an unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road has a
(01:26):
protection and over ten thousand that's right, ten thousand recommended
installers tyrack dot com. The way tire buying should be
going a little crazy right now. But some other folks
who are going crazy as well. There's Michigan fans, There's
Buckeye fans, There's fans across all college football who are
(01:47):
going crazy because, you know, the allegations against the Michigan
football program for the Connor Stallion scandal. Yet Jim Harbau
has continually denied any know of what was happening or
taking place, despite the fact he, along with six other coaches,
have received Level one or two in fractions. And Jim Harbaugh,
(02:12):
now the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, talked
about this about his involvement at the Chargers training camp.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
Take a listen.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
Yeah, I do have a comment on that never lie,
never cheat, never steal. I was raised with that lesson.
I have raised my family on that lesson. I have
preached that lesson to the teams that I've coached.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
No one's perfect.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
If you stumble, you apologize and you make it right today.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
I do not apologize.
Speaker 6 (02:47):
I did not participate, was not aware nor complicit in
those set allegations.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I felt like we had a little more met on
the bone nearly did we just cut that one off
a bit short.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Up in there, sounded like he was on some Bill
Clinton type stuff. I did not have relations with that woman.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
Popped up from under the desk. This is this is
sexual relationship, miss Lewinsky.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Sound like coach. I never told anybody to lie a
single time. Never sound like coach.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Yeah, you get a vivid recollection of that.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
I was young when that happened, but I do recall
the accent and him denying it.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
I didn't recall the second part was I never told
that one to lie.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
I was raised tell the truth, not to lie, cheat
or steel.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
I raised my family on that.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I was really doing this though again this year, Why
did he feel like he needed like you tell me why,
like you're not even there?
Speaker 5 (03:54):
I think I think he was asked about it, so
you know, I've.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Been like already like you already know, like that's that's
in that's in the rear view, you know, and spaceships
don't come equipped with.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Rear view marrors, they go forward, you.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Know, the h the thing that I was a little
upset we cut off there.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
The reason why I was pointing this out to Lee
is he.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Usually finishes off like some sort of motivational like line,
like you know, attacking each day with an enthusiasm unknown demandkind.
It's like it's something like that that he like would
finish the sound bite off with. And I always laugh
because what Jim Harball finishes the quote with is what
you end up paying attention to.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
Yours are like, what the hell did he just say?
Speaker 3 (04:36):
You're like that that sounds good, but yeah, okay, like anyway,
not to get off on a tangent, what was that?
Speaker 7 (04:43):
Lee?
Speaker 4 (04:44):
I do have the end of the that quote if
you want to hear it real quick.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
Here it is this fake was not aware nor complicit
in those set allegations. So for me, it's back to
work and attacking with an enthusiasm known to mankind.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
I love it, Like at first off, He's the only
coach that that in my time. Once I got into
broadcasting on that, he would he would say that, he
would say other things similar to that, and I would
always be taken back by like all right, Like if
he's say it every day, you say it enough, eventually
everyone starts kind of buying and believing it too. It's
just you know who you are. It's part of part
(05:24):
of that. But it always like struck me as like,
what the hell did he say before that? I can't remember.
