The way tire buying should be eighteen degrees?
Speaker 1 (01:34):
What do you mean? I'm sitting here looking at the
weather channel and there's some places right now where the
current temperature is eighteen degrees. Oh god, bless you. Good.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Good.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Meanwhile, out here it's like eighty and forty mile an
hour way. It was really real?
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Is that really what you're looking at? When you'll count
the weather channel?
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Oh, how cold it gains? Yes, some of the prices, Yeah, yeah,
I do, because I feel I kind of feel bad
for them, you know.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, No, I don't doubt that. I just I feel
like I'm calling BS on.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
That I see what you did, I see what you do.
In this particular moment, there was only graphics of how
cold it was in certain places. There was nothing else
on on the television at the time. Yeah. Yeah, it
didn't show elevation of any type of any sort. There
were no mountains, no hammers, no nothing, yeah, nothing, just
(02:32):
just just temperatures. That's the truth. He's right, Yeah, that's
the truth.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
He's right.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
I mean, yeah, that got awkward. No, No, I mean
you know, if you know, you know, if you know,
you do know, because when you know, it's it's knowing
is half the battle. And you know G I Joe. Okay,
there you go. That was that you didn't know that
knowing is half the battle? Come on, man, is that
(02:58):
a lyric from G I Joe? You didn't watch They
used to give you a lesson. Then they used to
give you a lesson at the end of every single show,
and then they would tell you now you know, and
then they wrap it up with G I Joe. Yeah,
there you go. I was a big G I. Joe
fan obviously the cartoon you know, not me. Yeah, you're
(03:18):
too young football, only you guys are too young. It's
way I work. Well.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
Speaking of football, the NFL's trade deadline is coming up
at four pm Eastern time today, and I will say this,
this is the one thing where the NFL is lacking
in comparison to other leagues because it doesn't really feel
like there's ever a big time deal, you know, like
Jimmy Garoppolo going to the Niners years ago, that was
a kind of.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
A big time move. McCaffrey.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
Yeah, but like, I don't feel like there's a like
teams are looking around, man, we need a quarterback. Like
it just doesn't you know, the NFL doesn't really get
as busy as say the MLB trade deadline does, the
NBA trade.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Deadline, all of that.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
But we did have one move that was made in
the NFL yesterday that we can talk about, and that
was Leonard Williams, who has been dealt from the Giants
to the Seahawks. The Giants in return get a second
round pick in the upcoming draft and then also a
fifth round pick in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
So Seattle nasty.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Yeah, and it feels like Seattle's getting aggressive, and it
also feels like the Giants are like what you know,
eight weeks in. Yeah, that'll but that, you know, that'll
pretty much wrap up I want who else do you want?
I mean, it does it does make you wonder. I
(04:38):
don't know which is the you know, the the more
fun conversation here, whether it's Seattle or the Giants. But
it does make you wonder when everybody was questioning their
decision making on Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley and who
to sign and who to franchise and all that. It
has just not gone well for the Giants this year.
They are a shell of themselves of what they were
(04:59):
last year. And now they're sitting here selling off pieces
and a guy who, yes, he was in a contract year,
but if this is the team from last year, they're
not trading away Leonard Williams. And here the Giants are
looking around after one of the worst football games you'll
ever see. I saw Plexago Burr said he may not
go to another game this year.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
I could watch this as from the couch. Wow. Seeing
enough of the Giants for twenty twenty three, he said. Yeah.
So he had to apologize. He had to father Sundays,
he had to apologize to his son. He took him today.
D Lee, that's bad. That's bad. They are bad. That's
(05:37):
a bad football team.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
What stave Ball is gonna do just gotta, you know,
you deal with what he's got. Daniel Jones is back
at least there's that he could start against the Raiders,
So there's yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
I mean, and that was interesting because remember originally they
said Daniel Jones was going to be out for a
couple more weeks, Tyrod Taylor goes down, Tommy DeVito comes
in that you could tell they didn't have much confident
in Tommy Devita throwing the football around, and now Daniel
Jones is throwust it back into the starting role. So
kind of interesting how that all worked out. But Albert
(06:13):
Brier talked about this last week. If you're the Giants,
you might find yourself in a spot where you can
draft potentially a first round quarterback. And I'll tell you what,
outside of Caleb Williams and Drake May, it's going to
be all over the map for how the rest of
these quarterbacks are viewed in this class. I was looking
at an article that was kind of going through the
(06:34):
top ten quarterbacks for this upcoming year draft eligible.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
I should say, and.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
I mean, to me, all over the map for what
you're going to see out of all of them, because
like Schadeur, to me, is one of the most interesting prospects.
