Tierrack dot com the way tire buying should be so Jeff. Yesterday,

(01:33):
it was a record setting performance from Deron Bland. He
is a second year cornerback for the Cowboys. He recorded
his fifth pick six of the season, an interception for
a touchdown. He's got five of them so far. We're
through week twelve at least for the Cowboys. This was

(01:54):
how his fifth one and most recent ones sounded yesterday
against the Commanders on CBS.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
This is history. The brand could take it the distant
This will be the record to the fifth time as
a pick six. It's never in the history of the NFL.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I'm not a Cowboy.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
You got me with des Combe stance.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
That was unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Right there you go, man, That's how it sounded against
Sam Howell. Their fifth interception for a touchdown by Deron
Bland and Jeff This has been huge for the Cowboys. Obviously,
Trayvon Diggs goes down, who's their stud cornerback and in
walks in Deron Bland, a fifth round pick out of
Fresno State last year. You know, this is like shades

(02:43):
of Richard Sherman at least being a fifth round corner.
And I know it's early, but maybe Riek Woolan with
the Seahawks think about the more recent version. He was
a fifth rounder as well. But Deron Bland is He's
been a huge difference maker for the Cowboys.

Speaker 6 (02:59):
Here it it does feel like interceptions fumble sometimes is
a tad bit of luck right now with pick sixes,
obviously the interception the first place takes a lot of
skill being able to score. I feel like is again

(03:19):
that that five interceptions alone itself will be a very
good season so far, right Yah, and you ab see
the touchdown part of it makes it incredible. So that
part to me is like fun to talk about the interception.
You know, the returns are fun, but like that's not
to me, the important part is other than he's just
getting the five interceptions, right, Am I wrong? On like that?

(03:41):
The part to me is random more than the interception,
which takes the skill.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Yeah, I hear you on that. It's just when you
can say something that's never been going in the history
of the NFL, it's like, wow.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
Really diminishing what he's done. I'm just saying that, Like,
it would be impressive if he didn't even score the touchdowns,
right because the five receptions would you especially you know,
filling it for digs and whatnot. So I've been I've
been impressed. Man, the Cowboys need that right now. Some
of these have happened in blowouts. But what happens if

(04:18):
he doesn't get a pick six, Does that change what
the defense becomes in the playoffs? Are they're relying too
much on this? I would say again that the Cowboys
are the best front runners in the NFL, even better
than your than your Dolphins, Dude. When when they are
when they are leading in a game, they are unstoppable. Man,

(04:38):
they just they've both but that's Arizona. They have one
and covered every single big spread this season. It's incredible.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
It is It's crazy. And that's one of the things, man,
where if we bring the gambling aspect into this. I
don't know how you feel about it, Jeff, but we've
been watching the NFL for so long. The NFL reminds you, hey,
it's not that easy. Look at the Lions yesterday. You know,
the Lions are over a touchdown favorite, and the Packers

(05:10):
tap you on the shoulder and do the de kembe
like that? No, no, no, it's not that easy. And
that's how I feel with the Cowboys when they're going
up against these teams that they're better than they you'll
still get upset, It'll still at least be a close game,
and the favorite doesn't cover the spread. I've been waiting
for that for the Cowboys to happen for weeks now

(05:32):
against lesser opponents, and it hasn't happened. They have boat
raced these teams that they're better than, and that's a
credit to them. But you still like the Dolphins. You
got to see what they have against the big boys.
That's what it ultimately comes down to. Yeah, y was
great too, It was he did a great job with that.

(05:52):
Had a little gravel in his voice, almost like he
sounds he listens to metal over there.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
You know, Oh boy, we don't want that, Dolly pardon
halftime and what a day. Yeah, performances. It was fantastic.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Yeah. Not the greatest reaction uh in the Lions game
to the halftime performance.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
No, no, my wife did say, oh that's what Jack
Harler looks like.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Is that right?

