How the hell day before the day? Is it the
day before the day? See? I think tomorrow is the
day before the day. Black Friday.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Oh there you go, great point.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, it's a great mean.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
I feel I feel like Thanksgiving is the day that
they get everybody fat and fed so that the ones
that only the strong will survive to go into Black Friday,
and the lazy husbands or lazy wives or whoever it
may be, they stay behind and food comas while you're
able to spend as much as you like on Black Friday.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah, didn't Amazon. The Amazon kind of ruined, that, didn't.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
They the ruined? They kind of like a whole week.

Speaker 6 (02:43):
Now, it's not even like it's just the one day
of savings you like, you can go on shop like
the whole entire week.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
That's true. And they call it Black Friday, but you
can start earlier. Such hustlers.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Isn't that every day for Lee? Though?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yes, gets there.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
You get a Black Friday, you get a Black Friday.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Everyone gets a Black Friday.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Well, we transitioned smoothly from that over to the black
and gold of the Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Oh how about that?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
And it was as we were going off the area yesterday,
which it feels like there's just a habit of that
happening in the AFC North. Last week it was Deshaun
Watson's being out for the year. That popped up late,
and then next thing you know, we've got Mike Tomlin
deciding he needs to move on from Matt Canada, the
offensive coordinator. So yeah, here was Mike Tomlin speaking about

(03:41):
the decision yesterday after the news was announced that Matt
Canada is gone.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Let's listen to the Steelers head coach.

Speaker 7 (03:48):
Did not come to this decision lightly. To be really
transparent with you, it's just a personal belief of mine.
From a leadership perspective, it is my role to absorb
and protect those that I work with, and this doesn't
feel like that. Obviously. I'm not interested in in assigning
blame or deflecting in any ways. More of my natural

(04:11):
nature to absorb. To be quite honest with you, I've
been in this role so long, I'm quite comfortable absorbing.
So just rest assured that this decision was not taken lightly.
I got a lot of respect for Matt personally and professionally.
It was not easy, but I thought it was necessary.
This is a result oriented business, and to be short,

(04:35):
the improvements were not rapid enough or consistent enough for
us to proceed. You got to score touchdowns in this business.
You gotta win games in this business, and just the
totality of it has us where we are today.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
So that was Mike Tomlan talking about the decision to
move on for Matt Canada. This is the I guess
this is the first time since nineteen forty one the
Steelers have made a cord head coaching change mid season,
which is crazy to think about the stability of the organization.
Nineteen forty one the last time this happened, and Tom
that didn't seem like he was thrilled about it.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
It's crazy to think out it from that perspective as
just like this stability, if you're a coach there, you've
got to feel comfortable and confident and being able to
do your job and fight through adversity. And it's also
interesting to think about how their offense has been that
bad since Mat Canada has.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Been the play caller.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
They they go fire someone for the first time in
eighty some years, like crazy.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Good for you, Mac Canada, Good for you. I mean
he was good at something, you know, he was good
enough to be the first one fire during the season.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Since nineteen forty one, you have a year from Pittsburgh LeVar.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
I can imagine you've got some folks that have not
had good things to say about the offense for the
past three years.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
Well, the thing about it is when you're like I said,
when we were talking about Franklin him losing to Michigan
and Ohio State. They a lot of people and we
even talked about it on this show. We talk we
cited the offense and the inability to move the ball
to go after big plays make things happen. But Pennsylvanians

(06:19):
we love to be the winners. That's our thing. Like,
we work hard. We're blue collar workers, we're hard hat workers,
we're lunch pail workers. A lot of us do very
very minimum wage type jobs. And the one thing that
we went at and the one thing that we're proud

