Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's too much, Sananigan's connected to you? Man? What what
what I'm trying to sports Stock Radio? Why you said
at me? I just you know, I didn't I did
not think. I didn't catch what you said until I
was was at my destination. So let me. Believe me.
I did tell you I'd be late coming back into
(01:21):
the studio. I mean there's a pool day in California.
Delivered them kids, Brady.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
If I would have told you before the season started,
or like even in the off season that by about
week eight LeVar was going to be showing support for
Russell Wilson, would you believe me?
Speaker 2 (01:45):
No? Not based on I believe you.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
And here he is. Yeah, he's walking.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
He's walking in with a p Man Permanny brothers Russell Wilson.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Danger was man before. I don't have the Russell Wilson
sandwich on I don't know. I don't have the Russell
Wilson sandwich on my my hoodie. Nope, State College, Stay
College per man Man the p Man baby shouts out
to the p Mann. Yeah, it was coincidentally after we
(02:19):
talked about the rest dangerous dangerous. How you say it,
I don't know. It's because the danger which was.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
The danger which this one is a little different, that
didn't go well. But at p Man's they've got a
new Russell Wilson with as much sodium as you could
possibly want on a sandwich. So if you're into that,
that's your uh, that's your dip.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Into the health facts on it every day.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
It can't be healthy at all. It's got to be
one of the most healthiest sandwiches you could ever get.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Pepperoni, salami, ham, bacon.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, that's says cholesterol all on it.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
That it's like where your heart knocks on your chest
and says, hey, give it a rest up there, Like
we gotta try to live once.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
So you know, it's a fitting.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
It's fitting that a dollar of the each sandwich goes
to the children's hospital foundations. Right, just get a big
dangerous sandwich.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
I think the.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Bigger point here is that Jonas felt the need to
look at the health facts of the sandwich instead of
just maybe the cause or something behind it.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
No, that's fine. I mean, you know, it's just there's
a lot of sodium in it. I mean, if you're
into that, you're into that. Look, I had a couple
of bit.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
I'm saying, if I see someone sandwich that they're announcing
is coming out, I'm not looking at the health facts
of it.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Okay, Well, I mean that that's why You've always told
me that I'm built different. So I'm just playing my
part here.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
You built different, So.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
You've called yourself that more than anyone.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Yeah, hashtag built different. Who doesn't know that Jerry Jones
is built different?
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (03:57):
And that man, now that's a dude that's built different
pace for certain.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
So lost in the chaos of him having to respond
to why they didn't acquire Derrick Henry and what the
meltdown on radio is all about last week with Sean
and Rjay in Dallas, Jerry Jones also kind of threw
this in there on the fan and this doesn't sound
(04:23):
too hot for Mike McCarthy.
Speaker 7 (04:25):
Our situation is more about, frankly, it's more about holding
your blocks. It's more about not making mistakes. It's more about,
in my mind, the receivers running through a tough man
demand coverage and running on through it. The types of
things that we all think we should be looking at
(04:46):
is well, we're designing bad plays or we're designing bad concepts.
The facts are that there's some of that, but there's
also some of execution. There are some of the talent.
I like our talent. I really do like our talent.
I like our young talent, but young talent has a
(05:06):
few more mistakes associated with it than than if you
are dealing with a veteran player.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
So you know, kind of called out the offense there,
called out the the play design. Mike McCarthy was also
asked about this and responded like this.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
I thought, Jerry all the time.
Speaker 8 (05:24):
You know, we've had time to go through the cell scout,
so I can't really I didn't see the comments specifically,
so but I don't think we have bad haships in
that place. But I'll go back and check.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Talk about unraveling.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
It's just like Mike McCarthy's like, okay, dude, what do
you want to do about it?
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Like, because at some point you got to be able
to look back on times like these and be like,
you know what, like I wasn't a chump. I ain't
go out like no chump, like I know y'all might
have thought I was, or I was going. Let me
go back and see what what what does do to
talking about man oh Man talking all his head like bruh.
