Speaker 1 (00:00):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here. Coming
up on this Tuesday edition, we look back on Monday
Night football and man O man was at a stinkfest
for the New York Jets last night. But was it
all Zach Wilson's fault. We're also going to talk about
another AFC East team that is struggling, and that's the
New England Patriots. Could Bill Belichick be on his way out?

(00:22):
We look back at the first half of the NFL
season and look back at our picks before the season,
and some of them are a little bit suspect. We're
also going to talk about the very latest on the
Michigan scandal because apparently there were several other teams also involved.
And we're going to talk about a GM apologizing to
his team in the NFL. And we got the usual

(00:42):
fun stuff like in case you missed it and you in,
you out, it's all yours. Coming up next here, Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe on a Tuesday, Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Give this.

how the hell we feel in here on a Tuesday morning?
Huh Hi?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Probably better than New York Jets right now? Geez bikes?
I mean that was saying out the gate beating?

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Can I can I be the first to say this
though that I know it's easy to pick on Zach Wilson.
They got other problems.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
The road line was awful last night, terrible. Why would
you pick on Zach Well?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It just it feels like that's the easy go to
low hanging fruit. Well, Zach Wilson if it was Aaron
Rodgers would be I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Man, He's probably true though.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Okay, you think the old line would protect better with
Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
I think that.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
I think that Aaron Rodgers would adapt to what his
protection is.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
I mean, look, we only know if he's able to
come back this season and see it.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I mean, here's what we had.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
We had Beckton starting at left tackle, which wasn't necessarily
a plan a coming in the season. That's always tough.
The only players Lakeland Tomlinson has started at left guard.
That's the only one who's been a consistency. Tipman, who
was drafted to play at center, played center last night
but has not been in that position before. Was a
Max Mitchell played right guard. He had originally started the
previous two games of right tackles, never played guard in

(02:40):
his life until last night, and then right tackle ended
up being.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Who's off the top of my head, just make something up.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Well, I'm not going to mix something up.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
But it was also the first start for the right
tackle last night, so you literally had a guy playing
right guards never played right guard to first start ever
at right tackle, and Tipman, who's again drafted to play center,
not necessarily wanting to put them there yet, but then
at that spot, and then Beckton, who's not your option
at left tackle. I mean, it's it's not that surprising

(03:10):
that when they when the game went up fourteen to nothing,
and you knew the Jets had to do what they
The Jets can win one one way right now, running
the football, good defense, don't try to make it a shootout. Well,
you're down a couple scores early, and then as you
continue to get down a couple they're stayed down a
couple scores.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
You eventually have to start throwing the football more. That's
just not a formula for them to win right now.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Even though Garrett Wilson's a stud and even you know
he had a fumble last night, there's just too many mistakes.
I mean, they have to play a certain, specific, perfect
style of football in order to win.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Their defense is awesome.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Though their defense is good. Their defense plays well, but
you know what, the Chargers have a defense. They made
some big plays obviously showed that. The off Phill I
don't know, I couldn't think of his name. That's you
ended up playing a right tack. What was his name
Billy Turner.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
He was originally playing right guard at times, then played
right Billy t.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I just seen when you
look on the sideline. I feel like Robert Salah's look
of frustration is always based off of I don't have
Aaron Rodgers, that quarterback, and what would we be if
I did. That's what I feel like I see when
I see Robert Sila's face. It's just like it wears

(04:29):
such a level of frustration or disappointment when you see
his face, and I think there's only a few things
that it could possibly be when you see that, that
type of posture or that type of look.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Now that's just me hold on that. It could be
Zach Wilson. Damn, you're putting all on him like that.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Huh, And I don't you know it's I listen. I mean,
I understand what you guys are saying about the old line,
and it's probably one hundred percent I ain't correct, because
y'all know, I like living in my feelings, not in
like truth or information or anything like that. I just
like to go off of what my gut tails me.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
I ask this question. I lost both of you guys.
This because this is like Pete Prisco accuses me of this.
He feels like I make excuses for quarterbacks all the time.
He calls me the quarterback defender. I don't think you
make excuses for quarterbacks.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
However, I do think that deep down inside, when there's
a moment like this, you know that, regardless of anything,
it's the quarterback.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
I think like it's on him.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I think what you do is you add nuance to
conversations about quarterbacks that most people are too lazy to
add themselves or don't have enough intimate knowledge of to
where if something's falling apart for an offense, and it's
easy to blame the quarterback, you will simply bring up
other aspects of it. May he isn't being discussed or

