some hooligan went into the system and took out the

Speaker 4 (01:23):
I think.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
Because I felt like that was deliberately done. So yeah,
well it was not.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Because we're still trying to get to the bottom of it,
and Brady knows something and he's not fessing up to it,
and it's a little bit disturbing. You know, somebody knows
something here, and I just want to know what happened.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
I mean, nothing happens by hap a stance on this
on this show, So yeah, I mean, I mean somebody's
behind it.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
What I know is that there was supposed to be
a change of song at some point for all of us,
and I don't know. I mean, Jonas for some for
some reason, your song hasn't changed yet.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Still, I mean, I don't know what to do. I'm
torn because people want it. They want to contend. I
don't want to. I don't wanna. I don't want to
disappoint you.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Just want to watch Coop dance. When the start of
the show. I mean, it is dope and Eddie I
mean and Lorena.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
I mean, everybody's in on it takes close off. Well
he does, no, he doesn't do that, but he does
enjoy it. I mean, yeah, it's all right, somebody did it,
but you know it's Jonas.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Stop. I have no saying any of this stuff.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Now stop.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Yesterday we did uh fill in for the Herd with
Colin Cowhard. We filled in yesterday, so.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
You know we had coming back on that.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Well they dumped it.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
You're fine, but they know what I said it, you know, which.
I didn't feel like it was egregious at all. I
didn't feel like there was any beef connected to it.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
It is interesting being in a different time slot. I
mean just from the behind the scenes. The timing elements
are different. Oh, the bottom of the hour will catch
us sometimes.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
The cloud it is different too. Q I mean in
the studio was like everybody was there was dang, it's
like a show.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Fat chance getting at four in the morning. Nobody's in
here except for us. Yeah, and then you come in
at at nine in the morning and.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
Then there was people in there, you know. Yeah for
one show. They were there for the show. They were
spectating our show.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, just hanging out everybody. Yeah, just just wanted to
see They wanted to get a glimpse of Stick City
in person, and so h you know that'll be ten
Why is ten dollars or what? It was very passive,
that's not listen, I'm just speaking the truth here on
this show. That's all now. That being said. That being said,
(04:02):
I felt like we did do the show a solid
yesterday because we talked cowboys all right, we talked lebron
like it was like every food group was represented on
that show. As far as playing we talked to Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 6 (04:19):
By design, right, I'm not I'm not I'm not taking shots.
I'm just saying there's certain shows, especially this time of year,
that's what they lean on and that's maybe what the
audience wants. Like this, as you said, there's ten people
standing there watching.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Maybe there's a.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Lot of research and data that goes into that. We
try to stay topical. But yeah, I felt like we
were forced into having talked about subjects.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Let me ask when you're doing that, when you guys
are getting ready for big noon, like, is there certain
like does the production crew like let you guys know, like, hey,
we've got to make sure we talked Dion here. We've
got to make sure we talk OURBA here, Like there's
got to be something to that as well. Like there's
no like we.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Get to talk about what we want to talk about,
you know, and we and we talk for a while.
If something is controversial, how we want to go about
handling that. But we'd like to keep it all football.
We'd like to keep it all fun. But we're never
forced to talk about something we don't want to talk about. Now,
there might be a game that other guys aren't as
(05:27):
high on, so they'll be like, hey, can you take
that game or do you talk about that game? I'd
rather talk about this game. There's there's elements like that
in the show, but there's never a time when it
produces like you have to talk about this or this
is what the audience. It's never that, I mean because
that kind of takes care of itself, right, Like if
(05:47):
Coach Prime is a story, like we're going to be there.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
We were there last year for like a month.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
I almost bought property in Denver again. I was like,
I might as well just buy a place and move.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
In out how many games you guys got this year
with Colorado any guarantee, have you locked up anything?
Speaker 4 (06:02):
I played the fifth okay, hm.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
So, so I would just generally say that that we
are never when we're fortunate in that respect, because I'll
put it this way, not all networks are built the same,
and I could tell you how Fox is building.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
They don't force you to talk about anything.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
So, because we talked about the Cowboys yesterday, I did
have a follow up on the Mike McCarthy story, which which,
by the way, uh so all that.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
To say, well, I saw all of that to say,
and we talked to c about how they handled it.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
Might have to talk about anything.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
I was I was thinking about this. I was thinking
about this last night. So the story that came out
from Tyler Dunn was that Mike McCarthy reportedly is fed
up with Jerry Jones and just sort of I guess
the circus that's going on there in Dallas. So my
my question to you guys would be this, I was
thinking about this. If this wasn't true, wouldn't you think
(06:56):
Mike McCarthy at some point, you know what I mean?
