What the hell was that during the National anthem last

get into that whole conversation. We're also going to find
out what to look forward to in the matchup that
(00:20):
could be in the first inning of the All Star
Game later on tonight, when John Paul Morosi stops by.
We are going to have a discussion about somebody in
the NFL who just continues to make dumb decisions. We've
also got a discussion about one coach in the NFL
who apparently isn't threatened by another one. What happened with
Terrell Davis on a flight and where do these flight
ranking stack up? Plus, we've got another edition of In
(00:42):
case you missed it, We've also got would you rather?
And we close up shop with you in and you out.
It's all yours coming up next here, Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe on a Tuesday, Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Oh you wanted it, Donus.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Dons, Jonas, Jonas totally, Sadie Sandiel Saniel.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah, I got your Sandford and Son right here. You
went to full Antonio Benderis on Hey, but you know
what you think about it? This song also applies to
that truck.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Dang ahead, Damn, Sid's out to all the homies.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
By the way, I didn't think it could get worse.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Coop and Eddie are just distraught. Eddie, what's the problem,
damn thumbs down? Well, it is two pros and a
cup of Joe. Here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington,
Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you. By the way, if

last night.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
How was that?
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Well, I thought it was exciting. Did you guys not
like it?
Speaker 6 (02:43):
No?
Speaker 5 (02:44):
I mean I mean I did not like it.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I just didn't watch it congratulately.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
What did I not like it?
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I had to watch it to like it.
Speaker 7 (02:56):
I wanted to highlight the formats changed though it was
kind of interesting. It was a you had forty pitches,
which here's what I don't like about it. There's three
minutes or forty pitches, whichever comes first. So it was
kind of fast pace, which means part of the onus too,
by the way, is on the pitcher. And so Bobby
(03:16):
Witch Junior, who I think he had someone Russell was
pitching to him.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
He was a lefty. Even though he made it to
the finals.
Speaker 7 (03:23):
I thought who was throwing to him did an awful job,
Like it was pretty apparent in the first round where
he kind of barely made it through the next round
that he.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
Wasn't getting a lot of help.
Speaker 7 (03:33):
Like you're out there at a home run derby competition
and you can't somehow get the pitch you want to
try to knock one out of the park.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
That's a problem.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah, it feels like there's more pressure on the pitcher
than there is the actual batter because you just for
sure if you just groove it in there, those guys
don't even look like there's any effort to their swing.
Speaker 7 (03:50):
It just turn and burn and they get they get
into a rhythm and it's over. Like it's just every
swing it's out, it's gone, see next one. Like it's
incredible to watch. But that being said, like they had
the whole bonus round where it went back to the
old traditional way where you have three outs, but if
you hit one a certain distance you get an additional opportunity.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
And then that's what it came down to.
Speaker 7 (04:16):
Bobby Witch Junior actually ended up hitting one late with
two outs to get an additional an additional out, so
you had two outs essentially to hit one home run
to tie two to win it.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
And with his last out he smacked one.
Speaker 7 (04:31):
I mean it was deep towards center but hit off
the wall, so pretty dramatic finish.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
It was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, it was fun. Nice dolls Garcia. I'd love to
know what that guy's workout is because he is joked up. Yeah,
all those guys are seemed like they spent a lot
of top off his batman. Yeah, real strong form.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
Yeah, definitely yeah, nothing like Maguire back in the day, though,
I did, like very.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
Few people have their you know, strong so form wrapped
around the wood like you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
I did like Ken Griffy Junior was up there and
he was just like they were talking to him like, hey,
you know, so what was your strategy this and that?
You know, At this point he goes, well, no, I
mean we got ten swings and that was it. He's like,
this was not this was completely different from when we
played it and when we did it. Uh, and so well,
(05:24):
yet there are ten outs, Like yeah, you.