(06:01):
people don't know about which I find it interesting.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
For what is worth, he had a better stat line
than Herbert. Yeah he protected the ball. He didn't He
did not throw in any.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Sex fumbles. It's like it's it's kind of tough.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
It was an act of throwing, Like if that happens
a half second later, the ball's probably out, you know. Yeah,
it's just funny because Prisco always like he puts on
the sirens because he's like, here comes the quarterback. Defender's
coming to the ambulance.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
It's like because like everybody wants it to be a
black and white discussion of well, if they had a
different quarterback, it'ld be a completely different football team. Well
not really, Like you remember that that whole thing years
ago where people would bury the Cleveland Browns because they
didn't have a first round grade on Carson Wentz reportedly
and it was like, well look what Carson Wentz was

(06:52):
doing in Philly, and we're making the point on the
air back then Brady like hold on, put Carson Wentz
on that no win team for Cleveland that how many.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
More wins is that?

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Like it just I just don't think people want to
take the time to have that discussion because it's a
quarterback driven league and they just assume, well, it's got
to be the quarterback. Zach Wilson. Didn't cause Wilson to
fumble the football the punt return for the touchdown, like
the offensive line melting down, like some of that was
on him, but it's not all on him. And he
does look like he's he's gotten better, Like he does

(07:22):
look like he's playing a little bit better with a
little more competency. Jo I get it, but it's not
totally on him.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
They put up six points, I know.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
But it's like I said this yesterday, like they'd have
to maybe I said in my notes, like they'd have
to play a perfect style to win.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
I just thought they were getting on a role of
doing that.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
And on the flip side, West Coast teams come to
the East Coast typically.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Don't have much success.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
That's the first team that Chargers beat, you know, that's
over five hundred. It's not like they're wins of comeing
against good football teams.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah, So, I.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
Mean, look, I just kind of thought, and maybe I
was more curious to see what would happen if the
Chargers dropped that one, because obviously it feels like, you know,
you got that like Bunsen burner on and you get
the flame blow. But if they've lost that game, like
all of a sudden, you're ripping that thing up full
speed and trying to like you watched that reaction, you know.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
I'm talking about. You want to hear Robert Sala. You
want to hear Robert Sala somewhere in the middle of this.
I don't think he meant to take a dig at
Zach Wilson. It's just the way it sounded. But this
is going to be what people run with. I want
to see if you guys can identify where it is.
This was Robert Sala, a guy who Labar Arrington waxed

(08:37):
poetically weeks ago. Yeah they did, but I mean I
remember you talking a lot about Robert Sala's skin and
just does have good skin.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
He's grown his beard out now that Yeah, it doesn't
look like Xerxes anymore.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
No, no, yeah, they're going full facial hair now.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
It was a perfect panicured beard too, though.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
I mean, you guys, tell me he doesn't look like
the guy from three hundred. I'm pretty sure, Jerseys, you're right.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
It's got to add some facial jewelry. And you get this.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
Not often that you'd have someone like Brady Quinn having
like looks envy going on, you know what I mean. Like,
I didn't say I'm envious the problems of the dudes
out here.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
I didn't say I'm envious.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
You know, let's just keep it on.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
I look at both of you guys, and I say,
f off, both of you.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Off. No, I do not up.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
I look at you, and I say, you're like, you're
like one grade ahead of me.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
You're not copying off my paper in school. Let's listen
to Robert Salah and see if you can pinpoint what
people are gonna think as a slight at Zach Wilson.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Is this a step back for Zach Roberts.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
I don't know if you could say step back. You know,
there's like I said, there's it's all encompassing.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
You know.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
Obviously he's gonna want some things that he he wishes
he could have done better. It's just a little bit
of everything. It's just one of those bizarre games. It's
just every time we had momentum, like I said, just
a self inflicted wound wound.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Was it his best game? Obviously?

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Not?

