We got to catch everybody up to speed as to
what is happening here. There is happening all right.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
So there's a bat in the studio, that a real
bat flying around the studio. So it's thrown everybody for
a loop. People are hiding out inside the studio. They're
afraid to go to the bathroom. We've left a door open,
so there's probably a homeless guy going through the fridge
or walking out of the microwave right now. All sorts
of stuff is happening.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
There are a lot of treats in that fridge, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah, well they've been Rob Parker takes with them.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
It's a ton of stuff in there is all out time.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
By the way, Rob, he does it so every Sunday
night when we're doing the TV show, like, they'll go
across the street to the NBC Sports Grill at City Walk.
And Rob is such a cheap skate that, because it's
NBC's paying for the food, he'll order food there and

(01:55):
then as he leaves put in food to go so
he can go across the way after we're done doing
the show to take food to go home. So he's
literally getting two meals every time he goes, just so
he can get more bang for his buck, a buck
that he never spent. World class cheapskate, brilliant, but world

(02:16):
class chief skate.

Speaker 6 (02:18):
How does he do his apparel? What's the market on
that stuff? Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:23):
He when he So what he does is he buys
things from like Ross Dress for less or someplace like that,
and then he puts an odd couple patch or like
get robbed dot com or mlbbro dot com, whatever website,
and he'll like get a patch made. He'll go to
a mall, he'll get it put onto the clothes, and

(02:45):
then he'll sell them in the kitchen here around Christmas time,
and you're thinking, oh, he's probably cutting people a deal. No,
he marks everything up, but everything so whatever shirt he
whatever jacket he got, like a tracksuit jacket he got
for twelve dollars in a Burlington code factory. He goes
to a mall Kiosk, he gets an odd couple patch

(03:06):
put on it and then slings that bastard for fifty
five or sixty dollars.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Rob What are you doing? He goes, what inflashing?

Speaker 6 (03:18):
It's not it.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Works, But you know we're all trying to figure this
out on the show.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
So there's all that.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Oh you know, ay Lee, did you get a text
message or call Lee?

Speaker 7 (03:33):
No, I turned my phone off.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Oh no, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
That.

Speaker 8 (03:40):
I don't think that's the right move either, Buddy. I
think whenever there's like a right news to be made.
You don't make it.

Speaker 7 (03:48):
My mantra is bad decisions tang yep instead of mantra.
I don't know, just I say it all the time.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
I mean, what's the matra bad?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I mean, at least if you consistently lived by the
idea of making bad decisions, when you occasionally stumble upon
a good one, people are really happy for you.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Man. That's how I look at it.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Like you've driven the standards down so low in terms
of your decision making ability that when you make a
good decision that as is like super important to.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
By the way, we do have boots on the ground
back in state college.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
I mean, I told you if he wanted to do it,
I was going to do it with him. I was
already fried. Like I went to two ten, I was
there with with j with th ten. Oh it was
that got made ten all day. I don't know why

(04:57):
we're using that accent.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
J R.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
Shouts out to you and the people at two ten.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Home of the original you know, the original uh Long
Island nice tea, where the whole idea of things turning
into what we deemed the LeVar Island came from. But yeah,
I told you. I was like, man, you know when
you get here? He was like eleven PM.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
I was like, all right, well that's kind of late
later than that.

Speaker 6 (05:20):
So oh dang well, I didn't get into after midnight
by the time.

Speaker 8 (05:23):
By the way, I've never had a worse landing than
the one we had.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
Come to the State College.

Speaker 8 (05:28):
Oh yeah, people were It wasn't even that it was
the pilot slammed on the ground. People woke up, people
were screaming like what the I mean. People were ticked
off about it. And the pilot got on and he
tried to blame the first captain. The first captain got
out of Nope, that wasn't me. Just for the record.

(05:50):
They were like going back at it. And you know
how you sometimes they opened the door when you're deplaning.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
Youn't see him.