(06:41):
of is our football, our brand of football. So when
something doesn't go right, they call for the head coach.
They don't just go after the offensive coordinator. They want
the head coach. So every time something doesn't go right
with the Steelers, they're always calling for the coach's job.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Always.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Now I'll speak lightly for Philly because I represented Philadelphia
and I know the fan base very well. Both as
someone who represented it as a player, but also someone
who played in the NFC East my entire career.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
They're the same way.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
In fact, they're probably even a tad bit more aggressive
and wanting, wanting change when something isn't the way that
they want it.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
So Doug Sarson won him a Super Bowl and they
were booing him at the end.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
So there you go. So it's it's kind of a
cultural thing. We just want to win. Like Pittsburgh's they
this is my day off. I want to watch my
football on Fridays. I love Friday night lights. I want
to watch my football on Saturday. I love Saturday football,
and I love my team on Sunday. And that's it.

(07:58):
Like Friday, I get off work. I want to see
my team win. They'll they'll call for a coach's head,
and they'll get a coach out of there in high school,
the same exact way they go after every other level,
from college to pro. So Mike Tomlin, I'm certain, even
though he says he has learned to absorb it, I'm

(08:19):
certain you never get used to the ferocity and the
passion behind wanting you to be removed and lose your
job when something doesn't go the way that you would
like for it to go.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
And that's just the way it is.

Speaker 5 (08:34):
I mean, when you accept that job, there's a lot
that comes with the glory of it and the greatness
of it and the resources that go into it. But
there's a lot that comes out of it that that
isn't always the most you know, the easiest, the easiest
way to handle or the easiest way to have to
deal with with being successful.

Speaker 6 (08:56):
So I thought he had his statements well though this
had to have been a long time coming. Though it
had to have been to make the decision he made.
It had to have been a long time coming, and
it had to have been one where he's probably looking
at across the field saying, dude, they've got a it's
not even their second stringer, it's a third string quarterback.
And we feel like we did enough. I mean, we

(09:18):
feel like we held them to thirteen points. We should
be able to win that game. Yeah, I mean, bottom line,
like like that's that was probably the most damning thing.
Where he's looking at us saying like, I've dealt with
this too much. We need to be able to win
games and score more than thirteen points.

Speaker 8 (09:36):
Isn't an unreasonable request?

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Like it's not.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
And think about the amount of draft picks they've now
invested into this team. Najee Harris is a first round pick,
if I'm not mistaken. Can he Pickett a first round pick?
I'm not mistaken. You look at Friar Youth, look at
George Pickens's like the way they've built this roster through
recent drafts, and even Dantae Johnson, even though he's been
around a little older. They've spent a lot of draft

(10:02):
capital on the offensive side of the ball and they're
just not getting any results whatsoever from it. And that defense,
as good as it is, can only hold up for
so long. Like people talking about when to play complimentary football,
I mean, you can't compliment anything if it's all one sided.

(10:24):
That just gets frustrating, right, I Mean it's not that
I think about Like we talked about football, and the
football is always in a great metaphor for like life
like relationships. If one person a relationship feels like they're
doing all the work, they're doing all the little things
around the house, they're doing all the things to whatever
it is, you know, help with the kids, everything like
that gets wearing, Like eventually that wears out and that

(10:47):
doesn't work anymore. And that's how this is man like
that this is a defense that literally has been kind
of pushed to the edge of saying, yeah, this is
gonna be hard to sustain. If we want to be
a playoff team, if we would have any success, we've
got to be able to score more points. And the
guy who's kind of leading us direct this in that
way is not the right guy for it. I detailed,

(11:08):
you know, I've detailed his history, like he really had
a couple of standout years as a play caller Pittsburgh
twenty sixteen and then going back to his time at
NC stayed his final year there and that was it,
and he really, you know, kind of looked for the
next opportunity, the next opportunity, the next opportunity with every

(11:29):
stop he made after that, and there was never really
any results. So the hiring in the first place back
in twenty twenty one made no sense to me. So
this has kind of been a long time coming. And
I'm sure there's a lot of Steelers fans who are
happy about if the problem is you have no idea
what this offense is.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Going to look like.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
With Mike Solivan and Eddie Faulkner now calling plays, and
Solvent's had a ton of experience. He should be able
to take this thing over, open some things up, see
what they have and Kenny Pickett and maybe they get
a ounce back like we saw from Buffalo versus the
Jets where Joe Brady took over the play calling there.
But you're kind of, you know, across your fingers hoping
that this happens.

