(01:20):
By the way, speaking of buying, I'm in the process,
Brady Quinn. I think you're going to be proud of me.
I got to wear a Halloween costume the Sunday night
TV show that I do.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
And so what are you to be a vampire? No?
I want to show you to the via Superman.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
No, I want to show a little range, all right,
So the costume. I can't give away the costume, but uh,
you know, if you know what game, it's the Sunday
night football postgame show locally in LA. And if you
know what game is taking place emotion I'm just saying.
I'm just saying, if you know what game is taking
place next Sunday night, it's probably not that hard to
figure out, all right. So it's you know, Bears at Chargers.
(02:00):
So my costume involves me having to wear a tie.
Now I don't like ties, and I don't know how
to tie a tie. So I'm in the process of
finding a clip on tie.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Well, I think I know the direction you're going, right,
the Bears, potentially a coaching legend, potentially potentially.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
But I'm trying. I'm trying to find a clip on tie,
and uh.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Well, how are you gonna do that? Though, you're gonna
save a mustache?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
What I listened, I'm not I'm not here to give
away all the details of this guy. You're not even
not even that's that's in the past, right, You've got
to move on, right, move on from what Maybe I'll
be Alan Williams and just have the FBI followed me
to the show.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
You know, wow. I mean, I don't think he's not
He's not no longer with the team.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
I'm just saying, but you need to have a better mustache.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
No, I know, I need a clip on tie.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
That's the clip on mustache, because you got to have
that's the That's the I mean, if you need a tie,
you need to have the mustache.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
You can't grow that much.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
I'm not here to discuss facial hair. I'm here to
discuss ties. I need a clip on tie.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Okay, you find it online, man, you can find everything online.
Just ask Lee or Sam.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
So The reason why I got to ask you this question,
why I brought it up, is because do you wear
a clip on tie when you're doing Big Noon Kickoff, which,
by the way, you can see ten am Eastern time
every Saturday morning on Fox.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
No, I do not wear a clip on tie.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Okay, do you tie your own tie?
Speaker 5 (03:35):
I do tie my own tie. I was taught by
actually ironically my mom. My mom first taught me how
to tie a tie, and then after that I used
videos like online videos on like YouTube.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, it's difficult to do. I see people have these.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
It's not actually that difficult to do.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
So I'm not really a tie guy. You know. I
feel like ties diminish my traps, and you know, I
do shoulder shrugs daily. So the last thing I want
to do is have anything that takes away from my traps.
So I need I need that openness of the caller
or the v neck or the button up shirt just
saying man, yeah, I'm just trying to let everybody know
(04:16):
how this all goes down, all right, So let's transition
smoothly away from that and over to this. There's a
feels like there's some people out there taking some victory
laps on Brock Party second game in a row, struggling
and losing after winning ten consecutive starts. I feel like
there's some people out there that feel like, oh, yeah,
we knew this was the real brock Party the entire time.
(04:36):
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
It's like we would just.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Want to We'll dismiss everything that we've seen over a
ten game stretch, and let's just pinpoint these two games
as being what brock Party really is as opposed to
what brock Party has done over majority of his career
outside of these two games. Why we did Why is
this happening? Why the victory lapse for people?
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Well, because we've gotten to the point now where everyone
just wants to be right about their opinions. I think
this is born out of social media too, because we
have a ledger. So someone puts something on social media
and then I see I said it. There's a timestand
this is when I said it, So I'm right, And
it's like, well, he's got a long career left ahead
of him. Do we want to maybe just pump the
brakes a bit, you know? And everyone's human, Like, no
(05:19):
one's gonna have a completely flawless career. And by the way,
they went up against the Browns and they lost Deebo.
They lost Christian McCaffrey basically in that game and Trump Williams,
and so that's going to hurt you in game. And
the Browns are one of the best defenses in the league.
And then you know, you kind of look at it
last night and go, look the stay what you want.