If you want to coach the team, here's the playbook,
(06:07):
here's the play calls. In fact, if you want to
bring your own playbooks and your play calls and your
own coaching staff, do it. You do it like you
talk about how much you know and who's best to
make the decisions every single week coach the team. Isn't
that like the final frontier? I would love to see it, Like,
(06:29):
let's be clear, Jerry Jones needs to make the next
hire of the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys himself.
He needs to lead this team. I feel like that's
a final frontier because what he did right there, you're
undermining your head coach. Now. Now he's going to get
(06:49):
judged to be a head coach that leads the way
and does things the right way, but you're sitting there
and you're undermining his authority with the players. Players sit
there and be like, yeah, Jerry Jones said, this is
what we're the fishing in. Jerry Jones said that we
can't do this. Jerry Jones said this, that and the other.
Sound like Jerry Jones need to be doing to play calling.
(07:10):
Now you don't think the players are talking to one
another about it, Like y'all, y'all see what Jerry was saying. Dang,
I just you know, I think that it's he's making
poortant to see if he wants this to be the
all in year. Some of the things he's saying and
doing in media. I wonder if he's aware of the
damage that he does when he says some of the
stuff that he says, because this doesn't sound like or
(07:33):
feel like this is an all in season as to
how you're approaching it as the Dallas Cowboys, all right,
I can.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
Only compare this to like a grandparent, And then my
grandma's still around, So maybe this is relatable to some
people out there.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Maybe it's relatable to you guys.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
But I feel like grandparents get to a certain point
in their lives where they don't really care what people
think of what they say, and they just say it
and it's from their perspective, and I don't know that
it's ill intended or malicious in any way. I think
they just sort of like, this is how I feel,
this is what I think, and they say it. So
(08:08):
that's kind of feeling where Jerry Jones is at in
his life right, Like he's kind of like that grandpa
that isn't afraid just to speak on exactly how he
feels or what he sees and not really concerned about
the repercussions, you know, to Mike McCarthy in this case,
or his team for that matter.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
So I don't know.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
I mean, I'm not sure if the final Frontiers him coaching,
it would be pretty amazing.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
If that was the case.
Speaker 6 (08:30):
I think, yeah, it'd be amazing to think about how
much better the press conference would be post game and
everything else, and I don't know, maybe to grow to
have a.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Better appreciation for that position. But that being said, I.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
The way they run, the way they do business has
been great in one aspect, but not when it comes
necessarily getting the wins they're hoping for in the postseason.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
I mean the regular season.
Speaker 6 (08:58):
This has been a playoff team, winning football team, and
it gives them that hope. So I don't know. I mean,
it's I'm not sure. I'm not sure what the fix is.
I know, defensively they've really struggled this year, but I'm
not sure Jerry Jones is gonna change that. I don't
think it's their you know, offensive creativity or play design
(09:18):
like that's not it either. The O line's not what
it once used to be. The running game obviously is
non existent, and obviously they have to win more and
shootouts because the way the defense is played. So it
kind of is what it is, right now that's just
that's the identity of this team.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
And then all in year, Yeah, it's.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Just well every year it feels like an all in
the year for Dallas, is it not.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah, but they've made it a statement like we're all in.
This is all in.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Like he's almost it's almost like he, Jerry Jones, is
in denial over what happened in the playoff game against
Green Bay, Like, nah, that can't be it, not this team. No, no, no, no, no,
We'll do it again. No, We're gonna do it the
exact same way with the exact same roster virtually, you know,
maybe a couple of different missing pieces, but no, no,
we're nah, no that what happened last year? Not I
(10:06):
don't buy it, And like here we are, and he
still hasn't come to terms with the fact that, like, no,
you probably did need to address the running back position,
and you probably could have had Derrick Henry and you
chose not to. And all you've done is put the
heat on everybody in the organization to have to answer
for your commentary because you want to do two hits
a week on local radio in Dallas when no other
owner in the NFL does that. It's just like the
(10:29):
whole thing is such a circus, but it's a ten
billion dollar circus.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
So I just don't know. They're three and three right now. Yeah,
they're not out of it, all right, but look at
their schedule. I give I give them three more wins,
four more wins.
