Var I gotta ask you because every day I kind
of give you an update a little bit on the Olympics,
but this one stood out to me as I was
preparing for the show, looking at the rundown and I
have to bring in lead.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
To Lap on this one, let's bring in lead to Lap.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
Well, we talked about the US women's national team, which
is referring to the soccer team, and then Lee put
on the rundown the dream team.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Advance. Lee, explain yourself, this is not the dream team
that we all remember or know.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
If it was a nineteen ninety two, ninety six whatever
Olympics it was.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
Oh, you're right, I'm sorry. I still call the dream team.
I don't know. I'm nostalgic.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
So you call, we'll do dream of the team that
is in the Olympics right now. I get it, Lee,
you were dreaming this was the team that that you saw.

Speaker 6 (02:06):
Like, I guess I missed the memo. I still do
call them the dream team. I thought that was just
kind of I know it.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
I know it was.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Well, I did, are correct, and what you were saying.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
We did have one and two.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
We qu are correct. But Lee, you know I get
I get from I get it Team us A. It
is team USA.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
It's team USA, but it's not the dream team.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
With the dominance that was displayed by the greatest Olympic
team of all time.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
Yeah, okay, you know I was also in the middle
of an h o A meeting and well, you know
that's not you know what that's not. That's a bad excuse.
That's a bad excuse.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Because you're turning your back on those people.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
Yeah, but it wasn't an h o A meeting, just
being like bored as hell, and I was like, I'm
doing the rundown, which is which is a shame to
you guys, because that means I'm I'm half assing you guys,
and I put Dream Team there, so that's my fault.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
I'm glad we can all share this moment on the lee.
I do want to get you one.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
I do want to get to the Olympics, and we'll
talk about that at some point. But I'm a little
more concerned about your HOA status given the fact you're moving. Yes,
it's been an update for our show. And also you
would be turning down as the HA president.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
Yes, this was a topic of conversation during the HOA
meeting yesterday.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
I basically told them I'm out, I'm out, but there
you know, they's like.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
You're gonna get you.

Speaker 6 (03:30):
You're cool you if you I'm out, all right, And
they're like, but we still want you here and you're
invited to the pool parties and all that stuff. I
was like, I'll be here, go, I'll be in.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Never mind, not after you guys.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
Never mind, I got copies of the keys. Don't worry, they're.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Going to change the locks on you.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
I'll be using the pool room everything.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
So hold on a second. They told you to come
back for the pool parties.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
They told me come back anytime. They love me, you know,
as long as I'm cleaning up whatever needs to be
cleaned up, which I'm not going to be doing.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
But do you get to name your successor?

Speaker 6 (04:01):
That's a good question. I don't know who I would name.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Hmm, you haven't thought about this?

Speaker 6 (04:06):
Who I would name as my successor?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Like the new president. Because here's what's gonna happen. One
of two things. Either it's gonna go dramatically downhill and
you think they're gonna blame that guy, but then he'll
just blame it on you. Or it goes way better
and then that guy takes all the credit because he's like, yeah,
we got better from what leader.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Either way, it's a downside for you, buddy.

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Yeah, I'm I'm very much letting the team down right now.
I was in charge of a big project, and I
basically told him like, yeah, good luck with that. I
don't plan on being here very long.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
But the project.

Speaker 6 (04:43):
Rebuilding all the patios because in California you have we
were built in the sixties and at we've hit the
threshold where you have to have engineers come in and
make sure everything's up to code, and we are not.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
So LeVar, couldn't you see like Lee living in a
place as like sixty. He's like, you know, kind of
shag and like different decoors.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Oh you should see this place. It is.

Speaker 6 (05:04):
It's funky.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Why I picked it all that stuff, that's what you
picked it.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
Yeah, it's got it's got character. Man, when you're looking
for a place you want, you want character. You don't
want cookie cutter.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Which means it has roaches.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
Oh yeah, it.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Has everything.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
When you put back in a lady friend like, what
what do they say about it? Oh?

Speaker 3 (05:23):
They love it?