Given how you know we saw him, we could do
it at Jackson State. He comes to Colorado, he's slinging
it around, super accurate, his poised composure, how he's making
(07:00):
plays despite not getting great protection, and you know that's
that's a system that yes, it's it's pass happy, but
there's a lot of things you watch him do you're like,
this translates to the next level.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
So he's gonna be interesting to see.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
Jaj McCarthy is gonna be interesting to see based on
how Michigan does that he does this year because he's
been a stud so far.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Quinn Ewers is hurt right now.
Speaker 5 (07:23):
And you know, probably didn't have the type of season
that's been able to kind of wow a lot of evaluators,
and so maybe he's a candidate to come back for
an additional year.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
But you know, you go through this.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
List of draft eligible guys, it's it's gonna be really
interesting to see how after Caleb Williams and Drake May,
who are the consensus I think one and two and
whatever order you want to put them in, I still
put Caleb number one.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
The rest are going to be really interesting.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
And that's probably who the Giants are looking at, because
I don't think they're gonna be able to get up
to the number, you know, number one or number two pick,
or be able to take either of those first quarterbacks
at least where they currently sit.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I'd be afraid to take a quarterback outside of the
first two, the straight locked guys. If I'm the Giants,
I'm just afraid of making that type of investment. I
almost feel like I'm going for something else because of
how much money I paid Daniel Jones. I'm gonna go
for a receiver like I'm going to go for someone
that could be a game change. Like, let me ask
(08:25):
you this, do you think Marvin Harrison Junior would still
be there at the pick? Could they get high enough
to get him?
Speaker 4 (08:32):
If Arizona is picking in the top two and they
believe in Kyler Murray, there's not a shot in hell
that Marvin Harrison Junior gets past.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I gotta be honest with you. He's, to me, hands down,
the best college football player in the.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
Le He should probably wouldn't the Heisman Maserati, Marv, you mean,
let me, he.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Should probably wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Heisman's grow man. That's a grown man. There's a grown man.
Like that's just it's amazing. So what he's able to do,
and he's done it back to back. Is he six ' four?
His dad was that. It's not that. No, his dad
probably wasn't. He probably broke six foot on a good day.
(09:14):
I think maybe five eleven five six foot listening. Yeah,
Marv was little, but but Junior is like I got
to see it up close. I got to see him
up close. He is every bit of what what the
hype says he is, maybe even a little more. He's
really good. He's really that good. He's a catch.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
Like every time he's targeted, if the balls at his vicinity,
at a minimum, you're getting a defensive pass interference and
obviously you're getting either a reception or a touchdown at
a max for that. So I just you, I would
say right now, because because people are like, well, Kim's
not playing as well as last year. And that's the
one hard thing about the Heisman conversation is Caleb won
(10:00):
it last year and much like Lamar Jackson when I
made the case Lamar should have won it two years
in a row because I thought his next year he
was equally as dominant and as incredible, but they didn't
have the same type of team success, which impacted him
Caleb Williams could fall in the exact same category. They
have a lot of football have to be played, but
(10:20):
because of the lack of team success, potentially it impacts
hidden then even though he's been pretty solid this year
as far as one of the best players in the country.
And so that's the hard thing for Marvin Harrison as
a wide receiver is like his team's success will play
a factor in it, which is good so far. I mean,
the rankings come out tonight for the College Football Playoff,
(10:42):
do not be surprised if Ohio.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
States not number one.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
I'm telling you right now, I know people are gonna
take contests with that about Georgia. They're gonna say Michigan
because they've been dominant two this year. Don't be surprised
if Ohio States not number one. They've got the two
best wins of the season, top ten Notre Dame, top
ten Penn State. And if we went on the old
BCS model, that's who'd be number one right now. And
(11:08):
that's a lot of times how close the College Foball
Playoff Committee is aligned with the old BCS model of
doing it. So anyway, Marvin Harrison has a lot to
do with that. But my general point is in a
year where you've got a rating Heisman Trophy winner who
it's perceived to be not having as good of a season,
(11:28):
and then.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Who else do you throw it to after that?
