as a protection and over ten thousand recommended install tire
rack dot com. The way tire buying should be one
of the things that was mentioned. We were talking about
this last hour the trailer for Our Hard Knocks that
came out in which they were discussing the deal to
try and get Brian Burns and Brian Burns and what
(01:17):
it would cost and the Giants were surprised that it
wasn't going to cost as much. There was also some
discussion about Saquon Barkley where apparently Joe Shane, the GM
of the Giants, was asking Saquon if they were going
to give him a chance or whatnot. Saquon Barkley is
said after the fact that the Giants didn't really make
him much of an offer and that's why he ended
(01:37):
up signing in Philadelphia. Either way. You know, it feels
like if there was an opportunity to sign Saquon Barkley,
it had been there for a while and ultimately they
chose to go in a different direction. So, I mean,
we can try and repair that, and you know, point
fingers at who was at fault. They had every opportunity
in the world to try and get a deal done.
(01:58):
They didn't get it done.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I mean, they had plenty of time, plenty of opportunities.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
The reality is is not many organizations value the running
back position the way a team.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Like the San Francisco forty nine ers does. I mean,
whether it's with.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
The Christian McCaffrey contract or even the way they've gone about,
you know, trying to accumulate running backs to add to
the roster that fit their running style and scheme.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
And so it's just they're different in that sense. It
works for them.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
But when you're talking about a Giants team that wanted
to load up on defense and when to focus their
time on acquiring Brian Burns, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
And and a pass catching weapon, even.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
Though Saquon is that they're viewing more things from the perimeter,
not necessarily from the backfield.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
So Lane Johnson, the offensive tackle of the Philadelphia Eagles,
did talk with NFL insiders about the acquisition of Saquon Barkley.
He was a little bit surprised. I think a lot
of people were that he ended up in the division,
stayed in the end to ended up with Philly. Here
was their.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
Ot and once you're saying you'll never forget just you know,
a phisically imposing guy. I think he walks around around
two thirty. You know, he likes the golf. So we've
been golfing with t Thoms. He's ultra competitive. But yeah,
I mean when you see obviously what he can do
at the running back position, and we can flex him
out and receiver and he can you know, he can go.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's really unbelievable. I never thought that he would be
playing for us, but you know, here it is.
Speaker 6 (03:27):
I know that he's excited. We're definitely excited up front,
and yeah, man, I think he's boys for a big,
big year.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
So when you couple that with the fact that they
go out and they signed Saquon Barkley outside of Jason Kelsey,
they brought everybody back this year. And then there's this
story that came out that even after they went and
signed Michael Vick to the contract extension years ago, that
they were aggressively trying to trade up because they wanted
(03:53):
to get their hands on Andrew Locke. If you're an
Eagles fan, or if you're just a fan in general,
that's all you can ask for from your organization. They
are never satisfied. They never settle, if it means changing coaches,
whatever it takes, and it's why they're near the top
of the league over the past decade. Plus with different coaches,
(04:14):
different quarterbacks. It's just another example of Philadelphia getting aggressive
and doing things that a lot of organizations and a
lot of teams wouldn't.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
Howie Roseman is one of the best at constructing a
roster to make them competitive and allow them to compete
for Super Bowls. I mean, case closed, he is one
of the best in the NFL at doing so. He's
ultimately the one behind the scenes point of strings. Now
that being said, he's typically had his issues with coaches.