Speaker 8 (12:10):
We have no clue how the rest of the season
is gonna go offensively.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Right, So first offensive play against in Cincinnati this weekend,
what are you thinking? Flea flicker bomb? No, they just
break out all just take a shot? Yeah, why fumble Ruski?
I mean, whatever you got in your bag, just bring
it out just to make everybody happy for one week
and then just go back to score eleven points a
game after that.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Why not? This is your chance, you know, like, let
him fly a little bit here.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:39):
Can I ask you guys a question that this is
more in the lines of Lee this morning, because he's
texting me.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
We're having a side conversation. How's he doing? How's he
doing this morning? Good?

Speaker 2 (12:48):
That's great?

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Is he good?

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (12:51):
I got I got receipts to send your ways, Brady,
you need.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
Okay, I'm just saying, man like, I'm looking through some
stuff not seeing anything.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
What happened here? What we what are we talking?

Speaker 4 (13:01):
I asked?

Speaker 6 (13:02):
If he said the rundowns, it's I hadn't received it yet,
and it's not that uncharacteristic. Given Lee's weekend slash, given
a holiday coming up, that Lee might be a little
behind on some things.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Do you have a couple of throat burners off snightly?

Speaker 9 (13:16):
Nope? Negative? I mean anything that is correct?

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Wow, he took it completely day off.

Speaker 9 (13:26):
Yeah, sure happen.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Do you want to know why?

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Really?

Speaker 6 (13:29):
That's that's abnormal, to be honest, that's that's abnormal.

Speaker 9 (13:34):
And I mean it happens a few days a week.
I don't drink for sure, It's okay.

Speaker 6 (13:39):
What's what's more typical? You're not having a drink or
you having a drink?

Speaker 9 (13:42):
More typical for me to have a drink.

Speaker 10 (13:44):
Sure, more days than that I will have had a beverage.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
You have a cocktails?

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Yeah, but it's a big night though, it's high school
reunion night.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
After all that, He's going to get after it.

Speaker 9 (13:58):
Yeah, we're doing a little yeah, Yeah, that's gonna happen.
We're gonna yeah, that's gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
My god, little.

Speaker 9 (14:05):
Go into a movie.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Little little cocktail before, a little cocktail after cocktail during.

Speaker 10 (14:10):
Oh yeah, almost forgot about that.

Speaker 9 (14:14):
I forgot about the hip flask.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Yeah that is, by the way, is it the tealing
whiskey hip flask?

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Or did we give that to Sam?

Speaker 11 (14:25):
No?

Speaker 9 (14:25):
I kept the teeling.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
You put on your belt. How do you wear the
hip flask?

Speaker 9 (14:31):
No, it goes in the pocket. I'm a cargo shorts.

Speaker 8 (14:34):
Guys still rocking the cargo shorts all right, yep.

Speaker 9 (14:38):
I'm one of those.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
I mean where you I mean, listen, you gotta put
your bottles something, you know, at least I use at
least I use the pockets.

Speaker 10 (14:45):
Most guys big, Most people who have cargo shirts don't
utilize the extra space.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Oh man, well, it is the record.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I'm pretty sure you left me off the email. I'm
just I'm pretty.

Speaker 10 (14:56):
Sure I just sent you the receipt. It's got your
name next to the timestamp.

Speaker 8 (15:00):
Interesting, Okay, this was say six oh two.

Speaker 9 (15:03):
No, it says it says fifty five.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Okay, Hey, I think everything is work out just fine.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
I think it's all going to work out just just fine.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
You know there it is, you know, I mean, why
why you sweat me?

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Var who's sweating you?

