Good lots going on.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Better than the Warriors, that's for sure.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
Yeah, that is that.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
So the windows closed on that we think are gonna
go ahead and call it at this point close the coffin.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
The one to the playoffs. Jonas so Well.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I'm saying in the future, long term.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
I mean they're not going to move on from Steph.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Right, No, he's going to be around. I think Draymond's
got three years left. But the big question is Klay Thompson.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
And that's the big one. Yeah, and he.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Did not have a great game last night.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Big yeah, good question for ten jeez. Yeah, he was
a rough night. Yeah, and you wonder why he won't.
You guys gotten off to a pretty rocky start here.
I'm just going to sit back and listen to you.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Hey, Coop, you got the popcorn. Let's let's listen to Brady.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
It's disrespect. It's flat out disrespect on somebody who's been
loyal to this show and to this network.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
For last time he showed up, he gave out a loser,
and he shows up once every six months.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, but did she even it for showing up even
after giving out a loser.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
No, No, because he hasn't showed up since.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Oh it's been less than a week. Who knows.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Maybe if there's some badminton tournament in Dubai, he'll show
up if it's going on in the middle of the show.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
That's the way this stuff works.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Oh, nonetheless, the playing tournament is off and running. I
know they don't count it as technically as the playoffs
because this is just to get into the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
But that was funny.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
At least Zion showed up until he showed a couple
of minutes left.

Speaker 7 (03:27):
Well he got hurt, Yeah, I heard it. I think
I think he spraanked his ankle. He twisted his ankle,
and I don't think they went back far enough into
the play. They kept saying, I don't know where it happened,
and I don't know when it happened. It happened when
he started his drive. The first time he started his drive,
you could see that he rolled his ankle. He finished

(03:48):
the play, but he rolled his ankle at the top
of the play.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Do you want to know how I thought you wan't
to know how mean people are?

Speaker 5 (03:56):
So.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Nick Wright of FS one post a tweet that says, anybody.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Know what happened? Is ion? Like where he went?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Just sort of gone with two minutes left, And there
were a couple of comments below that said, well, it
was his hamstring. You know his hamstring Again, he knew
it was his hamstring, could have been his hag whatever
it was. And then there were some people said uber
eats pulled up outside.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Oh wow, undefeated, Like undefeated.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
The guy just dropped forty points against the Lakers and
he's getting fat jokes.

Speaker 7 (04:29):
I mean he looked dominant too. It's great, Yeah, he
was dominant.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
He's had a great year, and and so now they've
got to h They've got to play the Sacramento Kings
to try and get into the actual playoffs to take
on the one seed, which are the Oklahoma City Thunder.
So the Lakers end up with Denver as the two seed.
They lost all three meetings to him this year. They
lost all four meetings to him in the playoffs last year.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
They'll lose most all of him again.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
And so it does appear that this could be the
the end of the road for the Lakers after this,
after this win over New Orleans.

Speaker 6 (05:04):
Last I'm not counting them out, just saying why because
Lebron ad like they've been there, They've done this. We
make such a big deal about the regular season. I
just I don't think it has much of.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
A bearing on it. I don't.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
I think the Golden State conversation is a little more
interesting to me, only because no matter what like metric
you're looking at, Like forget the fact that like you're like, oh,
Clay played bad, is going to be back? Maybe maybe not.
They spent more cash. Their luxury tax was the highest
in the NBA. I mean, they had the most expensive

(05:42):
team this season. By by those metrics, how you'd measure
them in anyone? And they A couldn't even get into
the playoffs and B only got into the I.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Guess the play in if you called that, because you
can call playoffs. I'm not calling out the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
That's like it's like the Round of you know, was
it sixty eight where you've got to play in to
get into actually March Madness tournament, Like if you have
to if you have to play rock pay per Decisions
with the doorman to get in the club, then you're
not in the club yet you have to actually beat
the doorman to get in. So they didn't even get
into the playoffs and now they're out, and who knows

(06:18):
how they're gonna have to rebuild.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Restructure this thing. But I don't know. It's just an
expensive year for Golden State ending up not with a
whole lot.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
And on top of it, the last time Golden State
wasn't a part of some of the ratings that it
really struggled for the NBA. I mean, in their ratings
have struggled anyway, but typically when they're not a part
of it, they struggle even more.

