(01:01):
Tire rack dot com the way tire buying should be. So,
despite what it said last night, it's Bears, not Bear,
and they're not playing any games. The Chicago Bears are
not playing any games. They don't need to see anything.
They've gotten one little taste of rookie mini camp and
(01:22):
they even get through the first practice. I don't think.
And Kayleb Williams has been named the starter. So if
you're looking for an updated quarterback depth chart, don't worry.
It's gonna see Kayleb Williams number one, and then they'll
figure out everything else after that. Probably Tyson bage in too,
but nonetheless, Kayler Williams is your starter. Don't need to
see him compete for it. Like we've heard from Girod
(01:42):
Mayo and some others talk about quarterbacks coming in, he's
got the start. He's going to be their quarterback, and
I don't see why anybody would have an issue with it.
But I'm sure somebody will have a problem with it
that he would be.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
I think the difference too, when you look at the
various rosters with rookie quarterbacks on them, you know they've
got veterans there who've played one games of started games
in the NFL. Jacobe Brissett's there in New England, Sam
Darnold's in Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
You kind of go through the list of teams.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
That's the point.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
And yeah, it's more of a.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Cultural deal within their locker room is making sure that
it feels like it's earned. In this case, they're all
set up being the team with the number one overall
pick for him to play and play right away, and
he's probably, you know, one of the quarterbacks that you'd
say is most ready given his you know, his experiences
play and I think how he'll be able to transition
(02:33):
into the NFL, So there was no reason to wait anyway.
It's not like you've got concerns about maybe his mechanics
or development. You feel pretty good about where's AT's why
he was the number one overall pick. Some people call
him a generational talent. I love this for this reason.
He will get every single rep and opportunity to learn
(02:54):
to make mistakes before the live games matter, so you
don't have to go through this charade of, oh, you know,
we gotta have him battle it out and split reps
with some other It's like, no, he's gonna have every
opportunity to be as prepared as you possibly could be
four week one, and I know we feel like with
the more games, you know, maybe it dilutes a little
(03:17):
bit of what each game and how much it matters,
but it matters. They all matter in the end. And
the problem is when you get in quarterback competitions and
I've talked to you guys about my rookie year before,
where like it was Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson and
myself and Ken Dorsa and the roster, and as a
rookie like I wasn't getting many reps. You know, It's
basically they wanted me to sit. They wanted me to
(03:40):
watch and learn. Then after Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson
battle this out for the entire day of OTA's mini
camp and training camp, they literally benched Charlie Frye and
traded him after week one.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
And the first time my head was was that a
waste of time?
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Like that, that's where you look at the idea of oh,
it's a competition. It's not a competition. You drafted the guy,
you signed him to a contract like it's a business.
It's very different. And then the quarterback position is very different,
as we just touched on in the quarterback room and
how unique it can be. So this makes a lot
of sense it probably would make more sense for a
(04:15):
number of teams that have drafted a quarterback that high,
probably with the exception of Michael Pennix in Atlanta. If
Kirk Cousins, you know, is healthy and can go now.
If you can't, different story, you know, then maybe you
open up. It's depending on how Pennox is looking to
practice and everything else. If Cousins has some setbacks. But
as things stand right now, like bow knicks, you're up.
(04:37):
You know, there's really not any other option there. I mean, yes,
you could say Zach Wilson or Jared Stidham, but you know,
you start looking at these teams that drafted quarterbacks with
the exception of one, all these guys should be playing
pretty much right away.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
I mean, there are no other options in Chicago behind
behind Cayleb Williams. You had to start him for one,
and I think, just to add to the point that
Q made, you're also looking at the factors that went
into getting getting Caleb Williams. You got rid of your
starter to bring him in so that the stakes are high.
(05:15):
Why would you put your number one draft pick in
which you had so much drama play out as it
applied to the position leading up to bringing him to
the team. Why would you mess around with it? There's
no reason to make him fight for the position at
this point. There's no reason to prolong his development and
(05:37):
say he needs to compete. He needs to be what
you guys think he's going to be in Chicago for
this Chicago team to have a chance to be competitive.
