Let's get this, punies, you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
We go in S s now U S S but
States College s T A T E College college college,
state college college college college long Allen's yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Big time.
Speaker 5 (00:59):
I can't wait.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Yep, go see my fighting in a line. I play
the nitty Lions. That'll be fun. Go Illinois, Man.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
I'm going tomorrow, are you? Yeah? Man? Man has his
last official all.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Right, what did we make in the big announcement? I
don't know when is he doing it? Is he get it?
All right? So let me ask, By the way, Two
Pros and a Cup of Joe Here at Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington, Jonas Knox with you a company live from
the TI rack dot com Studios tire rack dot com.

Tire rack dot com the way tire buying should be
(01:34):
so your son is sought after. The finalists are UCLA,
Tennessee and Penn State to play college football. How is
the announcement going to be done?
Speaker 5 (01:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Does he put on one hat and then throw it
off and put on another?
Speaker 5 (01:49):
You know, I think that's corny, but I don't know.
It's also a.
Speaker 4 (01:54):
Bit disrespectful as well too.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
Well, I mean, I don't know. They've been really good visit.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I mean I think Deshaun wa, Deshaun watch, Deshaun Foster
and and company at u c L a super impressive
what what he's been doing since since taking over the program,
that he definitely has the culture of the place going
in the right direction. Then Coach Hypel at Tennessee, I
(02:24):
mean super impressive. I mean I've never been to Tennessee,
never been to Knoxville. If you ever look up the
amount of dope ass football players that came from Tennessee,
there are a lot. There are a ton of notable,
(02:45):
big name players that have come from out of that program.
And you know, Hypel has has done an excellent job
of the recovery process from when they had some you know,
some tough moments not not too long ago, maybe two
three years ago. What he's doing there is pretty pretty amazing,
(03:06):
super impressive. And obviously, you know, if you know me,
you know how I feel about Penn State. So I
don't know, Man, it's going to be a tough one.
It's going to be a tough one for him because
I think in a lot of ways Tennessee is I
think I think they can be super super competitive, and
it's a it would be a great fit for his
(03:27):
skill set. But I think, you know, looking at looking
at UCLA, he could be I mean, he could be
like the guy for UCLA on defense, you know, the
way the schematically, the way they play, he could be
the guy and their defensive coordinator.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Good. I mean, it's just it's it's going to be hard.
It's going to be hard.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
It's going to be a hard one because if he
chooses anything but Penn State, Penn Staters are going to
feel like they're going to be upset. People are going
to be like, you support our program, you're always here
data DA. So it's good enough for you, but it's
not good enough for your son.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
There's all kinds of different emotions that I'm feeling about it.
But ultimately, he's got to make the decision that's that's
best for him.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Is there a deadline? No to make it? Is there?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I mean, he's going to be an early and roll league.
He's going to graduate early. It'll be done in December,
so he'll go get and rolled wherever it is he
decides to go.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
So I don't know, Maybe he makes the announcement on
November eleven.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Maybe we bring him on the show and he does
the show with us. Yeah, I mean that's a hell
of an idea. He will he be up at this
hour to be able to make the decision.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
I doubt it.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
That'd be pretty sweet if we could get him to
make the decision on the show. That's awesome. All right, Well, listen,
that's something to look forward to. Yeah, I mean I
was thinking November eleventh to eleven eleven. You know, maybe
that would be uh, you know that woul kind of
be an indicator as to where he chooses. But you know,
we'll get to see get to see where man man
gets to go play. Well, it's gonna be fun. It
(05:04):
is two pros and a cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio. Here's what else is fun monitoring the
situation in Cleveland when it comes to a quarterback, Deshaun Watson.
All right, so you mentioned Deshaun Foster. We now transitioned
to Watson, to Deshaun Watson. He's been in the news
for other reasons, both caring.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
One carried a football, another one carried a tao.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
You know, Damn.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
DeShawn hasn't carried the Cleveland Browns team yet though he
has that was waiting on that.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Andrew Berry, the GM of the Cleveland Browns, he spoke
about Deshaun Watson and actually while he was on the
Insiders with the NFL network. UH, he's optimistic about where
DeShawn is at after going through the surgery last season
to try and repair his arm ailments.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
First and foremost, DeShawn has really worked his tail off,
you know, during the rehabilitation process over the past several months.
