forty nine ers last night, and what the hell do
you do with Dallas Now we will discuss. Plus, we're

New England Patriots. Historically bad, but are they worse than
the Denver Broncos. We'll get into that as well too.

(00:23):
It was a bizarre day in the world of college football.
A lot of coaches have some explaining to do. There's
one division that we cannot make sense of. And Iowa
Sam and Lee to laugh tor up the town on
Friday night. Wait do you hear their Shenanigans? It's all yours.

Joe on a Monday, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:44):

Speaker 4 (01:37):
We have taps? Do weep play taps?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
It's just look in the handful of games since the
Cowboys and forty nine Ers have played, going back to
the playoff game, it feels like the forty nine ers
have gotten significantly better, and it feels like the Cowboys are.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Just the same.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
And I don't know, and I say this, and Brady's
in the same boat as somebody who had the Cowboys
go to the Super Bowl, and I would like to
accept my responsibility for a bad pick and just say
that if it's the Niners in their way, you can
go ahead and close the coffin lid it's not they

(02:23):
don't have a shot in hell, and it's not just
a Dak Prescott problem. They got totally outclassed on every facet,
on every level.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
I mean, was ugly. That roster is just that good.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
I mean honestly, like Sam was talking to me before
the show started and we were just talking about how
like it doesn't matter. There's three things they have work
in their favor. First Off, brock Perty has been playing phenomenal.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
The way he moves within the pocket, keeps his eyes downfield. Fine.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
Second, window throws four guys that when they're not initially open,
is as good as there is right now in the NFL,
and he's a second year player. It's just it's incredible
to me that San Francisco has found something in a
guy who's I know it's ten with ten starts, he's
ten and zero right now. Yeah, but you got to

(03:12):
give them a ton of credit because now looking back
on everything with with Trey Lances, it's pretty apparent like
Kyle Shanahan's been able to identify in quarterbacks like what
they can do, what they can't do, put them in
a position to succeed, and then clearly just go okay,
like this guy is for real and we were able

(03:34):
to get him in you know, basically at the end
of the draft where no one else saw the value
we did in him, at least of making sure we
got him. But this kid's unbelievable the way he's playing
right now. The next thing is their personnel. I mean,
between McCaffrey to Debo, to George Kittle, to use Check,
to Ayuk whoever.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
It is, like it's the flavor of the week.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
They could find ways of making any one of those
guys have a big game depending on the matchup, and
last night it was George Kittle, So you know that's
the That's the second thing.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
The third thing is obviously their defense.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
I mean, I just when you just keep loading up
your front, when you can can load up your defense
with talent, it makes it so difficult to have any
weaknesses and feel like you can win any master up
matchups if you're Dallas or anyone else for that matter.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
So that was it.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
That was a butt kicking, and that was taps for
both my Super Bowl picks, even though the Bengals one,
it doesn't feel like they're making it either.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
It's just a.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
What a demoralizing loss for the Cowboys just exposed, absolutely exposed.

Speaker 6 (04:46):
I'm not going to say I told you so, because
I think it's too early to say I told you so.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Yeah, no, I'm not going to do that to you
a lot, but we don't.

Speaker 6 (04:55):
I'm not so well, I'm doing it right now, and
and you know I'm not going to do it.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
But I could do it.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
I'm just saying they did exactly what Dallas has done
to make you say I wouldn't trust them. They turned
the ball over. The offensive line didn't hold up. I
didn't think that the defense wouldn't hold up. But defense
didn't hold up either. And it can't be a qualifier
to say, okay, well, San Francisco talent wise, play calling wise,

(05:24):
personnel wise, like all those things. That's what they are.
That's what they are. Coming into a game where we're saying,
we're going to see how these two heavyweights match up
head to hit. This could be foreshadowing of what's going
to take place in the NFC Championship Round. It could
be a big, a big playoff game in the playoffs

(05:45):
before that. Brown, but we were going to find out
who both of these teams were because it very easily
could have gone the other way. We could have very
easily saw the Dallas Cowboys defense dominate, you know, the
forty nine offense and and make it difficult, make it
an ugly game. We could have saw Dak Prescott and

(06:05):
company do things that made you say, wow, this is
a team that really is on their way, and they're
they're on they're on the right road to possibly challenging
for Super Bowl. So it could have gone the other way.
We could have talked about Mike McCarthy's play calling, we
could have talked about a lot of different things that
could have gone right, but it didn't go right. Now,

