tire buying should be so, I mean, this is kind
of interesting before we get into the NFL conversation that
we're about that, Hey, thanks for listening. What the hell
was that? What the hell was that?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
No idea.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
There was something that happened during the break as well
well too, where I heard something from Brady Quinn that
went over on the air, like an old recording or
something like that. And normally, which is listen, it all
kind of adds up and makes a little bit of
sense because strange things have happened here on this show
this morning, and that normally is an indication that maybe

(01:40):
we are being visited by somebody at some point, because
a tweet was just sent out by live bed Jesus,
which would tell me that at some point on this show,
if there is a live sporting event going on, he
will be making an appearance.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
I mean the US soap and is going on right now?

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, I mean is it on Peacock Lee So we
can't get it on the on the big screen here?

Speaker 1 (02:05):
That is uh, that is that's not on USA.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Not not currently, and I know a lot of people
are up in arms about it not being behind a firewall.
I believe we've gotten ourselves a Peacock subscription here at
the studio. But I can't get it on one of
these TVs.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
I mean, it's telling me that it's on USA USA Golf.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
Oh, we got it, I mean, do we look at all?

Speaker 7 (02:28):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
So let's uh, by the way, it's channel two forty
two for you Direct TV subscribers in the studio there.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
Thank you for that, if there are any.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Any of those left in the world. But but no,
unfortunately we're not showing that here on the channel that
we've got. But point is, I bet Jesus has sent
out a tweet and maybe he will be making an
appearance here at some point to make a pick on
on exactly what is happening over there in North Carolina Pinehurst,

(02:59):
where I was watching with my son yesterday, and looked
like some of those guys were struggling a little bit,
you know, like they were really struggling. I forget who
it was, God, who is the guy who was hitting
from the rough and literally missed the entire green on
the other side. I forget Harry some Oh God, what's
his name?

Speaker 4 (03:19):
English?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
No, I forget his name. But you're just watching it going.
This seems like it's a little bit more difficult than
some of the courses that we've seen recently, Like some
of the courses that have been out there were good.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
That's kind of the traditional of the US Open.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Usually they make it extremely difficult for the players. In
this case, there's a bunch of people I know, especially
guys who are golf fans. Something happened to be buddies.
They always complained for the golfers. I mean, that's the
one thing about golfers that you'll see they openly.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Complain about the conditions of the course.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
And then you'll get golf fans are like, yeah, those
creeds are too fast, they can't hold it.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
It's like, dude, they're pros. It's golf.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
We all play like these same deal where you've got
like conditions sometimes that are not even what the PGA
Tour would play in. They'll be okay, like we don't
need to complain for them too, Like they're professional golfers.
They'll figure it out and so what Like I would
love to see a tournament that the winner was like

(04:19):
four over because the course played so hard, the cost
was so hard. It's like it's almost like an ego thing,
like it's impossible. It's impossible to.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Think that a PGA Tour player could ever play over par.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
My god, It's like, dude, okay, So it's hard to
put on, it's hard to hold the green. Figure it out.
You got three rounds or at least two to make
the cut, but then four rounds to figure out to
try to win the thing.

Speaker 6 (04:45):
People can I just I don't.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Feel bad all for professional golfers.

Speaker 6 (04:48):
I don't either.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
People complain about the NBA All Star Game and it's like, well,
they're scoring four hundred points between the two of them
and et cetera. It's like, okay, Like I agree with you,
so then let's not complain when you see somebody actually
play defense. And the defense in golf is a more
difficult course. So like, I like it. I like the
fact that guys are going to struggle, Plus makes them
more relatable. Nobody can relate to a golfer. Majority of

(05:12):
those guys have never had it hard, all right. The
most the most adversity they've faced is whether or not,
you know, there's a surprise hail storm at some tournament
that they're playing in that they're going to make, you know,
five hundred thousand dollars in by finishing eightieth place. They
grew up, they grew up privileged, and it's why a
lot of people can't relate to it, especially a lot
of people from the mean streets of places like where

(05:32):
I come from, Dublin, Ohio, Monmouth, Illinois, places like that.
They can't relate to some of these golfers and they're
you know, they're manicures and everything else that comes along
with that lifestyle. So the fact that they're going to
go out there and struggle a little bit, I think
it's I think it's noteworthy. I think it's important for
society that people gonna have athletes that they can relate to.
Can't relate to an NBA player guy's seven to five