Speaker 6 (05:24):
Like, oh this is uh retro. This is the word
they'll use.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Oh my god.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
I'm like, yeah it is, isn't it. I'll show you
some more. I'll show you what else. I'll show you
some more. I got retro too. I don't shave all right,
all right, well there you go.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
And there you go for the Olympics store.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
H o A up not u s a h o
a h that's right, all right.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
You know how everyone has you know, everyone has an
Olympics tattoo like the rings. I think to get an
h o a tattoo, just h o A interesting.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
There we go. You gotta get h hoap though you
know ha president. Yeah, because you were the president, you know,
so you need to make sure you're at the.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
P Probably should put your years to know the term
you served. Yeah, status, baby, we have been in the
flect two yearsly.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
Yes, sir? Too long? Two years too long.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Yeah, I know how you feel, buddy, I know how
you feel. Been there before.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Dang I hate h o as. I hate them, Yeah,
I hate don't know.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
They keep things nice though I moved.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
I moved to places where there is no hoa. I
just I've did it quite a few times.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
I hate them, I hate them, love the house. Can't
move here and do it. I'm out.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Can't do it, won't do it, won't do it? Can win?
Would it?

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Speaking of winning with it? Have we had a chance
to kind of see some of the Olympic dominance.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Of yesterday fifteen baby, Yeah, did.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
You watch the race? Uh?

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Not live, so.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
If you saw the finish, though, I go back to
the one hundred meters, wasn't that very and then granted
it was for second place, but wasn't that a very
similar way in which I believe the gentleman was from
Great Britain and but the other gentleman was from the US.
I thought we might have gotten first and second. So again,
I'm not sure why they didn't show the photo finish

(07:27):
because it looked like.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
It was that close.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Maybe because it's a longer race, but that was one
where the young man who finished in the for the
bronze is actually from Notre Dame. So nice we were
watching cheering the mine was a really really cool deal.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
That's pretty cool. I just say they should run it back, like,
not the entire race when it's that long, but if
it's like the hundred meters or fifteen hundred, yeah, you
should like do like a eight or you know, like
a four hundred for the longer races.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
The only reason why I wouldn't want that to happen
is because it would take away from what that race was,
which to your point about the fifteen hundred is that
last two hundred three hundred meters and then and it
was both the Americans who were grinding. I was talking
about this with a buddy last night at dinner, and

(08:22):
again we were starting off today's show talking about the Olympics.
And we've done this every single week because we don't
get to do this every year. This is once every
four years. And what I always love about it is
the pride that the athletes show, the pride that I
think we all have in our country and all that,
but it's it's like the effort too. Like that was
an example of two Americans who were just decided to say,

(08:45):
we're not gonna like lose, We're gonna find a way
of trying to win this thing. And they put the
I mean Hawker, the guy won. I mean he literally
just starts sprinting and he just he had more than
anyone else, and it just it was awesome to watch
him kind of fight.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Through to get his positioning and eventually win.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
But I love those moments, man, Like I love the
fact that every single day right now you can watch
somewhere from the US representing our country proudly.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
It's awesome. I think it's one of the best times
of the year.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
I agree with that. Do you do you do you know?
Do we know when they took the water?

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Never mind, never mind. I was like, cause I'm like,
the steeple chase, isn't there water? Yeah, and every one,
but it's not all of them.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
It's not everyone.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
No, I thought it was all of them for some reason.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
I think it's about the halfway point, which I'm sure
Lee could look this up. That actually is probably a
track event that Lee might have participated in for some reason.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Huh.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
But I believe it's like at the halfway.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Point or something like that, the water and after the
steeple chase. I wonder why they turned it into that,
Like you jump over the hurdle and then there's one
where you got to go into the water. After you
jump into the I feel like that you're putting yourself
in harm's way, Like you could get int your pretty
pretty badly going into a little water pit. Like it's

