conference that apparently nobody wants any part of. And we're

For you here in the morning.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah, did you actually think about the fact that this
is not American football music?

Speaker 4 (01:20):
I did aggressive, definitely not aggressed.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Well, it was just it's not what you'd hear it
at a football game.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
So they've never played this at a Miami Dolphin game,
you don't think.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
I all I know is in Miami. I think I
heard this song as I was dropping out of work
one time, because the stadium is right there. I happened
to hear it drug by tailgate.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Doing some work outside.

Speaker 3 (01:44):

did yesterday, you know, so we can get through this
as we get ready.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
For the Yeah, or hit you with a camera, you
know down there?

Speaker 1 (02:20):
What do you mean? Oh that's right. Yeah, you had
a nice little quarterback.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
So, oh that's right. Yeah I did.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
Yeah, I was the center, except they gave the ball back.
I didn't handle for a second.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
You just now got that done?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Why just now? What do you mean?

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Why just now?

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Those things? Those those things take time. You got a
schedule when I told y'all when I scheduled.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Hold on for a second. You need to text me
because I don't want to. I don't ask too many No, you.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
Can ask questions it everybody should. Everybody should do this.
I mean that at a certain age.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Oh okay, okay, I thought you were kind of vissected me.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
I was like, oh no, no, okay, I need to
do that too, though.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
See I'd assume that you already had that done.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
I should have just knocked that out right along with that.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Wait, so would you get your prostate check?

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Yes? Oh yes, I did.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
How that did.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Yes, you know, it's good. I mean, I'm healthy.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Nothing there does part of you wishually was there, just
to I feel like he'd be a good person when
you're going through a traumatic experience, because hey, man, your hand, Yeah,
I'd be like, hey, you're gonna be okay, man, Like
I'll get you like a cup of water or something.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Or maybe he should have through it with me.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
Maybe he should have been in the gurney next to me,
you know, and then that would great.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
I don't even need one, but I'm gonna get one, man,
just so we go through throw it together.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
What was the have you eaten yet? I'm assuming you've
eaten at this point.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
I did eat a little bit of like pool chicken
something like, not too much.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
I ain't really feel like eating, bro.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
So what's the first thing you're gonna get after as
soon as you feel.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
I don't feel really, you know, I've done nine day
cleanses like fast. Like it's like food isn't as crazy
to me, Like I don't need it as much as
I used to.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
It's like a mind thing.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
Once you've gone twenty four hours without eating food once
in your life, it kind of takes on a different
meaning to you. So I'm like, not even really, I
just drank a lot of gatorade yesterday. You know it's
Gatorade Day because a lot of everything that was going
in was coming straight out anyway.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
So that's the reason why I'm not with you.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Right now, And it's the reason why if you say
LeVar and I don't answer, that would be a reason why.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I mean, now, where are you doing the show from?
Like in a kiddie pool?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
I mean yeah, something like that, in a bathtub, something
like that.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
You went to Walgreens picked up kids pool on discount
after labor Day to do the show from. That's called commitment,
all right, right there, that's how it's done.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Yeah, So I'm here. I'm good.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
Like I said, the prognosis was good. They didn't have
to like clip me or anything, like, you know, no
polyps or anything.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
They said.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
It was just like a really really good looking area.
I was like, dang, thank you, all right, that's good.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
It looks good.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
You know, hey, man, people make sure you go get it.
Get yourself checked out, man, yeah, Man, get up in
there and check it out. Too many people, too many
people to too nervous to talk about it or too
nervous to do it. I was nervous. I got to
tell you guys, I was very nervous. That was very uneasy.
But I got through it. And you know for the better,
you know better for it. So make sure you go