Speaker 5 (06:00):
He's really actually ahead of schedule.
Speaker 6 (06:02):
He he's really chomping at the bit, uh to take
the governor off, so to speak. But really he's had
a he's had a really nice spring. He's throwing the
ball well, did a really nice job during our seven
on seven in teen periods during this veteran mini camp.
So we're excited as he gets into into training camp
and we get the pads on. But he's he's making
(06:24):
excellent progress. And honestly, if you didn't know he got
hurt last year, you really wouldn't be able to tell
the difference. So we're we're very excited once uh, once
camp starts.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
So that was Andrew Barry Brown's Jim talking about the
status of Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
You know what's the most the coolest thing about sports
is that you can say all those things you're going
to find out, Yeah, like you can't put all like
it's it's it's it's an interesting question to answer to yourself.
Do you tell the truth, do you embellish the truth,
(06:59):
or do you just lie? And regardless of whatever it
is that you do, you should probably ultimately give yourself
some space and some room for plausible deniability. You know,
you you just want to be able to say, listen,
that's that's what we felt. That's what we thought, that's
(07:19):
what it looked like, That's what we hoped for it
to be. It just didn't turn out that way. Or
I told you, I told you so, those are the best.
I mean, nobody likes it. I told you so person,
you know, because it just comes across as like, you know,
it's unnecessary, but you'd rather be a I told you,
I told you this was going to happen with Deshaun Watson.
(07:41):
I told you he was looking good. I told you
he had a strong spring. I told you that's what
they're looking for in Cleveland, and they really really need
it in a lot of ways. One because if he
can play at the caliber and the level that he
was playing at at one point in Houston, you you,
you would have to believe that this Cleveland Browns team,
(08:01):
with all the other talent that they have on.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
The roster, is really in great position to do something well.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yes, the north right, yes, but if he doesn't, if
it's a well we thought he was, or we hope
that it was what we thought it was, and it
doesn't turn out that he continues to play or makes
it through the season, or is impactful with the way
that he plays, it's always going to come back to
the fact that they negotiated against themselves. They gave out
(08:30):
one of the most outrageous contracts that's been ever done
in the history of the league, fully guaranteed, and your
ROI on him has been minimum at best. If that's
where they end up, that's a hard one. That's a
hard one to grasp. It's a hard one to digest,
(08:50):
especially if you are that fan base, because you can't
Deshaun Watson is a topic for Cleveland Brown's fans and
the community that just doesn't It's not going to go
away easily. There's going to have to be someone that
answers for that decision. If he doesn't, if he doesn't
(09:11):
pan out, I would assume.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
So we've talked about this before.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
The best ability is availability, correct, that's what they say,
all right, you gave a fully guaranteed contract to a
guy whose biggest issue has been availability, Like he like
twice in his career, he started every game in a season.
Other than that, there's injuries, there's you know, suspensions because
(09:41):
of the weird stuff that was going on in his
personal life. Like there's always something that pops up and
I look at it and I go all right, Well,
if you just base your projection on what this season
is going to look like strictly on what you know
to be a fact about Deshaun Watson's career, He's going
(10:01):
to miss time. At the very least, he's going to
miss some time, which is why I look at it
and I go, yeah, we're going to see Jameis Winston
at some point. And when Mary Kay Cabot, who I know,
you know, we're big fans of her work here on
this show, and she's been pretty spot on about the
entire situation and what happens in Cleveland.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
Okay, but.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Ain't that wild?
Speaker 5 (10:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Man?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
But she was the one to point it out on
a podcast a few weeks ago that said, look, they're
at the point to where, if for whatever reason, he's
not the player they think he is, they're not going
to hesitate sitting him and giving Jameis Winston a shot.