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Pennix?
Speaker 5 (11:31):
I mean, Pennix has been good. He's been slowed down
the past couple of weeks though, so he's up there.
I mean, bow Knicks would be the next guy to
me next to Penix. I think it's those three Pennix,
bo Knicks, and then Marvin Harrison Junior, and I think
Marvin Harrison Junior from you know, basically the start of
the season, once they started could start get him the
football has been the best player in the country consistently.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Yeah, I mean a lot of times you base obviously
the momentum of what you were able to do the
year before. That plays a mate apart and you're getting
the consideration the year up. If you think about Marvin
Harrison Junior, they they probably win the national title if
he doesn't go out hurt in that Georgia game. I
was at that game too, and let me tell you.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
They have a chance to play for it. But yeah,
when we're assuming they.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Beat I mean, it was he was basically the difference maker.
And then you think about it comes down to one
last drive with with CJ. Stroud and and they leave
it up to the field goal kicker. I don't know
that it even comes to the last drive. The way
Marvin Harrison was serving it up. I think they end
up winning that game.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
They've been a wide receiver factory. Is he the best
of the bunch. He's special, man, That dude is special.
Like just watching the way he moves and his route
running and his awareness, it's it's he's just he's different.
There's been some people out there that have been hoping
for this h You know, Brady, you know a lot
(12:55):
of Bear fans. There's Bear fans that are looking.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
At the Jocks indemn that man's career.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
Well, I'm just I'm just saying that they're looking at it, good,
fair opportunity. I'm just saying they're looking at it, and
they're saying, all right, if Carolina finishes, or the Bears
finished with the worst record in the NFL and the
other team is second to worst, and they're picking one
and two in the draft, both those picks belong to
the Bears and they're.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Taking I mean that'd be like the equivalent of when
you took Jonathan Ogden and Ray Lewis. Like, imagine that
you bring in two Hall of famers and and it
yielded a super Bowl, And that's a linebacker and alignment
two of the greatest ever. Imagine if you brought in
two of the greatest ever at receiver and quarterback in
(13:38):
today's NFL, that would be quite quite a uh, quite
a change of fortunes for the Chicago franchise. Yeah, they
could use it at some point, well, they certainly could
use it, but it is there's no bs in that,
you know what I mean. You think you think we're
gonna get twenty three? Yes, I hear you.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Yeah, you think you guys think we're gonna get any
big deals at the deadline. I think this is gonna
be like just you.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Know, buzz kill, Yeah, buzz kill Tuesday.
Speaker 6 (14:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
I just don't see anything significant happening. Yeah, I don't
see it. Nothing, No quarterbacks, no nothing. I think speed
typing should be a sport in the Olympics. He's one
hundred and thirty eight words a minute.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
I think that the only one is the Vikings, and
so that's the only one I look at and think
it'll be interesting to see what happens with Jamis or
Josh Dobbs. Maybe there's a surprise candidate a part of
that group. But that's the you know what's interesting too.
Us think about Matt Ryan. He is a part of
(14:48):
a three man booth. Like I wonder if CBS was
aware of his desire to potentially go back and play,
because he kind of outwardly said it like I'm not retired,
I'm just you know, MSUs to be the right situation
or however you worded it. But he is a part
of the three man booth. So it's like if he left,
I mean it, you know, it is what it is.
But they still have another, you know, analyst there to
(15:10):
call the game.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Which, by the way, he's actually a pretty good analyst.
