The way tire buying should be. By the way, I
just saw this thing on the news. Some guys retiring
as a logger after seven decades, eighty five years old.
(01:04):
That's called loving your job.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
That's called grown man ish.
Speaker 6 (01:08):
Damn right. He started with his fifteen I guess eighty five.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
A wonder what he looks like.
Speaker 7 (01:15):
He probably looks like an alpha.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Yeah, absolutely shredded at eighty five, big forearms, probably destroy
your hand. Yeah, callouses, like it's his entire hand as calloused.
Speaker 6 (01:29):
He doesn't even have a hand anymore. Like fingernails have
sap in him from like the sixties. Like just it's awesome.
Good for him.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
So a congratulations, sir, enjoy your retirement and listen to
the show if you can.
Speaker 6 (01:41):
If you get a hold of the iHeartRadio app. Now
that being said, Russell Wilson's.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Not as old as that logger who's retiring after seven decades.
But he is still playing and he is still going
to be the starting quarterback in the NFL, but this
time for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 6 (01:59):
And here was Mike Tomlin, the head coach, making the announcement.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
Yesterday.
Speaker 8 (02:02):
I met with both quarterbacks here just a few minutes
ago after practice, and I informed them that russs QB
one going into Week one. It was a difficult decision,
but not difficult in a negative way, to be quite
honest with you, It was difficult in a positive way.
The decision was difficult because of what they're capable of doing.
Decision was difficult because of how they conducted themselves as
(02:24):
opposed to the things that they fall shorty in in
terms of capabilities or negative conduct.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
So worst kept secret in the world. Russell Wilson's going
to be your starting quarterback. He did note did Mike
Tomlin that there will be justin field sightings on the
field for Week one against the Atlanta Falcons, that they
plan to have some packages and some plays and opportunities
for him out there.
Speaker 6 (02:49):
So there's your update.
Speaker 7 (02:51):
Here's how I always feel about that.
Speaker 9 (02:53):
If you're trying to find ways of getting the guy
on the field, he probably should just be on the field.
I've always felt that way, and it doesn't make any
sense because either you feel good enough about Russell Wilson
and you want the ball in his hands, or you don't.
Speaker 7 (03:09):
I mean, we don't.
Speaker 9 (03:11):
Need to make the whole like, hey, if it's a
Hall of Fame quarterback, do we do it?
Speaker 7 (03:14):
Because with Drew Brees, you.
Speaker 9 (03:16):
Know, Sean Payton did that with Taysom Hill. He'd take
him off the field or he'd put him in wildcat
for different packages, and Drew Brees signed up for that.
Speaker 7 (03:25):
But that was also at the end of Drew Brees' career.
Speaker 9 (03:27):
You know, you didn't see that happened with Payton, You
didn't see that happened with Tom Brady, you didn't see
that happened with a number of guys.
Speaker 7 (03:33):
Doesn't happen with Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 9 (03:35):
I mean, I think it again, the whole salary portion
of the conversation doesn't really matter, since Denver his paying
the bulk of what Russell Wilson costs, you know, to
play in the NFL this year. But there is some
logic to the sense of, like, we're paying this guy
how much and then we're not having him take every snap,
(03:57):
in particular some of the most crucial. You know, I'll
oftentimes you getting those third downs where you want to
show them a different look. You put in some sort
of wildcat formation. I mean, you're kind of setting a message,
are you not.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I think what Mike Tomlin wanted to say was this
was a difficult decision for me to make because I
know that Russ is not going to run like the
old Russ that was in Seattle. And my offensive line, well,
y'all can see it. Some of them they just aren't
really good, and I thought they'd be better. I thought
(04:32):
i'd make this decision be better but unfortunately for us
it hasn't been and so I would want to think
about playing Justin Fields. But Justin Fields holds the ball
too long, he doesn't throw the ball at all. Russell
Wilson throws the ball, he gets it out to the checkdown.
(04:52):
Justin Fields well, he moves around holding looking, not throwing,
and then disaster to run. They both get the same
amount of yards. So I just don't really know if
it was worth it to put Justin Fields in there
ahead of one Russell Wilson. I at least have a
(05:13):
chance of Russ possibly having some time to throw the
ball within a four quarter game, since he hasn't played
four quarters yet.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
I'm hoping that.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
In a four quarter game, Russ will do more than
just throw check downs in the game, and we'll play
great defense. We had our defense on the sideline. We'll
play great defense. I feel better with Russ. That's what
he wanted to say. That isn't what he wanted to say.