Speaker 6 (10:47):
Six and eleven is what you're predicting. Three, four more wins,
seven and ten is what you're predicting. I give them
three four more wins. Man, maybe fave, maybe fave eight
and nine is you're predicting tops tops. Wow, I give
them five more wins.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
I mean, I'm listen. They're they're freedome.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Six more game, six more wins. No, I'm a cap
off at five. You're capping it at five.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Yeah, I'm a cap. I think that's their sealing.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
So when people say no, cap, you're saying cap.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
I'm saying all the way cap it at five. Damn,
that's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Cold blooded. I'm sorry, sounds like a guy. I used
to play them twice a year and two.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
I want to go through them, all right, Yeah, let's
go go through it. Do you have some game show
music we can play here as we go?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yeah, that would be helpful. I don't think I can
do this without game show music. Thank you. Oh that's perfect,
all right.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Sunday night at the forty nine.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Ers loss, Brady. They're kind of banged up right now.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
They are, so are the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Yeah, loss, all.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Right, following what no, no, come on, cue what you got.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
I'll say loss, tough one on the road. They're not favored.
We know that.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Tough one on the road. Following week at the Falcon
on the road again, I don't I mean, that's a
winnable game after.
Speaker 6 (12:10):
Yeah, after the way they played this past week for Seattle. Yes,
that's that's winnable.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
I'm still saying that's a loss because it's in Atlanta. Okay,
home against the Eagles.
Speaker 6 (12:22):
See, now, if they're going to beat the Eagles, that
would be the town to do it.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah, I'm going to say that's going to be a loss.
I mean, they've been terrible at home.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
That's the problem is theyre Yeah, they're undefeated on the road.
I'm gonna say they win that one though.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Okay, so you're giving them two wins so far. Home
against the Texans on Monday night, that's a loss. That's
a loss at the Commanders. That's a loss. On a short.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Week, it's probably a loss.
Speaker 7 (12:50):
Yea.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Uh. Then they turn to win, turn around on Thanksgiving.
That's Thanksgiving against the Giants.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Okay, they'll get that. Are they in New York at
the Dallas it's.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
In Dallas, so it's giving a special So you're up
to three.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
I'm up to one. I gave them one so far.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
So that's kind of a weird stretch there, just looking
at it. So they've got the Monday night game against
the Texans, then they're playing on the Sunday against the Commanders,
and then they turn around on the Thursday and they're
playing the Giants. So that's three games in what the
span of yees seventeen days? What is Yeah, So that's
there's a lot going on there. Potentially no ten days,
(13:28):
So three games and ten days. Then they've got the
Bengals after that at home. Give them a loss.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
At the Panthers, that's a dove.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
It's a win. That's four for me.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
If you're wondering if there's wholesale changes there in season,
it would be if they lost to the Panthers. Then
home against the Buccaneers.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
That's a loss. Even though they're banged up bad. They
don't have a receiver. I don't know what they look like.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Eventually, they're going to start winning games at home.
Speaker 6 (13:56):
Like it can't be over for the season at just
you've got the right now for for the season at home.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I'm sorry, I'm just looking at the matchup at the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
They'll lose that one.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
They're gonna lose, okay, and then the final game of
the season home against the Command, they'll get that one.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
See. I think they can get the nine wins. I
think they can get six. I think they get six's like, yeah, three.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
I'm a cap I'm a cap of the mount five. Five.
I didn't say six the five, I'd say five or
six games.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
I think there, Hold on, you picked them to win
three when we just did this activity.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
How you're trying to give them two extra wins? I said,
I'm a cap. It off at five. There's two in
there that they're going to get. Why are you front
and bar?
Speaker 2 (14:45):
What do you mean? I mean, stand on it.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
I'm standing. I just told you for the games, I
thought that they were gonna lose. But I'm a captain.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Say three, I'm a cap of man. I said three
I gave him a picks, so.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
They win six total? Then I mean that stand on it.