(05:44):
out there and get your price state checked out. Man,
have a healthy prostate, you can have a healthy life.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
You know, there's a good point there. You go, yeah check.
Look we're joking, but definitely when.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I'm not, I'm just saying it away. That makes it
sounds like I'm Joe.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
I'm being there. Yeah, you get them cheeks checked out,
Get the cheeks checked out.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
I'd spread the cheeks. Let someone check it out.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
Well, they roll you to the side. I don't even
remember them spiriting them.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
You know it was like that. Well, actually every time
I went to Lancing. You know, I've always said to you,
they don't moon you. They spread the cheeks. It is
a different type of mood. That's a nasty place, nasty
place that well, at.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Least they know how to put that extra stink on it,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
I mean, I'll be honest, like I respect it. I
was like, all right, that's different. You don't see that
you don't see that in West la Fayette. You don't
see that nan Arbor, only East Lancing.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Dang, Well you see it in Philly though different. You
see everything.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
I got bad respect for the Philly fans.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Yeah, that's a different type of deal right there.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
I'll tell you what Boston too. I'll never forget. We
were playing BC and I can't even say what one
of the kids said to our quarterback coach, an offensive
coordinator at the time. He was shock. He literally looked
at his shoes. He guys, what's wrong with these? I
was like, you're good, coach, just don't listen to it.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Hey, well, you know somebody who needs to check their
bank account.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Let's see.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
Let's see how you press this one up. Let's see
how you Oh, not their press they.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Are Yeah, Trent Williams, Yeah, Trent Williams, go check.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
A bank getting up there in age. He needs to
check his.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Price too, Yeah, but not quite yet.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
You know. He enjoy that cash that he just got.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
He's got a couple more years of that. So the
numbers are in. It's looking like from what I've seen,
three years eighty two point six six million, forty eight
million at signing a twenty five point six nine million
dollars signing bonus. Uh Trent Williams is back with the
San Francisco forty nine ers, and he spoke about getting

(07:59):
the deal done yesterday.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
You know, like I said, it's interestate.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
You know, I was under contract until I'm thirty eight,
so it's hard to ask somebody to guarantee, you know,
eight figure salary when I'm thirty eight. And I get that,
and I feel like, in my heart of hearts, I'll
be the same player, you know, And I feel like
I worked hard enough that I can can't keep that

(08:22):
brand of football the same. But I understand, you know,
I've been around long enough to where I get both
sides of it. So I didn't take that as disrespect,
you know, but that was one of the key points,
is like y'all was under contract until I was thirty eight,
so you know, it's just hard to tell somebody, Hey,
you know, they ain't never seen it before. I mean,

(08:42):
we've seen people play it that ag. We've never seen
people play and be the best at they position. It's
not a quarterback, so I get it. And that's to me,
it's just more logs in the fire to kind of
prove that I can be something that we haven't seen before.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Best alignment in football maybe gets paid.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
I like the way he handled it too, to be honest,
I mean, be be forward and up you know, upright,
b be transparent about it, like you guys went through
the you know, I wish most I wish most you know,
parties could handle negotiations like this. You know, I get
why we had to stay out, you know, and take

(09:23):
this time to do it. I get while we're here,
I understand what the scenario is. I look at my age.
I understand these things. But I still feel like this
is my value and this is my worth. And he
had the choice to make do I do I give
in and come in and come back and play knowing
that this is it takes me through thirty eight and

(09:45):
this is the situation. Or do I continue to hold
out for the value that I'm seeking and the restructuring. So,
I mean, good for him, good for for the Niners.
And maybe that's why we didn't hear a whole lot
about it. Maybe that's why it wasn't a very dramatic thing,
because you know what, we didn't hear very much from

(10:06):
Trent Williams and in his side when all of this
was going on, there wasn't complaining, there wasn't demanding a trade.
There wasn't anything like that that was taking place that.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
I know of.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
So just maybe this is how when you want to
restructure or you want a different contract, maybe this is,
you know, one of those times you put that into
the notebook and say, you know, this is the proper
approach to trying to go through a difficult time when
it's all about the financials, without it turning into a
thing you know in the media.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
I think there's a couple things that stand out to
me about this. The first is and LaVar, I think
you've talked about this before. He's been through this before
in Washington.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I believe, yes, yes.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Yeah, So I think when you've got experience going through it,
it's like having a kid the second time versus the
first time. When you have a kid the first time,
like you don't know what, you don't know. There's a
lot of things that can scare you, and you know
you're going through it and it's awesome and it's crazy,
it's special, but it's stressful and there's more emotions involved.
The second time, you're like, oh, we've been through this before.