That's what would have been the truth of what he
was saying, is what I think. That's just kind of
(05:48):
how I see it. I just don't know how that ends, all.
Speaker 9 (05:53):
Right, Levarn, Because you've never been a I don't know,
believer in Russell Wilson.
Speaker 7 (05:58):
So I'm gonna see both you and Joe.
Speaker 5 (06:00):
We'll say never.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
I just know, Okay, this this year, this year.
Speaker 9 (06:03):
In Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, I'm gonna see you guys up
and it'd be great if we could get some I
don't know, maybe some background music or something.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
Oh wow, oh wow.
Speaker 7 (06:15):
Okay, I guess this will work. This will have to work.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Okay, Okay.
Speaker 9 (06:19):
The Pittsburgh Steelers bye week comes week nine of the season,
which means they have it almost perfectly placed in the
middle of the year.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
Seventeen games can exactly be perfect, but it's close. So
here's their first.
Speaker 9 (06:33):
Eight games of the season, and you tell me if
and when there would be a switch, all right?
Speaker 7 (06:41):
Starting off Week one.
Speaker 9 (06:42):
The Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Atlanta to take on the Falcons,
followed up by Week two, back to back weeks on
the road. They got to Denver to take on the
Bo Nicks led Denver Broncos. Then they come back for
their first home game the Terrible Towels Sticks Renegade getting
it going before the fourth.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
Quarter to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. It's a
long trip for those Boys.
Speaker 6 (07:05):
Back on the road again.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
Three of their first four games are on the road.
Speaker 9 (07:08):
They go to Indianapolis in week four, and then it's
followed up by a home game versus the Boys Dallas
Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Week six, they head back
out on the road to Las Vegas. Week seven, hosting
hosting on Sunday Night Football the New York Jets led
(07:32):
by we Hope Aaron Rodgers. And then finally Week eight,
Monday Night Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers facing at home the
New York Giants. Do you want to keep going or
do you feel like there's a week in there that
strike night.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
I'm ready to go, undefe, I'm ready to go.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
They might be undefeated about week nine, who still.
Speaker 6 (07:56):
What?
Speaker 5 (07:57):
They might be undefeated nine.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
There's a better chance of me knowing Spanish fluidly by
week nine than the Steelers being I find one or
two wins tops during that stretch. They're going to lose
to Atlanta, They're going to lose to Denver, probably going
to lose.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
To the Church.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Gives you what gives you the idea that they're going
to lose to all those teams.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
I don't think they're as good as them. Why, well,
they've got issues on the offensive line. They've got quarterback
question marks.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
That's true.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
I mean they're playing valid point.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
They're playing a dollars seventy five and a pack of
rolled goals to two quarterbacks, and they just now made
their decision on both, even though I think we all
kind of understood what we were getting.
Speaker 6 (08:37):
I just I have no faith in the Steelers this year.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
I think the only offense that I look at that
definitively I think they can beat them, beat their defense
and win the game is Dallas. I'm not sold on
Atlanta yet. That's early. Kirk Cousins is new. I'm not
sold on that. Indianapolis not sold on that. The Chargers
(09:04):
not sold on that. Who else at.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Denver not definitely not sold on that.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
To be noted, though Denver early in the season at
Mile High their win loss record at home is pretty outstanding.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
Doesn't matter, Okay, doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
I don't think bow Knicks is going to be able
to perform well enough again versus that defense. I'm looking
at the defense as the sole reason as to why
this team has a chance to have success, and I
name one of those teams outside of the Dallas Cowboys
(09:43):
que name one of them that their offense is going
to be able to overpower or put up enough points on.
Speaker 5 (09:50):
That Steelers defense.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
And I say that with the one caveat Atlanta being
Atlanta will be interesting week one to Watt, TJ Watt
obvious and Cam Hayward staying healthy, right those two, if
those two are on the field, Name one of those
offenses that are going to be able to have that
type of sting.