(05:54):
and he can dunk. But a golfer though, guy who's
got a bad swing, hitting shots out of the you know,
out of the sand. I think that's something everybody can
rally around. So good for them struggle a little bit right,
get on our level, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
I just feel like, of all the professional sports, the
one you look at and you go, these guys probably
didn't really have a rough time of it growing up.
It's probably gone, yes, right, like yes, the entire sport
kind of exudes this this sense of I don't want
to say privilege, but just like it's an expensive sport
to begin with, so if you were able to play it,
for the most part, it's really hard for people who

(06:29):
don't have a lot of money to be able to
play and then make it to that level. So you
kind of look at it like, all right, the other's stories.
Don't get me wrong, but by and large, it's drastically
different than what you see in other professional sports like
the NBA or like the NFL the.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
Other one's hockey.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Hockey's really expensive to play, and I didn't realize it
until I like one of a guy did radio with
in Charleston. He was telling me like there was like
hockey was big out there, and he was telling me
like he was trying to get his kid into hockey.
He's like, yeah, I don't know if it's going to
fly on a radio salary. I was like, why is that?
And he started telling me the fees, like the equipment
every season you want to play every year you want

(07:04):
to play on like Jesus Man, like, that's that's why basketball, baseball,
I mean even baseball, some of the travel leagues are
expensive that you want to play in. Like I think
when you look at golf, it's like if you're if
you're a member, you've got money and that's probably the
best way to improve and get better. So if you're
one of those guys, yeah, you didn't, you didn't grow up,
you know, having to deal with some struggle. That's why

(07:26):
Scottie Scheffler getting arrested and being thrown in an orange
jumpsuit twenty eight minutes after he got arrested by the cops,
there was the story we could also all rally around,
you know.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
I think there's been a lot of stories of late that.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Mostly it's everything off the course, you know, whether it's
you know, Scotti Scheffler in a jumpsuit, you know, guys
maybe you know, slinging some stuff off the course all that.
It's like, well, all right, they're like us. They're not
just you know guys all dressed up in polos and
golf pants and I feel like they're above society.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
It's fun for everybody, all right.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
So, speaking of orange jumpsuits and people getting in trouble,
those damn Atlanta Falcons, man, how.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Could you How did they get popped and the Eagles didn't.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
I'm still trying to figure that out.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
And isn't this something that like everyone does basically in
the NFL.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
No, those deals that come out at twelve oh one
am Eastern time, those free agent deals that are announced
that you need to tell me, those aren't negotiated in
sixty seconds. Once it's official that they can get to
get some of these contracts done. That's why it feels
like the NFL if they wanted to, it's it's like
a cop who pulls somebody over for speeding. There's a

(08:38):
lot of I would say, majority of the people I
see driving into work are speeding, but you can't pull
everybody over, so you pull over one, maybe two, just
to set an example. And it feels like the Atlanta
Falcons were the example. And also Kirk Cousins, you know,
basically admitting that there was conversations that were had before
he actually signed the deal probably didn't do him any favors.

(08:59):
So they lose a fifth round pick. They get fined
two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for violating the NFL's
anti tampering policy on free agents. This in regard to
Kirk Cousins, Darnell Mooney, and Charlie Warner GM. Terry Fontano
got popped fifty thousand dollars as well too. Mike Florio
had to tweet out set a high level executive with

(09:19):
another team about the Tampa and quote, if I can
land the top quarterback and free agency for a fifth
round pick and two hundred and fifty K, I'll sign
up for that any day. It just this feels like
kind of a joke, like it's kind of ridiculous, and
yet they're losing a draft pick for it.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
So I do think there's maybe one thing or one
way reason why maybe Kirk Cousins would would comply with
the investigation and all that. I mean, because who got
fined in all this? Right, So the Falcons lose a
fifth round pick? Is it next year in twenty twenty five? Yes,
the team got fined is two hundred fifty thousand dollars