They're all tied to his success, everybody there, So why
mess around with it? There's no reason to play no
games with it.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
So why do other teams do that?
Speaker 6 (05:55):
Then?
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Why don't other teams us culturally speaking like you it? Yeah,
I think sometimes you don't want a guy to come
in and feel maybe too entitled or it was given
to him. You don't want that to be the you
know message that goes circulates through the rest of the
locker room. You don't want guys having you know, kind
of feelings towards that guy because he came in as
(06:18):
the day one starter.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
But don't you guys know, like, yeah, he's going to
be the starter, So like, do you even think anything
of that if he's annoyed at the job.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
You do, but there's an element of like being able
to do the job first too. Yeah, you know, there's
a group of veterans in the locker room who when
you draft a rookie quarterback, they don't want to hear
that you're wasting games with him playing before he's really ready,
before they even see he's ready.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
So there's elements of that too that are.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
In play where if he can't go out there and
execute and do the things you're asking him to do,
he's having a hard time calling plays, he's having a
hard time handling what comes along with that. Then you
know there's gonna be veterans that are like, dude, this
guy's not ready. What are you doing, Like, don't put
him out there yet. So they don't. They'd rather have
a veteran guy who's played in the league that you're
(07:04):
not going to go through those those simple mistakes of
you know, running the offense, getting the play call out,
be able.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
To execute the offense.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Now, as far as all the extraordinary things that a
rookie can do or maybe was drafted do, those things
will come out eventually, but there's still the basics and
the fundamentals of just running the system and being able
to call play in a huddle and break the huddle
and go out there and execute it the way it's
supposed to be executed. I mean, that's where you're going
to make sure this guy at least can do that
(07:32):
before you throw them out there.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
To the wolves.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
And there's still something to be said about earning it.
I mean, guys still feel that way, like earn it.
Like I don't have a problem with you being a
number one draft pick and knowing that you're going to start. Well,
I think some people look at it from the standpoint of,
let's see you go through the process of earning it,
and it's almost as though or almost as like for
(07:57):
a vet that may have had a different path to
becoming a starter or becoming a respected veteran on the team.
You know, they're looking at it from the standpoint of
go through some adversity, you know, earn it in practice,
earn it in the locker room, earn it in the
weight room. And so if you're a day one starter
(08:19):
and they just named you a day one starter, it's
almost like, Okay, do you only have up from here?
Or is it can? Is there only downhill from there? Like?
What is it? You know, what's the interpretation of it?
You know, I don't know, but there's something to be
said about earning your your your job for certain.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
You were the number two pick? Did you have to
earn it? Or I didn't start? You didn't start right
away and I did special teams. I did start and
special just laying the lumber on special teams, huh.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
I mean for the for the position in the body
of work that they wanted me to do. They want
me to stand over the tight end and play on
the tight end, like I'm I was so green, so dumb,
like I would have never been a number two pick.
And I was never a diva, which is crazy because
I was kind of labeled like this brash diva. I
(09:12):
heard the same thing, yeah right, And I was undisciplined
and I didn't know my playbook and so many different
things that was said about me coming out, and it
was just kind of like a mechanism that was used
to control a player that actually spoke out while he
was out of school where you didn't generally have a voice.
But when I came into the league, they put me
(09:32):
on the tight end. I never played on a tight
end ever. My job was I was sidelined the sideline
I could cover like I was covering dudes like Santana
Moss in the slots like all these guys they be
talking about, Oh, that's such a mitchmatch. You can't cover.
A linebacker can't cover, Like that was me. I was covering,
I was covering receivers, I was covering running backs, I
(09:55):
was doing all these different things. They put me on
the tight end, like made no sense, but that's what
they did. And they didn't start me there. And I
guess the reason they didn't start me there is they
put me out there and I'm going up against blocking
tight ends and it was hard, like it was hard
to adapt in the adjusted being on this line of scrimmage,
taking on tight ends. It was like it was quite
(10:17):
a like it was a shock for me. So I
didn't start immediately. No.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
Wow, well listen, it's done in Chicago. He's a starter
and now we get to see how plays out moving forward.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
You're a Bears fan. Are you excited?