Speaker 9 (10:10):
I'm with bar Manfense, I'm with var I give them
a fighting chance. I think Atlanta, Los Angeles, the Chargers
at home in Week three, I mean opening home game
of the season. They got to travel across time zones.
There's just there's a lot of moving parts there. Like
I could even see them taking care of Los Angeles.
(10:31):
Dallas will be will be a tough one. And I
think the Jets at home in prime time, assuming Rogers
is there and healthy. Like those those three games, the Jets, Chargers, Dallas,
maybe Atlanta maybe four, So I would say it worse.
They're like four and four after the first eight games.
At best, I mean they legit could be six and two,
seven to one.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
Yeah, I mean, if we're asking the question if there's
going to be a switch, win's it gonna happen if
the bye week is in week nine. I think it's
going to happen week six when they go to Vegas,
because if they start off poorly, and I think they're
going to start off zero to two, and if they
start off poorly and on Sunday Night Football they get
(11:12):
mutilated by the Cowboys, which they will, I think Mike
Tomlin might look at this and go season slipping away.
I got to make a move because I'm just saying that.
And he's been patient. He was patient with Matt Canada,
but I don't think he's got a connection like that.
Speaker 6 (11:29):
With either one of these guys.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
And I think everything's on the table, and if Russ
doesn't play well, like they're not financially committed to him
the way you know some other teams are to their quarterback,
I think they're going to make a move, and they'll
make one early, I think.
Speaker 6 (11:44):
But I mean, again, at.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Least we were I thought I had the resident title
of hater, but dang, Hutch, you made a strong case
just now.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yeah, But you know what, at least though we got
to hear the Steelers poka in the background.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
And really know what?
Speaker 1 (11:58):
It never got old to me? Like I've never drapping
down with black rank? Could you please start with off you?
Speaker 6 (12:02):
Do you know the lyrics from here?
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Lamar?
Speaker 5 (12:04):
Do I know the lyrics?
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Like?
Speaker 5 (12:06):
Do you know?
Speaker 3 (12:07):
No?
Speaker 5 (12:09):
I just know the hook? What is the hook? The
Pittsburgh Steelers?
Speaker 6 (12:17):
I know the hook?
Speaker 5 (12:18):
So good?
Speaker 6 (12:21):
This is the best fight song in the NFL. It's
not even close to great fight song.
Speaker 9 (12:26):
I disagree. I think the preseason songs that Colts Fan
came up with were pretty dynamic.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
Who were those?
Speaker 2 (12:32):
You didn't?
Speaker 6 (12:33):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Okay, just just give me a few minutes in the break, Okay,
all right, I got you come so well. We will
effort putting that together here. But that's the the situation
in Pittsburgh now. Girod Mayo, the head coach of the Patriots,
we talked about this while we were filling in on
the Herd earlier this week here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
UH.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
He pointed out that he was not ready to make
a decision on his starting quarterback, but he did say
multiple times Drake may had outplayed Jaco be pre set
during the preseason. Here he was discussing his decision on
the starting quarterback, and just when he feels like he's
gonna let everybody know who that is.
Speaker 10 (13:10):
I know everyone wants to know that. I'm going to
talk to the individual players tomorrow. I'm gonna have a
team meeting tomorrow and then I'll get it to you guys.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
So you made a decision, you just having communicated.
Speaker 10 (13:23):
Yes, we've made a decision, just having communicated. And honestly,
I want those guys to hear it first from me
before they hear it from someone else.
Speaker 6 (13:32):
I mean, why don't they already know?
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Did he just decide on that, Like moments before he
got to the podium and talked to the media, Like
if he already knows, Like why not tell them then?
Like is nobody able to keep a secret in the building?
Or what are we doing here? Like why are we
playing games? It's gonna be Drake May, correct, I mean
the odds have been taken off DraftKings, Like I think
(13:55):
it's gonna be Drake May. That would be my guest,
by the way, if it's not Drake May. And we
delete all of this from the pod just to try
and try and keep some reputations going strong here on
the show. So, uh, there's the update on the I
just wish Little War wasn't set distracted right now?
Speaker 6 (14:10):
What is the Uh?
Speaker 9 (14:12):
He's he's just so, he's so, he's done, he's done
for today. I'm calling it what we I'm calling in
sixteen minutes into the show here, throw in the.
