Congratulations to one of our affiliates, the Blowtorch, A five
to seventy LA Sports the home of the now world
champion Los Angeles Dodgers who get it done last night.
Congratulations to all involved, take care of business and what

(01:17):
you know. As Petros pointed out, there's probably some people
maybe at Fox or maybe Don Martin who we're hoping
to extend this thing a little bit. But clearly the
better team and the Yankees were totally outmatched and basically
gagged away that fifth inning and then we're just on
their heels the entire time afterwards.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
It was close.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yeah, So congratulations to the Dodgers. They celebrated by what
would you.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Rank that World Series?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
By the way, like, did you do you leave it
thinking like kind of home underwhelming?

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:51):
For La versus New York, right, Like it was just
built up to be this great series. I kept envisioning
like a Game seven for the Ages, and it really
could have went four.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
I mean it really could have. It was it was
hype though. The hype met the hype, but it just
didn't live up to it. But it was hyped like
people were watching, people were tuned in. I'd be curious
as to what the ratings were. The bet you the
are pretty.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Good if the if major League Baseball is smart, they
should make every Padres Dodgers game next year in primetime,
every single one, just like the Yankees and Red Sox
used to be, Like it's the best rivalry in baseball.
That was the best series of the bunch. Yankees Guardians
had a lot of moments, well like if you've got

(02:38):
an opportunity, throw that bad boy in primetime.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
It's more of the networks than anyone else.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
But yeah, I mean figure it out, like somebody get
together and figure out how you can put those two
teams on center stage as many times as possible, because
that's the best rivalry in baseball. Like that. That series
was a classic. This oneh just kind of there were moments,
Freddy Freeman. It was great, but it just you know,
and Dodger fans celebrated by lighting cars and buses on

(03:04):
fires and looting. So you know, there's there's.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
I'll get some microwaves, you know, let's go get a
TV or tat.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Let's go get some sneakers because we won it. Hey,
parades coming up first once, want it all. Let's go
jack up some business from some storefronts.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
You know, I've never prayed the last time. They just won.
In twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Uh, you know, the country was shut down. No no parades.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
In twenty twenty, the country was shut down. Yeah, yeah,
I don't know that's true.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Well, some parts of the country were shut down more
so than others, so there was no parade then. Now,
speaking to twenty twenty, it has been brought up that
maybe that World Series was Yeah, I don't want to
say tainted is the right word, but you know, maybe
a little flawed, maybe not the same as other World
Series based on the shortened season and the fact that
they had to play a game and finish the World

(03:55):
Series in neutral territory against the Tampa Bay Rays and
all that, and so the Dodgers have been hearing it.
Roberto our former technical producer, he also had been making
comments and sent us a text message about this twenty
twenty World Series and some people doubting that. I think
Walker Bueller made a comment about it postgame last night,

(04:16):
And there was also Dave Roberts who was asked about
that twenty twenty World Series. Take a listen.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
I'm going to take the high road. You know, it's
hard to win a championship, regardless of you know, what
your team is like. It's hard and there's a reason
why there hasn't been a repeat champion since the Yankees
did it, and so it clearly speaks to the difficult
the playoff format all that stuff. And so I'm going
to be in the moment and I'm going to enjoy
the heck out of this one. And I'm sure there's

(04:43):
no asterix on this one.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah. So parade is set for Friday and they're going
to party their asses off. And Lee, you said you're
going to try and go to the parade on Friday.
Is that debating?

Speaker 7 (04:53):
But yeah, Mike, yes, Friday. Just take the messhow down there?

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Lee? You should because you never know when they will
get shut down again, Lakers or Dodgers if they have
success like that. I mean, And by the way, just
to point this out, Tampa Bay did have a parade
after the they won the Super Bowl through during COVID.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
So ye, California is different for some reason. I don't know.

Speaker 7 (05:12):
Yeah, but they were on boats, so it doesn't you know,
that's how you can do it.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Uh, that is not true as far as the fans though,
but it's.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Hey, I mean they you know, they did them on Uh,
if you're if you've got the water right there. Why
wouldn't you do it on? Look at look at the fans, man,
what are you.