Matt Ryan. Yeah, I got to hear him call games
because he's doing it with Tiki Barbera correct.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Yeah, I would say, I mean, look, I'm biased.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
Most quarterbacks are because they see the game kind of
similar to a coach, right, Like you got to know
the defensive side, you know the offensive side, and you're
kind of thinking along the lines of that. So it
helps I think when you, you can have that sort
of perspective that you're kind of portraying to people out there.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio, Tavar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox
with you. So coming up next here from the tire
raq dot Com studio, somebody in the world of football
has decided to break their silence, well kind of. You'll
hear from him and it's yours right here on FSR.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with break Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Sam take your mask off, Dude, I like it, Sam,
I like it. Sam. Yep, yep, yep. Yeah, you guys,
send that to me, Send me that video. You gotta
get a front you gotta get a front version. Oh yeah,
there you go.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox
Sports Radio, Savar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox of the air.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Happy Halloween.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Coming up later on this hour, We're going to have
some special Halloween themed questions for you most NFL, but
some non NFL.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
We're gonna drop those in your lap. Coming up here.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Put those in your little candy basket and we'll call
it about twenty minutes from now here from the tireroch doc.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Put those in your little candy bass. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Whatating? By the way, what time do you guys start
trick or treating? Because daylight Savings hasn't ended yet, and
it feels like more of a after dark kind of ritual.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
We do trunk trunk retreat. What's that like? You know,
parents park in a like safe environment like a high
school parking lot and put candy in there their trunks,
and you trick or treat from trunk to trunk, trunk
or treat. Huh, then you go on home like it's
(17:36):
just kind of safe. I just I don't know. I
just don't believe in it. I just don't believe in
people anymore, man. I just I don't know that old
school way of going out and jacking people for their
candy bags and going up to all them houses and
stuff like that. It's just like we live in a
dangerous day and age.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Man.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
You know, one mistake, you know, so it just takes
one mistake. So I don't know, man, that just you know,
we might go to, Uh, we might go to is
it Disney or something? To that is a universe? Howel
they have the Halloween horn Nights. Yeah, they've already done that.
There's there's another one for like kids that that my
(18:16):
daughter wants to go to. Then we might go to that.
They might go to that. I'm not really into it. Yeah,
what about you? I've got nothing. What am I going
to do? What you're gonna do? You lives in one
of them neighborhoods though, like it's you know, they they
probably leave like you know, like car keys and stuff
like that outside in a basket like very fancy. They
(18:39):
bring out oderbs like, uh, caviar on pizza.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
Caviar last year, a daughter's got caviar not mistaken? Probably
So is that the case accurate? Is that an accurate
statement or not? No participation points there testing all right, Well, uh,
you know, congratulations to anybody out there who gets out
and get some caviar basket.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Uh that's you know, I just tried caviar on pizza
for the first time when I went to see when
I met my best friend, my new best friend Wolfgang Puck,
you know the Wolfgang Puck. You know, I had a
sam and pizza with with caviar. It was really good. Yeah,
that was really good. Take your word for it, all right,
So Jim Harbaugh, let's talk about him. Let's let's talk
(19:24):
about him.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
So he's got this little investigation going on because you know,
they had somebody on staff who was, you know, taking
videos of opposing sidelines. Now, it's amazing how fast the
NCAA investigation process works when they really want to get you,
because normally it takes a long time, but this one
is really sped up. And so you know, they're they're
questioning coaches on the staff and everybody's getting involved, and
(19:48):
everybody's thinking, Okay, this could impact them this year. There's
even a report out that if he is punished, that
it could bleed over into the NFL as well too,
that maybe he would also be suspended a couple of
games in the NFL. That was something that came out
via NFL dot Com. But Jim Harbaugh did speak with
the media yesterday about this report that was out there
(20:09):
that Michigan had a contract offer on the table but
it was rescinded, and also just sort of what's happening
with this whole investigation and Jim Harbaugh, as Jim Harbaugh
likes to do, kind of answered both.
Speaker 7 (20:22):
Jim, there was a.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
Report last night that he had a contract offer. Rescinded
you say if that's accurate or not.
Speaker 6 (20:31):
I wouldn't say that's an grit.
Speaker 8 (20:32):
No.
Speaker 7 (20:34):
And the university has a policy. I think they made
a stigma right there, Yes, of a policy on contracts
and publicly talking about him. I think it was worded
something like they don't come out about him until after
they've done.