(11:10):
You kind of know what to expect, and so to me,
there's not I don't want to take away from the
birth of a child saying there's not as much emotions
to it. You're you're happy, you're excited, You're kind of
nervous or anxious in some ways. But there is an
element of I guess fear or trepidation that's taken out
of it because you've got the experience, and I think

(11:31):
that's a little bit of part of it here too.
So he knows how to handle it and he knows
how this whole thing's going to go. He's the best
tackle in football, and I think we'd all agree it's
a violent sport and he is at the point of attack.
So to go into the final three years of his
career playing football and to not have a contract that

(11:53):
suits him in regards to what he's being compensated and
guarantees within it, he might have an injury that caused
him to never play again. And if that's the case,
like you better be going out there a week in
and week out and feeling good about everything, in particular
the contract that you are playing for and what you're

(12:15):
being paid So this is the one contract, the one
contract this offseason that got restructured or an extension or
this is the one to me that made the most
sense because I kept looking at it, going well, that
needs to get done. I mean, if this team wants

(12:35):
to have a shot at getting back to a super
Bowl and winning a super Bowl, it needs to be restructured.
He's got some guarantees on there, and if you want
to up him and pay a little bit too, which
I think he's making about five million more than he
was scheduled to make under the previous deal or under
the previous contract until they restructured this, which should cover

(12:56):
the fines et cetera that I guess he's still going
to incur. Sometimes teams can kind of wipe that stuff away.
But I digress. The point is is between his age,
his play, and everything else, like, this was the contract
that needed to get done that made the most sense.
So it's unfortunately not to hold out into the season
like Joonas wants, but here we are.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
That's too bad. But this is the one I had
least confidence in. I just thought they were going to
get this done either way. You like, you know, there
was no when you heard them talk about it, there
was no real concern, like, there was no outward frustration.
It seemed like from John Lynch at times it was
just like, yeah, we love the guy, and you just
figured they were going to get this done. And I
think I saw somewhere even in his age, he had

(13:37):
the best past block rate percentage in the NFL. So
there's still what him Laramie Tunsil, and that's it correct
near the top as far as tackles go, and your
guys's mind, as far as best tackles in the league,
it feels at the top.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
Of my head. I don't know, I'd have to look.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Well, if Tyron Smith is healthy, I mean usually he's
he's right at the top too. There's a number of
tackles you could throw it into the conversation.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
But yeah, one one last bite at the apple form
at his age. Good for him, man, and good for
good for the Niners. Unfortunately, I believe in Super Bowl hangover.
So maybe that's a prelude into into what our season
picks are going to look like tomorrow. So that's that's
the way I see it. But they do get the
deal done, and look, I mean, I know you guys
like want to get here, and you want to get

(14:21):
to this point, so we may as well get to
this point. Brandon Ayuk also spoke about getting his contract done.
Now again, this is not me. I just want to
be clear with this. I have moved on. I've moved
past this Brandon Ayuk stuff, but apparently people are still
here holding on to the storylines of last week and
the previous week before that and the previous month before that.

(14:44):
So Brandon Ayuk spoke also about his contract negotiations with
the Niners, and he took a little bit of ownership
on how things went.

Speaker 7 (14:51):
I think I'm not gonna lie I made a little
bit more difficult than it needed to at the end,
but yeah, it was. I mean it was like that
from from I'm not gonna say the whole entire time,
but for about the past month, I think we were
pretty good.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
See, so we're all good here. We're all good with
Brandon Ayuk and the forty nine ers. So now can
we focus on the season. You guys ready to just
focus on the Niner season or you want to like
lay in bed with this story for another week or so?