Speaker 8 (05:36):
All? Right?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah, don't what you're talking about?

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Just see what they was that the I thought that
was my wedding. No, that was not your.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Wedding, bro, that was that was the celebrations in the
streets led Are they still going on right now? There's
people they say there's live like this is live.

Speaker 9 (05:54):
Yeah, they're shutting down a lot of downtown l A
right now. If you're trying to get to uh to
work this morning and using the metro, good luck.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Oh wow wow. I mean that's how you celebrate, you know,
World Series champions. So congratulations of the Dodgers. I mean
that's not normal there in other places.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
I don't believe, so, I don't.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I know in Philly they eat horse crap off the ground.
They you know, punched a horse, They.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
Greased they horse crab. I don't remember that.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
There's a video of a guy in a Randall Cunningham
jersey on his hands and knees ew that's disgusting, so gross.
But none of this stuff makes sense. Why can't you
just celebrate and be happy like and just have a
couple of cold ones, celebrate with your family, think about
the family members that aren't here to see it. No, Instead,

(06:48):
it's like anybody want to blender, anybody want to light
this bus on fire? Like let's like anybody want to
eat feces off the ground. None of it makes sense.
I don't get it. Meanwhile, they want to condemn Yankee
fans who are simply trying to get a ball out
of a glove. That's it, and made the rounds and
became very famous afterwards. So I guess there's two ways

(07:10):
you can handle that. As if you're a fan, there's
only one way to party on this show every single Thursday,
and that's with a little parlay party. So I gotta know,
all right, you guys ready to throw this parlay party?
Because Lee, if I'm not mistaken, I think we're on
a heater, right. I think if we won the last
two weeks on these DraftKings parlay parties in the NFL.

Speaker 9 (07:28):
We did win week eight, and I believe we won
week six. I don't think we went we were one
off on week seven.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Hm, well, two out of three to eight. Bad. So
it is time for another parlay party here on the show.
We'd like to make this easy out everybody. We will
take a money line pick and the three of us
are going to put them all together and we're going
to see what the payout is going to be. So,
Brady Quinn, you gotta pick one money line pick this

(07:53):
weekend in the NFL. Who you going?

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Oh, it's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I don't want to take a big spread like we
have in the past, but I also want to keep
the straight going. So I'm gonna take the Buffalo Bills
land six at home taking on the Dolphins. No Tyreek
Hill practice yesterday that was a little odd.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Is something going on there?

Speaker 1 (08:19):
There is the trade deadline looming, some teams in need
of a wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Just kind of wonder if that's maybe on the horizon.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
So I'm gonna go ahead and take the Bills versus
the Miami Dolphins.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Alright, Ba, No, you go it, all right. I'm actually
gonna be the one who's got the balls on this
show to go out on a limb. Hear, all right?
And so for that, I'm gonna take the Baltimore Ravens
to beat the Broncos at home. Outright right, I'm gonna
take them to win that game. Outright, They are a small,
just a slight minus four to five on the money

(08:52):
line favorite to win that game. So I'm gonna go
ahead and take Baltimore to bounce back after that awful
performance against the Cleveland Brown last week and to get
it done against the Denver Broncos, who've got some wins,
but most of them against bad team.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
You have the odds up on your computer. What's the
what's the largest? Give me the first.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
It's one of the biggest spreads. So which ones are
the ones he just picked? He picked? He's why we
can't drive more value out of these picks.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
What what's the what's the largest point spreads? Like that one?

Speaker 4 (09:22):
It's that and then Chiefs and Buccaneers.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Yeah, I'm not going with that one. I mean the
the Eagles are seven and a half point favorite hosting
the Jags. No, not going with that one. The Vikings
are a five point favorite hosting the Colts. No. No,
You've also got these Saints a seven and a half
point favorite on the road.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
At How are the Titans favorite over the Patriots? Don't
I don't get that.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
I don't know what's the uh, what's the point spread?
Of the Chargers and the Browns.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
The Chargers are a point and a half favorite at
the Browns.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
So what what how good would the odds be on
the money line on that one?

