be like, hey, it's you know, black Monday,
and Bill Belichick is out according to Robert Craft.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
You know it's not.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Gonna be Okay, let me ask you guys a question.
If you if Belichick, for whatever reason, they decided that
they wanted to move on from Belichick, he gets hired
immediately by somebody else, right, I know.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
He's still coaching.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Yeah, like if you wanted to still coach, but Robert
Craft said, we got to go in a different direction.
It's time for you know, new new set of eyes
to look at this whole thing and can control everything.
If Belichick still wanted to coach, he'd get hired, correct,
I think so hit Es Well, No, I just because
I wonder if people look at it and go, well,
this is his only spot and without Brady.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
If Bill Belichick didn't get hired after leaving the parting Boston,
there's no hope for humanity.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Okay, So then do you.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Know how many people that man has elevated during the
course of his career? Like somebody out there, there's more
than enough people out there that would hire Bill Belichick
and hire like, name your position, coach, Like what do
you want to do?
Speaker 5 (14:38):
Whatever you want? Yeah, whatever you want to do. Now.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
That's He definitely has that type of equity around the
league and with you know, with coaches around the league
and decision makers.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Do they finish behind the Jets this year? The Patriots?
Speaker 6 (14:57):
It's hard to think they finished behind him, only because
they've already beaten them head to head and I think
they seem to be able to match up pretty well
with Zach Wilson. So probably not, is the answer to that.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Okay, well listen, that'll that'll wrap up our.
Speaker 6 (15:15):
Although you know I've heard though losing to the Jets,
if your Bill Belichick feels like you get kicked.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
I was just gonna say that, Hey, you know what
up here, babe.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
One more time over time? That was a very good
one more jump out? Oh yeah, I went up there. Yeah,
y'all got.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Up break my hand, damn it. It is two pros
and a cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn Jonas. Now don't you coming up
coming up next? Though? Right, when you thought we've seen
everything with one team in the NFL, they figure out
a way to take an even worse turn. We'll get
(15:56):
into the details on that for you here on FSR.
Speaker 8 (16:00):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Oh wow, Yeah, you gotta wait for it. Gotta let
a kick in. Oh wow, how about that? You guys
know what band this is? I gotta ask you before
the is it?
Speaker 5 (16:32):
Are they called punch a hole in your drywall?
Speaker 2 (16:35):
No, it's not all right, it's actually Limp Biscuit.
Speaker 5 (16:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I was about to say Limp really yeah, good, guess
this is all over it?
Speaker 5 (16:42):
Yeah, I wasn't going to say that.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
West Borland underrated guitarists doesn't get a lot of credit
a little something. No he's not, okay, no relations Moreland
County from Home Improvement. All right, so it is Two
Pros and Cup of Joe. Well, sound Sam, you are.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
Shohnny on the spot.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
It's unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
That is incredible, by way fast man.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
By the way. Sam, during the break, he just kept
repeating over and over again. He kept calling Eddie Garcia, Ready, Garcia,
like just non stop to Finally, Eddie just looked and said, Okay,
look like we acknowledged the pun.
Speaker 9 (17:25):
I get it a little bit. It's I'm getting back
in my Monday Greve.
Speaker 10 (17:30):
Here we acknowledged Eddie is the adult in the room,
or ready is the adulting room.
Speaker 9 (17:36):
I call him ready because he's wearing all red for
his fres Ready, So he's ready Garcia, and he's ready
at the he's ready to do.
Speaker 11 (17:45):
He is the adult in the room for our Showow wow,
that is really sad, but.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
I think it's a good thing, Eddie. Like you're the
voice of reason, Like you're like the voice of God.
You come in and you're like, no, gentlemen, this is
what we need to think.
Speaker 5 (17:59):
They're so disappointed enough, and to our updates.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
We're just I appreciate the appreciate it. We're just we're
in the kitchen and we're looking at whatever. You know,
Lee's eating something. We're looking at just what he's got cooking.
And Sam just open over again with like in a
forty five second span and said ready Garcia like three times.
Speaker 11 (18:21):
There was literally no way we couldn't hear him, and
yet he kept acting like we couldn't hear him the future.
Speaker 7 (18:27):
He finally was like, Sam.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
We hear you.
Speaker 9 (18:33):
Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I'm a little losing it today.
That's all right in Inday morning.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Uh so we are going to have an FSR i
R coming up here in about twenty.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
The way the future.
Speaker 7 (18:48):
Is that even applicable?
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Have you guys seen the aviator where he just keeps
you having to.
Speaker 5 (18:52):
Ask what would have just ended had he not asked?