(09:56):
and fifty K. And then Terry Fontnu got fined was
a two thousand dollars in himself. I mean, I'm not
saying this is an actuality would happen, but let's just say,
for example, the NFL came to you, if you're Kirk.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Cousins, and happened to ask some questions.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
About all this, and you know, you happen to say
and I understand the comments he made that they used
his evidence were before the draft took place, but once
the draft took place, I mean, and if there are
some questions to be asked, I mean, I guess if
you're Kirk Cousins and you had any frustration about them
drafting Michael Pennicken, that would go.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
Yeah, you know what, Actually they did contact me. I
felt like it was a little bit wrong on my
side of things.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
But you know who's gonna get fined for this one
O the team and our general manager, the guy who
made the decision to take Michael Pennix. Oh yeah, yeah, okay,
yeah for sure. He called me on this date. Here's
my call log, here's our text text message exchange. Hear
the players who were yep, go ahead, find them take
away draft pick, hurt him moving forward if you can.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
That would be pretty great if we found out that
Kirk Cousins had a red ass over the Michael Pennocks
pick and was like, no, no, no, we're all good here, hey,
Roger rog Yeah, they were talking to me before all
this could become official. They were cheating that I.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Got my one hundred million pou.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
That wouldn't be pretty great. I just I feel like, Okay,
I don't. I don't want you to out anybody. But
you've been a free agent before, fair to.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Say it was different. It was different back then. It
was different back then.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Usually what happens, and this is what players will do
sometimes their agents will have them do, is when they're
set to become a free agent, and the combine typically
happens at the end of February. Okay, I guess there's
there's two times. There's the Super Bowl where players will
be walking around and there to do appearances and whatnot.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Right, so they they happened.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
To bump into people, which more often than not, you're
not going to find a bunch of teams the Super Bowl.
But sometimes you'll see agents have players do that to
discuss the potential of signing a deal.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
This is how it used to be.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
But the combine is the one where you expect always
see the guys out of college going into the NFL,
which you don't expect to see as veterans who are there.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Veterans will fly in and they will.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Be meeting with some of the teams will have to
bump into some of the teams, and you know, general managers,
coaches and the agents will be there and oftentimes that's
where the framework of something would have taken place, and
they hide under the veil of well, I've got other
clients on that roster. That's why I was talking to
the general manager. That's why I signed on the coach,

(12:40):
even though they've got a client who's a free agent
who they're talking about.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
What that deal is going to look like. So that's
how it used to be.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
So you would, for example, I'm not gonna say what hotels,
but there'd be a couple of hotel bars you've walked
through and you'd be like, oh, yep, there's so and.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
So, there's so and so, what's he doing here? This
makes sense?

Speaker 1 (12:57):
And that's an essence where the cotch negotiations would start.
And then once if it's a legal tampering period now
or even back then, if they had called about something else,
they might just pop up into the conversation.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
By the way, hotel bars really underrated. Big fan of
hotel bars. Yeah, I've talked to Lee about that, But
surprisingly enough, I've talked to Lee about that several.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
For a guy who never travels. Though I'm not really
sure why you're such a big fan.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Yeah, but you know, because it is so rare. I
really do appreciate him more so than yourself. You probably
walk by him and go, do they have caviar? Not interested?
I walk by him and I go, h, there's an
opportunity to get buckled and then just stumble up to
your room. All you got to do is hit an elevator.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Why do you try to act like your Lee like
that is something Lee has done will.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Do is more of his persona.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
No, you're now trying to make yourself seem like you're
like you're not no Irish goodbye, or you don't come
out at all.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
No, that is not true. This is the difference between
Lee and I. If I was telling the story as Lee,
what I said is hotel bar, elevation room. For Le,
it's hotel bar, liquor store, bar next to the liquor store. Well,
since we're here, we'll go to the next one. So
you can't bring that bag in. Don't worry, I'll drink

(14:12):
it before I come in. And then he hits up
that place and then stumbles back to the hotel bar
and then back up to the room.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
He doesn't go back up to his room.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
He hangs out to make sure that you get back
to your room, and he will be drinking while doing that,
which is where I found him in Dublin, Ireland, and
one of the it was a really kind, sweet gesture,
but I realized he was so mangled. I'm like, buddy,
do you need help going to your room? Like you
know where you're from it. He was like, oh, I'm
good man, I'm just you know. I was like, all right, that.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
Might have been the move, actually, yeah, because we were
on the same floor, so I probably was just following
you around making sure.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
I actually thought it was like a sobering up technique
where you're just trying to stay awake through like the
spins or something. My sister got absolutely hammered the other
night and she had pop high and she told me
she went back and swam like she swam to sober herself.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
So she had to spin so bad.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
That's a horribleea.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Well, obviously her husband like sat and watched, sat and
watched her because.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
It could have been it could have been.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Bad otherwise, but that's her technique. She'll like go running
or she'll she wants try to like swim it out.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Yeah, it just I do. I do think that Like
the problem for us was, you know, especially Lee and
I is that Ireland time. The show started at eleven
a m. The possibilities were open to all sorts of
like fun to be had. And so Lee looked through
that and was like, I normally only get like an

(15:40):
hour and a half or two hours sleep before a
show out here on Pacific time. Now that we're on
Ireland time, let me go ahead and take full advantage
of this.