Stand on it, for I just told you.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
The games I thought they could win versus the games
they would lose. Thank you, I gave you. I capped
it again. I'm going to be wrong at least two times.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Six picks again.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Sticks picks, three more wins.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
That's right, So six total with the swarm of bees
at the front of the another one, another.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
One, sticks picks, three.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
More wins, three more wins.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
I can't give a pick because I had them going
to the super Bowl before the season, so I'm eliminated
from contention.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Uh, I don't qualify for this because.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
I mis read them.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
I think they're better. The better bet is how many
days will it take for Jerry Jones to fire Mike
McCarthy when the season concludes? Oh, next day, next day?
Over under on that queue.
Speaker 6 (16:03):
If he loses to Carolina, I don't know that he'll
make the post game press conference.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
But if he goes eight and nine or nine and eight,
that's not enough.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Yeah, well we don't. We don't know if nine and eight.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Might get him into playoffs? Not no, But but is
that good enough? Because they're not going to do anything
in the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
Here's the thing is, I'm not running off any team
that gets in the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Okay, it's a new season.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Yeah, it's a new season. You never know.
Speaker 6 (16:31):
Now the Cowboys haven't had they haven't had the best
run of luck.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
If they go nine and eight and they're going on
the road as the seventh seed in the.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Playff and maybe maybe better for them.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
Yeah, Jerry Jones might fire Mike McCarthy before the playoff.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Dang, we already know how this is going.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
We need that home playoff game revenue. Like you want
to get blown out, that's fine. At least get people
through the turnstiles.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
And they did not.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
So there you go a lot of optimism for the
Dallas Cowboys here on this show.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Well, I mean, Jerry Jones has given all the antidotes
and solutions to them having success, So all they have
to do is execute it.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Sticks picks spamn.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, tick that. You know.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
It's crazy time sticks picks.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
There's going to be one or two games that I'm
wrong about, but Dallas is going to balance it out.
Oh yeah, they're going to balance it out. I picked
them to lose this game. And they want it, but
they're going to balance it out by losing.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
The Yeah, they'll win at Philly by forty and then
lose to the Panthers.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
It is pretty crazy, man, Like.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
That's one of the things like about the NFL that
every week you feel like you're kind of playing coaching
for your job.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
At times.
Speaker 6 (17:52):
It's very seldom that, like people feel comfortable on a
roster or coaching.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
You just got to wear it for a week.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
He can't come.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
I mean, it's there is such a fluctuation in the
emotions and the way people talk to you handle things
after a win or after a loss.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
It is night and day difference.
Speaker 6 (18:12):
And I feel like a lot of people have described
it as like riding the wave right and a lot
of times, like when you get stuck at the bottom
of a man and you get tumbled over with that
like you can you can drownd in it if you
let your head like get too far down and you
could be at the highest of it thing you're about
ready to like rip off and surf for a little
bit on the top of that wave, and you can
(18:34):
also find yourself tumbling back down into it. Like it
is a tough way to manage a season. You'd like
to be able to be like somewhere or even killing between.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
You know, yeah, it's just crazy to think, bruh. Like
you come into a position of power, like being the
head coach of a team like Dallas, Imagine what the
office looks like. Imagine how the head coach is treated
and the like the respect factor that the building to
give the head coach. In the moment that they get fired,
(19:06):
it all changes. It's gone, box it up. It's gone.
Like you re remodeled his office. It looks amazing. Hell,
you remodeled the whole entire facility. You on borrowed time.
Enjoy this rent this rental because you on borrowed time.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Off off subject completely.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
But I forgot to mention this when we went off
the segment with a bad beat that I took last
night with Liberty not even coming close to covering and
losing out right. Florida International their uniforms last night, sweet,
I don't know if you've seen those. They have like
a Miami Vice edition. It's one of the coolest things
they do. You gotta check them out. It's fire me sick.
(19:48):
Don Johnson back the day, Johnas I know you can
relate to that.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
Oh yeah, let me see see check these out real quick.
