Speaker 4 (01:15):
Who's fired up for that?
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Gee?
Speaker 4 (01:17):
Hell yeah, We'll get some LeVar Allen's while I'm watching that.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
You go, there you go.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Eagles Patriots.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
Started early.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
You know, Hey, I might you kind of have to
might not hear from me tomorrow. Might have to uh,
you know, set that one out. Oh yeah, I mean
it might. I might just go down as this preseason football, baby,
you know what I mean, that's just the excuse. I mean,
why has got to be an excuse?
Speaker 3 (01:46):
And you know, wait to the real stuff coming up
in a couple of weeks, not that far away.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
That's when it's real, you know what I mean, That
one gets real. But that happens on Sundays. You know,
it's a little bit better. It did get real. Although
Week one this year great segue. Week one this year.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Yeah, Thursday night football Friday from Brazil, our college football
on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
I think it's still a little late late to go
to the Brazil game.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Okay, we've got Saturday college football and then you've got
the NFL on Sunday. You've got the NFL on Monday.
We are locked and loaded. I feel like you was
going to be in Morgantown. I might have to meet
up with him.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
Not for a couple of weeks, but yes.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Yeah, so that's why I hear due to whispering tea
leaves and great vine. Oh yeah, yeah, okay, I could
dig it. For which game? I said, Morgantown player?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I know West Virginia who they playing themselves?
Speaker 4 (02:38):
Yeah, they're playing with the football? Are they playing Ben State?
They are? Okay, all right, I don't think I'm going
to attend that one. Yeah, we didn't invite you. I said,
there has to be an invite. Didn't that what you say?
I was proactive, okay, and I let you know ahead
of time. My services that's not true will be tied
(02:58):
up at that point. Not true, so which I do
still find very interesting that you would take an entire
week off of work, but beyond other shows within the network,
I thought that was pretty interesting. You know, nothing wrong.
I'm glad that Q got the reps that driving the
show though, you know what I mean. And we had
petrosin for the last hour to run the show. I mean,
(03:18):
just with such an amazing show while you were doing
other shows, you know, not ours.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Well, look, I mean, you know you got stuff going on.
You know, gotta gotta take care of business. Man.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
I know you said you weren't going to change, but man,
I tell you what, you got that new contract. You
ain't been the same ever since. What new contracted? What
are you talking about? Everything then changed?
Speaker 5 (03:39):
Man?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
You got C D.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
Lamb.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
He's seeking to get his his his deal, Brandon. I
you you know who got their value? Jonas knocks, I
mean right here on the rundown hour three strikes strikes,
blockbuster deal at Fox Sports radios. Right.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Try to point out a couple of things about the
rundown one yet to this morning, which I'm not sure
why we got to Why was that?
Speaker 6 (04:04):
Lee just I'm not sure did I send it out twice?
Speaker 5 (04:08):
I feel like I got two from you. And another
thing is I want to say thank you to lead
a lap.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Lead a lap has now converted all the time to
Eastern state.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yeah, he has. I've noticed.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
It's very much appreciated.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I appreciate you doing that for all of the people
who are actually awake on the East coast.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Lee haven't you always done He's always done it. It's
just recently. It's probably because Q was running the shows
last week while you were out and doing other shows,
and to spite you, he's kept them on the East
Coast time.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
That's fine with me. Listen, I think lead is a
great job. I have no complaints about the job I
do too.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, thanks guys.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
I think I try my best. Yeah, so some days
better than other thing. It's pretty solid. By the way,
you want to know how you know the NFL is
right around the corner. How Colin Kaepernick once back in No,
I believe it or not?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Is it a new shoe, a new movie? Like you
see this is the stuff that's not on the rundown.
And then Jonas just wants to get it in.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
What do you?
Speaker 4 (05:08):
What do you?
