Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, Oh my gosh, that mean bike Mike bike damn.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
Come on lap ain fleep AINU and a fine Faine
fine fink fine, fine, fine, fine fine.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
I gotta change this. I like it though, but that's
gotta By the way.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I think I've identified which song I'm going with now
that we're venturing away from Sanford and Son. Oh yeah, yeah,
I got a real banger for you guys. I don't
know if you're ready for it, but I think it's
going to be universally respected by everybody. Because I thought
about being a bit of a douchebag and going with
My name is Jonas by Weezer, But I don't want
(01:28):
to do that because I don't even like myself that much,
so to have to hear my name like that, I
just felt it inappropriate.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
So you could always go with eminem though.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
My name is my name is true, that's true. Jonas knocks,
But uh, I got.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
It good though, man. I mean that's Sanford and Son
is the banger because it's just so connected to who
you are, That's right. You know, you can't find another
one that's as connected to who you are.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I mean you like you couldn't spot a difference between
George Sanford.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
And I at all. Not really yeah, not really great point.
I mean, once you really get down to the nuts
and bolts of it, it's not real man, Like you know,
like you put your hand on your heart and say
I'm coming home, you know. I mean he says it
to his wife, you say it to someone else. Yeah,
you use that on your kid, you know, you and
(02:20):
your son. He only had one son. You got one son,
you know. I mean, like you know y'all got one
of them relationships, you know, Yeah, like Bestie's It's cool man, yeah,
you know, I mean it's just that song just really
is connected to the essence of who Jonas knox is.
I don't even know if your name is really last
name is Knox. I almost feel like Jonas knocks, like
(02:44):
it's almost like a radio name, like a you know,
I know in the radio business, people don't use their
real names.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Oh. So the first radio job, by the way, two
pros and a cup of Joe here on Fox. Yeah,
tirack dot com dot com dot com we'll help you
get direction, fast, free shipping, free road as protection, and
over ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot com the
way tire buying should be. So my first ever legitimate
(03:12):
radio job in South Carolina, it was at the old WSPO. No,
there was another Jonas already there. So my luck, I
finally get hired full time to do radio. I go
all the way out to South Carolina. I don't know anybody.
I pack up a U haul on the back of
my Sanford and Sun truck and I drive all the
(03:32):
way out there. And I get there and they're like, yeah,
you can't use your first name. Like why not? They're like,
we already have a Jonas. It would be confusing listen.
So I was like, what are my options? And they
gave me a list of options, and I just went
with J. But instead of doing jy, I just did
J dot knox J. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
So that's uh so that was just my you know,
I think you should have just did the name or
the letter.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
J knocks so they knew. Like people around the station
for some reason started calling me foxy Noxie. I have
no idea why.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
You know, you might be the most you might be
the dude that knows the good looking but acts like
like you like downplaying yourself.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I think they were seeing into the future because they
were trying those guys. Well no, they were trying to
tell me that the station's going under. You're gonna end
up a fox like. I think that's what they were
trying to tell me.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Did no bro, And that happened to me before, by
the way, So don't feel bad. Am I am I
inauguration or inaugural deal with with radio. I got on,
I was doing the radio show. It was an AM station,
it was a gospel station, but nonetheless they crow barred
me in and then it went straight into me talking sports.
(04:49):
I ain't having an opening to the show or nothing,
just just it went from geesus, Hey, it's LeVar Arrington.
They're talking DC sports. What's happening with you guys? What's
going on? Hey, how's everybody going on? We got a
great show for you today. And as soon as I finished,
all right, well that'd do it for me. Gee, they folded.