(10:00):
kind of strange.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
I noticed that people actually started to run to jump
on top of actually the hurdle itself, and then they
would jump over the water. They could never actually jump
over and land in the water. They just jump on
top and jump from there.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
You know how in shape you have to be to
be able to jump onto the hurdle, go over the
water pit and ooh yeah, see it just looks crazy.
Oh somebody did they go down? Look like somebody went down.
It just seems like one of those types of deals

(10:35):
where that takes so much out of you, like more
than any other race would. Yeah, it just seems crazy
to me. Man.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Now, clearly you're watching live right now on the television.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
It's not live. It usually had. It's not live, but
I mean, well.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
It's six hours ahead there, it's noon in Paris.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
It doesn't it usually has live under the NBC and.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
The Do you think it's a replay right now you
watch it?

Speaker 3 (11:01):
I think so it might be. It might be, but
I mean, you know, anytime it's distance, it just seems
as though it's the same countries that are always upfront.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
What countries are those?

Speaker 3 (11:12):
African?

Speaker 4 (11:16):
Do you?

Speaker 3 (11:18):
They just see And I could give you the reasoning
behind it, but I don't want I don't want to.
I just think genetically speaking, people, you know, I am
gonna do it if we were, how you gonna do it?
A gonna do it. Ay gonna do it because it's
kind is really super funny for real, but it'll get

(11:39):
taken the wrong way. Clearly people are paying attention to
our show way more than they ever have, and they
take take us out of context, especially me, So I'm
gonna leave it alone. I mean, let's just say this.
Let's just say this. Let's just say this all right,
Like back in the day when you were like the
postal service, you know, you had to deliver, you had

(12:03):
to deliver messages, and and you like sometimes you know,
like how you can do like next day delivery. Yeah, well,
I mean just keep it by, like you know, the
postal Service wasn't using vehicles, you know what I mean.
So when you was delivering messages, you know it was
people that was taking out.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Are you saying, are you saying, wasn't the postman at
Kevin Coster movie?

Speaker 4 (12:30):
Are you saying that's an inaccurate portrayal.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
I'm just saying. I'm just saying, you got some you
got some postal services that can do you know, standard
five to six days delivery, maybe a little longer, but
then you have the overnight deliveries, you know what I mean.
And if you're not using a plane, you know, or

(12:53):
something like that, you know, vehicle of some sort, you
still got to get it there the next day. Those
are people that's competing in the Olympics.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Who do you think roots for them more?

Speaker 3 (13:04):
You were me, yeah, yeah, because anytime anytime you see
people that can run like that for as long as
they run for yeah, it it blows me because I've
never been able to do distance. So it's like when
you see people that you can do what they do,
it's I don't feel like it's as impressive when you

(13:26):
see people do things that you you just know you
cannot do. I just cannot run. Like, forget Olympic caliber.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Giving birth, I'm like, well, there.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
You go, there you go, Like then you start thinking
like what is that? What are you like you ever
think about like what does a kid feel like in
your belly? And then all I mean it is an alien.
It's it's like it's it's a it's there, and then
it's not. It's not staying there. It's not there forever
it's there, you know, and then it's got to come

(14:00):
out and all that's got to happen, and then everything's
gotta work correctly, which by the way and Game of
Thrones like Chicks was dying left and right and childbirth
and Game and not Game of Thrones and House of Dragons.
And I thought that the ending of House the Dragons
was horrible. I gotta say. I mean, I know they're
setting up. This was like the epic setups of the

(14:21):
next season, and and that's going to be where all
the wars are fought and you find out what's going on,
and you can compare to the book the book readers
who like like the book thump you about. Did you
read the book and then you look at the writers
and how they wrote it and where do we end
up with the dragons and who's going to do what?

(14:41):
And did Vagar really eat rinera spoiler alert and all? Kay?
I just I don't know, man, But I do know
that I do chair for for for moms that give
birth one like they're like superheroes. For certain I think.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
We're straight a little bit. Wait for the distance for us?
Yeah that was well done.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
Lee.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
Do you watch the distance running and do you root
for anyone in particular?