(06:27):
I'll say this, I still think it's too early to
write them off. I don't think it's it's time to
write them off because they took one ass kicking to
be to be honest like, and that's why I'm not
going to sit there and be on I told you
so tighte type time.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Problem is it's not really one ass kicking. I mean,
they didn't show up versus Arizona this year. There's there's
a number of, you know times you kind of watch
them and just go, yeah, maybe they just don't have
it this year.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Well, I wouldn't go and say it. You know, I'm
not I'm not on there. I'm not on their wagon
that they're going to be good to begin with. But
I'm not saying the people that on their wagon should
get off of the wagon.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
It's you should be looking around your wagon and seeing
familiarities of the bandwagon that you're sitting on, is all
I would say.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
I mean, I would say this.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
Their best hope is this that they don't have to
face either one of San Francisco or Philly.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
And this is how would happen.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Somehow Philly has to face San Francisco, which it seems
somewhat improbable because they should be the top two seeds,
so it seems improbable. But somehow those two would face
each other before Dallas has to face either one off
one another, and then one of those two is gonna

(07:56):
knock the other out, and then that's their best window
or opportunity, because I don't think if they have to
play both they have any shot at getting past both.
They have to hope that somehow, some way, the rest
of the season goes in a manner where they don't
have to face both, and they should also hope that
it's Philly who beats San Francisco, because I think they

(08:19):
might match up a little better with Philly, at least
based on a one game sample so far from this.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
Year, than they do with the forty nine ers, and
the forty nine.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
Ers play to Eagles, Totally interesting to see how they
match up.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
That's next level scoreboard watching. And if you're having to
do that week five of the season, if you're a
Cowboy fan, you're screwed. Just raw ma ap it just yeah,
it does feel like there's there's a clear divide now.
Mike McCarthy spoke afterwards about just getting ready for this game,
getting prepared for the forty nine ers, and yeah, it

(08:54):
just didn't go the way he thought it would.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I didn't see this coming.

Speaker 7 (08:57):
I thought their prep was was good this week, so
I thought we had one of our better Fridays and
Saturdays of the year. So but I think, like we've
talked about before, sometimes you got a great week of
preparation and doesn't go so well. In some weeks it's
not the best week of preparation. You play well, so
we do not.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
We did not hit the market.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
All to day, so there's a there's an an obvious
so Captain obs was it was he out coached? Because
I'm always absolutely okay, yeah, all right, yeah, because it did.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Absolutely it did seem like they were out played out coach.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
We didn't even mentioned we didn't even mention the guys
on on like Warner and what was Ken Ken what
what's his name?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Uha?

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Is it ken Law? The other line? Jesus?

Speaker 6 (09:47):
I mean talk about active LB's playing like a different
era type of linebacker. I mean, they're physical, they're athletic,
they're rangy. I mean, I really enjoyed the way those guys.
They pretty much impacted the game from the start of
the game, and as a linebacker, I was I just

(10:09):
I know the commentators were finding themselves, you know, just
really really giving high praise to them.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
But as somebody Green Law right.

Speaker 6 (10:21):
South Carolina, but man, they, I mean, they're they That's
a pretty impressive group. And and I know we're going
to continue to talk about the comparison in terms of
Philly and and Philly is impressive on every level as well.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
But I just I know we know Fred Warner. I
know we know the.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
Things he's been able to do and the things he's
been able to accomplish, and he's been magnificent in doing
it as a player like he's he's to me, he's
the best in the business at that middle backers position.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
But but Drake.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
Greenlaw put he made a name for us last night.
And he's been he's been a guy that has made plays.
I've seen him make plays, and I know he's he's
been on the map for making plays. But he put
himself on the map to be like a pro bowler,
like even possible all pro with with what he did
last night.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
I was pretty impressive, man, It's pretty impressive.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
Yeah, it's one linebacker, give another linebackers some love.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
He was he was impressive.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
And I you know, I gotta say, I mean the
game plan and this is the biggest thing for me
and I hope Micah understands this moving forward. Is when
you get to a level of dominance and fan fear
like he's gotten to, you are going to have to
deal with two to three dudes hitting you every single play.