Speaker 6 (20:49):
Kim, I know you said that you can't, but I
wonder if there's something you would love to say if
you could right now, Like are you having to invite
your talking about stuff that's out there? I mean, I'm
with you, I'm with you in the in the situation,
but you just have to let it play out, cooperate
(21:10):
with the investigation, and.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
And watch how it plays out.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Got a whole lot down there with you. It's awkward. Yeah,
I'm just going to see how it plays out.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
So so so here we are kind of waiting for
Jim Harbor.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
I didn't know about that policy, right Jonas, Like you know,
like that was where it basically states that, well, you
don't talk about contracts in them until they're done. And
then he looked over to him, Yeah, that's right, that
is true, Right, that's correct. I love it all right,
So I just can't say anything to y'all, like, how
(21:53):
much of.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
This has to do with it being Michigan and Jim Harball.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
I think it has everything to do. I think it
has more everything to do with Jim Harbaugh and then
whatever comes next. But I don't really know what the
agenda is here.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
I guess what I'm saying is if it's a smaller school,
doesn't matter as well.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Think so. No, I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
I just and I've told you guys, and everyone's writing
different articles about it. And the funny thing is, like
from knowing the people who are writing the articles and
then hearing what it talked about and talked to coaches
and stuff I've said before and I'll continue to stand
by it. A lot of schools do this, and people
(22:37):
will contest to say, well, not to this degree, No,
to this degree, to this degree, they do, and they're
trying to find an edge. They're trying to find a
way of winning a national championship. I mean, these head
coaches are paid a lot of money, as we heard
the caller tell Dabos Sweeney earlier, and they're paid a
lot of money to win national championships, and so you
(23:01):
will try to find whatever edge you can and whatever
way possible, even if it's you know, blurring the lines
or taking advantage of an outdated rule potentially, and who
knows how much of it was directly on Jim Harbaugh
versus an over zealous staffer, which is more information comes out,
seems kind of interesting his background and his desire to
(23:24):
be a leading Michigan at some point. But and I'll
continue to say this, regardless of the advantage that you
feel like it creates for your team or for an opponent,
there's still an element of execution that must take place.
And that's where I feel like lost in all of
this is the success that Michigan has had and us
(23:47):
taking away from what the student athletes have accomplished. I mean,
it'd be one thing if we found out that Kirby
Smart was doing it because they won the national championship
the past two years, and it would feel a little
different if that was the case. Now Michigan has won
the Big Ten championship the past two years, but they
have won a national championship, Like they're still kind of
building towards it. And so even though there's an advantage
(24:11):
to it, and I've kind of pointed this out, like
the viral clip that went around from the Ohio State game,
like that play literally led to an Ohio State touchdown.
So whatever advantage that supposedly mission was getting from it,
And I'm sure you can point to other instances where
they've they've played well and they've won games, but it
didn't work on that play. And so I just kind
(24:34):
I kind of sit back and think about how lost
in all of this, and I think ticked off about
all this are probably the players because there now it
seems like what they've accomplished the past two years has
been diminished because of the conversation of what's going on
on the outside. And hopefully they fix it soon and
just go to the coach, the quarterback. We don't have
(24:55):
to have these dumb conversations anymore. I mean, if you
really study up on it, TCU was well aware last
year in the semi final game of Michigan, you know,
doing this, and so what they do. Every single thing
they did was dummy, was a dummy signal. There wasn't
one thing that Connor Stallions did that allowed Michigan to
(25:15):
have advantaged. Now, I'll say this, obviously TCU won, but
if you really go back and look at it, TCU
won because Max Duggan played his tailoff and played his
heart out and willed that team to win. There were
broken plays, there were plays where he took off and
just ran and just did that thing. And so I
don't know that even had anything to do with the
(25:36):
signal so much. It's just like one guy deciding he
was going to play, you know, and not let.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
His team lose.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
No, I'm sorry, go ahead, Yeah, I was just gonna
say when you see TCU come out and say, well,
we knew this was going on, and other schools in
the Big Ten say we knew something was going on,
and other coaches. There was a coach who approached Connor
Stallions and said, hey, I know what you're up to. Like,
all of these schools knew what was going on, and
now it's coming out. So my question is, if you
knew what was going on and it was such a problem,
(26:06):
why didn't you say anything? Then, which means either you
just didn't care or you were probably doing something similar.
And so why would you call anybody out on it
if you knew they've got something on you?
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Potentially? Isn't that up?
