Speaker 2 (00:33):
Pun you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, you know about at Iowa. Sam Spittoon, Boy, I
don't know.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
I just had some one of my buddies text me
and he said, sadly, the wheelchair situation is one hundred
percent on which you claim it is.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Oh yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
He exclusively does the Southwest flights to go travel to
his family. And Uh, it was something that I brought
to his attention because I told my wife and I
was like, yeah, I don't think everyone who's in the
wheelchairs like always need him. I'm not trying to pass
judgment or anything else. I'm just saying like it was
an example of like they're just trying to get on
the plane first without paying for it. And literally she's

(01:21):
on the flat with me and we're with all the kids.
And as soon as they made the announcement out there's
no wheelchairs or it was gonna be a little while,
everyone popped up at the first three rows for four
rows and like bounce off the plane quick, and we
were like, oh, okay, well there's kind of a proof there,
I guess.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
The thing that bothers me about standing in line at
Southwest is the people that are like trying to look
over your shoulder to see what you are, like.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
What number you? What number you? Oh, I'm actually the
seas I'm just trying to pull one over on you.
It's a bluff. It's a bluff. You call my bluff.
I'm gonna sit down there. It's so annoying, Like the
best is my number, isn't it? Like position? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
But they want to see like like where are you?
Excuse me? Like which which group are you? Like be
like right where the sign says.

Speaker 6 (02:05):
I am when south I always do pre pre boarding
always right?

Speaker 4 (02:11):
See how do you even get pre boarding? I don't know.
My wife handles it because I was gonna say.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Like you know, my, my, my, good sir, my friend,
ye are or a professional athlete?

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Like there's no reason you should the extra time to
board that plane?

Speaker 6 (02:27):
Yeah, I need extra time. I need extra time. I
was a professional athlete and back.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
The only thing that I also find in then is
if you do have like the the a one position
when like other people are always so, so what number
are you? It's like, well, if I'm standing here in front,
clearly you're not a one, you know, so why don't
you just go behind me somewhere and figure that out?

Speaker 6 (02:54):
I do know I used the wheelchair not too long ago.
I told you all that I used the word that
was for your gout though that was like the actual
I'm old, I'm old cute.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Or not that old dude.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Hey, bro, I'm telling you I die my hair and
I wear young people's gear.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
I try to move like a young man. But I'm old.
You tie your hair?

Speaker 6 (03:10):
Hell yes, i'd be full grade really Hell yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Thought I see like a little gray. Sometimes I don't
think you were, Like I mean, I'm not I'm not
great gray. I'm not I'm not all the way great.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
When I start going full gray, I'm letting it go.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
My beard is fully gray. It's kind of more gray,
way more gray than anything else.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
That's wisdom right there, that's what that is. Come on,
I don't know. That's like the rings around like an
oak tree. You know. I'm not ready for it. I'm
not ready for it. Not ready. Nope.

Speaker 6 (03:43):
Then I'd be watching these like little dating shows when
I do the sh like when we do the show
and I'm doing it from different location. I always like
go on Netflix and watch the dating shows and it's like, man, like,
I remember there was a time where I looked somewhat
presentable for.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Like a show like this. Come on.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Then I start feeling sorry for myself. One thing leads
to another and can come to the conclusion, I'm old.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
You're back, though, Does it count when's the last time
you've been punched in the face? And does it count
if it's one of your kids. My daughter literally just
punched me in the face and she was a meaning
to she just I was like, oh.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
God, I haven't had that happen in a while.

Speaker 6 (04:21):
I mean, that's that's But if it's from your daughter,
that's kind of like, you know, you're tough, You're like
you can handle anything.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
You're oh yeah, I didn't say it. I was like, oh,
thank you for that. I was like, we'll keep going
on with.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
The day like your dad. I was like, all right,
well there's that. You get punched in the face. Yeah, hero,
let me help you continue to get dressed. While you
punched me in the face.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
She was putting her arm like through her shirt, you
know how somebody's getting stuck, and she like accelerate that
thing through to the sleeve and I like, literally my
face was at the other end and just whack.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
I was like, oh she did she?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
What was her reaction she had? Like apologetic? Did she?
Because when my son accidentally which is very rare because
most time it's intentionally, hits me in the face, but
when he accidentally does it, he comes up and gives
me a kiss on the cheek because he feels.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Yeah, she didn't do any of that. She just goes, oh,
she goes sorry. Like that was a question like like
should she apologize?

