I like hate watching things. Sometimes you ever hate watch something?

Speaker 2 (01:30):
No, there's a lot of those people in the world.
They hate watch.

Speaker 7 (01:34):
Yeah, they hate what Sometimes you watch. Sometimes you watch
a team to root against them. Dang, I root against
this movie passionately.

Speaker 6 (01:42):
Are you rooting against Leonardo DiCaprio.

Speaker 7 (01:45):
I'm no, I'm not always rooting against him, but in
this movie, I am. I was just watching Departed yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Great. Were you rooting against him in that one?

Speaker 7 (01:52):
No, no, you're root for him.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Were you rooting for Jack in that one? Get that
button ready, Lorrene?

Speaker 8 (01:58):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
No, were you rooting against Jack? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (02:01):
I was rooting for Jack and that one. Are you
kidding me?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
What are you rooting for him?

Speaker 6 (02:05):
Hit it?

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Hit it? Hit it right now? Hit it, hit it,
hit the rook Thank you.

Speaker 7 (02:11):
I don't know why that would be crazy?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Oh really, you don't.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
You don't remember the right out the gate how Jack
came into the movie.

Speaker 7 (02:18):
Oh yeah, but later Oh, he makes it later though.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Yeah, well yes he does.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
It's not how you start how you finished a lee.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
That's a great point. He does make up for it later.
She brought a friend, Yeah she did.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Interesting.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Well, listen, we are off and running here on a
Wednesday morning hour or two. Hey, you remember when we
were having this discussion about, you know, this potential eighteen
game season and Roger Goodell kind of hinted at it
and we said it over under it like a year
and a half or something like that, or two years.

Speaker 6 (02:52):
Whatever it was.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
I feel like we might have overestimated the NFL's ability
to get the nfl PA agree to an eighteen game season,
because the NFLPA executive director Lloyd Howell told the Washington
Post that the PA and the league have talked, quote
at a very very very high level about the potential
of having an eighteenth game and what it would look like.

(03:15):
So basically, this is probably going to be implementing what
twenty twenty five. You think in next year they're going
to figure out eighteen games If we're we're not even
at twenty twenty four and they're already having conversations about this.
This feels like this is going to happen way sooner
than maybe anybody expected.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
You, Okadie to me, Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Don't know, I don't know you.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
I don't know if it's gonna be happening sooner than
be expected. I think once the rumors about an eighteenth
game came out, everyone in their mind's like, well, yeah,
that makes sense. Why don't we want seventeen games? Which
it did feel like an awkward number. But if you're
trying to milk all you can that of the media

(04:02):
rights deals from the TV networks, you incrementally increase to
then get the revenue up which it will get up
there eventually based on what we're seeing from the revenue
growth of the league. But the more interesting part of this,
and I'm going to get on a soapbox for a second,
is if you are the NFLPA, you have this window

(04:24):
in time, you have this golden opportunity, and you got
a couple of swings at it. Eighteen games is one.
When this league goes to twenty games, that's two whatever
monumental change. If you are a part of the NFLP
that you want to create forever for the players, I'm
doing now, it's now, This is it and if you don't,

(04:44):
you have forever lost whatever leverage, whatever opportunity exists that's
out there. This is it, Like, this is the one
thing that I think you have in your back pocket.
Everyone understands in order to grow to the league with
the way their owners want to, the way everyone kind
of wants to ultimately, but specifically the owners, it's the

(05:04):
amount of games. And you are the players. You're the
ones putting your body through all of the wear and tear,
putting your body at risk your future well being. This
is your opportunity. And if you think, by the way,
if you think the contracts are crazy, now just wait
until we get to eighteen to twenty games. I mean,
that's going to continue to increase. And that's one of
the reasons why I think a lot of players understand,

(05:26):
especially at the top of the market at their positions,
why they want eighteen and twenty games. And it's always
the top of the market players, the guys who are
the best in the league that tend to push these
initiatives amongst the rest of the players in the NFL,
even if it's not in their best interest, doesn't matter.
So this is it, like the players finally have leverage.