Speaker 5 (26:18):
Some of the schools are and weren't doing it to
the magnitude that Michigan was where you know, you read
about all the different schools they're scouting. They were just
doing it to the ones that were the big ones
on their schedule and the ones they may face in
a bull game.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
He's coming off of being suspended for disciplinary actions already.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Self impost self impost truth.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
But nonetheless suspended and disciplined. Where like, what is the agenda? Like, so, okay,
now it comes out that there could have been a
contract offer, was it rescinded? Was there ever one made?
Where are they at with that? It just seems as
though the focal point is on Michigan and is on Harball.
(27:05):
And again, I'll continue to say this, I don't know
how comparable it is in terms of the details internally,
but just looking at it from the outside and the
articles that I've read and I've seen, you know, in
terms of the reports, it just seems like this is
playing out like ASU, and I think we all know
(27:29):
how that played out now. Granted ASU was not winning
when they let everybody go, well the main people that
they let go in and the coaches being involved with violations,
but it just seems eily similar that. It's like, why
is it going to Why do things continue to keep
(27:50):
coming up? It's like, okay, you you it's the recruiting situation.
Now it's stealing signs. It's like, will it will? Does
this stop when Harball is not the coach on this
coaching staff?
Speaker 3 (28:05):
Oh? Probably?
Speaker 5 (28:06):
And I've tried to portray this before and this isn't
a secret, but we're manual there. Athletic director and Jim
Harball not on good terms.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
So I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
However, this the contract negotiation, all this stuff becomes public
knowledge because of questions in a press conference, I'm sure
all of it. It feels like it's a bit by design.
But there's not a good relationship between those two right now.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
And that's not a secret.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
You know. Anyone who's followed this and followed the NCAA
investigation previously for the recruiting violations during COVID and has
followed kind of what's transpired over the past couple of years.
It's they're they're not on they're not on good grounds
with one another, and so it feels like I'm not
(28:59):
I guess I go as far as saying like, and
this is what I wonder is if there's some element
of if Jim Harbaugh wants to leave for the NFL,
they're like, yeah, good go, We'll find someone else to
replace you. We appreciate what you've built, what you've done here,
but we'll find someone else to continue to build upwards
from this and we don't have to deal with you
potentially look at ANFL team every off season and dealing
(29:20):
with some of the other stuff that's come along with it.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah, I wonder how much of a power struggle this
like is this based off of like? Because when you
think about it in college, if you're at a football
school and a school like Michigan, you'd have to assume
the most powerful person is a successful football head coach,
(29:44):
and so if you're the athletic director, even if you're
the president of the school, there could probably be a
very very blurred line as to who's really making decisions
and who's dictating decisions as to what direction things are
going in.
Speaker 5 (30:02):
It's not very often that you negotiate your contract with
someone who's and ultimately who makes that decision, who gets
paid less than you?
Speaker 3 (30:14):
Right, Like, think about that.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
Like oftentimes in the business world, whoever you're negotiating with,
they make, they make more than they if they're just
the decision maker ultimately, if they own the company, if
they're running the company, they're running the athletic department. Right
in some cases, like you said, they make more than you.
But to your point, like, if you're a successful head
(30:38):
coach at Michigan, at Ohio State, at Alabama, at Clemson,
you're making more than the athletic director, the guy who
ultimately makes that decision.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
You you impact the state. You're helping run the state.
You're not just helping run the school, You're helping run
the state for all intents and purposes. That's a pretty
powerful position to be in. And I just wonder is
there is that discord between the ad and Harball. Is
that what is kind of is that possibly what's playing
(31:11):
out here?
Speaker 4 (31:11):
Yeah, it feels like they could be in the final
stretch there. And speaking of which, we're in the final
stretch to get tickets to horse racing's biggest moment of
the year. The world's best are headed to Santa Anita

Coming up again top of next hour a little over
ten minutes from now, Just Iowa. Sam's really getting into this. Oh,
I mean, I think it's pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
It is.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
It's kind of creepy, but like kind of cool at
the same time. Hey, somebody dressed up, oh Leada and
dressing up.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
Yeah, he looks like one of the Marleys.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
I thought that was a costume. All right.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
Now, thanks for that, man, but thanks for driving the
bus right over top of me.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
But I feel like I feel like there is going
to be a fan base. It's going to be very
happy because Lee. Because Brady threw out some questions Halloween
theme questions NFL and one non NFL, and Lee added
a couple of more to these. So let's go ahead,
lead the lap, take it away very special halloweenen themed
edition base Well, we always got to start with who
(34:26):
is the scariest team in the NFL?
