You like the Yeah, this is a great pick. I
think Levar's won so far by the uh so, I'm

An unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road as a protection,
over ten thousand recommended installers, tire rack dot com the
way tire buying should be. So we can kind of
break this down team by team, But I do find
it a little bit funny that the team with going
into the season the worst quarterback situation in the AFC North,
(02:01):
the Pittsburgh Steelers, is a team that's sitting atop the
AFC North.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
LeVar said it, man preach, you wouldn't believe in them.
But but you said it about the Jets.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Said that again, then yes, I'm not an all the
way believer in the Steelers. I just think that they're
going to finish second or fight for second or third
in the North. I had the Bengals second, in the
Ravens first.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
If you'll but what you say about the Jets like
dysfunction all.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
That, well, talent, talent cannot outperform dysfunction. I can't. I've
never heard of it. I've never seen it. If somebody
has an example, please give it to me. I feel
like I feel like the closest thing you could say
to to that that I could use as a comp
was Dallas when they was you know, cats was getting
in trouble and stuff like that, or even Miami the
(02:49):
you some would say possibly it was dysfunctional. That I
don't know that it was dysfunctional though. They were just
they their function was the way that they functioned, and
that works for them. But dysfunction, like you can't you
can't outperform it. Now, there's functions, there's function in Pittsburgh.
I'm just saying in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
So fields gets the start and we can talk about
how that all went, which was odd, right, Like I'm
not sure if that schematic advantage, which I guess you know,
we probably all admit that there's a difference between justin fields.
That quarterback Russell Wilson Russell is not the same type
of runner as justin fields. So your rush, your pressures,
your coverage looks gonna be different. I am going to
(03:33):
send you in the group chat a passing chart. I
like to call it a shot chart for quarterbacks. Was
so I'm sure was short, no it it wasn't. There
deeper passes, But I think let me just find this
real quick, all right, I think you're gonna notice some trends,
and I'm gonna let it hit the account before I
say what I'm gonna say. But it was very uh,
(03:54):
I'll just put it this way, very revealing. I think
even the coaching staff for the Pittsburgh Steelers has a
pretty strong understanding of what Justin Field's strengths are and
what his weaknesses are. Once this passing charts.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Out the way, so.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Basically it's like, we're not even going to try to
throw in the middle of the field. Roll left. To
Mike Tomlin's credit and Arthur Smith's credit is this is
typically actually what you see, for you really young quarterbacks
in the NFL. Most times when you see interceptions, they
happen over the middle of the field. There's more bodies,
(04:36):
there's more players, there's more of an opportunity for a
ball to get tipped, a ball to get picked. So
you try to limit that. And what you do is
you start with short and then deep outside and so
it's screen game. It's quick passing game, maybe an r PO,
especially when you've got a quarterback that's athletically justin fields.
And then you take some shots up the sideline because
the worst thing you you should really have come from
(04:58):
that isn't incompletion, not an interception, maybe get a PI,
but you know a completion or PI sudden that gives
you some yards. He protected the ball, he did, and
as you can see from the shot chart, I don't know,
I mean, they really didn't try to even touch the
middle of the field. But it was effective and it
probably will have to be effective because if anyone saw
(05:19):
Russell Wilson warm up, that does not look like a
guy that's going to be back to play week two,
at least not one hundred percent by any means.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
WHOA Okay, I just I'll say this, I I think
that Russell Wilson may not make it onto the field.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
Ye why did he dress up?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Then? Why was he there in pads?
Speaker 5 (05:44):
If he just went he was the emergency third quarterback.
So remember the rule we talked about how if fields
got hurt and they put in the backup, which that's
escaping me.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Who the backup is a buffy rister? Neil O'donald? Yeah,
there you go.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Okay, so Neil O'donnald bubby brister. If they got hurt, uh,
then he would then he would have to come in
and a ball off or pass, but it's actually Kyle Allen,
who was the active number two last week.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I'll say this, he just needed to go through his
pregame routine where he actually plays out the entire game
in his head, and he did it with his pats on.
That's what I'm assuming took place. And while I may
be doing a bit, I think there's still some validity
to what I'm saying. There's some truth to what I'm saying.