Speaker 9 (18:58):
But he just keeps repeating that over and over again.
Speaker 7 (19:08):
In the kitchen.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yes, exactly, That's why I played it. Oh man, Okay,
let's get it together here, all right. Congratulations to Sean
Payton and Russell Wilson Sean Payton's first win as a
Denver Broncos head coach. Congratulations, Just a job well done there,
(19:29):
big tough road environment there in Chicago. And on the
flip side of that, Brady Quinn, your Chicago Bears continue
to be the worst team in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (19:40):
Well, you know, I've got family in Monmouth, Illinois. So
that's how I became a lifelong Chicago Bears.
Speaker 7 (19:45):
What a coincidence.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
Not a lot of people know that.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
What a coincidence. I mean, we could start with, you know,
the fact that they had a twenty one point lead
and let that go. We could start with Chase Claypool,
who was critical of the coaching staff, was a healthy scratch.
He was told to stay home by the team, and
then Matt Ebraflus afterwards said, well, I don't know, he
(20:11):
had an open invite to stay on the sideline or
be at the game, which apparently was not the case.
The injuries all, I mean, there's there's all sorts of
stuff happening in Chicago, justin fields throwing the late pick
fumble in the second half. Oh, and then there's the
fact that they had a fourth down the game was
tied in a makeable field goal situation in the fourth quarter,
(20:35):
and so instead of you know, you would think.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Of the field goal, yeah, or they go fourth on
fourth and one, or.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
A quarterback sneak, but they line up in shotgun, they
give the ball to Khalil Herbert, he gets stopped, Denver
gets the ball back and kicks the eventual game winning
field goal. So Matt Ebraflus was asking was asked about
the decision on fourth down in that spot in the
fourth quarter. Here was his.
Speaker 12 (20:56):
Response, just because of them, we were running it and
it was it was it was a half a yard.
So I felt very confident about getting that right there.
And uh, you know, every situation is different. You know,
you got to look at the game and its entirety,
and I think that the way we were running the
football and the confidence that we had on offense in
that moment, I would say that, you know, we're gonna do.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
That right there.
Speaker 10 (21:19):
Yeah, we're gonna do that right there. And that's not
going to win you the ball game.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
Whatever that is.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
It's bad, man, And it's only getting worse, right, what
do you think you saw everything? It's only getting worse.
And Justin Fields had a hell of a first half.
But yeah, the late turnovers, the fumble, the interception, I
don't know what the plan is moving forward.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
She guys a question. Yeah, yeah, of course.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
Chicago is a really really big market, super big market.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Why is it that Justin Fields doesn't get as much
smoke as Zach Wilson.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
Aren't they pretty comparable? He has? Has he? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Yeah, Okay, I just didn't feel like, I feel like
Zach Wilson is like in a category all of his
own as to how much maligned he is all his
own bike.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
I just, I just I don't agree with that.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
I mean, Justin Fields has got a lot of a
lot of flat I mean, he was they contemplated taking
another quarterback instead of him before the season, they did,
and then ever since then, he's been like on a
week by week basis where they're grading every little thing
he does.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
Mind you, it's.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Not like he's worked with a lot around him, right,
I mean the offensive coordinator and his relationship that you
know came into question because of the how the media
portrayed his you know, post game comments, practice comments.
Speaker 5 (22:53):
Whenever it was a couple coaches ago. Yeah. So I
just it's he's definitely come under scrutiny a lot.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Okay, Yeah, okay, I mean I was curious because I just,
you know, needed some clarity on that.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
But well, even last week when they played Kansas City,
everyone made it about the fact that, you know, the
Bears decided to pass on Patrick Mahomes, which was a
little bit ironically because Mitchell Trubisky was in that draft class.
It wasn't Fields yet because Fields was the next quarterback
they decided to take that. They're kind of judging just
(23:28):
the Bears decision in general to ultimately pass.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
On Mahomes, so that also got thrown out there.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Look, the good news is what's the good news. They've
got the number one and number two pick in the
draft next year as the stands right now, because they
own Carolina's first. So I mean, we could be seeing
who knows what, Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Junior bang bang.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
I would imagine the second pick they trade out for
a boatload of picks.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
I would have magine.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Because I mean, now, whoever's at three might need a quarterback,
but there might be someone who's in another spot that's
willing to give up a king's ransom to get to two.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
So if they take KILEB.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Williams number one, knowing how most general managers operate, they
would rather move back down, allow someone to trade up,
give them more picks, and utilize it that way because
you're probably.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
Gonna get KILLB.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
Williams, Drake May and then from that standpoint, you can
maybe still stay in the top ten and still get
a big time player with plus whatever else you get.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
In that trade.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
It just feels like they gotta turn the page like that.