Speaker 2 (10:00):
You're taking the Chargers. No, you're gonna bolt up or
bolt down?

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Hell yeah, A famous jamis even money on the Browns
to be Let's go, let's go, bar.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I don't know that I want to do that ride
the hot hand. I think the Browns are going to win.
That might be cut of bad karma. If you're taking
an Ohio team this weekend, you know what, You're right,
I'm gonna stay out of Maybe we should take a
I'm gonna stay out of there. All right.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
Let's let's talk about the Cowboys and the Falcons. What's
that one?

Speaker 8 (10:28):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
The Cowboys and Falcons? Efforting, efforting, efforting?

Speaker 8 (10:33):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
The Dallas Cowboys three point underdogs at the Falcons. There's
my money line, right, the Cowboys win out right? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (10:40):
All right?

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Plus the sticks picks stick picks.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
I'm gonna take Dallas to beat the Falcon. All right,
thank you? Barho.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
That's from what is that from?

Speaker 2 (10:55):
I don't know, just made it for him.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Yeah, that's from that's from stick City, what I beats,
I'm taking Dallas over the Falcons, money line sticks picks.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
I need to get closer to Veto so you can
get some. I've talked to him once on the phone.
We had a great conversation.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
I mean, you guys might be distant relatives, you know,
it might be yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Well yeah, I keep trying to get my grandma to
admit more.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
Maybe he'll see it.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Vido really has the wine sniffered though?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
For real?

Speaker 1 (11:33):
By the way, should I allow my grandmother to pass
out candy at our house?

Speaker 4 (11:39):
What do you think she'll get taken? Advantage of what? Well,
advantage in.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
The sense of she's she's got, you know, some mental
things going on, and there might be some kids who
come by and say, oh, I've been here before, you know,
grab a couple extra bars of candy.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Strapped dang.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
With what Jonas?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
I mean, listen, whatever weapon of your choice, don't don't
get carried away.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
I take one at a time. Well, a strap isn't
a choice. The strap is a strap. Yeah that's a strap. Okay, Well,
I mean, how how bad do you want that heath bar?
I mean, commit don't you got to do like leave
the lap that walk that I know Grandma was about

(12:24):
to knock your head off with that cast.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
What was it more than one?

Speaker 7 (12:29):
Well, I only grabbed from the one bowl on the sidewalk.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Yeah, but that was it.

Speaker 10 (12:34):
Yeah, but you were out there walking around watching. Yeah,
but I didn't like go up to doors or anything
like that. That's kind of creepy, bro, What were you doing.

Speaker 9 (12:44):
I walked to my to my folks place, which is
like a mile and a half away, and went through
the neighborhoods and it's I live in a very famous,
uh neighborhood here in the valley where they where they
have the biggest like decorations.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
So you were just walking to Luca Lake. Yeah, that's
where Fred Rogan lives. He's told me about that place.

Speaker 9 (13:05):
Yeah, they bust people in. It's it's like standing room only. Yeah,
through the streets. It's he said that, it's crazy, like
do you meet people there? You drop people off at
the bottom and then they just walk up and down.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
It's wild. It is. Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 9 (13:19):
It's because you have a bunch of people who work
in the industry and they have they deck out their places.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
So wondering if I should keep up the tradition from
my dad when I was young.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
He used to scare the crap out of us. So
he do two things.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
He would find a spot to hide, and he would
pop out and scare us just we were coming back.
And he must have done it to like a bunch
of kids too, Like one time he hit in the
back of a truck that was parked on the street.
They pop out his kids and walk by, which is
horrifying when it's dark out and you're young. Another time
he dressed up on the front porch, did one of

(13:53):
those deals. Another time he popped out from the side
of the house. But the other thing he would do
is like I can't remember. It would be on Halloween
or like before. We'd like come back and he'd turn
off all the lights in the house and he would
always get like there would be like either one of
us would be like with him in on it or not,

