Speaker 4 (03:33):
What is it?
Speaker 6 (03:43):
Damn damn?
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Quite the day lined up though.
Speaker 7 (03:51):
Let me tell you just from walking around a lot
of excitement for us personally in our family. We've got
the women's gymnastics team finals tonight, so big night for
the ladies by the one and only Biles.
Speaker 6 (04:02):
Nice.
Speaker 7 (04:03):
The men took third last night, so I was big
for men's gymnastics. They got the bronze. That's that's quite
the feet for them. And so far, folks, the USA
leads the metal count. So there's your update for the Olympics.
Outside of that, I would say one observation here in
Paris is the bums.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
The bums are quite nice.
Speaker 7 (04:20):
In fact, at one point I saw a father at
his probably three year old son and a stroller go
up to one bum and they had a nice conversation.
The bum apparently knows the kid and the father and
they were talking for a while right next to a
sleeping bag that was a side alley. So it was
a very touching moment. Now, maybe the American bums need
to be more like the French bump.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Well, I was gonna say, so, what's the big difference
outside of the behavior, Like I mean.
Speaker 6 (04:46):
Probably not as drug you know, drugged up. That feels
a bit right.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
I saw one guy and I was like, man, that
isona's feet. He's he's got to get that looked at.
That's us a look good.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Whatever that is, I would say they seem nicer, not
as hostile. U.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
My people from from around the way, from back home,
they call them super bums now because.
Speaker 9 (05:11):
They yead like call them shoot like you guys said,
like I used to think it was safe to give
a bum like you know, like give them money and
stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Every once in a while you'll see like a former
soldier or something like that. You know, you'll see them
out there and you take. But but back home they
call them super bums because they'd be so gone off
of that stuff. They'd be like extra strong, they'd be
extra fast, honest to goodness. I think I think the
people who like did like shows like Walking Dead and
stuff like that, or better yet, the one that had
(05:44):
the faster zombies, they were they were studying bums for
it extended the the ones that was like running up
walls and stuff like that, that like really fast zombies,
those super super bums, that's what they are super bombs.
Speaker 6 (06:01):
You don't want me, I will say this much.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
You don't.
Speaker 7 (06:03):
You don't see any bums near some of the tourist areas.
It's like you walk one block or so over then
you get to see the real Paris.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
It's like they did. They were like, you ain't got
to go home, but you got to get out of here. Yeah,
well you don't have a home. You can return.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
Your home is where you play.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Your home is where you where your feet are.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
Your home. Home is where the heart is.
Speaker 6 (06:28):
Home is where their heart is.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
Literally, I mean, is there are there any hanging out
outside of or was SPA?
Speaker 6 (06:34):
Or is that like pretty clean?
Speaker 7 (06:37):
I'm gonna be honest, I have not been to was Spa?
Probably not planning to go to SPA. That read was
just given to me about just.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
I wasn't sure if if that was Uh, that's how
it worked over there.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Remember you prom.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
Promo code to get a discount de sean that's in
French dashon.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
So I'm curious though, the men's gymnastics team finishing third,
you said, that's quite the feed, Like, what was the
expect it is?
Speaker 7 (07:06):
It is for the for the men's team, that is
a solid finish for the men's gymnastics team.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
I mean, what was the Were they just not expected
to finish anywhere near the top five or like what.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Was And could you have substituted in to help them
maybe possibly get.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
To be solver great? Could have the look you know
what I mean?
Speaker 4 (07:26):
I could have done nothing. In fact, I don't look
anything like them.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
I don't by that you've ever watched You haven't watched gymnastics.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
Oh I watched gymnastics.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
They're more like Coop size as far as like the hype.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
No, but that's what would make you a unicorn, you
know what I mean, like you put on that big larm.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
Yeah, they take a shot at you, Cooper.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
I'm just saying they're a little tinier in nature.
Speaker 6 (07:50):
You know.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Dang, we're compact from all the way over there too.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
Catching First of all, I know cons here too. I
mean you could went to Munsie.
Speaker 10 (08:01):
You know.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
You're talking men gymnastics, LeVar.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Yeah, but we were talking height, you know, Yeah, you
know Coop is the same height as months.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
See I know the music. I'm like six inches taller
than Monty.
Speaker 7 (08:14):
Alright, okay taking shots, so.
Speaker 6 (08:20):
I know the type of music Coop listens to.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
He's way too violent to be a gymnast, all right,
because he's been in mosh pits.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
He's legitimately throwing his body. Have you really been in
a mosque?