(04:43):
It doesn't matter who it's been in recent history. I mean,
even Doug Peterson has won them a Super Bowl, it
didn't matter.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
You know, he's moved on is now in Jacksonville.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
Last year with how things went with that season, you know,
you got some rumblings that maybe there's some discontent at
times between Nick Sirianni and the front officer, you know, players, coach,
staff and all that. It seems like Halie Roseman is
the one person that has been the constant on a
team that has been able to put together some of
(05:14):
the most talented rosters the NFL is scene. I mean,
I know that remember the whole Dream team, and that
was back a little bit. I think maybe after the
whole Michael Vick era there as their quarterback.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
But so it was red around that time.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
Yeah, like you think back to that and you go, yeah,
that was over a decade ago, and they were putting
together rosters that that's what players were calling it, That's
what people on the outside viewed it as. I mean,
just ridiculously talented teams. That doesn't always mean you equate
to wins. It takes a combination of things in chemistry
and good scheme and coaching. But I mean they're at
(05:51):
least set up to have a shot. I mean every offseason,
Eagles fans should be extremely excited about what their roster
looks like going into the season. I mean, even if
they face them issues, they still have depth there too,
enough to be able to compete. So he's done an
unbelievable job and it compares to another franchise. You can
see why they're always in the hunt, always in the
(06:12):
always in contention. It's why I'm optimistic about the team
this year. And if you look at the changes they
made this offseason, it wasn't even focused on really much
of the roster reconstruction I should say reconstruction construction of
the roster. It was more about the coaching staff. I mean,
hiring two new coordinators was essentially saying, look, we feel
(06:33):
like we've got the guys on the roster. It was
just the guys maybe calling the defense, calling the offense
that weren't the right fit for us. And we feel
much better with Kellen Moore. We felt much better with
Vic Fangio. So I just I mean, they're to me
a super Bowl contending team from the NFC. I think
Jaylor Hurts is gonna have a bounce back year. Hopefully
he's one hundred percent healthy, because member at times last
(06:54):
year it seemed like he was really fighting through a ton.
But the way they do business, the way they construct
the roster is as good as anyone in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
It is kind of interesting, how just because of last
year and the way it ended that it's sort of
under the radar as a potential super Bowl team because,
like I mean, if you just looked at I mean,
the Lions have shorter odds to go to the super
Bowl than the Eagles do, and I look at him
and I go, all right, well, who else really improved
(07:23):
that dramatically in the NFS If you just went division wise,
who else really improved dramatically in the NFC East. The
Cowboys sure as hell didn't. Washington, you can argue that,
but they've got a rookie quarterback, and who the hell
knows what the Giants. The Giants lost maybe their best
player to Philadelphia in Saquon Barkley. So I look at
it and I go, whatever the issue was and the
(07:44):
meltdown and the coaches and all of that stuff. There
was talks that AJ Brown wasn't happy. Well they extended him,
as we pointed out, like I look at it and
I go, I don't know that it's even close as
to who's had the best offseason in that division. And
yet when you talk about, you know, the Super Bowl
contenders coming out of the out of the NFC, like
I think a lot of people look at the Niners
(08:04):
and go, well, you know, that's a real possibility. The
Lions take the next step, and you got Philadelphia sitting
there at seventeen to one to win a Super Bowl.
You got Philadelphia sitting there in the NFC right now.
If you were to go on DraftKings at seven to one,
that's a live dog. They shouldn't have the same odds
as Dallas to come out of the NFC based on
this offseason, Philly, Philly's got a chance here and they
(08:27):
don't have the Super Bowl hangover like they did last year.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
Why don't you just tell people to bet on them then,
instead of like saying, oh, they got a chance, Oh
they're live dog or the same odds as, just tell
people to bet on them.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Because I don't know what you're trying to do.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
The problem is you're worried about giving that advice because
you're awful of gambling.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Okay, Well, we don't need to call names here, and
we don't need to pass judgment on the air. That's
not what this is about. That's not this We're simply.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
We judged your your gambling.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Right.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
All I'm pointing out here is that so I need
to be back.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
I mean, he's been awful gambling.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
It feels like they have flown under the radar, all right,
That's what it feels like to me.
Speaker 7 (09:03):
Who's worse between Jodas and Live bet Jesus. I'm not
quite sure, but.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
It's probably Live bet Jesus because he bets less and
loses just as much.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Ay Lee, did you send out a picture of that
quote unquote pub you were at. Did you crop out
those people and send that picture out or.
Speaker 7 (09:18):
No, no, no, not yet working on it.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
You got to send that out just so we don't
feel like we're alienating the listeners when we, you know,
talk about where you went and hung out yesterday.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
Okay, my fault here we go all right.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
By the way, what I'm not sure what you're up
to with that?
Speaker 4 (09:31):
If you, uh, why would you want to have tacos
at a pub?