Speaker 6 (14:23):
Towel for all the tow Let me tell you something
I'm not.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
I'm not done. You know.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
That would be a kins I go to to be
honest with you, like, I'm kind of over him at
this point. I've been to a thousand. I mean, if
if that's on the menu, sign me up. That don't work?
Speaker 5 (14:42):
Yeah, that would be a starter.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
To start thinking out loud, ow what just taking a guess?
Speaker 5 (14:54):
That would be a starter.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Man, I would say that c actually is right. I
would say he's right.
Speaker 6 (15:04):
Right on what what.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
He just said. I haven't checked out yet.
Speaker 6 (15:09):
Oh okay, it's distracted.
Speaker 7 (15:11):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
I think I think you just got knocked out.
Speaker 7 (15:17):
I think you just got knocked out right there.
Speaker 5 (15:19):
I don't know, man, you know, it's a bit much.
It's a bit.
Speaker 7 (15:24):
It's a lot. There's a lot. It's a lot to handle.
Speaker 4 (15:28):

Polly and Tony Foodsco Show.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (16:07):
But instead of us telling you how great we are,
here's how Dan Patrick described us when he came on
our show.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
Quick, knowledgeable and funny, opinionated.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
What what are you doing?
Speaker 5 (16:17):
We were interrupting our promo.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Yeah, you wasn't talking about you. You took those clips
totally out of context.
Speaker 11 (16:23):
Oh yeah, well after this promo, I'm gonna take you
out and beat you.
Speaker 6 (16:27):
Let me put this into context.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Shut up.
Speaker 11 (16:30):
Yeah, anyway, just listening to the Paully and Tony Fosco
Show on iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts oherever you get your podcasts, Yee.

but there's not the list. It's the Lee List, Lee's
Liquor Store list coming up here in about twenty minutes
from now here from the tire rack dot Com studios.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
A lot of a.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Lot of conversation during the break about what's real what's fake. Yeah,
Lorena feels very strongly and has some uh some real
knowledge on the topic.
Speaker 7 (17:16):
Are you trying to say that's fake, Lorena.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
Brady, Yes, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Apparently there's there's other stuff that's going on, like people
don't even wait for Halloween, how to put on costumes, Cloria.
Lorena like, uh oh interesting, Yeah, I think that's what
that is.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 12 (17:33):
I mean, I just know that fat grafting is a thing,
and there's no way that you can have such a
slim waist like that and have such a big dairy
aer and matching thighs.
Speaker 7 (17:45):
I don't know what is fat grafting.
Speaker 12 (17:48):
Where you take fat from one area of your body
and inject it into another.
Speaker 6 (17:53):
Can I do that to my calves?
Speaker 12 (17:56):
I think those are more muscular?
Speaker 6 (17:57):
AWE do that?
Speaker 12 (18:00):
It depends It is an actual like surgical procedure too,
so I think you'd have to consult your doctor.
Speaker 7 (18:05):
Yeah, that was actually like a great PSI thank you.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Yeah, this conversation is gonna get a lot more fun
over the next couple of months.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
I have a feeling with Lorena, so we'll leave that out.
I don't know why you'd say that, Jonah.
Speaker 7 (18:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (18:20):
I don't know at all why either.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Now, Brady did mention that there was a fight song
or a rally song for the Indianapolis Colts. That's right, Lee,
You've got You've got these like who's the artist so
we can credit him or discredit him when we hear these.
Speaker 13 (18:37):
I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce his name, but
I guess it's Seth Erskin's and friends. Okay, is who
I'm going to credit right now for the Colts versus
the Broncos. Preseason Game one pump up music here it is.
Speaker 14 (18:56):
This is Coults, this is te Bleed. This is our Couts,
whether winner lose.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
We love them for the shoe beat the Broncos.
Speaker 14 (19:11):
Let's show them who the real horse is. This is
our team.
Speaker 5 (19:20):
Is that a real song?
Speaker 9 (19:22):
I don't know about the dogs, but that is a
that's a real song.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Now they didn't beat the Denver Broncos, but lee, do
we have the Arizona one Cusnati one?
Speaker 6 (19:33):
Unfortunately we do?