(11:48):
You're going to have to deal with with so many
schemes that are geared to limit and minimize you in
a game, whether they're a great team or not. You're
going to see the wind blow blow hardest at the
top of the flagpole.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
That's what they say.

Speaker 6 (12:06):
You're going to see if if he's really great. Like
last night, you saw a game plan that that truly
they neutralized him and and you got to see other guys.
There's gotta be other guys a Diggy Zooey, whoever it
may be. And I hope, hope vander esh is okay,
but there's got to be another guy that that is

(12:29):
able to make make it difficult for a team to
use two to three guys on It is not supposed
to be to Marcus Lawrence. I mean I would have
thought so he's going to have to step up. How
many times did we hear his name last night?

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Not? Not not much. Ever since he's got paid, man,
he's not been the same same player.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
They're going to happen because that that's now, that's book,
and their secondary is continuing there.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Their secondary is is.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
Almost like on the same pattern as as the offensive line,
Like you just can't get them all on the field
and keep them all healthy. It's it's a it's a
it's a fragile secondary. And this what what this was
the first game that they had their entire O line
of note all in at the same time, and it
and it didn't last. You know, the center goes out
with with an injury. It just didn't last. So and

(13:22):
and for what it's worth, they they did not.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
Look like all pro study.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
It didn't look like the Larry Allen uh Nate Newton Stepanowski.
It didn't didn't look like that offensive line. You know,
it didn't look like what they've been painting them out
to be.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
No, but you know, I mean, look, I would say this.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
I thought the the O line did a decent job
on the front. But to your point about the backers,
I mean that just allowed Greenlaw who wanted to play free,
and those guys are flying around making plays and getting pressures.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
So look, you gotta pick your poison again.

Speaker 5 (13:56):
Like we'd always talk about the mismatches with San Francisco's
offense versus their post the opposing defenses, you also have
that with their defense. I mean you got to kind
of pick your poison in front. And that's about as
talented of a group as you will find on a
defensive front. And then you have to worry about the
next level and how you even attack their secondary.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
So I just You gotta give credit to the forty
nine ers organization.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
The way they've built this roster has allowed them to
be not only like it just roll through guys between
Obviously you have your first line guys like the Bosas
and Armsteads and hard Grave all that who they brought
in this offseason, but even picking up like a Cleveland Ferrell, who, hey,
it didn't work out in Las Vegas, use a you know,
top five pick, but it seems like this could be

(14:40):
a place where he could really excel.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Right.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
They pick up Brandy Gregory where it did work out
with Denver this year. Now he's coming in off the
edge in a limited role like Austin Bryant, the other
guys who've got like ability who aren't starters, But they've
rolled those guys in fresh and you're getting their best
shot every time. Like they are a tough, tough defensive
front to to go up against, and they can they
can make it through a few injuries during the course

(15:03):
of a season because of that. So it's it's a
it's a well bill roster, like a well tuned, you know,
well oiled machine.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
It's it's pretty pretty fun to watch.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
They whiffed on a top three quarterback pick, and it
cost him three first rounders and they're still the best
team in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (15:21):
I thought they will play Trey Lance. I know he's
third string, but I thought they might playing Justice. You
know that way I thought they might play. That would
have been very nice.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
Yeah, I don't think so.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
I don't just give him an opportunity to try to
get a touchdown draft.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
That's the only way that it would have made it
worse is if he goes out there and God forbid,
he turns the ball over.

Speaker 6 (15:43):
I mean, it's just I thought the damage was already done,
so you might as well give that man an opportunity
to try to do something good against his former team
that didn't want him.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
That's what I was thinking.

Speaker 6 (15:53):
But you know they put they put uh, what's my
guy in rush?

Speaker 4 (15:58):
They put Rush Rush? You feel the rush? Did you
feel it?

Speaker 6 (16:02):
You know, I was talking about filling the rush when
he was in last year, and I know you were like,
it's too small, stample size.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
You're probably right. I'm not.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
I'm not a big again, I'm not a Dallas fan.
But I did like Rush. I did like him in there.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
Rush.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, I did too.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Hey, how many.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
Interceptions did did dakla Brow?

Speaker 4 (16:24):
How many three? The lap?