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Is this your counseling session?

Speaker 1 (15:19):
I'm good I'm good. Listen, don't worry about me. I'm good.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Did you get part of that contract for Brendan and
I you?

Speaker 1 (15:27):
I wish No, that is not the case.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
I'm just you know, want to make sure that we
have tied up all the loose ends on this forty
nine er offseason of It is kind of interesting though
that the Niners seemingly have this pop up every single year,
like who's on the books next year that's going to
want a contract that we're going to freak out in
the off season and then right before the season starts
to get the deal done.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
In San fran.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
It'll be probably someone on defense. But so they've restructured
Trent Williams, they signed Brendan I you to extension, They
signed McCaffrey or restructured his deal. Deebo Samuel flew into
the radar. They restructured his contract.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Yes they did.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
When's brock Perdy do is next? Okay?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
All right, So that's what that'll be with that Deally,
by the way, that one's going to start some comments
and controversy because people are going to look at him
and go, well, anybody could do it. In Channahan system,
it's like Okay, all right, so we're going.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
To do the whole DAC.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
But here's the thing is, you can be real about
the conversation, like you can be real about it and say,
like brock Purty is probably going to sign a deal
and gets some paid more than Patrick Mahomes. Let's just
be real about that. And I think we can all
agree He's not better than Patrick Mahomes. He's not better
than Lamar Jackson. He's not better than Josh Allen. He's
not better than Joe Burrow. You can start to go

(16:41):
down a list of quarterbacks and you could sit there
and say, definitively, he's not better than these players, but
he's going to get a contract that pays him more
than that. So I understand why the conversation happens. But
this is part of the business. And then if the
forty nine ers believe he's their guy, that's the going
rate at that position. And that's how it works.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
I mean, just the final point of it from me.
If if any and everybody could do it, then Trey
Lance would been the starter and Trey Lance would still
be in San fran I mean, I just.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Feel like the way it all played out, they they.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Still gave him an opportunity when he came back from
his injury, he still got an opportunity. They saw brock
Perdy as their guy, and they stood. They stuck with that. So,
you know, to say that he wouldn't be deserving of it.
He did have to beat out a draft pick to
be able to be in a position that he's in

(17:39):
right now. So it wasn't like it was just an
easy sailing, Oh I'm in Kyle Shanahan's offense, I'm good
to go. He really did have have circumstances that had
to play out for him to even have the opportunity
to be able to show his whears on the field.
So it definitely wouldn't come as an unearned opportunity or

(18:01):
unearned contract for brock Purty to continue to lead the team.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
He has held the position.

Speaker 5 (18:07):
I mean, look, your boy Rush took over in Dallas
and I was like, yeah, look at that, Look at.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
What he's going, Look look at what he's got going
on right.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
That that that was very short lived, so it could
have been short filed Rush.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
That felt the Rush. Yeah, I did feel the.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Listen to Rush back when you're in college, Yeah, of course, yeah,
of course. Yeah. Anyways, we had some Rush on Run.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
There's a good though.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
We should come back to Rush.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
There's a good electronica song called as the Rush Comes
God who is a DJ is a tiesto? Yeah, rapper
radio is yeah on top of it.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
He spoke with with GQ Sports recently and he just
talked about folks.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
No GQ.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
He by the way, there's a GT Sports, So there's
GQ and GQ Sports now.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
I guess I don't know.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
I mean, it's like DMZ. That's a.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Nice shoes though. But he spoke, he spoke.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
He spoke with GQ Sports recently, and you know, just
talked about his mental space. He was not in a
great mental space at the end of last year. But
then got specific about just what happened in Buffalo as
far as a game plan. Standpoint went and said, quote,
the games looked a lot different, did dig sat of
the final thirteen weeks of the season. You can blame me.
I don't mind blaming me. I got big ass shoulders.