Speaker 6 (06:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Yeah, yeah, that was not highly thought of with Jack Harlow.
I was with family, Like the volume wasn't at full blast.
Can you believe my sister doesn't even follow sports, Jeff,
I don't know how we're related. I don't get that.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
I don't know how that's possible. Like, I like, you know,
there are people that don't watch a super Bowl and
I like one of our nanny friends, she's my age
thirty five, and like, she doesn't watch sports, and she's
really like, doesn't watch Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Wow. That's yeah, that's another level right there. I mean,
that's a piece of Americana.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
What is she like? What do you deal with your
Bowl Sundays?

Speaker 4 (06:55):
I don't know what, you know? Is it chores?

Speaker 6 (06:59):
You know?

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Watch I binge Netflix?

Speaker 6 (07:03):
Netflix?

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Yeah, I knit while watching Netflix. I nitflex Netflix.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
No.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
I was just saying, like, she just doesn't watch sports.
It's just yeah, wow, people are my wife doesn't watch sports?
I guess Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Now, I had the tablet going all day long. Yeah,
I was just hanging out with family and didn't have
the volume on. I'm watching you know, uh the halftime
Show with Jack Harlow and then X Slash Twitter whatever
you call it, went in on this guy. They're just
like this, no thumbs down, no thank you.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
My wife thinks I can I can talk about football
not watching it, so quite It's quite like, I'm like,
can you can you do nursing without without practicing nursing.
It's the most insane thing of all time.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
I'm a parent, but I don't practice parenting.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
Yeah, It's like, it's like, hun, I have to watch
football to talk about football, right, doesn't doesn't it doesn't
compete with her?

Speaker 4 (07:58):
No, it's like, but you really, So we go from
a record setting performance from Deron Bland, fifth pick six
of the season, probably not gonna be a record setting
performance for Jets quarterback Tim Boyle today, Jeff, I don't
think that he's gonna carve up the Dolphins to the
tune of it being a record setting performance. But nevertheless,

(08:19):
he gets the start against the Dolphins in the first
ever Black Friday game. Is this gonna be a disaster
for Tim Boyle in the Jets? Is that what you're
anticipating here?

Speaker 6 (08:29):
I am. So, here's the thing about this game. It's
Tim Boyle is he wasn'tven a good college quarterback, right,
so I don't even know why he would be going
the NFL. But when I heard Nate Hackett or someone
on the Jets say from the long lines of like,
well he's he knows Nicknate Hackett's offense, well like, well,
that's that's not good, Like that's that's the first sign

(08:49):
of not know having knows Nate Hackett has been a
terrible offensive coordinator in his career he somehow gets credit for,
like being on the Packer staff when Aaron Rodgers won
win Mvpiece, he didn't call plays. Every time he's been
in charge of an offense, he has stunk at being
in charge of an offense. So the idea that because

(09:11):
Tim Bowle knows the offense, they're forcing be better this week,
to me is a fallacy. It's not a reality. It's
also worth pointing out since Jalen Ramsey has been back
for the Dolphins three weeks now, defense much better seventeen points,
fourteen points, thirteen points, So you have a better Dolphins
defense with Ramsey and Vic Fangail. Obviously, is DC sort

(09:32):
of figuring it out with the options he has on
his defense against a Jets team without some offensive Linemight
I do it? Though? I do believe Dwayne Brown might
be back this week for the game today with Tim
Boyle as their quarterback, Like, come on, what are we
doing here? What are we doing? I have the under
in this game tonight as one of my favorite wagers
of the week. The Dolphins have shown a little bit,

(09:57):
you know, it's a little tougher for them to move
the ball against defense is like the Jets, and the
Jets have Tim Boyle a quarterback, so I think there's
not a lot of points in this game.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Yeah no, man, that's that's a schwartzism right there. You know,
what are we doing here? What are we doing? I
love that, man, It's a signature phrase from you, and
it certainly applies to Tim Boyle being the starting quarterback
for the Jets today. That might be what Fireman D
is saying instead of leading the j E t s Jets, Jets,

(10:27):
Jets chant, it might be like, what are we doing?
That might be a few things.