Speaker 8 (05:55):
You'll be like, thank you very much, sir, and all
that I kept beg it was and open. They were
not They were not talking to anyone.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Didn't you flew into State College Airport, greatest airport in
the world, just in and out. I don't even know
if it's considered an airport, Like it looks like a
library that's half built there's nothing.

Speaker 8 (06:13):
I thought about. I thought about trying to have someone
fill me pulling a LeVar. I thought about it, kissing
the ground. Realized I was yeah, but did I realized
I'm the last one off the plane, and yeah, I
took it a while, get my bag.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
So that's why I get off last though, when I'm
on the plane, so that I can take the time,
step to the side, kiss the ground, look up to
the sky.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Dude, what is the problem, Jonas?

Speaker 4 (06:38):
What's wrong? I just wondering what you walk off the plane?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
I just last? I go last. Why what you're trying
to say? I got to sit in the back of
the time, you know the long Thank you Ray, and
I see now you on? Yeah, Jonas, what is your problem?

Speaker 6 (06:57):
Man?

Speaker 5 (06:57):
Why why you want to go down that lane? First?

Speaker 1 (06:59):
You start off, I say cafe through ten like I
don't know you're going out with that one. Then you
want to sit there and have facial expressions to me
getting off?

Speaker 4 (07:08):
What you mean first?

Speaker 5 (07:10):
Put the big black guy in the back of the plane.

Speaker 6 (07:12):
You know, confusing as Lee's relationships.

Speaker 9 (07:19):
And Lee, I mean, what gives he's in trouble. That's
what I'm doing, you guys, I'm fine your.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Death to go home today. That's that's that's when you're see.
I told you I may.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
Not go home.

Speaker 7 (07:36):
You can come to Disney again.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Lee did about it?

Speaker 1 (07:40):
By the way, how does that go over with your
ex current at the same time, how does that go over?

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Like?

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Is there not any.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
She made? She made a move out for the moment?
Why Joe is standing up to walk up?

Speaker 5 (07:57):
I mean, how do you handle that? Rand?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
And like, all right, I mean, I know you guys
are like work buddies or whatever, y'all.

Speaker 10 (08:03):
I was trying to be real sweet because you know,
obviously it's a little weird.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Everyone's like that, it's a weird thing.

Speaker 10 (08:09):
And I'm like, now you need to take her back
a big old stitch stuffy and a caramel apple and
be like, we missed you at the park today.

Speaker 11 (08:16):
You know, she was invited stuff to do she did.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Ye. See, that's that's the perfect way to get out
of doing it. That way is by saying you're invited,
but you're really not invited.

Speaker 10 (08:31):
Don't tell her secrets.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Take her back to stuffed animal to keep her happy. Lee,
did you have to answer any questions about Disney?

Speaker 5 (08:49):
I mean true, Yeah, I mean sure.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
But if you went on the tea cups, I'll have
you killed.

Speaker 10 (08:56):
We got the best pictures on the tea cups.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Were there any rides that made you guys like grab
on to each other for dear life and scream and
they like capture the pictures of it on the thing
and then you come out and you can buy it
and you see it at the end.

Speaker 7 (09:12):
Yeah, we got Space Mountain. So my arm looks broken.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
So I didn't post it, Okay, Yeah, just.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Trouble you all the way in trouble. Yeah, I ain't
never going to Disneyland ever again.

Speaker 6 (09:31):
Chef said that mantally, it's doing well for yourself.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
You guys. You need to be back and stay college.
You were safer there.

Speaker 11 (09:39):
You should have called out sick today. I'm scared of bats,
you guys. I gotta go home.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Hey, that thing better be out of here.

Speaker 7 (09:47):
I don't know what I'm more scared of that going on.

