Speaker 1 (01:33):
Woo what a weekend?
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Huh yeah, great week What a weekend of college football?
And now we've got the NFL adding to the mix
this week. It's it's just been awesome. I'm so happy
football is back.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Can I make a proclamation? I would like to guarantee
you something here on care GOA. This is the business
of guarantees. I will guarantee you Florida State will not
be in the top ten when the new rankings come out.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
You sure we'll be safe? I'm gonna get how about
that's all?
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Guarantee you they want to be in the top twenty
five after the college football rankings come out, And just
remind people the college football playoff rankings won't be out.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
For a while, so that we know for sure the AP.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
And coaches pull will be out I think today, and yeah,
they will not be a part.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Of the top twenty five. Dang, I mean kind of.
Speaker 6 (02:22):
I mean they've been pretty impressive. If you ask me,
you think so. Yes, it takes an impressive group to
come out and start zing two. I mean, it just does.
And to travel as far as they did to do it.
I mean, man, they've given these teams life. Shouts out
to Bill O'Brien and then to the start of his
(02:43):
career at Boston College, you know.
Speaker 7 (02:45):
I mean, they had a good show.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
It was a fun weekend and you got a little
bit of everything, little mixture of everything, you know, a
lot of a lot of underdogs performing well against the
spread Mother nature kicks some people in the nuts. Break
he witnessed on Morgantown.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Over the world. I mean, do we really want to
do a recap? Is this all they want to do it?
Speaker 7 (03:05):
Or do it?
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Maybe play some some music underneath. It spiced this thing
up a lot. I mean, let's just start off with
the number one Georgia Bulldogs taking Clemson to the mat.
I think a lot of people question, right now, where
is this Clemson program?
Speaker 1 (03:21):
What happened to Dado Sweeney.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
The Buckeyes got started off slow with Akron ended up
pulling away. The addition of Will Howard as the transfer
quarterback was seen. However, it was Jeremiah Smith that stole
the show with a couple of touchdown catches. The freshman
phenom we need to keep an eye on him. Oregon
played another tight game as well versus Idaho. It took
him to the end to really pull away. Dylan Gabriel
(03:45):
put up some impressive stats, but maybe not quite as
advertised so far. But we'll see what they look like
in Week two of college football as we go on
down the list. Texas took care of business versus Colorado State.
Quinn Yours was on fire. Any questions of whether or
not Texas is back, you know, I think they answered
those to some degree. Arch Mandic even got some burn time.
(04:07):
Looked good as well as he jumped in. There we
go through the list, we've got. Oklahoma State was able
to pound South Dakota State. They looked like they could
be a contender in the Big Twelve. Notre Dame took
advantage of Texas AAEM on the road with a salty
defense and a running game led by Jeremiah Love, the
running back who's pretty high on I mean myself. Let's
(04:30):
talk about Penn State var front. Shim in here on
your Nitney Lions taking care of business in Morgantown.
Speaker 6 (04:36):
Well, it was a little sloppy like the weather. You know,
a little bit of bad ball handling here and there.
But after you know, they shored up and got their
sea legs under them. It looked as though they were
able to establish to run play fast defense, and on
offense they pushed the ball downfield and laning it. Yeah,
I mean, they looked like they could have some guys.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
Wallace and what's the man fell?
