Speaker 1 (00:02):
It's the best of two pros and Ray Winn and
Jonas Knox on radio.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, if you liked penalties and you're a big fan
of the color yellow, last night was the game for you, because,
my god, was that A lot of penalty usage and
call on the field by those officials between the Cowboys toots.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
A lot of scoring too, come on, exciting game, man,
some defense. It was all two m vps on the
field last night.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
Would you would you've called last night a good game
or a weird game?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
I thought it was a good game.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
A little strange to me.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
I nod off. I know. I know by my sleep
meter if it's a good game or not at night,
a night game, it's it's you know, if it's not
a good game, I fall asleep, like being in church.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Really, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
I don't know that I've ever fallen asleep during a
football game. I swear to God. Really, yeah, I swear
because I usually got a bet going, and it's like,
why I can't sleep.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
I need to know whether or not A won twelve bucks.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I don't want to go to sleep. It's just so boring.
I fall asleep. Yeah, I watched this one all the
way through and was interested like it was interesting, like,
oh went down to the last play of the game
pretty much. So it was an entertaining game. Give them props.
It was a good one.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
It was also the first win for Dallas over a
team with a winning record.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
That's accomplishment. Way. They proved me wrong. I said they
would prove to us there there Dallas. Did you say yesterday?
Do we? I said they would sound to us there Dallas.
Oh yeah, go go to the sound. I don't. I
don't actually know what we have the song. Oh well,
I could give you the sound. I said they're Dallas
and they'll prove to us. These are the games that
(01:52):
they prove that they're Dallas, and they'll probably lose.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, but I would say this that you were had
to have been feeling pretty good for me, Jordi. It
seemed like Dallas could have run away with that early on,
and then next thing you know, you're at halftime, and
then you get out of halftime and Segway, Seattle's up eight,
like they got that score before that and.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
They missed the field goal. You know, there was there
was some interesting things going on early on in the game,
but the bottom line is and I do believe this
is the bottom line. Dallas is playing like a Super
Bowl competitor. Oh wow, they all said, I've said, I've said,
(02:35):
they are starting to look like a team that could
be competitive. Dack in his little cadence like, I don't
know how you do that all game? But okay, he
did it all game? What's the yeah? Yeah, every all game?
Speaker 1 (02:58):
What he did it all game?
Speaker 3 (03:02):
I know? Like, what do you mean? What's hard to do? Again?
Speaker 4 (03:05):
What's happening there? Brady different than everybody else's.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, well you say here we go all game.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
It just depends everyone has a different call for like
how they're trying to get everyone ready to like listen to.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Either Yeah, there's that does every play though.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
So the Omaha thing is really interesting and it's almost actually,
I'm not.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
No, this is going to like create drama if I
say this you.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
Read you ready? Twitter?
Speaker 6 (03:34):
No?
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Because so the originator of omahas who manny No, it's
Tom Brady. Tom Brady was the first person in the
New England system that would call omaha. So we had
used to have different code words to tell everyone what
the snapcount was on Omaha for whatever reason was no.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
It was a quick count, Omaha blue.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Go, and then we had orange orange Blue Go go,
So like that was like you're trying to draw them
off a little bit of getting the jump because they
hear you know, blue go and they're snapping. It's a
little pause between trigger you trying to get him a jump,
get a free play, getting off side, that sort of thing.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
So you had your Monday Monday, you know whatever.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
Else, like you always had different designations for what was one,
what was two Tuesdays was two Wednesdays.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Three or something like that.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
You had all these different calls, and then there was
even alpha alphas just go.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
You were at Alpha like that everyone's getting ready to
fire off because you won't even listen to anything else.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
And then you had different code words within that where
you know, rambo rambo, like there's just all types of
different language you could use oma ha's origin And I
think Peyton Manning's recently come out and admitted this that
in that system in New England, like Brady in the
and then the you know technically had probably be bled,
so they were the first to start using it that way,
(04:52):
or at least that word. I never knew that, yeah,
and then Peyton had used it and now it's a
production company and all that, But part of me that thinks, like,
is here we go that's just like their side. I'm
not sure. I haven't been with a number it's been
like that. There's somewhere like you know, teams don't have
you ever have you ever heard a snapcout where they
go they don't even call one in the huddle. If
(05:14):
it's even, it's it's on two. If it's odd, it's
on on one. Which that was a system that I
think when I was a Brian Schottenheimer, that's how they did.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
And I was like, wait what. I was like, that's
gonna mess with me because I was just going to
jump off side.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
Well yeah, and you're so used to giving guys a
snapcount that like you just don't correlate even with on
too and odd on one. So it took me a while,
like because you have to change up your process and
how you're like thinking it communicates everyone. And the other
thing is you could say that like I would a
lot of times if it was a hard count. I mean,
our boy, here we go, boys, here we go on
(05:49):
three on three, say the play whatever.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
It is, you're out slot.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
You know, fifty six double seem snow okay on three right,
and then you got you can get a lot of script.
You're like, what's it all? I was like, gosh, dang it,
Like you're already telling guys what's.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
On, what's on Wednesday?