Speaker 7 (09:36):
They're not great tacos, but two dollars tacos on Taco Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Okay for the price because you're playing five dollars shots,
so you have to make up for a summer at.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Jonas, Like, why don't you just make tacos at home?
Probably save money.
Speaker 7 (09:48):
I made a breakfast taco actually right before I went there.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
Okay, yeah, it's delicious, much better, all right, So.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
You made a breakfast taco that was better. Yet then
you went to this place, this pub, two dollars tacos.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
He loves specials, man, Yeah, sucker specials?
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Are you really?
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Oh yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (10:06):
Are you the guy that hears like the happy hour
special and you're like, yep, every one of those.
Speaker 7 (10:10):
I was actually really upset because I got there right
after a happy hour, and then I got really excited
because I was like, oh, it's Taco Tuesday that goes
the all.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
Day the super Bowl in Phoenix, where we were sitting
at the bar and we're with Scott Shapiro or a
boss is there and Lee orders the brown bag surprise,
and Scott and I are looking at like, what's that
and Lee goes, I don't know, let's see, and it's
like a dollar cheaper and they give you a brown
(10:40):
bag and you open up surprise. You have no idea
which beer it is. But because it was a dollar cheaper,
Lee was getting brown bag surprises and it was like
some awful what was it?
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Like?
Speaker 7 (10:51):
It was some uh whatever they're trying to get rid of.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Yeah, so just because you can say four quarters in
brown bags surprise and our boss just looking at him
going all right, so yeah, he's a big fan of
special So that's uh.
Speaker 5 (11:10):
In Lee's defense, okay, I'll say this, he was trying
to save the company money because he's definitely gonna expense that.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
There's no doubt, Yeah, no, no doubt about it. I mean,
you know, yeah, I did see that story. Yeah, I mean,
it's too bad LeVar is not here to uh to
comment on that, you know, the uh the situation in
Las Vegas currently going on. But nonetheless, that is your
your look at the NFC East right now with the
(11:39):
Philadelphia Eagles aggressive yet again in trying to make a move.
And you know what's you know what's funny about the
Eagles too. They could go to the postseason and if
they lose in say the first round, DoD they get
upset or you know, lose on a crazy way. Nick
Sirianni could be out of a job and they would
just hire Bill Belichick, and Belichick without roster, would absolutely
(12:01):
take that job in Philly. Or is Howie Roseman too
abrasive that Belichick wouldn't want to work with Howie Roseman
because that roster is ready made if something were to happen,
ready to go.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
I mean they I mean, obviously they probably didn't inquire
about Bill to Bill Belichick, but I'm sure it'd be
one that he would look at. I mean, it'd be
on the East coast. Sounds like he wants to be
on the East coast. But it is kind of interesting
if you go back to last year. I mean, I
guess similar.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
To Dallas in some ways.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
They've been a team that's been a perennial playoff team.
They've won a Super Bowl much more recently than the
Dallas Cowboys. But like even last year, right, eleven and
six records not good enough. They get into the playoffs,
they lose the wild card round to the Tampa Bay Bucks,
and that's where all the speculations, I mean it really started,
you know, earlier in the year when they were what
ten and one at one point, and everyone's like, man,
(12:55):
this is like odd, but no one felt really good
about them as a ten and one football team. It
just felt off for something felt different.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
And then they went on that skid. But they only
won one of their last six.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Games, and DeVante Smith was the one guy that was
calling it out, like, yeah, our record's great, but we're
not playing that well.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
They was like what do you mean, like you're just wait, yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
And it wasn't like they had a difficult stretch either,
I mean outside of playing San France after that and Dallas,
I mean Seattle, you know, the Giants twice and then the Cardinals.
They only team that he was the Giants one side
of that.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
Yeah, so we get to see how that shapes up
with the Philadelphia Eagles. By the way, they're going to
be rocking the old eighties, late eighties slash nineties unis
permanently rest year.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, I'm not into that leads more into the kind
of fashion. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
I mean, if anybody knows, like, if you're the Eagles
and you really want to tie this whole thing together,
just go back to those late eighties like Randall Cunningham,
your jerseys, like they're so cool, so much better than
whatever this modern edition is. That would be my recommendation.