Speaker 6 (16:27):
You know, Dak Dak Prescott's lap he looked more like
the lap last night than he did.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Tray Tray.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yeah, unfortunate, that's very unfortunate. But here's what is fortunate.

to talk about?

Speaker 1 (18:02):
What what are you talking about?

Speaker 5 (18:03):
Well, it's gonna be sports, but I'm more curious. We
left off Friday with Lee and Sam going to a concert.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
How was it?

Speaker 1 (18:12):
I just got some details pictures.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Come on, Sam, Lee.

Speaker 9 (18:22):
You guys know how I like to go keep going
downstairs right just when I find a bar, I mean
like falling down.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
We're like using gravity or you.

Speaker 9 (18:32):
Know, like when we're going around Ireland and I just
to the underground, I find uh, I find little passageways
or hallways or stairways.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
I didn't realize that was a thing, but okay, yeah, I.

Speaker 10 (18:44):
Don't know where I found myself.

Speaker 9 (18:46):
I found myself about four stories down in like some
uh Korea karaoke bar.

Speaker 10 (18:53):
Real loss. It was fun, It was a good time.
I'm glad I got out of there, all right.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
I was there as well, yourself or with Sam? He
was a little way, he was leading the way.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Were you concerned that someone's gonna happen at a at
a you know what kind of karaoke bar?

Speaker 10 (19:10):
Korea?

Speaker 9 (19:10):
Korea karaoke bar. We were in Ktown, Koreatown, Okay, and uh,
I think Sam eventually just gave up on me and
got got himself a ride home.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
You didn't take the you didn't take the metro back? Sam,
you that he was scared of them.

Speaker 10 (19:25):
We did on the way there.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
It was fine.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
It's every drug addict in l A that hangs out
of the metro. Yeah, that was my first underground train
experience in la. It was It was fine, uneventful.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
That was good.

Speaker 10 (19:36):
So well, Yeah, I had a great time in the
concert was great. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Burned a hole in my pocket, maybe burned a little
hole in my my brain with some whiskey, and I
paid for it on Saturday a little bit. But good
times were.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
How did you burn a hole in your pocket?

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Just you know, it's just expensive to go out. Alcohol
figures a little a little little bar act.

Speaker 6 (19:55):
Now the new thing like you and Lee hanging out
versus Lee and Todd, Like are you replacing?

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Are you competition here? That's take. It was Sam's It
was Sam's band though, right, Yeah?

Speaker 2 (20:07):
No, I mean Lee and I had done stuff the
last two weekends. Yeah yeah, and Sam hung out with
Todd too, Yeah almost.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Oh, Todd isn't opposed to sharing.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Todd just pipped Hey.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
By the way, Sam, what band did you guys?

Speaker 1 (20:23):
See?

Speaker 10 (20:24):
It was the Darkness?

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Oh? How was? And how and what they sound like?

Speaker 10 (20:31):
I think my vocal cords are are worn out.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Now keep your drop.

Speaker 10 (20:36):
Oh it's in there somewhere.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (20:37):
Yeah, absolute for that. I would love to hear the
real time one got it in you? So come on,
you got it in you?

Speaker 5 (20:45):
I'm telling wait, go back to one last thing though,
So Sam, you left Lee at the karaoke bar, so no.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Stories below karaoke Korean karaoke bar.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
We emerged from the underground, and then Lee was trying
to find a passageway into the subway or the you
know that the train down you know the tube or
lack of a better term, and I was just like,
I gotta go home.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
I was out of pretty out of it, so I
gotta go.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Yeah, I gotta I gotta get out of here, all right,
So you got back, okay?

Speaker 9 (21:14):
Yeah, I was fine. I was like, Sam, it's right here.
Sam's like, no, I was.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
I checked out.

Speaker 9 (21:20):
We would a half blocked past it. But uh, and
then that's when Sam called it quits. I felt like
I was really far away from home.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
I was like, I just gotta go. I gotta get
get in a car here and leave. So, yeah, there's
no crop circles in those parts, Sam, none, none to
be had. It's a it's a it's.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
A mess down there, clearly the snack of champs.

Speaker 6 (21:36):
The rito's a relish mustard hot dog with with a
blue ribbon.

Speaker 9 (21:43):
PBR and shut what is it?