Speaker 2 (15:19):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Calling for our offensive coordinators head on the show. You
know what I mean? Kid?

Speaker 11 (15:27):
All right?

Speaker 10 (15:28):
By the way, I think I would be fired right yeah, okay.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Technically I feel like Jonas is the quarterback and the
o C.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
He's like old school.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Oh no, yeah, I've each dropped jobs home conversations before
the shows. You're definitely the play caller as well as
the quarterback.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
So kind of be we came to be. Jonas would
have to go.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
It's it's collaborative.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
Did you see the sinister voice to year sinister voice?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Yeah, I heard it.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
It would mean that, you know, Jonas has to go.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Messed up, man, tell you what's not messed up? Though
we got a jammed fact show, we've got a stop
him by. Early on we get another edition of In
case you missed it, We've got some Quinns wins our
picks against the spread to get you set for the
busy weekend in the world of football. Wins, I mean,

or Twitter, Albert, what's happening? Good morning to you.

Speaker 11 (18:19):
There you go, Jonas, you are right this time. I

Speaker 2 (18:22):
He at least I can do. At least I can
do for the big Time.

Speaker 8 (18:25):
About time?

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Now, how are we feeling about the game coming up
this weekend?

Speaker 2 (18:30):
What are we what are we thinking here?

Speaker 11 (18:32):
Well, you know, I wouldn't want to predetermine any outcomes,
but I I.

Speaker 13 (18:38):
Feel pretty good.

Speaker 11 (18:39):
I feel better than I felt a month ago.

Speaker 13 (18:40):
I would say I I think I think the Ohio
State running games come along.

Speaker 11 (18:45):
I think the defense is playing really well. I think
a lot of us here coming down to how the
quarterback plays. But yeah, I think.

Speaker 13 (18:52):
I think Ohio State has steadily gotten a little better
over the course of the last four to six weeks
since they play TENN State, And I don't I don't
know if I see the St.

Speaker 11 (19:04):
Michigan team I saw a month ago. Now, maybe that's
just a level.

Speaker 14 (19:07):
Of competition they're playing.

Speaker 13 (19:08):
But uh, I think we're in a decent spots.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Albert.

Speaker 8 (19:13):
Are you walking your dog or what would you say
you're doing right now?

Speaker 11 (19:17):
I would say I'm getting into my car right now.
I just checked out of a hotel.

Speaker 14 (19:21):
So that's what's going on.

Speaker 6 (19:22):
Okay, where are you at right now in Boston?

Speaker 11 (19:26):
In Boston?

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Okay? Gotcha?

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Gotcha.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
We were just talking about how this is the first
time that Pittsburgh Stealers organization has fired an assistant coach
in like eighty years. Uh, talk to you what you
heard went into it?

Speaker 14 (19:42):
Did you guys see who the last one was?

Speaker 11 (19:44):
By the way, who was it?

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Oh? Was the owner?

Speaker 8 (19:46):
He fired himself?

Speaker 4 (19:47):
Right?

Speaker 11 (19:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (19:49):
It was Burt Bell who became the commissioner of the NFL,
And yeah, he was the owner of slash like offensive
coordinator and fired himself.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
That's right.

Speaker 8 (19:58):
So it's a smart move. It's been a long Albert.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Hey, Albert.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
Yeah, if if the content doesn't ever work out for you,
just fire yourself as the lead content strategist and then
you just you still maintain the other title.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Oh yeah, that's right.