(14:14):
but he would like hide somewhere in the house and
you'd act like he wouldn't answer, and you'd call for him,
and he just it was always.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Like the worst.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
I was like, as much as I enjoyed Halloween, I
was like, my dad may be so scared out of
my mind. Because the tricks he would play. Every single
year he'd do something.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
This is the way he dressed up as like a
fake Halloween prop on the porch. Yeah, and then and
then woke up.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
He did that one on the porch.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
I forget what he dressed up the one year he
hit in the back of a truck, but he just
he would lay Like I always think too back, like
how old was my dad at that age where he
was he found joy and fun out of just popping
up and scaring kids on Halloween and laying there all
night in the back bed of a truck.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
I'm thinking, like, how'd my mom handle that? Like she's
trying to try to handle her three kids.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Meanwhile he's out hiding in the truck, just getting ready
to scare everyone.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
That's great.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Did they have cell phones at that point? Like your
mind about saying so he was just literally out there waiting.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Yeah, yeah, I mean he.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Wasn't far from our house.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
But it's just more the thought of being married now
and trying to figure out the logistics of trigg or
treat and now my dad.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Just would go off on his own. I don't know, man, Choppers,
he's different.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Good for his shopple. By the way, the the money
line parlay that we threw, just the parlay party just
now the Bills to win out right, the Ravens to
win out right, and the Cowboys to win out right
this weekend plus two eighty one, So one hundred dollars
of all those hit pays out plus two eighty one,
so one hundred you get back three eighty one and

(15:46):
some change. So that is our parlay party, courtesy of
our friends at DraftKings. We've hit what two weeks in
a row now three? Last three we did hit two
weeks in a rowly, Yes we did. Oh yeah, we're
on a heater, baby.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
That's the most winning Jonas is done in a long time.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
By the way he would hit, he would turn off
the switches and the circuit panel. So that's where like
you couldn't even turn on the lights now really, yes,
he it was horrifying. Nice so that's a young kid.
It was terrifying.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Shut off the electricity of the whole out. Yeah, all right,
So we are going to turn the electricity on here
in this show because it is a big weekend in
the world of football, and we've got a representative from
both sides that are about to do bad, a little
Donnybrook live on the air here on the Halloween edition
of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe here on
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Be sure to catch live editions of Two Pros and
a Cup of Joe with Brady Quinn, LeVar Errington, and
Jonas Knox weekdays at six am Eastern, three am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Right now, we welcome in the Great Alper Prayer, Amazon
NFL on Prime Insider, the star of Thursday Night Football,
Senior NFL reporter, lead content strategist at the MMQB. You
can get them on x at Albert Breer and is
he also the pride of Ohio State. AB big weekend,

(17:17):
Good morning, and Happy Halloween.

Speaker 8 (17:20):
Yeah, I wasn't playing the flight song much after the
after after what happened on Saturday, even.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Though yeah, oh little Faith, the tech the text groups
were on fire. Brady, what were you most frustrated by
with the Ohio State performance this past weekend?

Speaker 8 (17:38):
The fact that we don't the fact that like one
tackle injury can throw everything into complete dis array at
the school that once had a Heisman finalists offensive tackle,
the School of Orlando, Pace should not have this issue
at that position. I mean, you know, don't you agree
with that? Like Big ten football, like.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Well, right should not have.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Right.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
I would agree with you, But there's this sentiment. The
transfer portal I think gets highlighted mostly for quarterback movement.
I would make the argument though, that it's also great
for offensive linemen because, as we all know, they're a
rare commodity. And if you were a guy who has
the potential to play maybe your backup your freshman year,

(18:28):
but if you were that highly recruited, or you're a
guy who has played in showcasing can play well at
a lower level, someone's going to be paying you to
go somewhere else. So it's impacted the depth of a
lot of offensive lines. And I think it's why you see,
you have your starters who you probably feel pretty good about,
which I think you felt great about Josh Simmons when
he was in there, and then you have your thin
behind and you have young guys who are unproven, who

(18:51):
are from high school, highly recruited, maybe at a place
like Ohio State or one of the blue bloods, but
they've got to prove themselves. And now you have another injury.
So now now you're getting pretty thin and general, and
that's why you're probably going to see Donovan Jackson moved
out to the left tackle, you know, maybe with Montgomery
is left guard like they showed last week.