Speaker 10 (21:49):
Shot at JD with a PBR JD.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Jame Leah left several times, he left the theater several
times ago. Find a hot dog, and I'm pretty sure
you consume several hot talks. You were like, I'm gonna
go get a hot dog.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Oh you got a Hollywood hot dog?

Speaker 10 (22:04):
This is a concessions.

Speaker 9 (22:06):
Yeah, No, l a street dog. It was in the Wiltern.
That was the theater, the Wilter.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Nobody's better than the food at that Notre Dame Navy
game in Ireland, because that was awful.

Speaker 10 (22:17):
Well I did.

Speaker 9 (22:18):
There was some food that didn't stay down, which we
had before the concert.

Speaker 10 (22:22):
Actually stay down.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
What happened.

Speaker 10 (22:26):
We had some blue cheese tater tots and.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Uh, that kind of sounds good to me.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
We had a little allergic reaction to some some tequila.

Speaker 9 (22:33):
Yeah, I had allergic reaction.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Yeah, I had.

Speaker 10 (22:39):
A rookie move.

Speaker 9 (22:40):
We were we were late for the concert, and we
were like, all right, we were across the street having
a bite and a drink before a little pregame and
a rookie move.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (22:48):
I did the shot as we were trying to go out,
and uh, immediately ran for the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Really little burn of the old little burn of the
pipes there goes down. You gotta make sure that it's
down well, stays down.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
I'm just like LaVar really uncovered something here, like Todd
is getting left in the dust.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
Sam buddy just passed away.

Speaker 6 (23:12):
So it just would seem like the perfect time for
Sam to swoop in and and take Lee away.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
From Todd the other morning.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Jimmy Buffett sand snoops in and uh, you know, pulls
a wedding.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
Yeah, Simon is Todd at morning. Is that why this
is all happening? Like he's he's still mourning the loss
of old JB.

Speaker 9 (23:33):
He's got a new Uh, he's got a new little
main squeeze that it's been taking a lot of his attention.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
So his maid squeeze. It packs your relationship, your maid squeeze.

Speaker 10 (23:45):
Doesn't I mean a little bit? Yeah, it does.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Yuh.

Speaker 10 (23:50):
He actually wanted to go.

Speaker 9 (23:51):
He wanted to go to the concert really bad, but uh,
he had pre engagements with his lady friend. Oh so yeah, oh,
because he's a big fan of the darkness too.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Oh so you are, so you are stepping out on him?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Hell yeah, oh wow, oh wow.

Speaker 10 (24:11):
Amen.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
I ain't this like fouling this away? Like if me
and you are like hanging out or in a dark
alley or whatever.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
I don't know, man, all are invited. I don't know
if I'm if I'm in the trenches with you, I don't.
I don't know. If it's a fox whole thing, I don't.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
I don't know, Lee, Yeah, I don't know, he's got
his musketeers. Sometimes it's two, sometimes it's three.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
You know, is that what it is?

Speaker 10 (24:32):
Just depends? Free love, baby, d'Artagnan.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
It's almost d'Artagnan. Sure, it's almost. It's almost as if Lee.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
Lee is the leader of the three Musketeers.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Yeah, it's almost as if Lee graduated from Todd over
to sam And speaking of which, Graduate Hotels your college
game day headquarters with more than thirty hotels and all
your favorite college towns. Book to stay this season and
save up to thirty percent with the code two pros
at graduatehotels dot com. That's two pros at gradu with
hotels dot com. So the New England Patriots are a

(25:04):
bad football team, and I don't think that I've said
that in well over twenty years.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
They're not good.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
And they've been outscored seventy two to three the last
two weeks. They got smoked yesterday and Bill Belichick after
the game talked with the media about some changes and
starting over. Let's take a listen to coach Belichick playing
some play.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
We got to find a way to playing coach better
than that. So i'sting to start all over and get
back on a better tracking.

Speaker 10 (25:35):
Round right now, Bill, you said you guys need to
start over.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Have you ever had to do that before? Five games
in the season, just for reference? I mean, is this
something new? Yeah, I've done it before. What does that entail?
Starting over? Starting over?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I mean, that's that solves it.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
I've done it before.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:57):
I mean could you imagine being a coach on their
coaching staff. They have to be miserable right now. I
mean they're sleeping at the office now. They're starting over,
which probably means they're reevaluating their own roster, looking at
what they can do, what they can't do. I mean,
this is like the type of stuff you do bye
week as a coach where you're really trying to, you know,

(26:21):
figure out, all, right, this is our team, this is
our identity.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
How do we figure out how.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
To win games consistently moving forward with what we've got?
And they've got to do this in the middle of
a game week after getting their butts kicked by the Saints.
It's just I mean, they're honestly the only hope and
no New England fans want this, but it's the fact
that they could be bad enough for they'll be in
the sweepstakes for Caleb Williams or Drake May.

