Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yeah, I wanted like put that on Lee Unleslie wants
to do it.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Hey, Brady, we had a big time spill here in
the studio.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
That got all Oh yeah, I had the kind of
space nice and tidy.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
It's a mess.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I had to wipe it up after it got out
a wet.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
It was a good ratio. Two you is that the
Almond Joy create?
Speaker 1 (01:09):
What kind of was a great ratio? There's a coffee spill? Yeah,
oh coffee, yeah, yeah, I hit it. I hit it
with my with my microphone.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
All cleaned up though. You know, most people would just
leave it behind, especially in a radio studient. Oh yeah,
come on, people are filthy.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Oh man. Yeah, I didn't think to do anything else
but to clean it up. I mean, after I wet
it up like that, you know, God to clean it. Yeah, yeah, definitely.
I hear what you're saying. Man, don't leave a mess.
Oh no, never do Yeah, Man, cleanliness is next to godliness.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
I hear it is two pros and a cup of Joe.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, he's lebar ja like, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Co signing anything that they're doing right now that's going away.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
I mean I can't. I can only imagine it's going away.
Shenanigans that are taking.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Place right well, they're going to take place on Thursday,
or excuse me, Friday at the Graduate in Columbus.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
It's going down. Come check us. Yeah, get up early,
six to nine, y'all, come.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
On, already been promised the dinner, all sorts of fun stuff. Really, yeah,
Brady's already telling me all that stuff's happening. You're telling
a bunch of a bunch of time together, So I mean,
it's not much time at all. Actually we're talking about
get everything dialed in.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
There is a Dowdy Rady'll be with us whole cruise together. Well, Brady,
you're going to be there all weekend, right, Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:38):
Yeah, I get in town on Wednesday night. But Jonas
is what he's doing is he's being passive.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Because that'll be ten dollars.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
Yeah, there was a charity event that, of course, like
I get invited to, and I'm planning on going to
long before. We're planning to be there in Columbus for
our radio show, and now Jonas is upset. He's like, well,
what what do you mean?
Speaker 4 (03:00):
What do you mean?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
What do you what are you talking?
Speaker 4 (03:01):
What do you mean? You're gonna hang out Fox Sports Radio?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
You're being serious about that. You're really gonna like rip
my heart out, my beating hot out of my chest
and tell me.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Said Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I was gonna wear those salmon pants awarded the golf
tournament years ago too, and.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Actually would have matched that because it's a it's an
Ohio state charity thing, so.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Damn well enjoy that.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Which I have no idea why my ass is going.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
There seems weird.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Come on, you're the pride of Columbus slash Dublin. If
everybody knows they get back into town.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Uh, salmon pants would have would have blended in wealthy
red for Ohio State.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Well, speaking of Ohio, how about those brownies? Baby, about
those brownies getting big out the Browns. Yeah, I'll tell you,
if Deshaun Watson could just want to play, they'd be
a real contender in the a f C. But the
way that defense is and is Jim Schwartz the most
under discussed coordinator in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
With with that not really, I mean we' we kind
of talked about him every every other week.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
And I don't think that we do. Okay, Yeah, I think.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
We've talked about him since week one.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
How that was a huge offseason get and Zadarius Smith across.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Yeah, we kind of talked about it for a while.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Let me listen.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
I've talked about how their defense has really carried them
this year. Yeah, because Watson hasn't played that great, got her,
Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt have done a good job
like that. Yesterday they played great. But we've talked a
lot about the defense.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Actually, yeah, I'm pointing specifically Jim Schwartz feels like we
haven't brought his name, but you know, but I'm glad
that I just did.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
Now, you know what, you might be confusing our show
with that show that's on Saturdays that you do Possible?
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Oh the oh you mean two pm Eastern time, eleven am.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
What's it called?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
The Jonas Knox the original Jass stolen by Joel Klatt.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Original, Yeah, but onto bigger and better things.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
The Brown you guys, did you guys feel as though
rock parties like they they kind of mentioned it during
the game, but I really started paying attention to it,
like the way the ball was coming off of his hand,
Like did you feel as though like maybe there was
something going on with his arm? Like it wasn't spinning
(05:24):
the ball, He was not throwing the ball like he
has been in Games passed. It was like it was
inaccurate in comparison to games pass. Well, I don't want
to say it, gohad say.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
It didn't have very big hands.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
And those conditions. I don't think the conditions were great.