Speaker 6 (15:48):
And he did. He did.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
We can't confirm that he did. Absolutely, that was a
that was a damn good time.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Well.

Speaker 5 (15:54):
My one complaint about our hotel in Dublin was that
they don't have ice machines.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
Really, what am I?

Speaker 5 (16:00):
My favorite things at hotels is the first thing I
do is go fund the ice machine, make sure it's
nice and close and so I could get stocked and
ready to rock.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
I always thought to myself, like, who uses the ice
machine anymore?

Speaker 3 (16:11):
If I have a fridge, what is like, why do
you need the ice machine?

Speaker 5 (16:15):
You got you gotta have ice, you got ice?

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Putting a drink? Oh okay, Lee, actually, I think they
did have one. I just think you were too angled.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
I thought they did.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
They had one on one floor and it wasn't ours.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
Well, how bad do you want it?

Speaker 3 (16:29):
Lee? All right, show some commitment hen in the stairway.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, Lee, were you just like hanging out on the
lobby until like I made it back or Jonas made
I mean Jonas really didn't go out.

Speaker 5 (16:42):
You had missed Jonas by like fifteen seconds.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
I was probably a good thing.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
I went out, and, by the way, was forced to
walk the entire length of Dublin because Brady and Lee
kept saying, Oh, I know where we're going, I know
where we're going. I'm like, ah, this doesn't feel like
we know where we're going. We were closer to California
than we were our hotel at one point.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
That's not true, ridiculous, that's not sure.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
We went up the exercise.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
Yeah, it's probably a good idea.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
I don't think I was as drunk as lead, but
it definitely wasn't sober.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
I know that it was, by the way, worst stake
I've ever had in my life at a restaurant. It was.

Speaker 6 (17:16):
It was pretty pretty rough, but the other stuff.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
You paid for the Bill too.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Well. Listen, I mean, I don't know what to tell you.
They don't accept pesos? Is that my fault? Blame Blame Dublin,
Blame their uh, you know, blame of the people they
handle the revenue there. Also, I made a mistake buying
euros at the airport. Not a good idea. The exchange
rate a little bit different than what I could have
gotten before I left. But you know, first time out
of the country to Europe, I don't tell you it

(17:43):
is a two pros and a cup of Joe. Here
on Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here,
and that'll wrap up our coverage of the tampering allegations
against the Atlanta Falcons UH and the punishments that have
been handed out. Coming up next here though, from the
tiraq dot com studios. Apparently not only are things changed
in the world of football, they're getting rebranded as well too.

Speaker 6 (18:04):
We've got the information for you right here on FSR.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
Hey, we're Cavino and Rich Fox Sports Radio every day
five to seven pm Eastern. But here's the thing. We
never have enough time to get to everything we want
to get to.

Speaker 8 (18:27):
And that's why we have a brand new podcast called
over Promised. You see, we're having so much fun in
our two hour show. We never get to everything, honestly,
because this guy'll be over promised in things we never
have time for.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah, you blubber listen Jame and me.

Speaker 7 (18:41):
Well, you know what it's called over promise. You should
be good at it because you've been over promising women
for years.

Speaker 8 (18:45):
Well, it's a Cavino and Rich after show, and we
want you to be a part of it. We're gonna
be talking sports, of course, but we're also going to
talk life and relationships. And if Rich and I are
arguing about something or we didn't have enough time, it
will continue on our after show called over Promised.

Speaker 6 (18:59):
Well, if you don't get enough.

Speaker 7 (19:00):
Covino and Rich, make sure you check out over Promised
and also Uncensored, by the way, so maybe we'll go
at it even a little harder. It's gonna be the
best after show podcast of all time.

Speaker 8 (19:09):
There you go, over promising. Remember you could see on YouTube,
but definitely join us. Listen over Promised with Cavino and
Rich on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you
get your podcasts.