Speaker 6 (15:07):
I get exhausted watching the distance running. You know, I
ran mount the mile in uh when I was in
my track days, but I can't do this stuff, man,
same with like water polo anything.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Wait, what do you run the mile in? Like what
was your best time?

Speaker 6 (15:21):
It was either it was either five fifty five or
six o five. I forget if I was.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Right at it or did not run a mile in
five minutes.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
It was probably six o five then, yeah, probably six
o five probably sounds right, but I don't remember. It
was a long time.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
You were like, yeah, I'm not gonna try.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
That's a fast one.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
I didn't even want to do it. That wasn't really
my You used to have to do it in school. No,
I mean it was a part of it.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
Was a part of like getting your grade.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
But that wasn't like yeah time right, But that wasn't
like my my go to event in track and field?

Speaker 4 (15:54):
But what was your go to event?

Speaker 6 (15:57):
What was my go to event in track and field?
Track and field wasn't my thing. But I you wouldn't believe.
You're not gonna believe this, We're not You're not gonna
be the hammers.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Yeah, I wish there a no way.

Speaker 6 (16:07):
Long jump, high jump, two hundred meter mile.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Long jump.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
So we have to pick between those.

Speaker 6 (16:14):
Those were the four I did.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
How high did you jump?

Speaker 6 (16:16):
I don't remember it was I was young, so it
wasn't too high.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
So long jump was your event? Uh?

Speaker 6 (16:22):
Not really? Did you ever get track? And field was
not my thing?

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Serious meter was your event? Then?

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Might have been?

Speaker 6 (16:28):
Yeah, I think two hundred meters probably was my event.
And I don't remember what white times were. I'm not
like that, you know what. I hated tast athlete and
we didn't know it. I was pretty somebody that's from
his his past. I was really good through all the
way through uh probably uh senior year of high school.

Speaker 4 (16:47):
I mean I've seen Leeve run his light on his feet, he.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Has light twinkle toes. I called him.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
I was, you know, captains of my teams, all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
Lee's Lee's hailes never touched the ground when he runs.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Leeve. What else do we have coming up today?

Speaker 2 (17:00):
For?

Speaker 4 (17:00):
We have the Olympics. For the Olympics show.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
Yeah, for the Olympics. I'll have that ready. Well do
you know that's always on my FIDA Olympics. That's you
in or out forty Olympics. Oh, I always have that
ready for you. You inter out, okay, always have your
Olympic events.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
I'm in with Gabby Thomas. Okay, I'm waiting.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
For the Have we have we seen the uh the
hammer throw and all that fun stuff?

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Yes, yeah, we actually the US took silver in the
hammer throw.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Nice yeah, us Thor's hammer Baby.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Okay, now we're now we're getting a little bit off
the rest.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Of VARs hammer you know, ready, Brady, you tell me
what do we got left?

Speaker 6 (17:42):

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Should I stay or should I go? A little tired? Today?

Speaker 5 (19:02):
It is that hump day. It is that Wednesday. It's
that one you gotta kind of grind.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Through the way through humping the hell out of me, Doug. Yes,
Oh man.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
It sounds like Lee's Tuesday night good hip thrust going
on right now? Randa, how are you doing this morning.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Day? Yesterday?

Speaker 4 (19:23):
See what does that mean? Lee?

Speaker 5 (19:25):
I got like two hours of sleep and I went
to the Dodgers game.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
It was it was It was a live It was

For you and your your your crew. Yeah, dang yeah.
Did y'all get remote?

Speaker 6 (20:00):
I was trying to be the peace person.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
So so people were going to fight. Yeah, who are
they playing?

Speaker 6 (20:06):
They were playing the Phillies.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
So it was more because the Philly.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
Fans, right, I would like to say, so.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Interesting. Who can really say everyone's a little heated?

Speaker 4 (20:20):
You know what I don't understand.

Speaker 6 (20:21):
It's usually a Dodgers fan, he is involved. I would
say the boyfriend was a Dodger fan.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 5 (20:27):
What I don't get though, is there's there's one hundred
and sixty two games folks, like, does any one matter
that much? Probably not, at least not till.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
The end, you know. So that's I don't know that
we need to get that mad about it.