(05:50):
They finally have an opportunity to be able to get
what they want. You get, you know, one thing, but
get what you want. I I hope they do. I
hope they take advantage of this opportunity.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Who well, I know, hearing you know Kittle talk about
the eighteen games, hearing.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Who is the quarterback that that said have the was
it Burrow that said have the.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Two by weeks and then do a pro voal right, yeah, so,
but I kind of felt like the handwriting was on
the wall in terms of, you know, the eighteen games
and having those having those soundbites from those quotes from players,
current players and big name players. All that that said

(06:40):
to me is that the conversations are ensuing.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
So to your point, Q.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I wonder how how much conversation about what we want
as players, how much of those conversations are taking place,
and how much of them are being dictated to the
new league guy at the PA, and and what because

(07:06):
we have not heard that, Like we continue to hear
about the eighteen games, but we don't hear anything about
any details of the concessions of what will be what
will be put in place if this this this next
game is added or even moving into the realm of twenty.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Games one less one less preseason game, like and who's
playing how many like actual stars and starters are playing
in that third preseason game.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
That's why they don't care.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yes, but again I think there's like I think there's
a bigger the bigger play here is what Q is
talking about in terms of leveraging for like, I'm sitting here,
ice in my back right now. I got a big
ass bag of ice on my back right now.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Because my little as your back, it's my lower back.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Is Like, It's just, bro, I am more comfortable being
in a line backers stance posture than I am standing
straight out. So anyway, I'm trying to be serious here,
Jonas got.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Bro, what trying to make you feel better?

Speaker 2 (08:13):
You are not a linebacker?

Speaker 6 (08:14):
What do you mean anyway? In all seriouses to your
point though, like we've talked about this, how is there
not lifetime healthcare? Like just it doesn't make sense. Yeah,
that's you know.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
It's to me again, it would be interesting if with
all of these conversations surrounding the expansion of the league,
the games, the amount of games, are we going to
hear any.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Details about how these these.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Athletes are going to be taken care of, you know,
during and post more so probably post career.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Like it's always it's always like these things.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
You got to go through, these long ass drawn out
processes to be able to to get you know, some
of the some of the benefits of what it is
that you get by playing in the league.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
And I'm not complaining about it.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
I mean, for me, I feel like I've done you know,
I've had great guys, you know, Troy Vincent and all
those guys have really done a really excellent job of
like walking guys.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Through what they needed to do.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
But it almost like, I don't know, you tell me,
c but it almost at some point in time, it
almost seems like it's like it's almost like it's a
lot of fluff and turned like almost like gimmicky or scammy,
like you gotta do this, you gotta do that, you
gotta go see this doctor, you gotta go you gotta
talk to this legal firm, you gotta do that.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Da da da da da da da da da da.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
It's like to me, it's like, why do I have
to do all of those things? I didn't have to
do all of those things when I was playing. You
made everything very readily available, very accessible, and now it's
like you got to go through all of these gymnastics
to be able to do it. I just wonder, are
we going to hear any details about that type of

(10:03):
conversation moving into expanding the amount of games or is
it because they're making the game air quote so much
more safer. The practices are so much less, you know,
grueling on the bodies, and that is that what they're
looking at as well, here's what we've done to make
it easier to make it to eighteen games.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
You don't practice is hard.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
You don't practice as long you're not on the field
as much like we've taken out guys being able to
maim you and hit but you and all kinds of
stuff on.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
The field and hip drop tackle you and all that stuff.
So that's I.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Mean, you're getting what you want. I wonder if that's
how the league is looking at it.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Maybe.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
I'm sure that's their argument for it. I mean, if
you're the players, you have to put up a fight
like it would be a monumental task fel to play
eighteen games. That's why I've continually they said there's too
many players talking about the inevitability of playing it. But
here's the question I really want to ask, Hey, Jonas,
do you care as someone who consumes the NFL, Like

(11:05):
that's one of the issues that I think, Oh, it
always comes down to, is you say more games? Most fans,
I think, go, yeah, oh, we're rent I mean, why
is it not happening?