Speaker 5 (06:05):
Wednesday, and like you know, you're just everyone's listening so
inconcerned about the play. They've got probably half diged up
from the play before that. They're just trying to figure
out whatever the responsibilities are in the play. No one
listens to the snapcout because they know the quarterback is
gonna remind me the line of scrimmage. So it's just
it's almost it's almost like all your boys are already
(06:27):
get in a fight.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Everyone's else concerned the fight there, Well, when do we go?
All right, wait, what did you say? Okay, we're almost ready.
Like it's it's hard to explain, but that's just a code.
What's already is there? We go? Now?
Speaker 4 (06:40):
How do you think?
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Uh? Here we go?
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Twitter will take that and the headline will be Peyton
Manning is a thief, and that'll be Twitter.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Twitter will say. Twitter will say Brady Quinn thinks that
he knows it all and actually had the nerve to
say you that Tom Brady said omaha before everybody else,
and then then somebody from the ESPN or somewhere else
will come out and be like Brady Quinn thinks he
knows that omaha came from Tom Brady. That's what's going on.
(07:15):
You know.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
It's a good point, a good point at all. That though,
is that like these guys are getting in car wrecks
moments before and they're trying to remember what the snap
count is, Like I would forget it.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
I mean, this isn't news.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
This actually came out in November ninth, in twenty twenty
three of this year.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Whatever I'm just saying.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Eli Manning admits that Peyton's famous omall call was stolen
from Tom Brady. There's actually an SI article that was
written that I could send to you.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Was that AI or was that a real writer? Oh?
Speaker 5 (07:46):
Shots fired? It doesn't have a guy off, I don't know.
It's Joseph.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Bear. Yeah, buddy, so it is. I mean, but the
game was a good game. Was a good game a game,
and Dak Prescott looks like an MVP, and Michael Parsons
definitely is an MVP if I mean, so we go
back to the fact that why did the music change
this morning? M Yeah, because Jonas didn't want it to you.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Talking about I gave my request to Lee yesterday. Vito
even asked when I saw him yesterday in the parking lot,
he even said, Hey, I need your soler request. I
was like, I sent it all over to Lee. I
sent everything over. Lee's done his job. We've all done
our job here, and everything's.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
The same song.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Line so the same song.
Speaker 7 (08:35):
Nope, absolute truth.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
We u around with Vito every single so the same.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I think what happened yesterday is the company holiday party
was yesterday afternoon slash evening, and so maybe some people
got a little bit toasty at the holiday party and
I might have affected.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
The you know, the ability to work and get through
some things.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Yes, we don't believe Hugh Jonas. We don't believe you.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Were you Jonas. I got a timestamp on an email.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
In fact, we saw you leave yesterday. Jonas. Wait, you
guys want to Christmas party?
Speaker 4 (09:11):
I didn't go.
Speaker 7 (09:12):
Everyone was asking where you guys were.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
Well, the reality of it is he was in Indianapolis.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
And I might as well. I didn't even know what
was happening and you know what. And I might as
well have been in Indianapolis with the way that traffic
is on the ten. So I just, you know, sorry, man,
I just can't. I can't do that. I have too
much going on to sitting out much traffic just to
go for what thirty forty minutes of.
Speaker 7 (09:37):
Hey, hey, hey, hey hey, you missed Sliders.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Just saying I know, I wanted a LeVar Island. I
wanted a slider. I wanted to be defend our title,
me and Julie against Donnan and whoever Don would choose,
if it's Mike or whoever on on shuffle board. But
it's just too much traffic. Man.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I want a gift card.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
There you go.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
I got to gets to Disneyland.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
There you go. Those would have been tickets I would
have got if I was there.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
I'm so sick of Lee winning every giveaway that's ever
done here at the network.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
I'm so tired of it. Every giveaway, he wins, every time,
every you.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Got a lot of Pets up a show?
Speaker 4 (10:15):
Because he wins every time.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
He needs knows that that's a smoke screen queue. He
just doesn't want anybody to know how much of an
influence over lead Lebowski that he has. That's that's all
that is. I saw that, Yeah, I saw that. That
was an easy one out of the park. I'm just
so mad at how Lee wins every giveaway. Sitting there,
(10:37):
he's secretly like in between, like, hey, Lee, man, what
are you going to do when you get there? Huh?
You should go check this out. You know, they have
really really good pretzels.
Speaker 7 (10:46):
Like I was picking up drink tickets off the ground
last night. Were you really offered it to Scott first?
Speaker 3 (11:01):
But yeah, you want this dirty ass? Uh drink tickets? Lee?
What was your cow? How many drinks did you have?
Speaker 8 (11:07):
I think I had three? They were given two to everybody.
I had more tickets than I used, I'll say them.
But I was collecting tickets.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
What were the drinks that I had?
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Yeah? My usual uh G and T.
Speaker 7 (11:23):
Followed by a beer.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Still, I'll never forget that. Hey, what's up? Could I
get a G and T?
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Like some sixteen year old irishman's like, uh huh? What's
a D and te? Can? I ask a questions?
Speaker 8 (11:40):
Why wouldn't Irish people know they make cork dried gin
that's very that's a made in Ireland, So why would
they over analyzed it was.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
It was all because it wasn't that type of a setup.