I'm so attracted to the attacking each day with the
things he had an unknown to mankind, I don't even
know what he said before that. So anyway, I just
I can't believe we're doing this again, and my stance
on this last year and it hasn't changed, and just
from knowing.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Probably too much.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Is again people who want to look at Michigan say, oh,
well they were doing this for years and look at
their success and and look, I grew up in Columbus, Ohio.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
I understand.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
One of the reasons why this narrative still continues to
be is because there's a lot of buckey On fans
out there who are not happy with how the Ohio
State Michigan game has gone in the past three years.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
And here's the truth.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Okay, if Connor Stallions was helping you the previous two years, okay,
this past year, he wasn't on the sidelines. He wasn't helping,
He wasn't there during that season. And I've continually told
teams that are and fans that have an issue with this,
be careful what you say and you wish for, because
(06:33):
oftentimes you point the finger you got four point right
back at you. And I know some programs that have
some guys that have done this sort of thing and
haven't gotten in trouble or they haven't been exposed.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
Because it's that rampant.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
And for all the people who keep showing these clips
of guys in the sidelines who look across the sidelines
and then they're still you know, they're signaling back into
their defense.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
There's one with CJ.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Stroud and the Ohio State Michigan game, and everyone's like, oh,
see this clip, see this, No, that's actually allowed. They
were actually allowed to steal signs on these sidelines. So
stop showing the clip because it doesn't matter. And most teams,
if they're smart enough, they know and I promise you
this from covering the Big Ten championship game that Michigan's
(07:19):
been in the past two years, each of their opponents knew,
they knew exactly what was going on. This past year,
they didn't have staians, so it didn't matter, didn't really
need them. But two years ago the team'sknew. And I
won't go as far as saying what other teams in
the league did to compensate that, because it was pretty
messed up too, but I would just I would caution people, like,
(07:43):
be careful of what you wish for, because if you
want to open up this Pandora's box, everyone had their
hand in the cookie jar, and everyone's doing some fashion
or form of advanced scouting and figuring this all out
and trying to get an edge. That's how sports work worked, folks.
Everyone's trying to get an edge. Everyone's trying to find
a way of taking whatever is gray and forcing the
(08:06):
NCAA or the conference to make it black and white.
You can or cannot do this, and the best teams,
by the way, usually do that. Bill Belichick is notorious
for always taking a rule and saying, well, let's really
put the officials, you know, to the grinder here to
see if they can actually come up with how they're
(08:27):
going to call this consistently. Because we might feel like
we have an advantage or a loophole that we could
take advantage of that's how it usually works. It works
in the business world like this. So I hate that we're,
you know, rehashing this again. And I know it has
everything to do with the time of year and the
NCAA coming out and saying, hey, Shrommore might be suspended
or what have you.
Speaker 5 (08:48):
Let's move on, let's move on.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
We have coached the quarterback now, we don't need this,
We will not need this moving forward, So it should
be a non conversation. It didn't play any role in
my opinion in Michigan win in the National Championship last year,
when they needed to have Connor stallions the most, they
didn't have them, and they still won.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
They went undefeated. They beat the best.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Opponents without their head coach, without their head coach too.
They not only did not have the scout those help,
but they didn't have their head coach. Give them their
credit where credit is due. That's that's all I'm saying, like,
let's move on from all this. That that's my take
on it.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah again, sign Sign stealing that there was the idea
of it. I guess you made the point of it
yesterday that the investigation was still ongoing. I just think
that it should have been to the benefit of the NCAAA.
(09:43):
And I just feel like the fact that this is
continuing to linger on it just leads me to believe,
like or not, I won't say believe. It makes me
question where is where's the push coming from? Like, is
there someone that is a decision maker that is a
(10:05):
pro Ohio state person. Is there some type of background
conspiracy theory? Is there something going on that leads to
the reason why this would continue on into the next
season because Stallions has been gone, the head coach is
(10:25):
now gone. What's the like close the investigation. It's it's
not like this was a to me, this is not
a legal situation. It's it's not there's nothing here to
me that is at this point tremendously egregious where there
(10:46):
should continue to be a microscope put in place on
Michigan or or it's new head coach. That's my take
on it. And the more it persists the way that
it is, it's almost like, are you witch hunting for
a reason? In particular, because the ultimate the ultimate punishment
(11:07):
that could be levied against Michigan outside of losing scholarships
or or you know, suspension of games vacation vacating of
games would be the loser coach. And oh, by the way,
they have a new head coach, the coach left, So
(11:29):
what else is there, Like, we're going to continue on
all let's get let's get the current head coach. Let's
see we can set them back for at least a
game or two, because really, all that's going to happen
is there's going to be a penalty levied against the
head coach. Correct, this isn't this isn't anything else beyond
they want to look at text messages or whatever from
or seen text messages from Searon and now they want
(11:52):
to they want to suspend him as well. If this
was the case, then to me, you should have did
it all.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
Last season, right.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
It just doesn't makes sense to carry it on into
this season, knowing that they have a new head coach
and and it's a new season. It just seems like
there's something here the deck. It seems seemingly loaded against
against Michigan for some reason. And I'm not sure. It
makes you wonder.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
It makes you wonder, And look again, I understand that
going back to last year, when you look at the
timeline of things again, the initial suspension of Jim Harbaught
to start this season different well, and it was it
was self imposed. It was self imposed. It was during
that that contact.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
I mean super egregious, you know, disqualifying, breaking the rule
like you brought you Is that what it was?