Speaker 11 (08:29):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (08:29):
Yeah, yeah, hell yeah, I've been in all in high school. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
I saw the Iron Maiden shirt.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
We walked by, and.
Speaker 7 (08:40):
I was stinking to myself, there is no way that
guy knows the Iron Maidens.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
There's no chance. I'm not.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
I'm actually not a fan of Iron Maiden. No, not
a fan of It.
Speaker 7 (08:48):
Doesn't matter if you aren't. They listened to some hard
rock over here, apparent or just wear the T.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
Shirts hard rock? Yeah, I'm not. I'm not familiar with
any felling this love hard rock? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (08:58):
Really yeah, I'm going.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Oh that's where it was that.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
That's where that was the place, that's the origin of
where that came from.
Speaker 6 (09:09):
Dang.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
So how big of an upset would it be if
the women's don't don't pull off the gold later on?
Speaker 6 (09:16):
Like and by the how many hours away are we
from that? Right now?
Speaker 7 (09:19):
They are the betting favorite if you're looking at from
that standpoint, So it would be an upset in that
in that regard.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Yes, okay, So and we're looking at when is the
event start over there?
Speaker 7 (09:30):
I believe the event is here in Paris at six
fifteen pm Paris time, so about a little afternoon for
use those on the East coast, and I believe nine
to fifteen, So right after our show is over, once
you're kicking over to the Dan Patrick, I believe it
will be able to watch that nice.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
So so what you're saying is is you and pac
men are going to use the promo code.
Speaker 6 (09:53):
Is what you're saying. Yeah, what you're.
Speaker 7 (09:55):
Saying, look at me.
Speaker 6 (10:01):
That's what they said in the song.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
Would you do? Do me a favor? Go on the
guide right now. I guarantee you there's some Michael Douglas
movie colors.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Colors, I hear it is all right now walk right now,
I'm walking out to the studio.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Colors is still here? Yeah he is? Can you You
guys don't watch Basic anymore? No, we haven't seen it.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
But why did you always put on Michael Douglas movies?
Speaker 6 (10:32):
Because he's a legend.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Why is the alegend?
Speaker 6 (10:35):
Bro?
Speaker 4 (10:36):
He's just great?
Speaker 6 (10:36):
What he does?
Speaker 4 (10:39):
What does he do?
Speaker 2 (10:40):
It makes that same semester stallone face every time, like
he's in front of somebody, his lip pearls up face.
Speaker 6 (10:48):
Yeah, it's like to the level it looks like he's
really doing what he's doing. Man, he really does.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
It was like the original too, that was before it
was like, you know, it was okay to do it. Yeah,
you know they do Michael Douglas scenes on regular TV
now you know.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
And by the way, based on Michael Douglas's medical history,
he really took one for the team.
Speaker 6 (11:08):
Like you talk about a method actor.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
He had all sorts of stuff go on, but he
said it was his throat.
Speaker 6 (11:15):
I mean.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
That man, like using his face wrong with you? Tell
me I'm lying? What did he say? Okay, you ain't.
I remember the story. I can't read that. Uh so
(11:43):
we are off and running. By the way, Gottee Douglas.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
Roberto did send over an article on his favorite athlete
at the Olympic Games yesterday. He sent it over to
myself and Ben Mallor. He's got a he's got a
favorite athlete.
Speaker 6 (11:58):

messaging and all that. You didn't want to be a
part of those one I'm gonna share you.

John Palmer ROSI today, I'm calling my shot.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
You guys are gonna get that work.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
I think he's aware of it now, and I don't
think that he goes for it.
Speaker 6 (12:47):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
I think I think he avoids saying great question. And
well that's just my assessment of it. Because there we
me and Q double team Tim like you could never
double team.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
I don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 6 (13:01):
Pause.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
I'm just saying that you were out, Jonas was out,
we were doing the show. JP came on and we
double teamed them, and he said it wasn't great.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
I don't know, sound like you're at like you were
out too.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
I mean, but it couldn't have been me because clearly,
you know, pac Man was hurt as Villas were totally hurt.
So it couldn't have been me, you know, just saying.
Speaker 1 (13:29):

Yes, Bojoux beau sois so the Madam's miss us out there.
Speaker 4 (14:28):

Speaker 7 (14:29):
I'm here in Paris, boots in the ground for the
twenty twenty four Olympics. I want to say thank you
to all our wonderful sponsors. Earlier today it was Oravos Spa,
which remember, if you really want to get those aches
and pains taken away, Paris stop used the promo code
de Shawn.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
That's de Shaan. But this hour is brought.