Like they're at that point. And so I just look
at it and I go, as you said, you can
(10:52):
say whatever you want about his development and where he's
at now recovering from the injury, but if we just
go based on everything that we've seen from him, not
only in his time in Cleveland, but also previous to that,
like the odds are he's going to miss time, like
he's not going to be there, which still goes back
to the question of you gave that contract to somebody
(11:15):
who's not a guarantee, like you gave a guarantee contract
to anything but a guarantee. And they're sitting here with
a Super Bowl roster and the biggest question mark they
have is the biggest contract on their team.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Just amazing by far, the biggest contract on their team.
You know, again, that's sports, and make you make high
risk maneuvers, you make expensive maneuvers, sometimes you make inexpensive
I mean, think about it.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
It's the total opposite.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
In Pittsburgh, right Like, you got two quarterbacks that you
could easily do whatever you you know, you could discard them,
you could keep them, you could whatever.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
They're literally paying a six pack rolling rock and some
funions for Justin Fields and.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
Russell Wilson together, put together whatever.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
It works, and and and yet you'll get probably in
theory you could possibly get more production from both of
those quarterbacks than what you get from Deshaun Watson.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
I would make that bet right now. I would make
that bet right now the Steeler Steelers get better quarterback
play out of whoever they got going than Deshaun Watson
this year.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Dang, I mean think about that, and and and for
what it's worth, he has the opportunity to turn it around, right,
Like that's the beauty of sports as well, is you
can have non believers and what it is that you're
capable of doing, and you can you can dictate what
(12:52):
the outcome is. It doesn't have to rest on the
fact that I'm sitting here or you're sitting here. We're saying, Okay,
I don't have any type of belief that Deshaun Watson
is going to ever be the type of quarterback that
led to him getting the contract that he received in Cleveland.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
You're saying that you make the.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Bet that that there's going to be more production from
the quarterback out of Pittsburgh, whichever one it is that's
getting it. I'm sad you could possibly get both quarterbacks
having more production, Like both of them may have more
production during the course of the season, just based off
of if you think that Deshaun Watson is going to play.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
So and you you have said this and you've maintained this,
You don't think he wants to play.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
I just you just I mean, he's very nonchalant, and
so it could be a misinterpretation, it could be a
misread of of what his desire level is. But the
way he looked in the games, and how he talked
and and and just his response to to how certain
(13:59):
things unf just to me, I got the vibe that he,
you know, if I can play, I can play. If
I can I can't, And if that's if that's where
you're at, then you're you're not really in it. You're
not you're not really really in it. So I don't know.
I mean, we're gonna find out, that's the thing about it.
(14:20):
We're going to find out if he doesn't, if he
doesn't play much this season, I think it's safe to
say Deshaun Watson doesn't want to play football.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Man that first game Brown's Cowboys with Tom Brady on
the call, I would. I can't wait to see what
the ratings are for that game when it comes out,
because there are so many reasons to watch that, like
Deshaun Watson, to see how he performs, you know, in
this season is obviously a big storyline. Dak Prescott going
(14:52):
into basically his final year as a Cowboys quarterback. Potentially
that's a big storyline. Plus it's the Cowboys. And then
on top of that, Tom Brady calling his first game
of the regular season for Fox. That is that is
a monster game, and it'll be interesting to hear what
he has to say about those quarterbacks because he's not
gonna pull punches.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
He's definitely not. He's definitely not. So it's gonna be
interesting to hear. Yeah, because I'm very critical at times
and it could almost come across as very negative, But
in reality, I just give my my observations, and my
observations doesn't lead me to a super crazy positive prognosis
(15:33):
as to what you're going to get from the Deshaun
Watson experience as as a Cleveland Browns quarterback. That's just
not where I'm at in my mind space of why
you know what to expect from him.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
I just don't. I don't see it.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here

(17:18):
okay crimea river? Yeah? Or drink me a river?
Speaker 5 (17:23):
Cauch what it definitely is.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
However, it involved fluids liquids and then had an alcohol
concentration that had him higher than the legal limit.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
My favorite part of that story is that friends showed
up on the scene and talked to cops about trying
to cut them a brake, and they were like, no, no,
we're snug gonna We're not gonna do that. Don't think
we're gonna do that. And there's another report that came
out that said, despite his dwi rs, Justin Timberlake will
be appearing at his concert in Chicago.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Well, yeah, saw how we handle things in Valhalla happen.