It was like in stadium, like downstairs, it was it
was hired catering help.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Like if you go to if you go to a
wedding and there's a single bartender and you go to
ask for some elaborate drink, they're going to be like, dude,
we got beer, wine and maybe a tequila.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Elaborate.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
No, it's like lemon.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
It's the way he said it.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
It's probably the way in all honesty, he was dressed
compared to everyone else, like everyone else was really dressed up.
Not that you weren't dressed up, It's just you looked
more like the Lebowski everywhere, like your sunglasses.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Down in the basement of the stadium.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Inside, we weren't exactly sure what.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
The which was shocking. But by the way.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
I think I saw it. I don't know if I
told you this, Brady, but I there was a gentleman
who was I saw.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
No. Well, yeah, he was huge and by the way,
he almost.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Fell off the stage at one point, I thought he
was going to take a tumble there. But there was
a guy who had on and I don't know, like
what appeared to be a priest caller like because there
was obviously, but I said to him, I said, well,
it's nice to meet you, father, and I shook his
hand and he said, oh, I'm not with the church.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
He had another title there, but that's.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Because kids call call it in PCE. What is it?
Non player m PC? You're using a n PC voice?
What do you mean non playable character voice? Well, you
can't say, just say what he said.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
It was like, oh, I'm sorry, but I'm not with
the church.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
You just say what he just say what he said? Better, right,
just say what he said.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
He just said, I'm I'm no, I can't.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Said the accent.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Okay, here's what he said. Take a list of the bars.
This is Suffice.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
All right, big garden.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
Are you happy now? Is that more.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Of the story is he was not a priest. I
just thought he was by his attire and he corrected
me on I was like, oh, I'm sorry. He goes,
it's okay, I'm all right, Well let's go get a drink.
And that was outside that wrapped up, but no no
drink tickets on the floor, which is like world class movely.
Speaker 7 (14:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (14:16):
The best part too, was like, you know, everybody's getting drinks,
but they kept on bringing them to me. I was like,
that's not I didn't order the drinks. They no, no,
I did not drink somebody else's drink. I had my own,
but they saw my drink was empty, so they can't
they brought it to me.
Speaker 7 (14:34):
I thought that was very thoughtful of them.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Well, listen, I'm sure it was a good time. It
would have been nice if us three were invited. I'm
just saying, if we get an invite to a holiday party,
that would have been nice. But unfortunately it's not the case,
not the scene.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
I guess I'd never get invited. But that's okay.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Yeah sucks.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Man. Hey, you know what, we'll just stay together, okay
the top. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
And by the way, Brady and I put on maybe
the greatest edition of phone tag that's ever been done
in mankind.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Yeah that was that was world class.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yep, it was.
Speaker 5 (15:13):
Well, you didn't tell me you're on radio, so then
it makes complete sense. He called me in between breaks, colleague. Literally,
I didn't notice the pattern until I was ago. Yeah,
that makes sense now he called me like every quarter hour.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
It's like I kept trying to call back and it
just wouldn't work.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
And it was probably like five or six tries on
each side, and uh is what it is. But we
do have some good news here for those of you
that listen to this show regularly. You know obviously you
know Eddie Garcia is here. Iowa, Sam lead to lap myself,
Brady and LeVar. We wanted to make an announcement here,
a good news.
Speaker 7 (15:50):
It's a football Friday.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Friday.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
We get right here.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
To do it. It's not high school anymore. I don't
think I'm not. But it's okay, It's okay, it's a
football it's Friday. It's football Friday. It's football Friday.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Is come on, cut the street tickets, get the strict tickets,
the string tickets.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Yeah, it still got Sam. We got to cut this
and do it the right way.
Speaker 9 (16:26):
Yeah, come on Friday says, come on, yea, it is
a football Friday here on Fox Sports Radio of our

Speaker 2 (18:09):
It is a Friday tradition here during the college football season.
By the way, how many more of these are we
going to have other than the conference championship game? I
guess we got some bowl games, got the conference championship games.
We got the bowl games later, but as far as
ranked team on ranked team crime in college football. But
we're running at opportunities to hear Quinn's wins. So with
(18:31):
that being said.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
You've got the Big Ten championship. Huh yeah, well we
can do where you're at.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
I'll be quick though, because there are a number of
top twenty five matchups.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
So let's get kicked off.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
Let's get started in the Pac twelve Championship, and look, this.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Is the last last one as we know.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Unfortunately both these teams do moving to the Big Ten
in twenty twenty four, but it doesn't take away from
the fact. But it's a win and you're in for
both Washington's twelve to zero and reke number three in
the college football rankings, and the number five Oregon Ducks
at eleven and one, who's only lost came to these
Washington Huskies on a cool, dreary day earlier this season
(19:14):
in Seattle. This time around, though, it feels like things
are going to be different than Ducks are favored by
ten points for this monumental matchup taking place at Allegiant
Stadium in Las Vegas, and maybe for good reason, bo
Nicks has been on an absolute hot streak. Many field
(19:35):
that if he wins this game, he will be also
not only playing for a shot at the national championship
in the playoff, but hoisting them the Highstman Trophy. But
Michael Pennix is not so fast, my friends. He has
been dynamic through the air this year, and their offense
has also added a little bit of balance to with
Jill and Johnson the past couple of weeks. But the
problem is people feel like their defense may not be
(19:57):
able to hold up this time around versus I still
think this one is tight. It's close, I take or
excuse me, I think it's Washington and the ten points
is the best bet in this one. All right, let's
go to the Big twelve championship game. Oklahoma State at
nine and three, RIC number eighteen in your polls is
(20:17):
taking on Texas at eleven and one, who's only lost
this season came in the Red River shootout versus Oklahoma.