Speaker 7 (05:26):
Know, ten outs is a lot easier if you can
at least like, you know, you take your pitch and
take your time.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
With all of it. No, no break.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
They just had to go up there and start hacking.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
But again, the old way is better in my opinion,
because look, these guys were gassed.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
So after a minute and a half, they try to.
Speaker 7 (05:44):
Take a break somewhere after twenty pitches or a minute
and a half, because I mean you're up there just
swinging and you gonna kind of swing at everything. I
think it's now to rely on the pitcher to groove
them like some strikes or groove them balls, and I
don't like that portion of it. They got to find
a fine line of just go with a clock if
that's the case, but don't do a number of pitches
(06:04):
because some guys actually had like maybe ten seconds fifteen seconds,
which gives them two or three more throws that they
wouldn't have had otherwise with the forty.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
So it almost need to just go to the clock
and keep it there.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Now let's get to U the real conversation.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Oh that wasn't the real one.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
No no, oh no, this is a travesty.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Oh no, Ingrid and dress. Yeah not familiar. Four time.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
No, no, no winner nominee. Oh okay, gotcha, gotcha. It
makes sense now, doesn't it.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Four time grammy nominee. I can't imagine if she would
have lost out on all those four But she was
singing the national anthem.
Speaker 8 (06:50):
Oh yeah, and I heard about that. Yeah, yeah, I
know about this lee Which which do you prefer?
Speaker 7 (06:57):
Here?
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Card? Any car? Do you want?
Speaker 4 (07:00):
All right?
Speaker 1 (07:01):
So let's hear a little bit of the national anthem
from Ingrid and dresst.
Speaker 9 (07:12):
Bombs bus.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Do?
Speaker 5 (07:19):
Then U.
Speaker 9 (07:29):
The Oh that ain't nothing but.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
That new autumn tune.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Bro, that's that was awful.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Yeah, that sounds it wasn't too bad at all. That
sounds like so bad as it sounds like somebody put
their dog in the electric chairs.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
What it sounded like that was And it was horrendous
that it live.
Speaker 7 (08:04):
I honestly thought, oh, they gave an opportunity to, you know,
someone who's like never done it before.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
It's like I make a wish or some situation going on.
It was bad.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
I thought the same thing. Like I had my head
down and then I looked up and I was like,
is this real? Like I thought there was something wrong
with my TV speakers, and then I just kept watching
and the look on everybody's face was like, what what
is happening here? And even Carl Ravitch couldn't I think
he made a comment afterwards because nobody nobody could figure it.
(08:37):
Like I thought it was a joke. I thought, Okay,
well is this I thought, also, is this somebody that's
from another country that's doing this? And then I realized,
well that would be dumb. Why would they bring somebody
from another country into singing our national anthem? Like I
sort of got all these thoughts are going through my head,
and then I just realized, Oh no, it just sucked
all it was, Eddie Garcia. You were outraged by the correct.
Speaker 6 (09:01):
I just want to share an honest to God's story.
It was it was playing upstairs. I was downstairs. I
thought something was happening with my dog. Yes, I thought
my dog was like distress, yelping or something.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Sounded, and then I figured what it was.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
I'm not kidding. I swear to you. I swear that's
what I thought.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
All right, who did it?
Speaker 5 (09:26):
Better?
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Let me let me hear your.
Speaker 8 (09:31):
Kenny.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Yeah, I would say that.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Original one's the first one. Yeah, that's enough.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
I don't want to keep reliving this. You should let me.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Tell you something like singing our national anthem, there should
be like you should get fined if you f it up,
that's correct.
Speaker 7 (10:26):
If you should be like tryouts like at a Major
League baseball if you ever listen.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
To her, if you decide that you're going to sing
our national anthem and you're going to sing it this way,
you should get fined. They should have came, They should
have escorted her off. Don't even let her finish, don't
even don't even don't.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
Even let her finish.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
This home, have a recording ready to go play the recording,
escort her off and give her a fine.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Security should have tacked dang, they should just taking her
down right.