We got to keep the thing going on, you know
what I mean? Like, well, you guys, he ain't driving there.
I know that you guys think that y'all could just
be above the law and just do whatever it is
y'all want to do. We're here to show you that

Speaker 5 (18:27):
Damn We're gonna find all. We're gonna find out all
about that sexy back.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
Dang again. I said, like, well, listen, you know that's.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Gonna come for you one day and the squirrel Master
won't be.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
There to be here to protect you.
Speaker 8 (19:00):
Give me a cocktail.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
I don't get anybody that gets that gets induced these days.
I've said it, there are so many options. Man. Back
in the day when I remember going out to the bars,
there was no there were no cabs around, there was
no uber. It was either you had to get a
ride or you used your chevro legs. That was it.
Like you were car pooling. Somebody had to be d d.
(19:30):
You literally press a button on your phone and you're
you're safe.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Right, is still get in trouble though, Like guys like Lee,
they could still get in trouble for public intoxication. It
could be so far far along, you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (19:43):
Yeah, But like I mean, what what what?
Speaker 1 (19:45):
What really is I'm struggling today? Maybe it's because I
was drinking yesterday. Well, this is yesterday was the first
time I've gone poolside at my house in a while.
I took mister Sticks into the water. I introduced the
water yesterday. He didn't like it. Yeah, I gotta figure
out how to teach him how to swim. But but
(20:08):
I had some tequila yesterday myself. And I'm sitting there.
I'm sitting here wondering why is my like, why is
my modem on a leg right now? Like? Why am
I loading? Like I'm not sharp right now? I'm not
I'm not loading quickly, you.
Speaker 5 (20:21):
Know, sundrained.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Man.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
That might be what it is. Tequila. Yeah, and and
I and it might have snuck up on me because
we had, uh, this big, big thing of fresh pineapples
in there, like freshly cut pineapple, and I was blending them.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
I was blending it.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
With the tequila and some lime and ice in a
little bit of water.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
That's what it is got to be.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Because I just don't feel at my best today, Like
I don't feel super sharp, right. I mean, this is
my Friday. Yeah, it's my friday. This is my football
friday right now. So you know you look great. I'm
gonna get through it the best I can. If somebody
is listening and they're like, you know, LeVar sucks today,
You're probably right, You're accurate. They're like, I won't agree
(21:16):
with you every day, I mean, but today I might
agree with it.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
It's also getting warm all over the country, and so
I think people are but.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
It just hasn't been here.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Yeah, I think people are out of shape to the
idea of like, oh it's actually pool weather, pool season.
Now we get and you just you got to work
into it. And so you got to, you know, develop
a routine, lots of water before you go out to
the pool.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
And then you just start. I wasn't even planning on
I went to the gym. I went to the gym yesterday. Yeah,
I wasn't even planning on sitting at the pool yesterday.
I mean it was like, you know, I don't know.
I had other things, cause it just doesn't California is behind.
Like I was in Tennessee and the weather like you
go outside, instant sweat.
Speaker 5 (21:59):
It was hot, like straight hot.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
It's here, like it's not even like it's not even
California hot. And I lived out in San Gabriel Valley,
like that's supposed to be, you know, like desert hot.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
Yeah, and it's not.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Listen, man, there's nothing better that when it starts getting
warm out before it gets too warm and too hot,
when you're sitting out by the pool, a couple of
throatboats and next thing you know, bro, you were just feeling.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
That's one hundred percent what this is right now. I
didn't throw back a couple. I threw back a couple.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
By the way, I saw a video. Can we look
at there was a high school football team in maybe
it was college. Was it Montana State? It's snowing yesterday
at Montana State's practice, I swear to I think Jim
canton Tory of the Weather Channel retweeted a video of
the coach at Montana State and they were practicing in
(22:52):
the snow like that, Like what world are you living
in that they're practicing in the snow and you're drinking
tequila pineapple by your pool with your dog, Like, what
are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (23:06):
I didn't go out because of the sun. It was
snowing and wyoming.