Speaker 6 (20:40):
It's usually not about the game.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
Oh what's it about then? Hm?

Speaker 6 (20:45):
Usually a woman's involved, right.

Speaker 5 (20:48):
So there was there was a moment of sportsmanship where
it was like whoa Phillies.

Speaker 8 (20:52):
And then it was like, don't talk to my woman,
and then it was like I was just so yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
It was crazy.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
Oh Randa, how he said itang just no before that,
the guy don't talk to my woman?

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Oh wow, oh wow.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
That help men's sound.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
That's called the MPC voice. Oh, come on, unplayable character.
That's messed up.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
Man, that's true.

Speaker 5 (21:24):
I said, And he was just like, no, that's an
NPC character that's messed up.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Yeah. Yeah, you don't want to be an MPC that's
for sure. Doesn't work out well that way. Well, Raina,
I'm sorry to deal with that. At least you're you're
back here, you're safe.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
All is good. I'm sure go back to a game soon.

Speaker 6 (21:46):
Oh yeah, definitely, I have it. I have a Dodgers
shirt now, so I have a reason to go back there.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Okay, great initials, I'll tell you that.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
Well, I think I've got a reason for LeVar to
go back to Pittsburgh.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
It's an old stopping ground. Uh yeah.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
They've named the start of LeVar and that starters Russell Wilson.
Despite the fact that he really hasn't been healthy in
training camp, and hasn't got an opportunity to play very much.
And you know, there's been some reports justin fields has
looked good, which I'm sure.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
That's the case. We've seen some highlights in some different throws.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
But it appears, despite the fact that Russell Wilson dealing
with a calf injury, he will be the starter going
into at least the initial preseason games, and it looks
like the beginning of the season.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Initial thoughts on this expected.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
I think that's to be expected. This is a team
that makes the playoffs, finds a way to make the playoffs,
finds a way to have winning seasons, but has been
largely in part criticized and even at times Mike Tomlin
has been I mean, ridicule may be a little bit

(22:56):
too harsh, but really has been called in question and
has been under fire in terms of has he hit
the ceiling as far as how far this team can go?
And if I'm looking at what they have going on
right now, you got both guys out of value, valued price,

(23:17):
so you didn't have to you didn't get taken to
the cleaners to be able to get them there, so
you had value there. You have great potential. I mean,
you possibly have, if not Doug Great, the best defensive
player on your defense, he's at least in the conversation
top top three, top four, especially when he's healthy. And

(23:40):
TJ Watt. You have weapons. Now, I keep hearing about
the Ayyuk trade possibly being a real thing. That's a
lie for Pittsburgh. I would say, if they add Brandon
Ayuk to that roster, that now becomes a probably that's
a missing piece for their offense because they have a

(24:01):
tight end. They have a receiver give up in exchange
for him, that would be a great question. I mean,
and and here's what I would say here, here's an
interesting here's an interesting I don't know. I mean, they
gave up trade lance in a trade to Cowboys. But
imagine if they maybe wanted justin fields, you know, would

(24:24):
that be would that be a legitimate, you know, kind
of swap out trade, both on their rookie contracts. You know,
it's it's there's the idea that Rock Party is your
guy of the future. But I mean, you you still
we value the backup position very well. I mean Rock

(24:47):
Party has gone out. I mean they went out last
year due to what concussion I believe I mean with that,
I mean, you don't Brandon I you doesn't want to
be there because they don't want to pay him. They
don't want to pay them, so now they want to
move them. I feel like you would get a lot
of value out of getting Justin Fields now that I mean,
I don't feel like there's any other player that you
could value enough where you'd say, yep, let's take that

(25:11):
for an exchange for this, unless it's like what Chicago
did with Justin Fields in the first place, which is
we just needed to unload him.

