How the hell we feel in here on a Tuesday morning? Huh?
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Probably better than Lee?
Speaker 6 (02:04):
How was your driving today, Windy?
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Actually?
Speaker 7 (02:12):
I got some uh, I got some new tape today,
some gorilla blue black tape.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
What you got a match man? Gotta be black?
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Now?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Oh god?
Speaker 1 (02:28):
And it's uh, it looks good, it looks good. It's good, Grill.
Speaker 6 (02:32):
Why do I feel like you had a great Monday night.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
It was okay, yeah, yeah, I treated myself.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
It sounds like it for uh, for anybody who was
not familiar with what happened lead the lapse.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Car was broken into by a couple of bums literal homeless.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Guys on Sunday morning, and Lee found one of them
and beat him up out in front of a valve.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
That though, I mean, honestly, he didn't almost beat him up.
There's something missing there. There's a hole in that story.
I don't think he almost beat him up anything.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
That almost ran him over.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
I think Lee bagged and pleaded for his life and
for his belongings is what I think is what happened.
That's translation of almost be You don't almost beat somebody up.
Like I had to sit and ponder on that yesterday,
Like I was smoking my cigar, I was sitting out back,
and I was like, almost beat him up? So what
does that mean? You didn't almost beat him up in
(03:36):
your mind? In your mind you thought you were going
to beat him up. In reality, you were begging and
pleading for your belongings. That's what I came to the conclusion.
I came to the verdict, came back that you're guilty
of saying you were about to whoop some ass, because
you don't almost whoop somebody's ass, like almost somebody's.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Holding you back. Or yeah, either do or you don't.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
Yeah, Like you don't almost beat somebody's ass when you have.
Speaker 7 (04:02):
When you have security cameras and six employees looking at you.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
You on one day, Yeah, you get a freebie on
that one man.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
That's a pass. They robbed you, Like, that's a pass, bro.
Like I'm not even like, I'm not even in the
frame of mind of thinking I'm almost gonna beat your
ass if I catch you, if you stole something from me,
like if I run you down.
Speaker 7 (04:28):
I caught you four dollars worth of quarters.
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Okay, but you ain't almost beat his ass though almost,
no way.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
I was relooking at some of the other text messages
he sent me on Sunday. That's my my favorite part
outside of the initial which was unprompted.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Effing bums. He writes.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Later on, he goes, you know, Lee, do you mind
if I just read this string of your rand real quick?
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Whatever, go for it, all right?
Speaker 2 (05:08):
So I asked him, where were you when your items
are stolen out of your car by a couple of
homeless guys my condo moving things from my condo into
my car. So I was back and forth, caught him
red hand and chased one down, almost beat the s
out of him. But I call it a tell was
he took the change, came back to find the window
was busted and bag gone. So I drove him down,
(05:29):
almost beat his ass in front of the Valvelene employees.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Made an empty.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
He said. He said it must have been the other guy.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Drove around the neighborhood looking for him, so many bumbs
those found cops told him to keep an eye out
for a guy with a clean black leather bag. I'm
sure they already took the laptop out and tossed it
or chucked it into whatever hole they're living in. I
came close to opening up a few tents I could
hear people inside, but I thought better of it. I
(05:59):
just finished the police from port and all of that
happened before eleven am. Lee, let me ask you, I said.
Speaker 7 (06:07):
I watched a guy smoking crack at eleven am and
the heat right outside of a church.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah. I mean that's a Sunday in La though. So
let me ask you this, Lee, ahead Monday.
Speaker 6 (06:18):
You go, you try to go to your car, you
see that obviously it's been broken into, and you go
find this guy, right, so you chase him down, You
have that conversation, you come back to your car, then
you see your windows broken. Did you not see your
windows broken the first time? Or did was that the
window get broken in between when you were talking to
this guy and the other bum came in and got
(06:38):
your backpack?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
No?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, I didn't see it the first time.
Speaker 7 (06:40):
I thought because I had left the doors open, that
they had simply just gone inside. Because I had left
the doors open. I was like, that was dumb, dumb
move by me. I'm going to be back in one minute.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
Nothing would happen to checks your door handle first before
breaking the actual window, right.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
That sounds like the dumbest bum ever.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
That's why that's why I was up.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
Said, well, I did leave it was my my my
driver's side, both the driver and the passenger that I
left open. They went through the uh, the opposite side.