Speaker 6 (10:31):
Look, I know that teams don't plan under their quarterback
missing time. And if you are without Aaron Rodgers for
a season, you're you're not going to be a playoff team.
That's just what it is. Right. However, the Jets rightfully
deserve to be criticized for their inability to have a

(10:51):
backup plan because the Chiefs have had a backup quarterback
play in two playoff games on two Super Bowl runs.
Remember Mahomes got Cusgainst the Browns. Yeah, and and chan
Henny had that long touchdown excuse me, the long run
on third down to clinch the game. For them last year,

(11:12):
Mahomes at Hrganst. Jacksonville ched handel in a ninety seven
yard touchdown drive. Yeah, ched, Hanny's not gonna win you
super Bowl. It's not gonna lose your super Bowl probably right,
Like you know, Nick Foles won you know one, and
that was Nick Foles wit playing out of his mind.
But still and you have to have some sort of
option to to and the Jets just went on with

(11:36):
Zach Wilson.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Yeah, I know it. It's that this is this is
the low point for Zach Wilson. Man is getting replaced
by Tim Boyle, who threw more interceptions than touchdowns in college.
I think about that, that's an NFL quarterback that threw
more interceptions than touchdowns in college. And I get some

(12:01):
enjoyment out of the updates of Hey, hey, Aaron Rodgers,
he's nearing a return, and it's like, bro, what is
their record gonna be like when he's maybe ready to go?
And your reaction to that is hysterical to me. It's
again it's the what are we doing guys, he's not
coming back type thing. I don't think the record is

(12:24):
going to be good enough for him to say, Okay,
I'm back the same year.

Speaker 6 (12:28):
Yeah, I'm not a doctor. I've got a lot of injuries.
I pay attention to, you know, injuries and sort of
the process of rehab. So he came me wrong. I
think Aaron Rodgers got hurt in September. Right, So again
I make sure you political scign is not math. But September, October, November,

(12:49):
that's that's twelve weeks essentially. Right. Week fifteen puts him
in the middle of December. So let's say that's fourteen weeks,
give or take, right, because when he had surgery was
you know, mid September. But let's just say fourteen weeks.
The quickest anyone's come back to play football on that
Speedbridge Achille surgery was six months. It was cam Akers

(13:09):
and he wasn't very good when he came back. So
a forty year old quarterback is going to come back
in fourteen weeks from a surgery that no one's come
back from in six months in six It's just it's
Aaron Rodgers wanting attention. It's Aaron Rodgers needing a spotlight
at all times, everyone to talk about him each and
every week. It's needing the validation that he is getting

(13:30):
the love from the media, the hope and the hype
and oh, he's our savior, he's coming back soon. Nice,
the Jets can be thirteen to three. He's not seeing
the football field. Yeah, he is not ready to play football.
This difference between working out and playing football. Is he
ready to escape the pocket if pressure was coming down

(13:51):
on him? Is he ready to move in the way
he has to move to avoid people falling on him? Right?
And like rnning his leg again, Yeah, he's able to
just take a handoff and roll out and get on
the move and throw a bootleg the inswest to that
is all No, And so he's not coming back. No,
Jets won't be good enough either. So I also play

(14:13):
into his favor, but I'm not having a viable option.
And Zach Wilson not only got benched his third stream
this week.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
That's crazy.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
He probably won't even see his jersey, right, they'll probably
dress just dressed two quarterbacks in this game. Yeah, Zach
Wilson's is interesting because it's becoming increasingly easy to understand
that that that COVID year in college football was just inaborration.

(14:43):
It didn't nothing that happened that year carried over like
Zach Wilson was incredible in twenty twenty. Yeah, No, fans
in the stands played a weird schedule twenty twenty. By
the way, Oklahoma, Look, he only had a good defense
in twenty twenty. None of this stuff hell holds up right.
And Zach Wilson had bust potential all over it. One

(15:05):
sort of decent year at BYU, had tons of time
and protection. He had that offensive line that year. Did
he get touched all season? Yeah? And it just very
clearly was like he's just not going to be that guy.
And it's not his fault. He was drafted second overall.
He didn't ask for that to have. If he drafted
the third round, you'll be like, okay, cool, like you know,