Speaker 5 (05:15):
And I was kind of like, you know what, I
wander in game mode because they have soccer down, soccer
starting up, and I keep trying to tell them like
you gotta be aggressive, you gotta be tough, like that's
the demeanor. So I was like, yeah, don't feel bad
about hitting that, Like, don't feel bad, Like I don't
want them to feel bad every time they like run
into someone or hit someone, like that's part of sports.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
And I kind of I kind of had to take.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
A stand there, like this is a teaching moment. Well,
let him get some time with Uncle var Man. I'll
teach them all of the ways, the old ways of
being tough as hail, you.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Know what I mean. I think I'm gonna put a
like you guyslair over.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
I wouldn't be surprised if Santa Claus, you know what
I mean, puts a pair of brass knuckles in my
son's stocking this year, put it that way.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Did I tell you guys, can't worry.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
Did I tell you all the story about how my
kids found out that Santa wasn't real?

Speaker 4 (06:04):
I told you how I used to always put what
you're talking about. I used to always put.

Speaker 6 (06:09):
Baby powder down on the ground from coming from the fireplace.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Santa Israel, It's gonna be here, and like what you're.

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Talking about, Well, my attempt to be I guess my
version of Santa went horribly wrong because I put the
baby powder down from from the you know, from the fireplace.
It was tracked in with with you know shoes, that
the cookies was you know, half chewed up, the milk

(06:38):
was sipped down. And one of my daughters was like, Daddy,
the Santa where the same flip flops as you. Yes, yes,
I had under armor bottom. The under armor bottom imprint
was in the in the it was it was in
the baby powder.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
No, no, look, baby Santa all.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Still wants to protect this house, you know. So he's
just leaving the stamp to make sure it.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
Quick enough because I had under armor flip flops.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
And can I can I recommend a Christmas movie for
you guys that we're okay because we're talking about Santa
Claus was style because apparently he wears under armours from
time to time. But have you seen the Christmas Chronicles
on Netflix. Kurt Russell is Santa Claus and it's awesome
and he is the most fashionable Santa Claus in the

(07:29):
history of Santa Claus is. So if you are a
Kurt Russell fan, and who isn't, And if you're not
a Kurt Russell fan, you are a loser. You got
to watch Christmas chronicles on that is that's the.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
One where the police officers were chasing after him. Yes, yeah, yes,
Which is the best Kurt Russell movie.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
I know we've done this before, but what would you
say is the best Kurt Russell movie?

Speaker 4 (07:48):
He used cars, Big Trouble in Little China.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Wow, Overboard.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
I was just gonna say Overboard didn't get a first
mess mention. That's kind of crazy. Goldie Han was awesome
and overall I think she stole the show talking about
Russell movies.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Just the first one I thought about, you know, first
thing I thought about. Although I like gold I love
Goldie Hon and Wildcats, like that's my favorite of Goldie Han.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
You know my favorite part, My favorite part on Wildcats
is when like the rich guy who I think is
her ex husband love is talking to the to the
big guy, yeah, and the guy tries to get involved.
He goes, you just keep your fat ass out of it,
and he hits him in the andes no charge.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
He's got to be old man now, right, yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Seventies Yeah, but.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
He's been in movies for seventy two.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
I mean Backdraft, come on, man, I thought number one. Yeah, thing,
the thing.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
I remember watching the thing. That was like one of
the first movies I watched.

Speaker 6 (08:53):
Hey, y'all remember the movie Swamp Thing. Yeah, of course, okay,
so I'm not crazy, thank you.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah. I thought it was a dope movie. They made
like two or three of them, right. I was scared
as hell to going to swamp because of that.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Damn trust me. I'm better.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
But that was not that funny. I thought it was
pretty good.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Well, let me tell you what is either, and that's
the arm of Joe Flacco.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
That's what's not funny.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
That's because Joe Flacco still got a cannon, a Hallitzer,
Baby he will and Alex Van Pelt, the offensive coordinator.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Of the Cleveland Browns, panther baby. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
By the way, is there Joe Flacco stuff all around
the Delaware campus at your son sees bar. They love him, bro,
Why wouldn't they super Bowl champion?