(06:37):
He wanted to go through in his mind, the mental
you know, gymnastics in the rundown of what visualizing the game.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Carry that boomy entire day.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Get you ready?
Speaker 5 (06:53):
I love that?
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Man? Are they Why I didn't I didn't see see it?
Yeah I didn't see it, But yes, today but they was.
They was dancing though yesterday I just don't. I do
not think. First off, I did not think that it
was a great pickup to begin with. That's I'll start there.
(07:14):
But if in some form or fashion he did find
himself onto the field, I would be curious to see
how the offense runs through him. Because the running game
has not been with Naj Davenport and company, it has
not really har Naji Harrison I'm so davenports my ear.
(07:39):
It has not been crazy, crazy effective. That's them not
even extending his his contract. I just don't know if
Rusk can do it in the air on his own,
no running game, void of an effective running game. I
just don't think he can do it. You have to
(07:59):
have a more quarterback if you can't get your running
game going. And I just don't think Russ is that
mobile guy that can escape. If you can't have a
running game, go with your attack. I just that's my
take on it, and I'm just curious. I didn't think
that justin Fields blew anybody away with how he played.
(08:21):
I just thought they were efficient. And the one thing
that I did say, I will say I went on
record and saying, is we have not saw the Steelers
starters on defense out there, and when we see that,
it's going to be a different story. Actually, that is
the to me, the formula. Protect the ball and make
(08:45):
sure you're playing a game where it's like, let the
other team make the mistake against our defense unless be
opportunistic offensively as our defense provides opportunities for us. I
think that's the formula.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
Isn't that The frustrating part though, Jonas, if you're a
Pittsburgh Steelers fan, like, wasn't this what you dealt with
last year?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:04):
I mean, and then you've got Chris Boswell.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Even when they went undefeated, right, they were going, well,
not undefeated, but they were you know what, they went
nine to no. I think that was the formula. It
kind of fell apart, but that still was the formula.
Play defense, conservative on offense.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
Now, how much of that also, if you know, not
to steer it off the AFC North, But how much
of that also was the fact that Kirk Cousins did
not look good like that, that did not look ideal.
I'll let you touch that.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
You know.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
I was going through his cutups too, and it seems
like he's very intent on staying in the pocket and
getting the ball out quick. He's another one that I
don't know how either comfortable or what percentage he is
right now. There's some concern there, at least from my standpoint.
So look, it's a new offense. You've got a lot
(09:57):
of new pieces. He's a very proudgmatic guy. I really
got a good sense for how he operates last year
and calling a Minnesota Vikings game and talking to staff
and talking to him like we've joked about this for years, right,
Like he's the type of guy that has his schedule set,
Like you know what he's doing at seven eleven AM
(10:20):
Eastern time, six eleven you know Central if you're in
Minnesota right now, you knew what he was doing. Like,
he knows what he's doing. He's got it all mapped out.
His wife does, his kids do it, everyone does. And
he does that every single Tuesday. So now he's in
a situation where he's got to find that process. He
has to find that new normal. I'm probably a little
(10:41):
bit like that too to some degree, where I feel
like I operate most effectively when I've got like a
good solid routine. So my bum ankle right now is
by throwing a wrench in all of that. That being said,
you can see why he would have wanted to stay
in Minnesota because you wouldn't have to deal with any
of this. And the kicker to me is their offensive
(11:03):
coordinator Zach Robinson. It's his first time calling plays. That's
a really, really tough position to be in when you've
got a new staff, You've got all this talent, all
these players, everyone's expecting you to be that next great
offensive coordinator because you're coming from that Sean McVay coaching
tree and you've got to find your identity and you've
(11:23):
got to do that amongst what is I don't know,
kind of awkward situation. You've got Kirk Cousins, you've got
Michael Pennix. What happens if things start to go south?
I mean, that's the one thing just to get back
to the AFC North conversation. So Russell Wilson was supposed
to be the starter, didn't start calf injury right week
of heading into week one, what was Field's played well
(11:44):
enough or what if he continues to play the way
he has but they keep winning when Wilson is healthy,
is he back?
Speaker 1 (11:50):
No? No?
