of stories that are out there in regards to the
New York Jets coming off that big win over the

(01:40):
Philadelphia Eagles, knocking them from the unbeaten ranks on Sunday.
The first of which is, you know what, the same
old story that we've heard about several times before. Garrett
Wilson not a big fan of the turf there, the
MetLife turf, which I thought was changed or altered at
least at some point during the off season. So he

(02:01):
tweaked tweaked himself a little bit there during the game
on Sunday, and he spoke about not being pleased with
what the conditions were, Like, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
It's tough, man, because I'm you know, you're out there
running and all of a sudden your leo legs ain't
in the same place your head as a you know,
and it's kind of like, well, what's the difference.

Speaker 6 (02:18):
Between the weekend and now? And then you look down
and you see the surf.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Yeah, but yeah, man, everyone's got a plan and everyone's
trying to trying to do what they can with it.
And you know, I'm figuring it out. I'm trying to
stay healthy and that's all I'm I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Leave that there.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, he also called it garbage and not a big
fan of the field conditions there.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
What exactly does your feet aren't where your head or
what does that even mean?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Well, I think he was expecting.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
His feet to be where his head work.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Well, I just you know, where they would normally be
on a grass surface. Maybe my guess, just a guess,
but you.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Know that sounds like an excuse to me. I mean,
I know you you know, I understand health issues and concerns,
and I think that's a real thing. But you still
you still got to perform. You know, you still got
to know the surface that you're playing on. And I
mean that may change from from moment to moment, I guess,

(03:19):
But I mean, if it rains, is he going to
complain about it raining if he's on grass? I mean,
what you know, at some point, you know what the
circumstances are, and you adapt and you adjust and you
address issues like that where they need to be addressed.
I think when you keep coming out to the media

(03:39):
about it, and you keep talking about certain things like
that as it applies to you personally, it just comes
across as an excuse. I mean for whatever it is
that you're dealing with, and nobody really wants their hair excuses.

Speaker 7 (03:53):
Is this more of a shot at what did Johnson?
I mean, is not that your owner, Like he's the
one who supplies or can make decisions this turf.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Since they share it with the giants. I was wondering
that as well too. Do they just split the cost
on changing it or do they pick themselves?

Speaker 1 (04:08):
They safe gone cost?

Speaker 6 (04:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Are they fifty to fifty on it? Because he could
be taking a shot at the mayors in the uh
in the Tisch family, you know, two families.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Man, is this is like a New York family crime,
like you know what I'm.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Saying, like a surface a turf surface crime. Yeah, told stories,
you know.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
Yeah, the giants fishes the maras in a battle royal
to figure this one out.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Yeah, the conspiracy to put more bodies with Jimmy Hoffas
you know.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, is the Metal Lands still Where is the Metal
Lands get torn down? Did that get taken down? Is
that where met Life is at? I'm just asking because
i know RFK is still still there, so I'm just wondering, ka.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Is still there? But isn't the new arena almost like
exactly in the same space as where the old one is?

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Not quite sure? Yeah, I'm not quite sure how that's done.
You know, just like a lot of the old time stadiums,
like you know, Joe Robbie Stadium is still there in Miami.
You know, a lot of those old time venues are
still there.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
So, you know, they were trying to sell the Dome
and in Detroit on the Silver Dome, Yeah, they were
trying to sell it. You what could you get for
the Pontiacs, so they said, I mean they were selling
it for like a couple million dollars.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Don't blame me, Steve Stadium. We're giving it away. So
here's the the other piece of information or the other
piece of news that came out, or speculation is probably
the better word for it when it comes to the Jets.
So Aaron Rodgers and we talked about this yesterday, he's

(05:54):
walking around no crutches. He was out there pregame throwing
the football around like he's really far ahead of schedule
when it comes to his recovery. And Marty Jeremillo of
CBS Sports HQ, he's their injury expert, he says that
Rogers returning this season is a real possibility and they're
floating out potentially week fifteen. So I don't know, and