Speaker 4 (12:40):
He bought some burgers or something for recruit.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
It's something along those lines.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
I think there's a little bit more, okay, but but
that being said, that was at essence what that initial
suspension was for, where Sharon Moore and another of coaches
on their staff actually rotated the head coaching responsibilities and
then it was more from the pressure of the Big
Ten that caused him to miss those pivotal games through
the course of the regular season.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
So then that became part of that storyline.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
But we knew the NCAA could eventually lay down their
punishment this past spring. However, it extended further into the
summertime before the season.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
So that's why we're at where we're at.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
That's why this is recycling a reservicing backup of the news.
But one of the reasons why it's continually being asked
about is because for Jim Hornball, who you'd think, like, hey,
if things don't go well with the Chargers. He's young
enough and has been successful enough at the college level,
he would have an opportunity to come back to college football. However,
with these sorts of level interfractions that show cause like
(13:42):
that could prevent him from doing so.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
So and maybe that's the reason why he made that statement,
is to set the stage for if that were to happen,
the possible And.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Look, he wasn't compliant in the investigation by the NCAA
at least that's one of the accusations. So if that's
the case, I can only imagine how much harder he
is going to make their life, coming all the way
across the country to LA to try to interview him
as the head coach of a National Football League team,
and how busy he is. So there's there's that element
(14:11):
too where if you thought it was difficult to get
a hold of them back when he was coaching at Michigan,
just way now, just wait out now, how hard it's
going to be if he tries to appeal and they
try to, you know, go through that the rigorous process
of figuring this all out. It again, we will see
if you know what the punishment is and what Michigan
decides to do from there.
Speaker 5 (14:31):
Maybe they're just you.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Know, happy with the fact that let's just get this over,
let's move on from it. College football has adapted now
the coach the quarterback where they have the radio systems
in their helmet, so that this really shouldn't be necessary
anymore to continue to have these issues with science stealing.
There's always elements of that. I mean even in the NFL.
I mean, you're allowed to look at game film and
(14:53):
if you see stuff that a player a coach is
doing on the game film, you're provided you're allowed to
look at that.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
And say, hey, this is their for this.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
If we shift your motion and they do this signal,
that's what they run. I mean, it's happening right now.
In training camp. You have the offense versus the defense.
You don't think every offense on their team knows their
defensive signals. That's how it works. That's you're always trying
to look for an advantage. So I'm hoping this goes
away sooner rather than later. That may upset some Buckeyes fans,
(15:24):
but again I would just I would say this, like,
if you're at Ohio State, you know you don't need
to have like an excuse or an asterisk next to why.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
You beat them this year?
Speaker 3 (15:35):
You know, you don't want to blame something, you know,
like you want to beat them. You want to beat
him Columbus far and square where that game is going
to be played. That's at least how I would want it.
You know, I wouldn't want to say, oh, well, they
really beat him because of this they didn't have their
head coach, or they didn't have this and then you
know the team was in a state of chaos. You'd
rather say, like, no, we we we took their best
shot and we beat them. We're the better team. And
(15:57):
I do think Ohio State will beat them. I do
think they're the better team. But that rivally is that big.
That's one of the reasons why I think this perpetuates
this conversation.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Honestly so well, I think that that gives Michigan tremendous
motivation to be prepared.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
If they didn't need any more.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
It just seems like it's them against the world, and
they took that and they rode that and won a
national title. So I wouldn't be surprised if they did
it again.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Well, I would be only because of how much they've lost.
I think I realize.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Yeah, absolutely so, a lot a.
Speaker 5 (16:33):
Lot of things in transition, a lot of the moving parts.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Speaking of coming up next on to pros at a
Cup of Joe, coming to your live from the Tyraq
dot com studios. There's another team that's got a battle
going on right now, a competition. We've got a little
bit of sound from their head coach, but also we've
got an insider with us that's going to tell us
a little bit more about what may actually be happening
in that quarterback competition.