Speaker 7 (06:41):
M It's been all I think it's been a hell
of a run for the Lakers. I mean, I don't
count them out. I just know a healthy Warriors team
they're not.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
They're not.

Speaker 7 (06:52):
Or Nuggets healthy Nuggets team, they're not. They're not going
to beat them. As far as Golden State, I feel
like the handwriting has been on the wall for Golden
State for quite some time now. So it's one of
those things where geez, you're loud, super loud, lead like
all up in there. I can't really get it out. Yeah,

(07:14):
could you hear them c Yeah you can hear him? Right, Yeah,
it was you're.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Super loud, trying to hit the talk back.

Speaker 7 (07:19):
Yeah, but you were super crazy loud, like go over
the microphone loud, you know, just a radio voice. I mean,
why you wait till I start talking to start talking
that loud? You don't do that to Brady, got Lee.
Brady gave us a great point. You waited till he stopped.
I started you, Hey, so lead back then chew up

(07:40):
that sound from.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
Yeah yeah second ten like we good.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
Gotta make my point, all right, go ahead, thank you.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
I was talking about Golden State. I think it's it's
a lot like.

Speaker 7 (08:00):
Sacrament I think Sacramento is is a fine Yeah, Sacramento
is a fine team. And I think that uh Zion
and those guys, if Zion returns back from the Uber
Eats pick up, they're going to have their hands full

(08:21):
of trying to beat Sacramento to get into the playoffs
because they do not have any offense outside of Zion.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Now.

Speaker 7 (08:28):
I know that there were a few guys that didn't
show up. McCallum didn't didn't have a great, great evening,
but they just didn't look like they were a team
that could win without Zion doing pretty much everything for
them to be able to win.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Sacktown got to light the beam too.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Last night.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
They was getting it in now as I mentioned, and
I don't know if that got through on the air,
but we do have Steve Kerr talking about the future
State Warriors and also talking about what their hopes are
with Klay Thompson, who is a free agent after the season.

Speaker 8 (09:03):
We've been really blessed here with amazing players and you know,
multiple championships and finals appearances and the highest of highs.
And this is the flip side, this is life. This
is how it works. You don't you know, you don't
get to stay on top forever. So what happens this
summer and going into next year, we'll worry about that later.
He's still got good, good years left and and I

(09:27):
know I speak for everybody in the organization. We want
him back. Obviously, there's business at hand and that has
to be addressed with Clay's representatives and you know, Mike
and Joe, and but what Clay has meant to this franchise,
as good as he still is, we desperately want him back.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
So that was Steve Kerr.

Speaker 7 (09:46):
He became a bench like a six man almost right,
like he wasn't even a starter anymore for this team.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
He had a down year, Yeah, and he hasn't been
the same since he suffered the injuries, and that's just
bad luck because he was trying to recover from I
think it was the achilles or could have been the
a c L and then he tore the achilles practicing
trying to come back for it, and he just hasn't
been the same player.

Speaker 7 (10:09):
But I can sympathize. Jeez, when something goes, other things
start to go.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yeah, especially coming off You're probably thinking to himself, I'm
getting close, I'm feeling good, I'm working out again, and.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
The next thing's a good time for the blue shoe?

Speaker 5 (10:22):
Yeah? Is this time for the blue shoe?

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (10:25):
Because sometimes it gives you more confidence and and it
can make you it can keep you, you know, hart
and fresh, you know, for longer, or even just to begin.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
With, are you guys less interested in watching the playoffs
with the Warriors out?

Speaker 7 (10:41):
No, I'm less interested. Periods have to make it work.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
On this one.

Speaker 6 (10:54):
I'm just it's it's not as enticing for me this
year watching the teams. I actually am more curious to
see a Oklahoma State as a one seed in the
West can be.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
They're a young team.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
I don't know how many people expect them to be
there at this point at the beginning of the season.
My curiosity and watching the NBA is now about like
the next group. But to cap off the conversation about
Golden State, what's interesting is who is the guy who
left to go.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Help out the Washington commanders? Is that Bob Myers?