Were they a little bit was not?
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Were not good conditions?
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah? It was a little rainy and sag out.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
Yeah, I mean, I'm just saying like he's got smaller hands,
usually in the hands to be over ten. I think
he's somewhere between like nine in a quarter, nine in
three couurse someone in there.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
So his kryptonite is slippery balls. Okay, I mean that's
what we're saying, right, because he wasn't spending it the
same way. It was not spending the way.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
They didn't have Christian McCaffrey, who basically tried to kept
coming back but he was out, didn't have Debo Trim
Williams got knocked out. You started to see, like, here's
the thing, is what brock Purtty has done.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Like both of these things can be true.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
You know, people don't need to like take it as
a knock at brock Purty. Okay, he's played with as
much talent or more talent than anyone else out around
him in the NFL. Okay, And he's done a tremendous
job in Kyle Shanahan's system.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
He has been phenomenal.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
Okay, But when you take away those stars, it reveals
a bit of like, all right, well, what's he able
to do? What he doesn't have all this like, which
is what a lot of other quarterbacks have to deal with.
And you saw that a bit versus good defense on
the road in adverse conditions in Cleveland now, even saying
(07:04):
that he still took them down the field at the
end that had a shot to win it, and obviously
a missfield goal ends up changing the outcome. But this
is the hard thing about you know, when you look
at a team's ability to make a Super Bowl, they
got to stay healthy, like part of that's how your stars,
your difference makers, staying healthy or having the depth to
overcome that.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
And yesterday was an example of that. They didn't have that.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
They basically got beat by a team with a backup
quarterback that struggled, and they they were beat up. They
couldn't do much and so it was not the game
I thought they would have their first loss.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
They would lose. But here we are.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Somebody said in my group text, you know, you know
how guys like former players and teammates, they had like
their group chats and they talk about the games and
stuff like that, or randomly make make things. Somebody said,
welcome to the AFC North And I thought that was
interesting because it came from an AFC North guy. But
(08:03):
it was a well it could have been plexed too,
but it could have been a couple other guys, because
I'm tight with Achille Smith too, but it could have
been a few guys that said it. But right, but
it was a physical game, and and they were. They
were out physically one of the most physical teams in
(08:28):
the NFL, like the San Francisco forty nine Ers are
one of the more physical teams. Like that's what they
pride themselves on, being able to out physical you. And
Cleveland on defense literally beat them off the field, was
knocking them off the field. I thought that was pretty
(08:49):
interesting because right now Cleveland is what the third team
in the AFC North, the fourth team in the AFC North,
third or fourth with the Bengals.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
They being the playoffs of the playoffs started today.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Yeah, okay, so, but but as a third as a
second wild card team, right because the Ravens would be
second and the Steelers still first. I'm just saying, man,
I found out to be kind of interesting. The best
team and my estimation in the NFL got their asses
(09:23):
out physical by a lower team ranking in the AFC
and AFC North.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
I look at it and I don't I don't know.
I mean, the health is the biggest question mark coming
out of that game for the Niners.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
But they were knocked they were knocked into not being healthy.
They didn't come into the game and the unhealthy they
were knocked into that.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
And they were chippy before the game. So yes, they
came out and was like, all right, so let's do
this and let's do this, and so Trent Williams too,
to Brady's point, and Deebo Samuel Christian McCaffrey. We don't know,
you know, how long are the extent of all those injuries.
We wait to find that out. But I still look
at it and I go, okay, so you lose all
three of those guys, you miss a field goal at
(10:06):
the end, and that end you were given a bag.
You were given a bag of crap on that final
drive with two of the worst calls you'll see by
those officials, the holding call and what was the other
one again, I think it was it was it roughing.