Speaker 14 (20:13):
That's it's one way. It's one way to give up
play calling, that's for sure. Yeah. You know, I think
that this is sort of a frustration with the development
of the young quarterback and you know, this is sort
of something they've been chasing for a while, Brady, Like,
they had I would say, two pretty good offensive coordinators
over the course of Mike tomlins first decade there and
and Bruce arians and Todd Haley, and they got a

(20:36):
high level consistently on that side of the ball. Now,
you could argue they also had the advantage of having
a franchise quarterback and Ben Roethlisberg, and obviously that makes
just as big a difference as any as anything. But
you know, like going through two different coordinators Ranny Sickner
now and Matt Canada, they just they haven't gotten the
level of play out of the quarterback position since then retired,

(20:58):
and they haven't gotten the same level development from guys
in that side of the ball, Like can you say
the game of the most out Deontay Johnson and George Chickends.
And so I think he sort of came to a
point where can we do something to give ourselves the
spark We're gonna make this move at the end of
the season. Anyway, let's just do it now and see

(21:19):
where it takes us. In a Division two that looks
a little I'd say a little easier to navigate than
maybe it did a few weeks ago with with both
Joe Burrow and Deshaun Watson out for the year.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
We had a big game that just took place ab
with with the Philly and case what what were your takeaways.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
From from that game?

Speaker 5 (21:43):
And we had the question did that determine the best
team in the National Football League right now?

Speaker 4 (21:50):
What would your take be?

Speaker 14 (21:53):
I would say I would say San Francisco and Detroit.
I mean, interestingly enough, we've talked about how strong the
AFC is. I think three of the four best teams
in the league right now might be in the NFC,
and so I think San Francisco and Detroit would both
have an argument for being up there with those two.
But I mean, yeah, i'd say, you know, like Philly
is to this point at least in the most consistent team,

(22:16):
no question. And you know, I think it's a great example, again, LeVar,
how important it is to be strong at glens of scrimmage,
and the way they were able to just dominate upfront,
especially with their defensive front, and what it did to
Mahomes and that offense at the end of the game.
And I know you mix the drops in and everything else,
and that's a factor, but to be able to come

(22:38):
at Mahomes and Waves and attack on defense the way
they were, and the way we were able to ride
some of the issues out on offense, I think it's
just a tribute to how the team is built. And
I think that that's why, I mean, the egos certainly
aren't going away for a long time, you know, past
this year. You can look at the construction of that
team and they're just thirty. They're deep on the lines

(23:01):
of scrimmage. They're able to control the pace of games
through their lines, and you know, Monday was a great
example of this the Chiefs team. Of course, that's not
bad in those areas either.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Albert Brier joining us here on Fox Sports Radio, senior
NFL reporter and most notably lead content strategist at the
MMQB here from the ti raq dot com studios, Albert,
the hell's going on with the Patriots? What's happening at quarterback?
I mean, what is the feel there? You're in Boston, Like,
what are we talking about here with the QB spot
for this upcoming weekend?

Speaker 14 (23:34):
All right, So it's gonna sound kind of crazy, but
I think built handling of the quarterback positions it's because
he genuinely doesn't know right now who's going to start
on Sunday. I know that sounds crazy, but I'm just
talking to people there. You know what happened was they
come out of that game. It looks to people on
the staff like Max Jones does the hips now and

(23:57):
you know, the first and last throw is the first
half the inn at the end of the game. His
feeder is disaster right now, and it just it looks
like he's in his own head and he's playing with
no confidence, and so the logical thing would be to
sit him down right, and then they get out to
practice and they go through the tape and they it's
sort of I think Don's on some people in that organization,

(24:19):
holy crappy might still be our best option because all
they have on the roster pass Mac Jones, is Daily's
appy and little career, and so I think that's sort
of where they are is, you know, do we want
to put mac Jones out there based on all the
things that have happened, based on his own loss confidence,
based on the team and the players lost confidence in him,

(24:40):
or do we want to put somebody out there who's
a lesser option. And that's why I think Bill has
like chose to let this play out over the course
of this week.

Speaker 11 (24:48):
It's goofy.

Speaker 14 (24:49):
It's weird, but it's been a very, very weird year
for that team.

Speaker 8 (24:54):
I mean, at this point, how do you move forward?