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Is that who it is?

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (11:31):
You wonder if you.

Speaker 6 (11:32):
Kind of saw the running on the wall to some degree,
But I think when you look through, you know the
series of years.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
From what is it twenty was it twenty fourteen. The
first one they won twenty fifteen. I think it was
twenty fourteen twenty fifteen season.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Right, I don't recall. I know the Cavs beat them
in twenty sixteen, so I saw.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
Well, obviously the seasons go over the year, right, So
I think it's twenty fourteen twenty fifteen league if you
can fact that. But if you look at that run
starting at that point in time, they were I mean,
I don't know that you you know, I don't know
that you look at them and not think that this

(12:14):
was somewhat of a dynasty. They changed the way teams
played basketball, and outside of the COVID year where they
struggled a little bit, they kind of got right.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Back to that.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
What's that You're correct? Oh, okay, twenty fourteen twenty fifteen, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:27):
Again, because I mean, you know, NBA season's kind of
straddle that if you will.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
But they were a dynasty, and.

Speaker 6 (12:35):
I think if Clay doesn't come back when he was
a big piece of that, but that would be the
start of kind of whatever this next iteration is with
Steph Curry. I would assume Draymond's there given us contract length,
but it's it's kind of disappointed to see how I
kind of fell apart. I don't know who you point to,
but you know, Bob Myers, who was an Executive of
the Year, I think for that, you know, one of

(12:55):
the runs, or maybe a couple of their runs, maybe
he knew it was time to jump ship, you know,
following the COVID year, following how they've kind of been since.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Maybe you saw the running on the wall a little bit.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
And I think the fourth one kind of clinched the
you know, they would be the dynasty. And Kevin Durant
had those years there for the last, for the second
and third and uh right now.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
So you know the mics work.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Yeah, I think he's just making sure we're ready.

Speaker 7 (13:25):
Yeah, thank you, all right, Okay, there we go. So
you you didn't have to stop talking broadcast. You should
have just kept going, you know.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
I just wanted to make sure.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
But the fourth one, the fourth one they got with that,
the fourth one they got without Durant, I think was
sort of the icing on top of what is a dynasty.
And it does feel like with the way Denver's progressed,
Oklahoma City has gotten a lot better. Obviously with the
one seed in the conference. I just think I wonder

(13:57):
what their strategy is as far as do we just
want to keep bringing all of these guys back? Is
that our best option? And you just hope you land
on young talent or in the draft because if you're
that fan base like you probably don't want to see
these guys go away. But it just feels like everybody's
starting to get a little bit older. And I'll say
this again, Harrison Barnes. He seems like he's been in

(14:18):
the NBA for thirty years and I still don't get
how he's thirty one years old, Like he's thick. Guy's
thirty one and he was on the first Warriors team
that won the title back in twenty fifth's around forever,
Like I don't get it, and I keep looking good at.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
This aged he looks exact same.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
So he's on his way to to a game against
New Orleans because they won last night Sacramento did.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
Eliminating the Golden State Warriors in a game that wasn't
even close.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
So bad times for the Warriors, but they've had a
lot of good times and we're gonna have a good
time here on this show as we take you all

got an update on a player in the NFL that's
not very happy and where he could potentially end up
very very soon because of it. That'll be yours here again,
coming up a little over twenty minutes from now. By

(16:24):
the way, uh.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
Uh man, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
Justly.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Yeah, that's so funny.

Speaker 7 (16:35):
It's fun to be clear just that I cover it
up with some I don't know man.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
LaVar Arrington's dog. Yeah, it looks like sticks. It looks
like a pickup truck.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Now he's getting there and you've had him for like
three weeks, like.

Speaker 7 (16:48):
Four months, five months? Yeah, he's like six months now
he is. He is a horse.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
What do you feed him? Tomahawks? People?

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yeah, you gotta say like you gotta post a picture
of it and send it.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Can I see a picture? I was always busy talking
to over there.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
I'm sure. I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
You just want to got everything dialed in. So you
guys got everything dialed in over there, got the sound
everything together.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Can I just tell you guys real fast.