Speaker 5 (11:51):
And then if you're Russell Wilson, and maybe you could
have gone, even though it didn't look like it based
on warm ups, But he was like, I'll just let
them get a of maybe what I've seen in camp
or what practice, and maybe he'll there won't be as much,
you know, pressure on me if he goes out there
and plays plays poorly. Right, maybe there's a thought that too.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
If that is what it is, that's a terrible terrible theory.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
It might be, but but the hard thing is he
if he goes out there and he's not one hundred
percent and he plays poorly, what's the first thing that
Steelers fans are gonna want?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Justin Field?
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Justin Fields? So he's probably thinking, like, if this is
my last shot, which I think we'd all agree this
is probably Russell Wilson's the babe. You probably want to
make sure you are one hundred percent and you feel
like you can play like you know how to. If
it is, you know, your last shot or a figure
Michael McDonald's, he might not get it.
Speaker 4 (12:47):
So so let Justin Fields be.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
The win juices I should have done the Dobie Brothers.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Dang it, man, you know there's all got some bangers.
Speaker 5 (12:57):
Man.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
You can change it, and I can mc donald.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
I can't because every time I send him to Vido,
I think he gets annoying.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
You can change it.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
He works so hard and I feel so bad good
because I'll hit him with like a new song, Like
a week after I get really tired of our song.
Imagine how tired of jonas? If I already hate mine,
what are.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
You talking about? I just changed mine yesterday is the
first day we aired it.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
I know, I'm just saying, like I get tired of
my song after like forty eight hours. I'm like, all right,
he just sent it over to Ricky.
Speaker 4 (13:23):
Ricky can handle that stuff, right, pretty Ricky.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Yeah, Ricky's got it. That's got it, So you don't
have to do we want to do a new song
every week.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
The problem was, I think Lee, when you sent that email,
you didn't attach Ricky on there.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
I'm down. We change it every week.
Speaker 5 (13:38):
I think you actually attached Todd's email.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Just that's more likely.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
Yes, yeah, talking to it.
Speaker 6 (13:44):
And by the way, I don't speaking of quarterbacks not available,
Lamar Jackson not a practice yesterday, and uh, you.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Know, nobody really knows why. They asked John Harbob about it.
He said, well, you know.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
The injury report comes out on Wednesday, so you know
probably you know, should have more clarification on that then
just every year.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
So when you say no one knows why, what you
mean is no one outside of the facility knows why.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
Yeah, Like they asked Tarbo about it, he seemed a
little annoyed with the whole situation.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
That's y'all asking about that. The media is asking or
he's annoyed with Lamar jacks.
Speaker 6 (14:20):
It just does seem like he misses a lot of practice.
Like there's there's points during the season he's sick or
something comes up and Lamar Jackson just is not at
practice for some reason. It seems like it pops up
every single year. So now we get to wait to
see how that how that shapes out.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
So if you were looking at that bother you the way,
if you had a quarterback that wasn't showing up, but
you were showing up, what do you do? You give
him the benefit of the doubt. He's a two time MVP.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
I would hope that I would have a clear, crystal
clear understanding of why he's not showing up, is what
I would say. Now if I did not have, if
we as his trusted you know, campadres and and his
coworkers and family, ultimately hopefully we feel that strongly about
one another going to blows together that he doesn't allow
(15:14):
for us to know what's going on. I one hundred
percent will have a problem with that.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
You know it works, quarterbacks get Quarterbacks get in before
everyone else, so you probably don't see them until like
practice because you're separated so much. Even like a team meeting,
you know, you probably sit on different sides.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Or that's what well, that's what it is, because I
mean I I came in early. I was always there early,
just because I was a prehaber. I was a chronic prehaber,
so I would I would see guys in the training
room more often than not we're in the gym, because
I'd be in the gym as well. But I'll just
say this again, if you're not there and we know
(15:49):
why you're not there, then we're going to protect you
and you won't hear anything about it in terms of
us addressing it to the media, especially to people I
have influence over. But if you're not there because you
on some diva s or something like that, we got me.