Speaker 7 (11:01):
Someone should have said we're not going to let this
happen national anthem like this should or conspiracy theory side
of me is that Major League Baseball hired someone that
was going to be viral and so.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
Awful that was only up from there.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Dang, okay, I'm sure well.
Speaker 9 (11:25):
Bursting in air.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
So so if if Ingrid wins and is onto the final,
who will she be competing against none other Carl than
the goat?
Speaker 5 (11:47):
Still better than her? Still better? Can you see? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
But you know what, at least there was acknowledgment. And
this is a crap bag you guys are getting right now.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
You know what, you know?
Speaker 1 (12:15):
So at least, hey, I'm gonna I'm gonna make up
for it this time.
Speaker 8 (12:19):
If he acknowledged it in real time, the vocal range
like don't go up there, Carl, don't don't go up
all the way there.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Carl's was bad. But like over time you're like, you know, hey, no,
there's something.
Speaker 7 (12:37):
Can I put it this way, like when you hear
Carl Lewis sing, I go oh, he's got he's got
a voice like he can sing. He might have missed
the high page heights. I mean, that's that's tough for
a lot. Yeah, let's go back to Ingrid Andres.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
That's here.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
Right there.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
You already lost me.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
I don't want to go all in. I don't.
Speaker 7 (13:15):
Uses of a rich girl who may have been told
by her parents she was good at something which wasn't
for a long time.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
When you get out that auto time, it's homeschooled.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
And they thought, oh, this is a great idea.
Speaker 7 (13:29):
It's good for platform and or following, and then this
is what it turns out to be. Like this is
like someone being coddled to a certain age and not
being told you're not very good. But they're probably there's
probably someone behind her so wealthy they keep throwing money
at it to get her to be able to be
(13:50):
on a stage like this.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
I think she's going to go viral and become famous.
If shorty Girl could become famous with Hakua, well, and
you can back up that, you could jack up this
song and become if you want to be.
Speaker 7 (14:04):
Real, If you want to be real, bro, is that
famous just because you go like being viral and being famous,
to me, are not the same. You're going to viral
for something that like, all right, you made some comment
about you know where, we can't even get into what
it was, and so you go viral that.
Speaker 5 (14:23):
That doesn't make you famous. There's no talent, there's no skill,
there's there's nothing to that.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
Well people said that about the car.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
And and now they're really famous for real, And.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
Well, there's there's a talent. It's something there is.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Apparently she's got the same time. It's called open mic.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Damn.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
But I just I look at it and I go
and I see, I see the reaction, and I keep
waiting for her to release a statement or something like that,
and I think she's.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Going to release one.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
I hope to.
Speaker 7 (15:00):
How about this, how about this, Let's do this. Let's
give her the benefit of the doubt. All right, I've
been tough on her, ingrid Andre's.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
On dress dress.
Speaker 7 (15:10):
Let's listen to one of her songs, maybe a single.
She asked, tell me, Okay, let's do that, and let's
see if that's made.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Let's see what she got. Okay, she's one of them
type singers. Okay, what type singers that bad.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
Get? Hal smoke Weed Tour.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
Yeah, you get half drink, you get drunk.
Speaker 7 (15:29):
This this should be played in Gemo. I mean that
is that still open? Like if they punish prisoners this way?
Speaker 4 (15:36):
Dang, just say she actually doesn't sound bad here.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Now that's because you're it's the comp to what we
just heard, so anything would sound better. Carl Lewis sounded better.
It's not a bad it's not that bad. She's just
I mean, she just shouldn't have tracked to sing that
other song. That song sucked, and so did Rendition.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
I didn't say that it was a great song. I
just she didn't sound as bad as she did seeking
the National Anthem.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
And by the way, when they give out awards for
the Grammys, is it like somebody finishes last and then
somebody finishes in fourth place and like do they like that? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:16):
I just want to know, like how far down And
we haven't been up for an award at all? Well
think about it.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
And we can't get any help. I mean we've asked
Lee to like, you know, put our names in.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
That, and that's what they say. It's up to Lee.