Speaker 6 (10:12):
Was his worst game? No, I'm not gonna say it
was even close to his worse game. But uh, I
think the entire offense obviously we all could have been better.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
So not even close to his worst game.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Translation, I just wish I had Aaron Rodd. He's like,
if y'all want me to tell you what I've really
do you really want to know what I'm feeling right now?
Why are you asking me about Zach when you know,
I'm concerned about Aaron.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
I mean, he's uh, he's progressing. He's throwing the ball
pretty well, taking step dropbacks. He was he didn't need
a cart apparently to get into the stadium, you know,
just kind of hanging out.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
He was throwing the ball fifty yards. Man's palming that thing.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
I I think the tough thing is they're four and four,
all right, you got nine games to play, and you know,
coming out of this game, I believe they've got to
play Las Vegas and then Buffalo back to back weeks
on the road, Like if there was ever a game
you kind of needed to sneak up and win. Even
though I think the Chargers are on paper a better team,

(11:12):
that was it. I mean, the Raiders seem like they're
plan inspired. I don't think they have any shot vers
Buffalo and Buffalo. And then they get the host Miami,
who got to be a huge game for Miami in
the context of the playoff race, Atlanta, Houston at Miami
again and then Washington Cleveland, New England.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
So the finish isn't too bad.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
And maybe that's where you look at like a soft
landing spot of Rogers could come back, but it just
it seems like it would be.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
It'd be too tough.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
And by the way, this offensive line needs to get
it self in shape, otherwise you're gonna be putting Aaron
Rodgers in grave risk by putting him back there.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
But I'll just go back to the initial point.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
I don't think throwing the football fifty times is your
game plan for success with this Jets team and only
running the ball through running backs eight times, Like, that's
just not the formula you want. And I know they
got down early, and they were down basically in the
trail almost the entire game, but I just I look
at it and I go, you know, it's just it's

(12:09):
not gonna help them ever win. If that's what they're
formulass for success.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
You can't do that. Yeah, six points, man, it's not.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
It's going to be a tough road to hoe if
you can only put up two field goals to try
to be in a game, especially being in November, where
the teams that are going to make their runs for
the Super Bowl they have to make those runs. They
have to start becoming that team right now, Like you
got to start seeing those contenders play better football more

(12:41):
consistently more inspired right now.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
I mean, in fairness, it would have been twelve points
if cja Usama would have caught that ball at the
end of the end zone hit them right in the chest.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Now would that have mattered for anty of the betters
out there?

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Jonas, I'm not quite sure. I didn't have action on
the game, you.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Know, so you didn't even look at the number and
look line and look at anything. I didn't have any actions.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
I mean, once I saw the Chargers were a three
point favorite at closing and I realized the Jets aren't
going to get within three, it just didn't matter.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
It still wouldn't matter. The over under closed at forty
one and the low was three.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
So well, I mean, listen, it's it's unfortunate what's happened
to the New York Jets in primetime last night. That's
just a sad tale.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
You know.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
The Chargers defense looked good, they feasted, Joey Bosa got
after it a little bit. What did they have was it?
Seven sacks?

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Eight?

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Eight sacks? Jesus, how's Zach Wilson feeling today and tomorrow?
Brady is a quarterback who had been sacked eight times
in a game man.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
I mean probably like he uh, I guess I'll put
it this way because the trigger treat just occurred. So
imagine walking across the street and some kid just runs
right into you with his bike, you know, or maybe
a small vehicle sorts like a golf RT or.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Something scooters these days, yes, scooters. He's coming full speed
and just blast you. By the way.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
This kid who's on the scooter, he's one of those
kids that you're like questioning if he's too big to
be on the scooter.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
You know, You're like, I don't I don't know if
he can that thing hold him? Should he be on?
Is he too big for a scooter?

Speaker 5 (14:12):
But he blasts you with this scooter and you're not looking,
and not only does he hits you, and that hurts.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
You hit the ground and it hurts. It's two hits,
him hit you, you hit the ground. Damn. That's how
you're waking up feeling the next day.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Right, keep cashing check sack, you're.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
Okay, Like like how you got that black eye? You
woke up and you didn't know you was blinds at it?
Why you right?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Right?