Speaker 1 (05:04):
His name Amari Banks.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
There we go, mister, yeah, I gotcha, I got you.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Moving on.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Tennessee took advantage of Chattanooga sixty nine to three. Nico Mayleava,
their quarterback there, showed out in a big way.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
He looks to be the real deal.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Remember he was the guy who supposed to had that
nil deal worth what about eight million dollars or so
whatever it was. I don't know what they're paying on,
but it looks like it's pay off. Iowa forty points
forty points from.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Well, it's not all the Iowa offense, but the.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Defense was stout.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Kade Macnamer was able to throw three tunnies, never two
undred fifty yards. It seemed like an offensive explosion. Lsuit
number thirteen. LSU and USC battled on Sunday night. It
was a great game. Southern Cal, though, was able to
win this thing out. Miller mosslik fantastic, as did the
wide receivers and an improved.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Defense from Southern Cal.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
When I was all said and.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Done, all about the you that you might be back,
Baby cam wore the number one transfer quarterback this offseason
helped the Miami Hurricanes go into the swamp and pound
the Florida Gators. Billy Navier could be in trouble with
the schedule that they've got this season. Old Miss and
Jackson Dart no big deal, just five touchdowns over four
yards passing in the first half versus Furman. They cruised
(06:14):
to win seventy six to nothing. Kansas State led by
Avery Johnson who threw for over one hundred and fifty
yards a couple of tunnies, but they took care of
ut Martin forty.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
One to six.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
Michigan a tight one ross Fresido State till the second half,
they pull away in the fourth quarter. That's Davis warning
gets to start. However, again still a salty defense. Will
Johnson with a pick six on that one. Bama's Bama
sixty three enough versus Western Kentucky Jalen Milrose showed out
in a small sample size and another wide receiver keeping
on Ryan Williams, there are a couple of receptions for
(06:44):
one hundred and thirty.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Nine yards and two touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Oklahoma cruised to beat O Temple fifty one to three,
Arizona sixty one to thirty nine over in New Mexico,
maybe a more competitive game than they thought a team
at their wide receiver there are ten receptions, three hundred
yards and four touchdowns, a school record. Kansas cruises to
beat Lindenwood forty eight to three, MISSOO fifty one to
nothing over Missouri State.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Excuse me, Murray State and NC.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
State beats Western Carolina and second half pulling away there
to beat them thirty eight to twenty one. In Utah,
cam rising back for a seventh year over two and
fifty yards, passing five touchdowns forty nine to nothing over
Southern Utah, and we already know what happened in Ireland.
Speaker 7 (07:25):
Don't need to recap that.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
There it is.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
That's how it's done. Put that in your recap pipe
and smoke it everybody. That's how it's done. That's a
week one recap.
Speaker 7 (07:36):
That is a recap now.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Hell yeah, yeah, oh yeah, now I do. Because you
had some boots on the ground in Morgantown. What the
hell was that?
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Seem like.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
That was one of the coolest college atmospheres I have
ever been a part of. I mean, the people there
in Morgantown said there wasn't as much hype around this,
you know season, and really this team since going back
to the GINO Smith Tavon, Austin Bruce Irving Tavon and
Bruce and you know both were able to come onto
(08:11):
the set.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Gino's too busy getting ready for the season.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
But you know, you got a sense for the excitement
that they have because of how they finished the season.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
And it was a surprising season.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Last year, I think West Virginia was slated to it
they I don't know if it was finished last but
you know, everyone thought that they would play poor last year,
Neil Brown would get fired, and they turn around have
a nine one season, they really surprised a lot of
folks and build up this optimism. I got to be honest, though,
when I was watching the tape towards the end of
the year, when I turned on the videotape, I was like,
(08:43):
they're kind of playing some poor opponents. I really wasn't
high on this team. Was more curious to see what
they'd look like. They lost some pieces, in particular Zach Frazier.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Who moved on to the NFL level.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
I just wasn't sure what to expect, and going based
off last year's game versus Penn State, you know, they
they weren't able to stop Drew Aller, and same thing
showed out this year. All the a few big, you know,
big TV passes that the storyline was more of the
offense of Penn State and what it would look like,
which we can get into that at some point, but
that atmosphere was.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
Incredible and they showed out for their team.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
And you know, as LeVar touched on, it was sloppy
for both teams, I think to start off, but then it,
you know, slowly Penn State started to pull away just
with some big plays, which was something that you know,
you didn't see a lot from Penn State. I think
they had what two plays over fifty yards in this game,
which was they had like six all last year. It
was just like in the first half. So it was
pretty remarkable to see how a coach can kind of
(09:41):
transform your perception of a team and help out a
player who's got a lot of ability but maybe hasn't
showed it quite as much. That was on display. But
Morgantown was incredible. I mean the MGK concert and everything
else that we had kind of going on there was
unlike any venue we've ever been to. Two date, it
was that crazy, and there's people everywhere everywhere around the stadium,
(10:05):
in the parking lot, tail and just everything. The set
it was absolutely nuts.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
What was the delay like, Well, that was there was
a lot to it. So I'll take you behind the scenes.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
So our set that's down in the stadium, it's small
and it actually collapses and then rolls. So once we
get done, we jump off as fast as possible, they
collapse it and roll it away, so none of the
players potentially get hurt since you're.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
Usually in one of the end zones.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Well, right before we come on, a half liner was
standing under it to get in the shade.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Because it was so hot and he was sweating profusely.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
So I stand more closer to the field, realizing at
some point they're gonna, you know, pump this thing and
it's gonna expand up and then and they're gonna roll
it back into.