Like I don't know if he's on social media, but
is there a way for Mike McCarthy to be like, man,
that's my owner. I'm not trying to cause any problems.
Let me just go ahead and let everybody know this
is not true despite whatever these sources have said. Yet
you know, nothing's come out, nobody's pushed back on it,
(07:16):
nobody's denied it, nobody's and I just think this adds
to another storyline that Jerry Jones is going to have
to answer questions about and Mike McCarthy when they get
to Oxnard for training camp coming up in a couple
of weeks. But the fact that nobody's pushed back on
it or said oh no, no, no, this is you know,
that's all a bunch of crap. To me, that just
(07:38):
that that tells me that, well, you know, maybe Mike
McCarthy's not all that bond that that story got out.
And then there is some legitimacy too.
Speaker 5 (07:45):
Some people say starve gossip though, you know, while I
think that there is legitimacy to it coming out from
sources within the organization, which we've We've had this conversation
as times about the New York Jets and and how
that can be a culture crippler. Maybe they're just taking
(08:09):
the approach of starving the gossip. Maybe maybe it wasn't
intended to get out. Maybe it isn't something that you know,
the Joneses you know, are a part of, or Mike
McCarthy is is a part of. I mean, maybe he
doesn't really feel as though he's being undermined by the
Jones family and that he's fed up with it. Maybe
(08:32):
that's not. Maybe it's not. Maybe it's embellished a bit
much and he didn't feel as though he needed to
address it.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
I wonder, I mean nothing against Tyler Dunn, but what
was a one foot down? Is that the day of
the uh his blog post? Maybe they don't feel like
it's is it really what one foot down or whatever
their golong tak? I mean, yeah, I think that's like
a college blog site.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Is it really? Yeah? I think so? Yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:05):
I mean I wouldn't think about sports when I think
with one foot down.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
But it's like one foot like down and bounds kind
of thing. I think.
Speaker 6 (09:13):
Anyway, whatever you said it was yesterday coming from maybe
they don't feel like it's credible enough to want to
address it, and maybe they would rather see where this goes. However,
I mean, Tyler Dunn's well respected that's why some of
the different aggregators picked it up. They started to run
with that story and talk about it. But maybe maybe
they don't care. You know, at this point, the Dallas
(09:34):
Cowboys are the most valued franchise in sports, so they
might look at it and say, yeah, that's it is
what it is, just drama going in the season, so
be it. You know, we do have a lot on
the line, and maybe we're okay with him having to
deal with that sort of pressure.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Do you think if this came out last off, or
if this came out a couple of months back or
a few months back, and it was right after the
year and it turned out that McCarthy was fed up,
do you think they would have just pulled the trigger,
fired him and hired dan Quinn as the head coach,
and just made the move before he went to Washington.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
I would say yes.
Speaker 6 (10:11):
However, again, we tend to judge a book oftentimes by
how it ends. I mean, how often do we ever
look at the entire body of work. Dan Quinn was
phenomenal over the entire body of work while was in Dallas.
That being said, it ended like every season in the
(10:32):
last few years for Dallas it was disastrous. Green Bay
came in there, and I don't know that the defense
ever really got it together. I mean maybe the second half,
but it felt like green Bay played more conservative, but
they torched them, I mean absolutely lit them up, and
you know, Dak and the offense started to pick things up,
(10:53):
but again, green Bay got conservative at every capacity, defensively
and offensively at that point. So again, as much as
we want to look back and go, yeah, he just
would have slid right it in him. Like the defense
didn't show up either. I mean, no one showed up
for a home playoff game. It was It's wild. I mean,
go back, go back through the ending of each of
(11:15):
the last three seasons, go back through the endings.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
It has been crazy. When you think about every single
year the last.
Speaker 6 (11:23):
Three years, they've had arguably the worst ending to a
season of any team in the NFL, granted in the playoffs.