Speaker 5 (19:34):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (19:34):
Here it is all right, here we go.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
This is our Couts. This is our team. Wee bleed blues.
This is our.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
Cuts weather winner, the same song.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
We love them for the shoe beat the corners.
Speaker 14 (19:58):
Let's stop them on their big red wings.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
This is our team. Go cold, yeah, I.
Speaker 9 (20:08):
Mean, we might as well do the third one and
then and by the way, they did beat the Cardinals
twenty one to thirteen.
Speaker 7 (20:13):
Hmmm, do we have the last one?
Speaker 5 (20:17):
Leg volting?
Speaker 6 (20:18):
We're h at least putting it together right now?
Speaker 7 (20:21):
You be efforting.
Speaker 9 (20:22):
I mean I said this to him in fact, in
the last last second, only got two Oh.
Speaker 6 (20:27):
Jeez, eddie, you've got the final version of this or what?
Uh geddy?
Speaker 7 (20:33):
There's three links there buddy, is this against the Bengals?
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (20:37):
Who is the third team they played?
Speaker 7 (20:40):
They played the Bengals? Yeah, okay, right here you go.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
All right, this is our couts.
Speaker 14 (20:50):
This is our team we played.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
This is our Cults. Whether winner or lose, we love
eat the Bengals.
Speaker 14 (21:04):
Let's cook a man eat their sty This is team Gold.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
Oh that's him at the end.
Speaker 7 (21:17):
But who's who's adding the dog sounds?
Speaker 5 (21:19):
Is that him?
Speaker 6 (21:19):
That's that's Loredo?
Speaker 5 (21:22):
What? What is that?
Speaker 6 (21:22):
Lorena sounds like dogs? It just does.
Speaker 7 (21:29):
That horse sound?
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Is?
Speaker 15 (21:31):
By the way, the visuals of him, like the excitement
that he's bringing with.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
This, is any anybody, anybody, anybody.
Speaker 6 (21:39):
In Indianapolis want to know why Andrew Luck retired? That's why?
Speaker 5 (21:43):
All right?
Speaker 6 (21:43):
You want to be around that crawd real or fake?
Speaker 9 (21:46):
Is he actually like do you think he's that passion
of a fan and he's not trying to do this
for parody?
Speaker 15 (21:51):
It's tough to say these days, Brady. I'm gonna say though,
that it's legit that he really thinks that this is good.
And then he's we're supporting the team and that everyone's
gonna really like this, all right, And The.
Speaker 9 (22:03):
Only other thing I ask is, could someone send Eddie
the the video we were watching in the brains.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
I didn't have him give a realer fake on that. Yeah,
like oh, just showing someone show Eddie and then Eddie.
You could just say realer fake and Eddie just deleted
it right after you watch it. You know, you know
what any.
Speaker 7 (22:24):
This isn't going to be like a Roberto thing, right, No.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
No, it's a woman good good, No it is not.
Speaker 6 (22:35):
This is not a Roberto thing. You can be.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
Rest as shared. He's got different interests. But uh, I
told you man, we lost LeVar. He's done. He is done.
He is checked out, folks, he's done. Man to put
(22:58):
a fork in them. That's a wrap someone throwing the
white towel.
Speaker 5 (23:03):
Let me see this?
Speaker 6 (23:04):
What is it? Oh goodness? Make it stop talking about
get the chip off your shoulder.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
I don't want Eddie.
Speaker 6 (23:31):
Like I mean that dog must have got like that
owner at all.
Speaker 5 (23:38):
He's getting he's getting groomed. It's not an owner, that's
that's like he's at the groomer, the groomer.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Can we get back to the show at some point? Okay,
knowing at home is able to watch what you're saying, LeVar,
can you describe what is what happened in the video
just for people listening.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
So it looks like the lady he's trying to groom
the dog and the dog.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
At first, I.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Thought he was like just putting his you know, is
junk on the groomer's shoulder. But it was actually him
doing the lead the lap on the shoulder and it
went down the back. I don't call it a deuce anymore.
I'm call it the lap.