(05:40):
But on the road, Minnesota's one of the tougher environments
to play, and it's super loud there. Brian Flores and
I had a chance to call their game. I know
what he does every week. He's got all these different
looks for pressure, looks for drop, you know, guys dropping
back into coverage. He really likes to change up the
way they show things to you, you know, utilizing a
lot of differ for nickel packages. So it's a lot
(06:02):
on a guy who's, you know, not necessarily a rookie,
but still a very young player in this league. So
I don't know why it's it's necessary that people want
to throw this stuff out. I feel like you could
see the tea leaves whenever I want to talk about, well,
if he was in a different system, it's like, well, yeah, dude,
of course, And any quarterback on a lesser team is
gonna struggle. That's the reality of it. Even the best guys.
(06:26):
I mean, there's times when even the best guys on.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
The more talented teams struggle. Like it's the NFL. This
is the best of the best in the world at
what they do.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
And so to sit there and think like he's gonna
be perfect every week, I have no idea why now
you want to play in your flag to be like,
see this is it? Get the next guy in. I mean,
he's gonna have some bad games. He's gonna struggle at times.
You know, he didn't have Debo in there. He's not
going to for a little bit that hurts what you
do offensively. So he's still a good quarterback. He's still
been really good early in his career. But he's gonna
(06:57):
have games like he had last night and even the
past two weeks for that matter.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Now, Kyle Shanahan and his head coach did talk about
brock party and those two interceptions that he threw last night,
By the way, first game in Brock Purty's career that
he's thrown multiple interceptions. But here was Kyle Shanahan I thought.
Speaker 6 (07:11):
On the first one to Juan, he just missed the throw,
and I thought he just sailed it a little bit inside.
Had Juwan right there the second one, and then then
their softest can be going down without any timeouts, and
he tried to lob it over a guy who was
really deep, and it looked like the guy climbed the
ladder in midhell of a play.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
And I would also say this when you come away
from that game last night, if you're a Niner fan,
I don't know that I'm as disappointed in brock Purty
as I am the defense, Like their defense did not
look great last night, like they got no.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
And look riser into playing for Ezra Cleveland at left guard,
I thought that helped sure up some of the protection
a little bit. You know, he knows he got signed
on this season. He knows the protection. And this is
an offensive line that has dealt with injuries. You know
that times they've dealt with the injuries of the left
tackle spots, center spot, and so I feel like their
(08:01):
offensive line player is starting to come together too. And look,
they've struggled with turnovers and fubbles, and when you play
a little bit cleaner game, you know that plays a role.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
In it too.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
And they've also got the Cincinnati Bengals coming up this
next week. Kyle Shannon pointed out afterwards, Listen, Cincinnati's coming
off of bye week, and so you know, we realize
they've had a little bit of time to look ahead
to this game. And if I'm not mistaken, was this No?
Your super Bowl matchup was Cowboys Bengals?
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Correct, Cowboys Bengals.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, but I think it would.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
Have been more fun if I did the Cincinnati San Francisco,
which I probably should have in retrospect, but hey, a
lot of football left we play.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Yeah, and I think I think it was Albert Breer
who had a forty nine Ers Bengals and his Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
So yeah, that sounds shocking.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
I mean, all of a sudden, now it feels like,
you know, the Niners are getting tested a little bit here,
So now we get to see how that looks with Cincinnati.
This is probably going to be the healthiest Joe Burrow's
been the entire season, coming off that bye week, dealing
with the calf injury early, and Cincinnati's not a little
bit of a role that seems like a fun one
coming up in the Bay Area between the Niners and
(09:07):
the Bengals here next Sunday. So who knows, maybe all
of a sudden, the NFC starts open up a little bit. Maybe, uh,
maybe the Niners struggle here and now the NFC opens up,
and you got a team like Dallas that could step
right up or Philadelphia, you know, comes in and continues
to hold that one seed. So at least it.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Makes me Philadelphia is already up there.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Yeah, but I think everyone going into the past two
weeks was saying, Man, San Francisco is unbeatable there. You know,
nobody can mess with San Francisco. I mean, that's what
a lot of people felt like that a.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
Lot of people were saying a lot of people felt
that way.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Yeah, a lot of people felt like the Niners or
the team to beat.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
You know, was this part of your Knox locks this
past weekend?
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Oh no, I stayed away from this game smart. I mean,
seven points on the road in primetime. I know it's
Kirk Cousins, I'll pass. And Christian McCaffrey played well last night,
but when he scored that touchdown, they were very gentle
picking him up off the turf, like you could tell
he was still not anywhere close to one hundred percent.