Speaker 8 (09:49):
You imagine that's the demise of jonas he gets bitten
by a bat and gets rabies.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
Like, I'm that's how we go.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I'm not walking out of here on a football Friday
with syphilis because somebody left a door open.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Why do you keep connecting those deals to scenarial diseases.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
There's no correlation.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
I don't get it, Like, what's the difference.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
You have clearly lived that lifestyle, Jonas Knox when you
had the Lebrett, you know, that was the world you
was living in.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
You know, with your front front how you called a Labrett?

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, and that would have called it's a Lebrett, Yeah,
right under the lip. You're a freak. Here's a freak.
Nasty dude, you probably still are. Dang listen, look at you, man,
Why are you acting like tank Hammers with the Labret?
Can we talk sports man?

Speaker 4 (10:42):
What problem?

Speaker 5 (10:43):
Alright?

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Let me let me ask you this.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Are you surprised that u c LA is only a
twenty eight point under dog at state college with a
nine am kickoff?

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Because I am. I think they're gonna get They're gonna
jump on that. They'll get mutilated tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
There is a lot of issues with this batch for UCLA.
For starters, Ethan Garber's their quarterbacks banged up.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
I'm not even sure if he's going to start, so
it could be a back of getting his first start.
Their center is also going to be getting his first start,
which one hundred thousand plus and that noise the operations.
Being a road team, that doesn't bode well for them.
This is a team that cannot run the football. They're

(11:25):
very much one dimensional. In fact, I think they're like
second to last in fbs afaging like fifty seven yards
a game.

Speaker 6 (11:32):
So there's a lot of concern and a lot of
issues for this team.

Speaker 8 (11:37):
They have played teams tough for a half, let's just
put it that way. You know, LSU, they played tough
for a half. Defensively, they've kind of hung in there
a little bit. It's more of the offense. They just
cannot get any offensive production. And they're actually they're throwing
the ball a ton, and it's not because they're down,

(12:00):
they're just they're throwing the football a lot more. That's
you remember, Eric Banemey is their offensive coordinator, and so
I'm not sure if it's so much by design, it's
what he feels like they can do and be successful with.
Sometimes you see and people will say this and just
put us out there, offensive coordinators will throw the ball
more than they need to because they want to put
up stats or look good, and that way they have

(12:20):
a shot that going to be a head coach somewhere.
Maybe that's somewhere in the back of you know, Eric
Banemey's mind. Either way, this is a really, really tough
uphill battle and that doesn't take the lookout to travel.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
Oh my goodness, let.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Me add on to that. On that by the way,
that sounds like somebody just put.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
Brady's mike and a build of Bear.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Yeah, you know, from Disney.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
So anyway, you got Nick Singleton and k Tron Allen
in the backfield too, that that wasn't mentioned.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
That is a daunting task.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
This year to slow those two dudes down out of
the backfield. Then you got ty Warren. Tyler Warren the
tight end. I think he's the best tight end in
the in the country, in the land right now. Multi
dimensional can do so many different things. There are just
tremendous matchup issues. You're talking about a young Cousins led

(13:34):
offensive front that has actually shown a level of continue
growth into really what could be considered to be dominance.
I'm not beyond saying that an offensive line that boasted
a top draft pick in Olu for Shana last last

(13:55):
season is not a better offensive line unit this year.
I'm not for certain. Losing two guys like Adsa Isaac
and Chop Robinson and even CJ. Curtis Jacobs to the
draft last year on the defensive side of the ball,

(14:15):
that this defense isn't a better defense. It appears to
be a team that is trending in the direction of
being a better team than even what they were seemingly
on paper last year. Abdul Carter is emerging as the
stick city that he's supposed to be. He played his

(14:38):
first dominant game in the biggest game of the season.
Zane Durant and company, Devin DeVaughn, those guys have have
really really anchored the inside of that defensive front. So
now they've established a dominance. Dena Sutton is out there

(14:59):
literally destroying people. They had to do a merger emergency
and now you don't wish harm upon anybody, but Deni
gets to that ball and once he gets that body
on you, Jonas like there's there's like you know, they
got to cart you up out of there. Like he's
like body bagging dudes out there, and the defenses really yeah,