Speaker 7 (14:48):
To you by the Eiffel Rifle, the only shooting range
in Europe with a full bar. Come take a shot
while you take a shot with your friends at the
Eiffel Rifle.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
That's kind of fire man that one has kind of
fired the Eiffel rifle and let you drake, you could
take a shot?
Speaker 6 (15:07):
Why you take a shot?
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Seems like a.
Speaker 7 (15:09):
Bad combination, but I'll put it this way, folks, France
has been around for a long time and I think
they know what they're doing.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
So yeah, I mean, that's makes all the sense in
the world. So that's good. That is good.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Now it could be a population control we don't know.
Speaker 6 (15:28):
Ridiculous, I mean, lords will, Lord's will you know what I.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
Mean, riverside riverside, So shoot down the other way.
Speaker 6 (15:42):
You know, probably some point that at yourself when it's loaded.
Speaker 5 (15:46):
When some of these deals are getting done in the
NFL this offseason, We've seen Trevor Lawrence get done. We've
seen you know, to a tongue of Byla Jordan Love, like,
all these guys have gotten paid, and so the conversation.
Speaker 6 (15:59):
Always come back up for Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
Who already has his deal set and he's already done.
But he spoke with USA Today recently and said, it's
awesome for the game of football. It's awesome for the
quarterback position, but I think all positions. I know, every
time a contract comes up, everybody looks at my average
per year and everything like that. I'm doing pretty well
for myself. For me, it's just about going out there
(16:23):
trying to win football games, trying to make money for
my family. At the end of the day, I feel
like I'm doing a great.
Speaker 6 (16:29):
Job of that.
Speaker 5 (16:30):
So he's happy with where he's at financially, you know,
yet it feels like there's everybody looking around going why
are they getting that? And why is he getting passed by?
When it comes to these quarterback salaries that are that
are jumping around the league.
Speaker 7 (16:42):
Culd I would put it generally this simple.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
You could pay him eighty million.
Speaker 7 (16:50):
Dollars a year. And I am saying this with all seriousness.
So you want to add me feel free. But he
wouldn't be being overpaid. That's how good he is. That's
what he's meant to the Kansasity Chiefs and even to
the NFL which has moved on now from the goat
multiple you know, goats that could be in that conversation
at least at the quarterback spot.
Speaker 4 (17:12):
You know.
Speaker 7 (17:12):
And it's funny like we always that. I remember before
i'd gotten in the league. Once I gotten in the league,
you'd always hear these these toxic concerns when there it'd
be like a paidon Manning retiring or Brett Favre retiring
or you know, now Tom Brady retirement.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
Well, who's gonna take over? Who's gonna be that next face?
Speaker 7 (17:29):
You'd always hear that, and it's fairly simple, like it's
Patrick Maholmes now, and when Patrick Mahomes decides to hang
it up, they'll be someone else that there always is,
there's someone who emerges, and it's just that's the reality
of the league.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
That's how this thing works.
Speaker 7 (17:45):
So could he be paid more, Yeah, and he could
be paid a lot more, And I don't think it
would be overpaying him, considering again, all of the success
that he's brought the Kansas City Chiefs. But I also
think he's cotgnstead of the fact that he doesn't need to.
I mean, he's signed on the onset a ten year,
four and fifty million dollar contract and essentially what he's
(18:06):
become to the Chiefs is a mortgage company because every
single time they want to create cap space, they just
go to Patrick and they say, hey, Patrick, this is
very similar to what they did the twenty twenty three restructure.
They gave him about twenty and a half million in
a signing bonus, they guaranteed another one hundred and thirty
four million on.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
His contract, and the restructured things.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
Moving forward to create more cap space, to keep Travis kelcey,
to bring in some guys to better help protect him.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
And it's worked and it will continue to work. And
I think he's cognitiant of the fact that.
Speaker 7 (18:39):
If he wants to catch Tom Brady, he has to
obviously have the results in the health. But he also
has to have the mindset of I can't maximize the
value of every single one of my contracts. If I do,
will never be as good as we could be. And
that's ultimately where they're at right now, is they are
in a mode of trying to win three in a row.
(19:01):
He's trying to win his fourth. He's trying to do
something that no one's ever done before. And I think
if he wants to catch Tom Brady, the approach that
he's taking, give him that he's twenty nine years old
and who knows, you know, how his health will continue on.