(05:12):
Our station was so uh like two months in out
of there.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
There at least twice a week we'd get calls that
people would be listening and for some reason it would
switch over to a hip hop station. Like we'd be
in the middle of breaking down South Carolina Clemson and
all of a sudden, Oh.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
My gosh, that be by right in the night.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Faint faint, fae fain.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
We love Rihanna, but what happened to the Clemson South
Carolina preview? Noah, I don't have to tell you, but uh,
listen local radio man. That's why whatever we're we get
onto any of the affiliates around the country. I love
it because it just brings up so many reminders of doing.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
That much bigger you've gotten. No, no, no, how dope
you are now Foxy Noxie not true, not true, that
lives of Fox. I'm not here. They would call it
you slides of Fox. They was saying, Hey, Jonas, you
want to go get drinks later. Hey, yeah, trust I'm available.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
I can assure you. Nobody said that because where I lived,
because it was affordable. Nobody was visiting.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Like there was not a say, so you lived in
the hood, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
But I was unaware. I just got what I could afford.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
But that's down South, like you might have had that.
Like the hood down South is different than big city hoods.
You know, country hoods are are kind of I mean,
if you ain't in like a real war zone, I mean,
were you in a war zone.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Well, I couldn't figure out why nobody wanted to come over,
Like even people from the state, Like, nobody visited. And
I'm like, you know, what's the It's fifteen minutes away
from downtown. It's not I mean, it's not that much
of a hike. It's twenty minutes from the studio. Like
I don't understand.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
But it was did you live in the jets? Like,
did you look like in a like apartment?
Speaker 1 (06:59):
It was where I lived. They told me that last
year it was the eighth most dangerous city in the US,
And I had no, Like, but here's the thing I had,
No there was never an issue, like.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
You had your truck there. Yeah, no, you did it.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Of course, what else are I going to drive?
Speaker 3 (07:19):
You had your truck in hood? Yes? Interesting so they like,
I mean people pick up trucks in the hood man.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Yeah, And it was fine, like there was never an
issue at all, Like I never had any The only
issue I ever had with a neighbor is you had
like a community like washer dryer system to where you
would go down you'd have to pay like seventy five
cents for a load to wash, seventy five cents to drive.
Its kind of a pain in the ass. And I
went down there one time. Oh yeah, And I went
(07:48):
down there one time and some guy had had thrown
his clothes into the dryer that I paid. Well, no,
he like he thought he thought it was going to
blend in to where I was. I would notice it,
and once I saw it, I took his clothes out.
I threw him in the dumpster out back, and then
finish my finish my drying. So to the guy who
never got his clothes back, that's what did he know?
Speaker 3 (08:10):
You were? The guy?
Speaker 1 (08:11):
I don't know?
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Maybe I mean you're here, yeah, you're here today? Yeah, probably,
I mean, maybe he was a fake gangster. I mean,
I don't. I don't think a real gangster, somebody who
was really ready to like do some put in some
work like that would hurt you over them not having
enough money to.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Wash their own I mean, I'm telling you, like the
apartment complex I was at, like I'll just put it
this way. I didn't look like anybody else, and I
never had an issue at all, like there was like
in fact, I left on.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
You that looked like nobody else nobody. You actually were
protected then you were. You were actually say they like,
don't let nothing happen to him. I could guarantee you
that anybody who knew what was going on or had
pool in that area, like don't do not let anything
happen to him.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Apartment six. Nobody touched that guy because that one they'll
find out about.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Okay, get hot real quick. People start going down. You know, hey,
look the rest of y'all cats out here is riversap.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
This cat right here five.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Oh hey man, they coming up in here, man, and
they go some stuff they wasn't looking for.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
So I was carrying a bunch of stuff inside one time,
and I didn't I forgot that I left my keys
in the lock because I was like carrying groceries and
things like that inside, and I just got caught up
like doing a bunch of stuff. There was a knock
on the door and it was my neighbor letting me
know I left the key in the front door. Yeah,
they're totally cool, like never an issue.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
They're so cool. They said, don't feed them.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
They're they're just like Els Johnson. It's like the real
thing out here.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Can you imagine they knocked on the door and said, hey,
you left your keys and you left you in the door,
but have a great day. Oh man.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
It's also that remember we were talking about the other
day that if you go to a sports bar to
watch like pay per view events or anything like, they've
got like a hook up to where they're basically stealing
off somebody's cables so they don't have to pay for
the capacity rate at a sports bar.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Oh so they do that with everything electricity, you don't
do it with at least I haven't seen it done
with water. I'm in.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
So there was a five minute walk to this little
mini sports bar that was right next to a liquor
store in North Charleston where I lived. And as you walked,
as you walked down coming out like there was literally
a cord coming out of the wall. I don't know
whose wall specifically it was, but that's how I was
able to watch UFC fights there. And all they did
(10:45):
was pay like the fifty four dollars or whatever it
was at the time. Yeah, and then they charged us
five bucks cover charge. And I knew because my brother
owned a restaurant bar, I knew. I'm thinking myself, so
you guys are making a ton of money, like you're
not paying capacity, you're not paying the guy kind of yeah,
you know, you gotta do what we gotta do. It's
you know, they're going to charge us for this room
(11:05):
in that room. And it was like, okay, all right,
that I guess that works. So listen, fun times, the
good old days.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Well, I'm glad to know that you you you a
project baby man. You know, you know we have more common.