Speaker 6 (07:10):
No, I saw that, But I'm saying, like, why wouldn't
you check the door handle? Like does does your door
to automatically unlock?
Speaker 7 (07:16):
The one day they did the one door that they
decided to go through was the locked door out of
the four doors.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
So instead of just opening the front door, unlocking it, yeah,
they go ahead, just bust the window.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah, thanks a lot, guys.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
But people were.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
Working then, were working as a team, so apparently tend
you going to break this down. The reason why the
ass whipping whip been Yeah, the reason why I would
have been legitimized is you caught the one with the
lesser items.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Right, That's why I didn't. That's why I didn't whoop them.
Speaker 7 (07:49):
Because I thought because it was like, you keep the quarters,
you got four dollars worth of quarters in your hand
and your bucket.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
Punch him right in his mouth and say, where's the
other dude with my bag?
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Dude, Like I said, It's all happened like within a minute.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
I didn't know what the that they had the bagad.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
Lee, but Lee, they were working together, so you you
got to punish one to get to the other one.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
I should have grabbed.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
That's that's you're correct, correct, want we're going to go
get my bag?
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Yeah, exactly, if you didn't want to want to get
my bag.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Like if you didn't want to assault the guy just
played Save Light. The whole tent on fire. That's why
I just like, I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
It's justified. And then just see what happens.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
I'll be like, listen, you got you got eight You
got eight fingers and two thumbs, all right now, I'm
gonna break one of them right now. You can take
me to get my bag right now. Or I can
break one of them fingers and then you have seven
that aren't broken, all right, but you're gonna take me
to get my bag.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Bro, I'm done talking. I'm done talking.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah, what we're going to do.
Speaker 7 (08:55):
I was looking for him yesterday, man, I've been now,
I've been zigzagging through the streets because.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
I know we're all the I't never see that.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
We told you want to flush him out, roll up
a job application and start swinging it at him.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
It's like it's like.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
It's like when you got a gold for in the backyard.
Just put a hose in the in one of the
holes and just flush him out. Like as the hardest
I've laughed on the area.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Yesterday.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
That was pretty fun.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
But now that I've been thinking about it, like I
had like horrible thoughts in my mind, man, I'm telling
you like very valient thoughts like I just don't like
a thief. I don't like a thief man like thiefs
are the worse bro By the.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Way, Brady's comment on the text chain yesterday about what
may or may not have happened in the car, that
is funny.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
That is funny.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
I mean, Lee, that's what I've been more concerned by it.
Have you been checking it for like rubbers and whatnot?
Speaker 1 (09:59):
That a soup kitchen.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
It was only gone for two minutes, man, that's what
was so upsetting.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Ready to go?
Speaker 1 (10:07):
You know what's that supposed to mean?
Speaker 3 (10:12):
This far right here, this one's going to do it?
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Oh my god, this is the one.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Oh look, door's open.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
They ain't smashed your window to get in. They was
smashing your window cause damp out. You thought they broke
your window to get in.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Oh my god, that's called.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
That's called two hands on the window.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
That's called.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Specially if it was less than two minutes.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Hey, we ain't got a lot of time.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
They got a whole bunch. But hey, grab that bag
going away. I grabbed some quarners. Man, we go get
some drinks. Get the water.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Rocks again.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
I need some rock right now.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
He sold please laptop for crack.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Just think about that.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
What they want to get this laptop off?
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Two three rocks on other show on radio or television
as a producer openly talking about the fact that his
work laptop just got sold for crack.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Oh yeah, cook, you gotta have crut thing.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
That's the most professional broadcasting show of all time.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
The old thing is just so wild, man, I'm telling you.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
I mean, but people are getting robbed out here left
and right, like it ain't It ain't just they like
Insino and all that stuff. People running up in people's
houses while they up in there. I hear you to
come up here.
Speaker 6 (12:01):
Hey, I'm not gonna lie either. There's a house a
few doors down from.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Where we live.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
These these young men man try to steal the same
car twice, like literally. They caught them on camera the
first time, told the police they tried to do it
again like two days later.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
I'm like, people are feeling.