What is going on here?
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Oh you're watching?
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (16:36):
This is next to Ken No that's uh, why what
is he doing road out the double deuce? Yeah? Wow,
they're at the double deuce right now? Good google aole.
I mean he's adjusting the temperatures in the rooms. All
(17:02):
all about it? Well, listen, hey, welcome to All Star
Game festivities in Major League Baseball. And glad they gave
us a lead off story.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Otherwise I mean, I just you know, I don't know.
I thought this was entertaining.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Grid. Just any any response? Do it in print. We've
heard what you had to say, and we don't need
to hear that again. Just tweet it, write it, put
it out there, and then we'll get we'll get the
very latest on her response to all this. But it
is two pros and a cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio. We are going to have the usuals
coming up later on. We do have another edition of
In case you missed it. We've also got another hot,
(17:42):
piping hot edition of would you Rather? An hour two
of the program, and we close up shop with you
and of you out John Paul Morose, he's going to
stop by. Maybe he's got some strong opinions on that
performance from last night. All of it is yours here
as we take you all the way up until nine
am Eastern time, six o'clock Pacific. Coming up next here though,
something was an in the NFL, but what the hell
took so long? We'll talk about it right here on FSR.

to the top. We've all used different tools.
Speaker 10 (18:45):
Listen to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer and Mental Wealth podcast
on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get podcasts.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LeVar Arrington Rady Quinn Jonas Knox with you here coming
up twenty minutes from now from the Tiraq dot Com studios.
You know, probably not the best look in the world
for somebody in the NFL. We will explain why that
is again twenty minutes from now here on FSR. So,
congratulations are in order for Calvin Johnson. About damn time.
(19:19):
Calvin Johnson's going to be inducted into the Pride of
the Lions Ring of Honor on September thirtieth, at halftime
of their Monday night game this season against the Seahawks.
Why the hell it took so long? I'm not quite sure,
but they have apparently mended fences. He's back. He's a
Hall of Famer. They wanted one point six million dollars
(19:40):
back from a signing bonus, which caused all sorts of
an issue, but nonetheless he will be celebrated on that
Monday night game. So Megatron getting a little bit of
love from his former team. You know, short career, but
a great Why did it take.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
Them so long?
Speaker 7 (19:53):
I mean he should have been immediately put into the
Ring of Honor Or with the Lions Pride they call it. Yeah,
is it more of a do thing that maybe that's
why they called the Lions Pride ors that has always
been called that.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
I mean, this is the new regime. They want to
bring everybody back. We've talked about it, all the former
players that are there, Barry Sanders, They've worked to repair
that relationship, you know, Chris Spielman, like all the everybody's
involvement there. I just wonder if this is just a
new regime that's like, all right, we got to pay
(20:28):
tribute to all of our greats. And now Calvin Johnson's
finally getting his opportunity.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
It's just weird.
Speaker 7 (20:34):
He goes into the Hall of Fame before he goes
into the Detroit Lions Ring of Honor, which you think
of the other way around.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
Yeahang, what dang? I mean think about it. I mean,
you go into the Hall of Fame before you go
into your team ring of honor. That that's kind of
of once.
Speaker 7 (20:50):
She wants to be like Lions and Duct, you know,
future Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson, instead of it being
lighted ducked Hall of Famer. It's like sounds great, but
it's like, well, wait, what took you guys so long?
Speaker 5 (21:02):
You played for you you watched it.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
I mean the Patriots have already done it for Brady.
I mean it broke the rule. Yeah, they didn't even
make it rule.
Speaker 5 (21:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
Wa.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
It just makes you wonder whether or not, you know,
the commanders are going to be kind of paying tribute
to all their you know, former grades as well too
at some point with the new regime there. You just
wonder if that's going to be uh going to.