But two Pros and a Couple But Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you. So
we're gonna try and do the impossible. We're going to

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Two pros and a cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here coming up later
on this hour a little over twenty minutes from now.
It is our midweek Awards. It's the good, the Bad,
and the Ugly. That'll be yours here again a little
over twenty minutes from now, so we are going to
have some over unders as well too. On the NBA Draft.
(15:33):
By the way, how about the fact that the draft
is now two nights. You're a big fan of that there,
Brady Quinn, big fan.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Of the dream. Doesn't need to be no, it does.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
We need to be reminded that it happened the next day,
that there's more and more to it.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
I'll be honestly, I'm not even sure it should be
one night, you know, if we're gonna be truthful about it.
But apparently it's.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
Your first off you say that now you're advocating for
them moving around like the NFL.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
I'm just I'd like do something to spice it up.
I don't know, I didn't know they were going to
stretch it out tonight. I mean, that doesn't seem like
the most the best idea of the world based on
an event that's nowhere close to the NFL draft like
the NFL Draft. I get, you know, them wanting to
space it out and plan it out. This I don't
really understand much at all. But you know, Adam Silver's
(16:16):
claim is that, well, you know, it was met with
a support from people around the NBA because they saw
the second round as being much more valuable and so
apparently they need more time to gather their information on
those picks. So I mean, is what it is, man,
(16:36):
This is your NBA Draft coverage. But nonetheless, that's that's
what we've got looking forward to later on tonight. I
would just like to say this, when is it totally random,
totally off topic. When's the last time you walked into
a spider web? Is it recent?
Speaker 2 (16:55):
I'm not sure?
Speaker 4 (16:56):
Okay, I got a problem into one getting into my
car this morning. That may as well have been a
fishing net. I don't know what it seems like, am
I am I crazy? Or has has spider populations grown
over the past couple of years, and I don't know
(17:17):
what it is, but they are everywhere around here, and
maybe it's just a California thing, but they are all
over the place. And I walked into one and it
was in my hair, my face, my clothes. It was terrible.
And I don't know what these things are trying to catch.
If there's a bird flying around at night, but it
seems like a bit much to try and throw that
up while somebody's trying to get to their job and
(17:39):
trying to get to work. Nonetheless, I'm here, but it
does feel like there's an overpopulation of spiders recently.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
Just one of points out, so you feel like the
web which is probably spun by one spider. Yeah, you
feel like that's due to overpopulation. I mean maybe they're
just getting a stronger you know, webs or webbing or
think they shoot out of there.
Speaker 4 (17:59):
Okay, but how's that possible?
Speaker 2 (18:01):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Is it just like do they like, is there any
way to find out, Lee, whether or not there's like
a growing population of spiders, because I'm telling you it's
gotten work.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
What does it matter if there's more populations? Did you
get hit by more than one?
Speaker 4 (18:14):
It felt like it like it had to have been
more than one.
Speaker 7 (18:17):
Well, there there are seasons, you know, there's the uh,
you know, garden spider season, which is usually in the spring.
Obviously we just hit summer, but you know times of
year it's more more populous mode. And then of course,
you know, thank god, we don't have the East coast
problem with the giant juro spiders which can fly and
are huge.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 7 (18:38):
It's a thing. Well, because we're not on the East coast,
so we don't know.
Speaker 5 (18:40):
But it's uh, Lee, I've lived on it. If I've
never heard these spiders you're talking.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
About, look it up.
Speaker 7 (18:46):
It's a it's a thing. They've they've recently UH infested
parts of the UH northeast.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
The youuro spiders, they're flying spiders.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
They can fly, they could they could get caught by
the wind because they could do little parachutes with their webs. Yeah,
and they're huge. They're like the size of your head.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
No, they're not. Yes, how do you spell that? Hold
on J O R O.
Speaker 7 (19:09):
All lot of second Yeah, looking up, man, it's a
thing Jesus.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
Yeah, that's.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
That would not go over well. It's basically it looks
like a be with like really long That sucks. Well, listen,
that's why we're not on the East coast. That's another
reason why we're not on the East coast. But nonetheless,
I thought it was a little bit disrespectful to have
to walk into that to try and get to work
when all we want to do is just show up,
do a radio show and break down the damn NBA draft.