Speaker 7 (24:23):
Oh man.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Yeh, dog took care of business on the groomer's shoulder,
So that's correct. I gotta be careful there now. You
gotta be careful, you know. Speaking of being careful, Tom
Brady apparently he's got to be careful when it comes
to how he calls games if he's approved to be
the owner of the.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
Las Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
So apparently there were some restrictions that were put in place.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
If everything gets improved.
Speaker 9 (24:51):
Let me put it this way, if he ends up
getting an ownership stake, he will not be calling games
for Fox.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
I don't think.
Speaker 9 (24:58):
There's there's too many of restrictions, and it would be
extremely difficult to do that job. I mean unless they
I mean, you have to look at it from both
sides of this.
Speaker 7 (25:10):
So if you want to be involved.
Speaker 9 (25:12):
As a minority owner, I would imagine that you would
want to take advantage of and getting all the potential
information you could, and especially if you're Tom Brady and
you're maybe angling to be the majority owner at some
point in the future. So if that's the case, you'd
want to be pretty intricately involved in the organization. It's
inner workings, how the business is running, how the team
(25:35):
is being run, all of that, and you'd have to
sacrifice all of that in order to still do broadcasting.
Speaker 7 (25:46):
So I think this will there will be.
Speaker 9 (25:48):
A fork in the road at the time of which
he gets approved to become a minority owner in the NFL,
and at that point he'll have to make a decision
because I don't think you can do.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Both be in the meetings during the week. He can't
like when it comes to criticizing officials. You know, he
can't go over the top, But I don't know where
that line is to where you can't publicly criticize him
because you'll be subject to fines.
Speaker 7 (26:13):
I mean, it's kind of like that anyway.
Speaker 9 (26:15):
Honestly, you know, you can be publicly subject defines, that's
part of it. But you know, as a broadcaster, we're
always coached by Mike Prayerr and Dean Blandino. Hey, these
guys are out there doing like it's a thankless job.
Ninety five percent of the time they're getting it right.
It's the five percent that we catch and that we
make a big deal about and say, all these guys
(26:35):
stink where you tend to forget they're running hundreds of plays,
you know, throughout the course of a game, and then
they're getting most of those right, the vast majority of them.
So that's not as big of an issue. It's just
the it's the insider information that he would have on
Las Vegas, the wall that I think would be put
up by other teams and franchises, especially within the division.
Speaker 7 (26:55):
You know, teams are going to play twice a year.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
Again.
Speaker 7 (26:58):
I just I don't think it will allow him to
do both.
Speaker 9 (27:02):
I understand that they're trying to create this idea there's
a path forward, you know, and Seth Wigersham kind of
tries to lay that out. He also tried to lay
out the departure of Brady for like six or seven
years and that then happens. So we'll see when this
all comes together, but I think they'll be. They'll come
a decision that Tom Brady has to make if and
when he's a proof of ownership.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Is there any way possible that it could play out
where he's able to do both. I just feel like
if he made the decision with the amount of money
that has been disclosed, the amount of investment of time
that he's put into wanting to be a successful commentator
(27:43):
or you know, gag, gag, color call, what.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Are they called again, color commenting, color commentary, color analysts,
color analysts.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
If he's put in all that time, I mean, he's
had to have known what the process is from a
very intimate sandpoint in terms of getting approved for this
minority stake.
Speaker 5 (28:04):
I mean, why why waste your time? Why not just wait?
Speaker 6 (28:07):
Can I present the question to you guys like this.
Speaker 9 (28:09):
Because you get paid thirty seven point five million while
you're waiting?
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Not if he I mean, what are we saying the
timeframe is on this taking place?
Speaker 7 (28:18):
I think it's going to take longer than people realize.
Speaker 8 (28:20):
Me.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
Let me ask you for the so he'll get at
least one season and.
Speaker 6 (28:23):
Let me ask.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
I think he'll probably get at least two. Go ahead,
ask a question. So no, I just want to. I
was trying to ask the question of you guys have
both called Sorry, am I gonna to ask questions?
Speaker 5 (28:32):
Or no?
Speaker 4 (28:32):
I just want to I just want to get this
in league. Yeah, get him a box of tissues. Yeah,
I got your ten dollars here. Well, Jesus Christ, I'm
just trying to ask a question. I'm not trying to
derail the segment and get to something else. I was
going to say, you guys have both called games, so
you know what these meetings are like during the week
with teams. So is it possible in your experience to
(28:54):
be able to call games without the access that Tom
Brady's going to have a views the owner.