(15:26):
he's a career backup whatever. But he drafted the second
overall like that, it's not it's a burden he has
to live with because of his draft slot.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Well, and that's the thing too, is I hear you
on Aaron Rodgers, let's play this game real fast, because
I would compare it a bit and hear me out
to Kevin Durant. Remember when Durant was with the Warriors
and it's the NBA Finals, against the Raptors and Durant
hadn't been playing, he had been nursing a calf injury.
And now it's game five, the Warriors are facing elimination

(15:57):
and KD gives it a go and unfortune, Yeah, the
achilles went. Now what's different with Aaron Rodgers is he
he did have an achilles injury right like he had
he tore his achilles. Yeah, and he's had surgery and
now he's fighting back and all of that. The comparison
I'm making is game five of the NBA Finals compared

(16:20):
to what's the Jets record? When Rogers might be in
a window where he's not fully ready, but he could
get on the field, he could push it. Think about this.
They play the Dolphins two of the next four games.
Let's say they lose out. I'm not expecting the Jets
to win today. Let's say that happens. Let's say they

(16:40):
lose in Miami. Then they have the Falcons and Texans
sandwiched in between. Let's say they split those games, they
would be five and nine. Jeff Like, do you think
that signals a return for Rogers at that point?

Speaker 6 (16:53):
No? Man, No, no, yeah, you know, even like I'm
just like next year. I mean, is Rogers at his
age going to be as effective as we think he
is in this Jets offense next season? Because in the AFC,
everyone has to be compared to you know, can you
beat the Chiefs? Like right now, the Chiefs are having

(17:15):
their worst offensive year and are still the favorites to
win the AFC. They just catch the football. They be
nine to one right now, it's still so you know,
can you know, can can the Jets with the roster
they have built? And by the way, defense typically does

(17:35):
not hold year to year. Now there are situations like
the Ravens for so many years and Steelers that have
been good each year. But like it's hard to rely
sometimes on defense being your calling cards. Like the Jets
really good to defense this season, but it's hard to
just it's just hard every year. Offense is very sustainable,
right because it's a quarterback, but it's quarterback coach. So

(17:57):
is there a guarantee that, like, you know, the Jets
defense will be as good next season? So I just
don't know if the Jets will ever get there with Rogers.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
They might not. Hey, coming up next on Two Bros
and a Cup of Joe Live from the tyreck dot
com studios. You mentioned the name Nathaniel Hackett. Jeff, I
have a special treat for you. There is a player
in the NFL who listed him as the coach, the
head coach he would most want to play for.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
Okay, was it someone on the Chiefs because he was
rooting against the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Maybe that's the case. But we'll give you a little
more information as far as all of that goes. I
love these anonymous player polls. So some interesting results. That's
on the way. I'm Brian, No, he's Jeff Schwartz. Keep
it locked right here on Fox Sports Radio. When's the

pros at Graduatehotels dot com. Man Jeff so I saw

(21:09):
The Athletic They had an anonymous NFL player poll for
twenty twenty three. So he asked various questions and some
of the answers were pretty interesting, right.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
Okay, So I love the I love these I love
these little poll things. It's great.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
Yeah we're talking like under one hundred players, okay, large size. Yeah,
they reached out to them and you know, compiled the
results and all of that. So one that caught my attention,
which current coach aside from your own would you want
to play for? Mike Tomlin was the leader the Steelers
head coach, had about twenty six percent of the votes.

(21:48):
Number two on the list Mike McDaniel the Dolphins.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
He seems super he seems super fun.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
Yeah, that's what a player said. He seems like a
pretty fun coach to play for. Yep, and Reid was
third in line. Bill Belichick twelfth place with only two percent.
And this is my favorite. Nathaniel Hackett received a half vote.
Someone said it's Aaron Rodgers for sure. Maybe I don't know.

(22:16):
I'm gonna split my vote into I'll give half to
Nathaniel Hackett as the head coach I would most want
to play for.