(15:19):
Kobe King showed up last week. Tony Rojas. I mean,
there's so many names that are becoming common names and
how they're playing. This is a team this year. Need
I say, because it's very important to the Penn State
fan base, this is a team on paper that actually

(15:39):
you'll see will be able to match up very very
well against the Buckeyes when that game comes around.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
My only thought is, and again, you know, the Lion
is twenty eight. It's not like we're talking about a
two point spread here. But I just assume.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
Nobody's been able to stop this offense well.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
And also I look at it and I go, you know,
UCLA stinks. Obviously, it's a transition time, and you know
it has knockne well. They've had by far, between them
and USC, they've had by far the worst schedule. Like
if you just looked at it before the season, you're
looking where they gonna find wins. They were fortunate to
beat Hawaii when they did, they got mutilated by Indiana.
I just wonder if maybe the thought behind it it

(16:19):
only being a twenty eight point spread is the fact
that last week was homecoming for Penn State.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Next week they're at USC.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Is this sort of do they look past Ucla maybe
a little bit like they got their eyes set on
you going to USC next week?

Speaker 1 (16:35):
It's a one oh. It's a one to oh mentality
around here. It's it's every week is the most important
week around here. That's something that coach Franklin has has
taught and preached for for since he's been here for
many years. It's it's it's a one to oh mentality.
It's up everywhere in the building. Uh, it's just what

(16:56):
it has to be. And to have an early start
to the year that some of these teams had and
to see how the fall takes place. You don't want
to be in a situation where you have to try
to dig yourself out of a hole because you lost
to a team that you shouldn't have lost to. So,
while I'm sitting in here saying that they match up
well with Ohio State and that game is a little far,

(17:18):
a little ways off, UCLA is one hundred percent a
capable team. They're one hundred percent as Q mentioned, They're
a capable team and more than likely are more than
capable if you overlook them. So coming into Beaver Stadium,
coming into Happy Valley, being in this environment, you're going

(17:42):
to see a team that I'm assuming. I talked to
Drew Auler yesterday too. I got a chance to spend
some Yeah, I got a chance to spend some time
with Drew as well, and we had a great, great
personal conversation. Also, I just think that he's a much
better quarterback this year year, maturity wise, confidence wise, and schematically.

(18:06):
You know, he's being used and in ways that he
can really really utilize his strengths in so many ways.
And like I said, the emergence, the re emergence insurgeons
of of you know, Nick Singleton and k Tron Allen
and then having your safety blanket and go to Guy
and Warren at tight end. There's just so much balance

(18:30):
to this team, Jonas. It's just going to it's going
to be very, very difficult for U c l A.
To be able to match up with this team. It's
the best team they're seeing this season. And that includes
you know, the whole game with LSU and all that stuff.
This is the best team that u c l a
Is going to see so far this year.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah, so it should be a should be a wipeout,
but uh, you know, you got to get over that
Stick City tailgate across the way over by the baseball team.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Man, it's been really good, and it's been really good
it's been really fun. Hope people make it out come
check us out over there. Yeah, and speaking of the
Stick City tailgate, while we're doing promotions and stuff like that,
I just want to throw it out there to everybody.
You know, the announcement hit yesterday that you know, we

(19:18):
did our extension on the show, and that the show
got you know, it's locked in and loaded. The amount
of response that came when the announcement came out has
been so phenomenal, man, Yeah, it's been so phenomenal. So
I don't want to go another minute without acknowledging the

(19:40):
multitudes of people who have commented so positively and so
friendly and kindly to us extending the show. Yeah, it's
one of the things that coming into the show we
really was hoping that we could deliver a show to
our audience. Is that you know, was fun, that was
informative and just you know, light arted, but but with