Speaker 5 (10:54):
Place closer to the field. Well, Liner doesn't see it.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
I guess they didn't have any pocket presence here, and
the top of the set actually hit him in the
forehead and so he dashes his forehead.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
So he's bleeding. We're trying to find a.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Cutman on the sideline and meanwhile he's like, I'm not
gonna come on areas I'm bleeding, and they're like, yeah,
probably probably shouldn't. So as we jump on set, they go, hey,
we're probably gonna either stay here. But after we're done,
we got to run to the outside set. There's lightning,
which when you're like, all right, there's a storm rolling in,
why would we go to the outside set.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Everyone keeps reassuring.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Us that it's grounded and that we will not get
struck by lightning or anything.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Else for that matter.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
The problem was, as this storm rolled in when we
were outside, is the wind I mean we had all
sorts of stuff that was being like pulled up off
the ground. Like I honestly thought I was gonna getting
pailed by a pop up tent.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
It was that crazy. It was that wild.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
And at one point, like you could kind of see
from the clip that went viral, like we I looked
over at urban and I looked at the weather, and
I was like, man, I said, Herbs, that looks like
it's like a tornado, you know, cloud, like a funnel cloud.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
Then he just looks at me and shook his head
and finally summoned at LA.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
He's probably sitting back on a nice, warm, sunny day
and just perfect weather. It's like, huh, that looks pretty bad.
Maybe should have the guys go inside. So that eventually
took place, but it was a good like thirty minutes
of trying to figure out how the hell we're gonna.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Have to broadcast something through that. But the house lioner, now, yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
They actually were like thedn't stitch them up. I don't
know if he ended up having a his stitches or not.
It was a pretty decent little gash, but they ended
up taping him up and like had to like put
make him stuff over.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
It was still bleeding through though.
Speaker 7 (12:39):
Dang, that's crazy, that's crazy. I wish they would have
had you on though.
Speaker 6 (12:43):
I'll tell you that I was trying to stick in there,
but I had to switch up, man, I had to, that.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Was the case.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
My wife might have been collecting insurance policy at this point.
Speaker 6 (12:52):
So well, I'm glad you're sake, Bro, But for the
sake of us sports fans, it would have been nice
to hear y'all during the delay.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
I mean, you saw the It looked like behind us
that I.
Speaker 6 (13:02):
Was getting to play by play the whole time too.
Speaker 7 (13:04):
I was, I would leave.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
I was at least two of my former teammates wing
man by FaceTime, if you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
So, yeah, it was interesting. I texted Brady because I
saw it.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
I'm a weather nerd to begin with, and I saw
the clouds in the sky behind. I was like, that
is the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life. Like,
I wish I was there.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
I'm glad you thought that was too, I am.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
They go, oh, they'll be courtsized, hail coming down me
what And then usually they've they've got these curtains almost
that they'd pull if there's rain, so you're not getting
everything not gonna be dumped on.
Speaker 5 (13:36):
And I looked over and the guys like trying to
put it on.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
They're like, no, no, you can't go. There's there's lightning
as like.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
So then that was an issue because at some point
if it did rain, we probably would have gotten the
cameras and everything. I was absolutely soaked, so it was
which it did. Fortunately we were inside right before it started.
And then this week you're an arbor. Correct, that's right,
Michigan Texas. Uh a huge game, huge in college football. Yeah,
that's a fun one, and it may be another performing act.