Speaker 7 (26:47):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
Yeah, that's like the only hope that I think you
have right now if you're a Patriots fan, because outside
of like those two type of players at quarterback, I'm
not sure anyone else is going to really, you know,
fix this, at least not this season.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
It's almost like Popovich and Wenby. Everyone thought Popovich he's done,
They're just gonna go ahead and move on.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
Then he gets they brought him Tim Duncan Junior.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Yeah, Like he lands a number one pick and all
of a sudden, there's life into the organization again. It's
almost like Belichick needs that like it and the mac
Jones is just it's just not working. He got quote
unquote benched again, although the game was already out of reach.
He says he's still the QB won there, but it Yeah,
it almost feels like they need to be bad enough

(27:32):
to where they're going to land one.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Of these top quarterbacks.

Speaker 6 (27:34):
I know I bring up I know, I bring up
the seat and I said that now, I don't know
if y'all caught is kind of corny, but you know,
his seat will be warm. He'll have his own built
in seat warmer for that New England weather. When it
continues to get brisk as the year goes along, I
just wonder when does the seat heat up like that

(27:58):
continues to be every single time I hear it. Because
here's the thing. When you when you're winning and you're
doing things that's such a high level, people have to
deal with how you are. They don't have to like it,
but they got to deal with it because you're not
You're not going anywhere, and for what it's worth, it's

(28:20):
kind of justified because you I mean, you're winning. But
when you're losing and you're not at the top anymore
and you're not the elite program and you're not the
elite franchise that's out there, and you still continue to
kind of handle things the way that you handle them,
I wonder how quickly that grows old on. Not just

(28:41):
then you mentioned the coaches being miserable, but you know,
think about the media and having to deal with it
and losing, and so I just wonder. You're at one
and four, it doesn't seem like the mac Jones experiment
is going to work. Like you guys said, how do

(29:03):
you get through if I'm Bill Belichick and you're saying
in week five that we're starting over. Is that your
way of saying, like, no need to concern yourself with
if I'm going to retire or whatever it may be.
Or he's feeling the pressure of not being good pretty
much since Tom Brady has left. Is that kind of saying, listen,

(29:25):
don't talk about me losing my job, or is it
time because I'm going to start over?

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Like? Is that what that? Do?

Speaker 8 (29:33):
You?

Speaker 6 (29:33):
Guys feel like there was more to it? Because I
felt like there was a little bit more to it
with him saying we're starting over, Like that's it, We're done.
Hit the reset button. I've done it plenty of times
playing video games, No harm, no foul.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
Is that what this was? Like? That was the question
I asked myself, like, is he just is he holding
people off?

Speaker 5 (29:56):
I've said it before, I'll say it again. I don't
know that he's holding anyone off. The reality is I
just I don't think that's how it's going to go down.
When he's no longer coach in New England. You know
they'll let him decide when he wants to step down
and if they have the number one overall pick to
Jonas's point. And by the way, if you look at
Greg Popovich and how he handles the media and like

(30:18):
that track record of consistency and success dad in San
Antonio for a while. With those Hall of famers, it's
pretty similar, like their demeanor and all that. And I
kind of gave more the sense that after the end
of the season, if they are in striking distance of
getting at Caleb Williams getting Drake May, you'd be sitting

(30:39):
there thinking it'd be crazy for him not to want
to come back and coach and see what he's got
in that player. That being said, though, ultimately, you know
Robert Craft and him private conversation, does Robert Craft want
Bill Belichick to be the coach for that? In some ways,
you you know, I'm sure Caleb Williams would be like, ye,

(31:00):
heck yeah, like arguably the greatest coach ever in NFL history, Yes,
sign me up for that. But in other ways, you know,
he might say, yeah, maybe I want a guy who's
you know, one of these younger offensive minds that we
keep seeing that is doing a great job, Like how
do I find the next Mike McDaniel that can maximize
my quarterback? You know, you wonder what the ownership is

(31:21):
thinking and if he feels like his hands are tied
because there's so much success that Bill Belichick has had
that he doesn't want to You know, I guess ruin
the way this story ends.