Speaker 6 (25:01):
The New England Patriots looking at the head coaching position,
like is he still being evaluated? Do you think, like
what what Robert Kraft wants to do, what it's all
said and done, is already kind of made up in
his mind. He's already got his successor. And Belichick maybe
even knows the spot he wants to go to. We've
we've heard some reports and people say that they've already
heard where he's going.

Speaker 14 (25:21):
Yeah, I don't. I don't know that Bill. I don't
know if Bill knows where he's going. I would say
at this point, Robert Craft probably has an idea and
not only the only people that know that are probably
Robert and Jonathan Crafts who know what Robert is planning
on doing. But my guests would be, you know, they
haven't been around him and that family for as long

(25:41):
as I have, that he probably has an idea of
what he wants to do. And now it's kind of
like letting the season play out and see if anything
changes anything and then executing what his plan is. And
you know, I I Bradie, I really don't think he
wants to fire him. Like I think he would like
to make this look a certain way where it's more

(26:03):
amicable than the Brady divorce was three years ago. The
problem is, we'll Bill go along with that, and like
I think, one thing is where the where the rubber
could meet the road here is if he's insisted on
getting compensation, because remember he got no compensation for Tom
Brady in twenty twenty.

Speaker 11 (26:22):
So if he's.

Speaker 14 (26:23):
Worried that he's gonna have more egg on his face
if he doesn't get compensation, and then Bill goes and
wins somewhere else the way Brady did. Bill could just
say no, like I don't want whatever team I'm going
to giving up picks to get me, you can just
fire me. So that to me is kind of the
like real variable here is like it Bill's gone, and

(26:46):
I think most people think that there is going to
be change after this year. What does that look like?
And can Robert Kraft make it look the way that
he wants it to look or would there be a
situation where Bill would try to get himself fired, you know,
just so he would be able to go somewhere else,
take his money and not have whatever team it is
giving up traffics to get him.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
Abe Mike Mike Vrabel is a name that that popped
up in our conversation, and it seems as though he's
having to answer questions in Tennessee now specific to his
job security. Does this does this turn into a thing
where maybe Mike Vrabel ends up being the next head
coach of New England.

Speaker 14 (27:29):
I certainly don't think LeVar that Mike Brable's getting fired.
The owner thinks a lot of him. Amy Adams Trunk
was very very clear with people in that building that
they wanted to continue to build with Mike Frabel when
they were going through their general manager search last year.
But you know, the general manager changed, I think does

(27:49):
open the door for Mike Frable to reevaluate his own situation.
So I think if Brabel was gone, I think it
would be on his own volition and because he sees
this as the time to move on. I also believe that,
like if the Patriots were to run a full on search,
that Mike Brable would be at the top of the list. Now,

(28:10):
most people you've been around the Patriots who've worked there,
who work there now, do believe that Rod Mayo is
going to be the next coach in New England. And
do believe that Drod Mayo did get some assurances of
what this could look like after Bill is gone, But
after this year. I mean you could look at it
and say it looks so bad this year that maybe

(28:31):
you know, Robert Kraft wants to turn the page all together.
And if he does want to turn the page and
go outside the organization to find somebody new, to replace
Bill Belichick. You know, my feeling and my strong, strong
feeling would be that Mike Rable would be at or
near the top of the list.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
All right, Albert, before we let you go, we got
about a minute and listen. You know, on this show,
we're all about being fair and balanced. I mean, that
is that is our priority here on this show as
we go into each and every show, each and every day.
So I got to ask you, I mean total made
up number here. I don't know where I'm even pulling
this from, but just top of mind, do you believe
that at the end of the Michigan Ohio State game

(29:06):
this Saturday, that Ohio State will have not lost by
any more than three and a half.

Speaker 14 (29:14):
Well, you know, I'm all about being fair and following
the rules. I think all of us, all of us,
what's school there are about that stuff? I do think
I think this could be a three point game one
way or the other. Guys, that's just my feeling on it.
I think two really good defenses. I'm Michigan's defense is outstanding, obviously,
I think Ohio States has gone a lot better. So yeah,

(29:37):
I mean I think it is a low scoring game,
and I think it's three points one way or the other.
Where are you, guys? I know, Brandon, you can't give
up your pickups. You're right like by rule.