We have more in common than what I thought coming
into the coming out of this segment, I realized that
we have relatable moments in our life.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
So there you go, speaking of the projects. You want
to try and call lead the lap live on the
air right now, come on, let's call all right, So
we're going.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
To try and we're going to see projects right now.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
I mean, of course, what do you mean. That's that's
his that's his range on on bumble, that's his filter.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Is that his filter?
Speaker 1 (11:48):
The projects? Favorite band end Vogue? There you go, ah, right,
here we go. Let's see the answers, because he's going
to be blasted right now.
Speaker 3 (11:58):

Yeah, go far, Yeah, I'm talking about.

Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
That's a song. That's a strong song right there. You know,
America whoa got the spirit? The song will make that
song will have you catching the spirit.

Now, damn right. It is two pros and a cup
of Joe here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
Dah that joint hit her hard right the chest joint
hanging hanging hammers By the way, I want.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
To give a shout out to Greg who's listening. Uh.
He wrote in that he said, thanks for working today.
He's out here delivering potato chips. And also this is
a holiday where there's a lot of potato chips that
are that are consumed.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
On this holiday. You know what, We appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Yeah, man, that that's real work right there, getting a dog.
I went to the super Mart yesterday. I can't even
believe the cost of potato chips. It is shocking. So
gotta do what you gotta do. Store brand. Yeah, Hey,
what about Dorito's? I don't know, what about Kroger That's
what That's what I do. Yeah, stup being snobs crazy,
(16:23):
all right. So with that being said, we transition over
to this. We've got some over unders for you coming
up here at a little over twenty minutes from now
from the ti rack dot Com studios. But we've got
h We've got an interesting situation in the NFL. So
the New York Giants decided they wanted to be a
part of this off season with the Giants Hard Knocks
Edition by HBO. Because HBO just can't seem to let
(16:45):
it go. They're like the taxidermy who still keeps the
animal alive with hard knocks. It's over. Stuff it, put
it on the wall and let's move on. But instead
we've got to hear a taxidermy does I know, but
it's like they're still keeping it alive. No, it's over.
Just pull the plug, stick it on the wall, and
(17:06):
just look back on the good times you had instead
of trying to reenact and revisit this whole thing to
begin with. And so the Giants decided day one.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
The NFL network, Oh yeah, bang bang, I'm sorry, go ahead, god,
I'm sorry. Man.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Oh all right, everybody's got a makeup room, you know.
But uh, nonetheless we uh you stupid. Yeah. Uh So
we've got the few.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
That should be all hard knocks behind the scenes network.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Sure, sure should be. Uh, but we've got the New
York Giants that are on hard not.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
They got.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
App Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
So they've got the Giants being featured there. And you know,
there's all sorts of clips that are coming out. This
first one we're going to hear in this clip that
we'll listen to right now. This is Joe Shane defending
the decision to keep Daniel Jones and as he points
out offensive line has been an issue for the Giants.
It's been an issue especially last year with all the
(18:28):
injuries they had, and so he kind of used that
to state his case for why they continue on with
Daniel Jones as their quarterback.
Speaker 7 (18:35):
We're gonna draft one, We're gonna sign good guys we
got in twin. Yeah, the reality is facts, three serious
injuries in two years.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
We need to protect ourselves. You didn't have much of
a chance this year. That's legit.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Like your off season.