Speaker 6 (19:53):
You see it, man, the kind of fire and they
paint the end zones too. It just says vice in
the end zone.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Kind of all those are sweet, kind of look like
the old Dolphins, well like the old Houston Oilers a.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Little bit, okay, a little bit.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Yeah, those are sweet, very very bright, you know, yeah, man,
like Miami bright.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
They probably ended up losing the sam Houston State last night,
but that being said, yeah, but they could.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Probably beat the Dolphins though at this point.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Two us coming back.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Yeah, two pros.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Oh no oh no, oh no, oh no, all right.
You ever see them, you know, like reproduce like you
ever see dolphins. It's the wildest thing ever in the world. Man,
YouTube that on your free time.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
I'm good.
Speaker 6 (20:41):
Are you asking if you are going to go watch
dolphins mating algorithm?
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Check it out.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
I'm not gonna put that in my searchest.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
It'll have you laughing, bro, there's a couple that have
you laughing your ass off. Dolphins is one. Turtles. Turtles
are one. We had turtles growing up.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Turtles.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
They sound like a grown.
Speaker 4 (21:01):
Ass man, like, let' me tell you something you should
have a turtle to a blue You read telling me.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
You've watched multiple animals meeting.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
I'm into animals like I'm into like I grew up
National Geographic Era time.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
You remember Marty Staffer, the old Yeah, we had a
we had desert tortoises growing up. And when they would
get going that.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
They sound like grown ass people. They sound like people. Bro, Yeah,
they sound like sandy start like like, so that's that's
what they sounded like.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here Fox Sports
Radio coming up next, we are going to have some
redemption here on this show. Somebody wants another bite at
the apple. They've got something to prove. You'll hear from
them right here on FSR.
Speaker 9 (22:02):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
Right now, somebody is looking at their record when it
comes to Quinn's Wednesdays. It's not about the most recent,
it's about the overall. Forget what happened to Kennesaw State
last night, and the huge upset they pulled off.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Forget all that. It's time for some retribution right now.
Speaker 5 (22:33):
I'm a winner.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
Listen up winning, here's all illnesses, it really does.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
I'm going to win. It's Quinn's wins.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Yeah, looks everyone out there.
Speaker 6 (22:42):
I apologize for last last night's debacle. Okay, got caught
up in the sauce, if you will, Rober's betting sauce,
not like Lee and whatever sauce he's talking about. But
in all seriousness, stick to the plan. Just stick to Thursdays,
all right. I don't know why I wanted to pick
a Wednesday game. I thought it might work out well
for us. Felt really confident about that pick, and very
(23:05):
similar to Matt rule after getting blown out by Indiana.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
I did not see that coming.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
So we move on, all right, we move on, Lee.
I'm sure you can look up the overall record. But
we were two and one last week, so Thursdays we're
we're still rolling here. Let's start off with a matchup
between Georgia Southern headed to Old Dominion. They're actually getting
two points last time I checked out. That line may
have gone down since then, potentially to only getting a
(23:30):
point either way. Take the point. Take the two points
wherever you can get that bet. I think Georgia Southern
will take care of business. They've been one of the
better teams too against the spread this season, and in
fact Old Dominion, who's actually a favorite in this case,
has struggled to be able to handle it as being
the favorite. So I'm looking for Georgia Southern, who's, you know, defensively,
(23:53):
been pretty solid for the most part throughout the course
of the season, in particular the.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Last three games, this three game winning.
Speaker 6 (23:59):
Streak that they're on the for six total turnovers, been
allowing about one hundred and fifty less yards per game.
And Old Dominion's got a quarterback in Colton Joseph who's
kind of ignited them a little bit.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
But this is still a team that really struggles to
throw the football.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
It's mostly the ground game, mostly a one dimensional offense,
even though Joseph has improved the Old Dominion passing attack.
But take the point, take the two points, whatever line
you can find it at.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Go with Georgia Southern on this one.