(20:01):
a really really heavy sports thing feel to it. So
appreciate all of the love that everybody has given us
hearing the announcement, and hopefully we give you another amount
of time where you enjoy our show. So so many people, man,
I mean like just blowing away by the amount of
people here.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Yeah, and you know, most most importantly, you're welcome, you know,
I mean, that's that's really the most important thing about amors.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
I'm glad I was able to put pen to paper
yesterday and be the last one.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
To say done.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
So you get that seven figure just to make sure
I am it is your show.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
I mean you should have gone last.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
You know, I mean, you don't have more details on that.
This Saturday, by the way, two to four Eastern time
eleven am to one pm Pacific time of the Jonas
Knox Show, the main event for up on.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
Games where you can find all that so.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Shoosh uh it is two pros and a cup of
joe here. On Fox Sports Radio, LeVar promoted you know
what I mean, By the way, when you're at the
Stick City tailgates, hell a little by guy Brian at
John's on Fire and you better not call Jaws on Fire.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
He'll slau.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
It's John's.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
That's that's a Pennsylvania deal on the eastern side of
the state.

Speaker 5 (21:15):
John's What up? You liked them?

Speaker 4 (21:17):
John Jaws on Fire?

Speaker 5 (21:18):
What an idiot that you said?

Speaker 6 (21:25):
Idiot?

Speaker 5 (21:26):
You were the idiot?

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Yes, definitely all right.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
It's coming up next here from the Shoes from the
tire Rag dot Com Studios. Uh, somebody who's had a
little bit of a weird week that might even get worse.
Apparently it's now stretched beyond just the NFL. He's got
bigger problems. We'll get into that for you right here
on FSR.

Speaker 12 (21:49):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Arrington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fire Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on Fox
Sports Radio. Coming up in about fifteen minutes from now,
we're gonna have a week five edition of our Picks
against the Spreads. Will spread them for you again here
about fifteen minutes from now. No doubt I went five
and oh last week not even.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
A show really in hell?

Speaker 5 (22:17):
I right?

Speaker 6 (22:19):
Yeah it Wow.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
With the way that Knox locks was last week, I
can't imagine anything different.

Speaker 5 (22:25):
This was locked.

Speaker 6 (22:26):
So did you forget that accounting from Lee for the
games last night?

Speaker 4 (22:29):
The Quinns wins?

Speaker 6 (22:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Yeah, Lee wasn't one.

Speaker 7 (22:32):
I had it right off the bat, but I was
also dealing.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
With a bat which is still in here by the
way you got to the bathroom.

Speaker 11 (22:41):
But yeah, there was there's some offensive lineman blocking me
from the from the mic. Yeah, yeah, I think you
went two and one yet last night Brady, g if I'm.

Speaker 6 (22:47):
Not, it was four bets leaves three of one, Like.

Speaker 7 (22:50):
Well, never mind, I was wrong, all right, Cool, I
got most of it.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Well, you talked about.

Speaker 6 (22:59):
The lack of professionalism from Lee. Never surprises me.

Speaker 7 (23:05):
I'm doing two jobs, doing three jobs.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
It once.

Speaker 7 (23:07):
I got pest control on the side.

Speaker 6 (23:10):
That's true. And you're going a relationship they not willing
to define.

Speaker 8 (23:14):
Yeah, I'm making while trying to buy a car and
find a place sell a place that you can't sell.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
Hey, nobody multitasks like lead the lap.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Barely handled what I called me like asked about.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
The sound it was on air. Yeah, there's there's a
lot going on.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
But the point is congratulations Brady claims he went three
and one.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
I mean, who knows?

Speaker 8 (23:40):
You know you want to go back over the bets
the over of last night Thursday night football.

Speaker 6 (23:44):
That was a win. I did lose out on the spread.

Speaker 8 (23:46):
Troy did not keep it within thirteen and a half
points last night versus Texas State, however, and you hit
the under a fifty seven and a half and then
finally UTEP getting beaten down by.