And the concern here for Texas's they can't afford not
to win and not to win convincingly. Sitting at number
seven right now, behind the likes of some of the
other conference champs and even non potential conference champs in
(20:39):
the Ohio State University. The challenge for Texas and this one,
will be stopping Oli Gordon, maybe the best running back
in college football right now for Oklahoma State.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
He's been on an absolute tear this season. But what
about the job Mike Gundy has done.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
After this Oklahoma State team had struggled to kind of
find its rhythm, now has built itself into a big
twelve contender. This line currently sitting at fifteen the last
time I looked, it's a big number and too big
for me to think that Texas will be able to
cover it, especially without one of their top players, Jonathan Brooks,
at running back.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
Now, they do have a stable.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Of backs there at Texas, but to me, it hasn't
been quite as dynamic without the help of one Jonathan Brooks.
So again, take the points here, fifteen points and Oklahoma
State to keep it within that.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Number all right.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
Next up a matchup in the SEC number one undefeated,
two time champion of college football, the Georgia Bulldogs at
twelve to zero. Take on Alabama number eight eleven to
one this season, that only loss coming at home to
Texas earlier this year, and that's where there could be
a lot of intrigue, a lot of debate depending if
(21:49):
Bama can pull off the upset. They're a five and
a half point underdog in Atlanta for the SEC Championship game,
and the offensive looked a lot better this season.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Maybe you're not that way after we saw in the
Iron Bowl.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
Nonetheless, a fourth and thirty one fourth and goal miracle
at the end of the game by Jalen Milroade Isaiah
Bond was the difference and Alabama still keeping their hopes
alive and many feel with a win they will be
in to the College football Playoff.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
The question becomes will Georgia be out as a.
Speaker 5 (22:20):
Twelve to one non conference champ Either way, this is
a five and a half point spread, one that I
feel like it's just big enough to feel comfortable about
Alabama being able to keep this one close.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Both defenses are very evenly matched.
Speaker 5 (22:32):
Georgia with Carson Beck, who's kind flown under the radar,
should be considered for a heis mcinnay. He's played phenomenal
this year he's throwing to one of the best players
in the country and Brock Bauers, who is now back healthy.
But for this matchup, to me, it's all about Jalen Milrow,
not only his ability to throw downfield, but running the football.
I think we'll see a healthy dose of that. So
I think Bamba keeps this one within the number, and
(22:54):
don't be shocked if Baba doesn't flat out pull off
the upset two want to get through.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
We got the a CC Championship game twelve and zero.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
Florida State now playing against Louisville is ten and two
at number fourteen. This is all gonna be about tay
Roddemaker and whether or not he can make enough plays,
manage the game and throws to his playmakers Keon Coleman,
Johnny Wilson, or even just handing the ball off to
de Trey Bets on the outside to be able to
cover this number that was at one point two and
a half, it's now down in some books to one
(23:23):
and a half. So this is the tightest one that
This is ultimately the one that I think most people.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Are curious to see.
Speaker 5 (23:29):
If Louisville can pull off the upset, you're gonna be
looking at Florida State on the outside looking in. And
even if Florida State wins, there's some concern that would
they still get in.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
I personally do.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
I don't think the playoff compante' is gonna leave them
out either way. You lay the point and a half
here of Florida State, A heavy dose of Benson, a
heavy dose of big plays to Keon Coleman will be
enough for Florida State to cover this number. And finally,
the Big Ten Champions, Yeah, Michigan taking.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
On the Iowa Hawk guys.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
The number two Wolverines off their big win over the
Buckeyes just a week ago, and it was once again
a combination of physical dominance and enough playmaking by their
quarterback Jay J.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
McCarthy. And the storyline for this one is.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
They get back their head coach, Jim Horrball And that's
a huge line. In some books that got its high
as twenty three and a half and someone's now down
to twenty one and a half.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
So shop if you will.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
Iowa having a really tough time scoring this season, that
doesn't take away from the fact that they've got one
of the best defense in the country. They've got one
of the the best punter in the country, and they've got.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Some special teams that'll really wow you.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
This is one where the number at twenty one and
a half, it's just kind of too big for me.
With what I've seen from Michigan this year. Offensively, this
isn't like two years ago where Michigan blew the doors off.
I think this is one where Iowa can keep it
within the number. I think it just hits the over,
but a little enough scoring from Iowa to stay within
that number and enough scoring for Michigan to barely hit
(24:57):
the over. So I like both bets. In this case,
it's the over of thirty four and a half, but
also you take the points and Iowa and those your
bets for this championship week.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
I'm talking about it nice, a little bit of positivity Iowa, Sam,
yay you negative?
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Nelly? Can I can I ask a question now this picture? No,
I'm not a breath. Okay, let's go bar No, no,
let's go come on. We hear it.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
We want to hear it.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
No, I don't wan.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Why wouldn't you be able to ask you a question?