Speaker 5 (25:21):
It is interesting you bring up the comment of Justin
Fields being a part of the trade package. I don't
know if you are, if you're Pittsburgh, if you do
it only because you might not be sure about Russell Wilson.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
If I were, if I were them, Yeah, and.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
So I had me looking at other pieces on the
Pittsburgh Steelers' roster. I mean, would you be looking at
swapping George Pickens, I mean that wouldn't make much sense,
would make George Pickens says, well, I'm saying it would
not make sense to I agree with him. He's a rookie.
He looks to be your number one. But if you
bring in Brandon Ayuk. Aren't you saying to George Pickens

(25:59):
that he's kind ofnumber two now?

Speaker 3 (26:01):
I think so, I think would have to earn that
number one position because will.

Speaker 5 (26:05):
You be getting paid that I think you look at
the scenario example between Hassan Redick getting traded from the
Eagles to the Jets that don't have a contract in place, like,
no one wants to go through that, And I think
whatever team ends up trading for Brandan Ayuk, there will
be a contract announced soon after. That's just I mean,
that's just how I think it's going to have to work.

(26:27):
So I can't imagine the Steelers trade slipping Like.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
I don't think the Steelers are that type of team
that's going to blow anybody away with the contracts that
they're just not known for that, So that could be
working against that could be working against Brandon Ayuk.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
What I guess what I was trying to get to
is looking at their roster.

Speaker 5 (26:46):
Yeah, you almost would have to look at the defensive
side of the ball, whether there might be a couple
of players or a player that would make sense if
you're trying to do a swap for Brendan Ayuk for who.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
But then you saclifice that if you're Pittsburgh.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
I mean, that's that's the reality though, in order to
make the trade go, And if you really believe in
you know, Brendan and I you coming in being your
guy giving you that lift, it'd be interesting, it'd be
it'd be interesting to see who that would be. But
the but the defensive side of the roster for Pittsburgh
is in my opinion, at least, you know, much more proven.

(27:21):
I mean, you could legitimately have the first three round
picks from the Pittsburgh still is starting. Troy Fontanu is
going to play a right tackle for him, Zach Fraser
is going to play center, and Roman Wilson I assume
in the three wide receiver package, he's their third round
pick out of Michigan, he'll be starting. So you have
all three of those guys on that side. And and
you know, in comparison to the to the defense, you

(27:43):
got guys like Cam Cam Hayward that have been played
there forever, t J.

Speaker 4 (27:46):
Watt, you know, other guys who.

Speaker 5 (27:47):
Are new to the team, like Patrick Queen, but he's
been playing for a while too. So I just I
look at that side of the ball I think there's
more of a chance that it could be a defensive player,
maybe more so than than an offense player, if what's
going to happen.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
But I'll say this, and I'll come back to the
point of what do I think about Russ starting I'll
close out with this, But just to put the whole
in my estimation of the IU deal, I almost feel
as though John Lynch is taking a shot and Kyle

(28:22):
Shanahan are taking a calculated risk on doing exactly what
Baltimore did with Lamar Jackson. Like, Okay, you want to trade.
You don't want to take the offer that we're putting
to you on the table, find the team, find the team,
and then once you find a team, or once you

(28:44):
can't find a team, then you take a good heart.
Look at what we're offering you. And we're saying, look,
we're offering you a very, very nice deal. It's something
you can be happy about. You can take care of
your family. It may not be as much as you wanted,
but the market has spoken. We've given you the opportunity

(29:05):
to do it. There's no reason for you to have
any hard feelings towards us. Take the contract. Let's make
some plays. Let's win some football games, and just maybe
a little bit further out into the future, you continue
to prove yourself and you'll get that contract that you want.
You won't even have to ask for it. It's just
a negotiation. It's a formality. I almost feel like that's

(29:27):
what they're banking on, because why would you try to
make this type of move so late. The money is
gone in terms of free agency and all that stuff
is gone. You've already brought in the free agents that
you wanted to do, You've already made the trades you
want to make. Generally speaking, at this point time, is
probably only an injury that makes it where it's a

(29:48):
it's kind of like you got to do it. So
to me, I almost feel like that's that's the risk
that they're they're taking. They're taking a gamble on giving
eye you the opportunity to seek seek the trade, and
they see his representation in him, see that they can't
do it. And then now John Lynch is sitting there
like he's not the bad guy anymore. Cole Shanahan, They're
not the bad guy anymore. I'm the good guy. I

(30:09):
told you this is what we're offering.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
This I mean, there's three things that could happen though,
at least from the forty nine ers perspective.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
And then this is where they're probably at.