(14:05):
I won't disclose anything. That's still finalizing some things, but
maybe another performer.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Oh sweet, Yeah, maybe John Paul Morosio swing by Ann Arburn.
He should, yeah, he should cruise on Buy and Sallo.
It is two pros and a cup of Joe. Here

(14:52):

takes a turn.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
We'll get into that for you right here on FSR.

Fox Sports Radio, LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with
you here coming up a little over twenty minutes from
now here from the tire rack dot Com Studios. The
goat is still the goat. We've got the proof, We've
got the numbers. That's yours a little over twenty minutes
from now here on FSR. So you know, we were
I mean, I didn't want to do this, but you
(16:01):
guys were just all in on the brand and I
you conversation when it came to whether or not he
was going to get the contract done, Like I was
not into that. You guys kind of ran it into
the ground, but I just kind of went along for
the ride. We also had the other discussions about players
needing contracts and trying to get deals done and who's
going to get paid next, and now you know Jamar Chase.
(16:24):
Apparently they're trying to intensify their efforts to get a
deal done with Jamar Chase, but he misses practice yet again.
And I would just like to tell everybody you got
more time than you realize to get this deal done.
Because the Bengals season doesn't start for a little under
two weeks. Until that time, just wait this out and
(16:46):
try and play hardball a little bit, and then we'll
see where we're at when it comes to why is
that to start for two weeks? Well, they got the
Patriots this week. That's a buye, so you don't need
them for that. And then you've got Kancis respect Well,
I'm just saying, you got Kansas City after that. They're
not going to need They're not going to need him
to beat the Patriots.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
They'll need him to beat the Chiefs. We've got time.
Speaker 6 (17:08):
Yeah, you got all the time in the World's guess,
all the time in the world.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
I get news for you could roll out Chevy Chase
and they could beat the Patriots. All right, everything's gonna
be fine. Okay, they got more time than they need.
Play a little hard ball if you want to get
this deal done on the side of the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
That's how this works, heartball. Okay, Yeah, that's how this works.
Speaker 7 (17:29):
How long you guys think this drags out, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
I just wish like teams could figure this stuff out.
I hate talking about it this time of the year,
because this is the stuff. Like, not to make an analogy,
but I guess I was thinking about it with college football.
You know, everyone's at the inn io. Oh, the transfer
portal realignment, Oh my gosh. Like once the game's start,
you don't talk about that stuff anymore. Really, it's it's
(17:55):
not really part of the conversation with the NFL.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
It's like, dude, do your business in the office season.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
Once the season gets here, just set like a hard
line and go, here's our offer, here's our deal.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
You don't want it.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
We're not going to get negotiated either. We'll talk about
this at the end of the season. Let's focus on
football and move forward. I hate when this stuff drags
in the season because it brings down the whole feeling
of the team or even like the capabilities of what
the Bengals could be.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
So I know Jonas roots for it.
Speaker 7 (18:24):
I hate this stuff. Hmm, Jonas.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
I mean I just look at it and say, if
Mike Brown, the owner, comes out and says earlier this offseason, well,
the die has already been cast on having those conversations.
Now that's something more for the offseason. And yet here
we are and one of their best players still isn't
under contract. It does feel like this maybe took a turn.
(18:47):
I don't know if the Bengals expected it to take
this turn, but it does feel like while they're saying
talks have intensified and efforts have intensified to try and
get this deal done, you did have a significant amount
of time to try and get this steal done. And
I just wonder whether or not they thought that there
was really a chance that he was going to let
this bleed out this far into the offseason, potentially into
(19:09):
the season. I just wonder if they kind of misjudged
how serious Jamar Chase was about sitting out until he
got his deal done.
Speaker 6 (19:16):
Well, he's sitting in And it's interesting because the more
this intensifies, as as you stated it, you gotta assume
the more uncomfortable it gets. You know, he's there. It's
not like he's removed himself. He's walking around in street
clothes and the practices he's I mean, he's there, he's
(19:39):
in the meetings, he's he's there. He's just not practicing.
So how uncomfortable does that get that the guy that
you see is arguably, I mean, he's at least your
top two player on the team and he's not in uniform.