Speaker 3 (05:09):
I'm just letting people know here because we do have
the Matthew Stafford hamstring issue which popped up yesterday. By
the way, do you see the video also of some
guy from the Cowboys who shoved a RAM staffer on
the ground, Like some guy was doing a pass rush
drill and like a RAM staff member was running by
and he shoved him on the ground and then got
kicked out of practice through up middle fingers to the
(05:30):
rams as he got kicked out of practice. But yeah,
so you know Colin Kaepernick, I guess him and Jim
Harbaugh I've spoken about, you know, maybe potentially being on
the coaching staff.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Harbor said, Okay, at least there's been a shift. Yeah,
at least there's been a shift. At least it's not
about getting on the field and that he's prepared and
wants to do a workout and all that stuff. So
this is more this is more digestible.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Here's another thing I want to ask you guys, and
you tell me based on the JJ McCarthy injury that
went down from Minnesota stop, Well no, I'm just I
just want to throw this out to you. Do you
think that the Bears are making a mistake not having
more of a veteran backup cornerback just in case something
(06:17):
happens like what has happened last year around the league.
They've got it like, more veteran like Kaepernick, more veteran
in the side. Well, sure, like you set it up
with talking about.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
All right, Ryan Tannehill pivoted from from Caepernick.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Well, just because Ryan Tannehill is on the open market
and they're going with Tyson Bagent. And I like Tyson Bagent,
but he's only got a couple of handful of starts
in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Do you think that.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Maybe they're looking at this and just they're so all
in on Caleb Williams not thinking about the backup role
that if something happens, they do have a roster that
can compete, Like why not address it with more of
a veteran backup there?
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Attention?
Speaker 1 (07:00):
I mean one, I can't answer that question. I feel
like they maybe feel like they have enough in uh
Tyson Bigent, maybe not based on what he did. I
mean I think ideally that's Isn't that what you'd like
to have a young guy that you feel like can
come in and do the job even if Caleb can't. Uh,
I mean, Brett Rippens come in. He's got some he's
got some experience in the league, so it's not like
he's considered a veteran, maybe not to the lengths of
(07:23):
Ryan Tannehill.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
But I think they feel good with what they got,
So what's.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
The point of going and spending money on a veteran
like Tannehill who's probably got a price that's gonna be
more than they're willing to pay. Mike Bett is he
probably wants to be paid more than both Beijing and
Ripping combined are.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Making, and so he's just gonnay, I want more than Caleb.
I mean, he's on his rookie contract. You just never know.
I think that that that falls in par with and
in line with what it is that I'm thinking is
that you have a young, talented team. You don't really
know what the trajectory of the team is, but it's
(08:02):
high based upon the excitement surrounding Caleb Williams. While you
may need to be prepared for if something were to
happen to Caleb Williams injury wise, I don't think that
they foresee that as being something that is a major
focal point. I don't think there's anything that would say
(08:25):
this is something that we have to be tremendously aware
of and prepared for with Caleb Williams. So with that
being said, a backup is like in this instance, I
would say, a backup is just a backup, and you're
just hoping that a backup is you know, either relieving
time if they get big leads, or somebody that can
(08:47):
maybe steal you a couple of weeks if if you
have an injury taking place, they have.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
One point nine million wrapped up into both Bagent and
Brett Ribbon. And I think the the thought would be,
if Tannehill has been signed by now, he'll still be
available in the season if something happens, you need to.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Bring in a veteran guy.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
So if when that time comes, then you go knocking
on that door. But if it it's not him, there's
guys like Brian Hoyer, There's Blaine Gabbert, you know Age
mc karen.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
You can go on down the list of guys.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
There's a bunch of other veteran guys you could look
at to bring in if that's the case.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
So what's at the end of the day, If you're
listening to those types of names and you're entertaining that
you might as well go with the young guy that
you already have, right, I mean, if we're being honest.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
And Ryan Tannehill's made almost two hundred million dollars in
his career, Jesus, Yeah, just sit it out, Just wait,
let everybody else figure it out.