That's all we're looking to do here on this shows,
(19:39):
that's all we're looking to do.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sure we're looking to
break down the NBA draft. I know there's a lot
of NBA purists out there. I apologize, but yeah, I'm not.
I'm not really sure what to expect on the NBA Draft.
Do we feel overly confident.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
About any of the prospects at this point?
Speaker 4 (19:56):
I look, I'm most interested obviously Brownie James is going
to be a fun watch just because everything that comes
with it. But I want to see where Zach Edy goes.
Because Zach Edy, you really think he's just gonna be this?
Speaker 5 (20:07):
No, I just it's funny, Like how is it going
to really change things? I feel like it's gonna be
similar to Rudy Gobert and as far as the impact.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
So he's a two time Wooden Award.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
Winner back we get the accolades, the accolades and how
it translates to the NBA game or two different So.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
He's just not going to be a lottery pick because
he's projected to not be a lottery pick, like not
even a late lottery.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
Pick, because the game's completely changed, Like unless he's gonna
be able to, you know, shoot with some efficiency on
the outside from three point and move that way, like
it's just.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
That's not where it's valued as much anymore.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
Why do you why are you disrespectful to seven footers
and beyond?
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Like you don't want to not disrespectful.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
So I'm just saying there's there's justification for why he's
being drafted where he's being drafted.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
It's a throwback. It's a guy who just you know,
stands in the post and it can hit a shot.
He doesn't need to stand. But like we talked about
this when it came to all the like Karl Anthony
town shooting three, He's like, listen, if you are above
a certain height, you are you did, okay. We made
the claim that if you are six eleven and above,
(21:10):
you are allowed one three point attempt per half. Right,
if you miss it, that's it now. The one is
because if it's a buzzer beat or you got to
throw it up at the end of the half, that's fine.
But if you shoot more than one a half, you
are disqualified for the rest of the game.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Zach, So where does Nikola fill in that fit in there?
Because he's six eleven.
Speaker 4 (21:33):
Six eleven and a half, all right, six eleven and
a half and beyond, you are not allowed to shoot threes,
all right? That that is the new rule. That is
where we are leaving this at. And Zach Eatie no
interest in it. In fact, anything outside fifteen feet he
doesn't even want to talk about it. Then what is
he seven to four? Like that? This is a throwback
knows who he is, plays his style of basketball, and
(21:56):
he's going to end up some more. What if he
ends up with the Heat, If the Heat ended up
with Zach Edie, all right, that would like that's an
organization that could figure out a way to do something
with him and figure out a way to make it successful.
I just think, and I saw one draft projection that
said the Lakers would take him, that that could be
a possibility. Like there's just you know, there's some potential
(22:17):
landing spots out there. And I hope he goes somewhere
and has a successful career because at least he does
it the old school way, the way basketball used to
be before he had a bunch of guys eight feet
tall shooting up thirty footers and costing their team possessions
just because the three point line has changed, because Steph
Curry made everyone think that they're a good shooter all
of a sudden, just saying, you know, it's brought it.
(22:39):
It's brought in poor basketball and poor decision making all
over the sport. In mind.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
I mean, you could make the case that these guys
are just that much more skilled now and so they're
better at shooting the three on a more consistent level.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
I hate it you're seven your seven one.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
I'm not saying look, I'm not I'm not saying I
don't like you know where the game's going. I don't
like how spread out it is. I hate how you
miss a lot of those big dunks and jams and things.
It's one of the reasons why, like when Ja Morant
is playing, it's fun to watch because how he plays
the game, but there's some other issues there sometimes off
the court.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
What are you getting it is?
Speaker 4 (23:16):
What are you getting there? Listen to me the guy
you know, he's totally taking out of context. All right, So,
without further ado, then it is time to take a
closer look at something that doesn't deserve to be spread
out over two nights, but for some reason it is.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to gamble our ass off
to the NBA draft.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Time to put your money where your mouth is.
Speaker 7 (23:38):
I have been losing only align in low life gambling.