Speaker 10 (17:15):
I used to stalk your show before I was actually
on it when I was told I was moving over
And one of the first episodes I listened to, Lvar
was talking about his new dog. So I think it
was back in like November or something.

Speaker 5 (17:28):
It would have been December.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Yeah, early December.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
Because it was Christmas time.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yep. Took my daughter up to Sacramento.

Speaker 10 (17:35):
I was listening on the way back.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
It's not a dog anymore. It's a little horse. The
thing is huge.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
And bro, I'm not gonna lie. Okay, I'm not.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Gonna say that.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
That's a big dog.

Speaker 5 (17:52):
He's a big dog.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
But at first I thought his tail was Yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
That's not he's still a baby.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
It's still dropping her.

Speaker 7 (18:04):
Yeah, he's still a baby. Yeah, which is crazy because
he's ginormous. Yeah, it's a big dog. That was like
work for me to pick him up like that. You know,
he's really big.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Don't lie. That wasn't work. We see in the weight room,
we see it. We see the video.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
Yeah, he's pretty heavy though. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (18:22):
Anyways, that's mister Styx. Yeah, I expect him to be
perfect because he's mister sticks.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
And the expected weight is what two twenty no.

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Like one ninety, but I think he was you know.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
That's almost as big as Jonas point. Yeah. Yeah, he
had one that was like was it two?

Speaker 1 (18:41):
I don't know why you embellish it to seventy five?
And you know that to seventy five at his peak
in perfect condition, and he was a bull masted.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
From the time Jonas I started working together. His bull
masters went from one hundred and twenty five pounds maybe
one thirty to now two hundred and seventy five pounds.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Yeah, but you know, got closer to four hundred as
he got older. So again, you know this is I'm
just telling stories here that are all factual on the air,
Like I don't mislead anybody, and I don't want to
give out misinformation. So bull mastive and he approached four
hundred and seventy five pounds.

Speaker 7 (19:21):
An adult bull mastiff can get up to one hundred
and thirty pounds.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
How much was yours? You said what you just heard me?
Five twenty five? No, seriously, you said one forty five.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
He tried to claim was like eighty.

Speaker 7 (19:38):
Okay, I think they sold you an English mastiff and
told you it was a bull mask.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Hey, whatever they sold me. He's dead now, so thanks
for bringing it up.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
Gosh, all right, Oh my god, I got a couple
of shire you go there. That'd be ten dollars because
that was so passive aggressive.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
You guys should bring it up my dead dog for
no reason.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
What's that about? What's that about?

Speaker 2 (20:03):
I get sure you it isn't e now.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
No, you ain't won eighty right now, you's not.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
No, he's not pick him upikes. Well, listen, if you
want to get your dog in better shape, and if
you want to get better shape, I know, I mean
you gotta get silky.

Speaker 7 (20:18):
You put some silk in his bowl, all right, and listen.
If you don't want to put it in his bowl,
put it in your bowl. You know why, because it
can improve your health and your routines. You know, you
can start right with silk. Silkm and milk has fifty
percent more calcium than dairy milk. That's right. It's a
good source of vitamins A, D, N E. And we

(20:38):
all know that E stands for good. Yeah, that's right.
Learn more about silk products at silk dot com.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Speaking of somebody who's not good, the Dallas Cowboys in
their last game wiped out by the.

Speaker 5 (20:52):
Packers in a playoff wipe wiped up.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
There's been a lot of a lot of stuff going
on this offseason, with Dak Prescott not getting a contract extension,
Cede Lamb looking for an extension, Micah Parsons maybe is
pissing people.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
Off in the facility. Maybe he's not.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
He's not there for voluntary workouts to start off the offseason.
All that being said, Stephen Jones spoke with the Fan
in Dallas about the team's inactivity and what their plan
is and approaches as an organization moving forward.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
I think if you're not all in in this league,
you're all out.