Speaker 6 (29:48):
I technically am going to because we're not actually on
air the next two days, so for our listeners, I'm
gonna have to because I do a segment where I
give out some ranked matchups and I get out some picks,
so I we'll be giving out a pick on this
game later on to that.

Speaker 14 (30:02):
Yeah, yeah, okay, Well, do you guys have a thought
for me on the game, man, because I'd like to hear.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
What I think Marvin Harrison Junior is the difference maker
for Ohio State and.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
What's that? What's that? I think?

Speaker 5 (30:20):
Yeah, I think Marvin Harrison Jr. Is the difference maker
for Ohio State. But I think JJ McCarthy's ability to
be able to run and throw is the difference maker
for Michigan. So I think Brian's bagged up.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
What's that?

Speaker 6 (30:35):
He's got a bad ankle, So he really hasn't run
the past two weeks because he's got a bad ankle.
He got hurt on a second down running that Penn
State game. So you got through now the second half
of that game and then Maryland he really hasn't been
able to move much.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
Well, if that's the case, then I give the firm
advantage to Ohio State because JJ McCarthy has been the
difference maker because of his dual threat ability.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
So I got I go with I go with.

Speaker 5 (31:00):
Marvin Harrison Junior being the difference maker, even if it's
not in the stat line, he'll be the reason why
somebody else is able to get get free, get opportunities.
So i'm i'm I'm looking at Ohio State as probably
the favorite.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
In this So there is the great We just looked there.

Speaker 14 (31:19):
We just looked you there in like ninety seconds before.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
Yeah, I hate y'all, but I hate Michigan almost just
as much more so, I don't know, like Ohio is
my neighbor, So I'm okay with Ohio. I actually, growing
up hated Philly more than anywhere else because I was
the other side of the state.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
But I don't know, I'm conflicted.

Speaker 5 (31:41):
You know, Well, I really don't like Ohio State though,
like with a passion, I don't like y'all, you know,
but well.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
I like you a b Yeah, we like you, Albert,
and we hope you and yours. Have a happy Thanksgiving
and it's going to be a fun one this weekend.
And by the way, if you have any thoughts on
Albert's prediction on Ohio State Michigan again fair and balance,
that's the hashtag you can use.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
At Albury Fire.

More than everybody Morning Jonas, Morning, Brady Morren' the bar.
In case you missed this, I got some brew news
for you. Saucy brew Works at Cleveland based brewery will
launch a Michigan themed version of their stealing signs Double Dry, Hot,
Hazy Pale Ale. The brewery will release this beverage on Friday,
Hey Brady.

Speaker 9 (34:23):
Day before the Ohio State Michigan clash.

Speaker 10 (34:25):
And the can, of course features Harbor on the front
and designed with Michigan school colors.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
So I'm talking about all right this, say you get
people lathered up for the game coming up, you know
they got it. They should get this on draft or
sell this at Homage Bar in Columbus there to get
everybody fired up for this game.

Speaker 8 (34:46):
Have grad Why don't have Connor Stallion's face on it?

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Oh yeah, Well do you think if.

Speaker 5 (34:54):
They may get a cartoon, they don't get in trouble?
But if they use his actual face. That's that's the
name image like and it's valilation.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Is it really so?

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Well, yeah, Connor's could sue for compensation.

Speaker 8 (35:06):
So you could do anything with the cartoon, is what you're.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Saying you as long as you make it in a
cartoon like form. I'm pretty certain there's something to it.
I don't know the exact details of it, but it's
something like that.

Speaker 9 (35:19):
It is a cartoon version of Harbo.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
Yeah, well, there you go.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
And by the way, I find it interesting points. I
find it hard to believe that they just had they
were able to just put together this IPA this quick
when all this stuff came out. Like, I'm gonna call
bs on the IPA industry. It feels like they are
a lot of the same thing with just different cans
and names to them.