Particularly if it was the locker room I'm in, I'm
gonna pull you up on it. I'm gonna approach you
(16:11):
and be like, you know what's going on, man, you know,
let's talk about you know, let's talk about this, because
it's just it's not a good look for you to
start off and start off with it's not a good
look for you, and you got to always be a
consummate professional. They paid you like you're a professional and
you got to handle things like a professional. Now, that's
(16:32):
advice from my perspective. You're letting us down, me all
the hard work I'm putting in, and all the hard
work your teammates are putting in. It's in harm's way
because you're not here and you're the guy that makes
this go. You do know we all depend on you
to be Lamar Jackson. I would hype him and make
(16:54):
sure he understands what he already knows. But I would
just want to give him some understanding and some respective
on how important you are and how many people you're
letting down. If in fact, you're not coming around or
you're not showing up, you're not available and nobody knows
why you're not, that's not a good look.
Speaker 6 (17:13):
Yeah, well we'll find out, you know, Wednesday again, the
injury report comes out.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
According to John Hu, I would assume he's like somewhere
getting like checked. That's the first thing I thought when
I saw it, was he's gone somewhere to get like
an MRI or something like that.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
They played on Thursday, Like there's plenty of times.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I mean, you just never know. It could have been
a follow up the swelling might have needed to go down.
There could be potentially like multiple reasons as to why
he didn't go immediately, or maybe he did go immediately
and maybe it was a follow up. I don't know.
I'm just speculating on why. I know, I can recall
guys would not be at practice and it was generally
(17:53):
health related well or personal like it was personal, you know,
like family business. I do know this.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
On Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, We've got

All right, so it is time here we go for
the debut edition buckle up of a little something called.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
This Who needs the AP Top twenty five?
Speaker 4 (19:32):
I'm just seeing things that I never thought exists.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
When you've got the Q Top fifteen.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Here we go. So some people will wonder why isn't
it a top twenty five, Because I'm gonna be honest
with you, there's probably about ten teams after the top
fifteen that I don't feel overly confident in making it
into the playoffs, And why is it not a top ten?
Because we've got a twelve team expanded playoffs, so we
land on fifteen. I give you the twelve that I
think are the best in college football right now, with
(20:01):
a little three extras, you know, three teams. I think
it slides somewhere into that conversation when it's all said
and done. So I will compare and contrast with the
Ape pole and I'll start off right away with the
number one team in the country. I've got a different
than the ap They've got Georgia. I've got Texas. Texas
has earned it. They go into Michigan and arbor a
commanding win against a top ten opponent, at least at
(20:22):
the time, and that to me is the best win
of the season for one of these teams as compared
to Georgia at the moment, who clems On I think
is a shell of itself, as is Michigan. But I
still think at the end of the day, it's a
better win. So I'm giving Texas the slight edge over
the Georgia Bulldogs, who we're at number two. Ohio State
really yet to be challenged so far, but dominant so far.
(20:43):
In that fashion, I did contemplate, though, putting Tennessee at
number three as opposed to number four in this poll,
in part because they just blew out NC State. NC
State's not that bad of a football team. I think
they will be a top twenty five team when it's
all said and done at the end of the season.
And although bounced after the trouncing that Tennessee gave them
(21:03):
this past week. But nico Ia Meleava, he is a phenom.
He is a stud. If you can right now, I
would go look at placing some bets on him to
win the Heisman. He's gonna put up a lot of
stats within that offense. He's going to be a first
round pick in the future. But he so far now
is leading this team and they are They are loaded
(21:26):
littered with talent around ole Miss. At number five, Jackson
Dart's been bowling out, although again a team that heroly
hasn't been tested by anyone. I got Alabama at seven,
and look, I've been watching a lot of the tape
in preparation for this week's matchup versus Wisconsin, and I
gotta be honest, that offense is a work in progress.
The defense, you can see some of the holes and
some of the lack of experience on the back end
(21:47):
that was a concern coming into the season. It's still
a concern. I've got them at seven. You would see
at eight. The defense is much improved, Miller Moss operating
at a high level within this offense and throwing to
a lot of playmakers on the outside. Credit Lincoln Riley
for the changes he made in the offseason. It's showing
out and proving to be effective so far. Penn State
at number nine. They've kind of held court at this point,
(22:09):
but again struggled a bit versus Bowling Green State, So sorry, LeVar,
I think the AP has them actually a number eight.
I've got them back one more spot. I've got Oregon
at ten. They've struggled, but they've played somewhat of a
difficult schedule, obviously being able to pull away from Boise
State this past week. But I think they're best football
is still ahead of them. But I've got them at
number ten as opposed to nine in the eight people.