Speaker 11 (21:26):
And I don't know of any of the thirty two
who aren't all in. And you know, everybody can have
their own definition of what that means. But I've never
not known as to be all in, nor have I
known anybody we compete against not to be all in.
It's you know, they have different strategies as to what
that means. We spend max max money year in and

(21:47):
year out, all thirty two can only spend the same
amount of money over a five year stretch. And when
we're all said and done, we max out our salary
cap every year and we will have we will have
done that. What comes with having a good roster, which
we do and you know we also you know, are

(22:08):
looking towards signing our own guys. It doesn't mean it
happens overnight, but when you're wanting to sign UH players
like Dak and Miica and CD, then you have to
hold money back if you want to have a realistic
chance at signing those guys.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
So with Steven Jones talking with a fan in Dallas
about where they start this offseason, kind.

Speaker 6 (22:29):
Of point out some inaccuracies, just so people out there listening, No,
he just lied.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
That's not true.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
They don't have to spend close to all their cap. Okay,
for starters, the owners and teams over a three year
period have to average ninety percent of.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
The salary cap.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
So technically whatever that number is, right, like, what is
it this year? Is it two hundred and fifty fifty million?
They don't have to spend up to that, right, take
ten percent off, right, let's say two undred and fifty
to make the math easy, ten percent twenty five million,
they won't have to spend it two twenty five That's
that's what the Collective Bargaining Agreement states with the NFLPA,

(23:12):
and one of the reasons why it was put in
to have a spending floor so you can get owners
who weren't spending anywhere close to the salary cap to
actually spend money right to actually pay players.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
It's one way of forcing them to do so.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
Now, if you did it every single year, that'd be
a list a little easier to track, right because you'd say, hey,
every year you have to spend over ninety Well, when
you average it over three years, that means they can
figure out ways of manipulating the numbers to not spend
it in year two or year three or maybe both.
So there are teams that abuse this rule and don't

(23:49):
spend up to it. They kind of have to buy
by league standards, and the league wide spend is you know,
ninety five percent, you know, over those those periods. But
the point I'm making this is like that's not true.
Teams don't always go all in. Dallas hasn't always gone
all in. You know, you can spend more than the

(24:10):
salary cap because you can spend cash, and there's some
teams who are more willing to spend some of that
cash in order to construct their roster to still make
it compliant within the salary cap and try to go
win a championship. I wouldn't say the Cowboys have not
done that, but I wouldn't say they necessarily have done that.

(24:31):
There's been times they have. But you know, this is
an instance this year where you've got Ceedee Lamb. He's
not missing voluntary workouts. Does anyone Does anyone disagree that
Ceede Lamb shouldn't. Yeah, he should get it. If you
believe in Dak Prescott as your quarterback the long term,
you should restructure pay out some cash, payouts, some bonuses.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
So Micah parsons, he's eventually going to need to be extended,
you know. And by the way, that's a credit.

Speaker 6 (24:58):
To them for you know, draft those guys, developing those guys,
have them becoming stars. That's a good problem to have.
But don't listen to a lie like that. You know,
not all these teams spend up the entire salary cap.
That's just that's just not always how this works. They're
in this situation because they waited to pay Dak Prescott.
They paid for it, he signed a ridiculous deal, and now,

(25:20):
for whatever reason, they don't want to extend them out
a little bit and try to restructure this thing to
give themselves a little more salary cat space so they
could have spent one free agency instead.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
One of your biggest.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
Signings is Royce Freeman, who comes in on a one
year deal with the running back position to add to
Deuce Vaughan and Ricodoodle.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
And and that's that's where they're at.

Speaker 7 (25:40):
Well, I think it's it's a wrap for Dak Prescott.
It's going to be a rap for Mike McCarthy and
income Shador Sanders and Dion Sanders. And the hype train
leaves Boulder and goes into Fort Worth.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
Are they in fort Worth?

Speaker 9 (26:00):
There?

Speaker 5 (26:00):
In fort Worth? Cowboys?

Speaker 4 (26:03):
The facilities notes and what was the name of ski
it Frisco?

Speaker 5 (26:08):
Frisco.

Speaker 7 (26:09):
But they play in fort Worth, don't they? I don't
care anyway. Arlington, there you go, Yeah, there you go?