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (11:14):
The players want more of the players with this, like
all of a sudden, they become the bad.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Guys, right, Like I was, I just look at it
the same way I look at the college the college
football playoff expansion, Like I didn't think it was necessary
for a long time to go from four to twelve
or whatever it was, And I pushed back on it
for a long time, and then I just realized, what's
the point. It's going to end up there anyway, So
why even take a second to waste my thought or

(11:39):
waste a care in the world to your point about
whether or not we're going to get to twelve games.
It's going to happen because the money's there. And with this,
once they went from sixteen to seventeen, I was like, okay,
it's like, you know, they just they were slowly moving
towards this and then once we get to eight, like
I'm I'm fully anticipating they're going to get back to
having two bye weeks in each conference in the NFL playoffs,

(12:01):
and we're going to get eight playoff teams. Maybe that's
part of this whole conversation. Like I just I look
at it, and I go every time they they moved
slowly towards something, it's not the only move they're making.
There's something else to fall in line. And the fact that, yeah,
George Kittle spoke about it, and other players have spoken
about it.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
I mean Joe Burrow.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Look, I'm still trying to figure out why the hell
what he did with his hair, Like, I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
I don't know what the bleaching is.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Yeah, I didn't know that was in again.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
I had no idea to the next level, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
Yeah, I had no idea that was in again.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
But I just looked at it and I said, we're
gonna end up at this point eventually.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Macaulay Culkin a little bit, yes, okay, not even okay,
all right, I was just curious anymore if Macaulay Caulkin
had like grown up from a childhood star and like
had muscles and could throw the football.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
It would be like Joe Burrow anyway, that's just a
you know, I'm with you there.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
I don't care.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
I mean, but the point is, like we all knew
this is where it was going to get to, and
the fact that they're speaking so openly about it.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Do you think if Michael Jackson was still alive, he
would see mcaulay Culkin and Joe Burrow and come to
the support and aid of all of the NFL players
and say, hey, if you guys are going to play
eighteen games, you need to get these guys a whole
lot of the things that it is that they're looking
for benefits wise.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Do you think that's what.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
If I were an NFL player, I'd ask for him
to stay the hell away from me. Oh wow, yeah,
go ahead and steer clear of that.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
I think that Mike Michael Jackson would have became like
the leader of the NFL PA and would have led
to charge.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
You remember Michael Jackson who played for the Brow.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
He probably would have told him, like, all I got
to say is that they don't really care about us.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
Remember Brady was.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Really well played tagline, well play. I'm looking at the
man in the mirror.

Speaker 6 (14:06):
What you see?

Speaker 2 (14:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
I mean, I don't know. It is a it is
a great point.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Do you remember well play Do you remember.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
The Michael Jackson who played for the Browns back in
the day years ago, and when they would do highlights
Chris Berman and Tom Jackson. Every time they would do
a Michael Jackson highlight, Tom Jackson would go he he, I.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Swear to guy there were one of the Yeah, they
were great.

Speaker 4 (14:35):

What the real knocks?

Speaker 2 (17:01):
Please?

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Stand up? And repeating please Jonas Knox stand up. Oh wow,
that's something you would say too.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
Who would say that?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Well, that's something that Lee would say when he walked
into the room.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Yeah, there you go with his black band aid on him.
Dang didn't even have a cut and he's wearing a
bunch of him right.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Now right Look see, I'm wanting you. What do you
mean you act like you've never seen me before. Look
at this band.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Aid, just still lighting the fact that you were able
to put that together in real time.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
You're like, Lee, he's got a black manddate on.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
My budde's on your lips, My buddets on your lips.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Oh my gosh, Hey Lee, did you feel like empowered?
Did you feel powerful with that black man band aid on?

Speaker 2 (18:03):
That black person band aid on?

Speaker 6 (18:05):
Like?

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Did it make you feel strong? Like?