(06:18):
we kind of broke down the potential of the Jets
being in the conversation for a playoff spot. I want
to see it happen, just because we've never seen anything
like it before, so it's historic. But at the same time,
watching Rogers try and come back. If he does come back,
by then with whatever he was doing to get right,
whether it was listening to Dolphin's hump or whatever was

(06:40):
happening there, with this new procedure he got done, I
would be watching that like I watched Alex Smith return,
like just almost not wanting to see him take a hit,
not wanting to see him run, not wanting to see
him because if he comes back from this and then
pops it first game back, now we just go back
to square one and then who the hell knows whether

(07:00):
or not.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
He can come back.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
So I want to see it happen. But I'm almost
scared for Aaron Rodgers that he comes back and reaggravates
it or re injures the achilles, if he comes back
before you.

Speaker 6 (07:10):
Tore your achilles?

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Is it?

Speaker 7 (07:12):
Do you worry about the achilles that's prepared as much
as you do the other one? Like I know sometimes
they say that with knees, because you spend so much
time repair, you know, trying to build up your your
acl and that side when you injure it, that the
other side ends up taking all the stress and the
wear and tear from kind of limping around and favoring it,

(07:34):
that that ends up being the more concerning side.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
How is it with achilles?

Speaker 1 (07:38):
So good question. I think you worry more about the compensating,
Like it could be your knee. You could jack up
your knee, like tear your knee up. Also other parts
of it, other parts like your back or your your hips.
It could it could be your other achilles. Tenant, It
generally isn't the end part that's being rehabbed, that's healed,

(08:03):
that that is the most concerning. It's it's the other.
In fact, that's how I tore my achilles tendont because
I had gotten surgery on my right leg and my
right knee and had been overcompensating with my left leg.
And you know, one thing leads to another. But it

(08:24):
definitely is a thing when your body tries to overcompensate
and rebalance for what it's not getting from one particular
spot of your body. So I would say that probably
would be the concern is his balance, like, what is
his balance like with what it is that he's doing
physically in those moments.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
It does help that it's not his plant foot right,
that it's not the right and it's the left instead.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Does that help you?

Speaker 7 (08:49):
Yeah, it's not so much that it's I wouldn't consider
it like his plant. It's more of his push right,
like the way you push up in the pocket. So
that's that's how it kind of describes it, because that's
what's going to give it the most wear and tear.
You know, when you drop back, whether it's a five
three step, whatever the drop is, you can anticipate that

(09:10):
last one. It's the movement that you aren't anticipating that
requires a higher amount of intensity on your body. On
those ligaments and tendons and joints, and it's the it's
the reactive ones. So once he gets back to that
last step, it's then just every subsequent push up in
the pocket, move in the pocket that's going to be

(09:31):
stressful on that injury. But in this case it's his
left so it's not it's not quite as bad. I
just worry about I Felix to take off and run.
That's a big part of his game. He could be
creative and extend plays and create big plays. But you know,
kind of similar to Joe Burrow with the calf injury,
he might be more of a sitting duck back there.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
God, I'm looking at their schedule brutal, but there are
some I mean, there are some games that you know,
like there, you know it's the Giants. You know, after
the bye week, they've got the Raiders. A couple of
weeks after that, it's in Las Vegas, and then you've
got Atlanta sitting there, You've got Houston City. Like, there's
some winnable games for the Jets in those spots. And

(10:14):
if they are, like we were talking yesterday, just around
five hundred with a shot to get into the wild
card and Rogers sitting there Week fifteen and they're at Miami,
a big division game like that, I mean, is.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
That going to be possible in the AFC? That to
me would be the bigger question, like you can you
can do it? And and there their particular you know,
their particular division, would that be feasible to think that
they would be in the running for a wild card?