Speaker 7 (09:46):
Wait.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Good for him, Okay, it's a hell of a run
for a guy who was a wide receiver in college.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
Not bad, all right.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
So that being said, the other conversation that is being had,
there were some new details that this is a report
from LaRence Hill. When it comes to the cdee Lamb situation,
we'll get more in that with Albert Brier coming up
shortly on the show.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
But according to.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the Cowboys
still aren't close on a deal with cd Lamb, but
they're optimistic they will get it done. Hill says that
Lamb wants justin Jefferson money, which is the thirty five
million dollar a year mark annually, but the Cowboys have
yet to get to the annual figure. They've yet to
get to the thirty three million dollar mark a year.
(10:28):
So that's kind of where it stands. But I still
would find it hard to believe that this bleeds into
the season like that they're going to get something done and.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
They'll figure this out.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Jamar Chase, who knows, Brandon Ayuk, who the hell knows
Ceedee Lamb feels like the one I'm most confident in
that they're gonna get it.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Let me ask you guys this, if if the contract
does not get done again. We should be clear. He
is under contract, he agreed to a deal, and that
deal still has time left on the deal. Whether you
agree with him out playing it, whatever side of it
(11:09):
you fall on, there's a deal that's in place, there's
a deal that's signed. There's a legal document that says
I have committed to this amount of time to render
this service to this organization. Whether you like it or not.
If a deal does not get done, where does the blame?
Where does the anger? Where is that directed? Is it
(11:32):
more towards C. D Lamb or is it more towards
Jerry Jones?
Speaker 5 (11:39):
I mean, I mean, I don't think it's CD Lamb.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
You think he gets out of it like he gets
he's free and clear of any type of you should
be here, you should be playing.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
I think for the most part, Dallas Cowboys fans and look,
maybe I'm wrong, Maybe people on Twitter will chime in
or X will chime.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
In until otherwise.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
But because there's Micah, there's CD, there's Dak Prescott. Because
the cash outlays for the Cowboys haven't been a lot
in recent years. Because of that, I think there's an
element of that, like Jerry's not doing what he should
be doing. It's almost like he's waiting till after the fact.
Instead of being proactive, he's reactive, and that hasn't worked
(12:21):
out well over the past thirty years, at least not
winning Super Bowls. And you look at a team like
the Eagles, for example, and I know I use them
oftentimes as an example for things, but Howie Roseman has
done a tremendous job building up that roster and then
also keeping guys happy, like he's allowed guys to be
able to sign extensions, maybe even before it gets to
(12:42):
one a point where they could be disgrunbled with their contract,
which when they have the money, you're having success.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
That's one way of doing it.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
So I think oftentimes the finger starts to get pointed
at Jerry Jones because he is so actively involved.
Speaker 5 (12:57):
There's not as many owners that.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Do the radio hits and everything else like he does.
That plays such an intricate role in the operations of
the franchise.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
By the way, congratulations first franchise to surpass the ten
billion dollar mark in valuation according to Sportico.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
So whatever they're doing, they're doing a correct on doing it.
You gotta sell something Man super in fact. You know what.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Furthermore, who needs conference championship games appearances in the last
thirty years?
Speaker 4 (13:27):
You gotta sell something. You're going ten billion strong, You've
sold America's team. Good for him, gotta sail something.
Speaker 3 (13:35):

the MMQB. You can get them on x at Alberbreer
AB Good morn. Where are you right now in your
training camp tour?
Speaker 7 (15:04):
I'm that home.
Speaker 8 (15:05):
I was with Baltimore yesterday and I'll see my twentieth
and twenty first teams today. I'll I'm going to visit
the Eagles in the Patriots.
Speaker 9 (15:15):
They play to night.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
All right, nice? Nice, Hey, Albert, who's looked the best
to you so far?
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Like?
Speaker 1 (15:20):
What team have you gone to and said that team
looks like they're gonna win a Super Bowl?
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Well?
Speaker 8 (15:25):
I saw San Francisco before all the injuries, and they're
i mean just loaded everywhere, you know, And that was
even without iuk out there and you know, I think
they think that that Brock Party's got another level in him.
I had a great conversation with Brock about how, yeah,
he's sort of stereotyped, I guess, and how he sees.