(10:04):
And then the Deebo Samuel what has he got like
a hairline fracture or something like that in the shoulder.
So the Niners dealing with the injury bug there, and
now they get to see how the rest of the
world has dealt with all this fun stuff, you know,
the injuries throughout the course of the season. So there's
your quick look back on Monday Night football between the
Niners and the Minnesota Vikings. Kirk Cousins in Minnesota listens
(10:26):
to a little Creed pregame, They do a prayer and
he goes out and he lights up one of the
best teams in the NFL. Who's now got to go
on a short week and play the Cincinnati Bengals coming
off that bye week. So things appear to be wide
open in the NFC again, which is fun for everybody involved.
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio. He's Brady Quinn. I'm Jonas Knox
with you here, all right, So coming up next here
(10:48):
from the tire rack dot Com studios, there's a team
in the NFL that some people are talking Super Bowl.
They're looking at this team like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
They may have just made a critical mistake as they
try and embark on this Super Bowl run. And we'll
tell you why that is. That's next here on FSR.
Speaker 7 (11:06):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Come on, le you can do better thanat on. Tie
your hair. Look, it is Two Pros and a Cup
of Joe, Fox Sports Radio. LeVar Arrington's not here? Why
do I keep saying that? Brady Quinn, Jonas knocks with you.
Coming up later on this hour, we are going to
close up shop here with another edition of You In
(11:41):
or You Out. We always do that. We put a
bow on this bad boy, so that'll be yours here
coming up. We'll call it a little over twenty minutes
from now from the tire rack dot Com studios. Obviously,
are condolences and thoughts and prayers to the Miami Dolphins organization.
Some sad news that came out yesterday. Obviously, a team
(12:02):
looking to get to a super Bowl. They've got a
ton of talent. They've been really fun to watch, but
unfortunately that has all come to an end because they
have accepted an offer to be on Hard Knocks in season.
So that'll go ahead and wrap up the Miami Dolphins
super Bowl run for twenty twenty three. It was a
great run. It lasted about a month and a half
(12:24):
or so, but the Miami Dolphins will be eliminated moving
forward from any consideration.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
I mean, they've got some great personalities obviously too, is
any really easy guy to like? Tyreek Hill is hilarious
and we'll say all kinds of wild stuff. So they're
gonna be a fun team to kind of fall and watch.
But to your point, man, you know, and I think
the funny thing is this team is the things you
(12:52):
want to learn and understand about them because their offense
is so much fun to watch, and it's so explosive.
Is all the behind the scenes x's and o's, yet
they're not going to share any of that. I do
think it'll be fun to see Mike McDaniel though, and
how he conducts himself and just all of that, because
he's he's a really interesting guy and he's been. It's
(13:12):
been fun to watch him as a head coach, you know,
kind of develop and how he's helped his players develop
and become or maximize their potential.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
So he's got a cool story as well too, like
if he does.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
And hopefully they you know, lean into that and tap
into that as well, so you get to see Mike
McDaniel the person, not just the head coach.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
And look for those of you that are saying, well,
this is in season. It's different than the you know,
hard knocks, preseason curse. Okay, well we've got two examples.
Example one twenty twenty one, the Indianapolis Colts. Want to
know how that season ended up. They lost the final
game of the season to miss the playoffs with Carson
Wentz at quarterback in Jacksonville in what Jags fans were
(13:56):
calling a clown out where everybody dressed up as clowns
the final game of the season in Jacksonville and Indianapolis lost.
That game was eliminated. And that I don't know, because
I guess it was more original than the brown paper
bag move back in the day where people would put
brown paper bags on their head, which I mean nowadays
they're charging ten cents for bags at stores. So I
(14:18):
don't know if yeah. I mean, it is weird how
a dime changed the way people thought about their groceries.
It's kind of weird. There's I see people all the
time that can't carry everything that they're trying to carry,
but they refuse to give that dime over just on
general principle, like they'll drop stuff in the parking lot.
(14:39):
It'll I stand with those people. I agree.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
I stand with that. Listen.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
I agree. It's a bunch of crap. And I hate
when I go to the store and I forget my
bag because it's like, oh man, am I really going
to do this? And the next thing you know, you're
putting stuff in your front pockets and now they're looking
at you weird, like did you pay for that stuff?