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Right now?
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Chiefs? The Chiefs?
Speaker 5 (34:33):
I mean, come on, what other team with thirteen seconds
left can come back and give.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
You nightmares for the rest of your life?
Speaker 4 (34:40):
If you're a Bills fan, I'm taking the Bengals Orange,
orange and black Joe Burrows.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Back get the theme, So the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
I think the scariest team right now has to be Baltimore. Oh,
I think they're scared scary because you just don't know long.
I just don't know. They could get you, but they
might fall off the slip.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Edgar Allan Poe is that we're doing that?
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Yeah, yeah, okay, suspenseful? Yeah, I love it. I love it. Guys.
Speaker 9 (35:15):
Who's the baddest mofo that you would not want to
go up against in the NFL?
Speaker 3 (35:19):
Right now?
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Who is the Jason Voorhees, the Michael Myers, the Freddy.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Miles Scart, Miles Carrett.
Speaker 5 (35:23):
I mean, he's already wearing Halloween costumes, but he's a
bad man.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
He's a scary man out there.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
I'm gonna go Tyreek Hill. J C.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Jackson signed an eighty million dollar contract and got traded
after going against Tyreek Hill to open the season.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
I'm gonna say you had to go against them again.
I'm a defender. We're not wired that way. So I
don't have one. Oh, come on, var, I don't have one.
Here we go. What about I'm I'm I'm the boogieman. Yeah,
I'm not. I'm not looking for a boogie man. I
am the boogieyman if I'm out there. It's just a
(36:00):
different mentality. You know, you got a quarterback in and
uh yeah, there's.
Speaker 5 (36:05):
No lineman that you look at and you're like, I
would not want to see that man standing over top
of me, you.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Know, or in my doorway.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
I actually wanted it, like I wanted to hit Larry out.
Yeah what if Larry Allen was still playing? Yeah, but
just because he blew me up didn't mean that I
didn't want I wanted the contact. If you could imagine
that I'm wrong being scared, I'm the devil. That's correct. Hell,
that's correct.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Sam's unloading his clip of bringing.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Bringing hell down with me. Yeah, all right, I got
a thing about dead bok guys. I just got to
ask what is your favorite scary movie.
Speaker 3 (36:47):
I don't have a favorite because I hated him all.
I don't like scary movies.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
The Candy Man is my favorite because it was the
first time a black man scared the s out of me. Yeah,
there's always white people that was was doing it, and
then I hear all of a sudden, here we go
like there was a black man scared me. And I
was like, dang, that really scared me a whole lot
more than any other. Yeah, scared me, man.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
I felt like Freddy Krueger when I was really young,
was pretty scary.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Eddiewhere you would be all that? Where you be all that? No,
scariest movie for me.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Scariest movie of all time Unfaithful Cool with Richard Gear
and Diane Lane, because it's so realistic that it makes
you never want to fall in love with anybody ever again.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
Did you see The Candy Man and then he gets
snow gloved at the end, like you never thought to
look in the mirror and like like say the like
Candy Man three times in the mirror. You don't remember
the movie? Yeah, I remember the movie. I just didn't
really buy into it really. Yeah. Oh no, man, I
remember we went downstairs at school, like when that movie
(37:56):
came out, and we were saying it. We said it
like we got to two times, and then when we
hit the third time, somebody turned the light off. I
think we got so much trouble because people was pushing him.
I think in South Beach they call it the nose
candy man. I believe. I'm gosh, he shows up. You
(38:16):
got problems, bro Lea. We got time for one more.
Sure what NFL team can come back from the dead
this season?
Speaker 5 (38:27):
The Vikings people trying to kill them off twice.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
Now between the Justin, Jefferson and Kirk.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Now, can I say Bengals, I mean the Bengals. Yeah,
the Bengals were in last They weren't dead though they
were in last