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Well, I mean, you don't have to worry about the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
So but that's the only thing you don't have to
worry about.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Well, let's you want to just start eliminating teams in
the AFC from playoff contention right now, Let's just start eliminating,
all right, So the Patriots, the Broncos, the Titans. Appreciate
your time, have fun, and then we'll get back to
you on Draft night. And then after that you've got
teams that are mixing at the bottom that'll probably get

(11:13):
weeded out, like the Raiders.

Speaker 7 (11:16):
Did you see the Titans or the Titans in there? Yeah,
Chargers charges are two and three right now.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I still think there's there's a pulse there. There has
to be, because why because I picked the Super Bowl,
That's why I'm already pot committed on the Chargers. That's
why I need them to be alive. Okay, the Raiders,
they're still in it.

Speaker 6 (11:39):
Three and three, all right. I mean, I'm just saying
they're still in it. We don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Jimmy Garoppolo got shivved by an invisible man shived. I got,
he's got internal like almost had internal injuries. And I'm
looking around, going, okay, who filed down a toothbrush and
stuck it in him when he wasn't looking in Vegas?

Speaker 6 (11:59):
What did I see this for?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Like he goes out with a back injury, He goes
to the hospital and Josh mcganna' is like, well, we
avoided internal injuries. What do you mean? What happened? Like
his spine broke and went sideways into his into his liver. Like,
I don't I don't understand how that happened. But he
can't stay healthy. You got, you got Brian Hoyer and
Aidan O'Connell, and then you've.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
Got to look they got to win out of it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
I just said, I there's at least the possibility the
Jets could be in a position to wear Week fifteen
at Miami, all right, Let's.

Speaker 7 (12:32):
Let's play a more fun game, all right for the
next couple of minutes. I'm in which AFC team drops
out of the current playoff picture. So we have Kansas
City with the number one seed right now, if the
playoffs were to stop today or start today, excuse me,
Kent City at number one, Dolphins at two, Ravens at three,
Jaguars at four. By the way, they've won what three

(12:54):
in a row, Bills at five, Steelers at six, Browns
at seven.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
I can I go first? Yeah, all right, the Pittsburgh Steelers,
thank you. We appreciate your service. We appreciate everything you've done.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Three on, dude, Like you know that that makes LeVar mad?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
You doing this?

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, but make me mad? But I think I think
we all come on, Eddie, Eddie just threw up a
middle finger, like what you can't be happy with? What?

Speaker 6 (13:24):
All right?

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Like?

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Yeah, have some class and dignity here on this show, Eddie,
How dare you.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
If anything moon him? You know?

Speaker 6 (13:30):
And then spread the cheeks.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (13:32):
Whoa? So they did a Michigan statement.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Sam, it's been a long time since we read buttoned?
Was that a real?

Speaker 6 (13:41):
Is that red button?

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Do we go to the red Light District.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Definitely, Like I'm just telling them how to do it.
At Michigan State, they don't move you in the normal way.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
You know, Eddie, are you happy with the current state
of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Defensively it's fantastic, but offensively there's
some things left to be desired.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yeah, obviously the Matt Canada needs to, you know, have
the moon shot his way.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
I won't go any further.

Speaker 8 (14:13):
Sam's sweating, but no, I'm not.

Speaker 6 (14:18):
I'm not thrilled with it. But you know, I think
you took too much delight in that. I saw the
joy in your eyes and the tone of your voice.
There's no need for that.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Well, yeah, you're right, Eddie, and I apologize.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Right, it's hard to it's hard to assume how the
North may play out. Like the Bengals are at the bottom.
It's just hard to assume that they would stay at
the bottom the entire season. I mean, they have had
their struggles a little bit, but I just don't I
don't see them staying at the bottom. And then the

(14:49):
Browns that was an interesting win, you know, them knocking
off the forty nine ers. That legitimately makes you under
ken the Brown's you know, kind of turned this into
a season. So it's it's really difficult to even think
that there's a possibility that the Ravens may not stay