Speaker 6 (22:24):
Wow, it's incredible. That's who who. Wow. This reminds me
of like how NFL players at least used to vote
on on y know, this NFL Top one hundred list.
It's like it's just like you can't take player list
with any sort of like what's the right way to

(22:46):
put it, like seriousness, seriousness, but just like like the
idea that that players give like unbiased opinions on the stand, right, yes, right,
It's just it's just not you can take it seriously
as far as I think, just like the general thought
of like okay, the players are giving their opinions, but like,
it's not it's what you have to do with all

(23:07):
the great assaults. Like it's just it's sort of not
it's favoritism a lot of times, if you haven't played
for like some of these coaches, you would you know,
if you've never really like had a teammate player with
Mike Tomlin, you wouldn't really know about Mike Tomlin. I
mean you might see him on TV. But also to
a lot of players like don't actually watch football. It's

(23:28):
kind of you'd be shocked, Brian about how many guys
like they just watch film and don't actually watch football.
It's it's pretty remarkable. It's because I'm a football fan.
I would go home from games and watch more football,
Like that's what I would do. Yeah, a lot of
a lot of players don't. You really can't take these lists. Look,
they're great for sports talk radio, but like it's a

(23:50):
definitive list of like how players actually feel. I don't.
I think that's you know, no one actually thinks that
Nate Hackett should be a guy that people play for.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
But that's the thing is, it's so funny when the
media votes on something and listen, the media sometimes royally
screws things up, and the media can be completely biased.
And you'll hear this from the players all the time,
is the media shouldn't vote on this award. The players
should do it. The players do the game. It's like, bro,

(24:21):
you guys are even more biased.

Speaker 6 (24:25):
I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this. So for
all pro voting, which again it's the fifty voters, right,
it's a media votes.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
I have.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
People call me about offensive line voting like it's taken seriously. Now,
they might not end up voting for who I think
they should vote for, but they at least like will
take you know, they call me like they want they
want my opinion on it. And that's different than I
think a lot of other of these kind of voting
things like all pro vote is taken very seriously by
the people that actually that do it. Yeah, and so

(25:00):
so when you see all pro voting, that's something that
you should actually take seriously because they care about that
type of voting. You know. Again, like some of the
other stuff, I don't know, you know, these anonymous polls
take it with a great assault, but a lot of
people all pro voting people take it Seriously.

Speaker 4 (25:16):
You'll get a kick out of this one, Jeff. So
just to show how biased players are when they vote
in these type of things. There's another question on this
athletic poll. Yes, best player in the game today? Okay
oo oo, who do we got? So eighty four responses?
Mahomes got forty six percent, so they're not fully crazy, right.
Aaron Donald was next in line. Interesting, Third in line,

(25:40):
Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 6 (25:43):
We thought about this like Osh, I mean, Tyreko MVP
is not a bad it's not a bad aager Man.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Well, I mean he's gonna put up numbers. There's no doubt.
I don't know he's gonna win it. He could be
on the short list. But others receiving votes, Okay, Jeff.
For best player in the game today? A couple that
stood out Javon Hargrave.

Speaker 6 (26:02):
What did von Hargrove answer that question?

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Maybe Elton Jenkins offensive lineman, Aaron Jones, the Packers running
back who missed the game yesterday. Jabrill Peppers safety. Now, seriously,
someone answered the question, Hey, who's the best player in
the game today? And the response was h Jabrill Peppers,

(26:26):
He's the best WI What are we doing right now?

Speaker 6 (26:33):
I'm gonna is he in the Browns?

Speaker 4 (26:35):
He's on the Patriots.

Speaker 6 (26:37):
Now.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
That's the other thing is I had to google it
just to make sure I like it. That's a bad side.
If we don't know who he's playing for right now,
that cannot be a candidate for best player in the
game today.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
So the one blind spot I have for like player
for roster stuff is definitely defensive backs, Like I I
have no idea where the team they're on.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Yeah, that's the blind spot, huh.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
Like offensive lineman obviously easy, defensive backs for some reason. Man,
just I got a blind spotf I don't know. I
don't know sometimes what team they're on.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Man, that's fun. I used to be really good at
knowing the colleges of current players, dude.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
So I once I was once in the NFL radio
and it was like it was like May. Okay, it
was like, you know, June May, it must have been June,
so summer radio, and you know, summer radio sometimes not
you know, not a whole lot happening, but you know,
you make the best of it. June NFL radio and
we're talking about the Lions and Matt Stafford's a couple
of years ago obviously, and and uh, this caller calls in.