Speaker 8 (19:07):
Yeah, I just I agree with all of that. Like
I just I don't. I don't know where the tackle
that we lost to the transfer portal that would have
been the answer is. I think this is more of
a recruiting issue.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
You lost anyone necessarily, I'm saying that's that's more what
impacts I think the ability to get sometimes some of
those guys to a stick.

Speaker 8 (19:28):
Yeah yeah, yeah, no, i'd agree, I'd agree with that.
But left tackle is a bad place to have a problem.
So hopefully hopefully gets short up somehow by Saturday.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Well I hope, yeah, I hope not. But then again
I do.

Speaker 5 (19:40):
I always want you to be at your best because
one of these times we are going to get you.
So that's just kind of I'm just waiting for that
one time.

Speaker 8 (19:49):
You guys have a good pass rusher who wears the
same number you did that I'm a little worried about
on Saturday.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
Well, he's pretty dark going good, but our line of
scrimmages are really good.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Man. I've been thoroughly impressed.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
With how physical they've been and how good they've been
for us. But anyways, I feel I feel good about
about the game this weekend. Aby, You're going to be there.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
You got to you. Yeah, I'll be there. I'll be there, Okay,
got to be there.

Speaker 8 (20:17):
Yeah, yeah, I know. It's only you know what, I
haven't been to State College and forever, and it's only
it's only a six hour drive. That was actually like
when I would drive from Boston to Columbus when I
was when I was in college, Like State College is
actually like dead middle Like that was the actual like
that that's that's that's that's halfway from Boston to Columbus.
So it's not that far. I actually probably could even

(20:39):
do a day trip for a new games I wanted.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
To, right, damn, Abe, I got to ask you. Obviously,
the trade deadline in the NFL is coming up on Tuesday.
There might be like another big event that's on Tuesday,
but for us, it's the trade deadline in the NFL.
What are the names to watch? Is there any like
I know there's the Tyreek Hill rumblings in practice yesterday?
Could he be on the block? Like, what are some

(21:03):
realistic names to watch that could be moved before the deadline?

Speaker 8 (21:06):
Well, I mean if you want, like there there are
the big names and the realistic names, and so I
think the big names like that, there's going to be
like noise about over the next seventy two hours, are
you know, like Miles Garett in in Cleveland and and

(21:26):
Max Crosby, you know with Vegas, you know you're going
to be you know, look at teams that are either
out of it or in the very fringe, and you
know those are those those general managers are going to
get called on those players because that's just the way
it works right now, right like you don't need to
shop one of those guys, Someone's going to call you
about them. And so you know, like you're going to

(21:49):
hear some rumblings on that and could something crazy happen?
Maybe you know, Brian Burns almost got traded two years
ago on this same premise, you know, like they had
no intention of trading them, but the Rams tried to
blow them away and almost wound up getting them, right,
So these sorts of things can happen. But you know,
I don't think those guys are being shopped. It's just

(22:10):
those teams that get calls them those guys, the more
realistic names are, you know, you look at the Panthers,
so you know, because they move at Youdebian Clowney or
you know, an Adams Ceeling. Maybe Ceelings a little less
likely now they've moved to Deontay Johnson. The Browns are
gonna have fielded calls on and and and I will
you know, will consider these, you know, guys like guys

(22:33):
like you know, Zadarius Smith, you know the pass rush
are opposite Miles Garrett and Greg Knew from the corner,
opposite Denzel Ward, you know, and then there was the
Patriots have received have gotten calls on their receivers the corner,
somebody that kJ Osbourne could become available, who was a
really good third receiver Minnesota for a bunch of years.
So I think those are the names you're probably looking

(22:55):
at more realistically. Again, like the big swings will come
and and you know there are aggressive general managers out
there who will make those calls, like if I'm Brad
Holmes in Detroit, like I'm gonna at least check in
on Max Crosby and Miles Garrett because I lost a
Aiden Hutchinson, you know, but I think the more realistic
names are probably those mid level guys.