Speaker 5 (30:17):
Either Brendan and Ayu stays plays in the contract he's under,
and you have to revisit this conversation depending on what
the forty nine ers decide to do after the season.
He can hold out where he will be subject to fines,
there's that element of it. Or he can accept a
lesser offer where whether it's from the forty nine ers
or someone else, he can accept that lesser, big offer,

(30:39):
whatever it is.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
That's to me the three scenarios that will play out.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
And that's where I feel like the forty nine ers
haven't had a sense of urgency to get it done
because they're not the ones that feel like they immediately
need to figure this out.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Because they don't want to lose them well.

Speaker 5 (30:54):
They don't want to lose him, but they also, I mean,
they draft the first round ride receiver in Ricky Piersol,
so they've they've already got a guy on the roster
they drafted to replace him. And the wide receiver position,
even though it's clearly important, you'll hear in the promos
Colin Coward sign about the last two years for Patrick Mahomes,
you know, leading the league in passing yards, back to

(31:15):
back Super Bowls without arguably one of the best, if
not the best wide receiver in Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
It's a point.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
I mean, we tend to make the position valued because
of you know, fantasy and all these other things. When
it comes down to it, is that ultimately what leads
you to a Super Bowl or helps you win a
Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
I don't know, maybe not in the case the last
two years.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Yeah, so.

Speaker 5 (31:37):
Maybe the fort Niners look at it and say, hey,
we've been there a decent amount too, and we don't
overvalue the wide receiver position either, Like we stack our
picks and our money on our defensive front.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
Which they have and they do.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
And we find, you know what, we believe to be
extraordinary talented players and guys like Christian mccaffere, guys like
George Kittle and Dibo who can do a bunch of
different things. We try to find those guys. We try
to pay those guys when they prove it. So I
can see why it's dragged out to this point. But
I do think in the next week or so that
there will be a some sort of ending coming.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Before the season starts. At least.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
Now back to Russ, he has shorter runway. They have
a shorter runway with Russ, and I think they got
to figure out right now if they can win, if
Russell Wilson can indeed find that form that he once
had in Seattle and be a catalyst for this team.
I think if if he doesn't start, I think you've

(32:38):
stripped him of the opportunity of that magic that he
once had being a part of what he does. I
just don't think you get the same pop from from
Russell Wilson if you if you say Justin Fields won
the job out outright, he's your starter. We're going to
see what he does first. I just think that that

(32:58):
does not serve them making the moves and having those
two on the roster at the same time, there's more
runway for Justin Fields. He's younger, He's still relatively got
a small, smaller, much smaller body of work. And if
it were not to work with Russ, then you go
with with the younger guy and Justin Fields and you

(33:19):
don't look back.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Okay, let me let me up against it. You got
a lot of things up against it.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
So real quick, how would you defined Russell Wilson's season
last year in Denver?

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Uh, I would say quickly, I mean it was solid.
It was solid.

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Russell Wilson's last year in Denver, which was not good
enough for Sean Payton or the Denver Broncos, was a
better statistical year than Justin Fields has ever had by
a wide.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
Margin at a quarterback.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
Think about that, I could dig it over three thousand
yards passing. Fields has never done that, sixty six percent
eight percentage. Fields has never done that. Over twenty touchdown
passes he had twenty six. Fields has never done that.
And in fact eight interceptions, which a Fields has also
never done that, never had less than nine in the season.
So I am a Justin Fields fan. I believe there