Speaker 5 (26:16):
In Texas? Is in Texas? In the state of Texas. Uh.

Speaker 7 (26:22):
I thought that it was kind of an interesting conversation.
That we had on that yesterday. I mean, Jonas you
you threw it out there, and and the more I
sat and kind of thought on it, I mean, the
amount of Jerry Jones is a salesperson, right, He's he's
a marketer, he's an advertiser. He's he's like a juggernaut

(26:45):
with it. That's what he does. Really, well, why would
you not sell tickets? Like I mean, they're already sold
out and all that stuff. But imagine how much more
they could do if they brought in Deon Sanders. After
Mike McCarthy's tenured ends this year and then Dak Prescott's

(27:07):
tenure ends this year.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
It's like, if Dak Prescott has a year like he
had this year, are they really just gonna let him walk?

Speaker 4 (27:15):
You know?

Speaker 5 (27:15):
It's crazy. He's a he's a he's.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
A really good pro football, pro football quarterback. But he
hasn't to me, he hasn't proven that he is first
level grade a franchise I can take my team to
a Super Bowl quarterback.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
So is this like what the Vikings did with Kirk
Cousins where they said, well, but we can do better
and age and we'd rather.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
Just restart the clock with somebody else. Why not?

Speaker 1 (27:44):
All right, well, why then you're getting further away from
being a competitive team that's going to be a legitimate
super But are you I know, I'm gonna.

Speaker 6 (27:52):
Say I actually don't even know that that was their strategy.
I mean, one the Vikings have ever hourly said that
was their strategy. I just think they didn't want to
pay Kirk what he was asking for, which it wasn't
a fully guaranteed deal, which is the most surprising thing.
So I'm not sure what to make of that. It
almost just sounds like, you know, they want to kind

(28:12):
of clean up some of the salary cap, but they're
still trying to say.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
They want to be competitive.

Speaker 6 (28:16):
It just it doesn't seem like that's going to be
the case, give their roster situation.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
I mean, if Dak Prescott has a year like he
has this year and they don't resign him, he's going
to be a coveted free agent next course he's on
that Kirk Cousins level, So it's going to go up
from there. I don't know, man, I just it's it's
a little strange how they're doing things in Dallas. Unless again,
as they've got a they got a plan and an
eye towards the future, and that involves you know, Sanders and.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
Sanders, Sanders and Sanders.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
And Hunter, the lofts of Sanders and Sanders then Hunter, Yeah,
apparently apparently, which would be fun as hell to watch.
By the way, Dion, you know, Rock and a Cowboy
had every game there in Dallas with the Cowboys.

Speaker 7 (29:00):
But I think he's proven he could. He has a
chance to do it. And I say that, but I mean,
let's let's let's focus in on what is here now,
right now, I'll say super quickly, Mike McCarthy does know
his job has He has to know his job is
on the line right now. That's that's first and foremost.
And so what does that look like in terms of

(29:24):
what he's able to do as a coach when you
have Dak Prescott in the situation he's in, when you
have Cede Lamb who wants his contract, and you gotta
take this off season and work through the fact that
you know, right now, he's not he's not happy because
he doesn't feel like he's whole. You know, Michael Parsons

(29:46):
is sitting there and wondering if he's going to get
his extension now or if it's going to come later,
what what happens with that? I think it creates a
lot of unnecessary questions and pressures that Mike McCarthy has
to deal with as a coach. I mean, those are
your three biggest players that you're talking about, So how

(30:06):
do you navigate in such a pivotal moment in your career?
And make no mistake about it, this is it. If
Mike McCarthy doesn't get it done, this is not only
it for him as a head coach in Dallas, this
is probably it for him as a head coach period
in the National Football League.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
This is it.

Speaker 7 (30:25):
So there's a lot riding on this season for Mike
McCarthy and this just doesn't seem to be the most
ideal of scenarios that seem to be playing out for
him right now in Dallas.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
Yeah, I would agree.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Two pros and a cup of Joe here Fox Sports
Radio and coming up next here from these tierraq dot
com studios, we are going to talk about one player
in the NFL who could find himself elsewhere very very
soon if you believe some of the numbers that are
out there, that's yours here on FSR.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern three am Pacific.