Speaker 4 (14:38):
Because that's what's work, right, That's how that's how it works,
and you thought it was your kidd it on the
kid funny get well, he was just doing kind of
gymnastics with his truck, Jim.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
I mean, he's not wrong. It's like that.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
You know, you never you've never been laying where your
wife hits you in your sleep and it wakes you up.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
To Yeah, it could be an accident, but it could
not have been an accident. Just snorts.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
I wish I had a better story, I really do.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
I just yeah a story you're telling in it either Yeah,
it ain't it? That ain't it? Listen?

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Doesn't it doesn't pass the detector test. You know, it
just is what it is. It's just the detector tests.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
BS.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Well, listen, I'll tell you what does pass the detector test?
What this show? Because it all the way up until
nine am Eastern time, six o'clock specific and it's going
to pass it with flying colors, with another edition of
In case you missed it, We've also got would you
rather an hour two of the program? We've got You
any you out? Also, at some point this week, can
we take a look back we're at the halfway point
of the season and just see how good or bad

(15:54):
our picks are looking halfway through the season, like as
far as just division winners, playoff teams just out of projection.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Does those things written down?

Speaker 7 (16:02):
Lee?

Speaker 1 (16:03):
We've got those summer right all right? So do we
want to do that today at some point or do we
want to do that later on in the week? Like
what are we thinking? You guys pick a card and it's.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Up to you guys. You know me, Come on, var,
I'll just be chilling. What are we talking about?

Speaker 1 (16:18):
I'm talking about like our season picks. We're halfway through,
Like if we want to take a look halfway point
of the season.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
How I know I did well last week on over unders.
That's like the only we got together. Did you do
good well?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
I mean like our season picks, like projections for the
year that we made before.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
The season to looking pretty damn good. All I know
is I put a rematch it last year. That's why
I say it in the Super Bowl? Yes I did it.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Oh nice? Okay, is looking pretty good?

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Should we do that top hour two?

Speaker 2 (16:48):
You think good?

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, we can make that pretty good right now?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Just looking pretty good?

Speaker 1 (16:55):
But coming up next though, we do have oh yeah.
The question that is being asked of one head coach
in the NFL that most people thought was never going
to happen. And we'll get into that for you incredible
right here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six a m. Eastern three am
Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
The Yeah Wow, Who is this? Sam? Oh? Sam?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Who's this? G? Eazy Ah?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Do you know who? Gay?

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Is it from the Bay Area?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Okay? He sounded like you're from the Bay.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Nice think he's from Uh yeah, I think it's Oakland?

Speaker 2 (17:52):
What does G actually mean? Greg? Gary?

Speaker 8 (17:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
I don't know. I don't know. I think Gary is it?
You think that's it? I don't know. I think Gary's man.
I like Gary. I mean, how many Garys do you
know that you don't like? You know? Not too many?
That's every time I meet something is Gary. I'm like, Gary.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Seemed like a good guy you have, But Gary feels
like a name that's not often given to kids anymore.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
No, No, yeah, that's not it's not giving out as
much like Betty anymore.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
I don't know or middle names being lou or I
mean Lee or May. You know what I mean, Stephanie May,
Susie Lee, you know Sarah Lee? Is that part of
their first name?

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Is that their middle name? It's their middle name. But
it's like, yeah, it's like a country thing? Is a
country or southern southern country's out there?

Speaker 1 (18:53):
That's what I was thinking.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Is that more of a British thing? There?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Can we get rupert food?

Speaker 2 (19:03):
What are you having for dinner tonight? I having some.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Sounds like groupers.

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Maybe that's what it is. And that's my favorite fish.
By the way, God, you know what's favorite? What's starting up?
It's already started up. But in NBA basketball, Oh man,
it's just tough. I watch rather rotch college basketball?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Is that bad?

Speaker 1 (19:25):
This this in season?

Speaker 2 (19:28):
The season tournament? Like I'm like, why would any of
the players care?

Speaker 1 (19:31):
It's the dumbest thing, Like it's a clown show, Like
like are.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
We going to look back one day?

Speaker 5 (19:37):
But can you do you guys remember when Lebron in
the end of his career, won that in season.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
I'm surprised Adam Silver isn't out on a unicycle making
balloon animals at halftime of these games. It's a clown show.
They's made a complete mockery of the league with this.
It's it's so bad and so cornball, and everybody tries
to make it. Oh my god, the first ever dunk
in the end season tournament, the first ever buzzer beater.