(15:11):
at top of the AFC. No, wo, that whole thing
may kick it out the Ravens. Man, I'm just saying,
the whole thing may flip through that fart.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
No, I know exactly what it's only, let's what is it.
Let's go let's sake, because you and I have been
burned a couple of years in a row by the
Ravens and so a little jaded with what Baltimore is.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
I mean, and it's always happened later in the season
where we see Lamar like his health gets away from him,
and then the season kind of follows Lamar's departure from
the games. I mean, it's like they literally ske the
bit last year. Last year was the year.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Both years, yeah, kind of years. It's like playing the
same It's like playing the same numbers in Latto. You
want the one week that you don't play. You want
to make sure that those numbers don't hit because you
don't want to feel like an a hole. So now
maybe you and I are like, all right, we hope
Baltimore doesn't do anything this year because this is the
one year we haven't picked him.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Maybe that's is that is that the by the way,
where where they win the power Ball?

Speaker 6 (16:12):
Someone want at this pai morning?

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Yeah, it wasn't always what was the name of it
it is or some crap like that, it's a racket.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
Yeah, there's something going on.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Ye I agree. So, by the way, speaking of power Ball,
the Jets to make the playoffs on DraftKings plus five
hundred five to one if you want to get paid.
So for those of you out there that want to
throw down ten bucks, you can win on DraftKings.

Speaker 7 (16:39):
We should probably go back to the initial point of
the conversation Rogers injury. If he does come back by
week fifteen, Like this, this medical expert is referring to,
are the Jets still in the playoff hunt? Like, what
does their schedule look like between now and then? They're
a five hundred team? Now, can they maintain being five

(17:00):
by then?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Okay, you want to go down game by game, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Just I want to see if there's a chance that
they end up with a shot for him to come
in and be the savior of those final A few
weeks by.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Week coming obviously this week. Then they're at the Giants.
That could be a win, all right, well at the
Giant homes. Then they're They've got the Chargers on Monday
Night football at home.

Speaker 6 (17:23):
I mean that's a long trip, long trip for the Chargers.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Yep. Then you've got at Raiders and at Bills back
to back.

Speaker 6 (17:31):
Weeks, all right, Raiders obviously more winnable than Bills.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Yes, And then you've got the Dolphins and the Falcons
at home.

Speaker 6 (17:40):
Okay, so Falcons more winnable.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
But yeah, Now keep in mind that Dolphins game at
home is Amazon Prime Video, so that is a short week, short.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Week, late the season. I just want to know if
Taylor start popping up at different games other than Kansas
City games.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
No, no, no, she's.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
She's trying to give every network a taste.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Yeah, one, one tight end at the time. Please, it's
not a great here.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
It's spicy today, boy.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Also, the Prime Video game that is the Black Friday.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Whoa, oh jeesz, it just is doing this, Joe.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
It's I call that all right, But what we at
least agree, You're.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Just so excited when you get to throw that out there.
It's justified.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
That's just what it's called now, all right. So when
they week fifteen, they're at the Dolphins, but they finish
up home against the Commanders at Cleveland at New England.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
So that's two tough ones.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Well, I mean, who's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Well, Washington and the other one, I mean everyone but
New England. Is that where we're at washing Its not bad, No,
but they're not bad. That's saying they're great. I'm just
saying that that's that's not easy. That's not easy game.
It's not a gimme game.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Yeah, well, it's at least a possibility, So it's up.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
I mean, is in every game of possibility.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
I'm saying Rogers return, Rogers return and then making the
playoffs is at least a possibility, which is fun, fun
to watch. So there's that, all right, Two pros and
a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio LeVar Arrington, Brady
Quinn Jonas Knocks of the Year coming up next from
the tire rack dot Com Studios. There is some interesting
movement in and around the world of football, and some