Speaker 6 (19:22):
Two pros and a cup of Joe.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Fox Sports Radio Brady Quinn, Jonas NOx with you here
coming up and we'll call it a little over fifteen
minutes from now. It is a Friday tradition here on
the show. It is a little something we do called
over unders where we will get into action on the
world of sports and beyond in a gambling way. That'll
be yours here coming up a little over fifteen minutes.

(19:44):
What what's the problem?

Speaker 4 (19:45):
That's what you're promoting. Yeah, get the radio formax oly theway,
No one cares what we've got headline a lie.

Speaker 6 (19:50):
Coming up next, Yeah, yeah, next down.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
You have not promoted that enough.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
We need your callers to call in to come participate
on a fraud and I'm gonna put you in a
body bag.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
I just want you to know that right now.

Speaker 6 (20:04):
Okay, okay, I think I don't.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Know who's calling in, who's gonna be on my team.
I'm gonna be putting you in a body bag.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
All right, tad bit aggressive. I think it's a tad
bit aggressive for morning radio, and I think a lot
of people I want to apologize on behalf of Braden
Quinn for the way that he just spoke to me.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
It's a bit aggressive.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
We will be promoting ahead to that, but look, I
don't want to you know, jam the phone lines here
and have people on hold for an hour. So that's
why I said, we'll just promote ahead to over unders
and then we're gonna.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Have the way next hour. Do you want to know
what people used to do to be able to listen.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
I don't know I should say this because we're not
we're not on satellite radio. PROBSS shouldn't promote them to
do this. But people used to call in and sit
on hold when I used to work for Serious XM,
so they could get to listen to the show for
free because they didn't want to pay.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
For the subscription. Really, that's the heck.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
Yeah, so we.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Would get callers to call in if we had thrown
it out there.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
They listened to the last hour and.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
A half of the show and never try to pick
up and hope to prove it's disconnect them.

Speaker 6 (21:09):
I mean, look, you know they had to hear you
and Murray.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
I mean that was uh you had to have to
get it in, so you gotta do what you gotta
do about that. I just I think, listen, there's you
got to save a buck somehow, some way, so, uh,
you know, hopefully we can make a few bucks for
some people here coming up with over unders in a
little over fifteen minutes.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
Oh my god, Oh my gosh, hold on, it's coming there,
he goes.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
All right, So the lights have now flickered, and now
they're completely out in the studio. For some reason, all
the TVs have gone off. I can't see a damn
thing except for mys and that's uh no, there's literally
nothing on right now.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
You see anything.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
I'm gonna try And now there's a like a beaming
light shining into the studio here, and all of a sudden,
there's a piece of paper falling down onto the desk.
For those of you that think this is some sort
of a radio bit, it's live. Bet Jesus used to
appear on our Sunday night show together for years and
he would make a wager on a live sporting event.

(22:17):
The problem is, in this timeslot, there's not a lot
of live sporting events. But we do have one right now.
It's the US Open at Pinehurst, and now this piece
of paper, I have not seen what's inside the piece
of paper. I'm going to read it live on the
air and see what the pick is because I'm assuming
it's the US Open, But who knows, maybe there's like
a dodgeball game in Taiwan that could be the case.

(22:39):
But we'll open up and we'll see what's inside. Just say, jeez,
it is today, on the fourteenth of June twenty twenty

(23:00):
four that I Live bet Jesus proclaimed the pick to
be Chess Hadley to win the fifth hole over Adams
Fenson and Mark Hubbard at Pinehurst at the US Open.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Yeah, well, what are the odds on this that Live
Bed Jesus just placed.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Don't I mean if I had to guess against, Like
I don't know any of the information here, If I
had to guess, I would say, he's probably like a
plus one sixty to win that hole, the fifth hole
at pine Lee.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Can we can we check this just to make sure
Live Bed Jesus didn't like forget to refresh the page.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
They've probably already teed off too. Is that how this works?

Speaker 6 (23:43):
Well?