Speaker 7 (18:50):
The four guys, your core guys that were going to
play together, played less than sixty snaps together. Miami, We've
got three practice squad guys playing for us. You know,
no week if you have Papa Holmes, he can't win it.
Behind that, I'm not giving up, like he's in our
contract for three more years. Just protecting ourselves because best
predictor of the future is the past.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
If they were really interested in protecting themselves on the
offensive line, why did they take Molik Neighbors at the
first pick of the draft. I'm just like, you know
what I mean, Like, what do we like if that's
if that's what that's what your concern was. I mean
even the Jets. Like, as much as we talk about
how dysfunctional the Jets are, what do they do, oh
(19:33):
lou Like like they drafted your guy to p Yeah,
they drafted your guy to Penn State. Like that was like,
all right, we want to keep our quarterback healthy, We'll
go draft an offensive lineman. He was there, they could
have had him. They went Malik Neighbors.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
That's a This is a hard one because Malik Neighbors
is he's one of those guys. He's a guy. I mean,
there were a couple of guys in this this draft. Obviously,
I think Marvin Harrison junr. Is the guy of guys
in this draft. And in fact, I think he's generational.
I think he's going to have one of those careers
(20:11):
where I mean they might create their own legacy of
big time receivers, you know that that go to Arizona.
He he has he very much has that in him
to be the next guy after you know, Larry Fitzgerald.
That's how highly I think of him. Malik Neighbors is
(20:35):
definitely in the category of will be elite in the league.
And so that's a hard one. And I will say
this and living in sensibility of we couldn't protect our quarterback.
And if you are indeed using that as your logic
(20:56):
and your reasoning as to why Daniel Jones has not
had success, then it's a no brainer. You take the
best offensive lineman that you can get, you get the
best offensive lineman, and free agency, you get the best
offensive lineman that you can draft. That's that is one
hundred percent an easy and easy answer to the problem.
(21:18):
Jonas to answer your question, but Malik Neighbors is one
of those types of talents that if if the circumstances
work out the way that they're supposed to work out,
if they can guard Daniel, protect Daniel Jones the way
they need to and give him some time to operate.
(21:40):
If you have some balance in your offense. Doesn't help
that you got rid of Saquon Barkley. I forget who
they bring in. I don't know who they brought in
to replace that that production, but probably not going to
be as good a player replacing that production from your backfield.
So he's going to have a lot of press make
sure on him to deliver the goods as a passer.
(22:04):
He has yet to do. So I think we've seen
enough of a body of work of him, They say
that we haven't. They say he hasn't played as much
or the people around him haven't played as much as
they needed to for you to see what type of
player he really is. I think we know what you're
gonna get from Daniel Jones as a playmaker for your team,
(22:25):
at least with the New York Giants. And that's been
a lot of different head coaches. But still I don't
look at Daniel Jones like he's going to be a
world beater all of a sudden this year coming into
the season. So for those to be the sentiments of
the people internally, it just makes you wonder, like, you know,
are they a little bit are they playing up to
(22:47):
the camera or are they being real? And if they're
being real, do you have to then think, well, are
these guys a little delusional in what it is that
they're expecting for or for Daniel Jones? And and you
know the rest of this this outfit SCE it doesn't
sound realistic to me.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
I mean I remember back when in the draft, it
was probably three years ago at this point, but it
was the Bengals decision. They were sitting at four I
believe four or five. I think they were sitting at
five rather and they decided, coming off the injury to
Joe Burrow, they drafted a wide receiver in Jamar Chase
(23:29):
and passed on Panay Sewell, who ended up going to
the Lions at six. That one has worked out well
for everybody involved.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Well, I mean that's that he continues to get hit,
and that's that's it continues to get hurt, right and
and and you don't see that happening to Jared Goff.