(22:30):
Missouri probably the biggest difference in my top fifteen versus
the AP. The AP has them at six. I've got
them at eleven at this point. I think they're a
good football team and they've got a lot of talent.
Best wide receiver in the country. Unfortunately, I just I
don't know that they've necessarily played the most difficult schedule,
so I want to see more from them as they
go through a gauntlet. And then we got started getting
(22:51):
into the Big twelve. I've got Utah at twelve, very
similar to ap exact same in fact, Oklahoma State at thirteen,
another team that I think is playing in good football,
finding ways to win, and then Kansas State. All those
Big twelve teams kind of muddled in there together, and
then probably the big one of the other bigger differences
is at number fifteen. I've got a team that's eight
(23:11):
spots higher than the eight people, and that's Nebraska. I'm
a believer in what Matt Rules building there. I'm a
believer in their defense. I'm a believer in their offense
and the big playability with Dylan Ryola as he continues
to grow and mature. I think the second half football
would be much better in the first half for a
true freshman's coming in there a start. But this is
(23:32):
a team that's on the rise, and after beating Colorado,
they've still got some tough matchups. Illinois coming up, who
just knocked off Kansas this past week as the top
twenty team, but they could be seven and oh going
into Columbus in October. And I'll say this twice. Now,
you are not ready. You've college football fans are not
(23:56):
ready for Nebraska to be back. Okay, I don't think
anyone can handle what Big Red is going to be
if Nebraska comes back. LeVar, tell me I'm wrong. I
know you played around that era kind of when Nebraska
was that in college.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Was a better place when Nebraska was good.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
That that might be one way of putting it. But
there's also that Juggernaut. There's the black Shirts, there's all
the history, all of the mystique and everything else. They're
honoring the nineteen ninety four national championship team, and some
of the clips that come out give me chills, man,
because I remember that from my childhood. Jonas, I know
you watched a little bit, probably as I don't care.
Who was Tommy Fraser, Eric Krauz, Coy Schleschinger, Phillips. Oh Man,
(24:43):
that was a bad, bad, you know team an era
during that time.
Speaker 6 (24:47):
I still remember Nebraska Miami and the Orange Bowl.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
I'm such an offensive line though.
Speaker 6 (24:54):
So it was January first, the Bears beat the Vikings
in a wild game.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Steve Walsh was the starting.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
Quarterback during the day, and at night Miami played Nebraska,
and Nebraska ran through them.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
They could not stop. Miami could not get a stop.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Zach Wieger went into the Hall of Fame together. It's dope,
dude Brandon style on that line. Their offensive line that
year was ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
I'm telling you all, you guys aren't ready. College football
is not ready. The country isn't ready for the way
Big Red travels like that fan base. They're building a
sleeping giant there and it has a lot to do
with the quarterback Dylan Ryola, but also credit to Matt Ruhle.
How he's built that team. It hasn't been about flash,
(25:42):
it's been about all the right right things. And we
saw him do it a Temple, we saw him do
it at Baylor. Here we are once again. He's building
a Nebraska to me to be a contender.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Nice. It looks just like Patrick Mahomes. Okay, can we
talk about that literally like doppelganger?
Speaker 7 (25:57):
All right, enough's enough, Like he did it. I did
his hair that way him it's too much. He does
everything he like him. He works with his quarterback coach.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Well, there you go.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
He works with Jeff christian Cent.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
So even the throwing motion in the seven, and he
looked just like And by the way, if you're going
to model yourself after one point.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Why not?
Speaker 5 (26:18):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (26:18):
And you have it to look like him.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
When I was coming through high school and Tom Brady
was making this run doing and Patriots, every everyone wanted
to be Tom Brady.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
You look better than Tom. I love Tom, but you
look better than Tom. Great point.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
Let's keep it on that. Yeah, now, what would you say?
Speaker 6 (26:32):
Basically, yeah, I would say, great point, Brady, your thoughts
on doing better looking than Tom Brady?
Speaker 5 (26:38):
I thought we had Marcus Freeman and Steve Sark see that.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
On the on the right. Let's talk about it.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
Didn't malfunction awkward?