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Come on? I want to ask it now. You know
it was on social media that that's what we get
paid to do, is just ask Can we ask a
questions talk radio? So go ahead and ask your question,
But I like, I think we'd like to be courteous
of one another. So if it's not the proper time
to ask a question.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
Question, ask a question, it's your show.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
Next question that'll be ten dollars.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (25:49):
For the record. For the record, I did not say no.
So I want you to ask a question. What's up?
All right? So? And thinking about this big ten championship game,
Michigan has played very well, super inspired football. Is there
any chance that there's more pressure on hardball to win
this game? And how would he be judged if he
(26:11):
lost like you've come back, you know what I mean?
And then they were to lose, like if he were
to lose and he had been coaching, I don't think.
I think they look at it as I came up short.
But if he loses this one, it's like, huh, they
went undefeated while he was gone. Maybe we're better off
without him. I mean, do you feel like that's in
his mind a little bit? No?
Speaker 5 (26:33):
Honestly, I think he's more thinking about, you know what,
what it's going to be like postgame, like, is he
gonna go up and take the trophy from Tony Patidia,
the guy who suspended him for three games? Or is
it gonna be shron more or is gonna be players
or do they not go all together? I mean there's
some real questions about that. I think it's a prickly
(26:53):
relationship right now. I think between Jim Harbaugh Michigan and
then everybody else. I mean it is Michigan versus everybody. Right,
what if he.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
Did like the sharpshooter on him, grab grabbed the trophy, Yeah,
mosted the blow dart.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah, it's even better.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
Then it raised all sorts of questions.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Who did it? Yeah? Dang, that would turn into like
a movie or like a Netflix.
Speaker 5 (27:19):
It's already a movie, Bud, Who is already a movie.
It's gotta be a what if you want to call
it some sort of behind the scenes.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
By the way, Iowa's team total points for the first
half on DraftKings is it two and a half?
Speaker 4 (27:31):
The over er? I mean, you can't get a field
goal in the first half or two safeties, rather like,
come on, can't be Sam, You guys can't put together
two safeties, so I can feel good about this bet.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
In the first Yeah, no they will, I'm calling right now.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
All right, so over two and a half, let's go.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
I mean, it's Brian Francis swansong, you know, for being
serious about this. It is his swan song and all this.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
So conjured up the spirits here.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
Yeah, I mean, look, I was scored ten points last
week for Nebraska.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
The first half, I.
Speaker 8 (28:05):
Mean, yeah, yeah, they were moving and then they.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
Jonas laughs.
Speaker 5 (28:10):
But anyone who watches like Big ten football, Nebraska's actually
had a really good defense. They're one of the better
defenses too. As far as like their improvement they've had
this year, I think after people watched how poor they
looked versus Colorado earlier this year, they kind of wrote
them off. That's that's been a much better defensive team
than people give them credit. So you know, it's not
easy to score points against Nebraska.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Well, listen, it's not easy to win all those games.
But I have a feeling Brady Quinn's going.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
To easy to give updates either, man.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
That's not be sure to catch live editions of Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn LeVar
Arrington and Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three
am Pacific.
Speaker 11 (28:50):
Oh, Man, LeVar, I've tried to dig into a sex
mes LeVar sent and everything I found has only been
this story to be true.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
It's crazy.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Who wants to read the headline?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
I would gladly. I'll gladly read it.
Speaker 5 (29:07):
I've got I've even I've even actually looked at this
like Routers and then the reports on it, so I
can give you the exact amount. Uh Man, who donated
his mother's body to an Arizona center for Alzheimer's research,
discovers it was sold onto the US military for five thousand,
eight hundred and ninety three dollars. That's typically what they
(29:29):
buy them for. It was strapped to a chair and
blown up in a blast test. That is a true story.
I don't even know how to respond to that.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
That is so awful, cold blooded.
Speaker 5 (29:46):
I mean, obviously, like we should be blaming the Alzheimer's
Research institute.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
That's two hundred percent.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
But you'd think that the US military they knew we're
also not taking a body from those places.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
You would have to assume that they take bodies from
those places.
Speaker 4 (30:03):
I mean, you guys act like they didn't get six
grand out of the deal.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
So is that how much doesn't it cost more to
bury some loved one? Like, does it cost board of
six gees a funeral? Yes?
Speaker 4 (30:15):
It does, Yes, it does.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
You're right, So what you're saying is the military values
of person at fifty eight hundred dollars.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Hey, let me tell you something.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
If a funerals were early six grand.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
I'm taking you right now.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
I'll do the funeral Christmas would be a lot, but
a lot better for the Knoxes.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
I'll tell you that.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Let's see, pay six thousand, pay ten thousand dollars eleven
thousand four funeral, or get paid fifty eight hundred for
your your loved one's body. Like, let's see. Let me
think this one through. I ain't like your ass anyway,
give me the money.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
There's just some stuff that is so jarring that you
just have to laugh.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
I'm sorry, unless that's your mama.
Speaker 4 (31:05):
Well, mama, no.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Don't blow up, mama. Here's the problem is this is
a rather old story, no man.
Speaker 5 (31:15):
So as we see nowadays in social media and different
things like these teams tend to resurface.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
This is actually a four year old story.