Speaker 4 (09:45):
He is the man so uh Delaware, And.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
It looks like he's going to be the man If
dtr can't start for the Browns because he's in concussion protocol,
Joe Flacco is back. He could be the starter at
the world's largest gazebos o Phi Stadium against the Rams
this Sunday and his offensive coordinator was talking about that cannon.

Speaker 7 (10:06):
Yeah, well he was gonna lead arm There's no question.
If you put it in a scale of one to five,
I'd say he's a five. His his ball flight, his
velocity on the ball, you know, at every level of
the field, it's very impressive.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
But guys got excited.

Speaker 7 (10:19):
You know, he threw some balls against the scout team
last week and the guys in the back were kind
of fired up.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Got Joe Flacco's back, right, they got they got any chance?
Or is that Aaron is Aaron Donald the worst person
you want to see if you're a returning quarterback at
forty years old.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Pretty high up there.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
I mean the other worst guy would be Miles Garrett
who plays with the Browns though, so he sees him every.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Day in practice. That yeah, night was dangerous. Yes, it
was like a Parson is one of those guys.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
Although, by the way, if to get on a tangent,
did you notice how much they're targeting Bland? Yeah, he
got so so and here's and we said this earlier,
Like I don't know if you guys asked this or
someone else is talking about this with their like, well,
he should he.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Be up for Defense Play of the Year.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
I said, yeah, you could say that, but I said,
I don't know that any players would vote for him,
because if they keep throwing at him, they're already telling
you something like clearly they're not scared to throw at him,
because if he was that good, he doesn't have like
any stats, because every quarterback is like, yep, nope, not
worth it, you know, like not even gonna try that guy,

(11:21):
like you get. I mean like cham Bailey was like
that guy, like not many teams would test him.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
And so like every once in a while and every
run scouts team in Denver.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Throw like a goball to what of like these young
like practice squad players who had speed and you know,
and it was practice. So he was gonna go up
and like risk like contesting a ball or anything else.
And he'd always come back and just kind of laugh
like shake his head because he's like they're not gonna
do that in a game. I'm like, yeah, well, I
was like, I gotta keep you make sure you in
your toes, buddy, got to make sure you're ready out there.
But I mean that that's the difference, like if at

(11:52):
least it's a defensive back. And that's why I think
it's harder for those dbs to win Defensive Player of
the Year too, because it's hard to make a case
if they're not never targeted or thrown at. I mean,
Drell Reeves was very rarely targeted because he just there's
no point, like you weren't going to have many receivers
that could win that matchup, by the way, they.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
Did go at Bland's neck out of the way. But
I'll tell you what, Cleveland. With Joey Flacco, he's aware
of what's going on in the in the AFC North.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
It could be you know, I could see him.

Speaker 6 (12:27):
Being sensible in game, managing you know what what's going on.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
I don't.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
I've never seen Joe Flacco as a type of guy
that's going to go outside of what is needed from him,
and I think it's a great I'm surprised, and I
think we did bring this up. I'm surprised that New
York didn't look to do something with him. I know
he was in New York at one point though, right.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, but I'm surprised.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
Last year, I'm surprised they didn't bring him back. I
think fla that goes one of those guys that can
give you two or three games as a starter at
this point in his career and give you a legitimate
chance to win the game because of his understanding of
what's going on out there. So I think that's a
tremendous move out of Browns if you ask.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
Me, well, the irony is the last time he started
a game, or should last time last time he won
a game?

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Was I believe in Cleveland last.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
Year that the miraculous like down by two scores under
two minutes and somehow he brought them back. And that
was a part of that whole you know, streak of
wins that the Jets got that were improbable and Jets
fans tried to get on me for it, you know,
for you know, saying their season wasn't gonna work out
too well, which it was a flip flop, like there
this the front end of the season ended up being

(13:44):
better than the back end and ended up exactly where
we thought it'd be.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
But now, what's the better matchup? Is it Rams Browns
this weekend, or is it Jimmy Haslam versus Warren Buffett?
Like what do you think is the better matchup between
those two because Jimmy Buffett is our Warren. Jimmy Buffett,
Warren Buffett.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Is m.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
Yeah, I got, I got Jimmy on the You're bringing
back PTSD for Lee?