Speaker 5 (23:16):
Could you imagine one of those guys to your team, Wow,
Aiden Hutchinson is recovering and then he eventually comes back, and.

Speaker 8 (23:24):
I have yeah, I have thought about that, Like what
that would be like if like, you.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
Know that Garrett and Aden Maiden Hutchinson, yeah sick.

Speaker 8 (23:35):
And and hey, I mean, Aiden does have a real
if they make it to the super Bowl and god,
they look like a super Bowl team, Aiden does have
a realistic shot of getting back like that. I mean.
The one thing that kind of you know, the one
one thing in the aftermat that was positive that came
out of the Aid Hutchinson thing was that it was
about as clean a break as you could could possibly
hope for. No ligament damage, no artery damage, no nerve damage,

(23:58):
like he was you know, again, like you don't want
to say he had great luck, because obviously the way
he broke is like, was really bad luck. But you know,
just as far as you know the circumstance and how
he came out of it, I mean, even to the
fact that like they were. I mean they were ten
minutes away. That statium is ten minutes away from a

(24:19):
level one trauma center, you know. So he went in
and had surgery done less than three hours after the
injury by one of the best doctors in the world
at that type of surgery, doctor Allen Jones. There, bail Or,
it's he's got a legit shot to play in the
Super Bowl as they make it that far.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
Can I ask you about what's going on in uh Indianapolis.
It seems to be an interesting kind of deal. I
don't know if you have any more intaeil than what
has been kind of put out there already in the public.
But what is I mean from your you know, from

(24:56):
your sources, what what is the reasoning for the benching?

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Is it? Is it really? Is it? Is it him
pulling himself out or is this something more there?

Speaker 8 (25:06):
Yeah, we can start with a low hanging fruit. That's
not why. But you know, I think it's an easy
thing for the rest of us to point to and
and and I don't you know, like I I don't
think that thing sort of thing goes over well in
the locker room. I mean, Brady, you can speak to this,
but I I can you know, I always remember Tom
Brady saying, like the way a quarterback proves his toughness

(25:26):
to his teammates in such a brutal game as through availability,
is through his ability to continue to answer the bell
and within reason, be out there under any circumstance, right,
and so like like, I think that that's that that
that that sort of thing, you know, breaking that sort
of quarterback code. That's a tough look for Anthony Richardson,

(25:49):
no question. I also think like she's having talked to
the people in that building that you know, Richardson is
a young kid who's a good kid, who is naive
to that and you know, and and probably didn't know
any better. Doesn't excuse it, but it kind of does
give you some context to the whole situation. And this
benching was not about that. The benching was about the

(26:10):
fact that Joe Flaccos just flat out been a better
option for them, and it was clear to everyone in
the locker room that he was a better option. And
you know, I think when you've got you know, veteran
players in the locker room like Michael Pittman and a
Jonathan Taylor and Alex Pearce, and Quentin Nelson, Like, I mean,
you tell those guys like, oh yeah, we're gonna throw

(26:31):
this year of your career overboard the name of quarterback development.
You can't do that. You know you're going to lose
your locker room if you do that. If they know
that there's a much better option on the roster for them,
and you're playing the guy who you know, gives you
less of a chance to win, gives guys less of
a chance to succeed individually, it just doesn't work, you know.
So that's what this was about. And you know, I

(26:53):
think the result of the fallout of it is Anthony
Richardson isn't on scholarship anymore, you know what I mean. Like,
he he's not going to be handed He's not going
to be handed opportunities going forward anymore. So Joe Flacco
is a quarterback from that for now and going forward
for the rest of the year if he plays well,
you know, and then after that, like I think, Anthony

(27:15):
rich is just going to have to earn his job back.
And I don't know what the clear path to getting
there is. It's like this conundrum. It's like the Trey
Lance thing. Right, You've got like a quarterback who just
needs reps and needs to play. But it absolutely isn't
the best thing for the other guys in the locker
room to have him out there.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Albert, we don't have much time left. I want to
kind of transition more to the tonight's game and what
you're seeing if the Jets can't win this one slight
favorite versus Houston. But does this lead you to think
that Aaron wouldn't come back for the last year on
his deal with the New York Jets or do you
feel like, I don't know, maybe looking at from the outside,

(27:55):
the type of competitor he is, he'd want to come
back because he doesn't want to leave.