recall from my youth. I come next to listen to
this in batting practice all the time.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
Knock them down, knock them down, come out, throw them bowls.
I'm gonna hit them. H uh oh, this is my
papa another.
Speaker 5 (17:59):
Pitch bike us. I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
Really yeah, look at you, Lee, this was your pump
up song.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
You some shades on. That is a little fun of
his mullet.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
That's kind of funny and I have a bit disturbing actually,
see that interesting? Who was biting the dustly anybody coming
across that line? Yeah, anyone could get it.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
I mean the gat I love that.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Did you see the the skirmish that broke out and
the joint practice.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
With the New York Giants?
Speaker 4 (18:36):
No I did not.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Oh yeah, Daniel Jones got there, mixed it up a
little bit. Yeah, I thought one of those teammates was
taking a cheap shop. Jumped in there, got a little
little part of the action. They had to be pulled back.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
Did they get a touch of him?
Speaker 5 (18:50):
Oh yeah they got Yeah, he got shoved together. There
he was.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
He got a shove.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Yeah, dude, they had to pull him out of it.
Wow it I'll put it this way.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
It was a lot more than you typically see a
quarterback too in training camp.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Fight sound other times I guess.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
Yeah, well, that's one way of looking at it.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
I know.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
I guess my mind wanted like fast, like two or
three things, the first two being it like I understand
why Daniel Jones is doing it. I think as a teammate,
all teammates want to protect their teammates, especially when they're
taking a cheap shot.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
However, I'm not sure he has add a lot to
the fight. Most most quarterbacks don't.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Like I try to tell people, I'm like, man, all
these guys on defense, they are like masters at their
craft and using their hands. Yeah, and so when like
a civilian or someone comes and tries to test someone
of these guys, I'm like, it's a bad idea. And
I'm not saying that you're boxers, but you're not far
from it because of how you have to use your
(19:56):
hands with punching and grabbing.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
The whole thing.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
And we're take down artists, that's right, we'll take you down.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
So I always look step back and go, I don't
care how much cross training you do and whatever you
do in your free time, it's not going to be
like any of the other athletes out there. So for qbs,
like I might want to pull a guy back or two,
but try to stay out.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
Of it all right, and keep your helmet on for
the love of God.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Don't take that helmet off because you're hit with some
friendly fire sometimes. But the other thing is is I mean,
it's a big season for him, This is a prove
it year for Daniel Jones. The Giants have been very
transparent because of the hard knocks off season, which may
have been a blessing or a curse.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
We don't really know yet.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
I think for fans on the outside, it has been
better than what I thought it was going to be
given how much they show from the Giants offseason.
Speaker 5 (20:49):
But one of the things that you've come to realize is, look,
they could have taken a quarterback.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
I mean they wanted to, but maybe couldn't get the
guy they quite wanted, so they stayed put. They took
Malik Neighbors, who looks like he's going to be a stud,
and and that's an investment into Daniel Jones, or at
least seeing what he can be this year. So either way,
I think there's an element of you probably don't want
to break your throwing hand, you know, throwing a punch
(21:15):
in a meaningless joint practice.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Unless you knew that was a plausible way of getting
yourself out of the way of what the inevitable would be.
It's not the most feasible approach.
Speaker 8 (21:28):
To when you're saying he should have just went in
there and just broke that bed and started throwing over. Look,
I did this for you guys together, the ultimate team player.
Speaker 5 (21:43):
Meanwhile, he goes to his agent.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
He's like, no, that's exactly where we're exactly what we
needed to do.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
So, so let me act as the agent here and
you act as Daniel Joe.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
So ring Ring.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Please pick up the phone, Come on, pick up the phone. Call,
come on agent, pick off the phone.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
Uh yeah, hey da, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (22:04):
Hey hey hey? Uh just uh I gotta let you know.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Today they were disrespectful, that they were disrespectful.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
To my guys, and well I had to take action.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
Uh okay, okay, what do you mean, what do you
what do you do?
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Well, well, see, instead of being good at throwing the
balls and in practice, I had to throw my hands.