(21:18):
But pay attention, pay real close attention. Watch the game.
Of course, there's plenty of plays on my back, but
there's a lot of plays that didn't go my way.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
I need a lot of things to go my way
to get the ball.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
You can't roll out of bed and get eight hundred
yards in the first eight games. Your best receiver is
doing that. You tell me about the last ten what changed?
Were there changes going on? I just pay attention to
what really happened and not what people try to act
like happen like for the last ten games, I forgot
how to fing play football when talking about his Hall
of Fame bid quote, I pay real close attention.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
This bleep is not a game to me.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
End quote.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
So kind of started to take responsibility and then sort
of push off. You know, I'm not sure I want
this anymore, So let me go ahead and push it
off and be honest about how things went. And maybe
now it makes sense why they swallowed as much money
as they did just to move on from him and
just focus on this year without him.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
All right, But at that time of here, folks, it
is time for a fact check.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
We don't just do it in politics, we do it
in sports too. Here's what we got, Johnson Stefan Diggs
is right. From Week nine on last season, obviously his
yardage total was down, but it was also his targets
were down significantly. In fact, if you look at the
first eight games, there was six different games he was

(22:39):
targeted double digits or more. From Week nine to week
seventeen he was only targeted twice. That's eleven times too,
and back to back weeks Week twelve, Week thirteen versus
Philly and Kansas City eleven times. But he never went
over one hundred yards receiving the rest of the season,

(23:03):
and that includes the playoffs. And this is after going
over one hundred yards for four straight weeks, really five
out of six to start the season.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
How far off was he?

Speaker 3 (23:15):
How far off was who?

Speaker 4 (23:16):
How far off was he on those hundred yards? Like
in those games?

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Was he significantly? In fact, the only game that he
really got close to one hundred yards would have been
a Week nine at Cincinnati had eighty six, and then
a week seventeen at Miami he had eighty seven. I
mean there were weeks where he didn't even go over
fifty yards receiving.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Is it attributed to the targets? Is attributed to Yeah?
I mean, I mean Kansas City year.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
You know, Kansas City obvious had a good game plan
against if you remember the Week thirteen matchup. Last year's
tight game. Case won in case twenty seventeen. But they
did a good job against him, and he was targeting
about eleven times when he had four catches for twenty
four yards. And look, here's here's what we don't know.
Ken Dorsey was the offensive coordinator. He was dismissed. They

(24:05):
bring in Joe Brady. Joe Brady then takes over. You know,
we don't know if Joe Brady looked at this offense
and said, Hey, I'm gonna try to spread the football round.
You know it's Stephan. You know, we've been trying to
get you the football down the field. We're gonna try
to get the ball in your hands quicker or in
some case we're gonna highlight some other pieces. You don't
know what the philosophy was, but I think the writing's

(24:26):
on the wall. It was a disconnect between Ken Dorsey
and how he viewed Stepan Diggs and Joe Brady. And
the one thing I will say to you about Ken
Dorsey that I know for a fact is you know,
he came out of Miami and during his time Miami,
he was coached by a guy nam Rod Chazinsky, Rob Chazinsky,

(24:47):
and up being my offensive coordinator for the first two
years in Cleveland. Brilliant offensive mine. I love Chud to
this day, really really great scheme and play caller, and
Ken was a part of our team those two years.
And one of the things that Chud would always preaches
think playmakers, not plays, because a guy like Kellen Winslow,

(25:09):
a guy like Brelan Edwards will go up and make
it play regardless of what the coverage is, regardless of
what Just think playmakers. And if you look at the
first eight weeks of Buffalo last year, Ken Dorsey's calling
those games and probably coaching Josh Allen with that exact
thought of mind, think playmakers, not plays, because Diggs was

(25:30):
targeted significantly more than after that point in a week
nine moving forward. So it is a bit interesting to
think about whether it's Sean McDermott's call, who knows how
involved he gets in the offense, or Joe Brady, but
it does feel like there's a disconnect there. For sure.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Did the team do how did they finish out?

Speaker 1 (25:50):
That was gonna be my point. They were better?

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Better?