Speaker 6 (12:21):
Boldened right now just to do whatever they want to
try to get something.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Man, It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
I mean, it's a hell of a commitment. Though they
must have really wanted that car.
Speaker 6 (12:29):
It is a unique looking car. It's like a blue Beamer.
That's kind of like a unique blue I haven't seen
that before.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
So well, listen, I know this. We've got a unique
show coming up here later on, that's for sure. We've
got another edition of in case you.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
Don't think it's already unique.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
I mean, go figure, what story will we talk about
off the top that would be more unique than two
bums ta tak taking a load off in the back
see the g and then literally now literally and then.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Rolling out with Lee's belongings and then say the recap
of it all?
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Hey, how would you have I mean, granted you would
never be in that situation anyway, how would you.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Have reacted if that was you?
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Though I told you I would have ran, I would
have randomed that. First of all, I would have made
sure my doors were locked, That's first and foremost. But
if somebody did break into my car, does that.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Say something about Lee?
Speaker 6 (13:35):
The fact that he is so willing to leave his
doors open slash unlocked?
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Does that say about this?
Speaker 5 (13:41):
There are just certain people that the things that happened
to them, you don't have to wonder why. And I'm
not saying that to be offensively I'm just saying there's
just certain things that certain people do that you're like, oh,
that made sense, Like yeah, like they checked the door,
the door was opened, like they didn't, you know, people
(14:01):
come running, but they might add.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
They went through the they went through the window.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
You don't really know, you know what, did we know
they might?
Speaker 7 (14:09):
So they opened the door and then just decided to
bust the window for you just never.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Know, man, they're bums. You don't. You don't, you can't
use logic.
Speaker 6 (14:17):
I think the greater point is, like when you listen
to LeVar is like, even if I was gonna go
back inside for a short amount of time, his life
experience has taught him to lock.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
The door, closed door, lock the doors. Yeah, man.
Speaker 6 (14:28):
You, on the other hand, are like, hey man, it's
all right, I'll be right back back.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Yep. I'm still a big deal man.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
You know what the first thing he thought was when
it happened, whiny man?
Speaker 3 (14:38):
Why man? Why do bad things happen to good people? Man?
Speaker 5 (14:43):
That that's and and then you start to realize those
same things happened to the same people, like I don't know, man.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Actually, you know who's really to play? Lee?
Speaker 6 (14:55):
Why did you get distracted when you're going back to
your apartment.
Speaker 7 (14:58):
Oh uh, neighbor wanted to talk about something that female.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Yes she did. Yes.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
All I'm saying is, if you were in a committed relationship,
you probably want to stop to talk as long.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
I don't know. Uh true, falsely.
Speaker 7 (15:19):
Oh you might be right there, Brady.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
Here's what's crazy. If he was in a committed relationship,
he wouldn't have been doing what he was doing anyway.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
That it's also true, started there right now. Yeah, let's
just start there. Oh man, Well, I don't know, but.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
They would have probably still broke into your car. That's
the thing I would have rather than broken your car.
You just came out and you're like, damn, they broke
into my car. The fact that you had the ability
to run one of them down and you didn't get
to the other one or hold him there and get
the cops there, like to say, like, where's the other
(15:57):
guy with his with his stuff.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
I'm just I'm just look.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
That's what I keep saying. I would have I would
have been fine if it happened overnight. It would have
been like it's a numbers game. But the fact that
it happened when I was like two minutes away when
I turned my back made it all that much worse.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
In fact, that you could catch up the one of
them and knew that there was two of them, and
you didn't do anything to get to the other one,
which was probably the best bet. But a dude like me,
I would have hurt that dude. I wish your neighbor
look like. Good question. That is a good question. What
does your neighbor look like?
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (16:30):
You know that lady from uh something about Mary?
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Which which one sunbathing?
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, sun sunbathing, sun tan and the whole.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Time the leather, the leather, the leather neck. Wait a second,
I mean Lee.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
I think her name was Magda.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah Lee, same one, Yeah, same one.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
You're I mean, that's what the scratched. I'm on the agent.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
People got questions.