And there's something to be said for that, because you
do have to acknowledge that Mike McCarthy has brought this
team now to a perennial playoff team.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
It's just what they can.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Do once they get there, because that's the standard that
Jerry Jones is looking for. That's why they brought Mike
McCarthy in the first place, was to go win a
super Bowl because of his pedigree and Green Band.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Hadn't won a super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (11:52):
So that's the tough thing about it is, you know,
as much as you want to say, like, yeah, yeah,
he was suppsed to slid right in, I don't know, man,
everyone had to sour taste them out after that loss.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
I'm gonna say this, and i know I've been getting
labeled a hater lately. I just feel like I've just
been shooting shooting it real from the hip, and I'm
gonna do it once more.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
You have a.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
Team that isn't an elite accomplishing team. I think it's
safe to say that. I think we know that they
have a quarterback that is a second tier elite. I'll
give him elite, but I'll say second tier. He's not
a first tier elite quarterback in this league. When you
(12:38):
say first tier being an Aaron Rodgers or Patrick Mahomes,
I'm not putting Dak Prescott in that category.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
I'm just not.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
You have a super elite defend defender and Michael Parsons,
and maybe you do have some guys that you know
the Trayvon Diggs will see how he you know, pans
out coming back from his injury. You have some guys
that you can talk about on the defense. But all
(13:09):
in all, you know, if if Jerry Jones and the
Jones family aren't keeping things going within the media, as
we highlighted, they have different spots him and his son
Steven have different spots on radio shows during the course
of the week. If they're not driving drama, if they're
(13:30):
not selling drama, why, like, why else do we care
about talking about Dallas? Like imagine I could see us like, Okay,
Travis Kelsey was just on stage. Now he's doing the
rounds with what's her name again?
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Taylor Swift?
Speaker 5 (13:50):
Taylor Swift. He's doing his rounds with Taylor Swift again.
You know who knows what?
Speaker 4 (13:55):
Does? Does? Patrick Mahomes?
Speaker 5 (13:57):
I would think that we would be more inch in
finding out what's going on in the off season with
an elite team like the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
What's what's Andy Reid doing right now?
Speaker 5 (14:10):
I'm curious what the hell right now would Andy Reid
be doing with his life right now? I would be
curious to know about that. So in a way, I
almost feel like, you know, Mike McCarthy should be happy
that that Jerry Jones and company know how to keep
(14:31):
you know, his name in people's mouths. You know, they
should be happy that Jerry Jones knows how to keep
the Dallas Cowboys in their their players' names in people's mouths.
They should be happy because outside of that, the body
of work doesn't say that they should be a play
(14:52):
the Hits type of story in media.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
They're not.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
What's the relevance of the Dallas Cowboys outside of the
drama that takes place within the organizations?
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Since since McCarthy's gotten there, there's only three teams that
have more wins in the NFL?
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Is that regular season? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Regular season?
Speaker 6 (15:12):
Which again it's you've used that stab before, and it's
completely negated by the fact that, like that wasn't what
he was brought in to do.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
I'm not sure that I haven't used that stab before.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
You definitely used that before us wise came off.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
Okay, can you Here's what I want to do. I
want to play a little game care have some game
show music? Is it possibly some game show music?
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Today? Is not too much to ask for? Boy shorts?
Speaker 1 (15:34):
There day all right, you pissed him off.
Speaker 6 (15:41):
Your twenty twenty one regular season into twenty twenty two.
Can you guys describe for me how the Dallas Cowboys
season ended versus the San Francisco fort nine as the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
That was the Elliott get rand Hello, that.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Was they couldn't That was the blame, Kellen Moore, because
they couldn't get a playoff in time.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
Zach correct, Maybe Dak Prescott was part of that. But
with fourteen seconds left on the San Francisco forty one,
where you could have taken a shot definitely, maybe two
to the end zone, right, Instead, Dak Prescott ran up
the middle and unfortunately the game ended with him not
(16:26):
being able to spike the ball in time to stop
the clock. So there was that controversial, surprising call, slash decision.
Put it on Kellen Moore, put it on Dak Prescott, whoever,
But that was how that waned. Now, that was fast forward.
That was at home, right, that was at home.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Yes, that was at home.
Speaker 6 (16:44):
Let's fast forward to the next season again, the Dallas
Cowboys getting balanced in a little tighter affair versus San
Francisco forty nine ers, this time though in Santa Clara LeVar,
would you like to.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
This was the one where Ezekiel Elliott yet literated on
the last but that is correct.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
Past six seconds left the game, the Dallas Cowboys backed up.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
In their own territory around the twenty four yard line.