In fact, Piney Sewell is one of the star warts
of that team. Yes, so I wouldn't say that it Listen,
Jamar Chase is the same thing I just said about
Malik Neighbors, Right, He's just one of those guys. It's
(23:59):
you can't nigh the talent that that guy brings to
the table. So if you take them, you've taken a talent,
and that talent can be very, very useful and productive
for your team. But that doesn't mean that that was
the right move or the perfect move for your team
to make, being in the position that it's in. Yeah,
(24:20):
And that's kind of seemingly has been the undoing of
the Cincinnati Bengals. Is the health of Joe Burrow. And
I think that injury came off of contact, correct, Yes.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I mean fold and half that's one of the worst knee.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
And also his hand though too right then he hit
his hand or his elbow or something like that.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
He's never I think he had also like appendicitis last
like he's never really had like a training camp, like
there's always bottle shoes.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
Appendicitis isn't from protection in the pocket. But I mean,
unless he got.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Hit, let's just blame him anyways, we'll blame that.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Maybe appendicitis from getting hit too much. I don't know,
maybe they just bruising his appendix.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Hey, this right of Anthony Munyos was still there, that
wouldn't happen.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
They might run over Anthony Munyos though he might be
a little bit light for this this this day and age.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
I'm not messing with Anthony MUNYOI He's a great man.
By the way, I would take that back. That was
that was Anthony munn one of the all time greats.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
But so you've got that situation with Daniel Jones and
and sort of and it really does feel like they
chose like they could have done a deal with Saquan
and look, Joe Joe Shane is the same general manager
who last year when they announced the signing of Daniel
Jones before last season and the extension, he said, had
(25:48):
he known what he knows now, they would have picked
up the fifth year option, which was basically admitting we
didn't think it was gonna work out and he was
going to have as strong of a year as he did.
So now we're having to pay a premium because we
screwed that up. Like that's basically what he was saying.
So you've got all that in the backdrop of going
into this season and Saquon Barkley is now in Philadelphia,
(26:11):
and so being featured in this Hard Knocks episode is
Joe Shane breaking down and the Giants breaking down why
they don't see that it's worth them worth it for
them to pay Saquon Barkley the money that he's looking
for going last off season. So he ends up in Philadelphia.
So aj Brown saw the video, took to social media
(26:31):
and said, the Saquon video fired me up, and it
wasn't even about me. I'm going to do everything in
my power to make sure you get yours fam talking
about Saquon Barkley, And I'm telling you right now, and
we've talked about this a little bit throughout the course
of the off season, their decision to not pay Saquon
Barkley and letting him go to Philadelphia is going to
(26:52):
haunt them, Like the Eagles and Nick Sirianni feel like
the team and the franchise that would absolutely get a
little bit petty on behalf of their player, and when
he sees the Giants, they're going to do everything in
their power to make sure that he gets every opportunity
to shove it back in their face, like they're going
(27:14):
that decision they made cost them, And I think that's
why Giants fans are so upset about it and why
Saquon Barkley has responded to some of the heat from
Giants fans, because that's all misdirected anger pissed if they're
pissed at the organization, not a Saquon Barkley.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Yeah, but they need to stop doing that. Fans need
to stop doing that, like stop stop lashing out at players,
especially in these cases like there's some instances where there's
legitimacy and feeling the way that you feel or you felt,
but this isn't one of them, Like, why would you
attack Saquon Barkley for going to a place where he's wanted.
(27:55):
He wanted to stay in New York. He did. If
you guys remember he did the whole You know, I'm
going to come to camp like I've rethought it, like
I want to be a good teammate to my team, this,
that and the other. I'm gonna play this out. Whatever
happens happens. But I do want to be a New
York Giant. I want to stay here. I don't want
no issues. So I'm coming in. You know, I'm coming in.
(28:16):
And he did, and he played well, and then you
don't want to pay him again, Like you can't as
New York Giants fan, which as fans which ill will
upon Sakuon Barkley for going to a divisional opponent, you
can't wish ill will upon him for not being a
(28:37):
New York Giant anymore. He wanted to be a Giant.
He wanted to be a Giant. He wanted to represent
your your your team, your city, you know, your fan base.