Speaker 6 (18:07):
What?

Speaker 2 (18:07):
What? What would like?

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Did you feel a sense of pride when when that
band like you you see me?

Speaker 2 (18:13):
When Raina gave you.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
That that that band aid, did you like feel like like, yeah,
you see me?

Speaker 2 (18:18):
You know who I am? Like I felt after the
essence of who I am?

Speaker 7 (18:22):
No, I just felt right at home, very natural. It
felt naturally, felt natural.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Did it did it blend in with with your skin?

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Like did you feel like it was blending like like
this really really fits me?

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (18:35):
It felt it felt one with the spirit.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
You know what I mean like that's what I felt
you felt like Lorrain at that pool party?

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Like did your did your vertical go up? Like? Did
you feel like you were like super League at that point?

Speaker 5 (18:46):
All of a sudden he conduct a basketball. Oh, I
don't know what it is? My forty time drop three seconds?

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Hey? Did this? Did his game get better? Did he did?
He did? He shoot some lines at you.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Loreena, and his game was better, Like it seemed a
little bit smoother.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
They had a little bit more to it, like it
was some girl.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
All I know is all I know is I walked
by the bathroom. But I could just hear lace. I
hear liay man, this water's cold?

Speaker 5 (19:27):
Must be.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Can I go on?

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Oh man? Oh man? Well that's good. I'm happy for you.

Speaker 6 (19:43):
Are you still wearing the band?

Speaker 2 (19:46):
That's a great question.

Speaker 7 (19:48):
Well, as you guys know, I don't usually put ointments
or band aids on anything.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
That's what and has no problem having dnim on top
of it.

Speaker 7 (19:59):
Wait, well it's still scarred my knee from the rugburd.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
I thought you was gonna lose your leg. Man, honest,
I didn't know what what direction that.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Was on LeVar, Why did you get nauseous they're thinking
about that, what's.

Speaker 6 (20:14):
Ointments and they said his knee.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
It just makes you start thinking about how his need looked.

Speaker 7 (20:23):
Yeah, uhide.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Just rubbed open wounds do not have like you know,
like some of them are tolerable like you see some
people with like wounds like Lee's open wound. The last
time that knee, man, that was just really a gross
looking deal.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Man.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
This just really just like it gets me every time when.

Speaker 6 (20:45):
You your knee looked like it was a homeless students,
it's been outside and years, that's what.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
It didn't look like it was gonna go well. Man,
I'm telling you was act like Mercer. It's like you
was so relaxed about it too.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
You know, it's all right, jeans on, Like the wound
is still open, bro, Like what are you putting jeans
on it for?

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Like dang, imagine imagine really did end up getting MRSA
playing football catching a football radio room.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I mean make for a hell of a story.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
But man, Bro, like you on you on crutches now,
like you use it like you're using a cart to
get around all.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
All the afflictions you could get in Vegas out there
for an entire week and Lee catches MRSA because jeans
were dirty.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Bro, his knee was like three different colors around that
he's talking about. It was fine, like one part of
it was green, another part of it.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Was like yellow. Like, eh, it just it just didn't
look right, man.

Speaker 5 (21:56):
Just the fact that you look you get not like.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
The inside of a horrid boiled egg that was cut
in half. Like that's what it is?

Speaker 6 (22:07):
That a current photo of your.

Speaker 7 (22:09):
That is I just took that photo.

Speaker 6 (22:12):
Bro. It is almost the end of July, and your
knee still looks like that after falling in February.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
That scar is real. Ain't for you?

Speaker 6 (22:24):
Your genetics you need help.

Speaker 5 (22:25):
Wait a second, your.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
Genetics need help. You need to put some stuff on.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
I think that might be getting worse. What what's going
on here?

Speaker 7 (22:37):
I like to remember my battle scars, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 5 (22:39):
That's you're gonna remember that one when it puts.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
You stumbled over your own foot, Like, what do you mean?
Battle scar?