Here was the other part of that fourth down sequence
that didn't make any sense. So they lined up as
if they were going to go for it, and it
was to try and draw Denver off sides. So then
is the play clock wound down, they called time out,
and you would think, okay, well they called time out,
(24:57):
they tried it, They're gonna come out and kick the
field goal. Yeah, they go to the sideline and they
come out to go for it again, and this time
they line up in shotgun and hand the ball like
I just I don't I don't get it, Like I
really don't understand. I don't know what's so difficult. I mean,
even Brandon Staley and the Chargers they went for it
on fourth down again, and we can touch on whether
(25:19):
or not that was the right call again in that
game later on. But man, justin Herbert with you know,
the the Nintendo Power glove on his hand because his
finger almost fell off, He's like, you know, like a
QB sneak. It's like it's the easiest play call in
the world, and for whatever reason, they just line up
and shotgun and hand it off. To Herbert, which everybody.
Speaker 6 (25:39):
And the only the only problem with that play caff you.
If you want to go in shotgun, that's fine, but
incorporate Fields as part of it. You have one of
the best athletes at quarterback in the NFL, and you
can't run a quarterback running to go like forget to
sneak for a second, but like, he might be your
best running back and you can't incorporate him as part
(26:00):
of it when the game's on the line. I just like,
that's the hard thing for me when I hear criticism
of Justin Fields, I'm.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
Like, look at the play calling, Like, look at the
position they.
Speaker 13 (26:11):
Put themselves in Thompson, like they could kick the field
goal and who knows how the scenario plays out if
that's the case. But then if you're gonna go for it,
put it in the guy who's probably best suited to
go get you that extra yard and puts more pressure
on a defense. I mean, you'd tell me LeVar, if
you got an athletic quarterback like justin Fields, is that
not the toughest way to try to stop them on
(26:31):
short yardage?
Speaker 5 (26:32):
Well, I mean you saw what happened in the Chiefs game.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
They they didn't pay enough attention to the fact that
that man will step on you. He will step out
of the front door, come off of the porch and
run through the yard like you're right.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
I just I mean kind of give a side note.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Dan Campbell quote that might be the quote of the week,
all right.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
Someone asked him after.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
Their win about whether now they're considered the hunted not
the hunter, and his quote was, well, if someone's coming
to hunt us, they won't have to look very far.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
We'll be on their front porch.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Very well done.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
Is a lesson like that's one that I will tell
my kids, like my little girl's soccer team.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
You know, hey, we're five and oh girls, let me
tell you something. People think we're the hunted, all right,
We're not going to have to look very far.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Good.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
I love that he still embraces his inner mead heead
I love that and just lets it lets it rock
as a head coach of the Lions. But hey, listen,
must be nice. They're sitting atop the north and then
way way way down at the bottom are those Chicago Bears.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Well, listen, I mean Eddie Garcia, better known as Ready
he as an FSR I R. I'm here, reports Eddie.
What happened here? What's the problem?
Speaker 11 (30:03):
Well, a few days ago we had a gentleman come
out to fix the ice maker in our refrigerator. You know,
no Big Deally was there, maybe thirty minutes out the door.
Everything's fine. A couple days later, my wife asked me
to go get something out of the closet underneath our stairs,
and as I walked into the closet, I was like
I stepped on a giant sponge. We found out that
(30:26):
our closet was completely flooded, and when we pulled out
the refrigerator, we found out that a hose had not
been reconnected properly and was leaking water into our wall,
cabinets for and closet for two days.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
So they're gonna have to pay for that, right.
Speaker 11 (30:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah, they're gonna have to for that.
Speaker 7 (30:48):
But terrible, Yeah, that was fun.
Speaker 11 (30:52):
That was about midnight on Friday, and so we had
to call the folks to come out and bring in
these giant fans and do you humidifiers and rip all
the carpeting out and lots of fun stuff.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
So how long until that's fully repaired, everything taken.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (31:11):
The process hasn't even really started yet.
Speaker 11 (31:12):
As far as the oh my god, just a little
stupid thing.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
But sorry to hear that.
Speaker 7 (31:20):
Yeah, yeah, that's good.
Speaker 5 (31:22):
Even though they're going to like pay to fix it.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
It's such a like, it's such it feels like you're
so violated when somebody comes to fix something and they
make it worse.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
It's just like it's like, it's such a horrible feeling.
I feel violated from that. Yeah, I mean, of all
the ways of describing.
Speaker 13 (31:41):
At them interesting like I got I trusted you to
come in and fix my home and.