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Yeah, sorry about that lead. If it makes you feel better,
I'll show you pictures of my dead dog. So we're
on the same page here. But Warren Buffett apparently they're
not happy with.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
Jimmy talk any further unless you are going to play
like a I don't know some Jimmy Buffet right all right.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
So I mean.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
We got to Jimmy Buffett on tap or we're still
working on the Spatoon drop. So what's this that that
Warren Buffett's company has evidence that Jimmy Haslam tried to
bribe them to inflate the value of their of the
selling point of their company. Yeah, because I mean, you

(14:53):
know this stuff better than I do. I mean, you
know Cleveland and Jimmy Haslam.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Yes, I heard some of this summer of how honestly
Haslam had sold off the remaining I think it was
twenty percent of Pilot, which is like the gas station
you know, Foolling Center. You'll see they have the nice
convenience stores and all that. Literally was just that one
last week, like the fantastic fantastic Spots anyway, sold off

(15:17):
the last twenty percent to Berkshire Hathaway. And I heard
about this because I was hearing about the plans for
the Browns. There's all these future plans of Hey, maybe
they're gonna redo the stadium, maybe it's a dome, maybe
they can get more events in there, all this stuff, right,
and then I was like, huh, I wonder why I
we hadn't heard anything more from that, and come to
find out, basically has Them was reported to have paid

(15:43):
personal bonuses to executives that would far exceed their annual
salaries based on the price they were to receive for
their remaining stake, and then what they were trying to
do is inflate their profitability for the remaining twenty percent.
And this all came about via lawsuit that was fired
really actually a counterclaim by Berkshire Hathaway to a response

(16:07):
from Jimmy HASLM Pilot. So not to make this too confusing, basically,
Pilot said, hey, you changed our accounting practices and this
makes the remaining twenty percent of our company not look
as valuable as it actually is. And then Berkshire Hathrow
is like, no, we changed your accounting standards because hey,

(16:28):
this is how we believe you should be accounting for
your numbers. And b we found out you were promising
bonuses that would far exceed salaries for these executives inflating numbers.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
So that is where it's at right now.

Speaker 5 (16:42):
We'll see where things end up when it's all said
and done. I don't know what they would say the
delta is as far as the difference of value between
what HASLM was hoping to get out of it and
what Berkshire Hathaway is willing to pay. But this sort
of thing isn't that uncommon that you have a company
sung it's you know, it's it's remaining equity stake to
another company and they're trying to make him a look

(17:04):
as profitable as possible.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Yeah, throw a few bucks, you know, how about the
big one?

Speaker 5 (17:08):
And again, and Warren Buffett is one of you know,
the greatest you know, financial minds of our generation.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
So uh, you know, he's clearly you know, he's he's.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Kind of seen it done at all before, and he's
not allowed Jimmy hasl in this case to get one overall.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Now, Warren Buffett does have a relationship with Daminkan Sue.
So do we think to try and smooth things over.
Jimmy Haslm says, I'll tell you what, one year deal
the rest of the year, thirty million dollars and Dominican
sue come on in, try and chase a lot of
spot for the right. Yeah, but listen, I mean, considering
how much he paid those you know people to inflate
the numbers, and why not.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
You know, my thought was like.

Speaker 5 (17:43):
Maybe maybe you know, Jimmy Haslm walks in and plays
some Jimmy Buffett for Warren Buffett, great cole that smooths
the whole thing of World War Timely, what do we got?

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Eight?

Speaker 3 (17:52):
He's no relation to Jimmy, is he?

Speaker 4 (17:55):
No, there's not none at all.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
In fact, imagine if they just started playing this walking
into the room, and then Warren's like, you know, you're right,
let's just settle this all right, meet somewhere in the middle.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Now, how many other than five o'clock summer other than
Jimmy and Warren? Are there any other Buffets that you
can think of? I can't think of anybody. They got it.

Speaker 5 (18:16):
I think the more confusing thing is how like most
people you know that are famous Warren Buffett, Jimmy Buffett,
But then everywhere I look, I see like Home Country buffet.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
Yeah, that's like how do you how do you call
in one spot?

Speaker 4 (18:32):
But everyone else who's a person calls it buffet.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
That's a great call. I think it's t's, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (18:38):
I mean does that make the difference? Is how we're
looking at this? Dude, I was sitting here thinking this.
I was like, I felt like that. I'm so glad
you said it, because that's what I was thinking. All right.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
By the way, buddy, just think about Warren buffet doesn't
sound as strong it does Jimmy buffet.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
You know, you're going to go eat out a buffet?
Should you call it? I'm going to eat at the buffet?