He wanted to and they didn't want him back. It's
so funny, you just never I mean, I guess you
you kind of heard it in Washington, but not very much,
(28:59):
not really, like you don't really hear fans really or
the media really just go in on decision makers like
you just never hear it. And and to me, I
just think that it's wild in this situation here, there's
no reason to direct any type of ill will towards
towards sa Quon. And if I am a Philadelphia Eagles player,
(29:24):
if I'm a fan, if I'm if I'm a coach,
if I'm whoever a teammate, yeah I'm a rally around
that because he's a good dude. He's a genuinely good dude.
And by the way, he's from PA and he's from
that side of PA. So to that point, y'all sent
him home, you know, y'all sent him home. So it
(29:48):
is what it is. But they definitely are going to
have to deal with a healthy dose of Saquon Barkley
every single time they play them.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
One of the clips I saw was they were having
discuss us like it was Joe Shane and the rest
of the front office, and they were talking about, you know,
his age and why they don't want to pay him,
and then they're going around the room and there was
one guy that was in the room that was like,
are we sure nobody's going to pay him, like based
on and they just kept pointing out, oh, you know,
there's his age, and there's a lot of other backs
(30:18):
on the market, and there's you know, does it make sense,
and like just basically finding every reason not to pay him,
like every reason not to give him the contract he wants.
And then he ends up with the Eagles, and I
just look at it and I go, he wanted to
be there, As you pointed out, he went above and
(30:39):
beyond to try and stay there. Yes, he had the
injury issues, but that hasn't been as much of the
case the past couple of years. And instead, when we
talked about at the time, it would have made more
sense to give him the contract extension and franchise tag
Daniel Jones, they didn't go that route, and so here
we are two years later. He ends up in Philadelphia,
he's with the division, right.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
That's what they got the problem with because that's the
I mean, there's two teams, there's two teams that are
better than the Giants in the NFC East right now,
And you could say possibly all three outside of them,
but you know for certain that it's Dallas, and you
know for certain it's the Eagles. Yes, right, So you
really only have a problem because you know how good
(31:21):
Saquon is and it was okay, like, we're not gonna
pay him, we're not gonna pay him until he went
to to the Eagles, and now you know how much
better the Eagles will be having that type of talent
in their backfield. That's the only thing you have a
problem with, And say you have a problem with letting
him go to Philly versus versus it being anything else,
(31:41):
because the bottom line is if he goes somewhere like
like Booby goes Booby went to Carolina, Booby Miles, Miles
Sanders went to to Carolina, you don't have any problem
with him. If you're an Eagles fan, you don't have
you don't have beef with him. In fact, you feel
bad for him. Not only do you not have beef,
but you're like, man, we had a really, really nice
(32:03):
running game going with him, and we probably should have
took care of him, and we let him go. Like
that sucks because he's in Carolina. You know, had he
went to Dallas, then we'd be having the same conversation, like,
how y'all gonna let him go to Dallas? What y'all
doing that for? Booby? You stink, you suck, like we
(32:23):
hate you, burn your jersey like all that stuff, right,
because you know he can, Oh, it's okay if they
can't hurt you. But if we let you go because
we didn't value you, and then you go to somebody
who can directly you know where he can hurt you
two times a year. Now you got an issue with it.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
DeAndre Swift is in Chicago. You didn't hear anything about it. No,
like there wasn't like you know from Philly standpoint, you
didn't hear anything. They're just like, yeah, whatever it had whatever.
He moved on. But Saquon left, went to Rival. Now
that he's going to see him. Week seven, they go
to the Giants.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
The Eagles's coming coming. That's what's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
I'm telling you, Siriani is petty, he's got a red ass.
They're gonna have something dialed up for that game. I'm
telling you, like, there's gonna be I can't wait to
see what the betting lines are, like just prop bets
on only Saquon Barkley for that game. That's gonna be
the move. So so it'll be fun to watch that
play out again. Week seven and then they close up
the season. Week eighteen is the Eagles Giants in Philly,
(33:26):
so who knows. By that point, the Giants won't be
playing for anything and Philly will be resting their starters
for a playoff game, so that's usually the thing you go.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
And they still gonna play Saquon, so probably getting get
him two hundred yards of the game, get him a
single game Russian record against the Giants.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
It is a two pros and a cup of joe.