Speaker 9 (15:46):
There being like another level and his game.
Speaker 8 (15:48):
Out there for him, and what is.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
That level though, Like, like if we're being honest with ourselves,
like he's never gonna have the strongest arm, He's not
gonna be the most athletical.
Speaker 9 (16:00):
This was what was weird about it.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
He said to me, he goes, I know On says
that I'm a game manager. He's like, but I think
that that's the part of my game where I need
the most improvement. And you know, he said it showed
up in their inconsistencies offensively. He said that, like, you know,
he has to learn to kind of take a profit,
you know in certain situations, you know, when it's second
(16:23):
and eleven, take the six yard check down, you know,
And he said that he felt like it was his
fault for not managing situations properly last year in spots
where you know, they would hit little ruts as an offense.
So he's really I don't know, I don't know how
much you've you know, interacted with him, But he's a
really reflective guy. He's very I mean, he's just like
(16:46):
not like he doesn't take anything personally, you know, like
most guys would fallow in the draft like that take
it super personal and everything else, especially guys have had success,
and he doesn't.
Speaker 9 (16:55):
You know, he like saw that.
Speaker 8 (16:57):
Yeah, Like there's a lot of things I had to
improve on. I screwed up some things when I was
in college that I could have done better. And you
know that's why I think, like I think he's pick
sustained success to the quarterback.
Speaker 9 (17:08):
Now is he going to be on the Mahomes Alan Burrow.
Speaker 7 (17:11):
Level That's another question.
Speaker 8 (17:13):
But like you know, I I just I've always been
really impressed when I've had the chance to sit down
and talk with him because he just thinks a little
differently than a lot of other guys.
Speaker 7 (17:21):
You know.
Speaker 8 (17:22):
So San Francisco is really good. You know, I would
say there's third the obvious when it's like Cincinnati, if
everybody's on the field is going to be really good.
I think Joe has really started to turn a corner
the last couple of weeks with the.
Speaker 9 (17:34):
Risks, which is great news.
Speaker 7 (17:37):
You know, the one that I.
Speaker 8 (17:39):
Think people might not be paying a ton of attention to.
Detroit's going to be really good. The one that I
think people might not be paying enough attention to that
really has a chance to build on last year's success
is Green Bay. You know, they they've got a lot
of and it's not just Jordan Love. They've got like
a handful of young players who are sort of growing
up together on offense and what Jeff Hafley is doing
(18:01):
with their defense where they're gonna turn some guys loose
a little more like Rashaun Gary and and Devonte Wyatt
and you know, even Kenny Clark like and play a
little bit more aggressive with their front.
Speaker 7 (18:15):
You know.
Speaker 9 (18:15):
I just look at Green Bay as this team.
Speaker 8 (18:17):
That, like, they finished strong last year, and I think
a lot of the players that they were relying on
are ascending still, right Like, So I'm not saying they're gonna,
you know, beat Detroit out in the North, but I think,
like what we saw at the end of last year,
there's like a there's a foundation of something very real there,
you know. And if you want a surprise team in
(18:37):
the AFC, I mean, maybe the Colts would be the
surprise team in the AFC like the Colts. Again, I'm
not saying they're gonna overtake the Texans in the AFC South,
but I think Shane Stikeen's I think Shane Stikin did
a phenomenal job last year, and if they can keep
Anthony Richardson healthy, they could really have something.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
Aby. You mentioned the NFC North quite a bit in
your response. I'm I'm curious with the injury and and
the ending of the season of effectively of JJ McCarthy.
The storyline went from, you know, ken JJ McCarthy advance
enough to be able to beat out Sam Donald too.
(19:15):
Now it's Sam Donald's job to lead this team. Have
you gotten Have you gotten any information on how the
team is approaching this that that there that their confidence
and Sam Donald have a major a major piece or play.
And as to why they're giving uh JJ McCarthy the
(19:37):
entire year to to heal from a moniscous injury, well.