Speaker 7 (21:26):
Be next like all the Yeah, even if they do
they put up like a stick figure figuring.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Yeah, so it's not really much of a or just
like you didn't look great on it the last time around.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
So I mean, just you know, like you know, bring
back some of the you know all time. You know,
what was the the top eighty commanders of the last
eighty years something like that. You can bring in like
a few of those guys probably, I'm sure, I mean
guys that have had multiple.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
I guess a stick city stick figuring would make sense.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
It's a great call. Yeah, Like that's a great call.
It has anybody reached out on behalf of the commandos
Lebar and No and said, would you like to come
back and be a part of the family again?
Speaker 4 (22:07):
Yes, yeah, yeah, but not like.
Speaker 5 (22:09):
No ring effects.
Speaker 7 (22:10):
What if they told you you could not say the
old team name, but the team you played. What was
the name of team you played for?
Speaker 4 (22:16):
I played for the Washington Rates. That's who I played for.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
What if they told you though you could not mention
your former team name?
Speaker 4 (22:25):
You said, probably really at this point doesn't matter, Like
it's probably a long shot that it ever is a thing.
Ever again, like I've accepted it. I'm sure they have.
So it's kind of like it is what it is,
you know. So I don't. I don't see, I don't really,
(22:47):
like I said, I tell you guys, I tell anybody.
I said. The only way I would ever really go
back is if it has to do like really like
has to do with the fans and with the community.
I go back, and it's for some first responders, it's
for our military. If it's for something like that, I'll
go back, and I'll be a part of it because
(23:08):
it's for our fans, it's for our our service members
and stuff like that. But I'm not going back just
to go back like it was such a bad it
went so it went so bad, it's just not even
you know, And I've tried. I've tried over the years
to kind of, you know, reconcile it, and it was
(23:28):
to no avail. So it's kind of, you know, kind
of a dead issue to me. So it wouldn't even
be a big deal to me one or the other.
Let's hope, you know, get you out there. I mean,
I mean, think about how many have you guys? How
many times have you been employed before?
Speaker 5 (23:46):
Now?
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Like?
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Have you had any other jobs since since playing in
the league? Q?
Speaker 5 (23:54):
I mean, I obviously work for different people.
Speaker 8 (23:56):
Now, but.
Speaker 5 (24:00):
Have you that was what I was growing up?
Speaker 1 (24:01):
No, I'm saying since you retired, have you worked for
anyone like before?
Speaker 4 (24:07):
Now?
Speaker 5 (24:08):
Like like a job, job like when I was young,
before I played.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
No, No, like after you probably didn't.
Speaker 5 (24:14):
I transitioned. I literally left. I left training camp. I
think it was like a Monday.
Speaker 7 (24:21):
Whenever I released, I went immediately to call a game
the next Saturday. I was in Fort Worth, Texas on
a Thursday. No idea what I was doing?
Speaker 4 (24:30):
What company?
Speaker 5 (24:31):
Did you call it? A game for Fox Sports?
Speaker 1 (24:33):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (24:33):
So you're still with Fox? Then, Well that's great, it's
worked out for you. I guess I was making a point.
I'll make the point is how many like former employer
employers do you have relationships with.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Most everyone? I mean I don't.
Speaker 7 (24:49):
The thing is like even the teams I left, it
was never contentious. I mean I got traded away by Cleveland.
But when I look back on all that, they have
a new owner, they are like maybe into the tens,
maybe not ten new general managers, but somewhere close head
coaches for sure around that number. Like it's when you
(25:12):
think about it, it's an entirely different organization than what
I had encompassed. So I just know on like even Denver,
like even when I was in Denver, it's a new
ownership group from the time I was there in twenty
ten to twenty eleven.
Speaker 5 (25:29):
Yeah, you go, you go through it, it's like there's
so much change.