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Now?

Speaker 5 (19:02):
Yeah, that doesn't sound as appetize, correct, you know, Lee,
that's actually a good code word you and Todd can
use when you go to Margaritaville.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Just tell you the missus, Hey, we're going to eat
at the buffet.

Speaker 8 (19:11):
Now, We're going to the buffet.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Yeah, why not, let's go. Let's go get some buffet
right now. And little they know you're having like thirty
six ounds Margarita is on the way.

Speaker 9 (19:22):
Instead of a Jimmy Buffett Saturday, it's a Buffet Saturday.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Yeah, why not.

Speaker 8 (19:28):
Saturdays? Is Jimmy Buffett Saturdays?

Speaker 4 (19:31):
What Da says? What does Dak say again? Yeah? Here
we go? Here we go? Yeah, here we go, Here
we go.

Speaker 6 (19:42):
It's kind of it's dope branding. I mean, it's dope branding,
you know. Yeah, you put that on a T shirt
and put it on a T shirt.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
He comes up with like a Here we Go productions
to compete with Eli's and Peyton's Oma productions.

Speaker 6 (19:55):
I mean, he's a cowboy, you know. They they seem
to have very, very very tremendous success rates at at
quarterback going into television, so you know, why not why
not take advantage? Hey hey, Jerry, you know, can we
get this going? I could see it happening, you know,
and he's playing really well. He is playing God I

(20:17):
hate talking well about It's weird because I've rooted for
them because of Seawann Lee and now because of Michael Parsons.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
I root for them, but I don't really root for
the team. So then from the.

Speaker 6 (20:32):
I guess the aspect of breaking them down intelligently as
I can. You know, you you look for I look
for the good things. I try to be even, but
I don't. I'm always happy when I can talk bad
about them. It's just that's just how I'm wired with Dallas.
But they look good, man, Dallas looks good. I'm telling

(20:54):
you that is going to be a thump between them
and Philly.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
Man, that's going to be a thump.

Speaker 6 (21:01):
So I'm interested to see how that one plays out,
like how they match up, because they you know, when
when Seattle needed to get stops, they couldn't stop them.
They couldn't stop them. They they kind of did that
smash mouth type stuff, couldn't stop them. So I'm I'm
kind of high on Dallas right now. Not super high,

(21:22):
but hi.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
I mean, I'm high on tire rack because we are

fat ass out of this.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Or it's the sport of kings better than diamond rings.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Football football, Yeah, Wildcats had to have been dominated for
an Oscar, one of the great underrated football movies of
all times. Rapping right there? Yeah, whaty Harrelson was in
that movie?

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Right?

Speaker 10 (23:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (23:47):
He was. Yeah, he was the quarterback until they went
out and got burn. Hey.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
By the way, I thought we were supposed to play
nothing but Christmas music during the holidays, and here's Sam
going against the rules. Sam, you keep this up, you're
out of here in two weeks.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
That'll be ten dollars right.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
There we're talking about now.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
You know why he plays Christmas music because Jonas has
told him you are to play Christmas this music.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
That is my Christmas music, right there, Hey, keep it up, Sam,
watch this movie during the holidays.

Speaker 8 (24:12):
It'll make you feel good.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Sam, You'll be off this show so fast it'll make
your head spin. You keep this up.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
It's football better than diamond rings, do you think. Yeah?
I told him he's a sucker, and that man bird
he's a bad mother. Wow.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, Lebar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox
with you. By the way, we are going to spread
him coming up here in a little over fifteen minutes
from now our picks against the spread in the NFL.
But right now it is a Friday tradition here during
the college football season. By the way, how many more

(24:54):
of these are we going to have other than the
conference championship game? I guess we got some games the
conference championship games. We got the bowl games later, but
as far as ranked team on ranked team crime in
college football. But we're running that opportunities to hear Quinn's wins.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
So that being said, he's got the Big Ten championship.
Huh yeah, Well we can do where you're at that.

Speaker 5 (25:15):
I'll be quick though, because there are a number of
top twenty five matchups.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
So let's get kicked off.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
Let's get started in the Pack twelve Championship and look,
this is.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
The last last one as we know.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Unfortunately both these teams to moving to the Big Ten
in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
But it doesn't take away from the fact.