Speaker 6 (23:57):
Sam Houston State, which I also laid the ten points there.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Nice, So good job, Brady.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
Is that what you had?

Speaker 7 (24:06):
That what I had? I'm looking at it right now.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
The good thing is his response to this is very
similar to house relationship. Oh no, he just agrees, like
whatever she says, just agree to it.

Speaker 7 (24:16):
Say yes, lee as always say yes.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
All right.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
So I'm trying to help me kind of clear this
up because something about this story in the NFL doesn't
make sense. So Rashi Rice got his knee mangled by
Patrick Mahomes on an interception, you know, friendly fire goes
down and.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
He's play the way.

Speaker 8 (24:37):
That's gonna be one of the most awkward moments for
a Hall of Famer ever. Oh yeah, Like, think about
any Hall of Fame quarterback. Do you ever remember there
being a moment where there was friendly fire and they
literally tore the a cl of forto one wide receiver,
Like could you imagine Jille Montana.

Speaker 6 (24:55):
A cl crazy. It's gonna be the most awkward thing ever.
That's occurred in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Yeah, very very uncomfortable the whole thing, and Patrick Mahomes
feels terrible about it.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Then the chiefs come out and they announced that Rashi
Rice is going to be placed on IR, but only
the four game version and they will not know the
extent of his injury until the swelling goes down.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
How do you not know?

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Like it's five days later, Like, how do you not
know what what the extent of the injury is?

Speaker 12 (25:26):
Like?

Speaker 5 (25:26):
How bad? Rolling?

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Okay, like everybody else in the NFL, worse.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
It could be not as bad. It's whatever it is.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
It's bad, it just might not be as bad as
people think it is in terms of how bad it is.
And the only way you can see that and imaging
is if you get the inflammation and the swelling out
of the area that they're going to, you know, do
the MRI.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
I what kind of swallowing we talk? He's not a
drowned victim, like we're.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
Swelling?

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Yeah, the body show all that stuff on So you
never seen Jaws? The point is like, how do you
not you fire?

Speaker 5 (26:10):
You know?

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Quinn when they finally discovered his body, I mean, he
looked like a you know, least floating in half. He did,
but you know, one part of him looked like a
floaty afterwards they all swollen up. The point is like,
how do you not know what this? Now here's my
sort of conspiracy theory on this.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
What's your theory?

Speaker 6 (26:28):
I like this.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
I think that they they don't want other teams out
there to know that they really desperately are in the
market for a wide receiver via trade, So they're letting
everybody kind of they're throwing smoke out there, like, oh listen,
no worri, it's just I are We're not going to
get desperate and go make a move for a wide receiver.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
Kids sitting in a trade or what are they going
to trade to get a wide receiver?

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Figure something out. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna doubt beach.

Speaker 8 (26:51):
So the test for a torn a cl is fairly simple,
and most orthopedics will tell you that they know right away.

Speaker 6 (27:00):
Then they could confirm it with an MRI. But they know.

Speaker 8 (27:02):
But to Levar's point, there might be additional damage that
they're waiting to see, like how bad it is. Either way,
I feel like this is a hope that it's not
torn maybe or maybe it's hard to tell, maybe it's
a partial tear or something. I mean, remember Ryan Tannehill
went through that one spring where it was partially torn
and he ended up having to get surgery later on

(27:24):
just because the knee wasn't stable enough. So that's the
one concern with like a wide receiver, there's no way
that would work.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Jalen Phillips like he is a partially torn ACL and
they're gonna like to have surgery for the Dolphins.