They got like a there was a roughing call or
so personal foul call something like that. I forget which
(10:28):
one it was, but there was two awful calls against
San Francisco late in that final drive and still had
a chance to win the game. So I don't know,
I don't. I don't come away from that going this
is long term issues for the Niners other than and
we wait to see the health of those guys. I
just think they were It was a bad spot and
(10:48):
Cleveland figured it out.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
You know what I came away with. You never want
a team to ever get comfortable with thinking they don't
need you. That's what I came away from that game,
thinking like, that's one of the biggest games of the year,
if not so far for the Cleveland Browns, and they're
(11:09):
facing a lot of adverse situations, none bigger than not
having their big time quarterback in the lineup, and yet
they produce a win that gives the hottest team in
the National Football League their first loss. I mean, is
(11:30):
that do you like if Deshaun Watson were to miss
let's just say, a couple more games and this formula
that they have right now continues to yield them positive
results whether they put Deshaun Watson in or not based
upon how much he makes. You got to believe that.
(11:51):
For one, we've already been talking about the eroding of
trust and a guy that gets cleared physically to play
but doesn't play. But then secondly, you start winning more games,
you're winning games, and you found like a rhythm with
what it is that you're doing, whether people want to
admit it or not, that's going to add an extra
(12:12):
amount of stress and pressure on Deshaun Watson coming back
in and taking over that that role. But PJ. Walker
wasn't very good. Yeah, but I understand. I understand he
wasn't very good. But what I'm saying is is if
they were to win, like you said, like you mentioned earlier,
what Jim Zorn said, if you're winning, if you're winning,
(12:35):
like even with Zach Wilson, right, if you're winning and
you put somebody else in and you lose, are you
going to be like, oh, well, you know PJ didn't
play well in the other games, or are you going
to be like I think we've been we disrupted what
we created. I think guys in the locker room may
think like, why would we disturb what we have? Especially
(12:57):
if he comes in and he's not as good as
you would have liked, or I hope that he would be.
That's all I'm saying. I mean, I mean, he's paid bros.
I get it.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
There's no hesitation as soon as he's healthy, he's back.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
In the lineup, but but there could be that there
could be that thought from players internally, and what does
that create, especially if he doesn't have success. That was
the That was the first thing I thought, is what
if they get to the point of where they win
two three games and he's not in the lineup, Like,
how are guys going to feel about him coming back,
especially if they don't win when he comes back? Something
(13:33):
to think about. I mean, that's I thought about it.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Yeah, I just and and also now there's speculation, well,
you know, maybe he could be back this upcoming week.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Do you think we can't Wow?
Speaker 4 (13:44):
Wow, shocking?
Speaker 5 (13:45):
You go play the best defense in the NFL and
oh yeah, well.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
Get a side step on that one.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
I mean, like if that's if that's really what this
was about, I don't want to give it a go
against the best defense in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
But I wasn't ready.
Speaker 5 (14:00):
It's a convenient deal, right, It's convenient that it happened
to be, Like maybe I seed it one more week.
Speaker 3 (14:07):
I mean, that's there's your browns. By the way, you're brownies.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Hang.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
Bernie Coozar would never pull that crap.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Haang. He'd be out there.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
Oh, Bernie would not.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Bernie would have been out there, man bottle and all.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Bernie would have been out there.
Speaker 5 (14:21):
You have to go back to back weeks on the
road here, what right, I'm just saying, under no circumstances,
what would he miss?
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Just said? Yeah, that man pushes through.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Yeah, so you've got You're at Indianapolis and then at
Seattle after that. So I mean, you know, maybe he
sits us out and waits till the Cardinals first weekend
of November. Deshaun Watson or I think he comes back
at Indianapolis next week. He can't miss much more time.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
I don't think he can. I mean, I don't know.
I wouldn't have thought he would have missed this much.
It's a deep bruise to the rotator cuff. So we're here.
A deep bruise can be that that can be hard
to deal with, now, you know. But like y'all said,
he he thinks that healthy PJ. Tucker is bad. Yeah,
(15:13):
there you go, is better than a bruised up Deshaun Watson.
So there you go. Yeah. I mean, I just don't
get it. None.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
It doesn't make sense. None of it makes sense. I
don't get it. It was medically cleared.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
But all right, how about Kareem Hunt? Seez Yeah, I
mean he came in and ran the ball. He did,
But we do in the North, Yes he did. That's
what you're doing. The North Winner is coming, Baby, got
to deal with the elements.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, Lebar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas knocks
with you here from the ti rack dot Com studio.