Speaker 3 (23:44):
I don't know why we can't just celebrate the commitment
to the pick by Live bet Jesus that he's got
to go through all the theatrics to just complete, take
out all the power in the studio and then make
a pick on the air, And you can't just be
appreciative of it and stay you get it.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
You've literally bet on baseball games. It's Sunday night baseball
with teams in the ninth inning. You've made a live
bet that it was like minus four hundred just to
try to get a winner.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
That's why, look, a win's a win.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
I don't know you've lost some of those two.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
I don't know what to tell you here, Lee, Are
you seeing any of the same information as as what
Live bet Jesus is saying. My guess is a plus
one sixty?

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Yeah, I think you're right plus one sixty.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Oh. I mean again, I was just guessing. But you know,
some people are insiders and some people aren't.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Do you guys have it up?

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Are you watching this?

Speaker 5 (24:38):
I do have it on my streaming device here?

Speaker 4 (24:40):
Yes, by streaming device?

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Is that your phone?

Speaker 4 (24:43):
What are you watching it on.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
My work computer?

Speaker 3 (24:46):
I've literally got three different channels with weather on for
some reason.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Well that's well, well the Mountains.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
Now I know I Lee has that one on. That
makes sense, So they're.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
What's it on Peacock?

Speaker 5 (25:02):
It is on Peacock right now. It'll be on NBC
later today, but as of right now.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
Just why don't you tell your blowhards with with golf
get it together? How about one place the entire time.
I'm sick of this crap. Yes, you're friends with these people,
You're you're a member at Augusta National and all these places.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
That is zero truth to that.

Speaker 6 (25:25):
Well, look here's what I do know.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
If you are not happy with the changing landscape of
college football, well buckle up, because not only are things
changing with coaches going elsewhere and players going elsewhere, and
players getting paid in different sponsorships and networks, and the
playoff expanding. Walk we through what's happening with the Big Twelve.

(25:50):
Apparently we're not going to be calling it the Big
Twelve anymore. This is a bold moved where they're now
we're looking at naming rights and rebranding the entire league.
What the hell is happening to a conference that you've
called mini games for over the past few years? Is
the Big twelve dead as we know it.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
No, it's not dead as you know it. Maybe is
the name that you know. But right now they're molling
over selling the naming rights and rebranding the league. And
Brett Yormark, their conference commissioner, to me, is one of
the more progressive thinkers of any that are out there
right now in all the power conferences, are just all

(26:29):
the conferences that are left at this point. The naming
sponsor would basically take over the Big, so they would
keep the twelve, but they would lose the Big and
basically put that up for sale. So whoever wants to
be their leading sponsor, and however many millions they can
bring in to be the I don't know, the Chevron

(26:51):
twelve or however would be right the Apple twelve. If
Apple wants to go ahead and be the naming rights bid,
it's creative. It sounds maybe cheesy, it sounds like, man,
they feel like they're selling their soul right now.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
But that's how schools feel like.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Instead of the schools going to the commissioner and pleading
and begging, Brett Yormark is saying, all right, if we're
only getting let's say, you know, however many million a year,
what twelve thirteen million or something like that, you know,
a year from the college football playoff.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Meanwhile, the Big ten and SEC are getting like twenty
one million.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Let's go ahead and try to figure out a way
of closing that gap. How do we go about closing
that gap? We find other ways of selling, whether it's
naming rights in this case, or other things that they
could potentially do. For example, they could have a private
equity company come and invest in the Big twelve conference,
so they get an infusion of cast cash in the

(27:45):
short term, which helps kind of cover the gap in
the TV media rights deal where their schools are getting
approximately thirty two million per year right now, Whereas when
you compare it to the Big ten the SEC, it's
now we're really close where those schools are receiving north
of fifty million. So there's all these gaps between the

(28:06):
Big ten SEC. That's furthering right now. Those two conferences
from the ACC from the Big twelve and Brett your
mark is being very creative, very aggressive, and his approach
about making sure the Big twelve doesn't get left behind.
You know, the PA company for example, I think from
what I read is like a firm amount of Luxembourg.

(28:26):
I mean, who knows where this is.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Going to go.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
But like you got international dollars coming in now that
are trying to play a role in college football or
college sports. That's how hot it is to invest in
the sports or the sports industry.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
I saw and you kind of alluded to it, how
you know, it might seem a little cheesy or but
I like I saw there was a headline of an
article that came out that said, you know, the Big twelve,
they're desperately attempting to keep up with the SEC and
the Big ten.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
And it's like, what do you want them to do?