How how do you handle that? How do you handle
it as an organization? How do you handle it as
(20:01):
a team? And I think that in these scenarios, the
further along you get and you don't handle the situation
definitively one way or the other. Like my whole thing is,
if you're going to drag it out and you have
no intentions of doing the deal, then for the sake
(20:24):
of your team and your organization, you had better disclose that.
Speaker 7 (20:28):
You need to say it.
Speaker 6 (20:30):
Like we said that we'll do this deal with Jamar
next year or whatever the appropriate time is to do
the deal. The one thing I don't really like about
these situations is how how like you know, it's just
not it's not defined or there's no like, this is
where the season is, this is what we got going on,
(20:51):
and we're moving on. We're moving on. Like if Jamar
Chase does not want to play under the current contract
that he has, then that's the decision that he has
to make. And if you're going to continue to negotiate,
then let it be made that you're negotiating and and
get it done, because you're going to get it done
(21:13):
at a certain point time. So what makes it better
from then to now getting it done?
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Do you prefer the Jets handling of it, where Joe
Douglas comes out and says, listen, we're not going to negotiate.
We don't want to set a precedent. When he gets here,
then we'll have a discussion about this contract trying we
work rework it that way.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
It feels like it's not an apples to apples comparison.
Though you've had Jamar Chase, you drafted Jamar Chase.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
It's like this is entirely different.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
You can't use Joe Douglas as an example of that
and compare it to this. Why not, They're just they're
not the same.
Speaker 6 (21:47):
I mean, but they at I get where you're both
coming from.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
But at least there's some transparency to it. Although here's
the part that I find maybe they're in like a
prepare us.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
I think what Q's saying is is correct, though. I mean,
this is a guy who clearly again has established himself
as the number one, number two player overall on your team,
on your roster. So if he's done that under his
rookie contract and the other guy he's done it under
his rookie contract. Well one of the guys has a
(22:18):
new contract, right, doesn't one of them? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (22:22):
Right?
Speaker 6 (22:23):
So to me, if I'm Jamar Chase, I want to
have my contract read that. Now, with that being said again,
I think there should be some transparency. If you're planning
on doing the deal, then say it. Say it so
the team knows it and for what it's worth. I
would say it so that your your fan base knows it.
(22:46):
If you're not going to do it, then say it
so that both know so that they can move on
with the expectations of we got to try to figure
this out without Jamar. We got to try to figure
it out until they get it done with Jama. But
if you're going to get it done with him, why
would you drag it out? That's the bigger that to me,
that's the bigger question because dragging it out it just
(23:09):
becomes more intensified because now there are more contracts that
are done, there are more comps. So why would you
drag it out if your intentions were to do the
deal anyway, If you're going to drag it out this long,
what is it for? Like I don't know the tax
ramifications or anything like that, or if there even are
any you know, I know you might know it better
(23:30):
than I would Q, But if you're going to have
to eventually pay this man the money that you're going
to pay him in the next upcoming days, why would
you not have gotten that done already? Right, That's what's
mind blowing. Like, that's kind of mystifying to me.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
To your point, we know it's going to be cheaper
the earlier you do it. I mean, if you wait
another year from now, you potentially put yourself at risk
of waiting for another wide receiver to sign a deal
that's going to be higher.
Speaker 5 (23:58):
I mean all those things.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
He has another great season, it makes the case for
me he should now surpass Justin Jefferson. We know if
you wait, it only gets more expensive. It's not going
to get cheaper, all right. The wide receivers aren't like
the running back market. We're gonna start paying them less
over time because of how the game is adapting and changing.
So we know it's going to cost more in the future.
(24:20):
If you have the ability to do it right now,
do it. I just think the thing that stands out
to me about the Jamar Chase situation. And I think
this comes from Albert Breers reporting on Brand and Ayuk.
I don't know if you guys saw this, but he
had a very long, detailed list of everything, like the
timeline of how it all worked out. And I think
it was Adam Schefter who reported that the deal didn't
(24:42):
change and all this stuff, and Brendan and Ayuk's agent
it went back at him and said that's not true.