So coming up next, we're going we had boots on
the ground coverage of a great scene and a great
performance in the world of football over the weekend, and
we'll get into that for you. That's next here right
here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Comeing
up in we'll call it about twenty minutes from now,
We're gonna have another edition of the FSRI irt is
a Monday, so it's a Monday tradition and we will
have that for you again twenty minutes from now from
the tire Raq dot Com studios. But it was not
only a big weekend in the NFL, as we've been
(16:46):
discussing and we will continue to discuss here on throughout
the course of the show. It was a big weekend
in college football, specifically in South Bend. They showed up
about them fighting Irish there Brady Quinn right boots on
ground for the homecoming to serve one up to the
USC Trojans and who's too huh, I'm talking.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
About Yeah, we had we had a bunch of guys
come back.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
But it's it's you know, I'll say this as much
I know I'm biased, that that atmosphere when they do
a night game like that, man, it is unbelievable. It
is so different from when I was there. I mean,
now they've got like a legit scoreboard and the way
they got a DJ down there, like the way they
pump in music, and like the whole light show from
(17:32):
the third to fourth quarter, fireworks afterwards, like coming out
into the stadium just to start it.
Speaker 4 (17:38):
It's just it's so different. And it's so well done.
Speaker 5 (17:42):
Like everything Notre Dame does when they rebuild these buildings
and create these new arenas and stadiums, they just do
it so well.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
And it was cool man.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
Like I'll and I think the cool thing for me
is and this is like the one thing I'd say
as I was taking some people around campus and the Basilica,
the grotto, all these kind of you know, different places.
Is a lot of folks in Notre Dame. They're so
happy to share like what it is with everyone because
it's bigger than just like a school or you know, football.
(18:16):
There's like a spiritual element to it, and so that
they're so inviting and they're so happy to tell you
about the history of the Basilica or the history of
the school and the university and you know how we
got where we got and so it's just it's such
a such a neat place and the people there are fantastic.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
They were so hospitable. And look, then the game was
the game.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
I mean, you know, look that game went probably not
how many people thought it would go, because that was
an absolute butt kicking from start to finish. And the
kid who's the Renning Heisman Trophy winner who I'm not
gonna say it was painted on his nails, but he
played about us. That might have been the worst game
(18:58):
of his career, but I think that deserves to be
a lot of credit to Xavier Watts. The way he played,
two intercessions, a fumble return for a touchdown, seven tackles.
He was awesome, but also Al Golden, their defensive coordinator.
I mean, he just had a great game plan. About
half the pat his dropbacks for Caleb Williams, he was
getting pressured on. So just a dominant, dominant performance by
(19:22):
Notre Dame. And I think the tough thing is as
a two loss team because we have never seen a
two loss team getting the playoff.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
They're out of the playoff contention for this year.
Speaker 5 (19:32):
A year like next year, they're going to be probably
a part of it as far as a twelve team playoff.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
I know this, they single handedly may have costic Caleb
Williams the Heisman Trophy. So it's thank you Notre Dame
for doing that. You know, we definitely wanted I wanted
to see him get it two times in a row,
but that's I don't know how you can receive the
Heisman after that type of performance. I mean, it was
(20:00):
such a masterful game playing by Al Golden and this
this Notre Dame defense. I mean I was super impressed.
You know, he's always found a way to pull it through,
but it just kept getting worse, like he kept turning
the ball over critical turnovers, I mean critical errors. It
(20:24):
just they did such a great job defensively against USC,
I mean it was it was truly a dominant performance.
Just watching it.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
That scene when they turn the lights out in the
stadium and people are holding their phones or whatever those
lights are. They look like firefones in the crowd is
just awesome, just the way and you just see sort
of it's completely dark, it starts to light up. Like
just that whole presentation was awesome and awesome to get
to see. Now was how did Matt Lioner get treated?
Speaker 4 (20:55):
There?
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Were they busting his balls pretty good?
Speaker 1 (20:57):
On Big New kick Off?