They decided to run.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
Well, you kind of have to run in this position
where you're gonna have a lot of Yeah, it's a
desperation play, have a lot of skill guys out there.
There are some linemen, but it's a it's a funky formation.
Zeke Elliott's the center, and as Deak Prescott gets the
ball drops back, Zeke Elliott gets absolutely blown up, and
(17:31):
so does Comane Turpin by Jimmy Ward for that matter.
So that is the end of Dallas that season.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Now do you think that that's part of the reason
why z came back because they were like, you know,
we can't have you go out like that. That would
have been your last plage of cowboy. We got to
bring it back and do this right. So now he's
back and he's in the rotation for the Dallas.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Probably probably that's one of them. And then it's past season.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
I'm sure you recant what happened against the green Bay package.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
I think I got it too much. I know, I
know I got it. I think that Dallas got mutilated
by Green Bay and by the time they were able
to formulate anything on offense and get anything going, the
game was already way out of reach. But if you
look at the box score, I think Jake Ferguson had
a monster game and garbage time for the categories.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
So there is an Aaron Jones did them?
Speaker 4 (18:20):
Did it? Them?
Speaker 3 (18:21):
They did it?
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Did it them? Did them? How would you? Scott? You got?
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Did it?
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Did it? You got? Did it? You know? Like an argument?
Did the argument? It got? Did it? Like you know?
D e a d ed past tense? They got? Did it? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (18:39):
Twenty seven to seven at halftime, a gigantic second quarter
by the Green Bay Packers against the Dallas.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
I still believe that game went the way it went.
Like while it was happening, I was like, Nah, it
is just no like they'll figure this out. There's no
way this is happening.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
I couldn't.
Speaker 6 (18:55):
It just got worse, and really it was twenty seven
nothing after a Dak Prescott interception that was returned by
Darnell Savage for a touchdown. So it kind of felt
worse than that, even though Dak let him on a
two minute drive before half for the touchdown to make
it feel closer. But it just there was never really
a point in time outside of the very very end
(19:18):
where Dallas started to creep back. But even then they
only got within I think a couple of scores.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
See, I thought it was the opening kickoff was the
only time they were in the game.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
That was kind of it. Damn.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Jakes Ferguson did have a ten catches ninety three yards
and three touchdowns and none of it mattered. What a
waste of time. I do remember seeing Cowboys. So there
was like a couple like this guy and his goal
were sitting there in just total shock watching the game transpire,
and meanwhile, lead the Lap was just getting mangled watching
(19:51):
the watching his beloved Green Bay Packers taking out yeap. No, listen, man, guys, right.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
How did you just end up board shorts.
Speaker 7 (20:02):
Hot day out here in southern California yesterday?
Speaker 4 (20:06):
So you're wearing what you had on yesterday? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (20:10):
Okay, Like I said.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
I've been, uh you dirty something, I've.
Speaker 7 (20:14):
Been surfing, so you know sometimes.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
You were you really surfing? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (20:19):
No, so so what you're saying is you were in
the ocean with those same shorts on that you have
on right now.
Speaker 7 (20:27):
No, it was couch surfing.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Couch.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Yeah, he got at so he's a.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Couch surfing Okay, I mean all right, I guess that's
a little better.
Speaker 8 (20:41):
Well, boy scout, Yeah, uh, I got dry fit, so
you know they drive, they dry quickly wear them anywhere.
Speaker 3 (20:55):

that's because it's ratchet.

Cool?
Speaker 3 (22:34):
What damn? Coming up here a little over fifteen minutes
from now from the tire rack dot Com Studios, we
are going to have another edition of Would You Rather? Now?
People were pushing for the FSR I R I said no,

it's got to happen here a little over fifteen minutes
(22:55):
from now. So that's the way that's going to work
here from the tire rack dot Com studios.

You don't, I guess know is the answer, and it's
going to come from Jonas. Yep.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Uh no. Lee did throw me a uh a would
you rather during the break that you guys can actually
would be better to answer it because you have personal
experience I do not in either.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
So well then why would we ask it if only
two of them?