He's got to keep putting himself in his team in
this situation. So I don't I would argue that he
is underpaid. But that being said, I also think it's
a choice.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
I think it's just a matter of time before he
goes back to the whale. And that's that's ultimately, in
my estimation, why he's looking at it from a standpoint
of humility and focus. You know, we ultimately we talk
about how guys go about their business and how they
(19:44):
go about getting their money and what that represents. And
to me, looking at how guys like again, we brought
up a Marii Cooper, right, hasn't been a large conversation
surrounding Amari Cooper, yet his name belonged in the same
conversation as Ceedee Lamb or Justin Jefferson, you know, or
(20:07):
some of these other guys that are you know, we're
seeking to get deals. You know, I'm in Ross Saint Brown,
which he's the same type of guy. You just don't
hear much about certain guys, so when big things happen
for them, it's like, oh, yeah, you know, who couldn't
have happened to a better person. And I think that
(20:28):
that's the category that Patrick Mahomes he lives in. He
belongs in that category. He's not he's not politiicing, like, oh,
all these quarterbacks, Like what y'all just gave these quarterbacks
what they're not me Like, let's come back, let's let's
go back to let's go back to the well. You know, y'all,
y'all gotta y'all, gotta redo my contract. I need to
(20:49):
always be the highest paid player in the National Football
League at my position, period. I don't need to be
the highest paid player in the National Football League, period.
But I think those those opportunities come those times come.
I mean, we could talk about hey, getting that pay now,
but what if he does go get a third a
third championship? What if that does happen? Can you imagine yeah, well,
(21:13):
you know, like thirty or three in a row. I mean,
think about what that would represent in his contract. There
is no negotiation. It's like whatever, we've never heard max contract.
We've heard guaranteed contract because of Deshaun Watson. But if
there were ever a moment in time where there was
an opportunity for there to be the phrase max contract
(21:36):
in the National Football League, it'd be Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
When Brady mentions eighty million a year, We're not that
far away from that being a real number. Like, for example,
in twenty nineteen, this is five years ago. If you
guys had to guess who was the highest paid quarterback
in the league that year and how much did he
make twenty nineteen, five years ago, if you had to.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
Guess, man, I'm trying to think maybe Drew Brees.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
Okay LeVar, if you had to guess twenty nineteen highest
paid quarterback, and how much do you think he's making.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
And probably made by the way he's probably making it about
thirty five million, thirty million.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Matthew Stafford all right, Russell Wilson, Russell Wilson.
Speaker 6 (22:25):
Brady was on at thirty five million. That was five
years ago.
Speaker 7 (22:29):
Bro, we're at fifty Now, we're at fifty five. So like, well,
here's here's the problem. And this is where the numbers
get a little distorted. Like I hate the average annual
value number. I just I want the listeners to understand it.
I'm not saying this to like Pooh pooh the conversation
or to deterrists.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
But that's all made by the agents.
Speaker 7 (22:50):
It's all made by the media to make it more digestible. Right,
we come up with that average annual value to make
the math easier to understand. Ultimately, I always say this,
it will never come out to those numbers because either
the player is.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Going to be good enough where he'll keep getting extended.
Speaker 7 (23:08):
They'll convert some of that into a signing bonus or
other bonuses so it doesn't affect the salary cap. It
all really comes down to cash and really guarantees that's
all it really comes down to. The averages just makes
it look simpler to kind of break down. But if
things don't work out, they getting paid that. I mean again,
Patrick Mahomes as a unicorn because he signed a ten
(23:31):
year deal, which no one does. I mean, he already
told you when he signed a ten year deal what
he was signing up for, and that is a lifelong
relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs because he really can't
get out from it unless he creates a fuss.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
And how would that happen. I don't know, Andy Reid.
Speaker 7 (23:51):
They put them retires, they put in another head coach
that he doesn't like, did along with you know which
at that point, I think you're probably having Patrick Mahomes
conduct the interview is for being real. But Travis Kelcey retires,
they don't find a way of bringing other guys in.
But you look at this offseason. They bring in Hollywood Brown,
They drafted Xavier Worthy. Like last year was a frustrating season.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
What they do. They went and stepped up the bat
for Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 7 (24:15):
Two years ago they had a bad offensive line, they
went and spend a bunch of money.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
On the offensive line.
Speaker 7 (24:19):
It just you know, he's basically given himself up by
saying I'm going to be married to the Chiefs for
the long haul. Because of the length of this deal,
but he would have been the player given the start
of his career that would have made more money, given
the fact that he was a first round pick, high
first round pick, but more money than ever any player
(24:41):
in the history of the NFL. And that still may happen,
but it probably won't because of his desire to win
and want to try to spread.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
Out some of those money.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
I just I wonder if he hit the open market
right now for one season, Like, how much would Jerry
Jones give for Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
I mean, do the math on it.