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Yeah, pretty good? Pretty good? They so like the signs
were good.
Speaker 5 (21:01):
I mean, it was not a great crowd with I'll
be honest with like the weather. I mean, bro, it
was like forty degrees and raining and I say raining
like flooding, Like I feel bad that that whole grass
area like if you stepped in it, like your your
shoe was getting stuck, like it had.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Rained all night all morning. It was.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
It was a tough that's the worst weather we've ever
attempted to a show in. But there were still some
fans out there that did have some pretty some pretty
crazy signs. Like one had like a it said ninety
degrees and it showed a picture of like a ninety
degree angle. The next one said forty five degrees that
it showed a forty five degree angle, and then it
(21:43):
said worthless degrees usc. It was like there was one
that said Catholics don't need Trojans, which apparently they they
made him take it down.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
They did allow them to.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Have that one.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
Yeah, there was there was a lot of there's a
lot of pretty creative signs in there. You know, you
can't spell usc with that, or you can't spell sucks
without usc, just different little ones in there.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
It was great.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
That's awesome. Yeah, can I ask you a question off
topic a little bit, but just listen to what you
just said. What if the weather is like in clement,
like to the point of like, yeah, for you guys,
what do you do, What's what's the contingency.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
I mean, well, it was brought up earlier in the week.
Speaker 5 (22:25):
Someone had brought up the point that we could be inside,
and it was mixed. It was shot down because apparently
our set itself is supposedly good through.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
Lightning and everything.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
Now I don't know how that's possible, but at least
the set itself is supposedly safe under those sorts of conditions.
I mean, maybe not a hurricane or like a tornado,
but at least, you know, lightning.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
So we're out there.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
A lot of guards you're sitting on there.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Yeah, And that's why I'm like, it's just thing grounded,
Like when does it get struck by lightning? Like I
feel like this whole thing is about to ready to
go up and flames.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
So it was worse conditions than at ann Arbor a
couple of years ago when you guys were whole that
was just cold.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
That was just cool.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
This is soggy, rainy cold.
Speaker 5 (23:17):
It was raining like into the set like it was
like a it was like blowing like into.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
The set like oh, back was all wet gloves. Yeah,
that's what I'm trying to say.
Speaker 5 (23:27):
Man, it was, it was not it was It was
pretty uncomfortable for a lot of people out there now.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
I don't know if you had a chance to, uh
to take in that shootout between Washington and Oregon. That's
one of the better, one of the better games you'll
ever see. That was fantastic television to watch.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 5 (23:46):
I thought it was some terrible management on the fourth downs.
I just it's becoming an issue now. It's becoming an
issue now. These teams wanted to go for fourth down
and chasing points. Oregon gave up what should have been
an easy field goal at the end of the first half,
which Washington won thirty six thirty three, and instead they
(24:08):
kept putting them themselves within a position with their chasing points.
And I know at one point then and then and
I'm jumping into the lead in the second half, but
I just think we've gotten so like over analytical about
the whole fourth down deal. And they should have really
scored on third down but next to a terrible pass
and then the fourth down call was awful. But like,
(24:31):
that was one of those instants where I felt like
you had the chance to get some momentum and instead
of getting some and getting three at least going in
the halftime. You gave washing all the momentum at home.
That's got a factor in.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
At some point.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
And Dan Lanning was saying at halftime, He's like, well,
you know we're going to be aggressive. That's who we are,
to be aggressive.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
Okay, well you could be aggressive. You just got to
be smart about when you're aggressive. I didn't think that
was the time and place to go chase some points.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Yeah, so that was a fun one. And by the way,
you mentioned the heisman. Michael Pennox Junior is your favorite
right now?
Speaker 5 (25:02):
To one eyes, man, it's pronounced Pennix, right, yeah, okay,
some of the shows seem to pronounce it some of
their way out there, What do you mean?
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Okay, how else would they?
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Did somebody screw that up?
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Oh wait, wait, I again know what you're talking about?