Speaker 9 (23:42):
The genuine it's over under all, right, lead to lap
what do we got Well, guys, we've been talking Zach
Edy a little bit right just now, Uh, draft position
for mister Zach Edy over under is at fifteen.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
And a half under.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
I'll take the over.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
I don't have to think.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
I don't want it to be the case, but this
is where we're trying to, you know, win the bet here.
I'll take the over. I think he's gonna fall. Okay,
all right, guys.
Speaker 7 (24:16):
Number of international players projected to be drafted in the
first round four and a half is the over under?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Fight over? I mean they might go one two? Wait, Lee,
what it?
Speaker 4 (24:28):
What was the initial terminology used when it came to
this bet?
Speaker 7 (24:32):
I said non American, which is oh gosh, it took
me a second to figure out the word I was
looking for. But international players, Oh, it's still there. I
should take you. I should change that right now here
we go?
Speaker 2 (24:47):
All right? So what was it again?
Speaker 7 (24:48):
The first round international players.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
Draft and the number one four and a half.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Over.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
I mean, you're gonna get two Frenchmen going first two today?
Oh yeah, yeah, Zach EDI's Canadian.
Speaker 7 (25:05):
Yeah, but international meeting they currently play overseas.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
Okay, I was gonna say, because technically there's a bunch,
but you're a hare on, like.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
A visa, there's a good chance three in the top ten.
I mean it's definitely over.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Yeah, I'll take the over. And I don't like how
that was manipulated there.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
Yeah awesome, although Di, I think you could make a
case as an international player.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
Yeah, like if he had, if he had to make
nil money. I don't know how many people know this.
He couldn't make it in West Lafayette, Indiana. He would
have to go back to Canada to make the money. Really,
that's what the.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
NCA rules state.
Speaker 5 (25:47):
It is one of the weirdest things as far as
nil goes, But that's the rule.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
What's the donut chop in Canada? Is it Tim Hortons
or whatever it is?
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Is it Tim? Yeah? Yes, so I believe became from Canada.
By the way, not to be pretty prevalent states, not to.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
Be confused with the great tin horn flats, which lead
a lap used to frequent many times.
Speaker 7 (26:12):
Albert Burbank I saw a great photoshop job of say,
what's opening now? Is a Halloween town?
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Oh? A tin horn flat?
Speaker 7 (26:20):
Tin horn flats? Yeah, because there they've been doing construction
work on it. Everyone's wondering what it's going to be.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
Uh, why did he get shut down? By the way,
because they were.
Speaker 7 (26:29):
The son of the owner kept on opening it during
the during the shutdown, literally he would literally get a
post bail and then go right back over and get
him get a generator because they actually took it off
the grid, and he would get a power generator and
get back up.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
He was determined. Oh, look till the COVID mandates in
the eyes and say kiss my ass.
Speaker 7 (26:48):
It was like prohibition. They had like a secret knock
you would see. Yeah, it was like a you could
hear it going on, but you had to know the
secret dog. Nobody you knew attended those, did you?
Speaker 4 (26:59):
No, no out at all?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Nope?
Speaker 4 (27:01):
All right, what else we got, guys?
Speaker 7 (27:03):
Trades between now and the end of the first round
at a half.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Over? Oh really between now and the end of the
first round?
Speaker 4 (27:17):
First round?
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Correct, I'll say over. I think I say at the
beginning of the first round, like will be a pre
draft trades.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
I would still take the over. That was the case, really, yea.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
My conspiracy theory is none of these leagues want the
teams to execute the trades, even if they're going to
happen before it gets on TV, because then it doesn't
give the guys something more to talk about.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
I mean, that's the drama of a draft, right.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
It's like teams switching places, moving around, potentially altering you know,
where one of these players goes, and it has their.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Career for the rest of it, any players.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
So a lot of these So you you're saying some
of these deals have already been consummated, but they're not
going to announce it because they want to drive up
the audience and add a little bit of intrigue.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
So may there's a little bit of that in the
back of my mind.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Yeah, I think goes on when it comes to draft.
Speaker 7 (28:06):
Well, lets us spice it up. Would you take the
under if I said before the start of the draft, Brady.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Before the start of the draft, Yes, I'll take the under.
Speaker 7 (28:15):
Let's do that.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
I'll take the over just because it's the NBA and
they'll figure out a way to screw this up.