Speaker 8 (19:43):
I think it so well, but I think it starts
with with Kevin O'Connell and his stat's ability. I'm in
confidence in their own ability to develop and maximize quarterbacks
right like, so, I think that that's that's where it begins.
You know, I think Sam Donalds might not wind up
being all that different from Baker Mayfield or Gino.
Speaker 9 (20:04):
Smiths, where you know, he came into the league.
Speaker 8 (20:07):
In a bad situation, probably needed to sit. Was pretty
raw and like kiss was not in a great environment
early on, and you know, now afforded some time a
chance to sit if you look like there are little
blips and you guys can go back and look at
this at the end of the season two years ago
against Carolina, I think the fourth quarter like this is
(20:30):
the one that stuck after me, the fourth quarter of
that blowout loss the Niners had last year to the
Ravens on Christmas Night. You know, Sam, to me, at least,
Sam looked like a different player. He looks like he's
playing faster and more decisive within the context of Kyle
Shanahan's offense.
Speaker 9 (20:46):
Right, So, you know, Kevin.
Speaker 8 (20:48):
And his staff and you know, the front office saw
I think in Sam like there's something there and there's
something that like that that that he can really build
on there in a foundation look for what we think
can be a successful quarterback. And really like what he's
given them is that with the flexibility to sit JJ
if they felt like that was always best for JJ.
(21:11):
So you know, their quarterback plan has been really detailed
all along, and you know, I know, you know, Kevin's
plan has been for to make JJ hit certain benchmarks before.
Speaker 9 (21:21):
He was going to be out there in the field.
But you know, one of the reasons they paid.
Speaker 8 (21:26):
Ten million dollars for Sam Donald is because they knew
they weren't all like who had going to draft a quarterback,
and having Sam Donald on hand would give them the
flexibility to sit back quarterback. So I don't think this
shakes up their plan very much. And I do I
do trust that that Kevin's going to be able to
get the most out of Sam Donald. I think Sam
(21:48):
Donald's going to have a pretty good year.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Get him on ex at. Albert Breers, senior NFL reporter,
lead content strategist for the MMQB, joining us here this
morning on Fox Sports Radio, AB. What the hell is
going to happen with this? This is Son Reddick situation
with the Jets. How's this going to play out?
Speaker 8 (22:05):
Truly unpredictable, because I mean.
Speaker 9 (22:07):
This is a guy who has made some money, so
he has.
Speaker 8 (22:10):
Some financial flexibility to keep going with his holdout, and
yet like for a guy who's right thirty years old,
like has not he hasn't, you know, he hasn't. He
hasn't scored that huge payday that And not to say
he hasn't made good money like I said he has.
Speaker 9 (22:28):
But he hasn't scored that monster payday that like some
of the other guys that his position have, you know.
And so like I think for him, it's you know,
like looking to get.
Speaker 8 (22:41):
The most out of what he's got left as a
football player. And I you know, I think that makes
this unpredictable because he has been clearly very focused on
trying to get the most he can financially you know here,
And I think, like, you know, in a way, it
was sort of of savvy the way he handled it
(23:01):
and saying like, yeah, I trust that you guys are
gonna be able to get something.
Speaker 9 (23:05):
Done, and knowing like they gave up a third.
Speaker 8 (23:08):
Round pick for him, so he was going to have
the leverage if he didn't do a deal before the
deal before the trade was completed. So look like, you know,
I think ownership's involved in this one. And you know,
I think to some degree that that that puts Joe
Douglas in his staff in a weird spot. You know,
(23:29):
they let Bryce Huff go, and Bryce Huff I think
is going to have a big year in Philadelphia.
Speaker 9 (23:34):
He went at seventeen million.
Speaker 8 (23:35):
Dollars per year the Eagles Hassan Redicks making fourteen.
Speaker 9 (23:40):
And I think the other element here is.