(19:30):
of it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. We'll explain what
that is for you right here on FSR be sure to.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Catch live editions of Two Pros and a Cup of
Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and Jonas Knox weekdays
at six am Eastern, three am Pacific on Fox Sports
Radio and the iHeartRadio app Who who.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Uh something about the rhythm that makes me one of
the them bound? The rhythm them makes me woon.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox
Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox of the air.
Coming up in a little over fifteen minutes from now
from the tire rack dot Com studios, We are going
to have another edition of would You Rather? So? That'll
be yours here again a little over fifteen from now
here on FSR. So uh, Apparently somebody here is not

(20:26):
happy with the college football rankings, some of the polls
that are out. Now, there's the AP, there's the Coach's Poll.
There's some discrepancies, there's some differences there. The good news is,
Brady Quinn that the college football playoff rankings are just
a couple of weeks away. So Halloween night, while everybody
else is trick or treating and rifling through King size

(20:48):
snickers and malt balls and whatever other garbage is being
thrown in a basket in front of their kids' mouths
so they can go get cavities and go to the
dentist for seven hundred dollars a visit. We're going to
be watching and breaking down the first college football playoff rankings,
but until then, you get the craft that's happening between
the AP and the coaches poll, so you know.

Speaker 6 (21:07):
It's fun.

Speaker 7 (21:07):
You know what's kind of interesting about the difference between
like college football and the NFL is the NFL granted
only thirty two teams, but like they don't need rankings,
right because it's the NFL, and we see the records
and what people do which kind of make you know,
make up for conversation because they don't have rankings.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Is they do power rankings, right? Yeah, yeah, let's see
those power rankings. And then in college football there's so
many darn teams you got to rank them because you're like, well,
we don't know, like there's some team that's like the
middle of the pack of one hundred and thirty what
two hundred and thirty one teams in FBS?

Speaker 6 (21:44):
Is that are they good? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I mean we say top half the NFL, you're you're
a top sixteen team, you say top half in college football,
It's like, yeah, they're the top sixty five.

Speaker 6 (21:53):
You know, hits a little different.

Speaker 7 (21:56):
It is interesting that we still do the Coaches Poll,
we still do the AP pole, and I don't know
why because ultimately it doesn't really matter until.

Speaker 6 (22:06):
We get to the college football playoff.

Speaker 7 (22:09):
So the one that's probably the most insignificant is because
it's not as historic as the Associated Press or the
AP pool is the coach's pool. And what's crazy to
me is like they still make the coaches do it.
It kind of feels like it's more for framatics or
a tradition than any other reason. But it's also there's
always extreme bias in it, Like, for example, the SEC,

(22:34):
if you look at like where they have Tennessee, Old Miss,
and Bama rank, they're all three ranked higher, and then
the coaches pulled in the A people.

Speaker 6 (22:45):
It's like it's almost like.

Speaker 7 (22:46):
The coaches are using it as a way of I
try to advertise that their teams are better than what
they seem. And I know there's gonna be some people
who will challenge me and say, well, these coaches are
the ones playing and watching film, and they've got a
better field than the Associated press. Look, I'm not questioning
their football acumen. I'm just questioning the motivation behind it

(23:06):
and how realistic or how real it is with when
they choose to rank teams and how they rank them.
I mean, for example, Notre Dame beat the snot out
of USC this past weekend. Yes, he is still ranked
higher than Notre Dame the coach's pool. Does that make
any sense? I mean, at least there's elements of the
AP pool. Regardless of what you think their football acumen is,
there's elements of it. You go, yeah, that makes sense,

(23:28):
Like you're not gonna put se ahead of Notre Dame,
or you know, this SEC team's got you know, one
loss or bad loss, has played a week schedule or
two losses, they shouldn't be ranked as high as theyre
or maybe they shouldn't be.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Ranked at all.