And most of the time I didn't, but I lie
to them and say that I did, and then you
walk out. And just as long as you don't have
to give up that ten cents, that's the most important
(15:04):
part of this. So that was the twenty twenty one
version of the team featured in season hard Knocks, and
then last season had no big deal. Was just the
Cardinals and that went well. So it does feel like
the Miami Dolphins have made a critical air here with
accepting this. They do have a lot of personalities, But
unfortunately that'll wrap up the Dolphins Super Bowl aspirations for
(15:24):
twenty twenty three. And then the other story that we've
got to get to the bottom of, the hell's going
on with Bjon Robinson? What happened there? I mean a
little weird and.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
The NFL is trying to investigate this to figure out
why he wasn't on the injury report.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
It sounds like, at least from what's.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
Been admitted, that it was what a headache, migrant something
like that started on Saturday, Bejon Robinson just felt like
he was a bit off and then Sunday going into
it limited touches, which it does beg the question why
you know, he wasn't put on the injury report in
some capacity as questionable at least if he was, you know,
waking up not feeling well, clearly the team at time
(16:04):
to report something and they didn't. So not sure how
it's gonna be categorized. Maybe they'll say he was sick,
Maybe they were saying he was dealing with something else.
Either way, the reason why I think the NFL wants
to crack down on this and investigate is b Jon
Robinson is one of those types of players that changes
how a team game plans, and if you're the Tampa
Bay Bucks, you're frustrated in the sense of you might
(16:25):
have brought more pressure on Desmond Ritter, changed up some
things that you had in your packages because you were
concerned about how you'd match up with Jon Robinson on
third down or in the red zone, or what their
offense looks like. Woul with Bjon Robinson as opposed to
some other pieces. So clearly not having Bijon or not
utilizing him as much as you'd like plays at the
advantage of Tampa. But I think they're saying from the
(16:47):
precedent that, hey, if we would have known, we felt
like we might have been been able to put together
a better game plan for what we were going up against,
you know, given the lack of Bijon getting snaps and
touches in that.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Game, not knowing he was dealing with nailment.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
So I understand from the standpoint of the NFL wanted
to investigate this to make sure other teams don't do it.
But either way, look Atlanta gets the win and the
Falcons get another week to get Bejon back one d
percent healthy. I mean, you'd have to think, look, the
Falcons want to have Bijon if they can't out there, yes,
arguably their best offensive players. So as much as people
(17:24):
want to think there was maybe some sort of shenanigans
going on, I think in this case, it was just
an odd occurrence that happened, and maybe the Falcons don't
necessarily file it or record it the right way because
they honestly thought Bijon might be playing the game.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Here's the part that's kind of weird though about all
of it is so I get it if look, he
pops up game day and he doesn't feel well and
you're like, oh, man, well he's going to try and
give it a go, but he just he's not feeling right.
I get all that because that's happened before. We've seen
that happen before. And the migraine stuff is a real thing. Obviously,
LeVar Is dealt with migraines here doing the show, has
(18:00):
talked about it. Terrell Davis was a guy who famously
had migraines, and even in the Super Bowl they put
him in there. As a decoy to where they weren't
going to give him the ball. They just needed him
as a decoy on a certain play when he was
dealing with a migraine in the Super Bowl. And that
was Mike Shanahan who made that call and he went
along with it. But the part that's weird is Thatjean
(18:20):
Robinson doesn't touch the ball the entire game except for
on the final drive for a three yard carry. And
then they asked Arthur Smith, like, if he hadn't touched
the ball the whole game and he wasn't feeling right,
why in that moment did you give him the football?
And he said, Arthur Smith said, quote, he was in
a two minute situation, gave us three yards and it
(18:41):
was situational football. He changes how people want to call it,
and that's why it's pretty simple. It just weird, like
he didn't play the entire game, Like why in that
moment was it really worth the three yards that you
put him out there? Like it just the explanation didn't
make sense. I'm not saying that there was some sort
of you know, scandal going on or they were trying
(19:02):
to wrong people or dupe people. It just felt like
there was some just the way the whole thing went
down was a little bit suspect, a little bit odd.