Speaker 5 (31:22):
The company is no longer in business anymore, but they
they sold these bodies for five.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Ninety three dollars each.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
And v r C, which is the name of the
defunct or out of business companies, is no longer UH
in business. And actually it's against US Army policy to
UH to do this. You have to get permission from
the donors or relatives in order to be able to
do this sort of thing.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Stress wow chair and blown up like.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
It's leftover fireworks. It's July eighth, and they're like wet
rid of these things and put a wig on them
in some fake jewelry.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Just understand the blast test the Army experiments measuring the
damage caused by roadside bombs. That was what the actual
intent was in the use of this blast test.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
Well, hey, wow, not so wild. I mean, it's messed up.
It's one way to play. It was twenty nineteen, but
when I saw it, I had to send it as
I had.
Speaker 4 (32:27):
Now, what would if we're just using inflation.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
You know rock carry, how much would it cost today?
Speaker 2 (32:34):
I mean six grand and twenty nineteen would be what nowadays?
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Well what seventy five maybe one hundred? What depends on
your rate of return. But yeah, I must go seventy
five hundred maybe like because gas gas went up like
what two three dollars. Yeah. I mean so if you
if you don't anyway whatever, I'd probably say you probably
get like maybe about six seven hundred dollars more.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
I mean, look, you know I've I mean I've spent
money in.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
Worse ways, I'll tell you that, and uh and made
money in worse ways.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
So listen, I.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Just didn't know you could make money off of your
your you know, off of people that you have ownership.
Speaker 4 (33:16):
Listen.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
It's either that or working a tree lot, Okay, and
they don't tip the best, so at least there's some.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Options out of the tree lot. I'm just saying, if
you want to make six.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Grand, I mean, this is a quick way to do it,
or you can work in a Christmas tree lot and
try and figure that out.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
That way you'll make six grand selling hauling christmas tree.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
No, that's what I'm saying. This isn't that bad of
a deal you think about it.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Dang, you're trying to say this isn't that bad of it.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
I just don't know if it's If this is a
true story, it's.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
One hundred percent true story. I literally fact checked it
on like three other things. It's one hundred percent true story.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
It's just so insane that it makes sense.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Strapped to a chair.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
And by the way, Lafar, how would this even come
up in your sirch timeline? Why?
Speaker 5 (33:56):
I don't know what that's the issue is, like it
gets repopulated like that on a timeline.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
Like like what do you what are you like searching?
What's your algorithm?
Speaker 3 (34:06):
I'm not searching anything.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
Testing of eighty year olds.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Like ninety percent of the stuff on my timeline is
is Penn State stuff, Pittsburgh sports stuff.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Did you did you just or what?
Speaker 3 (34:21):
What number did you say that that would be worth
in today's dollars? Essentially? What's that? What numbers did you
throw out?
Speaker 4 (34:27):
Sixty seven?
Speaker 3 (34:28):
No? He said more than that, didn't you? I said no?
I said like sixty uh five grand? Yeah? I said,
like sixty five sixty seven, all right, it'd be.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
Closer to like seventy one hundred, okay, two dollars.
Speaker 6 (34:42):
Two high, but don a forty two and adety three,
one hundred and thirty four an hour, forty four a
three and a half and a half away, don a
forty three and a forty four, and about here one
twenty five and Happy do one twenty hundred and twenty.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Coming to the Des Moines Fair. Who wants wants to
to Wan's to bid on on somebody who's mom's strapped
in a chair? Minute thirty.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Sold to the man in the back.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
It's just so crazy.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
That's so stupid, Like that spin in the bucket is
so stupid.
Speaker 4 (35:28):
Levar's watching Cocoon and next thing you know, this pops
up on his timeline.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
That's stupid.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
This spittoons the greatest drop of the system. My new favorite.
It was Plexico Bar's doing the ooh but this patoon?
Oh oh alright, Ah, that's just absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
But the good news is because that's not good news,
thoughts and prayers out to uh that.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
Feel bad for the family. I mean, what does rest
in peace mean? Do you rest in peace? Rest in
your body? Blow up? What? No? Sorry, no, it just
came so quick. I had to.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Say to get down.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Imagine it's a beast. How does that so take it
back down? How does the sun feel after he finds that? Like,
if that were you, you thought you were doing something great?
For you.
Speaker 2 (36:28):
You know, he's real torn up about it. Do you
think do you think any of his a whole friends
like on Mother's Day.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Give jokes about like fireworks, give him.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
Like a piccolo pete and be like hey man, thoughts
and prayers, you know, thinking and thinking about everything today?
Speaker 3 (36:47):
I mean, why you donate your mom anyway? Though? Like,
don't yourself Timer's research.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
I think you're you're hoping that they can find a
cure or maybe you know a few more you know,
a few.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
More bodies may be help to link you to it.
I don't, I don't know. I mean that's the hope, right, yeah,
all the time for different research. Yeah, I'm with you there.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
But how many players levard donate you know, their their
brainer you know.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
For that's true. I'm a donor on my on my license,
I'm a donor.
Speaker 9 (37:16):
You know.