Speaker 1 (10:29):
You're talking to LeVar? You me to your ass.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
I mean, look, I can't confirm nor deny any of
that stuff. I'm just happy you're from Mammoth. You know,
we're Mamath where we're western part of the state. About
a two hour train ride. To Chicago.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
Why can't we just have an honest conversation with a
Bears fan, Like, why can't you just own up to it.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
You're a Bears fan, you're a Celtics fan.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Either you're excited or I mean, listen, are you excited? Yesterdnight.
I grew up. I grew up. It's just weird. You're
just all over the place.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
It's not weird. He just likes all the front runners.
Speaker 4 (11:01):
And that's not Oh that's not true. I grew up
a Bears fan. But you know so when I was younger,
I was a Bears fan. Look, when I was younger,
I used to wet the bed too. You know you
gotta get it. Well, a fair point, but you know
you got to you n.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
No, I don't think least like straight to work?
Speaker 2 (11:22):

He's destroying it.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Yeah, that's Levar's attention has been Uh, it's been up

You are you sipping on the funny juice back then?
Speaker 2 (12:48):

Speaker 7 (12:48):
I don't think I was back then, and oh maybe
some days an extra curricular.
Speaker 1 (13:00):

you were talking to Jennifer Love.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
You I was.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Helping this nice young woman around for like a nice
young woman. She was very gorgeous.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
She's a rocket ship lee. She was.
Speaker 7 (13:13):
She was she was like platinum blonde, pink shirt, tight
playboy shirt.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
I mean, you were literally a playboy. You're doing the
shape and the outline and everything as you're explaining it.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
Yeah, well, I was peripheral. I was, you know, I
was like working on the peripheral, doing my job, being
a very good employee, recommending these movies and helping her out.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
And then we got well, and then.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
We got to the cashier, and you know, as you do,
I ask.
Speaker 7 (13:42):
Like last name, because everybody's kind of membership and to
have a membership, and uh h e w I t T.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
I was, Oh, my.
Speaker 7 (13:50):
Lord, I've been helping I've been helping Jennifer love Hewitt
for the last five minutes. I didn't realize it, but
I knew she was a regular, but I had never
helped her before seen her for her boyfriend had always
come in.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
So how did you handle it once you realized that
it was her? I sighed real deep inside myself and
uh side, deeply inside of yourself. Yeah, it was well,
I was upset.
Speaker 7 (14:12):
I mean, why why were you upset? Because like she
was my big crush. Okay, but why were you in vogue?
Speaker 1 (14:21):
You stupid? Where you going? Were you? I mean, is
this why you turned to the dark side? Because because
you missed the opportunity to have been to get your crush?
Was like, this is the end of the line for
this style of of this this type of woman. I'm
just going to go in a different direction. Might have
(14:42):
been yours. Yours story now we know where it started.
There we go, Yeah, who knew? I was high deeply
on the end side. So Jennifer love Hewitt, that uh,
that takes some control. That steeredly down the path. So
there it is, way away we go.

I'm gonna live it at that.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
I don't know what was said during the break, but
I don't feel like it was good.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
He needs counseling.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Just you know, commentary on the movie that was on
that's all.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Oh boy.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
He had some interesting comments about Sigourne Michael Douglas again.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
No, I'll tell you Douglas has not appeared on TVs
here since Roberto left, so that I'll tell you everything
you need to know. Bert Berto like was seek out
Michael Douglas movies and put those.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
On and colors, Yeah, colors and Michael Douglas.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
Movies always on. Not anymore. Left, two pros and a
cup of Joe Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn,
Jonas Knox with you coming up in about twenty minutes
from now, we are going to have and I guess.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Are Lorena it's for love you a the real j
Low you know? Yeah, because I've noticed it's been charmed, charmed,
charmed whatever, and now this with j Lo and this
this movie here, shockingly, I am not the one to blame.