Speaker 10 (35:41):
Well, it's funny you mentioned that, Jonas. This actually is
a previous iteration. This is a previous beer. The Stealing
Sign series was actually released back in twenty twenty and
was making fun of the Houston Astros.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Oh so they're just they're recycling old IPA.

Speaker 8 (35:57):
Come on, come on, come off, See that's not as fun.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
I'll tell you what I'm Hey, Brady, Columbus Brewery.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
Wouldn't found it. I was waiting for that.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Damn. What else you got, lee, guys, In case you missed.

Speaker 10 (36:14):
In a recent interview, Drew Brees was asked when was
the last time he was called about possibly making a
return to the NFL. He laughed, saying it was back
in twenty twenty one, but that he'd let you in
on a little fact. He doesn't throw with his right
arm anymore. He says, my right arm does not work
when I throw in the backyard. Right now, I throw
left handed, obviously, saying this is all due to that
shoulder injury he had back in the San Diego Chargers

(36:35):
in two thousand and five, and says that if he
did still, if he was still able to throw with
his right arm, he would absolutely still be playing.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
That's kind of depressing, Like, guys, he can't even like
throw to his own kids anymore with his good arm
because his arm is completely shot.

Speaker 9 (36:51):
Says he could play pickleball, but he can't throw overhand.

Speaker 8 (36:56):
That sucks.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
That's a little miserable. What a depressing story. I mean,
anything else you want to talk about else, like dead
dead partners and everything else to go along with it
like what else we got going on?

Speaker 9 (37:08):
I got that for later.

Speaker 10 (37:08):
But I do have something a little more lighthearted for you,
maybe a little geography lesson for everybody.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (37:13):
Coach Prime Deon Sanders was asked about his expectations for
his Colorado football team prior to the season starting, led
to quite an interesting sound bite.

Speaker 9 (37:22):
Take a listen my expectations out of the Darren Park.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
You gotta understand.

Speaker 15 (37:26):
Yeah, come on, man, what's the what's those little four
heads that's in Californias?

Speaker 4 (37:32):
The people faces engraved? Yeah?

Speaker 15 (37:36):
Yeah, come on, man, set up? There isn't where I
thought it was in La all this time. Wow, my geography,
that's the only one thing that's what I thought. I'm sorry,
Thank you educating me Jesus out the country.

Speaker 10 (37:56):
Oh you guys, ever missed that day of school where
you you know you forgot to just missed that day
of School's a mistake.

Speaker 6 (38:04):
I mean, just given the landscape of Los Angeles, I
don't think there was any point in time that I
thought that you'd have four of our you know, influential
figures be sketched into a mountain.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
Yeah, there are, there are there four tenths under the
freeway what do you mean?

Speaker 2 (38:18):
It's right there? They got that, you know.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
I think it'd be a much more well known landmark
if it was in that leg.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
So, California, have you guys ever seen Mount Rushmore? I've
never seen it any interesting scene.

Speaker 6 (38:31):
I see pictures of it. I definitely would want to
see it. Yeah, yeah, i'd have ventures.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Yeah, I would like to like to check that out.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Although it's kind of watered it down for me because
everybody turns a sports conversation to do who's the Mount
Rushmore of this?

Speaker 2 (38:44):
And I feel like it just kind of like.

Speaker 6 (38:45):
Like it's interesting too because I just think of Richie
rich remember that movie. Yeah, this isn't like the final
like the end of that movie where he's like hiding
up in like the Mount Rushmore.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
Or something like that, like a nostril or something. Where's
leon this one? Yeah?

Speaker 10 (38:58):
But also North By north West, very famous movie with
Mount Rushmore.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
Lavarr he was hiding in a nostril.

Speaker 4 (39:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
Was he cocaine?

Speaker 4 (39:05):
Yeah, I'm sure