Speaker 5 (37:16):
They tell you you're not supposed to do that because
they try to claim that they wouldn't exhaust all efforts
to save you.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
And in the event of like if you you know
we're doing that's cool. I'm cool. I'm cool. If you
let me go. I've lived enough life, I'm all. I'm
all good.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
By the way, can I call out pressing. I would
like to, I would like to call out.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
Who's going to want his brain come? You want to
figure out? Hey, hey, why we bull Hey? Turn that off?
Don't be bulls drop like that. You know, I got history.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Don't don't be he By the way, you can't.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Be doing that. We can't go too far with that
with me. And by the way, we could do it
with job, but not with me.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
Can we also?
Speaker 3 (38:07):
Just I didn't catch that? Yeah, mystery lesson light. Let's
not go too deep in on that. Yeah you can't yeah, yeah, yeah, don't.
We can't joke around like that. Go ahead.
Speaker 4 (38:17):
How do we miss this in headliner?
Speaker 3 (38:19):
Lie?
Speaker 2 (38:19):
By the way, that's the most That's what I'm more
heartbroken about and more disappointed about, Like, how is this
a miss in headliner?
Speaker 3 (38:24):
Lie?
Speaker 4 (38:25):
That we didn't catch this beauty.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
That headliner line? Forever? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (38:28):
I know, but back then, this is right in our
wheelhouse nineteen damn what a whiff?
Speaker 3 (38:35):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 5 (38:36):
The fact that we couldn't well, that's a real story though,
the fact that we couldn't create that story and think
of that, maybe.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
It's a good thing. Man, I could create something for you. Yeah, no,
I have to. You don't want that far from idea.
You don't, you don't want that one.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
Well, here's what we do want though. What you want
to let everybody know it's a football Friday.
Speaker 7 (38:58):
Yeah, yeah, blow that off.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Go let's go. Yes, literally, mama, no, literally, literally, don't
do it. Don't do it. Don't let them have me.
Don't let them have me. Keep my body, keep my very,
give my body. Look you study, come on, come on
(39:26):
the body, bury me, take you very me? Ye, come on,
how are you going to visit? How you going to visit?
How you going to visit me?
Speaker 11 (39:35):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Go to the regular one man, Come on, come on,
come on, let's get off a dead get a long man.
Come come on, Sam, let's go, let's get come on Sam. Yeah,
cried nine and this is cry I call them. No,
(39:58):
that's going to h that's going on? Hot? Oh no, hey,
I want to come over on over here and get
my mama.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
I want to come home and take my mama. Oh
my god.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Like I literally want to start dipping just to get
a spittoon.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
That's all I want. I want to spatoon for Christmas?
Speaker 3 (40:19):
Have you guys tried those zins? Have you heard of this.
Speaker 5 (40:22):
Yeah, that's like the new craze right now. What is
all nicotine but no tobacco?
Speaker 3 (40:27):
Like everyone does those? Now, where is it?
Speaker 5 (40:29):
It's it's like a pouch like you normally use the tobacco,
but there's there's no tobacco. It's just all nicotine man,
straight buzz huh.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
I guess I don't know. I haven't tried it. I
got a lot of buddies, you just I used to
do a dip. I used to do a snuff once
a training camp just because, like I'd be sitting in
the meeting and that would be my one night to snuff.
So I take it off of like one of the
linebackers who snuffed, and and I do a big one,
like a super super super big one one, and I
(41:00):
would be out of there. Like they'd be like, LaVar,
what you do here? We're in cover two, they're in
they're in Queens Set da dada, be like coach, And
that was it. That was it. There was nothing more
like LaVar, Like wait, coach, and he seen my cup.
(41:25):
He clearly saw my cup with with with the paper
towel in it. He saw it. You know, they they
get me, you know, drop to the hook coach, Like
two minutes later, it is a run. It's run. Oh man,
I'm gonna force it back coach. Yeah, inside, yeah, I'm
gonna spill. You're good, var Are you good? Yeah? Yeah yeah.
(41:49):
Them joints get you, man, Them joints will get you schnuffing.
What was it called Winter Greenesh?
Speaker 2 (41:58):
What do you guys make of the first ever Monday
night football flex that the NFL is exercising coming up?
Speaker 3 (42:05):
I love I love it. What game got flex? Which
one is?
Speaker 4 (42:09):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (42:10):
So Eagles at Seahawks will be the game it was
set for Sunday on December seventeenth, that's now going to
move to Monday night, and the Chiefs at the Patriots
will move from Monday to that Sunday one.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
I think that that makes all the sense. Get that
Chiefs game out of the way, let the Chiefs get
some rest, and let's see a competitive game.
Speaker 5 (42:31):
So I think the flexing concept is really interesting. I mean,
do do we know exactly how it works? I mean,
is this a simply as saying that, like when Monday
night football gets the flex when Sunday night because if
your Sunday night, wouldn't you want to protect that one.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
Or are you okay like saying, hey, we'll give it up.
We like the Chiefs.
Speaker 5 (42:49):
We know the game might not be quite competitive, but
it could be the last year for Bill Belichick in
New England. And obviously it's the Chiefs, so we know,
you know, Taylor Swift might be fair.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
I mean, it might be beligchie last primetime game with
the Patriots. I'm surprised that.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
Here take this Bill. Well, either way, they were going
to be in prime time, right, Yeah, Well, is that
what you're saying.