Speaker 7 (28:59):
Yes, it's possible.
Speaker 9 (29:00):
I mean I would actually be willing to say it's
you know, eighty five percent of what you're going to
talk about is not coming from those conversations with the teams.
But that being said, eighty five percent of your preparation
through film, through analyzing the data or the statistics ultimately
could get thrown out. And that's because the game could
take an entirely different direction and so that last fifteen
(29:24):
percent that you got from the interviews with players and
coaches on both teams now becomes crucial because of a
lot of what they talk about will end up providing
insight into why things aren't going the way they are
or why they're going the way they are maybe for
one team, and obviously anecdotally other things that will come
(29:44):
along that you had in those conversations. So that's the
hardest part about calling games is you can be as
prepared as you want to be. And for example, you know,
I don't know who called the Jets opening season game
last year, but imagine all the prep you had putting
in Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers, you know,
in the off season and everything else, and you know,
(30:04):
all the stuff you had going through the off season,
you know, with the Jets leading up to that moment,
and that is thrown out the window. Graphics, elements that
you're going to play, everything was thrown out the window.
Speaker 7 (30:18):
Yeah, so there you go.
Speaker 9 (30:19):
So so Troy and obviously Joe buck are like, all right,
Plan B. But but even everyone behind the scene, all
the all the works they put in, all that goes
out the window, and it's an entirely new story, and
now you're covering that story, you know, the emotions of
the players and the team and Rogers everything else. So
that's in a nutshell essentially how it works. And that's
(30:41):
why again I go back to from everything that I
have heard and been told, he will have to.
Speaker 7 (30:49):
Make a decision at that point.
Speaker 5 (30:52):
Jeez man, Yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
When I did my meetings, I mean, they they don't
disclose anything to you. I mean, the point of it
all is, let's be clear, someone like Tom Brady, whoever
it is he has relationships with, which is like kind
of goes for I would assume all of us, right,
(31:13):
whoever we have relationships with.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
We can get we can get.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
More intimate information. But if you don't know anybody and
or there's no type of tie or connection there, or
or even just a mutual respect for one another. When
when you get onto the interview call or if it's
in person, they're not They're just going to keep it
(31:38):
pretty pretty.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
Basic to what it is.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
And they they may they may interact with you differently
because they know who you are, or like I said,
there's the respect of who you are and there's that
mutual respect. But I mean, it's not like you know,
I mean, maybe it's different for Tom Brady. I don't know,
but I would assume that they're going to handle things
(32:04):
the same way and keep it above board and not
go down the lane of giving too much, you know,
back information, like if there's like I recall, you know,
Miles Garrett had just had one of those like kind
of come to Jesus moments with the team when they
were going into that Detroit game that that stood out
(32:26):
to me. We got Miles Garrett on, we talked about it,
talk to defensive coordinator about it, and it was just
kind of talked about in a way where that's how
it would be discussed, you know, not not discussed in
a way where it gives things away. It just you know,
I don't know. I just don't think. I don't I
(32:49):
don't see how it creates such a conflict of interest
for Tom Brady if he just kind of remains above board,
Like what is he what type of information would he
get would be damning to or or a conflict to
to him, you know, being being an owner, like all
(33:09):
he has to do is stay away from asking any
type of inappropriate questions.
Speaker 5 (33:15):
I would think, But that's just I don't know, that's
just how I I.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Just don't see how he could create what what is
he going to ask, like, what what information is he
going to to ascertain that's going to lead to be
in a conflict.
Speaker 9 (33:30):
Injury information, I mean, that's well obviously one of the
biggest things that even though there's injury reports, there's enough
vagueness that you know, he might know guys who.
Speaker 7 (33:40):
I mean, the heck, I mean, this happened in New England.
Speaker 9 (33:43):
Guys who are on the injury report that are gonna
be fine, right, that may be questionable or however they
you know, label them. There might be some guys that
you know, game day decision the assuming they got and
then he knows they're going to play. That's the biggest
thing obviously that swings you know, betting throughout the course,
uh of very weak every game. And that's obviously something
that is huge from an NFL standpoint, from a matchup standpoint.