Speaker 1 (22:46):
It's that looks like still that was still one of
the most awkward tumbles I've seen.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
Yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Really do wish I could have seen it twinkled toes.
He'd be running on its toes. They got one of
the funniest runs I've ever seen in my entire life.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
But that looks like a UFO on your knee like that.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
It looks like an unidentified flying object with power running
around it, like circling around it.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
That does not look good, Bro.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
That is one of the most hideous scars I've ever
seen in my entire life. Man, Like, it just looks
like it's still active underneath. It decided to heal, like superficially,
but under the surface, it's really still bad.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
I'm just telling you, man, Dang, I feel for you. Man,
you know I feel for you, all right.

Speaker 5 (23:41):
I can't believe that's still going on. I thought it
was healed. It got worse, all right.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Well then, I mean, you know, I don't know if
you're interested, but if you do, need to cover that up.
There are some black band aids in the medicine cabinet still,
so that there's a possibility, all right. Well, it's everybody's team,
favorite team to talk about, especially on this show, especially
you guys.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
The New York Jets.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Not Aaron Rodgers' story, a non Aaron Rodgers story involving
the New York Jets. It's asan Reddick who they acquired
this offseason from the Eagles, and apparently he's not showing
up to camp. And I guess this was not the plan,
or at least not the discussion that they had that
according to S and Y reporter Connor Hughes, who broke

(24:30):
it all down.

Speaker 8 (24:31):
Before the Jets acquired Reddick in a trade from the
Philadelphia Eagles, they offered him an extension. It wasn't going
to be anything crazy, but it would have given him
a raise on the fourteen point five unguaranteed million he
is set to make this year.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Reddick said no.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
The Jets said, that is fine.

Speaker 8 (24:45):
We can discuss a potential adjustment to your current deal,
basically taking some of that unguaranteed money and converting it
to guaranteed salary, maybe adding some incentives with any kind
of major lucrative extension. We're not going to talk about
that until you are here and you perform on the
field for us.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Reddick, he was on board with that.

Speaker 8 (25:01):
He told the team and members of the team he
was going to be here for the off season program,
was going to be here for Mini camp, and was
going to be here for training camp. Earn that mega
money extension at some point between those discussions that he
had with the Jets during his physical and now something
changed because Reddick he did not show up for the
offseason voluntary program, he was not here for mandatory mini camp,
and now his training camp begins. He is not here

(25:22):
in the Jets, they're not sure when he plans on
showing up.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
Oops.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
Yeah, let me let me translate for you guys. Okay,
Hassan Reddick did exactly what he should do in this case,
because how many times have we heard teams say they're
going to offer this or do this and do that
and then they don't. So this is all part of
the tactic. He probably knew the Eagles weren't going to
pay him what he wanted to be paid on an
extension he got the Jets to trade for him, told him, yeah,

(25:49):
I'll show up for everything. I'll be a part of
all of it, and they were dumb enough to not
keep long term extension done before he got there. That
is completely on the Jets. This is entirely mismanaged. If
you're a Jets fan and you want to be Matta
Hassan Reddick, you shouldn't be because on the flip side
of this is always the conversation where a player, all right,

(26:10):
gets taken advantage of by an organization. This is one
where the player is finally taking advantage of the organization.
It's very rare this happens, and obviously the organization looks
terrible for trading for a guy you knew needed extended.
I mean, you even made the offer, and just because
he said no or however the conversation went, it clearly

(26:32):
wasn't good enough. And so this was always a potential.
This is always a possibility. And once he obviously got
traded there, now he's got all the leverage, because what
are they gonna do if he doesn't come out there
on the field of this window of time you have
with Aaron Rodgers, you look like a clown for not
being figuring out a way of extending him and give
him what he wants.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Well, I'll just I'll just say this, when when you
run into a situation like this and you get this
far down the road of not handling.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
It, it.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Could go one or two ways, right, it could work
itself out, and it's a distant memory to everyone that
there was you know, there was some confusion at some point,
or it could play out and if the New York
Jets don't show that they can, you know, get to