Speaker 8 (23:12):
Montana State, which by the way, visit quite often. Uh
yeah it is, I'm looking at it. You visit Montana
State quite often.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
I do.
Speaker 8 (23:20):
Why I have friends in Montana State Postman, Montana.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
That's random. It is random.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Well you just saw, well I'm not going to go there.
Well she posted it first posted on Instagram. Yeah, put
on swim it was. It's it's it's when it's pool time.
There's there's swimsuits involved too.
Speaker 5 (23:42):
I'll look at it. Yeah, don't you respect? Thank you? Respect?
All good? Yeah, happened. I mean it's on a public platform.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Yeah, yeah, anyway, that's what it is.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Yeah, I'm throwing off today.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (24:00):
I smoked a big cigar to Lee.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
How many throat boats did you have yesterday?
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Couple? I smelled, dude, you had more than what I had.
Speaker 8 (24:11):
Was quality yesterday, quality over quantity.
Speaker 5 (24:14):
So you can't smell low quality. You can smell quality, though.
Speaker 8 (24:18):
I think you can't to me, I mean, and.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
It made me take a self self evaluation of where
I'm at currently. I might still be faded right now, man,
Like now I'm really thinking about it. Maybe I'm still
messed up. I mean, I went to early, but smelling
Lee made me like take self inventory where I'm at
right now currently.
Speaker 9 (24:45):
Physically, we should get a breathalyzer in the studio. It
really should know he got what he was he was
got on today. Today is my Friday. What was your excuse?
Speaker 5 (24:59):
Lee? We saw the house.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
Sitting down the street, and I have a pretty good
liquor cabinet.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
So you love going in people's liquor cabinets dead or alive.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
And it's such an old fashioned term to the liquor cabinet.
I don't even know if anybody that calls it a
liquor cabinet anymore.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
Oh man, well I'm going to do it again today.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah, And speaking of happy Juneteenth out there to everyone,
by way, let me throw it out. Make sure I
put that out there, Happy Juneteenth. I was planning on
taking today off.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
What happened. I came in to work save here far
You're right, I mean what it is. It is a
It is a holiday.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Because I don't have a life.
Speaker 5 (25:52):
There is a holiday. There's a holiday that I respect.
Save here. It's a holiday that I respect.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
But Jonas Knox's ass wants to work all the god
dang time. Since this is our show and you have
to invest in your show, I decided to forego taking
my company holiday off and coming in and doing this
show with you.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
I mean, listen, you know, my my home environment. This
is the only time I get to speak English, So
I mean I had to take Oh my god, so
what do you for me?
Speaker 1 (26:26):
That's that's that's knock number two. First we was fixing
whips earlier. Now it's the English now speaking English, the
native tongue, your native tongue on.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
It's at work, you know. The the noises that come
out of Noxico are are quite interesting. It's either monster
truck engines or uh Mexican soap operas. You know, Telenovella's
just is what it isn't.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
Don't forget the hell. Mary's hell, Mary's in there.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Jus, there's you gotta be careful, all right. So it's
two pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. So, if you are a big fan of
drama in the NFL, there's one franchise that has provided
a lot of it. That franchise is the New York Jets.
We know the Aaron Rodgers situation. We still don't know
exactly what the hell is going on with him and
(27:22):
what retreat he's at, or whether or not it is
an ayahuasca retreat with Some people have said that's that's
the way this is trending. That's the information is going
to come out.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Whatever it is.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
We'll get more on that from Albert Breer, because I
feel like Albert knows something and he's not being honest
with us. So we get to talk to him tomorrow
and see what's going on with that. But there's also this.
The other no show at mandatory mini camp for the
Jets last week was Hassan Reddick. Hassan Reddick, who was
traded to the Jets from the Eagles.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
Yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Get a contract, great player, hell and so you know,
he gets dealt there and they were like, oh, well,
you know he's not with us, and they're he's not
at camp because he's trying to get a new contract done.