Speaker 6 (24:29):
The next matchup is one that I'm extremely excited about,
in part because you've got a couple of quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Who are playing at a really high level.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
Kyle McCord has been phenomenal this season for Syracuse, one
of the most productive quarterbacks in college football. Remember, he
was the old Ohio State quarterback. They couldn't give him
the reassurance he'd be the guy going into the season,
so he transferred to Syracuse and he's never looked back.
On the flip side of this one, though, you have
a Pittsburgh defense that's not necessarily as good as they've
(24:57):
been in the past, and I think Pat Nardusi would
be the first to tell you that. That being said,
though they're finding ways of getting off the field, they're
finding ways of winning football games.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
This pit is still undefeated and then.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
Led by the freshman quarterback Eli Holston, who look at
a rough outing versus cow no and you got to
kind of look past that. But outside of it, this
offense has been fast paced, it's been explosive.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
It's been one that can put up a lot of points.
Speaker 6 (25:19):
So you're gonna lay the six and a half points
here with Syracuse going to Pittsburgh, lay the six and
a half points. That's where I got that lineup. That's
where we're still at. And then finally Thursday, Night football.
The Minnesota Vikings headed to LA to take on the Rams.
A lot of storylines this week about the Vikings and
(25:40):
Rams potentially look kind of trade for Matt Stafford. A
lot of those rumors that come out. I don't know
how legitimate any of them are. But Sam Darnold's playing
about as good as anyone at the quarterback position so
far this season.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
So short week typically plays to the home team.
Speaker 6 (25:54):
But it's gonna be tough when you've got a locker
room with a bunch of guys who feel like they're
trying to get rid to Stafford, they're trying to get
rid of Cooper Cup. That's never easy. Go ahead and
lay the three points there with Minnesota. I think that defense,
the Brian Flores defensive scheme too, will force Matthew Stafford
into some poor plays and they're not gonna have the
offensive firepower to keep up with the Minnesota Vikings. So
(26:17):
lay the three points here on Thursday Night football. There
it is there, you go.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
See that's the attitude, all right, And I've had to
deal with that my whole life. When it comes to gambling,
you're gonna lose, maybe lose by a lot, but you
know what, You get back up, dust yourself off, and
go back for more. Walk right back up to the
window and say I'd like some more smoke please, and
continue on.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
That's the way that works, by the way, But how
do you do when you lose so often?
Speaker 4 (26:44):
You just got to have thick skin. You can't you
can't let her memory. Yeah, you can't let them get
you down.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
You just what about when you run out of money? Dang?
Speaker 1 (26:53):
I mean if you have a son and he's got
a piggy bank, sorry, or leverage that credit. You know
that's what some parents do. Yeah, you could do that.
You could do that.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
The Matt Stafford trade, I just don't get it, and
I don't buy it for a second. I don't know
why that's a rumor or why that's out there. It
just doesn't make any sense to me. Like Cooper cup
I kind of understand. I don't understand the Matt Stafford stuff,
Like I really don't, because what's what's the plan actually
going to turn it over to Jimmy g or Stetson Bennett,
(27:24):
Like I just that one doesn't make any sense to me.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
That feels like, well, the other thing is everyone's so
nice in Minnesota.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
I mean, I'm not sure that they're gonna put up
with a quarterback. What's a photographer fall off a stand
and not help her?
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Geez? What did we have an update? Where where are
they at now? Type deal?
Speaker 4 (27:46):
All the camer lady that fell off the state was
broken from that? Yeah, Lee, can you find her whereabouts?
Speaker 7 (27:55):
Not?
Speaker 1 (27:55):
I don't mean like actually bring her in studio for
an interview.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
I'm just saying I'll look into it. Did you ever
find an overall record too on Quinn's wins? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (28:07):
No.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
If I asked you, though, we're the nearest liquor stories
of the studio right now, would you know that?
Speaker 5 (28:14):
Yeah, world, Wines of the world. Thanksfully, Wines of the
world got to know our limitations.
Speaker 4 (28:27):
Tang like he was insulted. You would even ask you that, Yeah,
wine into the world.