(34:05):
So it's it's it's the injury information that would be
the biggest conflict of interest, which you know, as a
broadcaster you deal with it as it comes, but if
you're on the inside, you know, for the Raiders, and
you know you're again you're against a divisional opponent. That
makes it a little more difficult. And that's the hard
(34:26):
part is that's only one piece of it. You know,
there could be some other interer workings, whether it's you know,
things he knows that are going on in the roster
and negotiations or trades. It depends on again, how deep
he would be involved with the Raiders organization in order
to one day you'd think want to be majority owner,
and I assume he would would be intricately involved as
(34:49):
a majority owner. I don't think he'd be a guy
who's like, hey, I own the Raiders, but I'm not
going to be around.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
I mean, if he does get information where he's like yeah,
so you're saying that you guys don't want.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
Him anymore, Like okay, I mean, oh look I talked
to you people.
Speaker 6 (35:02):
They can exactly after the game, see.
Speaker 5 (35:04):
If we can get see if we can get him
in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
They can also just they could radio it. They could
radio it in well too.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
They'd be like, over, hey, let me use my rappid
radio to see if we could get a trade going,
just just while I'm doing these games.
Speaker 5 (35:17):
But whole you know while I'm waiting to become an
owner of the team. That's right, you can use Rappid

it for you. That'll be yours here on FSR. Not
much time, so let's get right to it. It is
a Thursday tradition. Lee's liquor store list random categories in
(37:22):
a liquor store, and Lee has ranked them all.
Speaker 6 (37:24):
Lee, what do we got?
Speaker 13 (37:25):
This is your bottom five, not your top five, more
like your bottom five. Things you'd only get if you
were in a pinch. And even then, you're not looking
good in a pinch.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
Oh, okay, in a pinch.
Speaker 6 (37:37):
I gotta look that up.
Speaker 13 (37:38):
What does it mean to be in a pinch? Guys,
in a pinch? Unless you absolutely need it, You're on
your way to a shindig. Don't get your wine at
a liquor store.
Speaker 6 (37:48):
It's not the place to go. Even Wines of the
World over here.
Speaker 13 (37:52):
No, they're overpriced. You gotta go to the Wines of
the world. Winds of the World is good. You go
to a fine establishment. Don't get your wine that at
the liquor store. It's usually baked in the sun. It
looks like a good deal. It's not a good deal. Okay,
fair bad spot cigars, same thing you think it's good.
It's got a human door. That human door don't work.
(38:13):
It's all dried out. But if you're in a pinch
and you're on your way to the bachelor party or
on your way to a wedding, you need to get it.
Speaker 5 (38:19):
Go ahead.
Speaker 6 (38:19):
So no humidors at a liquor store work.
Speaker 5 (38:23):
Very rare.
Speaker 13 (38:24):
You gotta find you, you know, unless you're in a
smoozy neighborhood.
Speaker 5 (38:28):
Not my liquor store.
Speaker 6 (38:29):
Don't do it.
Speaker 5 (38:30):
I've done it. I'll tell you. Don't do it. I
thing crumbled to nothing outside of the plastic.
Speaker 13 (38:36):
Yeah, toilet trees. Sometimes you need it. Sometimes you need
a little deodorant. We've all been there.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
Jonas really has talked about the Right Guard. Bad man. Yeah,
bad idea. It was a speed stick.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
I think it was an old spice.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (38:49):
Armpits are stinging.
Speaker 5 (38:50):
It burns, burns.
Speaker 7 (38:52):
It's probably good though, right, And is I a cleaning
them that?
Speaker 6 (38:54):
I think so?
Speaker 5 (38:54):
Say the alcohol had already dried up?
Speaker 6 (38:57):
Yeah, not guys.
Speaker 13 (38:58):
If you're in a New York City, maybe you get
a chopped cheese, maybe you get a sandwich. Don't get
your sandwiches at a liquor store, Fellas, bad idea.
Speaker 7 (39:06):
Lastly sell sandwiches a liquor store.
Speaker 6 (39:08):
Yes they do.
Speaker 13 (39:09):
Lastly, don't get your drugs at a liquor store Story
twenty four. Go to a dispensary like, come on, not
a good idea, dang