Speaker 7 (23:42):
Like, at least there's some of that and appreciation for
other conferences. But you get in some of these like
polls in college football, and it's like nothing matters until
the actual college football playoff. I get to this point
in time the year, I'm like, why don't we still
do all these other polls. Just have the AP poll
and get rid of the rest of them. Nothing else matter.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
You know what I noticed as well too. Does anybody
here think that Oklahoma is the best team in college football? No,
because they got a first place vote in the Coaches.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
Bowl, Which what should you think that came from?

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Well, probably Oklahoma, Like Vedic bals is voting away, like
making sure nobody's looking over his shoulder, like I just
I don't like. There's just there's too many, man, there's
too much going on. And then we get to you know, Halloween,
all this stuff will get sorted out. But you know,
we're getting three verse seven this week. Although and is
it fair that Penn State got dropped a spot in

(24:33):
the A People like, is it fair they dropped down
to seven? It would have been so much night that
three versus six matchup, like they were pumping up, you know,
on on big Noon, Like that would have been so
much more fun. Now that's going to drop down to
A seven, Like, I respect what Washington did, but come on, man,
let's let's keep this. Let's keep it top six, all right,
Let's keep it three verse six. Let's make this happen

(24:54):
they're still playing spices up.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
They're playing. They're playing a number three, number top top
five team they're playing.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Yeah, but if none of these polls mean anything, then
why don't we just finagle it around a little bit,
you know, make it a three verse four. Tell Florida
State to kick Rocks pick a step back, let us
get a three to four matchup.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Well, I like the position Penn State team right now,
Like it is interesting. I mean, Penn State drummed you
Mass which Okay, did I tell you what my best
bet for college football was last week? It was the
under of that game, and my logic did not play
out well. So I thought with Ohio State coming up
next week, like they would give up like fifty two

(25:35):
to nothing and then just try to run the clock out,
you know, put in a bunch of backups or like
other players because UMass is awful.

Speaker 6 (25:42):
I mean, they won one game all year, but I
thought for sure that game they are.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
I thought for sure they'd hit the under in that game,
and nope, Penn State just kept kept beating the life
out of U.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Mass. If there's any of the second string, Bo's pretty
good too. BO could be starting. I'm not that they're
not good. I'm just saying if they're deep though, that's
the thing. It looks like they're they're deep, like their
backups are starter caliber.

Speaker 7 (26:09):
I know, I think you reasoned the point though, Like
my whole thought was like they would just really try
to run the clock out, like you're taking up almost
all this forty.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
Seconds, run the ball every play.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Put u mass out of their misery and yeah, yeah, no,
this is a team that's it seemed personal. I think
the whole I think everything's personal to this this this group. Yeah,
you know, I think they're just they're really just trying
to get better, and I know they know what's at stake.
I mean, when the games you're supposed to win but

(26:43):
be prepared for, like these are the you know in
the Big Ten, these are the games you get judged for. Yeah,
you know, there's there's two games that you get judged
for at Penn State. It's Michigan and Ohio State. You know,
I don't know what it counts for for Ohio maybe
may Ohio State. No judge Russ. You get judged if

(27:03):
you beat Ohio State and if you beat.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Michigan last you lose last three games Penn States outscored
their opponents one th to thirteen.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Yeah, it's going to be beat last. I don't know.
I don't know that. This is the first year where
I look at this matchup and I say the front
will be able to both fronts offensively and defensively. Defensively
for Penn State will not be inferior to Ohio States.

(27:35):
This is the first time I feel confident in saying
that in a really long time, so speaking, and I
think that's going to be the difference.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Speaking of the Big ten, do you see Michigan's now
the favorite on DraftKings to win the national title?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Right, So I try to.

Speaker 7 (27:50):
Tell y'all like good that now that has a lot
to do with the Brocks going to ask you yeaheah.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
Now he's he's.

Speaker 7 (27:56):
Getting he got surgery I think yesterday or today and
or he's getting surgery today and he's gonna get that
type rope procedure done, which means the window is like
four to six weeks depending on his recovery and how
fast he can get back. You know, the last time
we talked about that really at length was to a
tongue bai LOOA yeah it right.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Well, yeah, he ended up getting two done.