He wants an extension. He wants to get all that
taken care of. But according to Rich Semini, who's covered
the Jets for a long time, he spoke with Andrew
(28:20):
Estein on twelve sixty The Score and he said that
Reddick was also okay with the Jets' stance on the contract.
The Jets were telling him their stance that we aren't
going to shut the door on an extension, but we'd
rather wait until after the season. You have a great
season and you will cash in big time with us,
(28:41):
if not somewhere else. And apparently asan Reddick told the
Jets that he was okay with that, but then is
now renigged on that and is no longer no longer
okay with that, and that's why he's not shown up.
So basically he lied to the Jets. That's the story
that he lied to the Jets about being okay with
where the contracts, and now he's not and he's completely
(29:03):
done a one eighty on his stance when it comes
to his contract. Uh oh, So I see that, and
I go, well, whose side would give rich Semini? Who
I'm not doubting his credibility. He's been doing this a
long time. He's really good at it, Like whose side
would give that side of the story to rich Samani
to go public with this and be okay to go public.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
With somebody from the front office of the New.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
York of course, And then it goes back to what
Aaron Rodgers said months ago. We've got to stop the
leaks and all the other crap that is coming out of.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
Our organization because it's a it's a culture it's a culture.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
One hundred and it's the same story with them all
the time. Like so Rogers is right, and you can
argue that Rogers is also part of the drama that
is the New York Jets, but this existed before him,
and the fact that the organization is going to a
media member to say, by the way, this is where
(30:02):
we're at with the son Reddick as opposed to let's
discuss this behind the scenes. We'll try and figure out
a way we can get this done. But when you
go to somebody publicly and say he lied to us,
and that's where we're at when it comes to his
relationship is ruined.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
It's pretty much ruined already before you even got started.
Speaker 4 (30:19):
We're not even a fourth of July.
Speaker 5 (30:21):
It's ruined already.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
It's's unbelievable, you know, those are these are all things
that should be handled internally and quietly. Even just the
idea of saying, yeah, Aaron Rodgers isn't here. It's unexcused,
you know, but we talked about it. It's it's just
the way things are done in New York are so
(30:47):
ass backwards and the way that it's done it, I mean,
the way they handle things with Zach Wilson, the way
they handle the business that takes place internally. This is
just the latest example of why you can see a
team I mean and again I lived it.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
Like you see all.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
This talent on one team, and it's like, there's no
way that this team shouldn't be better than what it is,
and then you can't really put a finger on or
really think you can positively identify why the team underachieves
year in and year out. It's the culture, man, it's
the culture. It's not it's not a healthy culture. I
(31:29):
don't know where it starts from. I don't know if
it's the owner. I don't know if it's someone that's
just above the owner, or I mean below the owner.
I don't know, if it's a friend of the owner.
It starts from the top, and and that decay and
that that way of not operating out a high level.
Speaker 5 (31:49):
It works its way down. It works its way down through.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
The administrative offices, you know, the corporate side of things.
It works its way into the locker room with the
town and the guys that are the players. It goes
into the training rooms. It's it's in the weight room.
It's just it's bad culture. And the New York Jets
(32:12):
is a bad culture organization. And I know that for
a fact because I know multiple people who have played
for that team that have no problem talking about how
how messed up it is internally at that place. And
and and until that is addressed, you're going to continue
(32:34):
to hear weird ass stories like this one on Hassan Reddick,
or weird ass stories about what's going on with Aaron Rodgers.
But we don't know what's going on with Aaron Rodgers,
but they're on the same page and they're comfortable about it,
even though it's not an excused absence. You're going to
keep hearing all of these these weird stories pop up,
(32:54):
and then all of a sudden you're in the season,
and then you're trying to figure out why this New
York Jets team with so much talent continues to come
up short every single year.
Speaker 5 (33:05):
Just what it is?
Speaker 4 (33:06):
It's crazy, man, just as it's Jets football. Baby, it
is back and we're not even at training camp.
Speaker 5 (33:13):
How do you see this?