Speaker 5 (25:38):
But it's a win and you're in for both Washington's
twelve to zero and reke number three in the college
football rankings and the number five Oregon Ducks that eleven
and one who's only lost came to these Washington Huskies
on a cool, dreary day earlier this season in Seattle.
This time around, though, it feels like things are going

(25:58):
to be different than Ducks are favored by ten points
for this monumental matchup taking place at Allegiant Stadium in
Las Vegas, and maybe for good reason.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Bo Nicks has been on an absolute hot.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Streak and then you feel that if he wins this game,
he will be also not only playing for a shot
of the national championship in the playoff, but hoisting him
the Highestman trophy. But Michael Pennix is not so fast,
my friends. He has been dynamic through the air this year,
and their offense has also added a little bit of
balance to with Jill and Johnson in the past a
couple of weeks, but The problem is people feel like

(26:35):
their defense may not be able to hold up this
time around versus Oregon.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
I still think this one is tight. It's close, I
take or excuse me.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
I think it's Washington and the ten points is the
best bet in this one. All right, let's go to
the Big Twelve championship game. Oklahoma State at nine and
three rig number eighteen in your polls is taking on
Texas at eleven and one. Has only lost this season
came in the Red River shootout versus Oklahoma, and their

(27:06):
concern here for Texas is they can't afford not to win,
and not to win convincingly.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
Sitting at number.

Speaker 5 (27:13):
Seven right now behind the likes of some of the
other conference champs and even non potential conference champs in
the Ohio State University. The challenge for Texas to this one,
we will be stopping Oli Gordon, maybe the best running
back in college football right now for Oklahoma State. He's
been on an absolute tear this season. But what about
the job Mike Gundy has done. After this Oklahoma State

(27:34):
team had struggled to kind of find its rhythm, now
has built itself into a Big twelve contender. This line
currently sitting at fifteen the last time I looked. It's
a big number and too big for me to think
that Texas will be able to cover it, especially without
one of their top players, Jonathan Brooks at running back.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
Now, they do have a stable of.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
Backs there at Texas, but to me, it hasn't been
quite as dynamic without the hell of one Jonathan Brooks.
So again, take the points here, fifteen points and Oklahoma
State to keep it within that number, all right? Next
up a matchup in the SEC. Number one undefeated, two
time champion of college football, the Georgia Bulldogs, a twelve

(28:17):
to zero take on Alabama number eight eleven to one
this season, that only loss coming at home to Texas
earlier this year, and that's where there could be a
lot of intrigue, a lot of debate depending if Bama
can pull off the upset. They're a five and a
half point underdog in Atlanta for the SEC Championship game,
and the offensive looked a lot better this season. Maybe

(28:39):
you're not feeling that way after we saw in the
Iron Bowl. Nonetheless, a fourth and thirty one fourth and
goal miracle at the end of the game by Jalen
Milrode Isaiah Bond was the difference and Alabama still keeping
their hopes alive and many feel with a win they
will be in to the College Football Playoff. The question
becomes will Georgia be out as a twelve one non

(29:01):
conference champ Either way, this is a five and a
half points spread, one that I feel like it's just
big enough to feel comfortable about Alabama being able to
keep this one close.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Both defenses are very evenly matched.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
Georgia with Carson Beck who's kind of flown under the radar,
should be considered for a heis mccannony, he's played phenomenal
this year. He's throwing to one of the best players
in the country. And Brock Bowers, who is now back healthy.
But for this matchup, to me, it's all about Jalen Milroe,
not only his ability to throw downfield, but running the football.
I think you'll see a healthy dose of that. So
I think Bama keeps this one within the number and

(29:33):
don't be shocked if Bamba doesn't flat out pull off
the upset.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Two more to get through.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
We got the ACC Championship Game twelve and zero Florida
State now playing against Louisville's ten and two at number fourteen.
This is all going to be about tay Rodemaker and
whether or not he can make enough plays, manage the
game and throws to his playmakers Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson,
or even just handing the ball off to the Trey
Betts on the outside to be able to cover this
number that was at one point two and a half.