Speaker 7 (28:20):
But more more in particular was when he was coming
back to try to play LSU back when Burrow was there,
and that was that like three week window. I think
it was to get back to that game, and he
did not look healthy, you know, like I remember like
watching him out there playing and taking hits and still
trying to move around. So I even think four weeks

(28:43):
for a tight end someone like Bowers is wishful thinking.
If he does, more power to him, and I pray
that he's gonna be healthy. But to me, I look
at him and say, it's it's probably close to that
six week window.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I mean he's a top potentially what I mean, top
ten pick for sure, an.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
Well, don't know about that. I mean the promise that
is a position.

Speaker 7 (29:04):
When you're a tight end, it's tough to say, oh,
you'll be a top ten I mean it's a tight
end though, like they're not valued the same. If you've
got a quarterback that goes before everyone else and then
you look at edge, tackle, cornerback, wide receiver, all those
positions will take precedent over at tight end, regardless of
how good that tight end is.

Speaker 6 (29:23):
That's just the reality of football.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
How many skill position players other than Marvin Harrison Junior
would you take ahead of Rock Bowers right now? If
you're drafting, it's.

Speaker 7 (29:33):
Tough because it doesn't matter about skill position players because
then you got to incorporate dbs too. It then comes
down to how many other tackles and edge rushers too
you're gonna take in front of them. There's two tackles
for sure, the tackle at Penn State the tackle of
Notre Dame.

Speaker 6 (29:46):
They'll both go top ten. You got Caleb Williams, Drake May.
I think JJ McCarthy on Michigan if he comes out,
would be that third quarterback.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Taken over Pennix.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Yes, wow, Pennix.

Speaker 7 (30:00):
There's a lot of I mean, first off, he's looked,
he's had a phenomenal year. But you have to understand
how NFL evaluators look at Michael Pennix. He's got an
injury history that will be concerning, and it's a sixth year.
Like when I say it, and I'm kind of talking
tongue in cheek, there's an element of NFL evaluators that

(30:20):
are like, well, no crap, dude, he should be able
to tear up college football after he's been there for
six years, right, Like I mean, LaVar, imagine if you
were playing six years in college football, people would have died,
like played against you, like it's a long time, like

(30:40):
you would have been they've been like, oh man, that's
what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
And so you just don't see that very often. I mean,
I just.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
By the way my sisters is like a small world.
But my sister's fiance played at Arizona and they played
He was in the same era that Lebar played, and
they played against Penn State, and I was like, I'm all,
this is like going up against Lebar. He goes, oh,
we were terrified. He's everybody was terrified. And Keith Smith,

(31:11):
who's my buddy, who was one of his best friends
on the team, was the quarterback for Arizona. And I
was like, when you knew you were playing Lebar, what
were you thinking? He goes, I'll just run part of it, LeVar.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Could you imagine like just somehow having eligibility and actually
not wanting to go to the NFL and staying for
your sixty year there's some poor tackle that's been there
for four years against you every single time.

Speaker 6 (31:33):
You're like, He's like, no, no, I don't want this cover.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
I don't want he's coming back.

Speaker 6 (31:40):
I don't anymore. Please no, hell, hell got slide this
way for the love of God.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Yeah, let us your hype man, Let's just let us
do it. We'll do it this Friday Man and Columbia.

Speaker 7 (31:58):
Nice, but but back the original point like gets Michael Pennix.
It's just it's how he's going to be evaluated based
on the system. He's thrown to three receivers that have
NFL potential as well. There's all those things. And again
me saying that does it. Like there's two separate conversations.
Michael Pennix is an unbelievable college quarterback. He's going to

(32:20):
be up for the Heisman.

Speaker 6 (32:21):
He might win it.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Literally, he might win it with with Caleb Williams kind
of getting knocked out this past week, him beating Bo Nicks.