Speaker 4 (22:31):
I felt like I could be.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
More accurate and I could get more accomplished by throwing
throwing my hands instead of the balls.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
Throwing your hands, what do you mean like you got
a fight? All right?
Speaker 1 (22:44):
So so yes, and no, I technically needed to defend
the honor of my teammate and and so I just
got a little involved, and and the opportunity was there,
and I wanted to do something that I generally don't do,
(23:06):
which was complete a.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
I want to.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
I wanted to be able to throw and complete it,
like I wanted to make contact. And so I felt
like if I threw my hand it could reach a
helmet or head or a body part. And that's what
I did, and I broke my hand.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Well at least you connected on something. But look, this
is how we're gonna spin this. Okay, okay, you're gonna
spin this where you're being a great teammate looking you know,
going out for your guys, But it's most likely you're
gonna eat surgery, gonna to miss a season.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
So you know, I was thinking about it. I was
thinking about it that way, and that's why I wanted
us to get on the phone here. Like I was
thinking to myself, I'm cooked in New York anyway.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
The fans hate me.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
My teammates they kind of don't seem to like me either,
And that was why I want wanted to help, you know,
I wanted to get in there. I wanted to fight
so that maybe my teammates could try to love me
more again. But then I realized that maybe that isn't
the case. So I just went ahead and tried to
break my hand so I wouldn't have to go through
the season and let people talk bad about me the
way that they're going to do. You know that New
(24:17):
York media, they're pretty relentless, man, and they really really
taken aim at me. I know you've seen it. You've
had to take the calls, and you've had to do quotes.
In fact, some of the quotes I've seen from you
I didn't like, by the way, But we could talk
about that another time. But I tell you, like, nobody
likes me, so I just want to hit it and
broke my hand so I can have some time to
think about what my next step is going to be.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Well, I gotta tell you, Daniel, not the worst thing
in the world. We're gonna make this thing work, but
you're probably avoiding the inevitable. The conversation most likely went
something like that, shame kudos to you.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
No, I was just kidding.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
I don't think in that moment that's necessarily running through
his head. However, it's probably what his agent may be thinking.
Was another quarterback competition that we probably should touch on.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
We talked about a little bit yesterday.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
There's not a ton that, at least in my mind,
I look at and their true quarterback competitions, because there's
a rookie that's been drafted, there's a veteran there. We
all know eventually the rookie is going to get that
shot in that opportunity. The Las Vegas Raiders are one
of those teams that doesn't have that scenario. You have
a second year quarterback in Aidan O'Connell, you have a
free agent that was brought into Gardner Minshew, and from
(25:26):
all accounts from our insider one Livar Arrington, you kind
of said, it's it's still kind of even up there.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Maybe but maybe O'Connell. You know, sure, what the hell
that one?
Speaker 4 (25:37):
I don't know. I don't know what that was.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
But the point is, at this point we've heard DeVante
Adams way in he's watching this competition very closely given
how it impacts his career or his year for that matter.
But what about Antonio Pierce at his press conference from yesterday.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
Let's take a listen.
Speaker 9 (25:57):
I don't think we've sit there and say somebody's won yet.
I think they've both had good moments. I'll go back.
I think Gardner's had you know, several days now where
he's made some plays, but then there's also some turnovers
that show up that we don't want to have happen
as well. And again, when I look at Aden, I
see a guy that's you know, throwing the ball accurate.
I see some drops by wide receivers, and I don't
think he's just on the quarterbacks. I think overall offensive
(26:19):
play has to pick up since urgency, wide receivers, O
line just all those guys again, go back to the
very beginning of my opening statement of training camp. They're
going against a very good defense and I think they're
filling that and I think it's good for our team
the competition part. But obviously somebody again has to just
you know, step up. And you know, we still got
two more true training camp practices. Then we got Wednesday Thursday,
(26:40):
and that's when we'll started looking at what we want
to do game wise. But like I said, both quarterbacks
want to play a legit quarter Who goes out first
and who goes out second really doesn't matter. Get hopefully
the equal amount of snaps and opportunities to showcase.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
I think that's I mean, knowing peace, that's he's been.