Speaker 8 (23:42):
The pass rusher market is a little bit out of whack, right, Like,
so Nick Bosa makes thirty four million a year, Neil
Hunter makes twenty nine million a year, Ason Redicks making fourteen. Now,
I'm not saying that Reddick is good a player or
as complete a player as both are. Hunter, but if
you're a son Reddick, I mean, you certainly think you're
(24:02):
better than half half of what those guys are, and
you're making half of what those guys are. So you know,
it'll be interesting to see as we had closer through
to the season and this becomes Okay, we've given up
a third round pick for him, We're trying to win
a Super Bowl right now, Let's see what we can
get done. I think, like sort of that's where it
(24:24):
turns into a Battle of Wales. But I guess would
be like things would probably heat up after the final
preseason game, and as he get closer to the.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Cutdown Albert, we got the news obviously the Matthew Judeon
trade to Atlanta, but you know, he wasn't happy not
getting you know, his contract restructured there. I mean, do
you think that we're gonna we're gonna hear something different,
you know, in the next week or so about his
contract being restructed in Atlanta?
Speaker 7 (24:47):
Now, yeah, I.
Speaker 8 (24:50):
Think that's possible, Brady, and I think his situation similar
where they did they redid is his field last year, right,
And what they effectively did was they moved money from
twenty twenty four to twenty twenty three, knowing that when
they got to twenty twenty four that was going to
be a problem, you know. And teams will do this
sometimes where you move money forward and you make the
(25:11):
back end number smaller, knowing like that player is probably
not going to play for that back end number.
Speaker 7 (25:16):
Now, can Atlanta.
Speaker 8 (25:18):
Convince him to come in and play on that number?
Maybe My guess would be they give him some sort
of sweetener, maybe through incentives.
Speaker 7 (25:25):
But this is also a result of.
Speaker 8 (25:29):
You know, the pass rusher market, you know, and the
gaps and what guys are making on the pass rusher market.
Like you know, Matthew Judell isn't going to give the Falcons.
It shouldn't give the Falcons credit for the money that
the Patriots paid him over the last few years. So
he certainly could look at this and say, you're paying
me a small percentage of what Nick Bosa makes, of
(25:51):
what the Neil Hunter makes. I'm making less than half
of what Hassan Reddick is making, and he's holding out,
so you got to do something to sweeten the deal
for me a little bit. And another one he turns
thirty two today, he's another one where you know, the
sands in the hour glass are are are are not
where they were, you know, three or.
Speaker 7 (26:08):
Four years ago, So.
Speaker 8 (26:11):
You know, it's it's certainly something you see the sort
of desperation that the Falcons have in their pass rush
and moving a third round pick for a thirty two
year old pass rusher in a contract you're coming off
an injury. And I think part of this is, you know,
the price they paid for taking Tennis States overall instead
of somebody like Dallas Turner or Byron Murphy, you know,
(26:33):
or Latu Latu, like they could have taken one of
those guys dates overall, instead they hear your quarterbacks. So
now they're going to flip a.
Speaker 9 (26:39):
Three to go get a pass rusher.
Speaker 8 (26:42):
So you see how badly badly they needed it, needed that,
and it's reflected in the return here. So certainly, if
Judon wants to push the issue, he does have leverage
to do that.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
What what or how do you think or or are
you hearing in terms of what the Browns are doing
how they're handling the situation with Mike Hall Junior? Is
this a bad decision on Cleveland's part to have had
Mike Mike Hall Junior still there and not yeah, okay,
(27:17):
go ahead, you got it? Got Yeah? No?
Speaker 8 (27:19):
I mean, like, look like I Cleveland has taken a
lot of risks over the last few years, right, Like
they've rolled the dice on a lot of guys, you know,
and I obviously.
Speaker 7 (27:28):
There's a big one.
Speaker 9 (27:29):
We all know what the big one was, right, But.
Speaker 8 (27:31):
They've they've taken they've taken calculated risks like this, and
I think part of it's been because they didn't have
first round picks for a few years. So how do
you make up for that? Like you make up for
it by trying and going and getting first round talents
outside of the first round.
Speaker 9 (27:45):
And they do that a lot of times. You have
to take risks, whether.
Speaker 8 (27:47):
They're off field, injury, whatever it is. Right Like, so
this was them, you know, taking a swing for the
fence with a guy who's the first round talent.