Speaker 5 (31:46):
You made it worse. Violation.
Speaker 7 (31:50):
I get where the bar is coming from. I get.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
I'm not saying like maybe the way you're.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
I'm but a violation would fall into the category of
like you go see your doctor and they're like, hey,
you need to.
Speaker 5 (32:05):
I got where you were.
Speaker 10 (32:06):
I certainly knew where you were at, and they're like,
yeah you do. If somebody, if you let somebody into
your home and they're there to fix something and and
and they mess it up, they mess mess it up
really bad, that's a violation, Like you feel violated violation
(32:28):
like a blow the whistle.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
See lead a lap On would have problem solved, would
have gotten that taken care of. That is true.
Speaker 5 (32:39):
Actually, Eddie, have you consulted with lead a lap On this?
Speaker 7 (32:42):
I have not. Do you recommend that?
Speaker 5 (32:45):
Well, he'll probably ask for some.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Booze half bottle of gym beam and you'll get anything
done in that house. Yeah, no problem?
Speaker 7 (32:55):
Yeah, Wow, okay, wow?
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Who else has got what?
Speaker 5 (33:00):
Lvar? You gotta got something you have? I mean, I
just I'm dealing with these migraines.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
So I finally am breaking down and go into the emergency.
Got a scheduled deal to go get a migraine drip
treatment and IVY bags. So it'd be interesting to see
how many bags I get because I know, I know
it's dehydration, like I can feel like my toes keep
cramping up, like I'm I'm a real cramper.
Speaker 5 (33:27):
Yeah. Yeah, it's kind of weird. So like there's no
amount of water and whatnot you can drink for that.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
No, nope, nope, can't catch up. Once I get behind,
it's like you're behind.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
Yeah, I mean you get Autumn.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
LeVar islands many they finally have caught up to me, man,
So I gotta I gotta reset.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Can always try some of that l m n T.
It's good stuff, man.
Speaker 5 (33:49):
That is great stuff. Yeah, I'm drinking it right now.
Are you so nice? I've doubled up the packets too.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
It'll get you right.
Speaker 5 (33:59):
Yeah, that's mine.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
I mean my head is still like kind of just
on on, you know. Yeah, it's just it's been giving
me some issues. So I just gotta go ahead and
nip it in the butt.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
I don't really have an IR story.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
I did have a mess up in the game where
I thought a dude's shoe was a flag.
Speaker 5 (34:18):
I swear to God, like, so.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
Najie Thompson for the Vikings and I want to say,
Nakill Harry. They both had these solid yellow shoes on
and there was a flag and I couldn't see exactly
where it was, but obviously up from the booth where
you're at, it's kind of high up and I'm looking down.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
I was like, is that it? And I was like, oh, no,
that's just a dude shoe. But like, yeah, sometimes that
happens in games, and you know that happened.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
You know, they weren't allowing guys to wear shoes like that.
When I was playing, and we were playing, and we
were playing in the meadow lands, and Jesse Armstead wore
a pair of yellow shoes like that. You know, he
was on our team for the Commanders.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
That's weird, command Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
And I kept feeling like I was seeing a flag
on the ground every time I'd see him, and he
flashed by man and be like, oh, they threw a flag.
Oh that's Jesse's shoes, right, So I actually experienced that
on the field.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
There you go, I'm not crazy, right, No, you're not crazy. No, No,
you're not crazy.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
I figured out that I'm soft.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
This we well, that's I mean, hello.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
God, all right, but here's here's why we want to
give us.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
Well, no, but here's I was really about to say
something really inappropriate, but I caught myself.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
So we took my son bowling on Friday afternoon, which,
by the way, bad idea to do if you're cutting
it close to nap time. Not when he wanted to.
He did not want to leave. We wanted to get
him out of it.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
But you make some like dadding decisions that if you
just consulted, I could have talked you off.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
That le she's too young for it.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
No, Well, so he's two and a half years old.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
Yeah, and he'll be able to bowl for about twenty minutes,
they'll be done.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Yeah, but he bowled a lot longer than that. He
loved it. He threw his first strikes two and a
half years and I literally got emotional. I'm like, don't
I don't know. I had no idea why. No, like
I was about to. I felt like I was about to.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
And maybe you thought of Kingpin, you thought of his future. Yeah,
the bowling industry.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
I'm like, oh my god, I don't have to worry
about anything, Like forget college, go go be the next
Pete Webber Haven take care of us, Like yeah, Meete.
Speaker 5 (36:26):
Webber, Oh take care of us. You are strength.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Yeah, I love you.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
Telling you leave man Roland with the home.
Speaker 8 (36:36):