Speaker 1 (33:13):
How do you see this ending with with Hassan Reddick,
that's what's being leaked.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
How do you see this playing out?
Speaker 4 (33:20):
I I mean I can't imagine it goes smoothly like
like like babe, like Rich. So Rich medi goes on
his podcast and says, yeah, he lied to the organization.
If I'm a player, first of all, why are those
conversations between me and the team being discussed by somebody
(33:42):
else outside of us?
Speaker 5 (33:43):
Two?
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Why why are they being discussed the details of those conversations?
And if you are feel so strongly about it that
you're going to somebody else to tell the public that
I lie in New York media republic like that, that
is the epitome of burning a bridge and burning a career.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
That's like almost like entrapman, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
It's just I don't know, Like listen, I'm optimistic that
the Jets are are going to be much improved this year,
but man, we're not even at at July, and there's
already like bad things happening, Like there's already problems, Like
I just and there's nobody else that it would benefit
(34:30):
for this story to get to Rich Simini's podcast other
than the Jets, So you know where this came from.
And and if I'm a son Reddick, I'm looking around
going wow, really like I don't know that this happened
in Philly while I was there. I don't recall this
happening elsewhere, but it does with the Jets. It's just
it's crazy man. Two Pros and a Cup of Joe

There are some good things that happen, and there's some bad,
and then there's some downright ugly things. It's time for good,
bad and ugly.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
All right, lead the lab, who's got what well?
Speaker 8 (36:13):
As we do each and every week, we start with
the good and it normally would have been a great
week because it would have been Brady. But no Brady
this week, so it's me all right, Oh, yes, give
us you're good.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
I'll give you my good.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (36:25):
Well there's there's no more basketball, there's no more hockey.
Well there is hockey, there is hockey. Yeah, good for that.
But you know what, it is also good for a
movie theater season because uh less sports inside out one
hundred and fifty five million, best opening weekends since Barbie
last year. So good news for the movie theaters.
Speaker 5 (36:46):
Go see a movie out.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
By the way, always good air conditioning in a movie theater.
Speaker 8 (36:49):
Yeah, get go check out, put your phone down, watch
a movie.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yeah, big time now when's the last time Lee, you
saw a movie without a cocktail?
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Never?
Speaker 8 (37:01):
I can't tell you that.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Never, not even when I was a kid.
Speaker 8 (37:06):
You know, you know, I went on a date the
other day and the girl she's like, I'm gonna go
to the bathroom. She came back with a cocktail. I
was like, oh yeah, west Keeper, Oh yeah, all right,
yeah boy, what a difference. What a difference to human
being makes? Huh double too?
Speaker 5 (37:24):
It was great?
Speaker 4 (37:26):
What else we got?
Speaker 5 (37:27):
All right?
Speaker 8 (37:28):
Can't have good without the bad?
Speaker 4 (37:29):
Bar?
Speaker 5 (37:29):
What was bad this week?
Speaker 1 (37:33):
I mean, should I say the basketball game? I mean,
obviously it's bad because well, we wanted to probably see
a more competitive NBA Finals.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
It wasn't competitive. I felt as though the.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Weekend game made things seem like it was fixed and
rigged to get back to Boston, and just as whole,
true to form, they spanked them in Boston to get it.
I thought Wiler was good for the Boston Celtics. I
thought it was bad for the NBA and it's bad
for sports fans that we didn't get a better NBA finals.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
Yeah good good, let him know, let him have it.
Speaker 5 (38:13):
Yeah, it felt like it was strange.
Speaker 8 (38:16):
Yeah, it was yeah, go ahead, great and from bad
to worse, Jonas, what was ugly this week?
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Rory McElroy losing the US Open. He had it there,
missed that putt. There's a lot of people are going
to criticize him for not talking to the media or
the way he handled it afterwards and all that. Oh
he choked again, he choked again. No, let's not bury
the lead here, all right. Lorena had Roy McRoy to
win the tournament, and I had money on him to
win the tournament. That's the most important thing. Just an
(38:45):
ugly performance.
Speaker 5 (38:46):
Lorena comes to work with Tim Piers of pants On Too,