(27:44):
It's like, hey, like, what do you think about about
the Lions? Seventh round? Picked Joe Smith? How's he gonna, like,
you know, work for us? Okay, so I assume Joe
Smith is is a wide receiver. We're talking about Matt
Stafford and Lion's offense.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
Okay, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (28:02):
So I know, no idea Joe Smith, just no idea.
So I'm like, you know the Lions offense, you know,
it's just tell me, like like generals about the Lions offense.
He's like, oh, well, the calls is the line. He's like,
Joe Smith is actually a cornerback we just drafted. And
I was like, why are you called? I asked him,
I said, why are you calling in about a Lion's
cornerback a seventh round? What am I going to do

(28:24):
with that? For you? And they got a tweet from
the guy like how dare you do NFL radio not
know the names of the players. I'm like, yeah, sorry, man,
I just you know, sixth round cornerback, I know, seventh round.
You know, I'm not not really my cup of tea, dude, Like,
what are we doing? What are we doing.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
Yeah, that's we're in the weeds now.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
Jabill Pepper is the Patriot. Okay, well I list something
knew every day.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Yeah, best player in the game today, according to one
player that voted on this thing. There's actually one thing
that we'll get into next. Jeff I found the most
interesting about these questions for players. They answered it anonymously.
It's been a topic that's talked about quite a bit,
but it's talked about in a different way in this

(29:10):
player poll. So we'll get to that here. Kevin wired
with us on a Black Friday. He's still on a
turkey high. I've heard from the.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Oh yeah, the I had lunch yesterday, so it's kind
of worn off a little bit in the hour since then.
But man, I can go for another full Thanksgiving meal
right now.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
I could sue that's a good call by you. I
could definitely go for one.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
That's one of the best parts about Black Friday is
the leftover turkey and stuffing, maybe some old gravy heated
up in the microwave. Have some college football, although now
we actually have an NFL today.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Noys made by the way, Kevin, what those mic those
microwaves that just keep beeping. Yes, like, bro, I know
it's done. You don't have to beep five times, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
It's reminding you what you've forgotten. As you know, you've
fallen asleep on the couch with the games on. At
least That' usually what it happened to me. And then
I get woken up by that beatb Oh, yeah, that's right.
I put some leftover Thanksgiving food in there.

Speaker 6 (30:06):
Park. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
We actually have some breaking news going on at this
late hour in the world of Olympics and specifically the Paralympics.
South African former Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius has been granted
parole for his twenty four or at twenty thirteen murder
of his girlfriend, The Department of Corrections in South Africa

(30:31):
has stated today. Known as the Blade Runner, he went
from a public hero as a Paralympic champion to a
convicted killer. He was sentenced to a few years, there
was an appeal, he was found guilty of a higher crime,
the sentence was given light, the Supreme Court added to
it and then now he's been paroled. So it's been
a back and forth story here. But yeah, a convicted killer,

(30:54):
Oscar Pistorius has been granted parole in South Africa.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
But on a better note.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Here, we do have football coming up today on at
Black Friday, Dolphins and Jets, the first ever Black Friday
game in NFL history, will be streamed on Amazon Prime. Ne'
get going at three o'clock Eastern time. And it wouldn't
be Thanksgiving without football, would it. As we had a
triple header of NFL action, although the two of the
three games were not close at all, and the first
one didn't look like it was going to be closed either.

(31:21):
Give credit to the Lions. They came back after they
were down twenty to six after the first quarter in
twenty three to six at halftime. They clawed the way
back but would fall just short, losing to the Packers
twenty nine to twenty two. The other two games though
not even close, The Cowboys pound the Commanders forty five
to ten, three hundred thirty one passing yards and four
touchdowns for Dak Prescott and Deron Bland again getting a

(31:45):
pick six. It seems like we said that a bunch
of times, and it's his fifth one this season that
sets a new NFL record, and the forty nine ers
over the Seahawks thirty one to thirteen, as Rock Purty
threw a pick six but otherwise played adequately enough to
get the win two undred nine yards and a touchdown.
Christian McCaffrey, though leading the way offensively, did have one
hundred and fourteen yards and two touchdown runs. And in

(32:09):
the college ranks, we have some ranked teams on the
menu today. At noon, we have a couple of games
Number thirteen Oklahoma and TCU in Norman, and also we'll
have number seventeen Iowa and Nebraska. The total for this
game just twenty four and a half points. Number twenty
three two Lane hosting UTSA at three point thirty. At
four it'll be Missouri and Arkansas, Number seven Texas Texas Tech.