Speaker 8 (27:35):
Yeah, I mean, because you're not gonna be able to
provide the stability. It's not like the ligomanent's gonna heal itself.
So that's the difficulty is he could be just finding
out that, you know, they're still gonna have to, you know,
end the season and get surgery.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
They just want to be clear on what exactly that is.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Maybe when Peanut Tillman played for the Carolina Panthers, he
had a partially torn ACL and he just tried to
play through it and eventually just all went away because
he was trying to win a Super Bowl as last
year I think, and it was the year they went
to the Super Bowl in twenty sixteen, and apparently you know,
just at some point it just gave out. So it
didn't want to have the surgeryag didn't want he wanted

(28:13):
to try, and you know, hopefully it was going to
be stable enough to get him through the playoffs, but
ended up.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Just going anyways. So so yeah, there's that.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
And also Ed McCaffrey, the dad of Christian McCaffrey, says
that the tendonitis that his son suffered was because of
overtraining and the reason he went to Germany to get
whatever you know, blood spinning or you know Circus Vargas
act they do with your blood there in Germany while
you're watching a Ramstein concert. Apparently he did that because

(28:44):
the forty nine ers training staff told him he needed
to rest, and he wanted to try and speed up
the process, so he flew all the way over there
to get that done. And now we get to see
whether or not that pays off. So if this actually
does work and he comes back and plays this season,
I'm does this just mean that everybody else is gonna
fly over to Germany? And why aren't Why isn't this allowed?

Speaker 6 (29:04):
They've already been flying to Germany, US, they've already been doing.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
When's the last time you heard an NFL player fly
to Germany to get something done.

Speaker 8 (29:11):
I don't know about the last NFL player, but basketball
players have better for log time, co players all that.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
Soccer players do it nice.

Speaker 8 (29:19):
Yeah, I actually think it started me with Beckham.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
Why isn't it allowed in the States? What do they?

Speaker 5 (29:26):
What are they?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
What's the problem is it? They can't They can't regulate it,
so they're like, we don't want to.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
You know.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
It's like guys that are going to get stem cells
done in Colombia, It's like, why can't you just get
this stuff done in the state.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Bybe that too? So here, all right, that'll work.

Speaker 6 (29:47):
That's that's not allowed the States.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
Lvar, Oh no it is, but people just go there
to do it. I guess. Hey, and for teeth for
some reason.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Yeah, teeth over there, people get their teeth done Columbia. Yeah,
it's gonna mess with the Escobar. You'll end up in
the pond with the hippos tank.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Yeah, real story.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
So you guys think McCaffrey's going to be able to
stay healthy this season, that's to me, it's gonna be
amountant for him to be able to try and stay
healthy for this team to be at its full capacity.
But if he's not, it's almost like he leaves this
team almost identically in the same situation as he left

(30:36):
the Carolina Panthers, right like, if he can't stay healthy,
you got a guy that can tremendously change the entire
you know, look at what your offense is able to
do and opens up your your offense in so many
ways because of his versatility, and you don't have it
now you don't have.

Speaker 6 (30:55):
It, Jonas.

Speaker 8 (30:55):
Do you think do you think some of the overtraining
the offseason is related to one specific thing?

Speaker 4 (31:02):
Let me look that.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Up, his ex being his current you mean, and they're
trying to sell their house and yeah, what do you
get that there?

Speaker 5 (31:09):
You know that he goes actually are.

Speaker 6 (31:11):
Trying to sell a house, I believe though.

Speaker 7 (31:13):
Yeah, well they just bought one down the street too. Yeah,
so they're selling the last one.

Speaker 8 (31:17):
They sold the one in what North Carolina? They're then there,
they bought the one in l a h. The way
difference is they're married. They're actually announced that they're married.

Speaker 7 (31:25):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 6 (31:27):
There's much more to find your relationship in that situation.

Speaker 7 (31:30):
You're in very much so very different. Good for them.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Jeez aise, uh, well, that's part of his rehab. I
guess when they said they go reste. Okay, that's all right.
That's some physical therapy there.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Well, Ice and Stem, two Pros and a couple of
there on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox,
and coming up next, we are going to spread him
picks against the spread for Week five in the NFL.

a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and

Speaker 13 (32:12):
On Thursday morning, Chief I bumped into a friend of mine,
Herbie Robinson from Cleveland baseball player Boozing's mate. I thought
he was asleep. He's still go to wake him up.
Bopped up and down in the water. It's like a
kind of top up ended. Well, he'd been bitten in

(32:40):
half below the.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
Waist, apparently after she rised you getting the imaging done?