It's you know, and bad source.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Whatever he said.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
But it detailed from the summertime what the offer was,
and then when they came back to camp the various
suitors and what they're trade compensation was. And Pittsburgh had
arguably one of the more competitive offers from a trade standpoint.
But the problem was, and this is what we all
you know, figured is the contract was the lowest. The
(25:14):
average annual value was like twenty seven million, and meanwhile
San Francisco had upped it to thirty And I want
to say there was a team in there. Maybe it
was Washington that actually offered above thirty million average annual
value per year, but they ended up making it, making
it work with San Francisco.
Speaker 6 (25:35):
Fort I thought Cleveland offered him the most.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
Maybe it was Cleveland, but I thought there was two
that were also right around thirty and then maybe both
maybe north of that, so it might have been in.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
Cleveland and then Washington as well that were in the
mix for that.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
But the general point is is some of these teams
they don't have the capital to be able to pay
a star player like this and make this sort of transaction. Now,
Cincinnati is unfortunately one of those teams. They've got to
draft well and hit on their draft picks and hold
on for dear life and try to keep it all together.
(26:10):
Unless there's gonna be an infusion of capital from private equity,
they are not going to be able to throw around
a ton of cash. I mean they are selling at
this very moment used TVs in the stadium for thirty, forty,
fifty and sixty dollars a pop.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (26:30):
If you live in Cincinnati, go to pay Course Stadium, folks,
go in the Bengals website. You will find the used
TVs in that stadium for sale. And it starts from
the smaller size at thirty bucks and their biggest at
sixty bucks. I can I promise and could tell you
that right now. All right, maybe that money goes to
Jamar Chase. All right, maybe that's why it was signing
(26:51):
bonus for the six stenches. I don't know, I'm not
sure how many damn fun I'm just saying, and right.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Now you can find I'm looking at the pay scale
of by inch on the TVs here.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
This is brilliant.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
So really you're I mean, when's the last time the
forty nine ers were like, you know, we've got to
sell off the TVs rail little revenue. We're just liquid
eight yeah, to give it a TVs.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
I've got a bone to pick here though, with this
structure that they have on the TV pricing, and who
knows if there's any leftover this from July. But so
twenty four to thirty nine inches is thirty dollars, forty
to forty nine is forty dollars, fifty to fifty five
is fifty, and then fifty six to eighty five is sixty.
Hold on a second, that's a big it's a wide
(27:39):
range from fifty six to eighty five, Like, can we
like narrow that down? Like I'm not paying the same
for a fifty seven inch TV that some guy's paying
for an eighty four inch TV I'm not doing it.
So if anybody bought that, apologies, you got the shaft.
But apparently it wasn't enough to get Jamar Chase the contract. Look,
I threw it out last week, Skyline, gold Star, whatever
(28:00):
it is, Chili for Chase, get it started. Have tip
jars on the counter when people go in there and
they can throw in a few bucks to try and
get Jamar Chase's contract to try and get this over
the edge. Like we've thrown out options on this show.
At least we're doing.
Speaker 6 (28:14):
Who do you guys think will feel worse today? Me
today or Jamar Chase?
Speaker 3 (28:21):
You?
Speaker 7 (28:22):
Yeah, think you're right? Yeah, thank you, thank you?
Speaker 1 (28:25):
What do you mean?
Speaker 7 (28:26):
What do you mean? What do I mean?
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Today's the day? Oh that's right.
Speaker 6 (28:30):
Hey, everybody, make sure you get out there. If you're
a guy at a certain age, make sure you're checking
yourself out. Man, stay stay healthy.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Right, So today's day when I mentioned chili, it reminded
you of.
Speaker 7 (28:43):
That, huh?
Speaker 8 (28:43):
It did?
Speaker 6 (28:44):
Because I'm hungry. You know, you can't eat. I have
an eight for twenty four hours.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
I forgot about that.
Speaker 5 (28:49):
He's hungry.
Speaker 7 (28:50):
I am.