Speaker 8 (27:58):
On this note, well, so, Brady, that building is a
tense place right now, and I think this comes from
the top and that you know, ownership has created an
environment where everybody's walking around on eggshelves and the owner
listens to a lot of different people, tays attention to

(28:19):
what's on the internet, and everyone knows it, and so
it's not the healthiest environment right now. And you know,
as a result, there's a feeling that seismic changes are
coming after the year if they can't somehow dig themselves
out of this. And so, you know, on one hand,
I mean I talked to Aaron about it in August

(28:39):
and he said, I wanted to play two fully healthy
seasons like I wanted to. That was my goal and
I still want to do that. And so his plan
coming into the year was to play two full seasons
for the Jets. You know, he but what he signed
up for was with Robert Salah and with Joe Douglas
as a general manager, and with the teammates on hand.

(29:03):
If there's going to be massive changes there is he
does he want to be a part of that, you know?
And if he doesn't, does he try to force his
way out that he tried to go somewhere else?

Speaker 6 (29:14):
You know?

Speaker 8 (29:15):
Does his presence hamper the ability of the team to
to find someone new to run the show? I mean,
I'd say the owner does way more than than Rogers would.
But it's just a complicated situation in a million different ways.
So i'd say TVD on that. I know his intention
was to play another year for sure, how like he

(29:35):
comes out of this year physically, and what the Jets
look like coming out of this year, you know, I
certainly think that could affect you know, you know where
he's at with all that.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Albert Breer, a senior NFL reporter at the MMQB, also
lead content strategist, more importantly, the star of Amazon NFL
on Primes Thursday night coverage. You can see him later
on tonight and abe quickly, I mean, do you think
at the end of this game in State College on
Saturday that Ohio State will be leading by more than

(30:05):
three and a half points.

Speaker 8 (30:07):
I'll I'll get Penn State to cover in Ohio State
to win. How about that?

Speaker 2 (30:12):
How about that?

Speaker 8 (30:12):
Because I'm pretty angry, and like I said, like the
text groups were on fire over the weekend. You know
what's new. So you know, for a while we've been
firing coaches and benching, benching players on there. We actually
had somebody asked for an NIL refund on one of
the textos over the weekend. So it's staying up at
the times in the text group.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Did someone actually donate to the NIL though?

Speaker 1 (30:35):
I feel like you'd be on a text chat with
a bunch of guys who say they do but don't
actually donate.

Speaker 8 (30:39):
That might be yeah, Well I haven't seen the checks, Brady,
so I.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
Yeah, I don't tell you, buddies, stop being cheap. Pony up.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Okay, twenty million is not enough. This roster should be
twenty five to thirty million next time.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
That's right, that's right, cheap asses.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
All right, Aby, we'll be watching later on tonight, we'll
be watching Saturday. Good luck, and we'll talk to you
next week.

Speaker 8 (31:00):
All right.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
There he is Albert Brears with this every single Thursday
here on Fox Fort Train.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
How are you feeling about the game. I know we
got it to get to break, but yeah, I think
we're going win. I'm pretty confident we're going to win
this year.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Any sense in the quarterback situation, I mean it sounds
like Aler is gonna be playing from everything I've read
so far, they're going to play both of them in Yeah.
So well, if our starts, I mean, you know, Pabula
will pledge in his own package and all that. Yeah,
that's correct. That's what I'm into. I'll tell you right now.
That has been an issue for Ohio State. They have
not been able to stop quarterback designed run slash, quarterback

(31:34):
scrambling on pass plays. Go back to Marshall, go back
to Oregon. Dylan Gabriel ripped off the touchdown run. Go
back to last week versus Dylan Ryola. I'm not saying
it's like broken them, but on third downs, red zone
in that area, like that's if I'm any kotal Nikki,
that's when I'm trying to run my quarterback or putting
in Pabuela up Because they have not been able to
stop it this year.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Yeah, I mean, I just haven't seen their pressure packages
be as pro lific as they've been in the past
for Ohio State. And you take that, you combo that
with how well our offensive front is playing and our
running attack. I just think that you're going to have

(32:15):
Chip trying to run the ball, Penn State's going to
try to run the ball, and it's going to come
down to who establishes it up front. And I think
that we have a very, very This is probably the
most well matched up in my estimation, we've been in
quite some time going up against o State.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Nice upfront. That is it is two pros and a

It's Lee's left, Joe.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
All right? The lap? What do we got?