(27:29):
the quarterback or have somebody that's effective off of the edge,
whatever it is that they were going to get from
the services of Hassan Reddick, it's going to come back
on them as to why didn't they handle it differently,
which y'all know where I'm going with this. Then now

(27:50):
becomes if they're not doing what they're supposed to do
as a team. Now it opens up the conversation of
why do the New York York Jets not do what
it is that they need to do to make sure
that they're putting their team in the best position to
win games. Then it comes back to how do you

(28:12):
handle this situation where your star football player, your franchise
quarterback that you've got only gotten four plays from, not
be at a practice that was mandatory, but he was
unexcused every single thing, it starts to be brought up,
and it starts to be talked about, and it starts

(28:33):
to be scrutinized because you're always looking for why it's
going wrong for this team that's in a major Why
are you.

Speaker 5 (28:41):
Saying they're not buttoned up there in New York with
the Jets.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
I'm just saying, that's how the media works, and I
think that type of market.

Speaker 6 (28:50):
I think LeVar is starting to convince me maybe it's
not gonna go off. I think it might be right.
The more this goes on and the more I hear
LeVar talk about him, like, oh man, he's gonna be
right right.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
I saw somebody somebody yesterday made the tell me if
you guys buy this. Somebody yesterday made the point that
Joe Douglas is in a tough spot because he doesn't
want to set a precedent that a player can pull this,
and that he just gets rewarded with more money, and
that there's other players who are there in similar situations
than which I don't know if there's anything to that,

(29:27):
but it does feel like they kind of butchered this
thing from the jump and we're kind of sitting around
waiting and see how it unfolds.

Speaker 6 (29:33):
Precedent Like you're setting the precedent wrong in either way,
either you should have traded for him correct when he
turned down the offer that you made for him for
an extension, knowing he'd wont an extension. I mean, was
it a secret when they traded for him. I'm sure
they were well aware that based on his sack production
the last four years, they probably looked at him and said, yeah, like,

(29:55):
this is gonna be a guy that we want to
you know, be here for the next you know, two, three,
four years, whatever it is. We need to extend them
to make sure he's happy. Otherwise we should do this trade.
How that conversation didn't happen, How that you know the
deal didn't get done before they traded is beyond me.
I just who cares about a precedent Like you've already
set the bad precedent of being willing to trade for

(30:19):
a player that you might not extend and that is
going to be disgrumbled. I mean, it'll come down to
the end of if he's going to show up or not,
because if he doesn't show up, he's gonna be subject
to fines. And you're gonna be finding a guy who
you brought into being an edge rusher for you at
a need and the guy's even walk in the front
door because you got off to a bad start. I mean,
it's just the whole thing. It just exemplifies why I

(30:43):
feel like the Jets can't just figure this out and
then get over the hump to focus on football. There's
always some sort of off season drama. And to Lvar's point,
he said this for a while. Now, if I'm a
Jets fan, I would start to be really frustrated with
the fact that we've got the quarterback we want, but
now he gets hurt. Now, well, now he's back healthy,

(31:06):
and the issues whatever happens with that. We've we've built
around the quarterback spot. The old line is better, the
wide receiver corp is better, all these things, and that
they still can't seem to figure it out.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
It's someone like Lebar you obviously a great defender, Like
if you were in this similar situation, wouldn't you appreciate
I mean, at least they could do is like call
you be a radio or something, right, you know, like
use a radio to get in touch with you if
they wanted to get this deal done.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Man, If that's yeah, I mean, listen when you're looking
at it from them, Well, the situation that he would
be talking about, Q is that of well, using that
that nice little radio system that we always talk about
us And yeah, that's right. Look he's talking about.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
You know what, Q.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
He's talking about how we could do that push the
talk walkie talkie offering national LTE coverage.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
If we need to get in contact with one another,
we don't need a subscription or a monthly feel to
all of that. We just need to be business owners
that could keep it in touch with up to two
hundred staff at one time. Can you imagine that that's
a whole lot of people to keep in contact with
the hit Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 6 (32:17):
Right?