Frank right, he's been.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
He's been.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Like that's the honest assessment of if I were being
honest and saying, what are our conversations when I talk
to him, it sounded.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
Like that he doesn't They don't know who it is.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
According to reports, at least for observers watching the practices,
they believe and feel that Gardner Minshew is kind of
making headway on the job. He's looked better in practice
of late, and it feels like he's starting to have
a better sense of the offense.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
So at least that's.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
The and that would very well be what it is.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
You know, don't you, But don't you feel like in
this scenario, knowing I guess the level of what each
quarterback is like knowing that, Okay, none of these guys
are actually I.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Don't think I mean, is it safe to say.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
I don't think you would look at in most cases
Gardner Minshew as being a starter. I don't think that
you say Gardner starter.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
He doesn't look at himself that way.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
You know, he's looking for that next opportunity where he
gets to start and showcase that he can be statistically speaking,
if you put his career stats up against others, and
then if you exclude the win loss record, which yeah,
I think it was tough during the period of time
he was thrust it into Jacksonville. I mean you have
to go back to really was a week one when
Trevor Lawrence got hurt and Gardner Minshew had to go
(28:25):
in the rest of the way and try to take
over for that season. It was pretty crazy to get
thrust it into that. He actually statistically at least played
decently well for the Colts kept them in it last
year after Anthony Richardson got hurt.
Speaker 5 (28:37):
So he's not looking at it that way. You know.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
We haven't touched on the Harrison Butker topic of conversation
because well, LeVar hates kickers. So that's probably why we're
not going to highlight even the highest paid kicker.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
I don't hate him, I just don't like him.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Yeah, well yeah, and it's not just Harrison Bucker, it's
every kicker, that's correct. I will say this about the
Chiefs quickly on that topic. Bucker's hell of a kicker.
He's the highest paid for a reason. He's been clutch.
He's been one of the better kickers. But then Mattareza,
the punter that they have gotten. Obviously, he's gotten passed.
Some of his past accusations it was super talented or
(29:13):
within his career before you know, all of that stuff
came to the forefront. Now the Chiefs have him. I mean,
this is a loaded roster and they're specialists, are loaded.
So that three peat that has been elusive to every
other NFL franchise. I just feel like with the additions
of Xavier Worthy, who looks like he's bringing a lot
(29:34):
to the table so far, it I mean, it could
be one of those years again. Could we see the
Chiefs just dominate time and Tom Agim speaking of by
the way, dominating, do you play a little fantasy LaVar,
you got any players maybe should keep a eye on
anyone made the Raiders roster, or someone.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
Keep an eye on, say Kwon Barkley. I know, I know,
I'm listen.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
I know that's an easy one for me because he's
a Penn State or Penn State great, but yeah, going
into Philly, I think if we I thought we saw
an amazing Saquon in New York with the situation he
had playing out there, wait till you see a happy
Saquon with a much much better offensive front and more
weapons on the outside. I think this sets up for
(30:15):
him to be a fantasy football juggernaut this year.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
And by the way, speaking of it, does sound like
that offense there in Philly for Jalen Hurts with Saquon
now is going to be thriving under the Kellen Moore.
They're a new offensive coordinator. I was gonna stay on
the topic of the Las Vegas Raiders. Brock Bauers, Okay,
I like that that two tight set day. Now, we've
talked a lot about the quarterback competition and DeVante Adams.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
What about brock Bauers and Michael Meyer.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
A nice little one to two punch combination of tight
ends should be fun to watch to see how they
impact your fantasy team. And speaking of fantasy, DraftKings has
many ways to play fantasy football, from playing week at
the contest the newest game from the DraftKings Pick six,
And speaking of fantasy football, when your fantasy football season
is over before it started, like your star running back
(31:04):
tearses acl where your quarterback one is out to lunch
this year, well, don't worry about suffering through some ridiculous
last place punishment from your friends. Because DraftKings has many
ways to play fantasy, so every week is like a
whole new season, from playing weekly contest for your share
of millions to the newest game from DraftKings Pick six.
(31:24):
More ways to play fantasy on DraftKings means more shots
to win.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
DraftKings, we get you, So we got that.