But maybe we're just looking for conspiracy theories. Could be theory,
but we would wouldn't you like to find out that,
you know, maybe you know the NFL found out Bejon Robinson,
you know, was taking the place and honoring former Falcon
(19:23):
Calvin Ridley and was placing wagers on the games beforehand.
I mean that wouldn't that make the story better? That
would make the story better?
Speaker 4 (19:31):
Not really?
Speaker 1 (19:31):
All right, it is two pros and a cup of
joe here on Fox Sports Radio. Another situation in the
NFL that we must monitor. The New York Giants. I'm
not saying they have a quarterback controversy, but Daniel Jones
has got this issue with his neck. He has not
played well even before that. And then you got Tyrod Taylor,
who's out there and you know, he's not like he's
(19:53):
lighting the league on fire, but it does feel like
there's something going a little bit more in a pos
the direction for the New York Giants when it comes
to the quarterback play. And then you've got the situation
in Chicago with Justin Fields, who's got the dislocated thumb,
and you've got Tyson Bagent, the rookie Division two player,
(20:14):
the undrafted rookie who played pretty well all things considered
last week, even though it was against the Raiders, who
are not a good football team. I'm not saying we've
got quarterback controversies, but Tyson Bagent will be suiting up
for the Bears and starting this week against the Chargers,
and maybe Tyrod Taylor will get the nod again for
the New York Giants. And it does feel like at
(20:36):
least the conversations are becoming a little bit more interesting
in both spots. Not saying either guy's gonna lose their
job outright, but it does feel like the offense has
looked a little bit different with those two guys at
the Helm than they did with either Justin Fields or
Daniel Jones.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
Oh, just say it. The offense in New York looks
better about Tyrod Taylor. Geez, I mean, that's what you
want to say, just not admitting it, and it does.
The reality is, it feels like Daniel Jones holds onto
the football forever. Tyrod Taylor's getting rid of the football better.
I think he's a more agile to navigating the pocket.
I mean, they're both good athletes, but it just it
(21:12):
feels as if Tyrod Taylor can create a little bit
more than what we've seen from Daniel Jones. So I'm
sure they're being patient with Daniel Jones neck. And look,
they're they're committed to Daniel Jones for the next couple
of seasons, but I don't think they mind riding this
out while the offensive line gets healthier, while they start
to solidify some pieces at the wide receiver spot. It
feels like they're settling in on their group now where
(21:34):
Darius Slayton, Wandale Robinson, and Jalen Hyatt all have their
roles with Darren Waller, who has been their main.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
Piece all year.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
So look that the Giants are finding their flow and
then their defenses come around. So maybe it's not the
worst thing that Daniel Jones stays out until he's one
hundred percent healthy. For the Bears, Tyson beage in is
a great story, but Fields was playing pretty well before
he got injured. And you know, I'm sure a lot
of Bears fans, you know, pull will want to kind
(22:00):
of make a claim for you know, seeing what they
got in Beige and especially if he gets another win.
But you know, Fields is to me still the guy there,
at least for this season until we see where things go.
Bagent is showcasing why he won the backup job. He
looked this way in preseason, and he's obviously a very
talented player, being the equivalent of the Heightsman at the
(22:21):
Division two level coming out of Shepherd. But he's I'm
telling you what, man, what he's doing right now is
going to help prolong his career for years to come,
and based on what happens at the end of the
season with this franchise, he's going to have a shot
to go somewhere else because he's got a great and
act and feel for the way he passes the football,
can shape his throws, and just an overall sense and
(22:43):
field in the pocket. Like his game is very conducive
to what's asked of you at the NFL level.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
I was gonna say, when you watch him, he just
seems like he's relaxed like what he is.
Speaker 5 (22:52):
I mean, he threw for it, put up a ton
of stats, a ton of yards of Shepherd, and so
you know, he doesn't come into the league and feeling
like he needs to do anything else. And I'd made
this comment, but I think it's true to a degree.