Speaker 7 (25:31):
It's like you just there's there's no one there that
there's only a few people maybe when I go back
to Cleveland that are still there when I was there.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
And that's and that would be a major reason why
I would entertain it. It's because there's new ownership. Because
my beef was with the owner, not anyone else, little Danny,
little Danny, no one else. There was no there was
no other beef involved other than with the owner. I
mean that was it. You know, there might be some
fans that didn't like because of the Shawan Taylor, Hayes,
(26:02):
or just didn't want to like Taylor. I mean I
put a pie in his face and it went it
went way left, and it turned into a thing. And
then it was on Football Story. So then I had
more people left football. Yeah, it was all.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
It was featured in a Football Life.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
It just he just had way left.
Speaker 4 (26:23):
Just he handed someone else. No, no, it hit him,
but it just you know, he just kind of you
know the way it was handled, he just kind of
got anyway, I've heard this.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
No, the point.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
The point is is that that like literally for a time,
became what I was known for, Like I wasn't even
known for playing balls.
Speaker 8 (26:47):
You're the guy that did that, Sean Taylor. All right,
So since you're on the topic, I don't like to
do it.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
It's so dumb.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Well, okay, so because I I have questions because I
watched the Football Life documentary on Sean Taylor, and it
was feature there where.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
It was like it ruined his ruined the media's relationship
with Sean, like he never trusted the media again, it's like,
how does him getting at I don't want to say
the sea work because it's like it could be interpreted
like the wrong way in this you know, in this context.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Cream pot. Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 8 (27:25):
I don't like saying it. I don't like saying it.
I thought you did like it, but so the so
you know, that's all right exactly.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
That's what was it, shaving cream.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
It was cream and it irritated him and he handled
it that way and was it on like a paper
plate or like a towel. It was on a towel
and it was just like a pop, like like just
a touch, and it just like I think it caught
him off guard. It embarrassed him, and it was looking
it up. He's trying to find it figures quick as.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
I'm trying to. Anyway, I had no awareness of this whatsoever.
Speaker 9 (28:05):
Yeah, it happened, and and it was like, were you
playing at this point.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Where you already was playing?
Speaker 5 (28:11):
Okay, that's what I don't mean. That's got my head shaved, rookie.
Speaker 4 (28:16):
I did some crazy things, hazing people like I've done.
I've done all stuff you can't talk about. I got
me that was an easy one. But it turned into
a thing. I never hazed anybody after that, but I mean,
we take people to gold posts and put the water,
the automatic water hose on them. We've I've put foot
(28:38):
icy hot and got compressions or jock straps. I froze
a helmet before I put water in a helmet and
put his helmet in the freezer. I've done some wild
s on hazing guys. Not nothing crazy though, like never
hurt anybody or meant to hurt anybody. It's just one
of those moments where I hit Sean. It was in
(29:01):
front of the media. It hit him the wrong way,
and like he reacted to it the wrong way, and
he was into a story, turned into a thing, and
then now it was like a big thing.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Like you it seemed like he was embarrassed.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
That's what it was.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
That's what it was, and then it became it is.
Speaker 5 (29:18):
What it is.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Man. I'm not happy about it, like like that's part
of you know, Like it seemed like it became like
a major part of what I was remembered for, which
is kind of dumb, for all the stuff that I
did and you know, on the field, in the community,
but it is what it is. I mean, you know,
obviously his story is his story, and it's like it's
a part of uh, you know, what would be a
(29:39):
tragic story, you know. But then it didn't help that,
you know, certain certain people that was close with him,
you know, apparently he had his issues with me, which
I didn't realize that that port has had issues with me,
but he seemingly did, and so he would say certain
things and then that would kind of perpetuated a little
(30:01):
bit more and then turned into a thing. And it
was like, you know, I don't even really feel the
need to defend myself, you know, against the situation, but
nonetheless that's what it was. But anyways, I digress. I
mean the whole idea of of going back and being
a part of you know, I know that that Calvin
Johnson wasn't was it was it contentious a little bit
(30:25):
for him when he left. Yeah, it was a little
bit contentious. Right.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
He wanted his sign like they wanted him to give
back his signing bonus.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Right, That's what it was. And that's what I think
at one point six million, and he felt like he
was owed money too, right, like they owed him money.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
I believe he I think he thought that it was,
you know, after everything we've been through, you're going to
ask for the money back. And you know his I
think he like lost part of a finger, didn't he
or something like that, like yeah, but it was just
it was.