Speaker 6 (28:51):
I'm very relaxed right now, you know, But seriously, guys,
make sure you go get yourself checked up. Man, is
that important? Make sure that you're operating correctly? Get your
oil checked. Definitely is.
Speaker 7 (29:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:08):
Also, I think I'm going to feel worse than Jamar
Chase though. I think I'm really going to hold you
guys to support me old today.
Speaker 7 (29:16):
By the way, it's just so work.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
What times the appointment one pm? Now you get a
little time.
Speaker 7 (29:23):
I'd rather get it over with.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
You know if they say the only thing worse than
an ass weapon is waiting for it to happen.
Speaker 6 (29:28):
Yeah, that's probably the worst part of it, because then
you realize, once you get your ass whipped, it's like, wow,
this really wasn't that bad.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
You know, he knows me better than anybody ever depends
on the ass weapon, doesn't it. Yeah, I guess just saying, man,
some of you ain't that battles well.
Speaker 6 (29:47):
I mean, you know, I'm thinking about moms. When when
I used to get spanked by my mom, it always
felt the waiting felt worse than what it was. Maybe
except for maybe once or twice, once or twice she
exceeded the expectation.
Speaker 7 (30:07):
It was bad. Yeah, yeah, well, we won't relive that.
I was a good kid for the most part.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Yeah, who knows that's allowed these days.
Speaker 7 (30:15):
Yeah, well, yeah that's true too.
Speaker 6 (30:17):
Be careful that sounds real foreign now, huh yeah, well
I'm damn near fifty. So if you want to go
back and try to get my mom and send you
outs and youth services on us, good luck there.
Speaker 1 (30:29):
Yeah yeah, think she'll be all right.
Speaker 2 (30:32):

Guys, it's been a long time.
Speaker 11 (32:55):
Good to hear you, guys, Good to see you guys, guys.
In case you missed this, Over the Weekendoe Chestnut and
Kobeyashi went and had to head on Netflix, same hot
dog eating contest that's usually held at Coney Island, same rules,
but they held it on Netflix, and this time Joey
(33:15):
Chestnut beat his old record of seventy six hot dogs
beat it went all the way to eighty three. Kobyashi
put down I think he what did Kobyashi put down?
He put down sixty seven and Joey Chestnut put down
eighty three. This time hosted by Rob Wriggle. They were
not allowed to dunk their hot dogs in water, either
(33:35):
the buns or the dogs.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Oh really, Oh yeah, that's even more impressive, right right.
Speaker 11 (33:39):
Well, he said he'd been training trying to hit eighty He.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Actually hit eighty three. Look at that, you met. Just
think about this.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
Kobayashi had sixty seven hot dogs in ten minutes and
wasn't close to winning. That is disgusting. What a disgusting job.
And you can't even dump them in water.
Speaker 5 (34:01):
How old is Kobayashi?
Speaker 2 (34:03):
I don't know, many like his intenstines are like one
hundred and five. At this point, it's like, I remember
how old forty six?
Speaker 1 (34:16):
How old is Joey Chestnut. He's in his thirties right,
like late thirty forties. He's forty.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
Okay, I was gonna say I thought Joey Chessnut had
him by a few years. But I don't even know
if that matters. I mean, do you think it matters?
Just does age matter for contest?
Speaker 2 (34:33):
We never And also one of the long term effects
of this stuff, like we have no there's no evidence
just that on anything with these guys are all like
case studies like all right, we'll see how it goes
and then whoever whoever comes after him, then you know,
then they'll know what it's going to look like on
the back end of this whole thing.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
It's nasty, man, so gross?
Speaker 11 (34:54):
What else we got, late, guys? Quite a year for
Scottie Scheffler. He's one of Green Jay Activable Masters.
Speaker 7 (35:01):
A gold medal jacket too.
Speaker 11 (35:04):
Yeah, that's right, he did first time aris what gold medal?
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Well.
Speaker 11 (35:12):
He's also added twenty five million dollars to the to
the year by winning the uh Fedix Cup tournament.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Sixty two Is that what it is this year?
Speaker 7 (35:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Sixty two points, which.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
Means this caddy has made what from that? His caddy's
made more this year than some professional golfers.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
What a caddies get? Ten percent? Or is that too?