Speaker 8 (32:49):
Is that that's rowning you're talking about?

Speaker 3 (32:54):
By the way, Lee tell us we don't have a
lot of time for our picks against the spread, but
we bounced by with Quinn talking about his buddy floating
in the water baseball player.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
Lee loves this segment, by the way.

Speaker 7 (33:07):
It's my favorite segment.

Speaker 6 (33:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
It is two Pros and a cup of Joe here
on Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox
with you doing it live here from the tire rack
dot Com studios. Coming up top the next hour a
little over ten minutes from now. Believe it or not,
the quarterback you think you know in the NFL you don't.
We've got proof of that right here on FSR before

(33:32):

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Five lines, not those kind of lines, five picks, five spreads.
Time for Picks against the Spread?

Speaker 4 (34:00):
All right, Lee, how would do last week?

Speaker 5 (34:01):
Real quick?

Speaker 7 (34:02):
The Bucks beat the excuse me? The Bucks beat the
Eagles thirty three to sixteen.

Speaker 11 (34:06):
Jonas was the lone one on that everybody had the
Bengals beating the Panthers thirty four to twenty four. LaVar
had the money line on Washington beating the Cardinals forty.

Speaker 7 (34:15):
Two to fourteen.

Speaker 11 (34:16):
Good job, bar Jonas was the only one who had
the Chargers beating the Well, the Chiefs did beat the Chargers,
but the spread was seven and a half.

Speaker 7 (34:23):
Jonas was the only one who had that took the Chargers.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
I thought our money line that.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
When you took candall I did.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
I took Kansas City to win, Go ahead, go it.

Speaker 11 (34:36):
And lastly, nobody had the uh nobody had Baltimore beating
the Bills.

Speaker 7 (34:41):
Everybody took the Bills on that one.

Speaker 11 (34:42):
So last week Jonas four and one, LaVar contested two
and three.

Speaker 7 (34:46):
Brady won in four.

Speaker 8 (34:48):
Yeah, shut up, that's not really my segment.

Speaker 6 (34:55):
It's more Lee and Jonas's segment.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Yet it is second You and Lee just go ahead
and pick.

Speaker 11 (35:01):
All right, all right, guys, Well, hey, let's let's do
some Week five action. We got a London game, Jets
at the London Vikings. Vikings are two and a half
point favorites.

Speaker 5 (35:13):
I'm taking the Vikings Jets money line.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Well, what a ballsy pick is a two and a
half point favorite.

Speaker 8 (35:21):
Yeah, you gotta understand Vart. If they're favorited, you can't
call money line. You gotta lay the points.

Speaker 5 (35:28):
I'm laying the point. I don want to win straight up.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
I'll take the Jets just because it's better for the show.

Speaker 7 (35:35):
All right, Well, Chets.

Speaker 11 (35:37):
We have the Stefan Diggs revenge game, Bills at Texans.
Bill's are a point favorite on the road.

Speaker 5 (35:44):
Are going to cover that?

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Surprised me. I'll take Houston to getting a point.

Speaker 11 (35:51):
We have the Battle of the nf AFC North Ravens
at Bengals.

Speaker 7 (35:55):
Ravens two and a half point favorites.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Ravens take the Bengals.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
I'm taking the Bengals and a surprising victory.

Speaker 11 (36:04):
Money line Cardinals at forty nine Ers forty nine Ers
seven and a half point favorites.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
Cardinals.

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Taking the Niners.

Speaker 7 (36:15):
Sunday Night Football Cowboys at Steel Steels two.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
And a half Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (36:18):
I'm taking Cowboys the Cowboys.

Speaker 7 (36:21):