(30:01):
It's now down in some books to one and a half.
So this is the tightest one that This is ultimately
the one that I think most.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
People are curious to see.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
If Louisville can pull off the upset, you're gonna be
looking at Florida State on the outside looking in. And
even if Florida State wins, there's some concern that would
they still get in. I personally do. I don't think
the playoff committee is gonna leave them out either way.
You lay the point and a half here of Florida State.
A heavy dose of Benson, a heavy dose of big
plays to Keon Coleman will be enough for Florida State.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
To cover this number.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
And finally, the Big Ten champions, Yeah, Michigan taking on
the Iowa Hawk guys, the number two Wolverines coming off
their big win over the Buckeyes just a week ago,
and it was once again a combination of physical dominance
and enough play making by their quarterback Jaj McCarthy.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
And the storyline for this one is they.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
Get back their head coach, Jim Horrorball, and that's a
huge line. In some books that got its high as
twenty three and a half and some it's now down
to twenty one and a half. So shop if you will.
Iowa having a really tough time scoring this season. That
doesn't take away from the fact that they've got one
of the best defense in the country, they've got one
of the the best punter in the country, and they've

(31:11):
got some special teams that'll really wow you. This is
one where the number at twenty one and a half,
it's just kind of too big for me. With what
I've seen from Michigan this year offensively, this isn't like
two years ago where Michigan blew the doors off. I
think this is one where Iowa can keep within the number.
I think it just hits the over, but a little
enough scoring from Iowa to stay within that number and

(31:34):
enough scoring for Michigan to barely hit the over. So
I like both bets in this case the over of
thirty four and a half, but also you take the
points and IOWA and those your bets for this championship week.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
I'm talking about nice.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
It's a little bit of positivity. Iowa, Sam, yay you negative?

Speaker 10 (31:52):
Nelly?

Speaker 4 (31:53):
Can I ask a question? No? This Big'm out of breath.
Let's no, No, let's go.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
Come on, we want to hear it. No, don't want
Why wouldn't you be able to ask you a question?

Speaker 4 (32:07):
Come on? I want to ask it now.

Speaker 6 (32:09):
You know it was on social media that that's what
we get paid to do, is just ask Can we
ask a question? Talk radio? So go ahead and ask
your question? But I like, I think we'd like to
be courteous of one another. So if it's not the
proper time to ask a question, question, ask.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
A question, that's your show.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Next question that'll be ten dollars. What do you mean?
For the record, For the record, I did not say no.
So I want you to ask a questions on something,
all right?

Speaker 6 (32:33):
So, and thinking about this Big ten championship game, Michigan
has played very well, super inspired football. Is there any
chance that there's more pressure on hardball to win this game?
And how would he be judged if he lost, like
you've come back, you know what I mean? And then

(32:55):
they were to lose, like if he were to lose
and he had been coaching, I don't think. I think
they look at it as I came up short. But
if he loses this one, it's like, huh, they went
undefeate it while he was gone. Maybe we're better off
without him. I mean, do you feel like that's in
his mind a little bit? No, Honestly, I think he's
more thinking about, you.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Know what, what it's gonna be like postgame, Like is
he gonna go up and take the trophy from Tony Patidia,
the guy who suspended him for three games, or is
it gonna be shrewing more or is he.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
Gonna be players or do they not go all together?

Speaker 5 (33:27):
I mean, there's some real questions about that. It's a
prickly relationship right now. I think between Jim Harbaugh Michigan
and then everybody else. I mean, it is Michigan versus everybody.

Speaker 6 (33:39):
Right, what if he did like the sharpshooter on him,
somebody else grabbed grabbed the trophy mostly the blow.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Dart, Yeah, that's even better. Yeah, And then it raised
all sorts of questions.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Who did it? Yeah, dang, that would turn into like
a movie or like a Netflix. It's already a movie. Bug,
it is already. It's got to be whatever you want
to call it, some sort of behind the scenes.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
By the way, Iowa's team total points for the first
half on DraftKings, is it two and a half?

Speaker 4 (34:11):
The over under?

Speaker 3 (34:12):
I mean, you can't get a field goal in the
first half, or two safeties, rather like, come on, can't
be Sam, You guys can't put together two safeties, So
I can feel good about this bet.

Speaker 8 (34:22):
In the first Yeah, no, they will call it right now.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
All right, so over two and a half, let's go.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
I mean, it's Brian Francis Swan song, you know, for
being serious about this.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
It is this Swan song and all this, so.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
It's conjured up the spirits here.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Yeah, I mean, look, I was scored ten points last week.
First Nebraska the first half.