Speaker 6 (32:28):
He's the favorite right now. Yeah, he might win the Heisman.
And so how he's viewed.

Speaker 7 (32:34):
As an NFL prospect versus what he's been in college
football this year and in his career are two separate conversations.
And you can be real in one aspect and you
can be real on the other and say, like, dude,
he's gona win. He could win the Heisman. They can
win a national championship this year, but that doesn't necessarily
mean like he's going to be a top ten pick.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Yeah, well listen, JJ McCarthy. He's now second on the
Heisman list. He's ten to one, and then Michael Pennicks
Junior is minus one thirty to win the Heisman. So
that's the the updated Heisman odds. Here it is two

Ryan Day?

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Easy? Yeah, I don't need to answer this, Come on,
James Franklin.

Speaker 6 (35:22):
Hello, man, Lou Holtz, Ah.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Exactly, ain't nobody like please? Allegiances are allegiances, man. I
never say Ryan Day on my death bed, even if
it were true.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Right on, right on, I'm gonna go Steve Spurry or
if we're gonna go that do I played for oh wow,
the old ball coach.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
I don't play for him.

Speaker 8 (35:50):
Fellas, we had brought up ninja turtles the other day.
I don't know why, but we did. Which ninja turtle
would you rather be?

Speaker 10 (35:56):
Leonardo Donatello, Michaelangelo, Raphael Michaelangelo.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
It all depends on the weapon, right, Like That was
how I viewed it, Like if you Leonardo had uh
had what.

Speaker 8 (36:07):
He had the sword the Donatello has the staff.

Speaker 6 (36:13):
Was the comedian Raphaels what do you call it?

Speaker 2 (36:16):
The yeah samurai?

Speaker 6 (36:19):
See, I would have wanted to have those. I don't
know why.

Speaker 7 (36:21):
I thought they looked cool and like you could you know,
you could eat with them or you could also like
dice something up with them.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
The way Gandelo was clearly the coolest. He was a
turtle though.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
What did you call Donatello's weapon the staffs stuff?

Speaker 8 (36:35):
It's like a boys staff or something like that.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Yeah, just a.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
Stick a stick, yeah, but a badass stick.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Yeah, it's good with it. I mean it was basically
the reptile version of Steven Sagall spread out in Four Turtles.
You know, geez telling that stevenag could use all those weapons.
You know, Steve is.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
So like and mastery of what he does. He can
just touch you and you like just fall out.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
He's a weird guy, man.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Yeah, he's got it. He's got it together. Now, he's
got he's he touches those points you know, you got
He's a weird guy. The diagram of the touch points.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
You know, that's a weirdo.

Speaker 6 (37:17):
He can just touch you, and you and you're done.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Yeah, it's it pressure points, it's.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Fight because he has demonstration videos like that. You know,
he just touches you. Bawm. You can drop right to
the ground.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
It's impressive.

Speaker 10 (37:29):
There you go, Fellas, would you rather face a zombie
apocalypse or an invasion of ten foot spiders.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
To take the spider ten foot spiders?

Speaker 6 (37:42):
Ten foot spiders and foot tall spiders. Zombies don't move
very well, right, No, no, no, there's different ones.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
It just depends on which.

Speaker 8 (37:53):
One You'm going to go with the slow zombies on
this one.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
If it's slow zombies, I still it's still people that
you're dealing with, though.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
To deal with you know, y'all deal with it. Yeah,
I'll deal with spiders.

Speaker 8 (38:06):
I feel like I'm more prepared for the zombie apocalypse.

Speaker 6 (38:09):
That's probably true. What else you got?

Speaker 2 (38:12):
Uh?

Speaker 8 (38:12):
Well, I think that's uh. I think that's about it
for today.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
What do you.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
Page?

Speaker 6 (38:23):
Where we are up.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Against it here? You know, we're dealing with some stuff.