Speaker 6 (17:04):
You're leaving the h a for starters. The other question
is like that thought crossed your mind, didn't it? Like
you're leaving You're like, all right, this might be a
little farewell here.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
You know, I always got to keep something on the.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Back of Oh man, actually not bad. She's been on
the back bird too long. Man.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Hey, I'm telling you that she had involvement in this
whole thing.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
I think she was.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
I think she was spurned. I think she was a
little bit annoyed that he was leaving. She looked at
that as like, Hey, if all else fails, just go
have a knock on Apartment six. And instead she decided,
all right, that's fine, I'll just distract him and let
a couple of bumps reach in and steal items out
of his car. I think she was involved. She needs
(17:47):
to be investigated fully, yearly, fully.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Lee, Lee will get inside that He'll figure it out. Lee.
Speaker 5 (17:58):
If she really looked like shorty fropes about Mary though,
man like.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
You counseling, bro oh Man, well you need a little counselor.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Again, if anybody happens to see, uh, a gentleman walking
around southern California, what do you happen to see a
gentleman walking around southern California with missing teeth and uh,
two different pairs of shoes on and a brand new
nomadic bag. Just go ahead call the authorities or tweet
(18:31):
us fleas because Lee would like that back at some point.
Plus all his flasks, my good flasks, man tealing, my
tealing whiskey flask, my ager mice at all my plastic flasks.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Oh man, well yeah, and my passport.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
That's why you almost beat his ass?
Speaker 2 (18:51):

next here on FSR.
Speaker 8 (19:27):

(20:45):
from now on FSR.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
So the New York Jets are back. The season is
right around the corner, except that.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
The Eagles are refusing to trade. Well, the Eagles are
refuting using to trade Uh.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Well, he already got you already got traded.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
I can't. That's how we know night.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
All right, Well Lee has stepped away because he is efforting.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Uh but uh.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Son Reddick officially requested a trade from the Jets on Monday,
and the Jets decided.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
To go ahead and respond.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
That was GM Joe Douglas who said the following quote.
We have informed a Son that he will will not
trade him, he is expected to be here with his teammates,
and that he will continue to be fine for the
c b A if he does not report. Since the
trade discussions back in March, we've been clear, direct and
consistent with our position. Our focus will remain on the
guys we have here as we prepare for the regular season.
(22:04):
This doesn't appear like it's going to go anywhere anytime soon.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Have we ever heard anything like this happened where you
had an immediate trade take place and then he wants
to be traded again and football.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
I mean, I can't quite recall something like this.
Speaker 6 (22:21):
I mean, I guess my first thought goes back to
Antonio Brown going to the Raiders, which you know, there's
a number of things that happened that offseason. There was
the cryo chamber foot thing. There was this whole helmet
issue and all that, and he got traded I think
before even really did he even play a season for them?
Speaker 2 (22:41):
No?
Speaker 6 (22:42):
No, I think he got traded from Pittsburgh to the
Raiders and he got traded to it was in New
England after that.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yes, we're released.
Speaker 6 (22:50):
And then signed by New England. So I mean it
was just it was those bizarre off season that year.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
This is.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
What's not bizarre about this is it it made complete
eat sense. You know, a son Reddick who was a
pass rush that showcased the ability to get that bag
based on how he's played the last three years, and
the Jets had a need after they let I.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Believe was Hugh go over to the Eagles, and.
Speaker 6 (23:19):
So that that kind of swap made sense. The fact
that they for some reason didn't foresee this being an issue,
I don't know if they didn't talk to his agent,
if they didn't talk to a son Reddick. It sounds
like a son Reddick at least for the words and
reports we're seeing from the Jets are saying that he
told them he'd play under this contract when they initially
made the trade. But I always say, like, well, that's
(23:42):
not the person who you're negotiating the contract with. It's
oftentimes the agent, and unless you've gotten confirmation from the agent,
that's going to be the case. Like I would never
buy into what a player is going to say, because
you know, players tend to get emotional about this stuff,
as they should. It's their livelihood.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
They put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
So whatever was said initially upon the trade, the Jets
should have known better that they weren't just going to
bring him in.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
And have him play a year and then and then revisit.