Speaker 7 (33:56):
Let's make history and now.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Would you rather your random topics, sports or otherwise?
Speaker 5 (34:06):
All right, Lee, what do we got? Sticky? Itchy? How
are you doing that?
Speaker 4 (34:09):
All right?
Speaker 10 (34:09):
Guys, I know you've we've talked a little bit about
the food at the Olympic village, right is.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
That sticky and nicky?
Speaker 10 (34:18):
Some some say sticky, some say itchy?
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Maybe uh itchy?
Speaker 10 (34:21):
Well, most recently, American swimmer Adam Pede came and alleged
that he found worms in his fish.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
Oh wow, not a great look.
Speaker 10 (34:32):
But I was gonna ask, if you guys were Olympic athletes,
would you rather eat every meal at the Olympic Village
or be every meal be fast food?
Speaker 5 (34:40):
Oh? Man, I hope the Olympic Village would be better.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Than fast That's what I would have That's what I
would think. But dang, not if you find in worms
before you said finding worms, I would have said Olympic village.
After you said finding worms. I mean, chances are maybe
you're separating food.
Speaker 5 (35:00):
By the way, I didn't think it was in fish.
It was in fish they found the.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
Worms, that's what p D said. That's right, that's just disturbing.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
I mean I would literally probably starve myself at that point. Dang,
I'm just saying I would not want that crap in
my body. That worms for some reason grossed me the
hell out. Can you imagine seeing that crawled through a
fish like a steak like you got about to eat though?
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Yeah, yeah, that's that's uh hell yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
All right.
Speaker 10 (35:36):
We've been talking about Brandon Ayuk. Would you rather trade
for Brandon Ayuk? Pay him a big contract or. We
haven't brought this up yet. Jordan Addison, you know, got
busted for the duy. He's looking at a three game suspension.
Or would you rather trade for Jordan Addison still in
his rookie deal.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
I'm gonna trade for Jordan Addison. Man, It's cheaper.
Speaker 5 (35:56):
It be cheaper. He's a rookie deal.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
I mean, he's he's got really probably two years left,
three years left. Although you're only getting for fourteen games.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
I mean he I'm gonna still take thousand yards last.
That baby can ball. He just he just needs some
guidance and hopefully he's made enough mistakes where he's gonna
leave it alone. I'm taking Addison. It's just cost effective.
Speaker 5 (36:18):
Yeah, I think I think I'm given Queasi a dop famensa.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
There a general manager there, call trying to get Jordan
off the off their hands.
Speaker 10 (36:27):
Guys, would you rather sit down for a meal with
Tom Brady or Bill Belichick?
Speaker 3 (36:34):
No disrespect to Tom, the new teammate of Fox Sports,
but probably coach Belichick. I'd be I'd want to pick
his mind about a lot. I'd rather go play like
a round of golf from Tom. You'll get a little
more time with him like that. I think Belichick and
like a sixty minute lunch or something could get you
through every question you've got. I think he's like that
efficient with all of it.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
I would have said Tom because of the type of company.
You know, might be some good look people, really good
looking people around them. But now seeing what Bill Belichick's
personal life decisions have become, I mean that all things
are equal, I would assume so same age, same brackets,
(37:14):
you know, same everything. So I'm a probably, since I
I've spent time with Tom before, I probably choose Belichick
just to see what that was like.
Speaker 4 (37:25):
I'm gonna go with Belichick.
Speaker 10 (37:27):
Guys, you're on a stranded island. Stranded on a deserted island,
would you rather live in a treehouse, a boat or
a cave?
Speaker 4 (37:34):
Oh? Treehouse?
Speaker 5 (37:36):
Treehouse wore pretty dope.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Yeah, treehouse, But.
Speaker 5 (37:39):
I mean, I don't know. The boat might be safest.
I mean, you know, unless you that's a big like
storm surg or something.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
The boat would be pretty safe. But I think the
treehouse would be super safe too.
Speaker 5 (37:51):
It'd be fun. They would take me back the cave,
just I don't know, I might be saving in some points.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
No, I'm not doing no cave, no part of that,
not unless I got will be traps, you know, booty traps,