Speaker 7 (25:01):
What's the salary cap at two hundred and twenty million
something like that.
Speaker 5 (25:04):
I don't know, you would know better than me. Well,
sure twenty how much of that? Well would he get
a hundred for one year?
Speaker 7 (25:14):
I don't think you get a hundred again, you'd there'd
be a rich enough owner like Jerry Jones for example,
or the whoever whoever has a ton of cash they
like you think seventy five million dollars signing bonus that
the Packers gave Jordan Love is big. They would give
him a ridict. It would be at least one hundred million,
if not more, in cash right away.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Believable right out the gate.
Speaker 6 (25:35):
That's unbelievable, so undbelievable, Like.
Speaker 7 (25:39):
You have never seen a transfer his wealth as fast
as any owner. If Patrick Mahomes became a free agent
giving away cash to one person than him right now,
Like that would be the quickest transaction ever, Like, how
can I give you nine figures fast enough?
Speaker 4 (25:57):
Faster?
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Think about how much, say generate if they got him?
Speaker 6 (26:03):
Oh god, right, I mean she's yeah.
Speaker 7 (26:06):
I mean, your sponsorships sold out this season, tickets sold out,
Jerseys said, I mean everything, merge all that.
Speaker 6 (26:13):
Yeah, I don't know. He's he's a special dude.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
And I think that I know he did a ten
year which is in a lot of ways kind of
like it's not a it's not a career long deal.
Speaker 6 (26:24):
Yeah. I mean he'll probably play longer than ten.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
Years under contract now until twenty thirty one.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
Yeah. I think they're really just I think they're restructural, man.
Speaker 7 (26:34):
I think they're going to restructure probably after twenty twenty five,
because his cap hits start getting pretty big around twenty
twenty five. And by the way, that's what you can
do when you have Patrick Mahomes as a client, if
you're his agent. You just structure in like down the
road a couple of really big cap years where the
team just goes, hey, it's a lot against the cap.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Even though the CAP's.
Speaker 7 (26:57):
Two hundred and forty two hundred and fifty million, it's
still a significant percentage of the cap. Let's go ahead
and give you a bunch of cash. We're going to
guarantee another one hundred and some million, and that's how
it works, and then they have those years to play with. Again,
he's technically he's on their books until twenty thirty three.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
He's got two avoidable years on the end of it,
so they've already even extended out further than that.
Speaker 6 (27:20):
That's a long time man.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (27:22):
But if you're the Chiefs, like let's say they win
six Super Bowls during the course of Patrick mahomes tenure. There,
if someone told you you're still paying you're still paying
for Patrick Mahomes in twenty forty and he was done
playing for the Chiefs in twenty thirty five, you'd be like, yeah,
we're good, I'm okay with that.
Speaker 6 (27:40):
Yeah, I mean, it's to your point, it's more purpose
keeated City. You know what else? You know, he changed
the organization like completely.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
That's a historical that's a history, you know organization. Yeah,
like they had family, they had super Bowls. There before
they had a super Bowl, Like it wasn't like you know,
they'd been there back, you know, and now it's and
now it's he's taken him to another stratosphere.
Speaker 7 (28:09):
He's taking Andy Reid, He's taking everyone to another stratosphere. Yeah,
I mean Andy Reid as a head coach may have
been viewed as a Hall of Famer because of his
longevity and winning, but not without Patrick Mahomes. He's now
solidified himself as a Hall of Famer, but quite possibly
could go down as one of the best ever, like
next to I mean, his all time wins could challenge
(28:33):
Belichick maybe if he coaches long enough.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
I mean, I don't know, depend on his health and age, but.
Speaker 7 (28:37):
You could start really going up the ranks of how
high we compare.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Him to the Don Shoals of the world, et cetera.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
It's wild man.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific.
Speaker 6 (28:54):
So we love Tylan and all comes over there, lean off.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
N't you're into the and I'm not, but you're into
the men's gymnastics. Why do they wear onesies when they're
on the on the horse? Isn't it called the horse?
Why do they wear ones.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
It's called a pommel horse as opposed to what they always.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
I don't know when they're on the lord. They were like, uh, yeah,
it's more of a different singlet. Like the singlet on
the horse they had like feet in it and everything,
like it's like a fool onesie.