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Well, because but you guys have intimate knowledge on both
of these, and so I feel.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
Like it's not that's right there, that's a setup Jonas
and Lee, No, that's not.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
He he brought it up during.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
The break mostly Jonas.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Lee, did I give you that? Would you rather? Did
you walk into the studio with it?
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Always under the bus lead?
Speaker 7 (23:40):
I always walk into the studio with it. Uh yeah,
you never give me a would you rather?
Speaker 3 (23:45):
All right, since we're here, let's just let's just do
this now.
Speaker 7 (23:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
Lee asked me would you rather have a private jet
or a yacht? I've never been on either. You guys have,
so you would be better to answer that question than
I would be.
Speaker 5 (24:01):
I've never had a private jet or yacht, so I
wouldn't be good to all.
Speaker 6 (24:07):
I'd give you a quick answer. I'd say private jet.
You could do more things with it. I mean, like
you can take that private jet from wherever you need
to go and get to wherever you need to go.
If you got a yacht, you don't you have to
be around water and it has to be like the
ocean and gonna be around really a lake.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Yeah, Like, how.
Speaker 6 (24:26):
Are you gonna get that yacht all the way over
the Lake Michigan for example? If you want to go
to Chicago in its.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
Yeah, I'm probably gonna go with Q on this, even
though my my dream purchase is a yacht.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
No.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
But but but what what makes more sense is is
a private But I'll get private jet hours if I
you know, if I were like to make it in life,
you know what I mean? I get that well, I
mean I do that now. I just get I just
get out worse, I just get ours. But I would
love to own and not like the type of yacht
you guys. Maybe I think I've shown you a picture
(25:08):
of the yacht I want to get. It's kind of cool.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
I say, you a yacht a little while ago, and
that one.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Okay, my phone my my batteries did on my phone? Damn. Sorry?
Speaker 3 (25:18):
What would you name your yacht? By the way, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
Too, it's a great question, man, Probably stick City.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
Our original I was just name mind rock. Mm hmmm,
so be yacht rock good? That's play.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
Rock sink. Couldn't that be a bad omen?
Speaker 4 (25:40):
No, only if you bring bad vibes, which it sounds
like you are. I'm just trying to save you. You're
already not invited.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Dang, what about the yacht? What about the yacht wiler?
Speaker 4 (25:52):
But that's not bad, It's not bad.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
Yeah, yeah, it's hard to say it is.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
I mean, if you can say it, it's I think
it works.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Yacht raller, Like, what's a cheap yacht cost? Would you guess?
One hundred thousand dollars? Just for a cheap one like
low end yacht?
Speaker 5 (26:11):
You can get one lower than I mean less than that,
a cheapy one.
Speaker 8 (26:16):
I'm looking at a Wow, this is a bad looking yacht. Uh,
you know, fifty thousand. I don't think this is a yacht.
I see thirteen thousand.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
That's a boat.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
That's not how you can find a yacht? Like how
your boat have to be here? A vessel? You said, vessel.
It took me down a different lane.
Speaker 8 (26:37):
But yeah, damn, a large sea vessel used for pleasure
or recreational purposes.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Exactly, all right.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
We got a transition, all right, let's transition out of heresy.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Days function.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
They need to be big enough for sleeping quarters in
a kitchen.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
I'm saying thirty three or thirty five feet.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
There are yachts without kitchens. That's not true. It doesn't
have to have a kitchen.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
But thirty thirty three feet is the minimum to be
considered a yacht.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Is that what you're saying that I saw, No, that's.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
What you said. You know, I'm not looking this up.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
I can't believe maybe looked this up. But then I
realized he's wearing board shorts, so he's probably.
Speaker 7 (27:27):
Just got off the yacht.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Yeah, exactly, yes he did. All right, so we will
have more of this riveting conversation, another edition of would
you rather coming up here in about twelve minutes from now.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
That's something that I've been a part of.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
So it's not I've never been on a yacht. I've
never been on a PJ. Ever, I didn't even know
what a PJA was until you guys called it that
now we do have the potential of starting quarterback being
announ sometime soon. Here with the Las Vegas Raiders, patal
(28:04):
He finds. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN says that Aidan O'Connell
has a slight edge over Gardner Minshew as they head
into camp.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Now before to said that to you all before.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Okay, well, if that's the case, DraftKings plus one P fifty,
Who's going to be the starter week one for the Raiders?