Speaker 7 (28:22):
Fella's Donovan Klingen Draft position three and a half.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Uh. Man, he's a really good protector.
Speaker 5 (28:31):
I'm gonna say over, oh man, was he the best
player in Yukon this past year?
Speaker 4 (28:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (28:46):
I don't I don't know. If I don't know, well,
he's not.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
I mean, san Antonio wouldn't pick him at four. Houston's
picking at three. San Antonio wouldn't pick him at four.
They've got wemb I.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
Would assume the wind puppet.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
Yeah, so is Houston gonna take it?
Speaker 4 (29:05):
I'll take the under.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Do you think it's gonna go below that? Yeah? These
are the top three, is what you're saying. Yeah, okay, all.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
Right, fellas the one we all keeping our eyes on
Brownie James draft position right now on DraftKings forty nine
and a half.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
I'll take the over because I think the Lakers only
went fifty five. Yeah, that makes the most sense.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
It would be kind of sweet if somebody like, like,
what if you know, what if the Calves took him
just as kind of a little try to entice Lebron
to come back a third time? Anybuddy, how bad do
you want it?
Speaker 7 (29:48):
Some people think that boss and will take it right
before the Lakers at fifty four.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
That'd be pretty interesting.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
It would force them to essentially have to make a trade, right,
which is kind of brilliant on and.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
Also if you look at Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum.
The Lakers can have both of those guys in the
draft and didn't end up with him, So it'd be
kind of funny to see that happen again.
Speaker 5 (30:11):
Not to sound like a jerk, but when you kind
of think about and look through some of his mock
drafts and you see, like an Tonio Reeves, he's a
player that I've watched for Kentucky for a while, really
really good college player, has like proven himself as one
of the best college players, and he's projected to go
in the second round.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
And when you compare what he did in.
Speaker 5 (30:30):
College to proanni, you're just like, all right, I mean
even Cam Spencer is part of the national championship team.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah, their shooting guard there at Yukon, Like he had
a great year.
Speaker 9 (30:40):
And.
Speaker 5 (30:42):
You just go, okay, like this is this is how
they're projected to go.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
All right, Yeah, it's going to be a crap spot
to be in if you're Broughny James, like you, there's
there is so much attention around him and he just
probably didn't ask for any of it, Like, didn't ask
for any of it, and he's just caught up in
the windstone. I'll take I'll take over forty nine and
a half.
Speaker 7 (31:05):
All right, fellas tweets by Lebron between now and the
end of the draft tomorrow. So that between you know
now and end of round two tweets by Lebron one
and a half over over.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
Now, let me ask you, is this his own tweets
or could he quote, retweet or repost one To make
a comment with that count as.
Speaker 7 (31:28):
One, he has to at least add a comment. Can't
be just a.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
Retweet because you know, when his son does get drafted,
If his son gets drafted, there's gonna be some kiss
ass in the media. It's gonna tweet something and Lebron's
gonna like post like this or something like that, or
so it's got to be his own, his own tweet. Yeah,
I'll take the over yep, That'll be what I go with.
(31:53):
So there it is. That is your listen. I feel
like we've done more to try and make the NBA
Draft interesting anybody else has done, to be honest, you,

There are some good things that happen, and there's some bad,
and then there's some downright ugly things. It's time for good,
bad and lovely, all right.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
I lead the lab. Who's got what this week?
Speaker 7 (34:02):
Well, guys, as we do each and every Wednesday, we
start with the good, and this week, Jonas you are
delivering that what is good?
Speaker 4 (34:07):
This week you see matth Matthew Kachuck. Guys, got the
Stanley Cup with him. He's had that thing, you know,
all of fifteen minutes and I've already seen him jump
into the ocean, pour beer in it, and dump it
off a balcony there in Florida, like he is having
the time of his life. And you see that, and
you go, that's what makes that sport and that trophy
(34:30):
and that celebration so unique. Brady Quinn was a part
of it when his brother in law, Jack Johnson won
the Stanley Cup. The fact that these guys can basically
do whatever the hell they want with it. They get
their day, that's their day to celebrate. Awesome for the Panthers.