Speaker 6 (29:28):
You didn't notice that.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Not quite sure on top of it or something.
Speaker 6 (29:33):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
I do know this on the topic of the men
winning the bronze, it's the first medal in sixteen years.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
That's a long time.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
Yeah, so that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (29:44):
It was a pretty significant accomplishment for the men's gymnastics.
And by the way, we heard Mansie talk about earlier
Katie Ledecki, who should be by four and away the
favorite to win the fifteen hundred meter freestyle. She already
got a bronze earlier. She's actually surpassed Michael Phelps in
individual medals. Now that includes world championships. She has not
(30:04):
beat them in the Olympic Games. He's got more gold
individual gold medals, but she does have the chance to
get potentially three more, depending on how long she wants
to swim, she could eventually catch up to Phelps at
some point. That's how dominant she has been.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Damn, I'm in on the volleyball. Dudes, they be getting up.
I never was like big into looking at other sports
all like that, especially volleyball, but let me tell you something.
I got into the thing. They get up and they
be spaking. I mean, their verticals are crazy. Like I
(30:43):
realized how because those nets and they're tall too. Yeah, bro,
those nets for men are really high. They're really high.
Them dudes be explosive as hell going over that net. Man,
Like it's it's amazing to see them volley because it's
so they hit the ball so violently.
Speaker 6 (31:03):
It's like to get a block. Look how high he is.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
God, bro, there's a few things.
Speaker 7 (31:09):
And by the way, I should mention, we are boots
in the ground here in Paris twenty four.
Speaker 6 (31:13):
Who's our sponsor for that's right?
Speaker 4 (31:16):
For this hour? Where sponsor? Our sponsored? Now I'm brought
to you by the Tour day Lance.
Speaker 7 (31:22):
Yes, that's a new sight seeing guide around the mountains
of France, but stops at every ped usage location. It's
voted on by the world's best cyclist who lost out
to Lance Armstrong.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
So thank you for those they're at the Tour de Lance.
Speaker 7 (31:37):
I remember there's the Eiffel Rifle and the ore was
spa where you can get a discount code for a
Paris style massage at Dashawn.
Speaker 6 (31:45):
Well, I know how to pick you, don't they.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
You know, if you've got some downtime, that Tour to
Lance sounds like a fun, fun experience.
Speaker 7 (31:53):
I was thinking about getting a workout in today after
the show, and I was like, that might not be
a bad, bad idea for.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
Yeah, yeah, get on the gas.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yeah, while you're there, get really shacked up, you know
what I mean? Type in code day Sean while you're
doing okay off than up, I have a move away.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
You know it's interesting, that's funny.
Speaker 6 (32:27):
That might have went over a lot of people's heads.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
No, I got it my catch catcher's mitt and it
was really good.
Speaker 6 (32:35):
You're on fire right now.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
You guys have taken a liking to uh men's volleyball.
I'm more of a football guy myself, but you know,
everybody's into different things, so that's cool.
Speaker 7 (32:43):
Like I like, by the way, the beach volleyball venue
is ridiculously cool. It is right out in front of
the Eiffel Tower. An the way, it's it's incredible.
Speaker 6 (32:53):
What is it.
Speaker 7 (32:54):
It's one of the coolest it's right out in front
of the Eiffel Tower.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
What what is it? So beach volleyball, each volleyball us.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
So if you get a lot volleyball boy, I used
to live in man while.
Speaker 7 (33:04):
You're not gonna like it anymore. They're making the women
wear these like long tights.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
Now, I'm okay with that.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
Okay, okay, Why are you not okay with it?
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Lee?
Speaker 12 (33:14):
No, I'm saying that's not exactly true some some women
yet some groups.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
A lot of actually gone to that.
Speaker 6 (33:20):
I'm okay, I'm okay with long time. I know we
used to go.
Speaker 8 (33:23):
Lee.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
I know you're kind of sore of this.
Speaker 5 (33:25):
So hold on a second. Who do you think you are.
Brady's over in Paris. He's brought to us by Paris.
Speaker 6 (33:31):
Was spon.
Speaker 5 (33:32):
You're going to tell him what they wear over there?
He's boots on the ground.
Speaker 12 (33:35):
I've been watching very closely the volleyball set up.
Speaker 10 (33:39):
Yeah, are you too, No, yeah, there were a few
who were wearing the like long sleeve or the but
not no.
Speaker 6 (33:49):
Today I was watching.
Speaker 10 (33:50):
It was probably a replay, but it was US SA
versus Brazilian they were in the beginnis.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
Well, that's I mean, it's also it's also a lot hotter.