Oh though I do love charmed snitching. Yeah, okay, who
(17:21):
is it? Who is it? Who's it on Coop? Because
it's on when I come in.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
I think it actually just plays on the sports channels
after the sports are done.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
It's just there every night on t N T. Charmed
it is.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
It's just there.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Okay, that's fair t N T Okay, that's fair.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
So that's why, that's why it appears fair, but I mean,
you know, and then I've heard that Coop.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
I've heard. I've heard the Coop has tried to.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Change it and Lorraine is taking the remote out of
his hand and saying and said, screw you, pothead.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
We're watching charm like the restroom keys.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Yeah, so that's what I've heard.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
But so yeah, I go through Lorraine. Have you do
want to know? You got to go through Loraino Now
we do. Uh.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
So we've got this FSRIR coming up at about twenty
minutes from now. Lee to Lap has promised us something
in the IR. Right, he has promised to something.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
In the IR.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
So who the hell knows that that's going to involve.
But you did promiseless Lee, You said, yeah, I'll statement
for the IR.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Sure, Yeah, yeah, I gave LeVar a little preview of it.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Okay, all right, so we'll get more of that here
on the air. Coming up in about twenty minutes from now.
They are going to have this new kickoff rule that's
being implemented in the NFL coming up this year. Sean Payton,
the head coach of the Denver Broncos, huge fan of
Russell Wilson. He talked about what that could mean this
new kickoff for the league moving.
Speaker 9 (18:47):
Forward, the coverage and blocking units will get a little
bit bigger because we're reducing the amount of space we're
running in. But from a scheme standpoint, then I think
it'll be the thing. I don't know what the average touchdown,
you know, it's been a while, but he might get.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
A couple of year.
Speaker 9 (19:05):
You're gonna get double digit touchdown return. You're gonna see
a lot more plays. And I think that was the intention.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Of the rule.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
So that was Sean Payton talking about this new kickoff rule.
And I know that Look, I know that the surprise
on side is gone, but that was that was worth
the sacrifice to bring back the kickoff and make that
play more exciting in my mind. So that's dead, but
the kickoff is back, right, That's the way I view it.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
You never know, maybe there's a creative way they could
still do a I don't know, I kick that gives
them the opportunity to get the ball back, you know,
like there used to be the mortar kicks where the
kickers will be able to kick them like really really
high in the air. They allowed some of the coverage
to be able to run through it. I mean, who
knows that whenever you have a new rule implemented, there'll
(19:51):
be people who test what's not written in the rules
about either not necessarily how they have to align, but
then how the play is executed. You know, that was
usually where the New England Patriots always had an advantage
because they would typically operate in the gray and they
would force the league to make rules very black and white,
(20:11):
so you knew where that line was, like I'll never
forget and again being.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
A part of like the.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
The Charlie Rice to Romeo Crenell and Josh McDaniels and
Eric Mangini, all these guys who came from New England.
When they would have NFL officials coming to training camp,
it was very different. You know, most teams would have
them and you're probably having some conversations about and everything else.
They would pepper them with questions about the differences in
what you know they in their mind is called for
(20:38):
PI and what's not and what's like the biggest difference
or what's the one thing or the key things they're
being coached up to look.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
For that's going to get the flag.
Speaker 5 (20:48):
And so they would kind of go through all these
steps on it, and then there'd be some creative things
you do during that practice to see how the officials.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Would see them.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
And sometimes they they wouldn't even tell them, they would
just do them to see, like, all right, how are
they going to be able to see this formation? All
that and oftentimes a credit a good discussion. But the
point was is from other teams that I was with
had different staffs that came from different backgrounds, it wasn't
quite as intricate. They didn't put as much of an
emphasis on how the officials were going to officiate the
(21:17):
games or how they saw a new rule or a
specific rule.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Yeah, I don't have much on it, man, you know,
in terms of the kickoffs and all that stuff. It's
kind of you know, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
Like that is kind of a bummer that Belichick's not
in the league this year, because I'll bet he's already
got different ways he would take advantage of this whole thing.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
You know, what would be hard if you're Belichick, because
I bet he has the chance to consult if he wants.