Speaker 8 (34:45):
I mean, yeah, they were moving and then the.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Jonas laughs.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
But anyone who watches like Big ten football, Nebraska's actually
had a really good defense. They're one of the better
defenses too. As far as like their improvement they've.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Had this year.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
I think after people watched how or they looked for
US Colorado earlier this year, they kind of wrote them off.
That's that's been a much better defensive team than people
give them credit. So you know it's not easy to
score points against Nebraska.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
Well, listen, it's not easy to win all those games.
But I have a feeling Brady Quinn's going.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
To easy to give updates either man. That's not.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
But by the way, is LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas
Knox with you. So coming up next here from the
tire rack dot Com studios, we are going to spread
them our picks against the spread in the NFL right
here on FSR.

Speaker 10 (35:31):

of Joe? Fox Sports Radio. By the way, perfect music

Speaker 4 (36:02):
Said to me, so I did that was between that?

Speaker 3 (36:14):
It's two Pros and a Cup of Joel here Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Can I give an update?

Speaker 5 (36:17):
By the way, because we just found out some more
potential news for one of the conference championship games.

Speaker 4 (36:22):
Yeah, oh, breaking news. Uh oh, Tate Romaker maybe out
this week.

Speaker 5 (36:27):
There's some concern he could be in concussion protocol still,
so the backup quarterback for Florida State Tate Roddamaker, and
for Jordan Travis who got hurt earlier this season, and
maybe Brock Glenn who takes over at quarterback for the
ACC championship game. Now, there are a lot of people
high on him, and if you have watched since Tate
Rodemaker's taken over, uh, it really has been a heavy

(36:49):
dose of of you know, Benson running the football and
really just trying to take some shots to their playmakers.
So it is manageable for a young, inexperienced quarterback to
come in there and just execute.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
So wonderful line moves at all.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
It did down a point already, yes'day when I was
looking at US two and a half, I've seen now
one and a half points, So there is something to.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
Be said for that.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
Well, listen, now there's something to be said for coming
up here in about ten minutes from now, top of
next hour, we are going to have just you know
a change in the NFL. A first if you will
never been done before, and it's yours here again ten

Speaker 9 (37:51):

what edition spread? Good job Brady, closing the gap with
var only one game behind LeVar against the spread?

Speaker 8 (38:03):
What so would that?

Speaker 10 (38:06):
So?

Speaker 4 (38:06):
How did we do? I mean, what was our what
was our thing? Against the spread? LaVar?

Speaker 8 (38:10):
You went three and two, Jonas went two and three.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
Screw you Lee? All right, let's go lead, all right?

Speaker 2 (38:14):
The NFL Week thirteen Kick it Off Lions said Saints.

Speaker 8 (38:18):
Lions are four point favorites on the road at New Orleans.

Speaker 5 (38:20):
Lions with the points give me the points, give me
the points in the Saints.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
Nope, they won't cover New Orleans. Stinks good. They won't
cover New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
Well, next up, cold, said Titans.

Speaker 8 (38:31):
Colt's one point favorite at Titans.

Speaker 5 (38:34):
Oh, give me the give me the point the Titans
at home. Come on, they're undefeated this season.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
They pull out at home.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Yeah, I think I'm gonna take Tennessee here.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
No, yeah, I'm gonna take Tennessee.

Speaker 9 (38:45):
Browns and Rams Rams three and a half point favorites
at home.

Speaker 5 (38:49):
I think I know who that's started. Quarterbacks me in Cleveland.
I'll lay the points of the Rams. They're playing well
right now. Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Rams.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
I don't like that hook. Give me Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Forty nine ers said Eagles.

Speaker 8 (39:02):
Finally a good game here.

Speaker 9 (39:03):
Niners three point favorites at Philadelphia, San fran.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
Give me Philly. I'll take the points home. Underdog like that.
He's find ways to win. Money lining close, money line.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
Are you like Eagles on the money line?

Speaker 4 (39:15):
Bar? Yes, money line?

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Chief said Packers.

Speaker 9 (39:20):
Sunday Night Football, as always Chief, six point favorites at Lambeau.

Speaker 5 (39:24):
I'll give you the points the Packers. Baby Jordan loves
him playing well. I think they can run the football
little bit too. Keep this thing close. Lay in the points.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
I'll take Kansas City, Yeah yeah, Casey the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (39:34):
There.

Speaker 9 (39:35):
We thirteen picked against the spread and woo.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
I don't think we're gonna make that y. We we
do what time