Speaker 5 (25:53):
Okay, So if they were better, then that's why obviously
you feel comfortable getting rid of them.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
But well, let me put it this way, because that's
not technically true. The first four weeks they were actually
one in three, So it wasn't until how they finished
the season winning five straight where they improved. But initially,
when he talks about the dissneck between week eight to
week nine, they were they actually struggled mightily?

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Did they? Did they?

Speaker 5 (26:21):
And and any estimation did they benefit from Stefan Diggs
being on the field as almost like a decoy? Does
does it make because if if you're you're like, okay,
we can get we can have success. We don't have
to target them, we can get rid of them. Do
you lose the element that you had being able to

(26:42):
target the other players that you were targeting using the
other players you were using because you had the benefit
of the defense? Is still game planning Stefon Diggs and
now you don't have that this year?

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Is that?

Speaker 5 (26:54):
Is it safe to say that that's a possibility of
of how this plays out?

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Maybe if looking at the snap percentage and I kind
of do the math here in order to get this done,
but his average offensive snap percentage was higher. I think
looking over these stats that's probably not by a ton,
but it does look like it was higher because there
was weeks like in fourteen and fifteen where he played

(27:20):
forty six percent of the snaps, sixty percent of the snaps.
He didn't play less than sixty six percent of the
snaps four any one game in the first eight weeks.
So it does seem like there's even times when he
wasn't even on the field as much.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
And also it felt like they were going like there
was a little bit more of a thought to give
Gabe Davis opportunities. Khalil Shakir had a big game, a
couple of big games there, Dalton Kincaid started to come alive.
It just like I wonder though, this if if based
on what they have to fork up, like thirty five

(27:54):
million dollars they had to eat to get rid of
him this year going into the final year of his deal,
Like how ad was it behind the scenes? That if
it's all about playmakers and not plays and you're you're
looking at a guy who's got the talent and the
ability that he is, because like when he talks about
the Hall of Fame, like he's got a shot, Like
there's a chance he could be a Hall of Fame player.

(28:14):
How do you not make that work? Like he got
one year left, it's going to be cheaper theoretically than
it to keep him that it would be to part
with him, Like how bad must it have been to
where they just had to get rid of it? Like
and Pete Prisco's made the point a couple of times
addition by subtraction, but damn, he's a good player. And

(28:34):
Gave Davis is gone, like like they're looking for pieces there.
That's why they draft a key on Coleman. I just
wonder what the hell went wrong behind the scenes that
they couldn't make that work at least one.

Speaker 5 (28:46):
More year you had the locker room. If you ask me,
that's it had to be him poisoning the like his
way may have been a turnoff because it's come out
in the media at times. I know Stephan Diggs personally,
he's not a bad dude at all.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
He's a cool dude to be around.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
If you know him, he's like super cool cat, the
whole family, super cool people. So I don't I would
say he's very passionate about what he does. And I
came across and and his quote, he's very passionate. He
cares about his you know, his reputation, He cares about
his performances, He cares, he cares a ton about what

(29:30):
what goes on and how it plays out. So I
would think that because he has such it's it's almost
like and I'll say it's not a very it's it's
not a complete comparison. I won't say it's a comparison,
but what I will say is is it could be
something like what happened with what was what was the
receiver that went to Arizona from from Houston DeAndre Houphous, Right,

(29:53):
it could be a situation where he's disgruntled. You know,
speaking of Diggs, he was discrict funnel based upon what
his targets were and his involvement in the offense. But
his influence over the locker room is significant. It's significant.
So if you have discarnel and you have significant influence

(30:14):
in the locker room, that's a horrible combination if you're
a coach.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
Right, and just go I.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Was gonna say, just to get the timing right of
when everything transpired, because you know, for Digs, he talks
about week eight and then after week eight. The change
didn't happen from offensive coordinator until after their tenth game
of the season. So after week ten, which they did
to Jonas's point earlier, they improved with the change to

(30:41):
Joe Brady. You know how much of that honestly had
to do with the you know, changing coordinator and all
that maybe that's what you attributed to. I don't know,
but if you started tracking them from week eleven moving forward, yes,
they lost one game the rest of the season. However, Digs,
for whatever reason, seems to be pointing to week eight,
which is where he can see his you know, targets

(31:04):
everything else dropped significantly.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Which he was upset the year before. Wasn't he like
he was upset going out of the year before. So
I don't do we pinpoint it and say it's because
they got rid of one coordinator and brought in a
new one. Because he was he was bothered leaving the playoffs,
you know, wasn't that was or was that the year before?