Speaker 7 (30:55):
Part of the signing bus that want it back because
he kind of retired, retired unexpectedly, right right.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
It's just always been kind of weird to me that
him and Barry Sanders like their career kind of like
a mirror the same thing. They both had a falling
out with the organization and we're like, f this, I'll
just retire early.
Speaker 5 (31:14):
I don't need to be a part of this.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
And that was it, and then now they're being glad
that they're making it right man, you know, and there's
two great players. I mean, I don't know how we
got on me because I'm not I'm not that level.
I didn't accomplish at that level at the pro level.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
But but it I think you mentioned it.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
If no, I didn't mention it, I think you would
ask because it says here on the rundown, and so
people know this is not we're telling the truth here
all right on the rundown. It says here. And make
sure that LeVar makes it about himself. He says it
right there.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
He doesn't say that. I believe he said. You asked
the question, had I worked for anyone else? After playing right?
And I think we discovered no.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
But you guys hit me with the what team did
I play for? And would you say it? Or would
you go back? Or whatever? Anyway, I didn't bring it up.
Yeah I did.
Speaker 8 (32:05):
I just I just I just addressed it. There's no
way I had regular job. After my friend brought it up.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
After my first rule to take after my first radio
gig fell apart, I had regular jobs.
Speaker 4 (32:19):
Do you talk Do you talk to your telemarketing people?
Speaker 1 (32:24):
No? I got fired, do you I mean I got
fired because I was applying for radio jobs.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
I was on the clock. Do you communicate with them?
Do you go back? You need to go back. See,
that's kind of how I approached former employers. I don't
and I had a great experience in New York, but
I just don't.
Speaker 5 (32:40):
Just because they let you go or you kind of
agree to go your separate ways. You're like, I'm out,
I just be out.
Speaker 4 (32:46):
Yeah, I just I just I just move on, like
I don't really look back. I don't know, like I don't.
I had a great time in New York. I don't
talk to them. I had a great time at at
the Washington Post, I wrote for the Post.
Speaker 5 (32:59):
You like that with yourlationships too, Yeah, just yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
When I move on, I'm gone, Like I'm up. Man,
there's like life is too short, Like I don't really
turn back, like you think about.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Dusting one off?
Speaker 4 (33:10):
They said, they said that. Uh, you know, spaceships don't
come equipped with rearview mirrors. You know what I mean.
I just did.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
But I think they could travel in time. But that
doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
Well, is it back or is it forward? I'll travel
I'll travel forward in time. I wouldn't travel back.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
Why not because you never think like if I could
turn back?
Speaker 4 (33:34):
You never, I mean no, no, everything has its perfect time,
it's place, the reason for the season, and once it.
Speaker 5 (33:43):
Happened better ingrid undressed.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
That was, yeah, it was.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
You sound like Adam Sandler, Like you guys should be
like a like a group and you know, singing together, remember.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
Disrespect Adam Sandler and the genius of Adam Sandler. You
remember his his singing slop oh slopper shlap.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
I mean he had a great, great little little run
there with he.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
Could actually sing, though, I just like do it for
three seconds.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
All right, Well Lee's panicking back there, so oh yeah,
you SHU get to absolutely scolded.

Speaker 11 (35:25):
Lab Good morning, guys, Good morning, Brandy, Good morning, the bar,
good morning showed us.
Speaker 12 (35:29):
Good morning everybody, guys. In case this hey LaVar uh.