When you play at a lower level school, you know,
at each one of the levels, it kind of gets
a little more apparent, like who the studs are, and
when you've got like a guy or two that you
(23:13):
can really rely on, it kind of becomes more about playmakers,
not plays because those guys are gonna find a way
of getting over but even if the you know, the
opponent tries to take them away.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
The NFL is very similar to that. Talent's pretty equated.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
There's only a few superstars that you got and so
a lot of times as a quarterback, you kind of
got to break some rules. You got to just find
that playmaker, whether Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelcey or in
this case, Tyson Bage into Dj Moore. You know, it's
it's understanding that there's gonna be times where you've got
to make a throw to give that guy a shot
in a tight window or in a spot where maybe
(23:45):
maybe you're not coached to or maybe not you're not
you know, supposed to. And I think you get a
better feel for that, especially at the D two level
where there's only a few guys that really stand out
like that. At the Division one level, it's different. I mean,
you could play on a Bama team or on a
I was State roster. We've got three four future NFL
wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
You're throwing too.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
Those guys are going to separate and it'll be a
completely different scenario thrown of those guys versus when you're
a smaller division school played against talent that's a little
bit more equated.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
And I guess Luke Getze, the offensive coordinator, worked with
them at the Senior Bowl and that's like he fell
in love with him, and so he was the one
that was pounding the table like we got to bring
him in when he obviously didn't go drafted. So they
brought him in and look, he beat out PJ. Walker
for that number two job, I.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
Mean the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Yeah, yeah, that's starting quarterback with the two hundred and
thirty million dollar backup. You know, so Tyson Bage it
beat him out, and they asked him, you know, football
didn't work out for you, what was your plan? And
you can tell you just a total mead heead. I mean,
his dad was an arm wrestling champion a Tyson Bage.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
It was just awesome.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
It's so cool and he Tyson Bage it said, my
goal is just, you know, just to CrossFit my ass
off and get ripped and jacked and then go, you know,
be a high school teacher at my old high school.
Just like literally, like I just want to get jacked,
do CrossFit and then go teach at my old high school.
And that's it. And now here he is. He's in
the NFL, and yeah, he's probably gonna end up making
(25:09):
a good amount of money with the way he played.
And we're gonna get to see him on Sunday Night
Football next week against the La Chargers. So it is
two pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. By the way, speaking of southern California, how
about Santa Anita, tell me about it because the Breeders Cup.
We're in the final stretch to get tickets to horse
racing's biggest moment of the year. The world's best are
(25:31):
headed to Santa Anita for the Breeders' Cup World Championships
on November third and fourth. The countdown begins now. Get
tickets today at Breeders Cup dot Com. So coming up next,
we are are coming up shortly, we are going to
have another edition of You and and You out here
on Fox Sports Radio. But for all the latest from
around the world of sports. He's our arm wrestling champion.
(25:52):
He's Edmund Garcia.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
All right, thanks Jonas. We will start off with Monday
Night football in the NFL with the Vikings knocking off
the forty Niners twenty two to seventeen. Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins,
who did not have star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, was
not sacked once in this game, ended up passing for
three hundred and seventy eight yards and two touchdowns. Both
went to wide receiver Jordan Addison, who had seven receptions
(26:16):
for one hundred and twenty three yards, tied in TJ.
Hocketson reeled in eleven catches as well. For San Francisco,
quarterback brock Perty had two fourth quarter interceptions. He had
one touchdown pass to running a back Christian McCaffrey, who
did play with the oblique injury. McCaffrey also had a
rushing score as well, but not enough. Forty nine Ers
dropped their second game in a row after a five
to zero start. To the season for Minnesota, they improved
a three and four with their first home win of
(26:38):
the year. NBA season starts tonight with a pair of games.
NBA champion Nuggets host the Lakers, Sons are at the Warriors.
And one note from the NBA Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis
tet Tokoumpo it's a three year, one hundred and eighty
six million dollars max contract extension. Now back to Brady
Quinn and Jonas Knox Inthtyrack dot Com, Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Man, it's good to at the NBA back. I'll tell
you that. It's great to have the NBA back.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
Oh yeah, yeah, I mean the the you know contract.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Yeah, right in the middle of the resting, Yeah, the
NFL season. It's great. The yeah, brilliant move by the NBA. Yeah,
it's I just don't get it. I don't know why
they continue to do this. I don't know why they
think this is a good idea to tip off their
season right now. I just it's just too much going on. Man,
(27:25):
You're in the middle of NFL college football and the
MLB playoffs and they're like, oh, what about us? Yeah,
what about you? None of your guys are going to
play the first you know how many games of the season.