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Okay, yeah, you're catching on now.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Yeah, I got you, Yeah, catching what you're throwing. Ah.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Well, listen, people make mistakes.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
You know.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
It's tough to do all the time. Yeah, it's tough
to do, but I want it's.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Your job to get it right. You should probably work
to get it right though.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
Well, I think you've got to chant it, you know,
like if you're going to say, you know, big penix energy.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Yeah, you know, you probably should pronounce it the proper way.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Yeah, I mean, but if they're saying it that way,
maybe they mean it that way connected maybe.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Or maybe they just don't study up. I'm not sure
what it is.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
You either you either made such an egregious mistake you
want to say it that way and like you're trying.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
To, or you just didn't. You just don't.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Oh, man, I must say they did it on purpose,
you think so, I don't.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
I don't get it anymore. Man Like it's like everyone's
doing stuff for shock value.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
It's a gutsy move, all right, you know it, very
real gutsy h.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
M. I feel like I feel like if I was
to say something like that, I would not be on air.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
You probably would.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
No.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Then again, I don't know that. Maybe they wouldn't have
thought they heard you say it, because that's just not
something that they would expect to come from you.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Well, when you're yelling it like over and over and
over and over again, like it's a little different.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
That is. I would agree a chant of big energy
is yeah, I would agree agree to.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
I prefer big noon kickoff that's what I prefer, so
me too.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
That's why I try to show keep.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
I do a calling, by the way, and uh, they'll
be like big kickoff noon, there's a big dune, Like
they kind of mess with the name the way they
go about saying it, and it is kind of funny
to hear different ways people like distort it.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
But I think it's funny how tall you and Matt
are and how Mark sits in between y'all. You can
clearly see way more of him than you can and
you guys, cause y'all got to even up and ballance
out like y'alls. Yeah, y'all's head space.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
That's by the way.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
That's something I've never understood, like how they feel like
for the camera shot, the heads have to be even.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Gods it, I mean, I know.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
But when I do games, I've been with shorter play
by plays where they'll stand on a box so it's
even and I'm like, dude, you see this guy's belt
buckle right, Like that's not short, Like it's okay to
showcase the fact that I played and I'm bigger than
a guy who's calling the game or like a host
or something like that's okay. I was like, I never
(28:07):
understand that whether it makes such a big deal.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
It's amazing, but I can I can only see a
Q and matts La pals. But I do enjoy too. Yeah,
great show. They probably should have had a bigger guy
in between, y'all, like somebody who played defense and you know,
(28:30):
you know defense.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
You think of I don't know, Aj Hawker, what do
you think?
Speaker 1 (28:36):
I mean, that would be a good one. That but
you know, you still want to have some inclusion, you
know what I mean, you want to have some a
little bit of splash up in there. You know, what
was this Cord LeVar? You know I'm just saying. I mean,
I like when Charles Woodson was there, you know, but yeah,
it probably could have been somebody who you know, could
have probably probably I don't know, I mean who say
(28:58):
they got it right one time. I mean they do
morning radio together, you know what I mean. I mean
they've seen that a good Chemistry's not very many people
that can keep up with Brady Quinn. I'll tell you that. Yeah,
you know what I mean. I hear you just sad.
You know it would have made a lot more sense.
I'll tell you what you need to hit up Dave, Dave,
this happen there? Yeah, No, that's all right? Yeah No,
(29:22):
I like Mark. I like Mark. Yeah would have been
better though.
Speaker 3 (29:27):

But for all the latest from around the world of sports,
it's Eddie Garcia.
Speaker 7 (29:57):
By the way, did I hear correct that Matt will
be in a Leprechaun costume next week?
Speaker 5 (30:03):
All right, I'm gonna put this out there publicly now, Eddie,
because this is such a usc move, Like Reggie would
bet me money on games, like he still owes me
on under bucks from Notre Dame un c like three
years ago, never paid, never paid it. So we make
that bet on air and Matt literally after the games. Oh,
(30:23):
I'm not wearing the I'm not looking. I was like, well,
you made a bet on national television. Bro, Like I
was gonna wear the whole little stupid Trojan outfit. And
he's like, I'm like, well, I mean, you could handle
whatever you want, man, but you're being a sore loser.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
So we'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Hmm.