(34:16):
is upside there. He was in a tough situation. But
also at the same time, I can say I'm a Russell.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Wilson and Russe was in a tough situation too.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
And Russell was in a tough set. He had a
coach that didn't want on he did. Imagine that dude going.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Out of his office. Man, right, you want me to
play for you and you kick him out of my office.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
So I think I think Russell would be good on
this team, good in the system.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
I think Justin Fields is there. But I hope they
give whoever is a starter. I don't care whether whether
it's Wilson or Fields. I hope they give them some time.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
That's the thing that like I would like to see
is don't make it a three four game thing.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
You know, give them, you know, five.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
Six, seven, eight games before you then pull the ripcord
on them.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
At least that would be, you.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
Know, my hope with all of them coming up next
here on two pros and a cup of joke come
to your live from the tirect dot com studios. We've
got a story that apparently NFL fans are totally disgusted
by this something the Arizona Cardinals are doing.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
And Leada the app will have that for us on the
other side of the spring.

Speaker 5 (35:13):
Now it's time for a little something we call this
Yeah sometimes.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Sure it got to everything in the world of sports
or entertainment.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
Good thing. The guys are here to bring you in
case you missed it. All right, Lee, what do we
got guys?

Speaker 6 (35:30):
You know, I love introducing some new foods to you.
Usually the laugh whether hey, var hey, Usually this is
a U in or out segment. But I had to
bring it to you because it's right at the top
of my list. Here, the Arizona Cardinals are introducing their
new food menu, fifty plus new items. You can get
a chicken and waffle sandwich and meet Paul Hogy on

(35:52):
a stick, vegan buffalo, cauliflower bites, vienna beef, ailapeno chatter,
cheddar dogadilla, a doug adilla, or this new one that
has a lot of fans kind of throwing up in
their mouths, which is a cotton candy burrito. It looks
like somebody puked in their mouth.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Yeah, I wouldn't even share the photo with you guys
because it looks disgusting. I couldn't find a price, although
I don't I can't imagine a price I would pay
for this.

Speaker 4 (36:19):
Birdt Okay, But hold on a second.

Speaker 5 (36:21):
I mean, do you think they just on a whim
We're like, oh, yeah, let's put that on the menu.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
That sounds good.

Speaker 5 (36:25):
I mean someone's tasted this, Someone's actually made this taste
and it had been like, no, this is a good idea.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
People are gonna like this I think.

Speaker 6 (36:32):
It's one of those things like you put it on
the menu and they're gonna buy it just because it
includes Eminem's Sprinkles, ice cream, fruit Loop cereal, all wrapped
inside a thick piece of cotton candy.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
So it's a desserts it's not like an actual burrito.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
That sounds like rot your teeth out right then and
there type action. I don't want that dip. I don't
like that at all. Look, I'm ready to say I'm out.
I'd like to talk about.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
And people wonder why our country has an obesity problem.
Oh my god, that.

Speaker 5 (37:00):
Is what we're eating while we're sitting for three hours
watching a game.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
It's like, my.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Goodness, no one, no, thank you?

Speaker 4 (37:08):
All right, what else forgot?

Speaker 6 (37:09):
All right, guys, big one for you. You guys know
mister three or five, mister worldwide, right?

Speaker 3 (37:15):
Yeah? Pit bull?

Speaker 6 (37:17):
Well yeah, well he has reached an agreement with f
IU to rename their football stadium fitball stadium. He's paying
one million dollars per year.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Five ball or pit bull. Now, yeah, it's really called
pit ball b A L L.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
No.

Speaker 6 (37:36):
Yeah, Florida International University f i U Stadium is not
gonna be called pit Bull Stadium.

Speaker 5 (37:40):
They could just call it the pit Bull, you know,
like they don't need to call a stadium.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
It's like that the pit Bowl.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
That's pretty dope though.

Speaker 5 (37:47):
I mean, it does make sense for mister Worldwide to
go to, you know, being Florida International, like he is international.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
There we go.

Speaker 5 (37:57):
Oh, just the Jimmy Buffy ones. Yeah, they stop trying
to put these two together.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
It makes sense. Oh my gosh,