Speaker 1 (26:47):
All right?
Speaker 4 (26:48):
So yeah, we do have some.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Marking in a manly way, of course, you know what
I mean. I can admit, like me, I'm an ugly
It's all right, but I'm sexy.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
We're still doing this.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
I'm sexy, though, But go ahead.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
I mean what I would rather talk about the cops
and Tyreek Hill and everything happens.
Speaker 6 (27:03):
Okay, Well, we do have some Marcus Freeman. So now,
but I want to make sure we've got enough time
to react to it. The tyreek Hill video though, I mean, look, cop,
you know, probably a little bit too aggressive. Tyreek Hill
probably could have cooperated a little bit more, and you
know what was he doing? One ten and a fifty
five and not great? So but of course this has
(27:25):
turned into the new raging debate.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
Yeah, but but it doesn't. It's not just about tyreek Hill.
It's about Cliss Campbell, Jess.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
That's a big part of it.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
There's another there's other players too, who weren't doing anything
wrong and they're just trying to help out their team.
I mean those look, as we said yesterday, I'm all
for our first responders, are our police officers, state everyone,
everyone who serves and fulfills that civic duty. But you
have to admit to there's times when it's completely unnecessary.
(27:54):
This is one of those times. And I know tyreek
Hill maybe might have been as cooperative as he should
have been. I understand that, But you're right outside of
a stadium, you know who it is like chill, like
give him the ticket, let him go. You know, it's
like why why take him to jail, whichever one is
going to be. You do what you want to do
(28:15):
that way. That's advocating. I'm not advocating for that.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
I'm not asvocating for it, but I'm just saying, if
you're going to use that type of force, then then
you're saying you must be thinking to yourself that he
is a threat to you, if you're you. The only
way you can justify that amount of force is if
you felt like there.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
Was a threat, so which which is why I'm saying
the guy was being overzealous. There is there who is
no threat in any way shape a storm.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
That's a problem.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
And here's the hard thing is they've already issued a
statement that after officer has been taken off of active
active duty. And the hard thing is is the statement
of the issue is saying how well tyreek Kill was
non complying, he wouldn't sit down. It's like I watched
the video, it didn't seem like there was much of
an opportunity once they got him out of the car
for him to ask him anything or just sit him
down or anything. It seems like they try to use
(29:01):
force to put him on the ground. Like I don't
need to watch the video again to be told whatever
their statement says. And I watched the video of Kallais
Campbell walking up trying to it. He immediately started to
back up because that cop started fighting him.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
He ran up on him too. He ran up on
on uh Tarik Hill and he ran up on Klais.
It's almost like he wanted on weight room juicing type
dudes and wanted to test it, like all, here's my chance,
Like I'm this my house right here, this is this
is my time. Like that's the way he took him,
put Tarik down on the ground. It was like, you
(29:36):
want to show it himself. He wanted to prove something
to himself. That's what it sounds seemed like to me.
And he ran up on Klais. It's like to me,
if you're going to be that aggressive in what you're doing,
you shouldn't be out there. That's one. But if if
it's for some reason, cause I know I'm hearing contrarians
out there. I know I heard Whitlocks take, I heard
(29:57):
I heard got Leaps take. I heard if you can
only imagine what you can only imagine, you can try
and pull out of that question you put that question,
don't try to cover up. How about don't you cover
on a shield. I'm not putting on any shields. I'm
(30:17):
not pulling out anything. All I'm saying is is if
as a police officer, if you feel that he was
doing excessive speeding, which by the way, automatically constitute that
your car get towed and you get taken in. That
that's first and foremost. If you felt like that was
(30:39):
the case, then just take him in. Just if that
was what your your where your mind was at as
as law enforcement in that moment, take them in. But
to do all of the things that he did in
that moment, that to me is where it went horribly wrong,
and that's where the ultimately the judgments are coming from
(31:00):
and all the other noise of it all. I just
like tend to try to keep things like right right
down the center for me in center lane and situations
like these because of so many people I love and
care about that are in law enforcement that are first
responders and understanding the pressures and the things that they
go through when they're doing their job. To me, if
you're doing your job and you're and you're leveling up
(31:24):
and you felt as though I clocked this man at
over one hundred miles per hour in a what zone
like probably like a fit. Okay, then you taking the jail.