(20:03):
Nobody cares. You're two weeks into the season.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
It's it's it's just the regular season, right, Like, are
we in the playoffs yet? Are we actually in the
playoffs for the NBA hit?

Speaker 8 (20:12):
No?

Speaker 5 (20:13):
Okay, no, no, it is. It does feel like the
dumbest thing ever. It really does.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
It feels desperate, is what it is.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Like.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
You're two weeks into the season and you're already breaking
out all the all the whoopee cushions and blow up
dolls and like, oh, look at all the fun stuff
we got I can use for you. If you go
to a Mexican restaurant on a Wednesday and they've got
a mariachi band, chances are the food sucks. They need
everything they can to get you in the door. If
the NBA has got to do this two weeks into
their regular season, they got problems. And Adam Silver knows it.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
Jonas, what's the last time you've been to a Mexican
restaurant where they had a mariachi band in it?

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Umm, least a year.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Oh it's been that long.

Speaker 4 (20:51):
Yeah, I mean it's been like forever Jonas.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
I'm surprised Sam doesn't can't dial the mariachi band.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
I went to a Yeah, check your text, I would.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
Say in Mexico, please instead of whatever the hell you're
looking at?

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Where was it on Friday?

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Bar I got I don't remember the name of it,
but it was in I want to say Rancho, but
there's one in La as well. And the food was
a banger, I mean it was so good and the
vibe was off the hook, like they were like they
had a DJ and every time somebody like a table
would order shots, like if it was like six or more,

(21:35):
they literally would start like DJ and the music.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
No like that. It wasn't like that.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
It was you asked for mariachi music, that's all our
system had to offer you. Any you have any weddings
and Cantonnis I've heard play this music. Yeah, that ain't
at at a DJ.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
It almost felt like it was like a nightclub, but
it was definitely not a nightclub. It was a restaurant.
And they had a guy that was, you know, pushing,
pushing around and making drinks at your table, and some
people had their food made at their tables.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
It was a really cool joint, man. It was a
super cool joint. Man.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
That's hot.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
That was just on Friday too, right before I went
to go see my baby competing the you know, Elite
All Star cheer competition.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, it's good. Damn sounds hot. By the way.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
As a father, my mind really just like wandered, because
I got three daughters. I'm sure at some point one
of them might want to cheer, and I'm just trying
to picture LaVar giving his daughter advice, like, no, baby,
you gotta do it like this.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
You know you got you gotta gettle. We're into it,
you know. You know what's funny.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
I definitely gave her a pregame speech and I give
her I give her high fives, like I give her
double high fives, and I just tell her how proud
of her I am, and and just go out there
and have fun like you you do your thing. Like
she'd be tumbling all over the place. And she's like
six foot so she's like a base she's not a flyer.
She would be too big to be a flyer. But

(23:03):
like she really, she's really good man. She's our only
national champion. Said, wow, my wife played D one, not
a national champ. I played D one, not a national champ.
Play pro, not a not a champ. Like she's our
only national champ. So there you go, she's pretty dope.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
I still just pictured you going through be like, no, babe,
it's like this one, two, three, four five.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
I'm not above that. Like you snapped hair when you
should have been popping, like you gotta right there.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Not not a snap, you know, be here. Look, Jonas
is going to show you all right, be in the corner.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Have to wear the skirt again.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Now peril, now slide Jonas.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
I didn't know you had all that energy.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Jonahs next to the lawnmower in the truck.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Were sitting back back. Damn.

Speaker 9 (24:00):
Jan's like that's where that come from.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
You're remain.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Man, well listen, like what the.