Gardner Minshew's a minus two hundred, So it feels like
there's some good value in old AOC if he if
he gets to gets to training camp, performs long, gets
to the first first game of the season for the Raiders.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
That's who I assume it will be, is aid and O'Connell.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Do you think they regret getting rid of Derek Carr?
It feels like, you know you, it feels like it's not.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
I don't know. I can't say anythink Roberto will start
chiming in.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
I mean, it'd be a better question for Roberto, but
I think the quick answer is yes. However, even Derek
Carr wasn't good enough for him, so they probably want
They're probably like Roberto would say like, oh, we should
get Patrick Mahmes. It's like, okay, yep, you'll get Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
I mean they did want Michael Pennix.
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Correct, they well, they wanted someone else, but Michael Pennix
would have done.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
Yeah, they want to.
Speaker 6 (29:20):
The backstory there with Antonio Piers Arizona State, Jane Daniels
Arizona State. It makes all make sense, which again and
maybe that's how Raiders fans.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
And our guy Roberto feel. But it didn't work out.
Speaker 6 (29:30):
I mean, even they had they had their opportunity to
get other rookie quarterbacks, they didn't.
Speaker 4 (29:35):
So I don't know, man, I just it's gonna be
a really interesting year for them.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
They still don't have a quarterback. I mean, let's be
real here. If what we're we're not beating around at
least I won't beat around the bush on it. They
they didn't get what their biggest need was in this offseason,
which was to get a quarterback that you knew definitively
would be taking you in the direction that any team
would want to go in, you know, to win. They didn't.
(30:05):
That didn't happen. So, I mean, Gardner Minshew, great story,
cool personality. But is he the guy I think we
know that he's not like that guy that's going to
take your franchise in that direction of Super Bowl contender.
You know, as Aidan O'Connell, that guy. I mean, maybe
(30:26):
he has the opportunity or the possibilities this year, you know,
with a with a pretty pretty decent running running game
that can help him. I mean, and obviously they have
still one of the more elite receivers. It's possible he
could be a little bit more than what he has been.
(30:46):
I mean, he's shown glimpses of being a pretty good guy,
but I'm not gonna I wouldn't go over the edge
and say that he's, you know, the type of guy
that can make them a contender. So you have two
quarterbacks that are serviceable quarterbacks that are going to be
one is going to be your starter. I mean, that's
not You can't say the prognosis of a team, no
(31:10):
matter what the name of the team would be, you
can't say the prognosis should be that of a super
positive one.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
You need it to be eight.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
And O'Connell said he switched from number four to number
twelve because it felt disrespectful towards Derek Carr. So wouldn't
it be disrespectful towards Kenny Stabler that you're switching to twelve?
I mean, what are we doing here? Who gives a rip?
What number Derek Carr wore? Who cares? Like, if that's
the number you want, just where the number you want?
What does it matter? Derek Carr's gone, he's in New Orleans.
(31:40):
Shouldn't matter anymore. Where whatever the hell you want. All Right,
That's the way I see it, And that'll conclude our
preview of the Las Vegas Raiders as we get rid
of the twenty twenty four season.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
That's what we just did coming up.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
Here are any ones you got them getting with those
two at quarterback?
Speaker 3 (31:57):
They're the only team, only team in the division that
doesn't have the quarterback that they.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
Want more need, I said, four man, I don't know
why No.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
One doesn't go after Jamis hm hm, well gonna. I
think I think he'd be better.
Speaker 6 (32:13):
I think it would be a better starting quarterback for
them right now if he's on that roster.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Well, because he's going to be the starter in Cleveland
by about week five, so.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
Totally dang about week five five and then maybe he
can win the Player of the Year award, you know
what I mean. I can't use the other word because
obviously Cleveland using the word that I was going to use,
I get dumped. So I'm not going to do that.
But the way I mean, maybe Jamis could win it.
(32:44):
You know, the Raiders start off the season with three
out of their first five on the road.
Speaker 4 (32:50):
It's not easy. Where are they going? Uh, the first
two are tough. They have to go Chargers and they
gotta play Baltimore in Baltimore. That's really tough. Then if
you got to play a Carolina at home, Oh, that's
a win. They get done. Cleveland at home, that's a
tough one. And then add Denver. I don't know what
(33:10):
you're getting out.