It's exactly in the nineties.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
Today.
Speaker 8 (33:59):
I read that they actually were put the long sleeve
on because it was cold.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
But that's what sixties.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
It's a thing though in volleyball right now, like you
either wear the shorts or you wear leggings like that's
a thing.
Speaker 5 (34:12):
Also, the Brazilian volleyball team already played earlier.
Speaker 6 (34:16):
Right I think, so.
Speaker 12 (34:18):
Yeah, did they advance because I hope so.
Speaker 6 (34:22):
I mean, I think that's equal Campbell out there. I
thought it was in Paris, right, not in Dubai. It
was the last time.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Quite quite quite.
Speaker 6 (34:43):
I don't think you need to say anything. I think
it's self explained. Well, listen, you know there's a lot
going on out there.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
You know there is sand and maybe you know they
were just uh it's where they felt at home, you know.
Don't mean to have like, but to have four in
a small proximity like that, I thought was it was
just you know, like because it's not The Eiffel Tower
is right there.
Speaker 6 (35:05):
You know, it feels like it's right down the line.
Speaker 12 (35:07):
If the great camera angle by the way down the
uh down the net Eiffel towers.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
Right, figured would appreciate we're just going just okay.
Speaker 7 (35:15):
What I figured Lee would appreciate the artistic shot of
how it looks at night, because the Eiffel Tower lights
up and sparkles and it's pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (35:27):
It's It's honestly one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
Speaker 5 (35:29):
Did I hear that there was a restaurant in the
Eiffel Tower? Is that true or no? Or somebody make
that up too.
Speaker 7 (35:36):
I think there is one, but I'm not sure how
much access there is during the Olympics.
Speaker 6 (35:40):
By the way, how bad's the food over there? I
got to feel and it's bad.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
Food's actually really good.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Yeah, I don't know. I was looking up some French
cuisine last night. None of an appetite.
Speaker 6 (35:52):
Do they have pretzels for Jonas.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
Pels? Yeah, but that's not I haven't been going around
Paris looking for pres.
Speaker 6 (36:00):
I'm just looking out for jonas well. That's bar food.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
So you know, trust me, I've not joiced doesn't eat food.
Speaker 6 (36:06):
So why would you think Lee brought that up? Because
bar bar food.
Speaker 7 (36:11):
It's bar Food's what Lee wants. They've got some pups
for you, don't worry.
Speaker 12 (36:15):
I'm actually speaking cargo, some frog legs, the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
You know what I had last night that I'm sure
you've drank before?
Speaker 6 (36:23):
What Lee?
Speaker 4 (36:24):
Have you had sharktrus Oh?
Speaker 6 (36:25):
Yeah, I thought you were gonna saying Oldie that.
Speaker 7 (36:28):
No, no, this that's more of like a French apartee,
because I would.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Say they at Oldie is a what what.
Speaker 6 (36:42):
Truce is?
Speaker 12 (36:42):
Actually it's become really hot here in l A. They
add this in a bunch of a bunch of strengths
mixed drinks out here.
Speaker 6 (36:49):
What was the thing I told you?
Speaker 2 (36:50):
I drank at the Speak Easy and then I threw
up and I like literally went to sleep like ten
minutes later and had the best sleep of my life.
What was Yeah, yeah, absinthe, Yeah, the Lea.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
But they both have that like black licorice.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
To holy smokes, like I ain't. I felt like it
was like the first time I had ever drink in
my life, and they would.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Here though, whoa like shark truce is how the Parisians
stay skinny? That's why I've heard that are the cigarettes.
I'm not sure a lot of smoky going on.
Speaker 6 (37:28):
Right here.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
Give me a lung dart, trust me. People are puffing
long darts left it right over here?
Speaker 6 (37:34):
Right, that's great.
Speaker 4 (37:36):
You can't eat all these cars for practice to not
have a bunch of darts.
Speaker 6 (37:40):
Dang, that's like status over there. Huh, it's something.
Speaker 4 (37:45):
I mean, it looks cool. Still, I guess there's no
Joe Cammel over here, but it looks cool.
Speaker 6 (37:50):
They don't have do they still have Joe Cammel here? Well,
not the mascot?
Speaker 12 (37:54):
But I got a couple of camel packs yesterday. Yeah,
it was my dad's birthday yesterday. Got them a cart cigarettes.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Likes, And I just asked this question really quickly about
about lung darts.