(32:31):
At night at seven thirty, another game at seven thirty
over in the Big Ten, number eleven Penn State in
Michigan State, and capping off the day of college football
and Black Friday, the Civil War over in Eugene, Number
sixteen Oregon State in number six Oregon. We'll have to
see whether or not that's rivalry be played in the
future because they don't have an agreement yet to continue
playing next so we'll see when they'll play again, but

(32:53):
they'll have at least one more as packed twelve members,
both of them at least tonight at eight thirty. They'll
be seen on five Fox Back You guys.

Speaker 4 (33:01):

(33:25):
is blown with Oscar Pistorius here, Jeff.

Speaker 6 (33:28):
I know I saw that. I saw that news earlier.
The name had not popped up in my am my
head quite a while.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Wow, Yeah, granted parole. Like Kevin just said, convicted killed
his girlfriend and it's like one of these Okay, he's
been paroled. So when did this crime take place? Like
nineteen sixty seven or something like that. No, twenty thirteen.
He shot and killed his girlfriend on Valentine's Day? Jeff, yeh,

(33:55):
twenty thirteen, and he's like free to go now, really.

Speaker 6 (34:00):
Uh, yeah, I just saw the headline. I didn't. Yeah,
it seems a little early, right.

Speaker 8 (34:05):
Whoa, Yeah, seems Uh that's wild on light of news.
I'm glad you got my my hot pockets reference that
was you have the voice of an angel, Jeff, telling
you're wasting your time in sports radio.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
I appreciate somewhere.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
I appreciate. Yeah, did you see? I happened to miss
this yesterday? Did you did you see? Uh? Dak Prescott
pulled turkey leg.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
Out of Yes, that's when you know it's a blowout.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
No.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
Well, here's the thing though, it's a prop right, can
you they know?

Speaker 6 (34:40):
But they planned this like they thought they were gonna
win so badly that Dak Prescott put a turkey leg
in the Salvation Army pots to pull it out, knowing
that they were going to kick the commander's butt that badly.
Like that's when you know, like like like Rivera's gotta go,
Like when you get embarrassed like that a national TV

(35:00):
and they know they're going to beat you that badly, Yeah,
it's time. It's time to hang them up, coach.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
That's what I want to know, Jeff. The planned celebrations
that didn't take place because they weren't blowing out the
other team, you know what I mean, Like who's the
guy that had the sharpie and his sock like tarall
Owens And they ended up losing twenty four to three
and it didn't work out. Or the Joe Horn cell phone,
but you're right. The turkey legs were planted well in

(35:27):
advance anticipating the Cowboys blowing out Washington, which they did,
and he's eating a turkey leg mid game, and I
thought it was great.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
I'm glaure.

Speaker 6 (35:39):
That that was the last play of the game for him.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
No, well it might have been for him. I can't
remember if he got back in there. Yeah, because it
was the pick six right, and Washington just ran the
clock out and I needed them to score points of
any kind, Jeff, for a couple of vested interests I had,
and they were like, yeah, let's just run the ball.

Speaker 6 (36:03):
Well, I had the Niners in my contest, so that
was one to Oh, I'll take it.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
That's good for you. I needed a Washington. I did
a ladder with with Sam Howell passing yards, yeah, which
worked out. That was the right call. It was the
right handicap and I messed up. I was like, you
know what, let me tie it to their team total
over twelve and a half. Twelve and a half, so
an adjusted line. I'm like, I'm not getting greedy. Let's

(36:28):
just you know, sprinkle a little bit. Yeah, they got
shut out in the second half, no points.