I think?
Speaker 4 (35:33):
I think it could be completely wrong, but let's just
say that's the number.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
I bet you could look up on the earnings list.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
He's out earning a lot of really good golfers.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Sixty million dollars. Man, Oh, brother, and that's not with
endorsements and everything else.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Like he's at a hell of a rock and spend
time in the clank. Good for him. Good for Scotti
Scheffler LeVar And I've been trying to tell you about him,
Brady all year. For some reason, you just never wanted
to talk about it. And I don't get it. I really, Yeah,
you guys are big golf guys.
Speaker 4 (36:04):
I mean, Jonas, you grew up trying to dodge golf
balls out there in a thousand oaks.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
And then that's what you guys used to say.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
It's like, yeah, that's not trying, that's that's just not
it's just the golf carts that's.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
Scared completely disrespect. Is that a ch a club cart?
You got a club card over there?
Speaker 7 (36:25):
Cheery read.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
What else?
Speaker 11 (36:28):
Ted? Scott is his caddy and he's got about five
point two million dollars this.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
Year, Like caddy just for helping the dude get around
a golf course.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Man, what I want to use that that that that
pitch and wedge.
Speaker 12 (36:43):
Tell them bar, that's it man, That's that's the job.
Like like what five million for that?
Speaker 10 (36:55):
Bar?
Speaker 6 (36:56):
Like?
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Like what sort of valuable advice could he give Scotty
chef player.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
I mean he's you know, helping him with if you're
in between clubs, the wind, you know, help reaffirm what
he thinks, maybe talking him out of something.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Here's Scotty, here's your rangefinder. Yeah like what like what
you actually can't have those? But you know how to
use those.
Speaker 4 (37:16):
No, you're a lot of they have to do like
a lot of adding. It's actually more math intensive than
you think.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Your buddy at the golf tournament, I had one of those,
and I thought it was so cool.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
I got my brother that for his birthday that year.
Because your brother played golf, yeah he was back then.
Speaker 5 (37:32):
He doesn't play golf. It probably be a great gift.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
Pretty sweet though it's lining up and let her rip
something to.
Speaker 6 (37:39):
Be able to hit it that way, though, you know
the way you see it, that's the big that's the
big we have.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
We have his sound.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
By the way, Lee of the reporter asked of what
I would he shanked the one ball.
Speaker 5 (37:53):
Probably I looked at the cut sheets. I didn't see it.
I'm sure it's not there.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
But basically, basically, like because Scotti Scheffler had a bad
shot that we got off national television.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Some reporters like what happened there?
Speaker 4 (38:08):
He's like he went through the physics of how you
shank a golf ball, making that guy feel like a cloud.
But it's like, dude, like these guys never hit bad shots. Apparently,
like no professional athlete ever messes up. Apparently what else
we got lee, guys.
Speaker 11 (38:24):
In case you missed this, last week, it was revealed
that the upcoming Uck Canelo Alvarez fight, which is gonna
be fought in Saudi Arabia, is gonna be ninety dollars
on pay per view. But there's been an outcry and
they want to lower the price to less than twenty dollars.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
That's what if you've already paid the ninety that's the
Saudi's right who want to that's their plan, correct, And
because they think this will deter people from streaming illegally.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
I got news for you.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Twenty dollars for two dollars. If somebody can cut a
corner and get him for free, they're gonna try and
kind of corners twenty bucks all by it.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Jonas has done this all the time. I don't.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
I mean, I've got a buddy who literally lives near
a I don't know if the spring Hill sweets or
what it is, and he just walks over and goes
and gets a free breakfast. No one, no one ever
asks him if he's like a like like actually staying
in the hotel.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
All the time, like never, like it doesn't dawn on
who's asking for your room.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
The boy I thought about I was like this genius
you walk in, make it get one of those like
some toast or waffle or something.
Speaker 5 (39:33):
Yourself.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
You never thought of that. Now I have really definitely
gonna try that. Save a book if you can't wait
to rub it in the labar. Can't eat, by the way,
nice Joah, no eating