Speaker 6 (38:06):
Got his dad cards cigarettes first birthday.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
They really see now they really stink like cigarettes stink.
Speaker 6 (38:15):
And then the post smell is like it's just I.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
Don't know, it's just horrible, Like why I don't understand
why people smoke?
Speaker 6 (38:25):
So when we walk through Vegas. I told you.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
I was like, I gotta get outside, dude, I can't
smell the cigarettes. And he's like, you don't like it?
I was like no, he goes, ah, I'm used to it.
Speaker 6 (38:35):
I love it. Like what's it?
Speaker 5 (38:36):
Like?
Speaker 4 (38:36):
What's it for?
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Like I understand like the usage of weed on, like
I get that. What what are cigarettes for? Like I
even understand cigars?
Speaker 12 (38:45):
Well, I you know, I'm not a smoker, but yeah,
it smoked cigarettes.
Speaker 6 (38:50):
Like, is that what it is? It's an anxiety deal and.
Speaker 12 (38:53):
For some people, for some people it is obviously it's
just got the nicotine addictions. So you know, once you
become addicted, then you're that's all it is. I heard that,
and then and then to relieve that addiction.
Speaker 5 (39:03):
I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but I've
heard never smoked one.
Speaker 6 (39:06):
I've heard that. I think, so bad.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
Does it like increase your buzz if you're drinking, like
it take you to another level?
Speaker 12 (39:13):
It does, but only like if you're kind of new
to it.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
So if you're not new to it, you get no
feeling from it. So you're just literally just smoking.
Speaker 12 (39:21):
You're you're just yeah, you're just feeding the addiction.
Speaker 7 (39:24):
As a person who has only smoked like two cigarettes.
They make me horribly nauseous and I get the worst headache.
Speaker 6 (39:31):
And it's like an immediate hangover for me smoking a cigarette,
like not even all of it hang over from smoking.
Oh wow, what do you mean about.
Speaker 12 (39:43):
Well, yeah, that's true, especially, I mean especially if you
want to if you want to pick it up and
go straight rolling tobacco.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
And hey, Lee, can I take a wild guess? You
typically smoke when you drink? Is that when you do it? Uh?
Speaker 12 (39:56):
No, I smoke when like, uh you know a certain company.
You know, some girl wants to go outside.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
I see, Yeah, you're not a tained smoker.
Speaker 12 (40:06):
You a cigarette, your post your post catch operation, catch
some fresh air.
Speaker 4 (40:12):
Yeah he's after he gets that wark.
Speaker 6 (40:14):
Yeah he's post operation doctor Lee. Okay, I get it.
But but I do like it, Like at the house parties.
Speaker 12 (40:25):
I like hanging out with the smokers outside because I
like the smell and the company.
Speaker 6 (40:29):
Yeah, it is a fun crew. That's where I hang out.
Speaker 5 (40:32):
Interesting, Hey, where do you want to Where do you
want to go stand next to? How about the people
that are going to take years off my life? It
works mode, Lee, You're better than that.
Speaker 6 (40:43):
Yeah, I get around the party, I I socialize everything.
How much is a pack of cigarettes?
Speaker 4 (40:47):
Nowadays?
Speaker 12 (40:48):
It depends If you're at prestige, it's super expensive, so
I actually drive further to go get uh ten to
eleven dollars packs. But at at prestige it's like thirteen
fourteen bucks.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
Fourteen dollars for a pack of used to be like
it used to be like a dollar.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
When I was growing up, my granddaddy called me over
to go get some camels. Get He gave me like
two dollars to go get him camels and gave me
and my brother and my cousin's a dollar each to go.
Speaker 6 (41:14):
To the store.
Speaker 5 (41:15):
My mom told me that when she was a little
girl that her dad would send her over.
Speaker 6 (41:20):
To the store to buy cigarettes.
Speaker 5 (41:21):
Yeah, OK, that's commonplace, just like an eight year old
goes into pack.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Yeah, we used to go get our grandfather the pop
pop Kaiser rest easy fourteen dollars.
Speaker 12 (41:33):
California and New York. Yeah, New York I think is worse.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
But that's an expensive that's an expensive addiction. Now, Yeah,
tell me about it or habit, whatever.
Speaker 6 (41:42):
You want to call it. Jeez, all right, that's interesting.
Speaker 12 (41:46):
Hey, go USA, smoke them up, Dad, Happy birthday, all right?
Speaker 6 (41:50):
Okay, Dad, you smoked them camels. Joe Camel's birthday dead
all right. It's a pegasmokes tang