And what would be difficult is do you really want
to consult and give when you know you could be
back next year?
Speaker 2 (21:52):
That would be the tough part. Like for most people.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I'm not giving it away.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
Sure, for most people whould get into consulting, that's their lane.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
They're going to stand it right.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
They want to be able to consult in a myriad
of ways on different businesses and whatever it is.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
Right.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
They might have a niche here here or there, but
for the most part, you know they're they're in that lane.
When you're a head coach and you're you know, coming
and giving your expertise, you kind of got to play
a little bit of poker with them.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
You know, no one to hold them, no one to
fold them, right.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
You got to know when to walk away.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
Yeah, just Kenny Rodgers, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
I don't know. I just there's just too much going on, man,
Just play football.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
I think it will also be easier for a lot
of people to grasp one thing once they actually see it,
because when you start breaking down, well, you've got to
be this distance apart, and these guys have to be
within five yards here, like once you actually see it
play out. And that's why I wonder if there are
some teams that are like, all right, you know, we're
going to do our best to understand it. Going into
the season, but it's going to be a work in
(22:55):
progress throughout the year on how to you know, perfectly
implement it, how to take advantage of it. Who are
the right that's what Like Kansas City has already talked
about putting the rugby player Louis Reson, zamit, Louis re Sammit,
he's going to be the guy that that a lot
of people are looking at that could be the returner
that they could throw him back there.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
And then you had the Steelers they're gonna put justin field. Yeah,
there was there was that as well. It's going to
become like the Pro Bowl. Right, kickoffs is going to
become like the Pro Bowl.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
By the way, if non exist, if you're justin fields,
refuse to be the returner.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Refuse. You're a quarterback. Just got to go ahead and
return it.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
You've played good football in the league before. Do not
let them make you a returner. Right, he should be
a quarterback, and who knows, he might get his opportunity
there with if rough struggles. So I could see some
rugby players back there, though I don't know, man, I.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Am fascinated to see what that looks like in Kansas
City I think it stinks.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Why because man, I'm like, I'm a traditionalist, purest it's
just too much, too many like adjustments taking place. Yeah,
but this is good.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
It's going to bring back the kickoff because what it
was before was a waste of time.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah, it's true, they were too many, too many. I mean,
i'd say Q said it not too long ago. Just
move move them back, move them back, That's what I
would say. Or or at least just move the tea back.
You know, you can move them closer. You move the
guys that are going down closer, but just move the
tea back. But you're going to say they're off side
(24:29):
if they're not behind the ball when he's kicking it.
So you're going to have further to go. But these
guys have bigger legs. They just got bigger legs. They
kicked the ball further, they kicked the ball better. Like
move them back so you can have a return. That's
all I mean. The kickers get tested, sure, Okay, everyone
(24:49):
gets tested.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
I don't know. It just seems like nowadays a fifty
five yarder is like a chip shot. Back in the day,
it was like, man, fifty year ds like that, you're
doing something nowadays like fifty five, it's like, oh, that's easy,
no problem whatsoever.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
So you're saying that you think there's a bunch of
kickers who are all doped up with absolute mules for legs,
and that's that's what the increase in distance has been.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
I just think that maybe, possibly, is there a window
of time where if you wanted to, you could get
on the gas and nobody could detect it, and you
could bring that with you into the season and just
hit bombs from sixty sixty five, seventy yards Like listen,
(25:38):
Lane Kiffin was way ahead of this when he sent
Sebastian Janikowski out there to kick a seventy yarder or
an eighty yarder on the dirt in Oakland. Nowadays, it's
not that unreasonable to think that a kicker is going
to go out there and do it. And I'm just
wondering what is going on with that, because all of
a sudden, these guys are hitting bombs now. Seeing it
(25:58):
in college, high school, I mean, would you look it up? Man?
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I was thinking, I don't remember being an eighty yard attempt?
Was it?