That'd be amazing, by the way, two pros and a
cup of Joe. Fox Sports Radio LaVar Arrington Jonas knocks
with you. We've got some over unders coming up here
shortly for all the latest though from around the world
of sports. He's Eddie Garcia.
Speaker 8 (33:57):
All right, thanks Jonas. We'll start with the NBA, where
the only Lakers and star Lebron James agree on a
two year, one hundred and four million dollars max deal
and Lebron James junior Bronnie James on the same day.
It's a four year deal worth seven point nine million,
and the Lakers are adding Nate McMillan and Scottie Brooks
as assistant coaches on jj Redicks staff. They have a
combined thirty one years of NBA head coaching experience to
(34:19):
assist Reddick, who has none in baseball games of note yet.
The Phillies over the Cubs five to three. Philadelphia now
at major league best fifty seven and twenty nine. Orioles
down the Mariners four to one. Baltimore's won six of seven,
and they now have a two game lead on the
Yankees for the top spot in the AL East. Yankees
lose to the Reds three to two. Astros over the
Blue Jays nine two. Houston nineteen and nine since the
(34:39):
first of June best record in the American League over
that span, and they're now just two games back of
Seattle for first in the AL West. Guardians loose to
the White Sox eight to two. Dodgers follow the Diamondbacks
twelve to four. Christian Walker couple homers for Arizona. Brewers
shut out the Rockies three, now the thing. Milwaukee starter
Colin Ray seven shot on innings in the win. Twins
lose to the Tigers nine to two. Minnesota did it
(34:59):
a hole run for the twenty first straight game, but
Detroit had four of them, including a grand slam from
Carson Kelly. Braves over the Giants three to one. Chris Sale,
the starter for Atlanta, gets his eleventh win of the season.
That's tied with Kansas City's Seth Lugo for the major
league leading victories. Royals beat the Raise four to two,
while the Red Sox down the Marlin seven to two,
so Kansas City is still holding the half game lead
on Boston for the last wildcard spot in the American League.
(35:22):
Padres beat the Rangers six to four. It was the
Pirates walking off of the five to four went over
the Cardinals in ten innings. Now back to LaVar Arrington

eating at the Nathan's Uh contest at Coney Island. The

a half? Yeah, that's uh.
Speaker 9 (37:46):

Speaker 1 (38:12):

Speaker 3 (38:14):
And I don't know hot dogs. I'm not int his
eating championship, So put that on me for something else.
I'm gonna take the under on the forty eight and
a half.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
I'll take the under as well too. I think Joey
Chestnut not being there is gonna make these guys think
they can take their foot off the gas and just
sort of, hey, we'll just we'll do this nice and easy.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it was under forty,
to be honest with you. So I'll take the under
on that.
Speaker 9 (38:43):
Apparently he's gonna try to beat whatever theirs is in
his own you know, in like half the time.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
That might motivate. Of course he would, of course he
would anyway. Total goals.
Speaker 3 (38:51):

than you. Like what you get out of here, damn?

play hard.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
I'll take the under. I see a two nothing win
for Argentina. Yeah, I'm gonna go with that.
Speaker 9 (39:20):
Okay, all right? Moving over to basketball the world of basketball.
Number of big name free agent signings by the Los
Angeles Lakers this weekend. We will set the line at
zero point five at Joe half. Understand.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
Please, nobody wants to be a part of that freak show. Well,
come on, you can't get into that building without a
rubber nose on your face.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
What do you think he's gonna be doing instead?
Speaker 3 (39:54):
Oh, he's going to do barbecues, but it's going to
be like one or two. It's the half that got me. Now,
it's it too out of took the over. Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
I'll take the under as well.
Speaker 9 (40:06):
All right, but you might least set this line himself.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Yeah, I'll think he's got some insight INtime.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
You could only drink so much at the first two.
How you're gonna make it to the third one got one,
well you even know he made it.
Speaker 9 (40:21):
One more quick one number of athletes involved firework incidents
this weekend over under point five.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Jesus, why are you so negative? Pretty toxic. I'll take
the over and I'm gonna go over on speaking toxic,