Speaker 6 (28:35):
Uh yes, sorry, I would just see it if you
had that part of your job.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
He'll prepare us for the show.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
But yeah, I got it here somewhere.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Thanks man.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Oh man.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Uh so hey, look, it feels like a bounce back night.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
It feels like everything's gonna go fine.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
But yeah, the the rumblings about potential trades for the
l A Rams, and Uh, it's funny Minnesota has been
brought up. Has Sam Darnold had a bad game this year,
like a game you could look at in Minnesota and
be like, oh god, yeah, that that's that's the one
we recognize from New York. I don't think he has
like they they've been.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
To play well enough for him to win this past game.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Yeah, but I mean like he played well enough to
have him in that game and they were in position
to win. Yeah, and it was a field goal late.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I mean, he was pretty damn good. He could play
what like eighty percent of his passes on wasn't good enough.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
I mean, he's played better than Jared Matt Stafford this year. Yeah,
still wasn't good enough. I mean, which is how good
is That's the Rams think.
Speaker 6 (29:45):
But but that's the surprising thing about the whole report
that the Rams would be, you know, looking at Stafford
and trading him to the Vikings, is how does that
come out?
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Is there interest from the Vikings?
Speaker 6 (29:56):
Like I understand O'Connell's there, there's familiar with the offense.
They probably feel like it. This dude's won a Super Bowl.
He's you know, put himself in a position to be
a Hall of Famer. Yeah, we'd like to bring that
on on a roster. But like watching Donald, it's not
like he's leaving plays out there. It doesn't feel like it.
I mean the win over the Jets was probably the
worst he's played this season. If you're talking about Sam
(30:18):
Donald his play. But I sit there and look at.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
This, just go all right.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
I mean, maybe they look the past two weeks, they're
one and one, they didn't win versus Detroit, and they're
looking at and being overly critical about that, and they
look at the Jets games say we didn't feel like
he really didn't play well that game. It just it
doesn't make any sense why the Vikings would be interested
with Jaj McCarthy as the future and Sam Donald is
the here and now. I don't get it, man, Like
(30:45):
I could see it from the Rams perspective, but I
cannot see it from the Vikings.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Yeah, I agree. I don't think you're you're upgrading by
doing that. And Sam Donald, you know, he could be
like that, that type of quarterback. Like I'm trying to
think of the right right example, but like a like
a retrack guy that that ends up being your starter
for you know, quite rich rich Gannon is a good one.
(31:12):
That's a good great Like in my mind, I was thinking, like,
is it like a Jake Delom, Is it a Tommy
Maddox something like that, Like that's a little bit more
extreme maybe of an example.
Speaker 4 (31:22):
I think the more interesting question would be at the
end of this year, if they continue to play well,
they're a playoff team, not saying they're a super Bowl team,
but let's you know, playoff team and he's had a
good year.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
What do you do with McCarthy?
Speaker 4 (31:34):
Then the conversation comes like, how do you let him
walk out the door after a success?
Speaker 1 (31:39):
How do you take his starting job away? How do
you justify that for the unknown?
Speaker 2 (31:43):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (31:45):
That's a hard one. Yeah, because he's still he's not old. No,
he's not old.
Speaker 10 (31:49):
So it's kind of it's a good it's a it's
a it would be a good question to have to
answer because you have a whole entire rookie contract.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Me could turn into a Jordan Love situation. You would
want that. I'm telling you, you don't want to ruin
your quarterbacks based off of you know, like the rush factor.
You don't want to just rush them in and if
you could hold on and you're still competitive to try
to win a super Bowl, and you give that first
(32:21):
rounder an opportunity to really mature, develop and grow into
being a real professional after And I would say that
for most any position, to be honest, if you're able
to give them that type of time, you're doing something right.
So I mean they might have stumbled onto something pretty
special with Sam Darnold, and with the type of personnel
(32:42):
that they have that they're able to hold everything together.