Speaker 7 (31:08):
You ever wonder why you never hear any stories like that?
What do you mean, like a mountain lion or a
pack of coyotes taking one down.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Because they really be just out in the open. Yeah,
they were on freely, especially in southern California.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
With the animals or the homeless. Like who's eating who?
That's what I'm saying. Oh yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (31:36):
I mean, when'd you think you would hear of at
some point coyotes getting a hold of a homeless person
or a mountain lion taking down a homeless person, like
they just be laying around right.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Yeah, but I think they're worried about their jiu jitsu
because off their back you've got the access to you know,
a triangle choke, you could do an arm bar. So
I don't think a mountain iron or a coyote wants
any part of that smoke, you know what.

Speaker 5 (32:04):
I'm saying, because they could end up being the meal.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
I mean, your sleeping bag is basically your gee, and
you could use that to choke somebody say, there's a
lot Ye, I'm just saying there's a lot of tools
at your disposal, you know, if you were to sneak up.
I mean, if you living out there, you got to
assume you know how to handle those types of you know, predators. Yeah,
I would think so, because, Yeah, there's there's a coyote

(32:29):
roaming around the streets of Sherman Oaks, just kind of.

Speaker 7 (32:34):
Like he's found something that's good for him and it's
probably a homeless person and it's not getting reported.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
Damn.

Speaker 12 (32:40):
According to uh the Google Machine, there's only been one
known fatal coyote attack on a human ever confirmed in
the United States of America.

Speaker 5 (32:47):
Wow, yeah, not doing anything.

Speaker 12 (32:51):
Wolves only two in North America since the nineteen twenties?

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Is that since the movie Dancing with Wolves? Or what's
the time stiff he was?

Speaker 13 (33:01):
He was hanging out with three wolves before.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
A dance with wolves?

Speaker 5 (33:08):
You know, two socks. It is a decent movie. I
need know the wolves name.

Speaker 13 (33:18):
I've seen dances with wolves before.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
Wasn't he a white or dancing with wolves?

Speaker 13 (33:22):
Dances with wolves?

Speaker 5 (33:25):
Wasn't it? Wasn't it a white wolf?

Speaker 13 (33:28):
He had white sox he had. Uh yeah, that's why
they called him to socks Hope.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
So well, I couldn't be a black wolf.

Speaker 7 (33:35):
No, no way, wouldn't have been as great a movie.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
You can't have everything. It is a two pros and
a cup of gee.

Speaker 4 (33:46):
Here on.

Speaker 5 (33:47):
We can't have everything you got so god ig nerve.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
Wait, Lee, did you watch some movie last night? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (33:54):
I did.

Speaker 12 (33:54):
I watched Sorcerer with mister Iowa sam I was just
doing a show and tell during the break time.

Speaker 13 (34:01):
It was it was a good time.

Speaker 12 (34:03):
We went a little late, but uh, mister Iowa sam
I offered him to buy him a beer at the
at the concession stand, he said, sure thing. The bartender said,
you want the smaller the big. He gave me a Stein.
I think it's called a Stein mug.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
That uh vicim.

Speaker 12 (34:21):
I think you could take out a pack of coyotes
with this Stein mug and it comes.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
It's a lead.

Speaker 12 (34:26):
It's a lead, a lap special five dollars refills for life,
nice for.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
Life, five life. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Where's this that?

Speaker 12 (34:34):
It's at an establishment called Landmark Theaters and Pasadena, just
down the street from the Rose.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Oh yeah, it's right, that's near me. Yeah, those are
to do that. Yeah, when I come off with my
drinking fast.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Those are the ones with like the really nice popcorn
and food and all that.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
Right, they do have good they do have.

Speaker 13 (34:52):
Yeah, did they start Holace?

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Is that a Mark Cuban company?

Speaker 13 (34:56):
That's a good question. Actually we had.

Speaker 6 (34:58):
One in Denver one time. I remember being super super nice.
There's people coming time to visit back when I was playing,
and I'd be like, yeah, it's just it is go
to the movie and kill time, and it was like
something easier for them to do.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Those places are super nice.