Speaker 6 (36:33):
So that was today. I think Nebraska I would play.
We've talked about that total. It was like twenty four, right, yeah,
because I'm a I just I need some I need
this in my life. I did a thirteen point teaser
all right. Yeah. I did this at this on when
I was in New York on Tuesday. So the numbers,
some numbers have changed. So I took I teased this

(36:54):
down to thirteen and a half.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Okay, it took the over You gotta get over that.
That's it the benchmark. We just got to get over that.

Speaker 6 (37:02):
Over thirteen and a half. I took Ohio State Michigan
over thirty three. I think it was thirty thirty two
and a half. Yeah. Yeah, I tease the Ducks down,
the Utes down, and Arizona to like plus three for
all college football teaser. That's it's just incredible. Thirteen point.
It's like plus one for a five leg thirteen point teaser.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
You know it's crazy is those are harder to hit
than you would think.

Speaker 6 (37:28):
Oh, it's just for fun, twenty bucks on it.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
But it's like you're like, how could this lose? As
soon as you think, how could this possibly go wrong? Somehow,
some way, it'll show you, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (37:42):
This one goes wrong. Like well, it's just it's it's Utah.
Here's I'll tell you why. So Utah Colorado play tomorrow's
on Patrok Network. The reports are Utah is playing their
fifth string quarterback in this game. Oh my gosh, yeah,
that Bryceon barneses Out who's been playing all year for them.

(38:02):
The four string guy Nate Johnson has left the team, right,
it's all these are these are now these are rumors, right,
I mean, they're not confirmed. I'm telling you.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
It's what we got to stretch our legs out with
more college football coming up here.

Speaker 6 (38:15):
Joe, it's what the it's what the it's what the
tweets are, you know, it's it's it's what the intel's
telling you. Yeah. And and so they're playing a fifth
string JC transfer making us first start for the years.

Speaker 4 (38:26):
Yep, yep, yep.

Speaker 6 (38:27):
Yeah, that's how I lose that? That thirteen?

Speaker 4 (38:30):
All right? Coming up next on Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe Live from the Tirec dot com studios.

this was the most interesting part of the anonymous player

(41:04):
pole here Jeff NFL player pole the athletic So there
were eighty one responses turf versus Grass debate, overblown or
real concern, and just under eighty three percent voted real concern.
And what I found interesting one player said, you wake

(41:25):
up in the morning feeling ten times better after you
played on grass compared to compared to when you played
on turf. Yes, And there was a ligneman who said,
you feel like bleep, especially being a big guy running
on turf. Your knees hurt, when you fall in trip,
you don't want to get up. You feel it the
next day a lot. I find that to be really

(41:46):
interesting because all the time when I hear turf versus grass,
and the players say, oh no, no, turf, it's an
injury thing, and the NFL comes back and says, well,
the injury results are very comparable between grass and turf.
But the responses on this ball, they're like, it's not
just the injuries, man, it's how you feel the next
day after you play on turf.

Speaker 6 (42:07):
It's it's a wear and tear thing like when we
would when we would practice in the turf facility later
in the year when it's cold outside, like I would
I would have much rather just practicing the cold outside
on the grass and practicing the turf inside your body
just you know, for guys in my size, like your
feet and ankles and knees, it just your hips. It
just hurts a lot more when you play on turf

(42:28):
than when you you're you're running on concrete. Liked of concrete.
Then when you're playing on grass and that the giving
surface of the you know, the of the of the turf,
of the grass turf, you know, the the sod and
when it's it makes a huge difference the injury thing. Look,
obviously they have data that might show otherwise. I think
it does. I think turf is much worse the wear

(42:49):
and tear of the season on your body. Practicing on
turf every day. It's just not fun. You don't feel
good after playing practicing on turf.

Speaker 4 (42:59):
Yeah, man, no doubt.

Speaker 6 (43:01):
All right.

Speaker 4 (43:01):
Coming up next, we got Ranked versus Ranked today, Jeff.
With the Civil War going on, your ducks in action,
some other interesting college games as well, and we'll start
to look forward to the weekend as well in the
final hour of the program, so stay tuned for all
of that as the Ball Buffet moves on in grand fashion.