Speaker 2 (31:23):
No, that was the year before this past year or
the offseason before this past year was when he left
training camp?

Speaker 4 (31:28):
Remember just right right?

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Can I throw out a theory? Can I just throw
out this split theory? Because like LeVar, every time I've
been around Stefan Diggs, he's been a really nice guy,
he's been awesome, And I'm gonna chalk this up to
the fact that I don't know, he's human, Like what
we're competitors do, We're athletes. There's gonna be emotions involved.
Like when you're not getting the football, you're probably gonna

(31:52):
be frustrated when you feel like you're one of the
best receivers in the NFL, right and you have a
quarterback who's capable, So it's not even like it's it's
not because the quarterbacks is not capable. He's capable, but
they're not getting you the football, and so that can
be frustrating. Like it's it's human nature to be able
to say, like things aren't going well, I can help

(32:13):
this football team out, and it's probably it's probably frustrating
for him to have to deal with some of that.
And so we tend to look at wide receivers, we
see glimpse on the sidelines and all that, like maybe
it wasn't that bad behind the scenes. Who knows, maybe
it was his representation. Like there's so many things you
don't know what caused this, and you know, at the

(32:34):
end of the day, it doesn't really matter, I guess.
I mean he's moved on, the Bills have moved on.
We'll see who gets the better end of that. As
the Texans look loaded and the Bills kind of feel
like they're in reload mode. Maybe not, but like we
always have to make so much of the reactions of
players on the sidelines and their emotions, and it's like, dude,
it's football, Like what do you expect. He's frustrating, he's mad.

(32:59):
There's so much time to what goes into this. So
that's the hard part for me is we tend to sensationalize,
you know, this small snapshot, and we tend to you know,
make a story about one moment in someone's life and
make it about that. And it'say, well maybe just maybe
just frustrating. The Burgs. A punch of other guys were
probably frustrated they didn't have the camera on at that
moment either.

Travis Kelsey's management team is trying to put an end
to rumors about an alleged breakup contract with Taylor Swift
that's been floating on the internet earlier this week. This document,
allegedly made by La based PR firm full Scope, claims
to feature strategy for their breakup. In the alleged document,
there's a date on September twenty eighth for this breakup
to take place and a prepared statement from both parties,

(34:53):
but full Scope has already issued a denial, claiming this
is a leak document. They're looking to find out who
falsely fabricated it.

Speaker 5 (35:01):
It's a leaked document, but falsely fabricated.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Yeah, I'm just saying all this does is.

Speaker 5 (35:14):
Open up the can of all kinds of questions. Who's involved,
who's involved, who was who ultimately put these two together?
You know, you had you had all these different commercial companies,
you know, advertisers using Come on, man, I wonder how

(35:35):
much this relationship cost?

Speaker 8 (35:36):
It?

Speaker 4 (35:37):
Bro like they were paid to be in a relationship.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Well who cost it? Made him money?

Speaker 4 (35:41):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
How much did they pay?

Speaker 5 (35:45):
How much did they pay Travis Kelcey and and what's
her name.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
Again, Taylor?

Speaker 5 (35:53):
How much did they pay them to do this again?
How how much did they pay them? That's that's how
much did it cost?

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Mm hmmmm?

Speaker 5 (36:01):
If they break up anywhere in September or or the
next month after that, I'm I'm in I'm I'm in
full awareness mode.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
That this was a hoax. Yep, we were all hosed.