Speaker 6 (24:09):
The contract conversation, especially considering what he's done, because that's
most likely why the Eagles trade him in the first place.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Exactly, Like, here's the twofold issue.
Speaker 6 (24:20):
It's either the Jets and Joe Douglas in particular were
inept and they didn't know what they were trading for,
meaning not just the player but the situation as well,
all right, which is bad, or it's the other end
of it. They did know and they couldn't get it done,
which is equally as bad. Like whatever, however, what you
(24:41):
want to slice this, However, the Jets want to try
to portray this. This is a bad look for the
New York Jets to have an offseason like this, and
by the way, they're coming out saying, well, we don't
want to set the precedent. He hasn't played a snap
for us yet. Okay, but other teams were able to
take care of businesses offseason, like the Eagles, for example,
(25:01):
and they don't have any issues. There's no drama like
that like the Eagles right now, zero drama whatsoever. And
that's where, like I look at this trade, I just
go Howie Roseman once again looks like one of the
best executives in the NFL for how he does business,
and then subsequently how other teams look in comparison to
how they do business and then what happens other places.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
The fact that they haven't gotten it done yet is
one thing. The other aspect of it is that how
why would Joe Douglass make himself sound like a d
bag and in the media like that, like we're going
to just find them, like we're not where he's supposed
to be here, like, well, he's not here, he's not there,
(25:44):
and he clearly I it's one hundred percent. He ended
up gets traded because he wanted to redo his deal
and Philly didn't want to redo the deal. That's clearly
what it is, like, That's clearly what it is. Otherwise,
why do you let Hassan Ready go? He's one of
your he was one of your best players. He was
(26:06):
one of your most productive players. And and and if
you and and it was being discussed. It was being
discussed during the season. I believe in terms of him
getting an extension or something taking place, there were conversations
that actually made it to the public consumption at some point.
With this, with this player, I just don't understand. If
(26:28):
you're a Joe Douglas, why would you take the hard
line approach, Well, we're gonna find him like it just
comes across as I don't know, man, like you trade
it for this guy because you know he feels the
need for your team. If you know he feels the
need for your team, then it doesn't even sound like
they're negotiating it. You need to negotiate and figure out
(26:50):
what you want to do or just grant him with
the witch that he wants.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
Why are you trying to hold him hostage?
Speaker 5 (26:57):
You don't want to, You don't want to pay him,
but you don't want to see him go nowhere else.
Like come on, man's you say he's on the last
year of his contract.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
You're on the last year of your contract. You're not
going to renegotiate his contract.
Speaker 5 (27:12):
You're you're going to focus in on the players that
are here and keep finding him. So why not just
let him get a trade? Why not let him seek
a trade? Like that's that's silly.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
So Connor Hughes of s n Y had a tweet
that he sent out yesterday detailing just sort of the
interaction between the Jets and Asan Reddick, And we talked about.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
This when he did a video like I think a
couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Ago at camp at Jets camp there about the situation.
But the part that I found funny was where he writes,
the Jets will not cater to a player who has
never played it down for them before, so let him go.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Okay, Well what happened with Aaron Rodgers said.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Like, well, like here's the part if and we talked
about this, We talked about this. If they fail this year,
everybody's gone. Joe Douglas, Robert Sala, Aaron Rodgers, and so
the idea that, well, we don't want to set a
precedent to other players that Brady pointed out, well, dude,
you should get as many good players as you can
(28:15):
in the building. And if that means breaking what you
normally would do in order to get it done this year,
just to keep your job, that should be the priority.
Like worry about that stuff down the road. He's a
great player. If this is what it's going to take
you having to give him a contract before he shows
up and it goes against what you do, what does
it matter if you're in making a deep playoff run
(28:35):
and everybody gets an opportunity to come back next year.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
It just feels like they're.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Priorities about the standard and what we normally do here
are offline with the fact that, well, you're not going
to be doing anything there if you guys don't win,
because everybody's gone after this year.
Speaker 6 (28:50):
This just feels like the only thing we don't know
is if you know, Woody Johnson, their owner is handcuffing
Joe Douglas and saying, you know, I don't want to
want you to spend more cash or more money, like
I don't want you to cripple you know, this organization
in the future because the decisions you're making.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Right now to survive, and you oftentimes see that.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
You'll see front offices that trade away a bunch of
picks or fill desperate they make, they make picks they
don't feel good about, or bring in players and spend
a lot of money one offseason to try to build
up the roster and then find themselves in cap hell,
you know, come a year or two down the road.