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (26:09):
I think it was eight attempt? I think so Lee
can you look that up. Sebastian Janakowski Lane Kiffin sent
him out there in Oakland at the end of the
first half with the baseball in field still in because
it was early in the year.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
Seventy six yard at seventy ten. That is far.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Oh see, I thought it was the seventies. I don't
remember it.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Being it is far.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
That's Jonas, I mean, his dog with fifty pounds.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Why do you embellish it?
Speaker 4 (26:40):
You know, he was three seventy five, And I don't
understand why you have to steer us down the path
of handing out wrong information here in the air like
it just I don't. I don't think it's it's worth it,
to be honest with you. By the way, I was
looking this up Gary Anderson career fifty plus field goals
made for Gary Anderson his entire career. Former Pittsburgh Steeler
(27:03):
Great twelve Boswell Boswell does that like in a season right?
Speaker 2 (27:10):
Probably?
Speaker 4 (27:11):
Yeah, he's made thirty so far in his career. Look,
I'm not trying to accuse anybody of you know, getting
on any of that enhancing stuff. I just think that
you know, the kicking.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Game, you get on the gas.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
I mean, no one's testing you isn't.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Noted.
Speaker 10 (27:30):
He can still see him trying it though, just in
case you know something.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Yeah, yeah, and look I would encourage him to he
needs to if he really wants to get Jack.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
I took Andro back in the day. We don't care
that did what what did it help with? It?
Speaker 4 (27:43):
Actually did?
Speaker 1 (27:44):
I mean? But what did it help you with?
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Well, I mean look at the results?
Speaker 1 (27:48):
What are you applying it to to radio? Okay, so
your voice would be like I am Jonas Neson and
you took and you're like, hey, yep, I'm Joe. Yeah okay,
well then it matters.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
Yeah see it helped Yeah help, I mean it helps.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
For our show? Yeah? Is this all natural Jonas right now?
Or like would it sound better if you had some
Andro and you I don't know.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Listen, I'm not handing out any free uh you know,
sponsorships or promotions here, Like if anybody wants to get involved,
who knows? Like if you if you're a gas company
out there and you want to go unleted on this show, Yeah,
let's go.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Like blue shoes. You know I did the blue choo
read he did? Yeah, I stand by the product too.
Is that still going on by the way, I mean
we need to re up that day promo code promo
code re up.

Air breaking news from Fox Sports.
Speaker 10 (29:54):
Well, guys, always exciting when we get some news regarding
the NFL. We knew that these season opening game would
be on a Thursday, as we've had for the last
few seasons. We knew it would feature the defending Super
Bowl champion Kansaity Chiefs. We now know who they will
be playing and hosting on Thursday, September the fifth, and
then we'll be reigning League MVP Lamar Jackson and the
(30:15):
Baltimore Raven rematch.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
N There we go, love it and the rest schedules season.
Speaker 10 (30:22):
Rest of the schedules coming out on Wednesday, right yea, yep, yep.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
And they'll they'll drop little feature games and all that
throughout the course of the week. I would imagine that.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
So excited, I'm so excited for the season.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
So excited.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
Let me seriously like this is this is going to
be a fun, fun NFL season. There you go, I
just and that that couldn't have been of their schedule
of games that to me, and Houston might have been
the other one, but that was the one that I
think sells the best.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
You know, Baltimore is gonna have a red ass for
how that game.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Went, Kansas City red ass huh.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
Well, and they'll probably do really well because it's not
the playoffs. Oh gee wow bang bang damn wow. Heart
right hook there, now, let me see if I can
get a let me say, let me see your fingers.
They'll move as quickly as.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Cues in Kansas City. So I would guess. I bet
Casey's getting two and a half if it's any If
if it's anything.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
Higher than three, i'd be surprised. I would think the
opening line would be around three two.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
And a half.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
So I haven't seen it yet, but as soon as
we do get that that opening line on uh the
opener between Baltimore and Kansas City to kick off your
season September fifth, which, man, it's just not that far away.
It's far enough away, less than four months.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
It's crazy.
Speaker 4 (31:46):
Yeah, time flies when you're leading up to the season,
and if you're the NBA playoffs, great knowing you this week.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
I'm seeing the Chiefs as three point favorites. You are, I'm.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
Seeing three and a half now in this book. But yeah,
that's about right. That's about right for home field.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Advantage, right, I take those points in that home field opener.