You go. You do everything by the book, You do
everything by the protocol of what you do when that
would happen any other time?
Speaker 5 (31:44):
Can can I ask for Jonas's synopsis of this entire
thing in ten seconds because this could be a new segment.
We just we let you summarize all of this in
ten seconds. I mean it's really easy, Like we're focusing
on the wrong guy here. Oh, I mean the real
arrest should have been made to Travis Atn who fumbled
in the end zone and the Jag well games, well done,
(32:06):
and he really did. He scores, he scores, that game's
over and he fumbles into the end zone and then
next next play they throw it out the jack Yes,
so what And like anybody out there that's got him
on their fantasy team, you're looking at this game going,
oh that that's like a I need those points. And
then he fumbles and that's that situation.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
Literally went from bad to worst. So he's about to score,
fumbles into the end zone. Miami gets the ball back
on a touchback, and the next play is the ADR
touchdown of Tyreek Hill completely.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Turns a game. Damn Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Man.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Wow. So there it is.
Speaker 6 (32:44):
There's your synopsis Two Pros and a Cup of Joe
here on Fox Sports Radio. Coming up next here though
from the tiraq dot Com studios, we are going to
hear from somebody in the world of football who's got
to be answering some questions from their fan, and it's
yours right here on FSR.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific.
Speaker 6 (33:13):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe, Fox Sports Radio,
LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with the air.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Mark throwing down on that West Coast music. He saw
that the Chargers took it to the Raiders. Oh all
right now, okay, Mark throwing that sad out there man
bolted up, bolt up by the you see.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
Uh, We're gonna hear from Marcus Rieman.
Speaker 6 (33:34):
I promise, but I want to make sure we have
full time for this because he did try and explain
the situation that took place over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Gotta be irish. You got to give you the time that.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
He needs for this definitely, so top the next hour,
we promise we will pay off that tease. Did you
hear some people are giving Antonio Peers a little bit
of heat for his decision he made over the weekend.
So they had a fourth and one and they were
down six with like seven minutes and change left to go.
They were at they were inside at charge, in charge.
Speaker 5 (34:06):
You got to go for it.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
You think they had to go for it there because
they pinned them back and then they gave up.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
That big run.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
But they asked some of the players and they kind of,
you know, didn't want to out and out call him out,
but just kind of disagreed with the move based on
the fact that he went for it on fourth and one.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
Ear then the game the analytics say go for it.
So that's kind of the bottom line. If we're going
to go based on math, that's that's what you should
do in that case. But defensive minded coach, and I
think that's sometimes the difference and a lot of people
who I'm not the type of person that always buys
analytics every single time. He knows this team better than
(34:46):
anyone else. But all I'm saying is the book or
the analytics would say to go for it in that instance.
And I think the hard thing about it is, and
coaches have said this, when you make that decision to
go for it and you don't get it, then it's
on you. You're interjecting yourself. Make a decision that puts
things on the line. And some coaches are comfortable with that,
some aren't. But either way, if you go ahead and
(35:08):
pun pin them back play well, get the ball back
and it works out, then it then it. You know,
not that you're going to gloss over the decision, but
it's one in which it works out and there's not
as much risk to you as a as a coach,
right putting yourself out there.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Yeah, I just I think that they have bigger issues
to concern themselves with. That's that's what I would say.
That would be my response to it. I mean, their
quarterback play, they just they don't have a quarterback and
and their defense is going to have.
Speaker 5 (35:39):
To I don't think I didn't think Minshaw was that bad.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
I mean, I mean it wasn't like quarterback play was great,
this paste or any any like for too many quarterbacks
at that week one. But I just don't think they
have a quarterback. And that's the that's going to be
their biggest issue this year. It's not Gardner Minshew, it's
not him. He ain't him. So I just I think
they have bigger issues.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
So you might have passed for close to the most
yards off anyone outside of like Stafford and Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Ten points slinging it.
Speaker 5 (36:11):
I don't know, man, he wouldn't that bad. I don't.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
I don't know he was the issue. I'll take you
right now with your ankle.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
Oh said that I can't even move.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Let's go to break, Go to break. I'm taking Q