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Just like stay put and not do anything, like not
try and come up with solutions on how to figure
this thing out. So good for him, Like at least
he's at least he's like like opening up different options
and looking at different things that they can do. I
don't have a problem with it. And if you're not,
like once once NIL came around, but once like the
PAC twelve dissolved and you saw everything else sort of

(29:19):
happen and all the transitioning, I mean, like either deal
with it or you're just not going to get to
enjoy college football like this is what it is like,
and it's just a changing landscape. And I think for
those of you that can't adapt, you're just gonna die
and you're gonna sit there and watch it all pass
you by. So at least he's trying some things be
kind of fun. I am curious to see what sort

(29:39):
of you know, sponsors to their name and that, because
you know, like Bangbros. Has been very active in this.

Speaker 6 (29:48):
I'm just twelve Bangbros.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Twelve. I'm just saying it sounds like some shelf. Like
they tried to get the heat at least two or
three times every time Miami's sponsorship deal fell apart, they
were like, what about us?

Speaker 6 (30:07):
What about this time? Like they kept upping the offer.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
If they just threw a boatload of cash at the
Big twelve, what do you say.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Not all heroes wear capes. That was a perfect example
of that. It's just I don't understand why it wasn't
given more serious consideration. I mean, would you want that
or would you want like a defunct cryptocurrency, which is
what I like.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
What's the name Sigamine Freed or whatever his name is?
That guy has me how much time is he going
to do in prison thirty years or whatever guy's name is, Like, look, I.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Think he yeah, I think he got off relatively.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
I don't want to say scott free.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
But by the way, do you see some of the
details in those parties that would have what a weir?

Speaker 4 (30:46):
Who?

Speaker 3 (30:47):
What a what a weird guy?

Speaker 1 (30:50):
A lot of weird people out there, buddy. But back
to the original point. You know, one of the things
I would point as a start contrast is like looking
at the Big twelve in this HUD's getting out there.

Speaker 4 (31:01):
It's good for Brett your.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Mark as a commissioner because it doesn't look like he's
sitting on his hands and waiting for the Big ten
or the SEC to poach his teams or for teams
to want to move on to other leagues if they're
given the opportunity to. Whereas the ACC it's like you
feel like they're just waiting for it to collapse, almost
and they're not really doing anything to help keep that
group together or help bridge the gap in what the

(31:23):
ACC is paying out as compared to the Big ten
or the SEC.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
So I love it.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
I've loved every interaction I've ever had of Brett or
Mark if anyone met him, he would strike you as
the type that really is trying to progress and trying
to protect what is the Big Twelve for now, what
that conference, those teams will be, and make sure those
schools aren't left behind. So if you're in a lum
of any of those schools right now in the Big Twelve,
I would say this, you've got somebody who's working extremely
hard to make sure you are still a part of

(31:53):
college sports, college football in particular, in a big way.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
Yeah, it's gonna be fun to watch out and we'll
get to see who you just does start the name
of the hat. But it is Two Pros and a
Cup of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio. Coming up
next here from those Tirek dot com studios, we are
going to have a Friday tradition some over unders and
it's yours right here on FSR.

Speaker 9 (32:11):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
Oh isn't this guy degenerate gambler?

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Is this Bruno Mars Are you're playing right now?

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (32:28):
Yeah, it makes me like him more.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Relatable.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Yeah, me is like that. That's that's a guy who's
got a problem. Like he's uh, he's probably got like
a lotto scratchers sitting around everywhere, already used in his car,
but he's got like a real problem. Reportedly, I don't
want to make any reckless allegations because they aren't allegations,
they're acceptances. Like I just accept him for who he is.

(32:55):
Gamble away. By the way, speaking of gambling, here on
two pros and a cup of Joe. If you missed
it earlier, our old friend live bet Jesus appeared and
he did make a pick on the US Open. He's
got Chess Hadley beating Adam Spenson and Mark Hubbard. I'm
a fifth hole at Pinehurst, if I'm not mistaken. They're
currently on. Yeah, they're on the They just finished the

(33:18):
second hole, going to the third, so we'll get to
track that.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Did Did you see his shot on the first hole?

Speaker 6 (33:25):
No, I can't because we have that on in the studio.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
What happened?