Speaker 9 (33:41):
Well, we've kind of already discussed my Halloween plans basically
drink and walk around the neighborhood, which you guys are
more than welcome to join in. In fact, I've just shared
with you some uh, some images from my neighborhood. But
what are you guys gonna be up to for Halloween?

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Just getting ready for the show, you know, just hang out,
watch the game, hang out with my kid and uh
that's pretty much it, just professionally speaking, just getting ready
for the show. A lot of show prop for a
football Friday. Yeah, me too, sure is it where that happens?

Speaker 9 (34:13):
Is it too late for me to go get a
pumpkin and carve a jack lantern.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Right now? What do you think is it too late
for them to go get a pumpkin?

Speaker 7 (34:21):
I don't think it's too late at all.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
You'd probably get a sale, a good sale on them
now too. Actually they did.

Speaker 7 (34:27):
They took the pumpkins down in front of the well.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Where did they put them?

Speaker 4 (34:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
I think that's what you have to figure out.

Speaker 7 (34:34):
Probably, Yeah, I could probably just find them in the
dumpster in the back.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Huh.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
You just got to figure out where they put them
and then just go grab them out.

Speaker 7 (34:40):
You know what I love about pumpkins.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
You can buy them and then not carve them, and
they last all the way through like November, so you
can keep the same pumpkin.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
Yeah, and then you get throw them the cars? Yeah yeah,
whoa Okay, what else you got?

Speaker 8 (34:54):
Lee?

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:57):
Yeah? What else?

Speaker 7 (34:58):
What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Brady?

Speaker 7 (35:00):
You said you and the whole family are dressing up
as we.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Are addressing as the Wizard of Oz, as I said earlier,
So based on the Dorothy that I saw, it's gonna
look a little different.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
In my family. Come what, come on?

Speaker 8 (35:14):
Man?

Speaker 4 (35:15):
What do we come on?

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Man?

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Come on?

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Man?

Speaker 4 (35:17):
What you did?

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Well?

Speaker 4 (35:20):
Well, for the record, I don't.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Think anyone is actually dressing up as Dorothy, so I
hope not after that?

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Yeah, yeah, good luck.

Speaker 4 (35:31):
There's only one one Dorothy in damn right this show.

Speaker 7 (35:35):
Are you guys going Wicked?

Speaker 3 (35:36):
Though?

Speaker 8 (35:37):
You?

Speaker 9 (35:37):
Are you putting in the new Wicked costumes?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
What?

Speaker 1 (35:42):
No, We're doing the normal that the original version Lee
bs remakes That happened a thousand times.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
Over in every movie.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Unbelievablely, just I mean, sometimes you forget the originals better
the originals betterly.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Go have another sip of water.

Speaker 7 (35:59):
Ly like Michael Keaton more than Christian Bell.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
And that's your if that's your rationale, Okay, we'll have that.

Speaker 5 (36:07):
Diana Ross as as Dorothy, though I did like the wiz.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
What else we got in there with you? What else?

Speaker 9 (36:23):
Go get yourself some Halloween deals. You can get a
boo rito at Chipotle. You get a bog deal instead
of a bog deal.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Those those aren't lamb or anything.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
No, of course, Wait, Lee, what's up by one get
one free deal at BW Three's.

Speaker 9 (36:37):

every Thursday, Boneless Thursday.

Speaker 7 (36:45):
Yeah, but they just put an extra someone the boneless dog.

Speaker 2 (36:49):

Speaker 8 (36:50):