Good morning, LeVar. Will guys, we've all missed it. It's
been thirty four Lap, They guys has been thirty four
consecutive drawings, Hey Lee from July nineteenth, Hey Brady, thirty
four consecutive drawing drawings since July nineteenth. And now the

(33:38):
powerball is the fourth largest in history at one point
five five billion dollars with an estimated payout of six
hundred and seventy nine point eight million.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Damn, who's gonna do it? So I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
I mean someone's gonna get it this time.

Speaker 10 (33:56):
Yeah, the record is forty one. As I mentioned, we're
at thirty four right now.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
And is it?

Speaker 2 (34:05):
So, what's the largest powerball jackpot ever? So one point
five to five is fourth? Like, there's no possible way
that if you were to, if it was a single
winner and you're getting six hundred and eighty million, that
you could blow through this money.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
I just don't buy it.

Speaker 9 (34:23):
Largest ever two point see that zero four billion November seventh,
twenty twenty two.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
And last year resent this did you say that though
you really don't think you could blow feed that?

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Well, I'm thinking with my wallet, like if I if
I won Powerball, Man, I'm not getting another car. I'm
just I'm just gonna keep riding the same old you know,
just save old the Sanford and Sun truck that I've
been rocking for years and years, and this is gonna
be what it's gonna be.

Speaker 9 (34:51):
You need a new car, Jonas nobody fits into the
side in your passive.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
That's because that's because my I have the baby seat
in the back. What do you want from me?

Speaker 4 (35:01):
All right?

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Lee? Like, I don't know what to tell you.

Speaker 10 (35:03):
I would like a little bit of a room, that'd
be nice.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Okay, Well, I mean it's not. It's not in a
four door truck. You know, it's a little it's a
little two door with like a bench seat in the back.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
And you know, you gotta deal with what you gotta
deal with.

Speaker 6 (35:15):
What are you two ever in the same I was
thinking the same thing to you answer that one going to.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
The Lee and Todd, Lee and Sam? But what are
you two ever?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
When we go to the airport, when we went to
South Carolina after you know, I had to give Lee
a ride.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Because his ride, you have a good ride, didn't show up.
You are a terrible.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Human being for that, just asking everyone want what?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
I gave a legitimate ride in my truck and he
complained because the child seat in the back.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
How was the ride for you. It's cramped now let's
gee mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
What else we got Lee, guys?

Speaker 9 (36:00):
In case you missed it, an Eagles fan broke into
the team logger room after the game posing as a
member of the media, ended up approaching aj Brown, who
said he was in fear of his life and later
told security who escorted him out.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Had to be half in the bag.

Speaker 8 (36:16):
Ja.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
Brown's a big dude. Why would he be scared of anything?

Speaker 10 (36:20):
He might have been joking.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Yeah, there's a big win Philly, you know, huge lot
a lot of Eagles fans at that game.

Speaker 5 (36:29):
I felt like the Eagles home game yep usually does
does it.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
So col You know, like when the Eagles played the
Chargers at that soccer stadium years ago, it was probably
ninety five five percentage wise.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
From Eagles to Chargers fan. Like, they travel well, and
there's a lot of Eagles fans in southern California for
some reason.

Speaker 6 (36:50):
I don't know why they're trying to get away from
the crappy weather.

Speaker 4 (36:55):
I won't say that, but that's what it is.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
What else we got Lee's defensive Well, I'm a pare
soda weather sucks. I heard it was really rainy and bad.
Last couple of days. I went outside. It was ninety degrees.
It was too hot.

Speaker 10 (37:12):
Yeah too, guys.

Speaker 9 (37:15):
Big win for the Jaguars in London, winning their second
game out there against the Bills. But the Bills fans
were out there in force, and we're trolling Trevor Lawrence
with a big sign saying Trevor Lawrence eats boneless wings.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
You like boneless wings?

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Yeah, of course I love boneless wings. I'm not a
cave man.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
I also don't crap in a in a box that's
got a crescent moon on the front. Grow up and
get into modern times.