I mean this could be a pretty good team, pretty
dog on good team. I mean, it's crazy that they
got to be in the same division as Detroit's crazy
even saying that that's you're in the same division as
Detroit because you're going to have to contend with and
for what it's worth, I think Green Bay is going
to be that team as well. You got very competitive
NFC North and and if I can be competitive with
(33:05):
Sam Darnold the way he's playing right now and he
earns it, that's that's a hard one to justify saying, Okay,
we're going to go from you back to the original
draft pick that we were thinking we were going to use.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yeah, we'll see how it plays out.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
It is Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here

Yeah?
Speaker 1 (33:55):
What about him and that receiver's receiver show where he
was singing going back to when they were what were
they going to play San Francisco? I think in the show? Oh,
and he was singing this all day.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
Give me a run for the show for the song. Huh,
you have a lot of run for the song.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
I guess. Back in the popularity, I mean, I don't know.
I mean, bad boys kind of a popular topic right now,
So I don't know how you want to go with that.
You know it is out there. Yeah, that's Biggie though,
isn't it. Well, Biggie is bad boy, is he?
Speaker 2 (34:32):
He didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
I don't know, dang, And I'll be honest. Isn't that
how Puffy became famous? It was Biggie Biggie Mary J.
Blige one twelve the Locks.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
I stay away from any puffy conversation.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
Me too. I mean, I'm not even going to say
puffy bottoms anymore. When y'all say red ass, I mean,
I'm retiring all things puffy related, you know, red ass still,
But I say puffy bottom. You know y'all say red
ass or you know, red hot ass. What y'all say,
I'd say puffy bottom, red ass?
Speaker 4 (35:02):
A party we do, I don't know. Top of next hour,
I do definitely do. I'm gonna throw a little parlay
party here on the Shoe.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
You gotta stay away from all these topics. You know,
we're straight radio ques on the Big Show. You know
he's gotta stay politically correct, you know, I don't.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
I just here's the.
Speaker 6 (35:18):
Thing is, I don't know enough about any of what's
happening inside of like what I hear every once in
a while, so me neither.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
I just yeah, I don't know enough. I'm not going
to go into any detail.
Speaker 4 (35:28):
I don't know enough about anything, and I just fire
away hot takes for three hours a day.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
I mean, you're so good at it too. Dot give
me a topic, I'll get you. Retire back to your coffin.
Then you go reset and recharge to come do the
night again.

Lamar wants to throw Slinson complete Henry the five.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
The King is in five touchdown passes for Lamar and
with six thirty two.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Left up play at Tampa the Hazel.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Lebarn Easy Money. That award goes to Lamar Jackson. He
is the leader to win MVP right now according to
the betting odds, and he is our Express pros Pro
the Week that call courtesy of the Ravens Radio Networks.
So congratulations to Lamar Jackson, you are Express Prospro of
the Week. So it took one game in prime time
(37:02):
and all of a sudden the betting odds shifted completely
there for Lamar Jackson. I'm still gonna roll Josh Allen.
I think Josh Allen's gonna get the award this year
for MVP five to one thing out five to one.
The way he's playing right now, him and Lamar up
for it.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
I about to say, I mean, I think Lamar Jackson,
if he keep playing away he's playing, it's going to
be hard.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Mister Jackson.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
Jackson, I am for real.
Speaker 6 (37:31):
Do you feel like there might be though an element
of like, hey, you want to last year?
Speaker 2 (37:36):
You know, joshins won and before the Mahomes fell victim
to that.
Speaker 6 (37:41):
It's like, once you threw fifty touchdowns won the MVP,
it's like, well, now he kill win an MVP, liss
he throws over fifty touchdown passes.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
You know what works in Lamar Jackson's favor is he
still has room to show he's the guy. Just don't
come up sure. I mean, I guess the award's already
decided determined before playoffs, still right, So yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Yeah, regular season, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
I mean, if if it's close, keeps playing away, he's
playing bro I don't think anybody's going to beat him.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
I mean, if it's close and Josh Allen gets it
over him, why is he going to get it?
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Yeah? Why is he going to get I know exactly,
I got you? Why up top? We'll take that award back?
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Yeah, you take it back, os.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Yeah. God