I was rooting against them because I was mostly rooting
against Brady Quinn. But nonetheless, now that they got it,
(34:52):
it is a fun watch and they are having the
time of their lives with that. So that's my good
for the week.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
It's such a bandwagon, sure is what's what do you mean?
I don't know. You're like jumping on.
Speaker 5 (35:02):
Now after the fact because they won, but you're rooting
against them in that moment in the game of seven.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
Listen, Like a lot of people can't understand this. If
you're not a guy, this is a time honor tradition.
If you're real friends, you root against your friends and
their sports teams. All right, That's the way I look
at this, and so that's why I was rooting.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
There's some truth of that. I will say this. I
don't think that's his twenty four hours with the cup.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
By the way, Oh he just hijacked it.
Speaker 5 (35:26):
And well there was there was a group of them,
so he got a lot of the video credit and
Speaker 2 (35:31):
There was a group of them at the elbow Room,
so they will get their twenty four hours later on.
Speaker 5 (35:35):
Okay, that thing came directly from the ice there in
Florida to.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
The Elbow Room for an all nighter.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
All right, Yeah, good for them. By what is the
elbow Room?
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Is that like a It's a bar that's right there
on the corner of Los Solus as it hits into
A one A and it's been there, I want to
say since like the nineteen twenties. I'm pretty sure it's
still all cash. But one of those legendary bars that
your your parents, your grandparents are.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Like, oh yeah, I went down there for spring break
back in the day.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
Wait, is that is that the like the area that
we went to where that pilot told us that he
was No, that.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
Was in Miami. That was Espanola.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Way, don't do this whole time. Yeah, she was asking
what else we got lead.
Speaker 7 (36:19):
Guys can't have good without the bad. Brady bow is
bad this week.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
The fact that all the all the championships in the
big some of the big sports have ended. I mean,
we don't have playoff basketball, when I'll playoff hockey.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
We now just have regular season baseball.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
There's nothing against that, right, it'll be fun once we
get to the playoffs. But there's just something about that
end to a game seven.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
The way that game went in particular in.
Speaker 5 (36:45):
The NHL, and that high to now the low of
having to watch games that.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Don't have as much on the line, don't have as
much at stake.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
I mean, even the PGA Tour, like it's not as competitive. Basically,
if Scottie Scheffler anders, the tournament's gonna win. So just
not a lot of competitive sports. But I guess we
can watch Copa America on Fox, you know, in FS one.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
That's been fun to watch it. I guess it's a
little bit of a change up.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
But Buro Cup too, Yeah, I like going on.
Speaker 7 (37:14):
Well, speaking of baseball, got to move on from bad
to worse? What was ugly this week? Did you guys
see Hunter Green puking on the mound yesterday?
Speaker 4 (37:22):
My guy, by the way, I think that's the second
time he's done that this year.
Speaker 7 (37:25):
Yeah, he got sick less less out and yeah, that
ball like barely.
Speaker 4 (37:29):
Left his hand and he was blowing chunks.
Speaker 7 (37:32):
Only six pitches in Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
First, then h yeah, what what's that about? Is that
just too much? Too much water? As he hung over?
Speaker 7 (37:40):
That's what he said.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
Over hydration.
Speaker 7 (37:43):
Drink too much water.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
I mean that is possible.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Over hydration. You're puking from that. Yeah, I was waterboarded.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (37:52):
Seriously, what does that even mean?
Speaker 4 (37:56):
I mean, uh, you know he does pitch for the
Reds and uh, you know we've talked about Skyline Chili before.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Oh, do not try to bast Skyline chill.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
Just trying to come up with.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Stay away, come up with the reasons why this guy
is beautiful, invention, this guy's lost thought chili and spaghetti
should go together, and the mountains of cheese.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
It's amazing.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Listen, this guy has lost his lunch twice during this
season that this feels like there's there's something more going
on than just him being waterboarded.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Yeah, hydration.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
I'm gonna say that next time I throw up. He
thought the flu as I drank too much. It's hydration
over hydration.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
That damn water got to be I can't believe it.
I'm not even gonna repeat what Loraina just said to me. Uh,
that would not sit well with a lot of people
listening as we get ready for hour three of the
Old p XT Year on FSR