Speaker 5 (43:14):
Sunday night was going to be that game? Well, Nonday, well.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
The Patriots, and uh so the Patriots game is going
to one Eastern time.
Speaker 5 (43:22):
Okay, that's all I was asking. Okay, so what's the
Sunday night game that week?
Speaker 2 (43:28):
Let me research that, Let move get it. I'm still
jarred by the fact that on my notes I had
Begals written in instead of Patriots.
Speaker 4 (43:34):
I don't know what the hell's wrong with me. It's
a little disturbed.
Speaker 5 (43:36):
Well, I'm also confused. I think you brought up at
one point Sunday Football.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
Uh No, that game was just moved from from Sunday.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
Over to Monday and they swapped it out. It was
both one Eastern time games.
Speaker 5 (43:49):
Gotch you, I have no idea where I thought you
said Sunday football one point?
Speaker 2 (43:53):
Yeah, Well, I think we're all still rattled from that
story and the mama.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
They blew mama up.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
So the Sunday night game is Ravens Jaguars that week.
Speaker 4 (44:07):
Which is a good that's a good one. That's a
great that could be for the number one seed.
Speaker 3 (44:12):
Yeah yeah, so that's h.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
That's that game, and then Eagle Seahawks are going to
Monday night.
Speaker 4 (44:19):
I'm I'll be on.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
I'm surprised that they elected to flex this out how
that's determined to your point, I have no idea, but
I'm surprised that they wouldn't see that as an opportunity
to have, you know, Andy Reid Belichick, possibly for the
last time.
Speaker 5 (44:33):
So think about for the players now, granted they get
a little more rest on the front end, right, you're
not playing a one o'clock Sunday game, But what's the
Eagles game after that?
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Or what's this? What's the Seahawks game the week after? Uh?
Speaker 2 (44:46):
Seattle has got following week fifteen, they have the Titans.
Speaker 5 (44:52):
They're at the Titans, Okay, which is a tough matchup.
Tennessee plays well at home. They're obviously coming from the
Pacific Northwest. That's tough. And then who does hear what
the Eagles have?
Speaker 2 (45:01):
And then the Eagles would have give me one second
efforting here, I just got to get past this story
of somebody's mom getting blown up in a chair.
Speaker 4 (45:10):
Let me just get get this real quick.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
The internet's that bad at the studio still.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Yes, yes, it is very bad. The Eagles next game
following that is against the Giants at home.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
Okay, well, maybe they don't mind that much then.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
But what's interesting is that the Seahawks then are playing
on a short week because they'll play that Monday, and
then they come back Christmas Eve, and then the Eagles
have the Christmas Day game on Fox against the Giants.
Speaker 4 (45:35):
So Seattle's kind of getting screwed.
Speaker 5 (45:37):
Right, That's the only thing when I was kind of
I thought was interesting because they brought this up early
in the year about the flex scheduling in particular for
Monday Night and how that would work. And I think
there's a discussion about just like the flex scheduling for it,
like any.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Prime time so I find it.
Speaker 5 (45:54):
I find it really interesting though, that like that could
impact their playoff hopes in a big way, especially considering
injuries things of that nature this lad in the season.
I just I'm telling you, man, I wish the NFL
could figure this out better scheduling primetime.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
Slots throughout the course of the week.
Speaker 5 (46:14):
You know, especially once college football's done, you have those
even additional time slots on Saturday, like spread out the
games so these guys get rest and recovery if you're
gonna allow TV networks to flex them in and out
of stuff, and then you put them in a tough
spot with it on a short week the following week,
and I understand they get like an extra day on
the front end of that. It still could be solved
(46:34):
where you provide more days of rest throughout the season
by spreading these games out more, having Tuesday and Wednesday
primetime games. Like I'm sorry, I just I think we
saw it in COVID and to me, I'm like, this
is awesome. This makes me feel like every other professional sport,
but now it's football and it's in primetime and like
I'm gonna watch now. The tough thing is maybe that
(46:54):
ends up hurting you're actually in stadium fan attendance, but
ultimately the TV networks.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
To drive this.
Speaker 5 (47:00):
Yeah, Like, I just I wish they'd be more creative
in their pursuit of not only player safety, but trying
to create other standalone games so the entire country can
watch their product.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
And also Friday night, like high school football was always
the reasoning behind Well, you don't want to like get
in the way of high.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
School I still I still don't want to. I just
still don't want to put an NFL game.
Speaker 4 (47:18):
But when does When does the high school football season end?
Speaker 3 (47:21):
I think either last week or this week.
Speaker 4 (47:23):
Yeah, so you wouldn't be up for some Friday night
NFL out.
Speaker 3 (47:27):
It's kind of sacred, man, At least I feel like
it is.
Speaker 4 (47:30):
Even after high school football is done.
Speaker 5 (47:32):
Even after it's done. Man, I just don't mess with Fridays,
Like give us, give it. Giveveryone out there Friday night
to go out and get hammered, you know.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
Because here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (47:39):
The big legal about Lebowski is not going to want
to go out every single night at risk not hitting
one of the games. Like he wants to be able
to go out, blackout on a Friday night, wake up Saturday,
and watch.
Speaker 7 (47:48):
Football that's very true.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
Yes, there you go, give him one night, him and
Todd can go out and tie one on. Yeah, the
dude of my ag