Speaker 10 (24:14):
Hell is going on this man? I was looking at
us like what is going on? Jana is taking by
spot in the base like Jonas doing one hand holding
up the cheerleader with one hand, like this is how
you do it. Lvar's pushed out the coach.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
I got this all right, here's what I got, like
just jan has showing how to do it.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Oh man, I want to win nationals. It sounds like
a possibility. I mean, who knows if you want to
be a national champion. With your hotel selections, we recommend

(25:06):
in about fifteen minutes from now, we had a dirty,
dirty move in the world of sports that took place yesterday.
We'll get into the details of that for you here.
Bill Belichick, though he finds himself coaching the worst team
he's ever coached in his time with the New England Patriots.
They are bad. They lost again on Sunday. So now,

(25:26):
after seeing video of Robert Kraft and his son in
the press box watching the game on Sunday and some
lip readers kind of doing a little bit of research
and saying, what looks like Jonathan Kraft said, we're just
not very good, which is the most obvious statement in
the NFL this season. Bill Belichick is now hearing about

(25:48):
his job security. Was his This was his conversation with
the media yesterday.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Have you been given.

Speaker 11 (25:54):
Penny assurances from ownership about your job status for the
rest of the season.

Speaker 8 (25:58):
Yeah, my folks, get right for the Colts.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
You personally believe that you could be touching for your
job to the sweep against the Bulls.

Speaker 8 (26:07):
I'm gonna control it.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
I can control.

Speaker 8 (26:08):
Let me get ready for Fick Coles.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Yeah, there's no shot he gets fired mid season.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Not happening. No, that's not going to happen.

Speaker 5 (26:16):
I don't think he is fired in general. I mean,
if they want to let him go. I said this
from the gate, they're gonna say, like they agreed to go.
It's not they you can't fire the guy. There's no
way they could say, like unless there was some sort
of like misconduct.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
They'll say, like they both agreed to go. They're separate ways,
that sort of thing.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
You know, if he don't want to go, they might
have to tell him he got to go.

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Do you think he's gonna be like standing on the ship,
like holding onto the mast.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
And being like I'm not going I'm going down with
the ship. It's my ship, it's my zip Bob.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
He doesn't. He doesn't strike me as somebody who I
don't think that's self awareness to where he'd be like, no, no, no, no,
no no, I'm gonna continue on and we're gonna I
think he would know it's over.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
Hey, you know to what if you listen. We've listened
to the way Bill Belichick has handled the media through
the years. I just don't think that Bill Belichick would
have answered the way that he did if he felt
secure about his job. I think he really kind of
throws something out there that's very sarcastic or very condescending

(27:28):
or whatever it may have been. But it wouldn't have
been like I'm focused in on the Colts, like he
would have gave him something like the nerve of you
to ask me if my job is at my job security?
Like I have more job security, much more than you
would ever have in two lifetimes. My guy like Bill

(27:50):
Belichick would hit you with something that would make you
feel uncomfortable about following up on a question such as that.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
See, here's where I differ in that I actually am
happy to hear like he's basically addressing this no different
than when where they are they're on the Cincinnati You
remember that quote, Yeah, of course, like that was though
in times where they always were playing in beautiful, meaningful games,
like they were always technically in the playoff fund.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
I think, at least at this point.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
This season, and you know, he's kind of treated the
media the exact same, whether good or bad. And maybe
that in part becomes from the success he's had, but
I think he's always kind of been this way.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
So I kind of law it into somebody not too
long ago or that season ago or something like that,
like I was winning games before you were even you know, walking,
or something to that effect.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Like it was like a Dabo Spartanburg he hit somebody.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Belichick hit somebody up with and it was a reporter
that asked him a question, and he was kind of like,
you know, he was taken back by it and and
kind of responded to it.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
But if you know the history of the Patriots and
the Colts, Robert Craft's not gonna fire him if they
lose to the Colt. But that was that was the question, though,
Like do you think your jobs in jeopardy if you
lose to the Colts this week. Robert Craft's not gonna
let him go out with a loss to the Colts.
It's not It's not gonna go down that way with
all you that.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
It's like partially the media like getting able to ask
these questions now because they've never had before.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
That's that's after and you should feel like very uncomfortable
asking somebody like Robbert Kraft asking Bill Belichick if that's
what's going on. Like, man, that just doesn't seem correct
at all, you know, like you're asking Bill Belichick, do
you know how you feel about your job security?

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Dang war on a Cincinnati thank you coach?