So it just seems always seems like a bad idea,
but they continue to go through with it. So enjoy
your NBA. By the way, Lakers, I think plus five
if I saw in that game against the Yeah, I mean, listen,
(27:48):
you know it's not like Jokic, you know, stays in
the best shape in the offseason. The guy's out running
around with horses back home, and then you know, looks
like he's going to be hitting the bottle a little bit.
You know, a lot of carbontake. Just feels like the
Lakers have got a red ass about what happened last year.
Maybe they come out and surprise him on banner raising night,
you know in Denver. You know, we'll see right now.
(28:11):
It is time, though, for the progressive play of the day.
Sixteen seconds to go in the first half. Cousins on
third and six, pick blitz. Like Pete said, so, Cousins.
Speaker 8 (28:19):
Fires over the middle and it is Wiston twenty ten touchdown.
That time Jordan Addison stole it from Charburius Ward and
it's a sixty yard touchdown and the Vikings fright in
the shadow of halftime and they lead sixteen to seven.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Fox Sports radio affiliate Kfan on the call. That is
your Progressive play of the day. Progressive is making things
even easier. They'll help you bun to your home and
car insurance together so you can save on both. Learn
Moore Progressive dot com or one eight hundred Progressive. Who
do you got? You like Paul Allen or you like
Scott Zolac better?
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (29:00):
Well, first off, they're different, different jobs. You know, Paul
Allen does more than play by play. Zolac does the
color analysis. So to me, they'd be like the perfect
combination of fun in the booth. But both do an
incredible job, Just an incredible job between the two of them.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
How many throat laws andes you think they would go
through in a game they did a game together.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
I don't know, but I would pay money to be
able to sit in there and have a few beers
with those guys where they watch a game.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Oh yeah, like that.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
That to me would be an experience in and of itself.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
By the way, next time you call a game, why
don't you have me sit up there?
Speaker 4 (29:36):
You know, well you don't travel, What are.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
You talking about? An I'm an expert traveler. Now you
know you're not, aren't you.
Speaker 5 (29:43):
Called it's a hassle to have to travel.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Oh please please please travel with me enough, Please stop Mike, listen, Lee,
I haven't checked a bag unless I was forced to.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
It's not even that like a lost you have a
hard time finding bathrooms.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
You're just a liability. And then you like people for
each food leading.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
What is my only requirement when we go to an airport,
lots and lots of water. I have to have water,
like multiple like giant bottles.
Speaker 5 (30:10):
Will get that's the problem with the bathrooms because he's
got a peel all the time, and so you're constantly
waiting for Jonas to find a bathroom.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
He would take a let to go to the bathroom.
Speaker 9 (30:18):
That's pretty true.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Yeah, we had it's percent.
Speaker 10 (30:21):
We couldn't find water at Lax, so we had to
stop all the way.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
We had on the way.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
There's no water here.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
I gotta have water because.
Speaker 5 (30:29):
There's no water in airport, even though they're filled with
different shops.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
In the water.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
The checkout, the checkout wasn't working Jesus. And the place
Lax is a dump. What I tell you, the place sucks.
I tried to tell you yesterday it's the worst airport
in the country and you went DFW.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
In fact, you had to stop to get water, like
you couldn't wait to get home.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
No, not in that traffic. Such a weirdo Friday rush
hour traffic. It took us forty minutes to go from
Lax to Sherman Oaks to drop Lee off at his car.
Speaker 9 (30:55):
I think it was longer than forty.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Actually, yeah, it.
Speaker 5 (30:57):
Would be good to like, actually deprive your body, have
water for a minute.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
React on me a little tougher than that.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Gotta stay hydrated. But I'm saying you should have me
up in the booth with you, though, Like, I think
that would be a good idea. When's the next time
you're coming?
Speaker 5 (31:11):
I'd honestly rather soil myself and do the entire Come on,
when's you crap my pants and stand up there for
four hours in call a game?
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Can we can we send that out? Via Twitter, Brady
Quinn says on Are he'd rather crap his pants than
have Jonas sit in a booth while he's calling a game.