I'll take that in Baltimore. Are they playing in Baltimore?
Speaker 2 (32:12):
No? No, Kansas City.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
I'm right, yeah, yeah, I'll take that.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
You're laying the points. Then if you're taking the points,
you'd be on Baltimore side.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
That's correct.
Speaker 4 (32:19):
Detroit Detroit won last year.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
I say Detroit did one last year.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
I mean, there was some help with the drop balls
and all that stuff, but Detroit won that opener last year.
And then you know, I guess the real bet should
be whether or not Rashie Rice will be a part
of that game.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
I don't think that should be a bet. Yeah, yeah, no,
I think that'd be pretty clear. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
So we will have more on that coming up here
throughout the course of the show. But as you heard
from Eddie Garcia, the breaking news it'll be Chiefs hosting
the Ravens to kick off the season has just announced
a short time ago by the NFL. Right now, though
it is time for a Monday tradition called.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
This after your sports weekend happens.
Speaker 6 (33:06):
So it's time to get the fsr IR report.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
Al Lee, you promised this, So what do we get
promised promise?
Speaker 7 (33:16):
I had a good little bar hop going on on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Of course, led into Sunday and continued into Monday.
Speaker 7 (33:22):
How many bars I will give a solid four first
one starting with my grandmother's funeral.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
That was That was the first one. That's the name
of the place.
Speaker 7 (33:32):
Yes, that was my grandmother's funeral was the first place. No,
as I teased, it was my celebration of life of
great Carol Mom. Obviously I polished off her konyak a
week or so ago, as as we all remember.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
Hold on a second, hold on, did she just die
no Thanksgiving? She passed away on Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving? Yeah, is recent.
So we went through this death with you, and you
didn't even tell us, you know, went under the radar.
Dang acted like an a hole to me that thank
(34:08):
you guys, but you but you just oh our four
but you did you did?
Speaker 4 (34:15):
Uh make sure to mention that you polished off her konyak.
Speaker 7 (34:20):
Yeah, her liquor cabinet, which was what was left in it.
I think I left the peach schnapps in there, but
the koonyak was gone. Yeah, I made sure that. So anyway,
we had a we celebrated carol Mom's life and legacy,
which was a great time. But it was a dry
uh celebration, So of course everyone came to me for
(34:41):
what I had in my pocket.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
In your pocket? It was a draft celebration.
Speaker 7 (34:47):
Well I mean not really, but I mean yeah, I
think they knew if they were going to be bringing
booze they would have to they'd have to push out
a pretty penny so for our family. So anyway, there
was there was at Palmers. There was lemonade, and there
was icy. So everyone's making o old Palmers and of
course they seem, you know, like, well how do we
make this better? So we go to find Lee. Lee
(35:08):
knows what's up? Oh I had some What do you need?
I got a little tequila, some gin and whatever you need, dude.
So anyway, good times, God bless you.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
We'll come back home.
Speaker 7 (35:22):
Of course, we start off with the good night, meet
a nice little lady, uh, and then we started the
bar hopping. We make it over the tiki the tiki bar,
so go from the karaoke bar to the tiki bar,
because uh, you know, I'm pursuing and uh, but this
is where I this is where I messed up. I
started with the with the friend, and then I jumped
(35:44):
to the other friend. So then I started getting blocked.
I was getting blocked out. Yeah, because I started with
the friend yourself, I got greedy. Well, I was a
little I was a little sloppy at that point. So
but we we had a nice little dance at the
teki bar. Spun her around a few times, but then
they she blocked me out.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
She got out of there.
Speaker 7 (36:04):
So then I went to the hookah bar next door,
got myself a case idea, went home because there was
a truck.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Outside right now. It was a good case, the best
case idea, by the way, spun her around a couple
of times. Yeah, we danced. Let's dance. We danced at
the tiki bar. What do you think she has a draidle.
She had to celebrate Mother's Day right now,