Speaker 7 (30:40):
That would be disappointing if he did not fallow.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Yeah, I mean, I but kind of expected though. I
had to put on a don't make the bet I
had to do. I had to put on Ohio state
stuff when I bet by what with Beanie Wells. We
did a show, we did a call, and I lost.
Brady had to wear he would have he would have
had to put my letterman jacket on. I would have
(31:03):
had to put on a Ohio State pancho. I said,
I'd rather be wet out here than put on Ohio
State pancho. And that's what led to the bet and
then we lost. I put the poncho on. I ripped
it off like Superman or the Hulk, but I did
put it on. I did. I was with you guys
that day in Columbus.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
I came on get lose yeah, get it, lose, real loose, lose.
I hope he got lose. God, dang Sam, I know
I'm loose all the time. Twenty seven eleven.
Speaker 7 (31:39):
Maybe yeah, maybe the pain will have subsided by by
that time.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
I sure through, I sure hope.
Speaker 7 (31:49):
Well, let's check out on Sunday's action from Week six
in the NFL, we had two teams suffering their first
loss of the season, h both somewhat surprisingly forty nine Ers,
though losing in Cleveland of the who had PJ Walker
at quarterback nineteen seventeen Cleveland with the big win. Now
San Francisco did have some losses in the game, running
back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, offensive tackles Trent Williams,
(32:11):
all going down to injury, and they still had a
chance to win it forty one yardfield goal final seconds
of the game. It goes wide right and the forty
nine Ers drop two five and won. The Eagles also
five and one after losing to the Jets on the
road twenty to fourteen, Philadelphia's first ever lost to the
New York Jets. They were twelve to zero all time
coming into the game. Jalen Hurts three interceptions, including one
(32:31):
late that set up the Jets game winning touchdown. Buccaneers
are five and ecuse mean Lions are five and one.
They beat the Buccaneers twenty to six. Jared Goff over
three hundred yards passing a couple of touchdowns for Detroit.
Dolphins are five and one. They beat the Panthers forty
two to twenty one. Miami running back where he mostered,
had three touchdowns, two rushing, one receiving. Carolina oh to six.
Sunday Night, it was the Bills no points to the
(32:52):
first three quarters, but they get a couple of Josh
Allen TD passes in the fourth pull out of fourteen
to nine win over the Giants. Jaguars outscored the Colts
thirty seven to twenty. That's nine straight wins for Jacksonville
over Indy. In Jacksonville, Bengals down the Seahawks seventeen to thirteen.
Raiders over the Patriots twenty one to seventeen. New England
now one to five on the year. Jimmy Garoppolo did
(33:14):
leave this game in the second corporate of the Raiders
with the back injury. Didn't return. Vikings over the Bears
nineteen to thirteen. Chicago quarterback Justin Fields left in the
third quarter with a thumb injury. Rams beat the Cardinals
twenty six to nine. Commanders over the Falcons twenty four
to sixteen. Texans beat the Saints twenty to thirteen Houston
and he hits third win this year they had three
all last year. And in London, Ravens over the Titans
(33:35):
twenty four to sixteen. Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill left the
game with an ankle injury. Postseason baseball opening game of
the American LEAUE Championship Series, Rangers shut out the Astros
two to nothing. Texas starter Jordan Montgomery six and a
third shoutout innings and three lew was combining on the
five hit shutout. Now back to Quin Brady Quinn, Lvar
Arrington and Jonas Knocks the Tyreck dot Com. Fox Sports Radio.

All right, all.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Right, Jonas, what are you got going on?
Speaker 7 (35:47):
Man?
Speaker 3 (35:48):
I think actually Edmund Garcia, the Majestic, Yeah, Edmond Garcia,
all right, So Eddie, what are we looking at here?
Speaker 7 (35:55):
Well, as you guys probably know, I missed several days
last week because I went to this rock festival where
it's like one hundred thousand people there, and then hell, yeah,
I got COVID. Hit you with I got COVID.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
That's how you feeling. I'm okay?
Speaker 3 (36:12):
But was it in Indio?
Speaker 4 (36:13):
Yeah? It was an Indio.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (36:15):
The problem was I came home and got my wife sick,
got everybody else, and now she can't go to the Chargers.
