I thought, you know, Johnny Wilson, who's gigantic. Here's a
big body target kid out of Florida State. I thought
he would be a guy that might make the roster.

Smith, who was extremely productive during his time at Texas
and m I really liked him coming out of college.

He was a fifth round pick.

And then you've got guys like Paris campbellho was a
veteran John Ross who was trying to make a comeback.
Really interesting story, but remember he used to have the
fastest forty yard dash time. And if you think about it,
like those four guys, amongst probably three others that are
on the roster, they're fighting for two spots. Like there's
no game. Garantee passed five roster spots at the active

roster for the wide receiver position because when you trade
for Dotson like that, like he's on it, and obviously
you have Demante Smith and aj Brown. So this is
the time of year where you see something like that happen.
At the end of preseason, you go ooh, it's not
so much that Washington didn't even like what they saw
in Dots and maybe they didn't, you know, may maybe

they said, he's probably not gonna make our roster.

It's not gonna be a big part of the plan.

But Philly's looking at what they have and they're saying
the same thing about their guys and so like when
they're bringing a Dots and they're like, no, no, no, we've
played against this guy.

So once again, I feel like Howie roseman Man puts
together a roster unlike any other.

could look at Jalen Hurts and they had to have
huge expectations because who else has this like bounty of
riches to throw to head off to to protect him
and then a defense that should be improved, like it's

Yeah, Philly is uh you want to talk about going
all in? I mean they have a basically an all
star right roster, right, I mean that could that could
be a team that's full of Pro bowlers like full
of them. And and that's man, I'll tell you what

for for anyone to think that it was a runaway
for Dallas to win the NFC East this year this season,
which I think Dallas will be good, they will be formidable,
and probably I don't I don't know what the odds
makers say, but they're probably the ones that were the
odds on favor to win the East. I think I

think Philly's going to be a problem, man, I mean,
how are they not? If Jalen hurts his health and
I'm not sure how how unhealthy he was last season.
I think that played a major part and why he
wasn't as effective as he could have.

But if he can be, you know, maintain his health
this year, Philly is going to be I mean, they
might be right back in it and right back in
the super Bowl. It could be another rematch of I

I thought, you know, Johnny Wilson, who's gigantic. Here's a
big body target kid out of Florida State. I thought
he would be a guy that might make the roster.

Smith, who was extremely productive during his time at Texas
and m I really liked him coming out of college.

He was a fifth round pick.

And then you've got guys like Paris campbellho was a
veteran John Ross who was trying to make a comeback.
Really interesting story, but remember he used to have the
fastest forty yard dash time. And if you think about it,
like those four guys, amongst probably three others that are
on the roster, they're fighting for two spots. Like there's
no game. Garantee passed five roster spots at the active

roster for the wide receiver position because when you trade
for Dotson like that, like he's on it, and obviously
you have Demante Smith and aj Brown. So this is
the time of year where you see something like that happen.
At the end of preseason, you go ooh, it's not
so much that Washington didn't even like what they saw
in Dots and maybe they didn't, you know, may maybe

they said, he's probably not gonna make our roster.

It's not gonna be a big part of the plan.

But Philly's looking at what they have and they're saying
the same thing about their guys and so like when
they're bringing a Dots and they're like, no, no, no, we've
played against this guy.

So once again, I feel like Howie roseman Man puts
together a roster unlike any other.

And I can kind of understand why.

could look at Jalen Hurts and they had to have
huge expectations because who else has this like bounty of
riches to throw to head off to to protect him
and then a defense that should be improved, like it's
it's just rare to find.

That consistently NFL. But he's had that since been the starter.

Yeah, Philly is uh you want to talk about going
all in? I mean they have a basically an all
star right roster, right, I mean that could that could
be a team that's full of Pro bowlers like full
of them. And and that's man, I'll tell you what

for for anyone to think that it was a runaway
for Dallas to win the NFC East this year this season,
which I think Dallas will be good, they will be formidable,
and probably I don't I don't know what the odds
makers say, but they're probably the ones that were the
odds on favor to win the East. I think I

think Philly's going to be a problem, man, I mean,
how are they not? If Jalen hurts his health and
I'm not sure how how unhealthy he was last season.
I think that played a major part and why he
wasn't as effective as he could have.

But if he can be, you know, maintain his health
this year, Philly is going to be I mean, they
might be right back in it and right back in
the super Bowl. It could be another rematch of I

I mean, I thought that first drive was about as
efficient and I don't know, snappy is the right word,

So I loved what I saw from him. He looked comfortable,
he looked decisive. Now some of that comes via Shane
Steichen and the play calling, because there were some screens

mixed in, little.

Rpo action, some short throws, but he pushed the ball
downfield too. Handled pressure well, So.

That first travel was like wow, and then after that
it got a little inconsistent. And that's again, this is
typically part of the growth pattern you see from quarterbacks
in the NFL because and you said it probably best
yesterday Jonas that he is, in essence, still a rookie
and he's going to have those moments of inconsistency or learning.

But it's it's how does he respond, how does he
grow from that?

So, you know, the pick six obviously didn't look good,
and there's some other, you know, missed opportunities, but I
thought that first drive always kind of gives you a
glimpse of Okay, this is this is what it can
look like. This is what it you know, will look
like at some point throughout the entirety of the game.
And it's never always gonna be perfect like that, but
that with Shanstike and call plays man, he's gonna be

able to dollal some things up to make Anthony feel
really comfortable out there.

In case you missed this, apparently, Tuesday night, Rick Patino's
office got broken into and some thieves made away with
a ceremonial sword and bullhorn out of his office at
the Saint John's basketball facility.

Was a bottle of wine or something he said he
had in his office that he said got stolen.

something just specific that he mentioned or shot it out,
but that got stolen.

In case you missed this, NFL head of Security says
that threats towards players from fans fueled by fantasy football
and sports betting has hit a new high, and that
they are creating a process in putting a process in
place to identify and ban these fans who ever threatened
players based off of this?
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Did you, guys, ever get threatened? Like if you cost
somebody a game because of a bet, or if somebody
could blame to your team for losing something and he
lost like a four team parlay or some crap like that. Like,
what was the most out of bounds thing a fan
has said to you, like either in person.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
I don't have a story for that one, my guy,
I know Jonas on the spot, Guys, can you recall
I don't know, fifteen years ago? So tell us the
most offensive thing that someone's ever said that almost ignited
into a fight. Yeah, like something or maybe cause like
a legal battle or issue, or maybe you needed to
have security.

There's so much going on. You don't recall when somebody
threatened your family's life over a bet you cost them. Yeah,

his punishment was he had to survive in Las Vegas
for a day with just twenty dollars in no hotel
room as they awaited their next draft the following day.

So twenty bucks, no hotel and a twenty four hour
period in Vegas. Yes, that's so.

You can find deals in Vegas. Two dollars four and
twenty twenty four.

You can't get through Vegas for an entire day with.

I've I've been I've been there in Vegas where I've
gotten broke. I've gone broken, had to survive like twelve hours,
and that was that's shockingly.