What do you call it? When's the next NFL game
you got? Because you're doing another one?
Speaker 4 (31:30):
I think the middle of December.
Speaker 5 (31:32):
I've got one coming up potentially the beginning of January.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
All right, well listen, I mean, I'm just letting you
know you got my number. All right, We're gonna go
home and step in.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
I do have the number.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
I mean, they might have to go to the bullpen
and bring me in. The next thing, you know, Dave
Coelo is making a call, going all right, so I
guess you call this game. He's awesome, He really is,
all right. So coming up next here from the tire

Speaker 5 (34:51):

that because I did offer to work. Oh well, branging reveal,
and I was like, wait a second, that's trick or treat.
That's not gonna work.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yeah, that's not gonna work. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (35:04):
My girls would literally kill me, like my my three
little children that I've got. Obviously we have a baby,
but he can't do much now, those three little girls
would try.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
To kill me. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
Well, listen, you made a smart choice.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Oh no, I have to actually tell work. I can't
work now, So you're killing your father.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Larry Jesus, he's not wrong.
Speaker 9 (35:27):
You got guys. You guys kind of kind of beat
me to it.
Speaker 10 (35:31):

the Diamondbacks and Phillies. We have Week nine college football,
New Mexico State versus Levia in Louisiana.
Speaker 9 (35:39):

my way up the list here.
Speaker 10 (35:43):
We actually got Eddie still in studio we had I
was helling you, I was reading up on this. We
got NHL Edge, the league's fucking player tracking system has
just launched this new tracking thing where fans could track,
you know, maximum skating speed, everything that you'd want to see,
distance they've skated, shot, and save locations.
Speaker 9 (36:01):
Looks pretty cool.
Speaker 10 (36:02):
I don't know if Eddie has been checking this out,
this NHL Edge tracking systemat.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Great Timingly he's got He literally has a mask on
because he might have COVID volume two, and Lee goes
to him to say, hey, your thoughts on NHL's the
Edge package. The guy he's trying to leave there. I
thought we were talking about him.
Speaker 9 (36:28):
Sorry, Eddie, I'll move right along.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
Good mask on.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
It's uh oh wow at Nolo Sky.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
You know he's gotta.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Goes to him or listen. I care about one thing,
and one thing only in the NHL, and that's my
good friend Jack Johnson. That's right. Go aps, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:48):
Go aps who are lighting everything on fire?
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (36:51):
Do you want something that's not sports related? We got
the Milli Vanilli documentary on Paramount Plus. Feature length documentary
Steps Inside the Biggest scandal.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
In the out.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
I'm in first of all, they had bangers, and I
don't care who their songs come out. I don't have
proof of that.
Speaker 9 (37:09):
I think they only had like one big hit.
Speaker 4 (37:10):
Right good either way, it wasn't even their song.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Yeah they do we have that? Do we have that
in the system? Oh big? Michael Jackson lip sings. Everybody
lips sings. Come on, that's right, yeah, he does for
his life.
Speaker 9 (37:25):
He did live.
Speaker 5 (37:26):
Yeah, well, if it was a live performance, it was
actually now cereal.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
It's tunny how that scumbag gets a pass?
Speaker 4 (37:34):
All right?
Speaker 1 (37:35):
What do we got to Milli Vanilli? Come on, Sam,
we got to send this out strong. We had to
listen to Creed earlier and that awful Marlin song. Come on,
fraydy you tell me. I don't care who sings.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
Yeah, here it goes, here, it goes, Get it, Jonas.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
It could be Millie Vanilli or Jack the Ripper. This
is a banger. Come on, Oh.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
Come on, we have to build up to the chorus.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
Yeah, okay, it's so good man, get a Jonas. That's
not too good.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
No, it's not.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
The course is good, though. I would rather Creed really
just me? Yeah, I think so? Come on, man, Oh Sam,
what are you doing. Come on, I was trying to
get ahead to the chorus. Here, No, there, there it is.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
You.
Speaker 1 (38:25):

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Oh you're not a mustard guy either.
Speaker 4 (38:51):

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Why are you so racist against mustard?
Speaker 5 (38:55):
What's wrong with the It's not racist, buddy, I just