Now she claims she's not mad, but she's mad. She's mad.
She is, she's upset.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
Now the question is, are you still going to go.
Speaker 7 (36:36):
No, no, no, no, definitely.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Are you guys going to sell them?
Speaker 7 (36:39):
Yeah they are, they've already been.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
So oh yeah, I was gonna say Cowboys, that's a
hot ticket.
Speaker 7 (36:44):
No, she but she, uh, you know, she's the Charger fan.
So she sold them to friends. So okay, was no
no profiting in it. But at least we didn't you know,
we weren't out money either. So but yeah, she's she's
I hope the Chargers win tonight because because uh, but
she has to sit there and watch it on TV
and they end up losing.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
She's gonna be even if it ends up being one
of the greatest games, that's gonna be h.
Speaker 7 (37:09):
That could be a source subject too.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Well, at at least you're feeling better, you know.
Speaker 7 (37:13):
Yeah, I'll tell her that way. Yeah, we're sitting on
the couch watching the game.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
It's gonna be okay, you know, just just tell her
they were going to play the game of quaal com.
That way, she won't miss out, you know, So you
just get get rid.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Of that.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
All right, anybody else got Jonas.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
I don't want to say I was proud, but I
should have been embarrassed, and I wasn't. So we have
this growing up. There was this church carnival we would
go to every year, and it was it was a
couple of blocks from our house. Yeah, a couple blocks
from our house, and they would do a carnivals they
would call it the Fall Festival every year and so
as kids we would always go, like our parents would
(37:51):
take us every single year. That was like a big
big to do growing up. And so now I'm getting
to take my son, which is really cool. And this
was the first year that he's gotten to really partake
in some of the games because he was still a
little bit too young. So no, no, he did not,
but it probably would have been a little bit safer.
They have this dime toss where they've got a bunch
(38:11):
of different mugs and glass wearing things like that on
a table that spins around and you throw dimes and
try and get it in one of the glasses and
whatever you you hit, you end up taking home with you.
And so he doesn't really get that concept of it.
He just likes to throw things. He wants to throw.
Whether it's football, baseball, he picks it up.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
He just wants you will and your son into band
a cord.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
He loves it. That's all he wants to do. We
go to the park. He doesn't want to play on
the swing, so he doesn't want any.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Part of that.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
He just wants to throw the ball around.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
And listen, you guys have seen him. He's got he's
got kind of a halitzer, you know, like he can
sling it a little bit.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
How is this an IR story about it?
Speaker 1 (38:51):
All right?
Speaker 3 (38:52):
So here's why. So we're throwing the dimes at the
glass for in the middle, and he's overhand throwing it
as hard as he can, and he's winding up like
a picture. At one point he's he throws one so
hard it goes across the enclosed area and hits some
(39:12):
lady right in the chest. I mean, like a like
a paintball.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
Are you saying chest?
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Now, it's not helping my brothers. My brother's with us.
He just turns his head because he's laughing so hard.
My wife can't breathe, she's laughing so hard. My sister
is laughing. I'm the only one making direct eye contact
with this lady because I'm so proud of him that
he that he was able to get it across that way,
that she thought I did it. So then so now
(39:44):
you know, she was kind of upset about it. So
I did what any decent parent would do, and yeah, yeah,
that's that's all you do. So that was my my
I R was.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
She was, she that upset about it.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
She was just kind of like, what is happening here?
We should be throwing these in the middle, trying to
get glass wear and I just got hit with a
direct shot right in the store, you know, two year
twenty feet away. Yeah, things happening, Yeah, thats happened. That's
that's my eye arm.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
You know, if you if you're not willing to get
down and cook in the kitchen and get out of there.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
You know, although I will say this, there was no
shot Notre Dame was going to lose that game because
that they were playing that game on in the parking
lot of the church at the Catholic Church.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
So there was no way that Notre Dame was losing
that game to us. So there you go.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
You know, all these USC fans were there watching. It
was meant to.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Be all right, okay, you know all right.
Speaker 3 (40:43):
To shots out to the to the Knox fan Catholics
don't need Trojans.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
They don't need them, they don't need them. Nope.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