And so oftentimes you know owners will have the foresight
to kind of put akebash on that or least say
there's limits to it, you know, so we don't necessarily
(29:31):
know what they're saying behind closed doors. I would just say,
like every situation with an athlete is unique. You know,
however they got to the team, whether they're drafted, whether
they're traded for, whether a sign as a free agent,
their their situation, what they've accomplished, what they've done is unique.
This is when when they talk about not wanting to
set a precedent as far as having a guy be
(29:54):
signed to an extent she hasn't played a snap for them. Okay,
he hasn't played a snap for you, but he's played
a lot of snaps in the NFL, and he's proven himself.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
In the NFL.
Speaker 6 (30:05):
And the truth is, you want to trade it for
him if that wasn't the case, so you could say that,
But this is like a separate situation as compared to
DJ Reid or some of the other players who are
on the roster who.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
Won a new deal. It's different. And by the way,
that's not saying that those guys shouldn't get paid too.
Speaker 6 (30:21):
I'm just saying you already, you know, spent capital in
draft or in trading for him, like you already made
this decision, like you made this bet.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Now you've got to lay in it.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
And I know they talked about, you know, guaranteeing his
contract for this year, I think, which is roughly a
little more north of fourteen million something like that. But
that's grossly underpaying him for what a top edge rusher
gets paid. And that's literally what he's done the past
few years. Has put himself in that conversation. He's a
double DIGITSAC guy the last three years. I just it
(30:53):
doesn't make any sense. I agree, let him grant him,
to grant him the right to get a trade. Man
like just grant him the right to get a trade.
Do exactly what the forty nine ers have done. Let
him see if he can get a trade, and then
the market is going to speak.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
If he can't get a trade, then it's like, look,
we let you go out and seek a trade, but
we're not redoing your contract right now. So come in
and play, or don't come in and play. We let
you seek a trade, Now you're gonna come play or nine?
Which is strange because are you saying you only want
Hassan Reddick for one year like you could say, well
(31:33):
he hasn't played for us, Like you're saying you're okay
with having Hassan Redick for one year, because now you've
basically you've damaged a relationship beyond repair.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
So why even draw a hard line that way?
Speaker 5 (31:48):
Why not endear yourself to the player. He is a
productive player. This isn't like you said, This isn't like
a normal situation. You're getting an elite pass rusher. That's
what he brings to the table, and he's shown on
it because his track record has proven it. I just
don't I don't understand why they would take such a
hard line stance on not paying the man. It doesn't
(32:12):
and if you not gonna pay them, then at least
handle this scenario much differently than what you're doing. Yeah,
I mean, it just doesn't sound like it's being handled correctly,
like LaVar.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Why wouldn't Joe Douglas just you know, like talk to
Hassan Reddick directly, you know, communicate with him a different way,
you know. I mean, it's this isn't rapidly approaching.
Speaker 5 (32:32):
It's so interesting that you would say that, because maybe
if they were thinking ahead and being proactive, they would
have sent some rapid radios to Hassan Reddick and his
agent and hit them up.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
You know, we're big fans of them. We use them
on our show.
Speaker 5 (32:45):
You know, it's the official communication device of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
Rappid radios are instant.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
Push the talk walkie talkie, So that offering on that
LTE coverage and no subscription and monthly fee, that maybe
they save enough money to pay on a little bit
more money.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
I don't know. Business owners, are you listening?
Speaker 5 (33:04):
You can keep in touch with your your employees, your
staff like Hassan you know what I mean at one time,
and it's a great alternative to mobile phones for your
kids for a limited time.

Speaker 7 (34:43):
Lap goodod morning, everybody, Good morning Jonas, Good morning Brady,
Good morning LeVar guys. In case you missed the l
Thank you, LeVar guys. In case you missed this. Uh hey, Brady.
Packer's head coach Matt Lafleur is tired to get and
asked the same question over and over again. Yesterday, he
was asked once again who what he's planning to do
(35:06):
with his plethora of talented wide receivers and who stands
out as number one.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Take a listen to the question and answer.