Speaker 13 (35:10):
Yeah, owned by Mark Cuban.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
Nice here and they do.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
I'm saying, like you have sweet deals like that.

Speaker 7 (35:18):
They're heading for a pretty penny to get the mug though. Yeah,
it was twenty eight, twenty nine dollars for the.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
Month, five dollar refills? How many elce is twenty four?

Speaker 13 (35:27):
Oh no, no, no, it's like a thirty two.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
Boy, I mean that would that would drop Jonas?

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Oh submitting that, Yeah, I had a couple not even
like strong beer Modella.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
Can you imagine a seven percent I pa Jonas and
you're trying to.

Speaker 5 (35:42):
Drink in a thirty two? Yeah, I mean I would disappear.

Speaker 12 (35:47):
I would vanish like Sam did to two of these
two arrogant bastards last night.

Speaker 13 (35:52):
If I could say that on air, you can, yeah,
of course you can, uh yeah during the movie two hour,
during the two hour.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Awful arrogon Bass thirty two.

Speaker 5 (36:01):
Yeah, you're an arrogant best Yeah, how about that?

Speaker 4 (36:06):
All right?

Speaker 2 (36:06):
So coming up top of next hour, we are going.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
We are going to talk about somebody, somebody in the
NFL who's, you know, maybe not happy with their current
situation on a current coaching staff.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
We will get into that for you.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
Here a reminder before we get to in case you
missed it, that shortly after the show, our podcast will
be going up, So if you've missed any of it,
be sure to check out the pod search two Pros
where ever you get your podcast. Be sure to also
follow rate and review it again. Search two Pros wherever
you get your podcast. You'll see today show posted right
after we get off the air.

Speaker 3 (36:36):
Sometimes you can't get to everything in the world of
sports or entertainment. Good thing, the guys are here to
bring you in case you missed.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
It, and for that we turn it over to our
executive producer.

Speaker 13 (36:47):
Lead Lap Morning everybody, Good morning, Jonas. Good morning, Brady,
Good morning lebar guys.

Speaker 12 (36:53):
In case you missed this, the odds are out on
the next team for wide receiver Braidley at Uk. Brady,
good morning. H Yeah, odds are out for the next
team for Brandon Ayuk. And guess what, uh who's not
on the list? I'm gonna go down it for you.
Number one Steelers two to one, Panthers six to one,
Patriots six to one, Cardinals seven to one, Chargers nine
to one, Bills in Chiefs.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
Rounded out twelve. The Winers aren't on that.

Speaker 13 (37:16):
I don't see them there either.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (37:19):
The Steelers at two to one, Huh, they're trying to
load up.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
I just gonna say, I mean, if they were to
land Brandon Ayuk, would you feel better about Russell Wilson
next year?

Speaker 5 (37:28):
LeVar No.

Speaker 6 (37:32):
I mean they've signed Van Jefferson, Ques Watts. Good signings
for the wide receiver group. They've already got George Pickens,
Calvin Austin.

Speaker 5 (37:40):
I just does nothing for me.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
They got you too, A nice group.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
Prior moves still there.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Yeah, yeah, who is got Nodsy out of the backfield?

Speaker 6 (37:51):
We got Jalen Warren. Still remember the signed Corderial Patterson too.
With the new kickoff rule, he could be a slash
for them.

Speaker 5 (37:57):
Sounds really good.

Speaker 4 (37:58):
I mean, I like what they got.

Speaker 5 (38:00):
That sounds really good.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
You know, it's kind of a cause and effect. If
they were to land Brandon Ayuk, the effect of that
would be that Russell Wilson's MVP odds those are probably
improved too.

Speaker 7 (38:13):
What do you think about that, bar, I mean, I
hope so for the sake of the team in the city.
For certain, I'm a fan. I hope it works. I'm
just not I'm just I'm gonna go buy that product.
I'm not taking it off of the you know, just
keep moving down. Do you you're going to remove it

(38:34):
from what is that?

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Do you think he's had a had a primanag yet.

Speaker 5 (38:39):
Russ Or No, uh not good. Not good for him,
not dangerous enough