Speaker 1 (32:18):
And it's a great alternative to a mobile phone for
your kids or to your players that you want to
get into camp and get a contract done with. You
could go to wrap it radios dot com now for
sixty percent off free shipping at Coat Radio and get
an extra five percent off. That's sixty five percent, y'all

(32:40):
our thanks to Rapid Radios, the official communication device of
Fox Sports Radio. Hey y'all hear that New York Jets,
make sure you get that Rapid radio to hassan Reddit,
so y'all could do do do him and let them
know it's okay to come to training camp and it's
okay for y'all to actually have a team that has
drama going on.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Y'all just preparing for a season.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
How about that that's right there, you go wrap it
Radio dot Com.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
Oh yeah, I actually, I actually think they need a
full time playing a subscription with Rapper. It sounds like
they're gonna be inn Emergency situations need that radio more often.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Dam they needed that rapid radios when I guess, uh,
we couldn't figure out that Aaron Rodgers was in Egypt.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
Hey Aaron Rodgers, what should we say about where you at?
Right now? Where you is player?

Speaker 6 (33:36):

Do you remember when we were filling in on Dan
Patrick and Joel For some reason, nobody called for played
the most grotesque part drop of all time. LaVar got
so hard, just says you better check your pants play off.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Play Off. That was one of the wet fart dips
I ever heard him that it was bad.

Speaker 5 (34:18):
How the hell it was so good?

Speaker 2 (34:22):
It was so good, it was.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Long, it was dang, that was the funniest part dropping
your pants play Uh, it came out of nowhere.

fart drop players of all time.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
Roberto called into the show before before you guys, well,
I think he was Ben and the elbow at the
Dodger game, wasn't he?

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Come on, I think.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
He was stupid mean.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
The game, wasn't he He was getting uh yeah, a
little Bert.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
My favorite about Berto is how even keeled he is.
He just sends a tweet out that says love Dodger Stadium, man,
like my favorite place on Earth.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
F the Giants.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Well that's that. Also that's Berto.

There are some good things that happen and there's some
bad and then there's some downright ugly things.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
It's time for good bad and luckily.

Speaker 5 (37:24):
All right lead the lab who's got what well?

Speaker 7 (37:26):
As we do each and every Wednesday, we start with
the good and this week Levars delivered the good.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
I'm delivering the good. I thought it was me delivering
the bad, but anyways, I'll take it. Definitely looking at
the good versus the bad. This week, Well, I'm looking
at those All Stars for the WNBA with Caitlin Clark
getting guarded by Plumb and company full court to try
to keep her from scoring, and she's still hitting assists

(37:53):
in all those different things on on the Olympic team,
and they ended up beating the Olympic team.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Now wow.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
People made debate whether there's some discrepancies that the Olympic
team lost to the All Stars.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
One thing we won't debate is Kitlyn Clark's impact on
the game.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
So I think it's good because Kitlyn Clark is continuing
to show why she's worth all the attention that it
is she's receiving.

Speaker 5 (38:18):
Ken good without the bad.

Speaker 7 (38:20):
Jonas Will was bad this week, Please knee.

Speaker 5 (38:22):
I had no idea.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
I'm bad.

Speaker 5 (38:24):
I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
That could be good, that could be bad and ugly.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
I thought that that was just a story from the past.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Lee, that legitimately looks like it's never going to heal
ever with your girlfriend.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Hey, yeah, how'd that happened?

Speaker 3 (38:43):
Lee?

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Well, clearly I ain't have an overnight stay.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
I don't think that is bad.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
But what's worse, Brady?

Speaker 6 (38:53):
What's worse? As Great Britain Charlotte Dujardan. She's a three
time gold medalist. She won't be performing in the think
she's an equestrian because she got caught in a video
man abusing a horse ball.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (39:06):
I get a lot of flack.

Speaker 5 (39:07):
For it, So what's the problem she going?

Speaker 6 (39:10):
Dang