Speaker 9 (35:14):
Par We kept asking you about do you need a
number one receiver and stuff like that in the off season.
You guys have so much talent in that, especially in
the top four, but even beyond that, where does Wis
fit into that?
Speaker 5 (35:27):
Picture.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
You know those are they?
Speaker 10 (35:29):
I get like I want to vombit. Every time I
hear number one receiver. To be honest with you, it
drives me crazy. That's something that you guys talk about.
I feel like we got a bunch of them. So
I think the beauty of them is they're all capable
of doing many things, which gives us a lot of
versatility from an offensive perspective in terms of how we
use these guys and deploy their talents.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
I mean, Lee, you're a packer guy. Who's their number
one wide receiver?
Speaker 3 (35:57):
Rarely he's a packer guy.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Yeah, we got a plethora are.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
Wow, that guy's getting in there.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
No, it is great because it's day to day. It's different.
Speaker 7 (36:09):
So Jayden Reid, I think, is what a lot of
insiders believe is going to be really the number one.
But right now, if you look at it, Romeo Dobbs
is kind of taking the number one reps. Yeah, Christian
Watson always has a is always banged up, so no,
but yeah, Dantavian Wicks sometimes comes out and has one
hundred yard game.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Say with Bo Melton, who's the fifth guy?
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Yeahreat I will put it this way.
Speaker 6 (36:29):
I think, Well, floor hates answering the question because if
we're being honest, as you just listen to a Packers
fan lead to Lap, they don't have a number one
that has emerged. I mean Jaden, Reid, Romeo Dobbs. They
all can do a variety of things. Watson was drafted
in like to me, looks to be the guy who
could be a number one wide receiver for them because
(36:51):
of his speed and that sort of explosive playmaking ability.
But they just they don't have that guy and look
versatility and having three, four or five guys who can
do a bunch of things, that's great, But the reality
is when you have a singular guy that forces the
defense and LeVar to have to think about him nowhere,
(37:12):
he's lined up change what they do because of what
he can do. That makes it harder on the defense.
And that's obviously something that the Packers. They haven't really
had that guy immerged yet.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Did you put that in your green Bay pipe and
smoke it?
Speaker 3 (37:26):
Lee, really think about that or pack it into your car?
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Damn And the body's not even cold, all right? Can Wechember?
When they take we got more to go?
Speaker 7 (37:40):
What else you guys? We talked about it yesterday. Obviously
the embarrassment that was break dancing in the Paris Olympics.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
Embrassing canceled the sport, haven't they Well, they're not bringing
it back, which one yes.
Speaker 7 (37:53):
The way it works is every host city gets to
pick a number of sports that they bring. Obviously Paris
that we had surfing, climbing, skateboarding, and breakdancing. Well, LA,
of course is not gonna be bring back break dancing.
They're gonna have five different ones of course, flag football,
We've talked about, squash. They're also gonna bring back cricket,
which hasn't been around since the Night since nineteen hundred
(38:14):
as well, and then baseball and softball, so those are
gonna be the sports that LA brings.
Speaker 5 (38:18):
Cricket we don't even play cricket over here. Well the
problem is we actually we do play cricket. The US
had a big win over I think was it Pakistan
or side of hiber recently.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Yeah, it was one of the biggest upsets.
Speaker 6 (38:32):
The interesting thing about cricket though, is anybod who knows
the game, it could.
Speaker 5 (38:34):
Go on for days, like people play polo. I mean,
it's like we don't play cricket, like it's.
Speaker 6 (38:41):
Actually kind of fun sport to watch, although it goes
on for days. But my general point is the opening
ceremonies could start and like a cricket game could literally
go the length of the Olympics.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
Like that's not outside the realm of possibility.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
LaVar, you're not a fan of the New Deli Daredevils,
the Indian Premiere League cricket team.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
That's kind of messed up. Way they played cricket in
the Islands, Like, I get it, I just not. I'm
not into porthos. No, no, not interesting, man, Sorry, messed up.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
I'm sorry, Pauls listening and breaking should have been brought back.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
I mean they broke, they broke in l A