Speaker 6 (33:12):
I don't know either, but that's not an easy place
to found the road at altitude all that either one
and four. You want to Pittsburgh at home at the
Rams versus k C at Cincinnati. Yikes, it's not an
easy schedule. No, it's a tough schedule. That's That's one
of the other things too, besides the quarterback conundrum.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Yeah, but I mean at least we saved them, you know,
the effort like Raider fans having to sit through all
those nine weeks of struggle like they're going to be
one in eight. So if you want to tune back
in in December, go right ahead.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
But there have more wins than that, but it's going
to be a tough, tough road to hoe.
Speaker 3 (33:47):

Well, we got the good one out of the way,
so we got the lesser ones.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
But that's fine. That's only downhill.
Speaker 8 (35:11):
It's only downhill from here, right, which you know some
people think is uh, it's a good thing.
Speaker 7 (35:16):
Okay, toally downhill? Guys, would you rather.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Go downhill or uphill?
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (35:22):
Right, I'd rather go downhill.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
I'd rather go uphill.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
Would you really? Yeah? You would? Why? You know if
you're going somewhere built different? Well? Okay, all right, okay,
go ahead.
Speaker 7 (35:36):
Guys, who would you rather have on your team? Mike
Evans or Marvin Harrison Junior?
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Mike Evans.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
Now Today Today to date, to date? Take I'm gonna
take Marvin Harrison. Now, I don't want to pick. This
is a tough one.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
We don't know if Marvin Harrison Junior is gonna be good.
Mike Evans.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
I think he's gonna be pretty darn good.
Speaker 6 (35:58):
Mans the hell of a career right out of respect.
Out of respect, that'd be on Mike Evans. But I
don't know about that.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Man. That's a tough one. That was good.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
Did you just not answer, I said, Mike Evans, Oh
you did say you lean?
Speaker 8 (36:16):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (36:16):
I said, that's a.
Speaker 6 (36:17):
Tough damn I said, out of respect too, Okay, I
could think it.
Speaker 7 (36:22):
Guys, would you rather have a hole in one or
a perfect game in bullying?
Speaker 4 (36:26):
Hole on one? Perfect game in bowling? Were going to
have a hole in one?
Speaker 3 (36:30):
I was two pins away from a perfect game in bowling.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
I gotta get a bully, That's true.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
I swear to God, gotta get it back. Brunswick Bowl
and Seami Valley back in two thousand and seven, I
hit an eight and a spare on the first frame
and then rolled eleven straight strikes bull to two ninety.
Speaker 6 (36:47):
I would be willing to bet almost anything that you
can never even flirt with over two eighty.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
I probably bet the same thing. To be honest with you,
Like I I'm not very good anymore. And by the way,
when I go with my son, he does really let
me throw the ball like he wants to go every
single time, So I don't really get a lot of practice.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
Sound like that. And he's seventeen.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
Yeah, so there's no no getting out of that phase.
Yeah no, yeah, what else you got?
Speaker 4 (37:16):
Lee?
Speaker 7 (37:17):
Guys?
Speaker 8 (37:17):
Would you rather be uh isolated for your entire for
the rest of your life or no privacy for the rest.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Of your isolated?
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Geez man?
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Isolating?
Speaker 4 (37:28):
I mean, what do you mean? No privacy?
Speaker 6 (37:30):
Like even when you are showering stuff, you don't privacy
the rectioning room, ye, restroom everything, yep.
Speaker 4 (37:36):
What are you living in a glass box?
Speaker 7 (37:37):
Well, I don't know. You got you got the little
ones next to you bugging you.
Speaker 5 (37:40):
I don't know if it's little ones or message. I'm
gonna take what. I'm gonna take that over isolation, isolation,
get old. That'd be tough. No, no, don't, Yes, it
does for a lifetime. Yeah yeah, it would will leave
you met.
Speaker 6 (37:57):
You must love yourself, jonas if you could be isolated
with your self for that long.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
No, I just don't like attention.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Don't I don't either, But you know what, the only
license getting attention and you from yourself.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
I'm just you know, alone with my thoughts doing that.
Speaker 4 (38:12):
Now, what do you mean?
Speaker 3 (38:14):
Okay, you don't listen Saturdays two to four Eastern Time,
eleven am to one pm Pacific.
Speaker 5 (38:20):
No, I'm not talking about that now as in this show.
I'm talking about now as in life.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
Damn take that.