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Yeah, well, you know, I think it's interesting. I can't
of remember what was that coming off.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Of, so they I know exactly where it was. They
got blown out by Kansas City on Monday night. Football's
Tom Brady was taken out of the game late. They
brought in Jimmy Garoppolo, and the conversation was is the
Brady era over? And now do we move forward with
Jimmy Garoppolo? And the Patriots went on and won a
Super Bowl that year and they beat Seattle. Yeah, how

(30:16):
about that?

Speaker 5 (30:16):
For recall, By the way, do you remember some of
the people who like would speculate, maybe even at times
like wanted them to move on from Tom Brady?

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:25):
How dumb was that? I don't know, it's over now.
How dump was that?

Speaker 4 (30:31):
You really think the question was based off of asking
him if he thought his job security was on the
line to lose his job if he didn't coach.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Well they played well in this game. That was the question.
It was more like period.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
No, they said, do you think your job is in
jeopardy if you lose to the Colts this weekend?

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Yeah, but that's still an interpretation. When'd you say, like
job like, I mean you could lose it in the
off season it's the Black Friday or I mean Black Monday.
I don't know that necessarily felt like he meant after
this game.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
I mean that that's what the question was. So I'm just.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Gonna so he said, do you feel like after this
game you your job security on this team? If you
lose like you're going to, you could be fired after
this game?

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Sam, can we hear it real quick? Did just the
Belichick sound again, just real quick? On what the question
was Because it was asked about this game coming up
this week.

Speaker 11 (31:26):
Have you been given any assurances from ownership about your
job status for the rest of the season.

Speaker 8 (31:32):
My focus on get ready for the Colts.

Speaker 10 (31:35):
Do you personally believe that you could be touching for
your jobs for this week against the Colts.

Speaker 8 (31:41):
I'm gonna control it. I can control on me get
ready for Colts.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yeah, no, you're right, he said, for the rest of
the season.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
I don't think Robert Craft's going to send him over
to Germany to play the Colds.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
But don't you think that's pretty damning to begin with? Guys?

Speaker 4 (31:52):
I mean honestly, like if the media is starting to
ask are you do you feel a sense of you know,
like urgent see here on the rest of the season.
You're asking that at Bill Belichick. Yeah, I don't know,
Man's That's what's something to that.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
What bothers me about it is in no other industry
is job security that fragile than the NFL. And for
players and coaches, it's just like like when you ask
the question, yet it's not really relatable to you. Like
no one in the media is going to get canned
if they write a bad column.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Now if they do something that's like you.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
Know, egregious in nature or the way they conduct themselves
or something else maybe, But in most places now, especially
in corporate workplaces, there's like a chain of things that
need to happen in order.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
For them to get canned.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
In the NFL, you can just not be having your
best year and you get canned, or your best week
and get canned. I just I always find like those
questions about job security sometimes like incredibly disrespectful because most
people who are asking it have no idea outside of
just being on the outside and witnessing it. They don't
know what it feels like to constantly be feeling like, yeah,

(33:08):
I might be coaching for my job, I might be
playing for my job. Like I'm like, I could lose
my job in my livelihood with how I perform week
in and week out in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
And I'm sure there's people out there who boo hoo,
you get paid for that.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
Well, you can feel that way, but you've never lived it,
And so I'm not going to come to your house
and question you about your job security right because you
had a bad week. It's just that's what I don't
I don't appreciate about it.

Speaker 1 (33:33):

keep pain.

Speaker 5 (35:44):
I just love how some days there's a sense of urgency,
other days there's not.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
It just depends on the day. Like it's almost like
the night.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Before plays a place a factor.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
Sam is pretty consistent. Though Sam's consistent. I'm not talking
about Sam.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
You're talking about who.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
You talking about the big Lee ball? Well, you know
that's just like, uh, your opinion, man, such good time, man,
so well done. Well you don't hear a lot of lead.

Speaker 4 (36:16):
That means Lee had got a little banged up man
night last night.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Lee, I don't think you did. Did you have a
cocktail last night?

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (36:23):
Yeah, we've been quiet because when Lee's had a cocktail
two night before, he usually hits like he's panic.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
It's like panic the way he communicates. Then the other
days he's relaxed. He's like, hey, man, we need to
get the trending.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
I was relaxed, but I didn't think anybody heard me.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
So, yeah, we heard you, pal, we got you. There's
some urgency in your voice.