Speaker 1 (33:30):
So his this is actually Mark Hubbard's shot. It landed,
It landed and hit probably six inches.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
From the hole.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
He almost holed out and it rolled and spun all
the way back off the green.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Oh good, Oh yeah, ten to fifteen yards.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
So when golf fans talking about how difficult the course is,
it's playing extremely difficult. I get that. I play golf.
I'm not trying to I'm just saying it's okay to
have a really difficult course every once.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
In a while.

Speaker 6 (33:58):
Yeah, it's fun.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
It can't be miniature golf, all right. I mean, like,
I love miniature golf, but you got you gotta make
this a little bit more uh more troubling for these guys.
A little bit more is there like a happy media?
Would Augusta National be like the middle, like to where
it's not too difficult but not too easy either.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
No, Augusta's really hard, Okay, I wouldn't. I wouldn't classify
that as that at all. By the way, I just
like seeing these guys a bat a little.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Bit of adversity.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
Yeah, you know, I'm with you.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
I mean, it's tough when you've.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
Got a sport where a hangnail can really throw a
wrench in the entire round.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
I'm with you, man, Listen, tell me about it, all right.
So a reminder top of next hour. Also we're going
to get into the nuts and bolts as to why

Time to put your money where your mouth is.

Speaker 5 (34:58):
I have been losing Ryan Lowlife gamble with the Genus.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
It's over under all, right Lee to lap?

Speaker 6 (35:05):
What do we got last week?

Speaker 5 (35:06):
Last week was an interesting one. We all correctly predicted
the under for Game two of the NBA Finals between
the Maps and Celtics. It was at two fourteen and
a half. Boston won that game one o five to
ninety eight. Jonas and Brady, you guys correctly took the
under on Oilers at Panthers in Game one. It was
at five and a half. Florida won that game one
three nothing.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
Yeah screw you, Var, Yeah take that far?

Speaker 5 (35:26):
Yeah, Var, guys. We had the conference Championship on Fox
between the San Antonio Bramas and the Saint Louis BattleHawks
in the UFL. Bramos won that game twenty five to fifteen,
hitting the under. Jonas and Brady again, you guys correctly
predicted the under f you var No, yeah, guys. Belmont
Stakes winner was Dornick. He was the sixth horse. The
over under was for the winner was at five and

(35:47):
a half. Jonas and LeVar had the over.

Speaker 6 (35:50):
Good job, j I know theme here.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
And then lastly we had the winner at Sonoma and NASCAR.
Kyle Larson took that number five. He was odd and
we know Jonas always takes odds. Yeah, yeah, Brady, you
took the even. LeVar had the odd as well. Uh
so last week, Rarity, I don't know when was the
last time, if ever, this has ever happened. Jonahs went
five and oh what is that?

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (36:17):
God bless you.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
That's how you celebrate Innxico when you go five.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Oh gotcha?

Speaker 5 (36:22):
Okay, yeah, Brady LeVar, you guys went three and two.
So uh we'll go onto this week, guys. We have
games left in the NBA Finals.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
Is at over under one and a half under.

Speaker 6 (36:32):
You could make it a half, I would take the under.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Yeah, it's over.

Speaker 6 (36:36):
I'll take the under, all right, guys.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
How about games left in the Sailey Cup final at one.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
And a half under? What is just a better team? Man?

Speaker 6 (36:44):
We got to talk to Eddie later on about this.
I'll take the over just because I want the over.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
To hit, but can we please talk to Eddie about this?
We need to talk to him the first segment though,
because he you know, okay.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
Yeah uh Fellows Birmingham Stallions versus the San Antonio Brahmas
and the UFL Championship five pm Eastern or on Sunday
on over under forty two under.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
I'll take the over, but.

Speaker 6 (37:07):
I don't like it. Championship game, Yeah, I'll take.

Speaker 5 (37:12):
The over, all right, fellas. Scottie Scheffler currently tied thirty
fourth bet plus one but finishing spot for Scotti Scheffler
at the US Open five and a half.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
Five and a half. I'll take the over, yeah, I'll
say hard course, man, I'll.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
Take the over as well too, all right, fellas, how
about drinks i sneak during the dry wedding ceremony I'm
attending this weekend five and a half. I plan on
at least bringing a few flasks.

Speaker 3 (37:42):
We'll be that dry here, I will over.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
I'll just stick the over.

Speaker 6 (37:51):
I'm gonna take the over.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
Two.

Speaker 6 (37:52):
That's always to say, play with Lee.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
Sneak in a flask into a dry wedding. I'm sneaking