Speaker 7 (27:55):
Who I mean, Brady, you've been through.
Speaker 8 (27:58):
Ohio State enough, you know over the last couple of
years to know the deal with Mike Hall pretty well.
I'm sure, like, like, this was a guy where like
the Ohio State coaches didn't know what they would get
on a day to day basis, and everyone in the
league knew like that there were.
Speaker 7 (28:12):
Some issues with him.
Speaker 9 (28:13):
Now did anybody see this coming?
Speaker 7 (28:14):
Probably not, But there were.
Speaker 8 (28:17):
Definitely off field flags on him, which is why a
first round talent falls into the second round. So to
look at it and say, well, you know, that's unfortunate
for the Browns. No, the Browns knew what they were
were what they were doing when they took them.
Speaker 7 (28:31):
You know, this is a guy who was off some
team's boards.
Speaker 8 (28:35):
And so I mean, I yeah, it's you know, especially
with something like this, I mean, this is this is
something where I think if you're the team, like I
think he almost Unless you know sign it is possible,
unless you know you have some sort of piece of
valuable information that it's not going to turn out the
way it looks on the surface, then I think it's
(28:58):
sort of incumbent on you to take the kid, I'm
into the spotlight, take them off the field, take the
story away from the team so you can let the
rest of.
Speaker 7 (29:07):
The team prepare for the year. But I mean the Browns,
I mean the Browns.
Speaker 8 (29:12):
Aren't you know? He can't absolve the Browns here. I mean,
like I said, like the offfield risk was there and
beyond just that, guys, and.
Speaker 9 (29:19):
You guys know this too.
Speaker 7 (29:20):
Like a lot of times when you're taking a kid
who is local, who is right near like where he
grew up and the people who grew up around it,
a lot of times I can exacerbate, exacerbate the problem,
you know, and certainly that that seems like that's part
of the case here too.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Aybe, before I let you go, we got about thirty seconds,
But curious Ceedee Lamb, Jamar Chase Brandon Ayuk, who's the
first to get done?
Speaker 8 (29:49):
Uh? I would say I would have said Lamb last week,
I might say Ayuk. Now, it just feels like the
Niners are trying to force a conclusion, whether it's a
trade or assigning. So you know, we've talked about how
the Niners have sort of tried to play forty jess
here might work out.
Speaker 9 (30:05):
For them, they get them signed long term.
Speaker 7 (30:08):
I think Lamb gets.
Speaker 8 (30:09):
Done before the season starts, but maybe maybe next week,
the week after, and then I think a Chase gets
a deal done and it happens.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
Right before the opener.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
There he is, Get.
Speaker 9 (30:19):
Him half, not a one. That's an half, not a one.
Speaker 3 (30:23):

Literally damn figuratively.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
It just like there just became so many like rumors
that came out like, well, you know, he may have
murdered more people.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
He might have been gay. He might It's like what
did we like?
Speaker 5 (34:47):
What?
Speaker 4 (34:48):
But why do we still care? Like the chapter's over,
it's been the page has been turned.
Speaker 5 (34:53):
I mean, it is a pretty crazy story.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
Yeah, and we've heard it in a documentary, whether how
much was left out or how much was in it.
I mean, I feel like we've heard it. What documentary
am I missing? There was something they did on him,
so there's it's.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
Actually still there's been a couple Yeah, there's actually.
Speaker 5 (35:13):
Still in stuff. But I didn't think there was something

the twenty twenty six World Cup.
Speaker 4 (35:48):
He, of course, was uh been out of work since
leaving Chelsea. What is I suppose are we supposed to
say whether we're in or out on that? Yeah, you know,
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (35:57):

Speaker 5 (37:04):
Yeah? Well yeah, what usually.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
When that when he played there, they were the Indians
what they were? Can you say that? Where'd you play?
When he went, No, I'm not going there with you. Yeah,
it makes no sense to me watching the Ryskins.
Speaker 5 (37:22):
Damn