Speaker 11 (35:34):
Possibly worrisome update Onlee, Hey Brady on Viking's wide.
Speaker 12 (35:38):
Receiver Jordan Addison. Of course we heard a few days ago.
He was arrested Friday for suspicion.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
Of a dui.
Speaker 11 (35:44):
Fell asleep at the wheel of his Rolls Royce on
the one oh five out here in Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
On the freeway on the freeway.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Let's sleep behind the wheel on the freeway.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
In the middle of it, in one of the laws,
in one of the lanes.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Yeah, because there was a stall in the free were like, hey,
this car's not moving. Maybe they got engine problems, now
you got liver problems.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
The wheel.
Speaker 11 (36:07):
And now just two days after that, on his Instagram,
he posted a picture of himself by himself in a
patio out here in Los Angeles, enjoining what looks like
a very large mimosa.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Does be orange juice?
Speaker 12 (36:18):
Well, there's a big bottle champagne there, so in the way.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
Of that, just be He's also, is this any different
from your social media page?
Speaker 12 (36:27):
I don't post that, nothing like that. I'm good man,
bang bang.
Speaker 11 (36:31):
And he also has apparently scrubbed all mentions of the
Minnesota Vikings from all of his social media.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Well, it's their fault, you know, it's their fault that
he uh, you know, started bending the elbow a little
bit or too early and got behind the wheel. Can
I give you a theory as to what happened? So
where he was found asleep at the wheel is right
next to lax. I wonder if he was on a
flight and got butchered and then got off the flight
(37:00):
and tried to drive home and realize, you know what,
my bed's comfortable and.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
All, but this will do, and just decided he was
going to sleep. I mean, the new type of what
an idiot. High priced cars? Are they really are like
a moving hotel? Man, I'll tell you that I'm moving.
Speaker 8 (37:18):
You know.
Speaker 7 (37:18):
Well, here is where it get It gets interesting. So
we'll get into the Kaitleb Williams conversation in a little while.
At some point he hasn't sign his contract. Of the
two things, you can negotiate the timing of when you
receive your signing bonus all up front or later on.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
And offsets.
Speaker 7 (37:38):
The third thing is guarantees and how some of those
guarantees can be avoided for things like player misconduct. So
you got to wonder too, if he's upset with the
Vikings because of an incident like this, maybe they informed
him like, we got to take out some guarantees within
your deal. He was a first round pick, Just saying
(37:59):
kind of interesting. If he's discrbed with the Viking, He's
not sure why, but maybe they're frustrated with how he's
conducted himself and what he's.
Speaker 5 (38:06):
Done so far.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
And on top of all that, he just had a teammate,
Kyrie Jackson, get killed by a suspected drunk driver. Yeah,
what are you doing?
Speaker 5 (38:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (38:16):
And this also last year, remember there was that weird
story where he got popped for going like one hundred
and forty miles an hour, and this story that came
out was like he was trying to help his dog
or like he needed to get his dog to the
vet or some crap like that guy's a disaster.
Speaker 4 (38:34):
But okay, I hope he gets the necessary help that
he needs.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
By the way, Lee thoughts on the champagne that he
was using for that mimosa.
Speaker 12 (38:44):
Well, the mimosa is so big that you can't see
what kind of champagne it is.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Maybe it was non alcoholic, could.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
Be very well, could Well, that's common. Yeah, you see
a lot of bottles of those everywhere.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
Yeah, you know, like ciders or something like that.
Speaker 12 (38:57):
You know, it seems like he's a join it all
to himself though, whatever it.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
Is, that's probably some VU sounds like you le clicko,
I know, enjoy it. Don't necessarily need to post it.
Not judging, Yeah, don't do that here, gott to poast
(39:22):
your business.
Speaker 12 (39:23):
Boy, yes, sir, taking out Todd from the airport right
after the show.
Speaker 7 (39:31):
Right back at itfic jam on the highway.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
See if car y'all be past
